Erica: Well, everyone's getting special privileges now.
Jack: So I understand very soon now, I won't have to pull any strings to get this close to you.
Erica: Samuel told you?
Jack: Yes, he did. Erica, you're getting released early. I mean, I -- I must tell you. I'm officially stunned.
Erica: The man is a miracle worker.
Jack: The man was the reason you were in here to start with. Let's not forget that. All right. To be honest, Sam and I have had our differences across the years, but, finally, he's doing the right thing in regard to this, and you deserve this break, Erica. You have done so much, so much, for the women in this prison.
Erica: Well, I -- I just -- I did what needed to be done. That's all. Jack, I can't wait to get out.
Jack: So why wait? What wait? They're letting you go now.
Jack: You heard me. Now. So pack your bags. I'll wait and drive you anywhere you want to go. How's that?
Ryan: Kendall told you everything?
Greenlee: Oh, yeah! You got it back! Finally. The old memory.
Kendall: You're in love with Greenlee.
Greenlee: Ryan? Hello?
Ryan: Wait. She -- she told you absolutely everything?
Greenlee: Yes. Everything, as in "everything." Why didn't you tell me?
Ryan: Because, Greenlee, I -- I -- I didn't think you wanted to go there.
Greenlee: Are you kidding? I'm thrilled.
Greenlee: Really. Really. God, I -- it's what I prayed for, because I love you so much, and -- ooh!
Ryan: Oh, God. Greenlee.
[Ryan sighs as he hugs her tightly]
Zach: I need a doctor.
Jake: What's happened? Hey. So what happened?
Zach: We were talking, and she collapsed.
Zach: I'll get him --
Jake: Annie, it's Jake. Do you remember me? I'm going to take good care of you. Can you put her in 3? Thank you.
Greenlee: Wow. You're really happy, too.
Ryan: Well, wait. What about Aidan?
Greenlee: What about him?
Ryan: Well, I mean, how did he react to everything?
Greenlee: He doesn't know yet.
Ryan: What? Greenlee, what are you talking about? You -- when are you going to tell him?
Greenlee: I -- I'll tell him. It'll be fine.
Ryan: But I thought you and Aidan --
Greenlee: Listen, let's not talk about Aidan. Let's talk about your memory. Kendall said that it -- it happened when you were saving me?
Ryan: Yeah, it did. You were, uh -- you were out cold, and I was -- I was racing out to come and see you.
Greenlee: So something good came out of that humiliating bonk to the head.
Ryan: Something "good"? Something amazing, Greenlee. You gave me my life back.
Greenlee: I -- I -- I think that's for you.
Greenlee: Your phone?
Ryan: Oh, yeah, right, sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hello?
Zach: Ryan, it's Zach. I need you to come down to the hospital.
Zach: Annie collapsed.
Tad: Hi -- new in town?
Jesse: How the hell did you get in here?
Tad: How do you think I got in? I broke in. Love the mug. Desk is nice, too.
Jesse: Yeah, could you get your big, funky feet off my desk, please?
Tad: Yeah! I'm serious. Place looks good. It's all you. Although I'm thinking you could use a couple of personal touches, like a nice 8 x 10 of me saluting the new chief. What do you think?
Jesse: Yeah, that's really funny. So what's up, kid?
Tad: Oh, just stopped by to make sure -- sure you're, you know, you're still an honest man. I also brought you a snack.
Tad: Dogs and swill, your favorite. Dig in.
Jesse: Oh, who loves you, baby?
Tad: You do.
Tad: Hey, I also bought you a present. A little office-warming gift. Huh? Huh? What do you think? The new chief of police has got to stay in shape.
Tad: God, don't they feed you in here?
Jesse: Mm. You know, I went home to have lunch with Angela, and I forgot to eat.
Tad: Aw, you crazy kid.
Jesse: Sort of.
Tad: Get started.
Jesse: Besides the delivery service, what else is up, kid?
Tad: What else -- what isn't up? I tell you, for a guy who just quit his job, my dance card is full.
Jesse: You're bored.
Tad: No. No, I'm serious. You know what I had to do today? Woke up, fed the kids -- nice. I'll get you a new coffee mug. Dressed the kids, took Kathy to camp, went to the toy store -- damn. Bought myself this little -- nice, little hoop for you and some little remote control boats for the kids. Ah, let's see, I went to the, uh, Yacht Club. I launched the boats in the pool, sank the boats in the pool -- yes. Brought you the dog --
Jesse: You going to eat this one?
Tad: No, knock yourself out. After this, I got to go back, pick up Kathy, apologize for sinking the boats, go back to the toy store, buy new boats --
Jesse: Well, you are so beyond bored.
Tad: It's killing me. Now it looks like I'm going to be hungry on top of everything else.
Jesse: You have too much time on your hands, Tad.
Jesse: Maybe your should rethink the, uh, hanging up the Sherlock Holmes hat, huh?
Tad: I made the right choice. All I got to do is get myself a new hobby. Or a new sport.
Jesse: Oh, well, it's not golfing.
Tad: What's wrong with golf?
Jesse: You're going to need a partner.
Tad: Exactly! Come on, man. We can have fun, chasing each other around in those little carts.
Jesse: Ah, yeah, no.
Tad: No. Huh. What's that? Novak pictures?
Tad: Tell you what. I'll make you a deal. I won't drag you out to the course and buy you one of those little plaid pants, if you tell me what you're thinking.
Jesse: Well, I'm thinking maybe it wasn't an accident. There's enough people out there that wanted that man dead.
Tad: Premeditated murder? Huh.
Pete: An investment banker walks into a bar. Bartender asks, "Why the long face?" Banker says he used to have a corner on the market, but, with the way things are going, he'll be lucky if he ends up with a market on the corner!
Palmer: That's a good one.
Pete: So it doesn't apply to you, huh, Dad?
Palmer: Oh, no, no. No, we're well ahead of the Dow Jones.
Pete: The only bull in a bear market! Cortlandt rocks!
Palmer: Well, it's good to have you home.
Pete: It's good to be back. I plan to stay for a while.
Palmer: Until you head off for Harvard.
Pete: That's what we need to talk about. Uh, it was an honor for me to be accepted by Harvard. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have the Cortlandt name. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I'm just not ready to go to college. I have so many interests. Not to brag, but I've aced so many subjects, I need time to really think about what it is I want to pursue. Before I take on Harvard. Six months. That's all. Maybe a year. Harvard will still be there, and Harvard will still want me.
Palmer: Oh, Lord.
Adam: How impressive. Um, so this is, uh, Pete, all grown up.
Pete: Good to see you, sir.
Adam: Yeah. It's been a while.
Pete: Oh, I was at prep school. Vandover.
Adam: Oh, it's a good school.
Pete: One of the top three in the country.
Palmer: Graduated first in his class.
Adam: Well, congratulations.
Palmer: Watch him. He's still one of the enemies.
Adam: And your father is still melodramatic. Welcome back to Pine Valley, Pete.
Jack: Are you ok?
Erica: Uh, yes. Just surprised, that's all. I mean -- I mean -- Samuel was just here to say that I was going to be released, but I had no idea that he meant today.
Jack: Well, evidently, he lit quite a fire under their butts. They're processing your release papers right now. As a matter of fact, you should be out of here within the hour.
Erica: It's really going to happen? I'm going to go to my cell, I'm going to pack up my things, I'm going to walk out of here, and -- and I'm going to get my life back?
Jack: Yes, you are. Listen, I called, uh, Bianca, Josh, Kendall. They're all ecstatic.
Erica: Oh, I'm going to get to go and see Ian and -- and Spike, and I can hug them, and I can kiss them, and I can tell them how much I've missed them.
Jack: I got to warn you, they've really grown, these boys.
Erica: And I can fly to Paris. I can visit Bianca and -- and Miranda.
Jack: Honey, you can do anything you want.
Erica: Anything. Oh, this is, uh, a little overwhelming.
Jack: Well, maybe the best idea, then, would be to kind of take it a step at a time.
Erica: Yeah, that's good advice.
[Erica clears her throat]
Jack: First step would be to let me know where I'm going to be driving you when you're out of here. Now, Kendall would love for you to stay with her. Or -- you can stay with me.
Jake: Well, now, wait, wait, wait, wait. Wait. You passed out, ok? So you need to take it easy.
Annie: I don't know why I passed out. I'm not sick.
Jake: Well, we're going to find that out. You up for answering a couple of questions? Good. Ok. Um, first question is, is there any chance that you could be pregnant? Annie?
Annie: No. No. There's no chance I could be pregnant. Um, that's not possible. Ryan had a vasectomy.
Tad: Cause of death, blunt head trauma. Could've been sustained when Novak fell upon impact.
Jesse: Yeah. Either that, or his head could've been bluntly impacted before the accident.
Tad: Good shot, chief.
Jesse: Hey, you know.
Tad: You might be on to something. There were no skid marks near the body.
Jesse: Yeah, well, the car didn't even try to avoid him.
Tad: Yeah. No position. Position and the injuries aren't necessarily consistent with a random hit-and-run.
Tad: Hmm. Keep practicing, baby. So Slater found the body?
Jesse: Yeah, but he swears he's innocent.
Tad: And what do you think?
Jesse: Well, the car he was driving was clean.
Tad: Yeah, but you brought him in anyway.
Jesse: How do you know that?
Tad: Kid, I'm retired. I'm not dead. I still got my gossip. Did Slater say anything?
Tad: So what now?
Jesse: I got a little something-something up my sleeve.
Tad: You're not going to tell me about it?
Jesse: I don't want to jinx it. Whoo! Did you see that? The man is on it. You know what? I'm going to win this one.
Jake: Ok, give me a deep breath, all the way in. Ok, last time. All the way in. Ok, I lied. One more time. Ok. Let me ask you something, Annie. Did you have, uh, any nausea, or were you dizzy before you fainted?
Jake: Hmm. Any double vision?
Jake: Are you on any medication?
Annie: Um, just an inhaler, but I haven't used it in weeks.
Jake: Hmm. Ok. Have you, um, have you eaten anything today?
Annie: I had tea for breakfast.
Jake: What, are you on a diet?
Annie: I haven't been very hungry lately.
Jake: Did you see or hear anything before you fainted that -- that might have upset you?
Zach: He was blackmailing you, wasn't he? So what was it? What did he have over you?
Richie: I am never going away. I'm always one --
[Annie yells as she hits Richie over the head and he falls]
Annie: Um, I was with Zach. I don't even remember what we were talking about.
Jake: Mm-hmm. Were you injured lately, or, you know, were you hospitalized for anything in the last couple of months?
Annie: It wasn't anything.
Jake: What was it?
Annie: Um, well, my bother hit me over the head, and I -- I passed out.
Jake: When did this happen?
Annie: Angie -- Dr. Hubbard. She checked me out.
Jake: Did -- did she do an MRI?
Annie: No, I didn't want to come to the hospital.
Jake: Well, I'd like to do an MRI. I'd like to see if you have a concussion or -- ok?
Annie: Ok. You think that's why I might've passed out again?
Jake: That's possible. And, um, I'm sorry about your brother.
Annie: So am I.
Ryan: Hey, Zach.
Ryan: Hey, where's Annie?
Zach: Cubicle 3, Jake.
Ryan: Ok, thanks.
Greenlee: What's going on?
Zach: Annie collapsed.
Greenlee: Well, she's been under a lot of stress. But Ryan's here now. He'll make her feel better. What?
Zach: Nothing, you just sound like you really cared about her.
Greenlee: Why wouldn't I?
Zach: I don't know. I mean, Kendall said that, uh, you and her were done with Annie.
Greenlee: Yeah, I did kind of toss her aside after she broke into my apartment and bitched to me about Ryan, but that's old news. I'm over that. I'm over everything.
Zach: Mm-hmm, ok. Just, uh, just like that?
Greenlee: Just like that.
Greenlee: You want to know what else?
Greenlee: I made up with Aidan.
Greenlee: Yeah. I forgave him because I love him. I'm following your lead. Say you're happy for me.
Zach: Say I'm happy for you. Hey -- you want me to be happy, I'm happy. If you're happy --
Greenlee: And that's -- what an overwhelming response.
Zach: Well, it's an honest one.
Greenlee: I forgave your wife, too, by the way.
Zach: Wow, you're full of surprises today.
Greenlee: Yeah, well, my news is nothing compared to Ryan's. Did Annie tell you?
Zach: Yes, total recall.
Greenlee: Yeah, yeah, and do you know what he said?
Greenlee: He said that he's got his life back. Which means that he's back in love with Annie again.
Zach: Well, good news.
Greenlee: Yeah, get her out of her funk. Help her put the whole Richie mess behind her, so they can have their life back together again.
Jake: All right. Your blood is fine. Your lungs are clear. Your heart's stable. I want to take some blood, ok, and see to the MRI.
Annie: I -- I could have a concussion from when Richie hit me.
Jake: Just, uh, keep her calm, and I'll be back.
Ryan: Oh, all right. Wow. You're going to be ok.
Annie: Yeah. Now that you're here. I'm so sorry, Ryan.
Ryan: For what?
Annie: For -- for this. For Richie. You just got your memory back. We should be celebrating. This should be a wonderful time for you and for us. But I promise you, whatever's wrong with me, I'm going to get over it, and we are going to move on to the good stuff. You and me and Emma and Spike. We're just -- we're going to start over.
Ryan: Why were you with Zach?
Jack: Hey, you. I'm not making a move on you here. I'm inviting you into my home as my very dear friend. You know, with Reggie and Sean and Lily gone, there's just all kinds of room.
Erica: Oh, I know. I used to live there, remember?
Erica: Look, it's -- it's very sweet of you to offer. It really is. I just think I need some time alone right now for a while.
Jack: I understand.
Erica: Actually, I don't think I want to go back to the Valley Inn, either. I -- I really feel like I would love to have something more permanent.
Jack: Well, maybe you want to build Linden House II.
Erica: I don't know, I don't know. But, in the meantime, I think maybe I'll stay at the -- at the Yacht Club.
Jack: Well, we certainly made some fond memories at the Yacht Club, did we not? I called Val. Had him pack a couple of suitcases for you.
Erica: Oh, that's right. I get to wear dresses again! And pretty shoes.
Jack: Yeah, and sleep in a real bed tonight, huh?
Erica: Yeah, and no more cots, no more cells.
Jack: No more guards.
Erica: No more laundry duty, and no more supervised showers, and no more 5:00 a.m. wake-up calls, and no more Sable.
Jack: Who's Sable?
Erica: Oh, oh. She's a new inmate. She's delusional. She threatened me.
Jack: She threatened you? Why?
Erica: I have no idea. But I handled her, and, anyway, I won't miss her, but I certainly, certainly will miss all the friends I made here.
Woman: We will miss you, Erica!
Erica: Look at you! Oh, my goodness.
Adam: No, I think you should take a year off. With your talent and your ability, I think you should consider all the possibilities.
Palmer: Uh, that will do, that will do.
Adam: I think, uh, we need another drink. Um, would you help me with the bar?
Palmer: Peter. Don't trust one word that comes out of that snake's mouth.
Palmer: I have to take this call. It's from Hong Kong.
Pete: It's ok, Dad. Take the call. I'll be fine.
Adam: See you around, Palmer.
Palmer: Palmer Cortlandt?
Pete: Chandler Enterprises has had a very good year.
Adam: Oh, yes, yes. It certainly has. We'd like another round at the table, uh, Scotch, neat, for me.
Pete: Your biotech, uh, division really scored with that bioengineered rice. It should really have an impact on --
Adam: Yeah, I don't really want to talk about the rice, and I don't want to be brownnosed.
Pete: I wasn't brownnosing.
Adam: No. There is something I want to discuss.
Adam: The crime you committed at your old alma mater.
Pete: I don't know what you're talking about.
Adam: I'm talking about the rape.
Jesse: Absolutely. I'll let you know as soon as we get a break in the case, Mayor Bartlett. All right, thank you. Thank you. How do I get rid of you, Tad?
Tad: Give up your secret lead in the Novak case.
Jesse: Yeah, it's not going to happen.
Tad: I didn't think so. You know what? I'm going to go out and invest in a couple of matching golf outfits.
Jesse: Hmm. Tad.
Tad: Don't worry. No plaid. How do you feel about lime green?
Jesse: Hey, hey, stop, stop. You think I'm doing the right thing, digging this deep into Novak's case?
Tad: What do you mean, "doing the right thing"? It's your job.
Jesse: He did a lot of damage, hurt a lot of people, man.
Tad: Well, true.
Jesse: And there are a lot of people out there that think that he got what he deserved, nobody should be punished for it.
Jesse: If this guy's death was premeditated, that's murder, which means it's my job to find out who did it. I mean, we've got a system here. We need to adhere to that system. Otherwise, we leave the door wide open for thugs like Papel. People like that, man, they just -- they laugh at the laws and ignore the system. They tear people's lives apart! That's not happening on my watch.
Tad: Jesse. Admit it. It's in your blood. I know you. I support you. Do what you have to do. What's up?
Officer: Chief, Forensics just sent that over.
Jesse: Ah. These are the results I've been waiting for.
Tad: Something Novaky?
Jesse: This is good.
Annie: Zach brought me to the hospital.
Ryan: Why were you with him in the first place?
Annie: What does it matter?
Ryan: I'm just trying to understand.
Annie: There's nothing to understand, Ryan. I -- I bumped into Zach. He's a friend. It's no big deal.
Ryan: Right. Uh, let's just go back for a second. When we were -- when we were at home, um, we were together, you know? And, then, the phone rang, and, uh, you said it was the office, and then you took off.
Annie: I know.
Ryan: And then you ended up with Zach. So I guess it just leaves me wondering was it actually Zach who was on the phone?
Annie: Yeah, I'm -- but he just -- he was just concerned, so he -- he called to see how I was doing.
Ryan: And why didn't you tell me that?
Annie: I -- I my head is really fuzzy, Ryan. I don't -- I don't remember.
Jake: Hello. I am accepting donations. Annie, I'll start with you.
Jake: Are you ready?
Ryan: I'll wait outside.
Jake: No, you can stay here if you want to. He's got a problem with blood, doesn't he? Hmm? How about you?
Richie: Always one --
[Annie screams as she recalls hitting Richie again]
Jake: This is going to sting a little bit.
Zach: How's Annie?
Ryan: She's, uh, well, she seems fine. Jake's running some tests.
Greenlee: She's tough. She'll shake off whatever it is.
Ryan: Hey, uh, Greenlee, I need to talk to Zach for a second. Do you mind?
Greenlee: Ok. I'm gone.
Ryan: Ok, thanks. Why did you meet with Annie?
Zach: I wanted to talk to her about Richie.
Ryan: Really? So then, why the secrecy?
Zach: You could've come.
Ryan: I don't think she wanted me to. I don't think she wanted me to know that she was meeting with you. Do you have any idea why that would be?
Zach: You'd have to ask her.
Ryan: I did. She claims that she doesn't remember.
Zach: And you don't believe her?
Ryan: No, I don't, so I'm asking you.
Zach: Annie's got secrets -- with her and Richie.
Jake: Wasn't so bad, right? Ok, I'm going to put a rush on these tests and see if we can't play cutsies with the MRI line. All right?
Annie: Thanks Jake.
Greenlee: Well, hey. You're walking again. That's a good sign.
Annie: What do you want?
Greenlee: Uh, I just wanted to see how you were doing.
Annie: How did you know I was in the hospital?
Greenlee: I was with Ryan when Zach called.
Annie: What were you doing with Ryan?
Greenlee: Oh, Annie, just don't. Ok?
Annie: No. It's not ok, Greenlee, because every time I turn my back, you're going after my husband.
Greenlee: Please. Let's not do this again.
Annie: Ryan belongs with me, ok? Not you, me.
Greenlee: I know that. Annie, you don't have to be afraid anymore that Ryan doesn't remember loving you.
Annie: He told you that?
Greenlee: Well, yeah.
Annie: I don't want you talking to Ryan about me!
Greenlee: Chill out.
Annie: No, because then you're just going to turn him against me, Greenlee!
Greenlee: No, I'm not!
Annie: Stop chasing him, ok? If you don't stop, I will stop you!
[Greenlee grunts as Annie grabs her hair]
Greenlee: Let -- let go of me.
Annie: Ryan doesn't love you. He loves me. Whoa. Oh. Ah.
Greenlee: God. Why am I helping you?
[Annie grunts as she loses her balance]
Ryan: So Annie is keeping secrets?
Zach: Ah. Did you notice she hasn't been wearing her wedding ring?
Ryan: Yeah, she hasn't worn that for a while now.
Zach: Well, she pawned it. Gave the money to Richie.
Ryan: For bail?
Zach: For bail. Well, she has a lot of guilt, you know, about Richie, what happened to him, what happened to me, Greenlee, Junior, and she wanted him gone, away from you and the people she cares about.
Ryan: Do you have any idea why she didn't want to talk to me about this?
Zach: She just didn't want to involve you anymore. It would bring you -- at risk. So she sold her ring for bail and to give him more money, and, apparently, even after that, he wanted more.
Ryan: But she wouldn't give it to him?
Zach: That's what she told me.
Ryan: Which is when he knocked her out, and he ran.
Zach: That's what she told me.
Ryan: I knew something wasn't -- wasn't right about this.
Zach: She also said she's afraid that you might be angry with her.
Ryan: Well, I'm not thrilled that she didn't talk to me about this, but I get it. I mean, I've been there. I've tried to do damage control for my brothers, so I -- I do get it.
Zach: You should tell her that.
Greenlee: I'll sing it again. Ryan's a friend. That's all.
Annie: Stay away from him.
Greenlee: Listen to me. I'm back with Aidan, so Ryan is all yours.
Annie: You're serious?
Greenlee: Yes! Aidan and I are back together again. We're happy. All is forgiven. I've been forgiving everyone, you included, and, until now, I thought you were just stressed out, but, obviously, you've got a little Richie in you.
Annie: Get out.
Greenlee: Be well.
Jake: Hey, roomie. How are you feeling?
Greenlee: Boating accidents are fun compared to this little visit. Keep her away from sharp instruments.
Annie: Greenlee and I have some issues.
Jake: Hmm, I kind of figured that. Well, I worked my magic, and I, uh, I have the results to a certain test.
Jake: You're not going to need an MRI.
Pete: Sir, I didn't rape anyone.
Adam: Oh, oh, yes, you did.
Pete: I don't know where you got your information.
Adam: Shut up and listen, Cortlandt. If I say you committed rape, then that's a done deal. A done deal. All I have to do is find a -- a girl at that fine little, uh, prep school of yours, and, uh, somebody who's on scholarship, possibly, uh, maybe needs a few thousand, and, uh, whenever I give the word, she'll cry "Rape."
Pete: Why -- why would you do that to me?
Adam: Oh, come on, come on. Don't play dumb. You've got brains, which is surprising, considering you're the mutt spawn of Pete Cooney and Opal.
Pete: Wh -- why -- I don't know why you would want to frame me.
Adam: You know my daughter's car was involved in an accident recently. And there might have been a casualty of that accident to one, uh, maniac Novak.
Adam: Yes. The world's better off without him. But, uh, that's not the issue. The car and the driver left the scene. That's a crime.
Pete: I know that.
Adam: No. No, no. You forget that. You're going to forget all about it. You understand, from this moment on, you've forgotten everything about the car, the scene, the accident, my daughter, all of it. And if you don't forget, this fall, you're going to be a freshman in a state penitentiary. Ah. Good chatting with you, kid.
Erica: "Free at last. Slam them with your glam, Kane dame. Hugs, kisses, and knuckle-slams. Faye." Oh, Faye! Thank u! All of you.
Sue: Well, we're not done yet.
Faye: We have presents.
Sue: Oh, me first, ok? You worked it so that I could see my little girl, and, now, when she comes, she draws me pictures. This is her latest masterpiece.
Sue: I want you to have it.
Erica: But she made this for you.
Sue: She brings me a bunch of them every time she comes, twice a month.
Sue: I have my little girl back because of you. Please, take it.
Erica: Thank you.
Faye: My turn. I decided, got permission from the warden to make it, and a bunch of the girls pitched in and helped Rochelle sew it up.
Erica: Oh! Ok. Ah!
Erica: It's beautiful!
Rosalie: Read the label.
Erica: "Felony Fashions."
Sue: Ok, it's time for the cellie award. For the most fabulous cell-block babe, I made this in crafts class.
Rosalie: And the winner is --
Faye: Envelope, please. Erica Kane.
Erica: Thank you.
Sue: Speech! Come on, speech!
Erica: Thank you. I -- I -- each and every one of you, thank you, all. I an, every single one of you in this room is so talented and -- and so hardworking, and I -- I just want you to know that your friendship is something that I will treasure always.
Jesse: Forensics, they were able to lift tire tracks from Richie's clothes.
Tad: Tire tracks? So he wasn't just hit.
Jesse: He was run over.
Jesse: And that's not all.
Tad: [Giggling] What? Tell me, tell me.
Jesse: They identified a rare type of tire, made for a really expensive car, one of which was bought right here in la valley de pina.
Tad: Anybody we know?
Tad: Oh, you've got to be kidding me.
Jesse: Adam Chandler.
Adam: Jesse. What brings you here? Can I offer you a drink?
Jesse: I'm on duty, dude.
Adam: Oh, right. Well, uh, what can I do for you?
Jesse: You can answer a question for me.
Adam: All right. What is it?
Jesse: How did your new car manage to mow down Richie Novak?
Zach: Kendall, hey. Uh, I had to bring Annie to the ER.
Greenlee: Just visited your lovely wife.
Ryan: Hmm. I should probably go back in.
Greenlee: Hold on, Ryan. We need to talk. What are you going to do about Annie?
Jake: Hey, Ryan.
Jake: Uh, well, I'm going to be discharging Annie.
Ryan: So she's ok?
Jake: I'll let her explain.
Greenlee: Go. Go, go. We can -- we can talk later.
[Annie is sniffling and crying]
Erica: I'll be back. I mean, I'll visit.
Faye: And you'll send care packages?
Erica: Of course.
Rosalie: Will you write?
Sue: Oh, because we like letters.
Erica: Oh, you'll get letters.
Faye: And care packages.
Erica: Oh, yes! Why don't you all help me pack?
Sue: Ok, let's get it on so that she can get out of here!
Erica: Thank you.
Jack: Well, clearly, you will be missed around here. I'm going to go check on you release papers.
Erica: I, uh, I was flustered before when you told me that I was going to be released.
Jack: Yeah, so I noticed.
Erica: I wasn't clear.
Jack: About what?
Erica: About needing time alone. I only meant just for a while, you know, just till I adjust.
Jack: I get that.
Erica: I'm not trying to push you away.
Jack: I understand, really. No explanation needed.
Erica: Before I go back to my Yacht-Club suite, I -- I would love to grab a bite to eat.
Jack: Now you're talking, sister. Do you have a restaurant in mind?
Erica: Anyplace that doesn't have creamed corn and mystery meat?
Jack: I think I know a couple of places like that you might just love.
Jack: Good. Why don't you get your things? I'll be right back.
Erica: [Whispering] Ok.
Jack: Ok. Please?
Sable: I hear you're leaving us.
Erica: Yes, I am. You really need to get out of my way.
Sable: Not until I give you my good-bye present.
Erica: I don't want anything from you. I just want you to move.
Sable: Not moving.
Erica: Guard? Hey!
Sable: For the woman who has everything. Like I said, you're not going anywhere, bitch!
[Sable grabs Erica in a stranglehold and holds up a knife]
Adam: What kind of idiocy is this, Hubbard?
Jesse: It's the Forensics-report idiocy. The late Mr. Novak's clothing was sporting a monogram from your tire treads. Just a little curious as to how something like that could've happened.
Adam: My car and that criminal, and you have the nerve to ask me how?
Jesse: Obviously, I do. How?
Adam: I reported that car stolen, and nobody gave a damn. And then, suddenly, it was involved in a hit-and-run. Now, what kind of idiocy is this, Hubbard? Hmm?
Zach: Hey. What did Jake say about the test results?
Greenlee: Nothing. Just that he's discharging her. Which means that she must be ok, except for the fact that she's totally insane.
Zach: What happened? I thought she was on your forgiven list.
Greenlee: Yeah, until she just ripped into me right now for talking to Ryan. She threatened me. Don't look at me like I'm exaggerating. You weren't there, Zach.
Ryan: Hey. Jake told me that you could be released. So -- so what's wrong?
Annie: Nothing's wrong. Everything's right. I'm crying because I'm happy. Ryan, it's a miracle.
Ryan: What is?
Annie: I'm pregnant.
