Jesse: Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

Adam: This is insane, Jesse.

Jesse: If you want a lawyer --

Colby: But we all said that we were the ones that were driving the car that hit Richie.

Cassandra: I wouldn't ask you to stop him because you wouldn't, anyway.

Jesse: Do you understand these rights, yes or no?

Adam: No, not another word. I want to see him put his daughter in prison.

Cassandra: Stepdaughter. God, I don't even care anymore.

Angie: Well, I do. Will you tell Jesse the truth?

Dré: I told the truth. I was driving.

Cassandra: I was driving.

Colby: I was driving.

Adam: Stop this insanity.

Jesse: Shut up! Let's go.

Samuel: Yeah. No, Carl, I'm at the station now. Well, then, keep it off the airwaves. Right. André, what's going on?

Krystal: Colby? We got here as soon as we could.

Colby: Hey, you're here just in time to watch us get booked for murder.

Tad: Somebody want to clue me in?

J.R.: They're trying to charge them with Novak's hit-and-run.

Adam: No car, no proof. Hubbard's doing a real bang-up job as chief.

Babe: All three claimed they were driving.

Samuel: Jess, I'm going to need to talk to my son in private.

Krystal: Look they're just kids, all right? They didn't do anything evil or intentional.

Angie: Sweetheart, look, please, let's just slow down.

Jesse: Baby, they confessed. It's over. Do you understand your rights, yes or no?

Aidan: Shall we move this party into --

Greenlee: Jake's at work.

Aidan: It's a long shift?

Greenlee: Really, really long.

Aidan: Hold on. Do you smell that?

Greenlee: What? New after-shave?

Aidan: No, it's a gas leak, Greenlee. Get up. Quick, get out of here.

Ryan: Settle down, Kendall. It's just a -- it's just a key.

Kendall: It's a key that Annie hid, which means it's a secret.

Ryan: So you've said now, twice.

Kendall: Did you know about this key? No. Did anybody here at Fusion know? That means it's a secret. I mean, it could be anything. It could be to a diary, I don't know, a lock box, um, a locker at a bus station in Texas?

Ryan: She's never even been to Texas.

Kendall: How do you know that? How do you know? How do you know anything about Annie, at all?

[Annie sighs as she sits in her wrecked car waiting impatiently]

Annie: You're with Greenlee, aren't you, Ryan? That's why you're not calling me back.

[Annie sighs]

[Annie hyperventilates on purpose]

Annie: Zach, there's been an accident! I can't get in touch with Ryan. I'm so scared. And the baby, please, help me.

Aidan: Greenlee, get out of here already.

Greenlee: Well, are we going to blow up?

Aidan: Not unless you light a match.

Greenlee: Well, then, I'm not leaving.

Aidan: Gas kills brain cells.

Greenlee: Yeah, well, I was too smart, anyway, very intimidating.

Aidan: Can you go get me a sponge and some soap and water?

Greenlee: Sure. Should I be offended that you were so easily distracted from me?

Aidan: I smelled some really bad gas, and I knew it couldn't be you.

Greenlee: Ha-ha. Yeah, because I'm roses and fresh-cut grass and a little bit of "Charm!" perfume. There we go.

Aidan: Thanks. Now, if you see bubbles --

Greenlee: Yeah.

Aidan: That means there's still a leak.

Greenlee: Well, no bubbles. Is there anything you can't do?

Aidan: Ah, this -- not the kind of action I was looking for tonight.

Greenlee: Yeah, well, there's the mood going to the door, making a break for it. Oops, well, too late, it's gone.

Aidan: What do you want to do now?

Greenlee: We could, uh, go and tell everyone how you saved our lives.

Aidan: Yeah, we could air this place out and, um, go get a drink. What do you say?

Greenlee: Ok.

Aidan: You know what? We should put some clothes on first.

Greenlee: Ah, good idea.

Kendall: What if this key is the clue to who the baby's real father is?

Ryan: What?

Kendall: Well, I mean, what if -- what if Annie did cheat on you and that -- and what if the -- this baby is his, whoever he is?

Ryan: For the last time, Kendall, I am the baby's father, ok? I passed the big test and everything.

Kendall: Ok, well, maybe it's a coincidence.

Ryan: Ok, so, basically, what you're saying is that Annie had an affair, she had an affair and then she got pregnant with another man's child and, just by some master stroke of telepathy, she knew the procedure was never done and I could father a child, just tie it all together, really nice.

Kendall: Well, it could, sort of, maybe, happen like that. I don't know. I don't know, Ryan. I just know that she's keeping something from you.

Ryan: And I am keeping something from her, Kendall. It's a little late for me to be righteous.

Kendall: No, you are hiding your feelings for Greenlee. But the difference is, Ryan, you're doing it to protect Annie. Now, is her lie to protect you or betray you?

[Annie sighs]

Annie: It's supposed to be your daddy, sweetheart. He's supposed to find us and promise to never let us go. But Zach will be here soon. He has to find us so your daddy will realize how much he loves us. And never think about Greenlee again.

[Car approaches]

[Annie sighs and pretends to feel faint]

[Car stops]

[Door opens and closes]

[Annie coughs]

Annie: Thank God, you're here.

[Annie coughs]

Zach: It's ok, it's fine. Everything's fine.

Annie: I was afraid to move because -- because of the baby.

Zach: Lean back.

[Annie coughs]

Annie: What? I didn't call the EMTs.

Zach: I did.

Annie: I was -- I was afraid I was overreacting, but I couldn't think straight. Zach, this baby has to be ok.

Zach: It'll be fine. Everything's going to be just fine. Just relax.

Jesse: Richie Novak didn't kill himself and, apparently, these three young people think this is some kind of game.

Tad: Well, evidently, you do, too, if you think you're going to take this mess before the D.A.

Jesse: I get a confession, I take it.

J.R.: That's a damn lie, and you know it.

Samuel: Look, look, nothing happens until I speak to my son.

Tad: I want to talk to Colby, too.

Adam: Martin, stay out of this. Colby's nothing to you.

Krystal: Adam, come on, that's enough.

Jesse: It doesn't matter one way or another. All three of them are adults.

Tad: You're really going to go through with this? You're going to arrest Cass? You want to explain this to me?

Angie: Tad, I don't know what to say. She confessed.

Jesse: Perry, would you separate the suspects again?

Adam: Is my daughter under arrest or not?

Jesse: Move it, Perry, now.

Angie: Cassandra, baby, we're going to sort this out. I promise you.

Adam: Barry, you overpriced, empty suit, you better be on a plane back to Pine Valley right now.

Tad: Why are they all confessing to this?

J.R.: Some genius way to tie the investigation up in knots, probably Colby's idea.

Krystal: Colby said they had some sort of pact of silence.

Tad: Oh, you -- you already got to talk to Colby?

Krystal: Yeah, yeah, not just now but yes.

Tad: In other words, you already knew about it. Who else?

J.R.: Well, Dad got rid of Colby's car, so you can count him in.

Krystal: Petey Cortlandt, he knows.

Tad: Yeah, I heard he was hanging out with them. I guess I should be grateful my little brother's not down here confessing, too, at least not yet. Has Jesse interviewed anybody else besides the kids?

J.R.: Not that I know of.

Tad: That means he's trying to scare them. He figures if he goes on long enough about Miranda and bookings, whoever drove that car will actually confess. You know who it is, don't you?

Krystal: Tad, I want to talk to you about this, but right now, I have a feeling Angie is probably ready to crack, so I'm going to talk to her.

Angie: I'm -- I'm -- I'm so sorry. I never expected --

Krystal: You have nothing to be sorry about and neither does Jesse.

Angie: Oh, the hell he doesn't. He shouldn't have listened to me. Cassandra, she was -- she was angry and -- and defiant. She wouldn't open up and just listen to me and -- and -- and now --

Krystal: They're scared, all right? They're scared and we all are.

Angie: She told me that I chose Jesse over her. Did I, by telling him to bring her here?

Krystal: How are we going to help them if they're not going to let us?

Angie: She's always knew that she could count on me. What have I done?

Samuel: All right, man, tell me something. Jesse, why are you pushing my son so hard?

Jesse: You are a prosecutor, Samuel. I have three persons of interest here jacking the system, saying that they are the only ones who committed a hit-and-run homicide. What do you suggest?

Samuel: It's a spontaneous admission. It's not a confession. The man didn't sign anything. I suggest you let me talk to my son.

Jesse: Well, he's an adult. He's also refused the right to have an attorney.

Samuel: Can I talk to my kid?

Jesse: Go, talk to him. Hope it does some good.

Adam: So that's how it works? A politician spends time with his child, but I don't?

Jesse: Nobody's stopping you, Adam, but if you encourage your daughter to lie --

Adam: You'll what?

Colby: Just leave me alone.

Adam: Not a chance.

J.R.: We can help you.

Colby: Daddy already got rid of my car. What are you going to get rid of now?

Adam: The car was stolen, Colby.

J.R.: Colby, this is no time to be tough. You're smart. You think you can handle everything, but I've been in a cell.

Colby: So have I.

Adam: Yes, and you enjoyed it so much you want to spend 25 years there.

J.R.: Look, you need to recant. You need to tell them that you were confused, that you were coerced.

Colby: Don't you even care if I did it or not?

Adam and J.R.: No.

Adam: We just want to get you out of here.

Colby: Hmm, so you two are a team now, huh?

J.R.: When it comes to you we are.

Adam: We're family.

Angie: Cassandra, just stop all this and tell us what happened on Route 77.

Cassandra: I was driving Colby's car.

Jesse: Ok, I can't hear this again. I can't do it.

Angie: Will you stop playing these games?

Cassandra: No one is playing, except I still win, because I get to see where I stand with you. That's my prize. Lucky me.

Samuel: Why didn't you come to me, son?

Dré: You lost Mom, and I bailed on you. I can't be the one who takes the campaign from you. I mean, Carl can work this, right? Salvage this? I'm sorry, Dad. I'm so sorry.

Samuel: Come here.

Ryan: Kendall, I know you have bigger things to worry about.

Kendall: Do you remember Annie's last big secret? His name was Richie Novak.

Ryan: Get away from Annie's things.

Kendall: No, no, no, I -- I own this building. It's mine. Palmer sold it to me for $1, ok? So I can do whatever I want. If I want to nose through other people's things, I can.

Ryan: No, no, no, no, no.

Kendall: Ryan, listen to me, listen. Maybe she's squirreling away trade secrets to betray the company that took her in as a favor.

Ryan: You kidding me? She started working here as a favor to you when everybody else was afraid to. I said -- I said no, no.

Kendall: Ryan, just because you are twisted up with your own guilt doesn't mean that you have to protect her.

Ryan: Annie is off-limits to you, ok? That includes her desk. Do you understand that?

Kendall: She has a secret, all right? She's keeping something. She's wigging out. She has this weird key and that's not going to change just because you have your own secret.

Greenlee: Oh, no, no. No more secrets. Spill. Come on. Get it over with now.

Jake: Draw me some gasses and I need a portable X-ray in number three. Annie?

EMT: Here's the notification.

Annie: Please, it's nothing, I'm fine.

EMT: She blacked out driving.

Jake: Vitals?

EMT: All normal, no dizziness, pain.

Zach: I called them just to be sure.

Annie: This is so embarrassing. I'm fine -- just please make sure my baby is ok?

Jake: You don't have to be embarrassed. Listen, I got this, I got this. Just tell me everything that you remember.

Annie: I fainted when I was driving. I woke up and my car had gone off the road and into a tree. It's so stupid. I -- I should have just listened to you, Zach, and gotten more rest.

Zach: She couldn't get Ryan, so she called me.

Annie: I passed out twice recently. You have to make sure my baby's ok, ok?

Jake: We're going to get you all checked out, you'll be fine. Let's see if you can find Ryan?

Zach: Sure.

Annie: Oh, God, Ryan -- if anything happens to this baby --

Greenlee: Secrets don't do anyone any favors. Come on, Ryan, we're all friends here.

Aidan: Hey, don't look at me. I'm staying out of it.

Ryan: Well, that's a very novel idea. I think you should spread that around, Aidan.

Kendall: So, why are you guys here?

Greenlee: Gas leak. While we were about to, you know --

Kendall: Ok, yeah, yeah, stop sharing, please.

Greenlee: Tense? Jeez, what were you two doing?

Ryan: Um, hey, Aidan, can I, for a second?

Aidan: Yeah, sure. What's up?

Ryan: I don't know exactly. I just, uh -- I found this key, uh, in a frame that Annie keeps here in the office.

Aidan: Any idea what it's for?

Ryan: Well, Kendall seems to think it's Annie's lover, the father of her child.

Aidan: Well, Kendall always likes to sugarcoat things, doesn't she? And your vote?

Ryan: I have no idea.

Aidan: Oh, it's probably nothing. I mean, I can look into it for you, if you want. It's your call.

Ryan: Do it.

Greenlee: Why are you here with Ryan?

Kendall: Why? You jealous?

Greenlee: Incredibly so. Aidan and I were about to make mad, passionate, crazy love and only stopped because it got so hot, we were going to set the house on fire. Yes, I'm jealous you were talking here with Ryan, sure. What were you two talking about?

Kendall: Like I said, you jealous?

Greenlee: Why do you keep doing that? Pretending that something's going on that isn't going on at all.

[Phone rings]

Kendall: Hi, honey.

Zach: Annie's in the hospital.

Kendall: Again? Is she ok?

Zach: She should be. Do you know where Ryan is?

Kendall: Uh, yeah, he's right here.

Zach: Really? Well, she tried to call him, she couldn't get him, she called me. She's shaken up, but I think she's going to be all right.

Kendall: Ok, well, he'll be right there. Uh, that was, uh -- that was Zach. It's, uh -- Annie needs you. She's at the hospital.

Ryan: What? What are you talking -- what happened?

Kendall: I -- I -- I don't know what happened. She's not hurt, but she's scared.

Ryan: Ok, all right, I'm out of here.

Kendall: Are we going, too?

Greenlee: We're not. You are.

Kendall: Right. I'll go to the hospital, ok. You sure you guys don't want to come? She could be having twins.

Aidan: Very nice.

Greenlee: Just go. But tell me everything.

Kendall: I will. Bye.

Aidan: Sure you don't want to go?

Greenlee: Hmm, they'll be ok without our help.

Aidan: You really believe that?

Greenlee: Yeah, I do.

Aidan: Wow, there's hope for you yet, Smythe.

Greenlee: Hmm.

Tad: So, Adam got rid of -- the vehicle's gone?

[Krystal sighs]

Krystal: Could you, um -- Tad, when I found out, it was already too late.

Tad: Colby told you. Before or after Adam told you?

Krystal: That's not the point.

Tad: Not now, it isn't. Right now, the only thing that's important is saving what's left of Colby's future and getting her home. After we get her home, you bet your ass it's going to be the point. You had a deal with Adam that excluded me. It's going to matter a whole lot. But for right now, ok, I agree, the kids are the only issue.

Samuel: I want you to understand something, son. Right now, what I'm concerned about is not the Senate. It's not the poll numbers. It's not what Carl thinks. It's you. You are my priority, ok? But you let me do what I do best. This whole case is purely circumstantial.

Dré: Dad, circumstantial evidence convicts just as much as physical.

Samuel: Look, it takes me two minutes to get this whole thing tossed, all right? Plus, you've been seeing the chief's daughter. That's a conflict of interest. He had no right questioning you.

Dré: Well, another detective questioned me.

Samuel: He still -- he put the order in to get you here, didn't he? Ok, you let me handle it.

Dré: Dad, why are you doing this?

Samuel: Because, Dré, I love you.

Dré: Look, you always told me to tell the truth before someone beats you to the punch, take control.

Samuel: What are you saying, son?

Dré: It was me, Dad, behind that wheel. I can't let the girls take the fall for me. I won't.

Jake: All your vitals seem like they're in the normal range. Let me ask you something, did you have any cramping or bleeding or pain at all?

Annie: No.

Jake: No? Good, that's the right answer. I want to keep you in for a little longer, make sure everything's ok with the fetus but everything seems fine.

Annie: Wait, um, Jake, I saw somewhere on the Internet that they'll do ultrasounds if there's any concern for the baby. I mean, even though it's early on, do you think we could --

Jake: You want me to do ultrasound? We can do ultrasound. We can do that, ok?

Annie: Please, but I want to wait until Ryan gets here. I want him to see what I see.

Ryan: Hey, where is she?

Zach: She's in there.

Ryan: In here? Hey. Hey, are you ok?

Annie: Yeah, I'm -- I'm so sorry, Ryan. The baby has to be ok. It has to be ok.

Kendall: Hey.

Zach: Hey.

Kendall: Is Ryan in here?

Zach: Leave them alone.

Kendall: I -- I wasn't going to go in. But, I don't know, maybe Ryan needs support.

Zach: Yeah? What about Annie? Maybe she needs support, too.

Kendall: You already told me she's ok.

Zach: You know all you need to know.

Kendall: Well, why did she call you? I don't know that.

Annie: Your cell was off. I couldn't reach you, so I called Zach.

Ryan: I'm not going to turn it off from now on, ok? I'm glad you called him.

Annie: I was so scared.

Kendall: Has she ever heard the numbers 911? This is her second time in the E.R. in how long? She should have her own cubicle.

Annie: I hate it here. I want to go home.

Jake: We are just about ready to do this ultrasound, ok?

Ryan: Do you want some juice or some water? Have you eaten anything?

Jake: That's good, Ryan. Can you stay on top of her to eat, please? Because it could be dangerous for both of them.

Annie: It's not his fault. He's -- he's had a lot to deal with lately.

Zach: Ryan is here with his wife, so I'd like to take my wife home.

Kendall: Yeah, that'll happen.

Zach: You can't just leave her alone. She's worried about her baby.

Kendall: You're right. I know how it feels to be afraid for your child. So, no matter how I feel about Annie or what she's doing to Ryan, she is a mother, scared for her baby.

Zach: There you go.

Kendall: But there's something more, Zach. I'm telling you. Annie has a secret, and it's not just that crazy, weird rage I was talking about. There's something more. There's something big and scary.

[Zach sighs]

Kendall: And we have no idea how many people that secret could hurt. Nothing Annie does sets off any alarm for you? I mean, for someone who didn't want to make a fuss, why did she call you?

Zach: She was in an accident, and I'm very reliable.

Kendall: Yes, you are.

Zach: Ugh.

Kendall: But remember when Annie used to get all pissed off and indignant when someone pitied her? Her thing was being perfect, not a flighty, needy woman dependant upon a man. Now her thing is, "Ooh, Ryan, please help me. Somebody -- anybody help me."

Zach: She hit a rough patch.

Kendall: Ok. You're saying all the good and decent things, but I'm not buying it.

Zach: Maybe that's because I'm neither good nor decent.

Kendall: Annie's hiding a key at the office. Did you know that?

Zach: How would I know that? How would you know that?

Kendall: I saw it. I found it. And that key is proof.

Zach: The key is proof of what?

Kendall: It's proof that she's completely lost her mind, and she's going over the edge.

Zach: You know who's going over the edge? You. What's this key for? You don't even know, do you?

Kendall: No, that key is her way of trying to hang on to Ryan.

Jake: Ok, should be able to see something in just a second.

Annie: Ooh.

[Annie giggles]

Jake: I'm sorry. Is that cold?

Annie: No, it's just nerves, I guess.

[Fetal heartbeat]

Annie: Can you see -- is -- is there --

Jake: There you have it.

Ryan: What?

Annie: What? What do you see?

Jake: I see a baby. I see your baby.

Ryan: There's the --

[Annie laughs]

Annie: That's our child, Ryan -- your baby.

[Annie laughs]

Greenlee: I'll just, uh, get my files together, and then we can crash at your office or get a room at the Yacht Club.

Aidan: I think your apartment would have aired out by now.

Greenlee: No, it's jinxed. Not interested. So, what were you and Ryan talking about? The case that he has you working on?

Aidan: Something different.

Greenlee: Two cases now?

Aidan: Possibly.

Greenlee: You're not giving me anything, are you?

Aidan: Apart from love --

[Greenlee giggles]

Aidan: Love and affection, some -- some room service. I mean, unless you want to chase everyone to the E.R.

Greenlee: Why do you keep saying that?

Aidan: Maybe because I know you.

Greenlee: And if I say, "Come on, Ryan needs me"?

Aidan: Uh, then we'd go.

Greenlee: No. We stay. It's time that we stay out of everyone's mess.

Aidan: But we just built a big house with room for half of Pine Valley.

Greenlee: Yeah. To visit, not to spend every waking minute with. You saved us from the gas leak, and I'm saving us from our dysfunctional family of friends.

Adam: You will go to college, take some classes, date some young men from the best families.

J.R.: Not have to deal with wardens or lockdowns.

Colby: I was behind the wheel of the car -- my car.

Adam: Colby, that is a lie.

Colby: I was driving back from the lodge.

Jesse: All right, enough. Out, both of you.

J.R.: We're not done.

Jesse: Actually, you are. Yeah.

Adam: No, Colby. You will not go down for that.

Tad: So, what's the deal? You going to help her out with some more stellar advice?

Adam: You have your daughters, Martin. This one's mine.

Tad: I know. Ok, I get it. I understand why you don't want me around your kids, but, Adam, your kid's future is at stake here -- her safety, ok? She needs you to get her out of the hole, not make it deeper.

Adam: She will walk out of there free. I guarantee it.

Tad: You are so sure you can manipulate the system.

Adam: Mm-hmm.

Tad: She's got a lot to lose. She's a child.

Adam: My child.

Tad: Yeah, your child. What's she going to owe you, huh? After all is said and done, what are you going to expect from her?

Adam: Her freedom. You don't -- you don't think I should try to save her, do you?

Tad: No. Go ahead. Do whatever you can.

Adam: I intend to.

Tad: Just keep in mind, all right, she's a kid. She's not something you can win or lose.

[Adam laughs]

Adam: Spoken like a natural-born loser.

Jesse: That's closed. File that upstairs for me.

Samuel: So, this is how you solve a case? Work a bunch of kids?

Jesse: Actually, Samuel, they're adults.

Samuel: And one of them is your stepdaughter?

Jesse: Well, we have my stepdaughter and your son in security photos at a gas station on the same road where Richie Novak was killed. We've got Colby Chandler's allegedly stolen car out front and, oh, let me tell you. They started talking after that one.

Samuel: What they're trying to do is create reasonable doubt. It's probably something they saw on TV.

Jesse: Yeah, well, I need the real story.

Samuel: Then put Dré back in the room with the girls.

Jesse: You kidding me? That's how I got "I did it," "No, I did it," and "No, I did it" in the first place.

Samuel: It's going to be -- it's going to be different this time, ok? Trust me. Put Dré in the room with the girls, and the truth is going to be what's left.

Jesse: Perry, would you grab the other two and put them back in the room with Colby Chandler, please? You sure about this? Your son is --

Samuel: He's sure. He's sure, and I'm behind him.

Colby: Nothing's changed.

Cassandra: Yeah, you can't keep asking --

Jesse: Relax. It was Dré's idea for this little pow-wow.

Dré: It's over. We're done with this lie.

Colby: There's no car. They can't do anything without the car.

Dré: They can do plenty. Jesse was reading us our rights.

Colby: He was bluffing to see if we'd break.

Cassandra: Yeah. Your dad didn't look mad. I mean, was he ok to you?

Dré: He believes in me -- knows I'm going to do what's right.

Colby: Whoa -- what do you mean, "What's right"?

Dré: Like I said, it's over. Now we -- I'm -- I'm going to tell the truth.

Cassandra: We agreed.

Colby: We're all in this.

Cassandra: But if we tell --

Dré: Look, I ran out on my dad so that he'd sic a P.I. on me. I ran out on you at your parents' wedding.

Cassandra: No, you didn't!

Colby: Bullets were flying. We all wanted to run.

Cassandra: Yeah.

Dré: I'm not running on this. I'm telling the truth, and you guys aren't going to fight me on it.

Cassandra: Dré -- I mean, I want to do what you want, but I can't.

Colby: Because it's betrayal. I see it all the time, and we won't do it.

Dré: Colby, Cass.

Cassandra: Look, if they know --

Dré: I'm going to be ok. Now, let me do this.

Jesse: All right. Whenever you're ready.

Colby: Uh, it started with me. I -- I took my car up to the lodge for my big 18th birthday. Um, it was just supposed to be us and Corrina.

Cassandra: But it was kind of boring until Dré and Ren showed up.

Dré: With the beer. I brought the beer.

Cassandra: Yeah, we all drank.

Colby: But I'm the only one that got plastered.

Cassandra: And she wanted to go home. We all did.

Dré: But I offered to drive.

Cassandra: Because I didn't want to drive.

Colby: That lunatic Richie Novak had kidnapped Babe, but we didn't know.

Dré: We took Route 77 just like you thought.

Colby: I don't remember everything, just that I needed -- I had to vomit.

Dré: Then we hit something.

Cassandra: It didn't feel like a person. It wasn't like he landed on the windshield like in the movies.

Dré: I had turned to Cass for just a second.

Cassandra: And he wanted to stop. He said it a couple times.

Colby: But I wanted for him to just get me home.

Cassandra: We heard what happened to Richie the next day.

Colby: Didn't make any sense to me. I had been so out of it.

Dré: But when I read that story, it all fit.

Cassandra: We didn't want to believe it, that we -- that Richie --

Colby: And some jerk found blood on the car.

Dré: Well, on the bumper.

Colby: And he tested it.

Cassandra: And before you ask, it was Pete Cortlandt, and he didn't have anything to do with anything.

Dré: He told us it was human blood.

Colby: And that's when we knew for sure.

Cassandra: We couldn't tell.

Colby: Daddy had just been in the tabloids, Chandler stock was down.

Dré: The campaign -- my dad deserves that seat in the Senate. He's the best for the job.

Cassandra: And chief of police and your marriage to your soul mate.

Angie: Sweetheart, you -- you went through all this because of us.

Tad: Because you wanted to protect everybody?

Dré: I'm the one who was driving -- me. I'm sorry.

Colby: The last thing we wanted to do was to take a life.

Cassandra: Or ruin other lives.

Dré: I'm the only reason that Richie Novak is dead.

[Ryan chuckles as he and Annie stare at the ultrasound picture of their baby]

Zach: What?

Kendall: Ryan's in love.

Zach: Ryan's in love? Well, what happened with Ryan in love with Greenlee and the thing --

Kendall: No, no, no. He's in love with the baby and luckily, Annie is along for the ride.

[Kendall sighs]

Kendall: Zach, I don't want to think like this. I want to just forget about the key and forget about my suspicions.

Zach: But you can't.

Kendall: No, I can't.

Zach: Neither can I.

Kendall: All right, ok. Well, I'll -- I will try to shut up, honestly I will.

Zach: What I'm saying is you're not the only one.

Ryan: Amazing. Just -- amazing.

Annie: I know.

Ryan: You rest, ok? I'm going to, um -- I'm going to go do something.

Annie: Ok. Come right back?

Ryan: Yeah, right back. Two seconds.

Annie: Ok.

Ryan: Ok.

[Takes out phone, dials his voicemail]

[Phone rings]

Annie's voice: Oh, God. Ryan, where are you? I need you to -- the baby needs you. Oh. Oh, God. Help me!

[Ryan hangs up]

[Ryan dials]

[Phone rings]

Aidan: Devane.

Ryan: Aidan, hey, it's Ryan.

Aidan: How's Annie?

Ryan: She's -- she's good. She's great. Um, and the baby's -- baby's ok. Listen, um, about the key.

Aidan: Yeah, I'm ready to look into it.

Ryan: Don't, actually. Uh, don't -- don't bother. Just do me a favor and would you put it back in the frame that's on Annie's desk? It's the only one there. Don't worry about the key. Forget about the clinic. None of that matters now.

Greenlee: Annie's ok?

Aidan: Yeah. She says she's ok and, um, so is the baby. But I just lost the case. Nothing but free time on my hands, and I don't know what I'm going to do with it.

Greenlee: Wine tasting through France?

Aidan: Or beer tasting through Germany.

Greenlee: Hmm, shopping.

Aidan: Skiing?

Greenlee: Making love.

Aidan: Making love a lot.

Greenlee: Mmm. We so think alike. I have an idea.

Aidan: What, someplace sexy, subdued, posh, elegant? I mean, come on. Hit me. I can deal with it.

Greenlee: Viva Las Vegas, baby.

Aidan: Oh, yeah.

Adam: Well, you all heard the young man. He accepts full responsibility.

Colby: Daddy, stop. He was protecting us.

Samuel: No. You all were protecting us.

Krystal: We were supposed to be looking after you, and we didn't, and I am so sorry.

Cassandra: No. Look, we made the mistake and we know it was us. We said terrible things, Mommy. I'm so sorry.

Angie: It's ok.

Tad: It was an accident, Cass. We all know that.

Jesse: You two ladies are free to go.

Cassandra: What about Dré?

Jesse: André Woods, you have the right to remain silent.

Cassandra: You can't do that!

Colby: Why did we even tell the truth?

Adam: So you wouldn't ruin your lives for no reason.

Jesse: If you need an attorney, one will be appointed for you free of charge.

Samuel: Jackson, it's Samuel Woods. I need you to get down to the police station as soon as possible. My son's been arrested.

[Phone beeps]

Samuel: I got a call on the other line. Yeah, Carl, what's up? Yeah, he just got arrested. Well, right now I don't give a damn about the campaign.

Adam: If it's all right for everyone else, I'd like to get my daughter the hell out of here.

Jesse: You're not going anywhere, Adam.

Adam: You said she was free to go.

Jesse: Well, she is free to go, but you are not. Adam Chandler, you are being charged with obstruction of the administration of the law, hindering of apprehension, false reporting to law enforcement, but the good news is you have the right to remain silent.
