Erica: Samuel, hello.
Erica: Is this a bad time?
Samuel: No, no, no, come on in.
Erica: Thank you. I read in the paper that they're calling for you to drop out of the Senate race because of your son Dre, because of that horrible hit-and-run charge.
Samuel: Well, you know it's all part of the game. They, they build you up and then they look for any excuse to take you down.
Erica: Yes, any excuse, including me.
Jesse: Out on Route 77, that's right.
Angie: Hey, baby, you hungry?
Jesse: I know it's a lot of road, Stroupe, but that lug wrench could be our missing piece. All right, just keep looking. Call me when you get something. All right, thanks. Unbelievable.
Angie: The Novak case?
Jesse: [Sighs] What else?
Angie: When is this all going to end?
Frankie: Thank you. So, how's life?
Cassandra: Sucks. Yours?
Frankie: I think "sucks" pretty much covers it.
Annie: Aidan and Greenlee, they looked so happy.
Ryan: Yeah, yeah, they definitely did.
Annie: And what about you?
Ryan: What about me?
Annie: Are you bummed we didn't get to renew our vows?
Ryan: Yeah, yeah, I mean crashing in on Greenlee's ceremony like that, our moment kind of slipped away a little bit.
Annie: Well, what about this moment? Think about it, if tonight had gone the way it was supposed to, this would kinda, sorta, kinda be our honeymoon.
Ryan: What, what's wrong?
Annie: Oh, my God.
Greenlee: Oh. When did you --
Aidan: It's magic.
Greenlee: It is, isn't it? You, me, this whole day is magic.
Aidan: Just wait and see what I pull out of my hat next.
Greenlee: We really did it, Aidan. We're married.
Aidan: Well, it's not quite official yet.
Greenlee: Uh, hello.
Aidan: I think you are forgetting a very important, time-honored tradition.
Greenlee: If you say the word consummate right now, I'm so out that door.
Aidan: I was going to say I love you. And I can't wait to start the rest of my life with you.
Greenlee: Then don't.
Kendall: Greenlee looks so happy.
Zach: Yes, she did.
Kendall: Maybe we should renew our vows.
Zach: I thought you didn't like that idea.
Kendall: Well, that's because it was psycho Annie's idea. But now, I don't know, what do you think? Would you marry me all over again?
Zach: We went through all this at Angie and Jesse's wedding, remember?
Kendall: Well, yeah, but a lot has happened since then, and you never gave me an answer. Would you do it all over again?
Jake: Hey, you found my favorite beach. Thank you for stopping.
Woman: It's Jake, right?
Jake: Yes, thank you for remembering.
Woman: Can I help you with something?
Jake: Well, it's actually me, I think that I can help you.
Woman: I didn't realize I had a problem.
Jake: Oh, yeah, you do, you have a -- you have a problem. You're over-striding.
Woman: I'm over-striding?
Jake: Yeah, I know this might sound a little cheesy, but I'm a doctor. No, I am and what you have is a classic case of over-striding. Oh, it can lead to terribly, you know, painful things. You know, issues like Achilles tendonitis, ITB pain, knees, back, hips, well, everything ends up in the hips. Not your hips.
Jake: Yes, wow.
Woman: So, this is your thing?
Jake: What's my thing?
Woman: You're the uh, "I'm a doctor." I mean, what are you going to do, whip out your stethoscope now? Should I be impressed?
Jake: Oh, no, no, no, no, I wasn't trying to --
Woman: Ok, that's good.
Jake: But I am a doctor.
Woman: Well, then you might want to tuck your stethoscope back in.
Samuel: I know you're a force to be reckoned with, Erica. But even you wouldn't be able to just snuff out my campaign. So I appreciate the concern, but I've survived worse, and I'll figure it out.
Erica: Of course, you will. And I appreciate very much, I admire very much how honest you've been with the voters about me. But whatever you choose to do next, I will completely understand.
Erica: If you need to cut ties, please, just say the word.
Samuel: What's going on here, Erica? Are you giving me an out? Or are you looking for one yourself?
Kendall: Ok, maybe it's something weird about Vegas, but I swear you just said that you wouldn't --
Zach: I know what I just said, I wouldn't do it again. No, I would not, I'm sorry. Not alone on a boat. This time I would rent the Sistine Chapel for you.
Kendall: You know what? You, my friend, are so full of it. Yes, you are, because if you had it your way, we would get re-hitched at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
Zach: Yes, but only if the chapel were being used for something else. Think about it, come on, our name on the Jumbotron, "Always only you", pow. Zamboni ride, there's rings everywhere, it's like heaven.
Kendall: That's heaven, yeah, that's what every girl dreams about.
Zach: I know. But seriously, as I said before, I wouldn't need to do any of this stuff, because it's all right here. We're good.
Kendall: Yeah, you know what? We are good. It's everyone else that's crazy. What?
Zach: We actually got to talk about ourselves for a minute-and-a-half. It was nice.
Kendall: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Zach, it's just I can't ignore what happened.
Zach: You could try.
Kendall: No. Greenlee and Aidan, surprise. Heh, they're married.
Zach: And they're happy, it's what you said.
Kendall: Yeah, but Greenlee doesn't know everything. Ryan is in love with her, and what if they're supposed to be together?
Zach: I thought we were going to let this go.
Kendall: It's just, Zach, I see Ryan with Annie and he is not ok. What do you think they are doing right now?
Zach: Let's find out.
Ryan: Hey, got these from the vending machine. I don't know if it will help at all. You can try them. Did you have morning sickness like this with Emma all day long?
Annie: Not like this.
Annie: Unless I just blocked it out.
Ryan: Hey, tell me what I can do. What can I do?
Annie: Go downstairs, go have some fun.
Ryan: No, absolutely not, I'm not leaving you.
Annie: This is supposed to be a vacation. I'm sorry, Ryan, you have to deal with this.
Ryan: Why? I'm not.
Aidan: I love you.
Greenlee: That's good, because I love you, too.
Aidan: I mean it. Every time I see you, and I mean every single time, you take my breath away.
Singer: I didn't know I've been runnin' I didn't know how much I'd missed feels like the first time when we touched like this you're waking me you're breaking me down you're the ache in me since you've been around and I fell so in love the more that I saw your face I fell so in love with you your lips, your eyes, your smile was my saving grace and I'm so in love with you it's such a sweet thing to hold you this way it's such a sweet thing to have you in my life and I fell so in love the more that I saw your face I fell so in love with you
Dré: How are you doing?
Cassandra: I've been better, considering that my new best friend and I are in serious trouble and my boyfriend might go on trial for murder.
Frankie: Boyfriend, hmm.
Cassandra: Uh, whatever, friend, boy, it's --
Frankie: Nah, that's cool, you don't have to play it down. I like Dré, he's a good guy.
Cassandra: Yeah, he is. And just when we were starting to figure things out -- God, I don't know what to do.
Frankie: Well, I wish I had some answers for you.
Cassandra: Me, too.
Frankie: You know, I get called off to protect this country, and it's a damn shame I can't do anything to protect you.
Cassandra: Look, I know you would if you could.
Frankie: Yeah, well, at least you've got my dad on your side.
Cassandra: What? My side? Please.
Jesse: Now, I know what's going down with Franklin is not ideal.
Angie: Ideal? He beat down some dangerous low-life pimp.
Jesse: Yeah, not his swiftest move. But he is grown and he can take care of himself, and he will.
Jesse: And Cassandra, she is my number one priority in all of this. You've got to know that.
Angie: Sweetheart, my baby can't go to jail.
Jesse: Even in the worst-case scenario, that's not going to happen.
Angie: Well, let's talk best case. What does that look like?
Jesse: They all get off, free and clear.
Angie: But Dré Woods hit Richie Novak.
Jesse: Yes, he did, but there's still the question of when.
Angie: What are you talking about? We know when, the night of the hit-and-run. What?
Jesse: Listen, now, I don't have anything concrete and I don't want you to jump all over this, but I'm looking into other options.
Angie: What other options?
Jesse: I'm thinking that maybe somebody else is responsible for Richie's death.
Kendall: You want to spy on Annie?
Zach: How else are we going to find out what they're doing?
Kendall: What is this for?
Zach: Put it up against the wall. They're right next door. Listen to them.
Kendall: Zach, you said this whole place was sound-proofed. I mean, do you really think this could work?
Zach: No, I don't think it would work.
Kendall: Well, I don't know. I mean, it's not the craziest idea.
Zach: It is the craziest idea.
Kendall: No, if, think about -- we have to find something that --
Zach: Stop. You've got to stop this right now.
Annie: You don't have to pretend this is fun for you.
Ryan: I am not pretending. What, I'm not, really. I have two kids, right? And I didn't get to go through any of this with either of them.
Annie: Through what, the vomiting stage?
Ryan: Yeah, no, the beginning stage, I'd like to call it, thank you, and it's kind of cool, actually.
Annie: Of course, it is. Sorry, I didn't even think of that. This is a huge deal for you. You deserve to enjoy every second.
Ryan: Well, I don't know if I'd say that, exactly. I don't know if I deserve to, I mean, I did a lot of stuff that I'm not proud of. You know, I walked away from a lot of people that matter, Annie, and hurt a lot of people.
Annie: Are you talking about way back, with Erin and Jonathan?
Ryan: I'm talking about them, talking about the fact that I took off on Greenlee when she was pregnant, you know, and --
Annie: You thought you were doing the right thing.
Ryan: Yeah, but it was the wrong thing. Annie, it was wrong. And it was very, very selfish, and I will not make those mistakes again, I just won't.
Annie: I'm not worried.
Ryan: Because I know where I am, and I'm with you and when I'm not, I'm with Spike. I'm a father, and I'm not going to leave you.
Annie: I know.
Ryan: This is, this is my life.
Annie: And what about your life with Greenlee?
Greenlee: We came to Vegas to get away from everything.
Aidan: And everyone.
Greenlee: And then out of nowhere they just show up for our wedding.
Aidan: It's incredible. The only ones that were missing were Jack and Tad.
Greenlee: I know. Wait till my dad hears.
Aidan: Do you think he'll be upset?
Greenlee: I think he'll be thrilled.
Aidan: Because when we get back to Pine Valley, you know, we can always have a real wedding. He can walk you down the aisle and give you away, all of it.
Greenlee: I know, but I meant what I said, Aidan. I'm over the whole big wedding bonanza. Today was perfect.
Aidan: As are you, Mrs. Devane.
Greenlee: Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. We're not really doing that, right?
Aidan: Doing what?
Greenlee: The name thing. I -- I'm Greenlee Smythe.
Aidan: Yeah, you were up until two hours ago.
Greenlee: No, no, no, I'm serious, Aidan. There's no way I'm taking your name.
Erica: I told you. My concern is for you. It's for your campaign.
Samuel: Hmm, and what's the latest with you and Jackson?
Erica: Well, where does that come from?
Samuel: It's not a fair question?
Erica: Jack and I are over.
Erica: Yes, I ended it.
Samuel: And you're ok with that?
Erica: I am. He was very, I mean, it was awful. He was devastated.
Samuel: Well, when did this all happen?
Erica: Just a little while ago.
Samuel: Erica, I know life is complicated. And I know my running for the Senate, that doesn't make anything easier. But for me, for the first time in a long time, I look forward just to waking up in the morning. I look forward to next week, next year.
Erica: Well, what were you thinking about before?
Samuel: The past, yesterday.
Erica: You mean before your wife died?
Samuel: Before my life was on hold.
Erica: But Samuel, you are a U.S. Attorney. I mean, you're running for the United States Senate. You've hardly been hiding out all this time, for seven years.
Samuel: No, I don't mean my work. I mean from some level my own son, my own thoughts.
Erica: Your heart?
Samuel: Until now. Till you.
Woman: Here he comes again.
Jake: You know what? It's not your stride. It's the fact that you are favoring your right foot. I bet you anything that you once had some sort of injury or something to your left foot.
Woman: Would you do me a favor and just try to keep your eyes right here, ok? Instead of checking out the rest.
Jake: No, no, no, no, no, no. I promise you, I was only focused on your feet, that's how I --
Woman: Right, and my hips and my ITB and everything else --
Jake: No, I was just saying the thing about your feet --
Woman: Well, I'm just leaving.
Jake: Wait a second, wait, wait. I'm not trying to hit on you, or any --
Jake: No, I'm not.
Woman: Just casually observing?
Jake: I promise. What's your name? You got a name?
Woman: I do have a name.
Jake: Wow, ok. How about I race you for it?
Woman: You want to race?
Woman: To hear my name?
Woman: Where to?
Jake: That tree.
Woman: You'll lose.
Jake: Really, ok, well, we'll see about that. On three, ok?
Woman: Yep, on three.
Jake: One, two, three.
Woman: Whoo! Even with the gimpy left foot and the bad hips.
Jake: You're training for something, aren't you? Iron man --
Woman: No, I told you. I just like to run.
Jake: Well, I can tell.
Woman: Well, thanks for the race, Dr. Jake.
Jake: Yeah, anytime.
Jake: Anytime, Taylor.
Taylor: Just Taylor.
Greenlee: I know I've joked about it before, even tried it on for size, but it's not happening.
Aidan: It's just a name, Greenlee.
Greenlee: But it's not. It's Smythe, it's who I am.
Aidan: Ok, well then, then keep it. You know, I just assumed that when I got married that my wife would take my last name, but to be honest, it really doesn't matter.
Greenlee: What about everything else?
Aidan: Everything else what?
Greenlee: How much do you expect from me, Aidan?
Greenlee: How much of myself am I supposed to give?
Aidan: Greenlee, where is all this coming from?
Greenlee: I need to do it right this time.
Aidan: Unlike last time with Ryan?
Greenlee: I turned myself inside out for him. I became everything he needed me to be or what I thought he needed me to be. I was so desperate to hang on to him, I lost myself.
Greenlee: I don't know. I loved him, and I wanted to keep him, and I turned into this stranger, and I don't want to be that person with you.
Aidan: You don't have to be.
Ryan: My life with Greenlee?
Annie: Just listening to you talk about being a father, it's such a huge part of your life.
Ryan: Ok, so I still don't see how Greenlee fits into that.
Annie: Well, I'm just saying, what do you think would have happened if you and Greenlee had stayed together?
Ryan: I don't really know. I haven't really given that a lot of thought.
Annie: It's just after everything she went through to try to give you a baby, turns out she doesn't want children. She never did.
Ryan: Yeah, well, it was a really confusing time, so --
Annie: Yeah, and I get that, but imagine what your life would have been if it had turned out the way that she wanted to. You'd be married to Greenlee, you'd have a son or a daughter Spike's age, maybe you'd have more children, who knows?
Ryan: Yeah, maybe we would.
Annie: But deep down, she wouldn't really want those children, and she'd probably end up resenting you for them.
Ryan: I have no idea how it would have ended up, Annie. I don't know why. It doesn't even matter.
Annie: It does matter, Ryan, because you live for your children. You want to give them everything, and if you had possibly ended up with Greenlee --
Ryan: Well, you think somehow it would have hurt the kids or something?
Annie: I don't know, I'm just saying. Kids are smart. They know when something's wrong just like Emma did when we were having our issues.
Ryan: And now?
Annie: Now she's happier than I've seen her in a long time. We both are.
Ryan: Well, good. You and Emma smiling, that is exactly the way it should be.
Kendall: Don't you dare put this all on me.
Zach: I'm not.
Kendall: No, this whole ridiculous crackpot bonding excursion here in Vegas, this was not my idea. This was yours.
Zach: I know, and I regret it.
Kendall: Yeah, well, you know what? It's too late now.
Zach: No, it's not too late. We can remove ourselves out of other people's lives as soon as we want. Anytime we want to get rid of their stuff, we can do that.
Kendall: Ok, well, you know what, Zach, this, this is big stuff. It's huge. Ryan, it's like he's dying inside.
Zach: What? God, I'm sorry he's dying inside. It's not my problem.
Kendall: Well, you're the one who proclaimed us all family and look what's happened to it. Annie is up to God knows what.
Zach: We don't know that.
Kendall: You're the one who said there is something totally off with this woman.
Zach: Yes, maybe there's something off with her, that's what I said. But is she nuts? I don't know. Is Ryan very sad? Yes, he's very sad right now.
Kendall: Ok, so you're saying you don't care.
Zach: What I'm saying is I want us to live our life on our terms, not somebody else's.
Kendall: Ok, but Zach, there's something going on --
Zach: We've lost ourselves here. We've lost who we are. And I would like that back.
Jesse: Well, we know that the kids ran over Richie Novak. We've got proof of that. But what we don't know is whether he was alive at the time.
Angie: What makes you think he wasn't?
Jesse: A hunch. This case, it's just not fitting together the way it's supposed to.
Angie: So there's a missing piece?
Jesse: And if I find it, it's going to change everything for Cassandra, Dré, and Colby, too.
Cassandra: Jesse hauled us into the station, put Dré behind bars.
Frankie: That's his job, Cass.
Cassandra: Yeah, well, he's really good at it.
Frankie: Hey, Jesse wants to protect you. You're his daughter.
Cassandra: Step, Frankie, step.
Frankie: Hey, hey, that doesn't matter, and you know it. I mean, he's a solid guy. He won't let anything happen to you.
Cassandra: You know what, I'm just -- I'm really tired of talking about that night.
Frankie: Ok, ok, ok. What do you want to talk about?
Cassandra: Come on, Hubbard. What is going on with you and Randi?
Frankie: To tell you the truth, I don't know.
Cassandra: Do you like her?
Frankie: Yeah, I do.
Cassandra: Wow. Well, I guess, hey, it doesn't matter what Mom says, right? You got to go for it.
Frankie: I wish. It's a little more complicated than that, Cass.
Cassandra: Complicated? Hmm, welcome to my world.
Annie: What about your smile, Ryan?
Ryan: My smile's right here.
Annie: I'm serious. I need to know that you're happy.
Ryan: For the one millionth time, my family growing every second makes me happy.
Annie: I love you so much.
Ryan: I'm here for you, ok? And I'm never going to leave.
Richie: Oh, sis. Not exactly "I love you back," is it? Oh, yeah, you've really got him pinned with that bun in the oven, but, oo-wee, this guy, he'd rather be anywhere but here with you.
Ryan: What? What's wrong?
Annie: I want to go home.
Ryan: What? We -- we have the room till tomorrow.
Annie: I know. I just -- all this talk about family just makes me want to go home and spend time with ours.
Ryan: Ok. All right, let's get out of here.
Aidan: I'm not Ryan, you know?
Greenlee: I know.
Aidan: And you can be anybody you want to be.
Greenlee: Well, that's good. Because I've finally figured out who that is.
Aidan: I know. I fell in love with her, remember?
Greenlee: Aww. So you're really ok with me not taking your name?
Aidan: Yeah. I didn't marry you so our last names would match. It's going to be different this time, Greenlee. No one's going to disappear. No one's going to get lost. There's you, there's me.
Greenlee: And there's us.
Greenlee: You know, there's only so long that you can stay in Vegas. Home sounds really good right now.
Aidan: Well, then home it is, Ms. Smythe.
Zach: Greenlee's married, and Annie and Ryan, they're doing whatever they're doing, and what about us? Where are we?
Kendall: We're right here, together, living our life.
Zach: Yeah, well, sure, but we're not. We're not living our life, we're in somebody else's life.
Kendall: I don't know what you want me to say to that.
Zach: I want you to say that it was a mistake to come here, that we shouldn't have done it.
Kendall: Yeah, well, it wasn't my idea.
Zach: When's the last time the four of us, you, me, and the boys, went to the park together?
Kendall: I don't know. Yeah, you know what? You're right.
Zach: We shouldn't be here.
Kendall: No, we shouldn't. Let's go home to our boys.
Erica: Samuel, we can't. I can't.
Samuel: You're going to tell me you're not that kind of girl?
Erica: Something like that.
Samuel: Well, that's ok. Because I'm not that kind of guy. I mean, I haven't been in a long time. And you do something to me. You've got some magic. I don't even know how to describe it.
Erica: You don't have to. I think I know.
Samuel: So what do we do now? Don't go saying it's up to me.
Erica: Well, you are the one who's running for the United States Senate.
Samuel: I know, I know, I'm running for the Senate. Listen, ok? If I thought this, you and I, was a sure threat, then... but I don't. I honestly don't.
Erica: So, there's nothing holding us back.
Samuel: It's kind of scary, isn't it?
Erica: A little, I guess. And you? Are you ready?
Samuel: Is anyone ever ready for Erica Kane? Now, now, listen, it's no secret. I'm pretty rusty at this.
Erica: That kiss would indicate otherwise.
Samuel: Erica, there were days I thought I'd never be ready, and you woke me up. So even though it's new, and it's complicated and it's nerve-wracking as hell, I'll take the leap if you take it with me.
Angie: So Richie's real killer could be out there somewhere, letting these poor kids they took a life.
Jesse: I know, isn't that trifling?
Jesse: Hubbard. Hello, anybody there? Wrong number.
Angie: Hey, guys. Did you have fun?
Cassandra: Yeah, it was party central. Just like the rest of my life right now.
Angie: Well, I hope you didn't spoil your appetites, because I'm making a serious meal tonight.
Jesse: She's serious. I checked out the goods. She means some business.
Cassandra: So we, what? We just all sit down to dinner and pretend everything's normal?
Frankie: It couldn't hurt, Cass.
Cassandra: It can't help, either.
Jesse: Come on, your mother's just trying to make things better.
Cassandra: Don't talk for my mother. Why are you even talking to me at all?
Angie: Cassandra Foster, where are you going?
Cassandra: Anywhere but here.
[Knock at door]
Angie: Oh. So you decided to come back, did -- oh, I'm sorry. Can I help you?
Taylor: Yes, ma'am, I'm looking for Franklin Hubbard.
Angie: Of course. Uh, Franklin? There's someone here to see you.
Zach: Thank you.
Kendall: Uh, so are we just leaving Ryan and Annie stranded?
Zach: No, I'm going to send the jet back to pick them up later. I left a note with him.
Kendall: What'd it say? "Good riddance and good luck?"
Kendall: Oh, ok.
Kendall: That works.
Ryan: You want to wait here while I go leave a note for Zach and Kendall?
Annie: No, I'll go with you.
Ryan: Ok, come on.
Greenlee: One more for the road.
Aidan: Such a gambler. Go on, go on, go on...
Greenlee: Aww. It's officially time to go. My luck has run out.
[Earring rattling on the floor]
Greenlee: Oh, shoot.
Aidan: Don't worry about it. We'll be getting proper rings when we get back to Pine Valley.
Greenlee: But I love this one.
Aidan: Greenlee Smythe doesn't want to upgrade to some major bling?
Greenlee: Because I'm not the girl I used to be.
Aidan: You're all mine now. All right, I'm not saying that like I own you, you know? I'm just --
Greenlee: Yeah, I know what you meant.
[Ryan and Annie speaking]
Ryan: Whoa-whoa-whoa, I'm sorry. Oh. I'm sorry.
Aidan: It's all right.
Zach: Well, what do you know? Sounds like everyone had the same idea.
Samuel: Thank you for stopping by.
Erica: Thank you for the talk. So, I'll see you when I see you.
Samuel: Not unless I see you first.
Erica: Thank you.
Zach: Well, we're all going to the same place. It doesn't make sense to go separately. You guys want to hitch a ride?
Greenlee and Annie: Really?
Kendall: Uh, no, I just -- I thought that you guys would want to be alone, but, you know, if we're all going to the same place, yeah, come with us.
Greenlee: You sure you guys don't mind? And what about you two? We're newlyweds, prone to sudden, over-the-top, romantic outbursts.
Ryan: Well, thank you for the warning, but I think we'll be all right, right?
Greenlee: How about you?
Aidan: Yeah. To fly privately back to Pine Valley on a Cambias jet? I'm in.
Annie: All right.
Greenlee: Well, come on. Let's go, team. Too much fun.
Cassandra: Dad! It's me. I miss you, too. I need your help.
Taylor: Hi, Hubb.
Taylor: How are you?
Taylor: Did you miss me?
Frankie: Like shrapnel to the head. Look at you.
