Erica: We have to do something. We have to get out of here. Guard? Guard!
Samuel: Hey, Erica. We're on lockdown. It's not going to do any good.
Samuel: Listen. We're on lockdown, all right? It means no one gets in, no one gets out. The guards know we're here. No need to panic. Erica? You all right?
Greenlee: Zach's out. It doesn't mean that he's doing anything crazy about Richie. He's probably on that run or getting that midnight --
Amanda: Who screamed?
Greenlee: I did.
Amanda: Why'd you scream?
Angie: Welcome to your station, Chief Hubbard.
Jesse: Hey, gorgeous.
Jesse: Well, the mayor doesn't make it official until next week, but, uh, I figured I'd come down, you know, familiarize, recognize --
Angie: Mm-hmm. I understand.
Jesse: Yeah, you do, don't you? You really do. I love you for that.
Angie: [Whispering] I love you, too.
Lt. Perry: There he is. Hello, Angie.
Angie: Lieutenant Perry.
Lt. Perry: Jesse, when we got the word that you were taking over, me, the guys, we -- we couldn't be happier.
Jesse: Thanks, man. The word is that you've been doing a great job, holding down the fort since Derek left. So, what's all the buzz, man?
Lt. Perry: Ah, Richie Novak. He went M.I.A.
Jesse: Yeah, I heard he made bail, but he's wearing an ankle bracelet.
Ryan: Not anymore.
Kendall: Where is the fuse box?
Kendall: Are you ok?
Greenlee: Just get the lights.
Amanda: This is freaking me out.
Kendall: Ok. I got it. I got it, I got it.
Amanda: Hey. This is really bizarre.
Kendall: What happened?
Amanda: What does it look like? She fell.
Greenlee: No, someone pushed me.
Amanda: Hey, where's Babe?
Adam: Oh, J.R. Here, pour yourself a club soda and join me.
J.R.: Sure. Hey, what should we fight about today, Dad? Uh, wait, wait. Here's an idea. Babe?
Adam: What about her?
J.R.: She's moving back in.
Adam: Over my dead body?
J.R.: Oh. Don't tempt me.
Kendall: Babe! Amanda, can you check the lounge?
Kendall: Thanks. Ok, who pushed you?
Greenlee: I don't know, but it hurt.
Kendall: Well, was it a man, a woman?
Greenlee: Kendall, it was dark.
Amanda: You guys, Babe is gone.
Kendall: I'm calling the police.
Greenlee: Wait. Wait, wait -- the elevator. Someone's coming up.
Amanda: That's impossible. It's locked.
Greenlee: Shh. Listen.
Jesse: So, Richie, your brother, knocked you in the head and took off?
Annie: I shouldn't have gone to his motel room.
Ryan: It's not your fault, Annie.
Angie: No, it's the judge's for letting your brother out of jail.
Annie: Well, I thought that I could convince Richie to plead guilty. And then I got there, and he started yelling and yelling. And he -- ah.
Ryan: You ok?
Annie: Yeah, I'm fine.
Angie: Have a look. Ok, that's a pretty nice bump you have there. You want to go to the hospital? I can check it out.
Annie: No, thank you, Angie, but I'm fine, really.
Angie: You might have a concussion.
Annie: Don't worry about me. Just find my brother before he hurts somebody else.
Kendall: Oh, my God.
Ryan: Hey. Hey, it's all right. You're just going to give your statement, and as soon as we're done we'll go straight home, ok?
Jesse: So, we got an APB out on Novak?
Lt. Perry: Yes, sir.
Jesse: Airports, train stations, bus stations?
Lt. Perry: All on high alert.
Lt. Perry: On every route into and out of Pine Valley.
Jesse: I know you've searched the man's room, right?
Lt. Perry: It's clean. We talked to the managers, guests. We're checking every gas station, diner, and motel in the area.
Lt. Perry: Nothing. There's no sign of Novak anywhere.
Kendall: Oh, my God. Zach, thank God.
Greenlee: I'm so glad it's you.
Amanda: And not some ax murderer.
Zach: Anyone want to fill me in? What's going on?
Kendall: Ok, we were working --
Greenlee: The lights went out.
Amanda: Everyone started freaking.
Greenlee: Someone pushed me --
Kendall: Yeah, and then we get the lights back on, and Greenlee's on her butt, and Babe is missing.
Zach: What do you mean, she's "missing"?
Amanda: She was here, now she's not.
Greenlee: Someone must have taken her -- kidnapped her or something.
J.R.: Richie Novak is out there. I have to protect my family.
Adam: Was that how you lured her back in here? Made her fear for her life?
J.R.: You still don't know Babe, do you? She doesn't run scared from anything.
Adam: Ah. Well, it won't work, you know. She won't stay. She never does.
J.R.: This time, she will.
J.R.: Oh, well, just in time, buddy!
Krystal: Oh, he cannot get enough of Wall-e the robot. Hi, Adam.
Adam: Krystal, can I make you a drink?
Krystal: Oh, I, um -- I have to get back home. Babe just wanted me to pick up Little A from Winifred and drop him off here.
J.R.: Oh, that Mommy has to work late, but she'll be here just as soon as you wake up.
Greenlee: I can't believe it. Richie broke in here?
Kendall: Yeah, well, now he has Babe, so we have to do something.
Zach: Call the police.
Amanda: I'm on it.
Greenlee: What do you think he's going to do to her?
Zach: I'm going to check the rest of the building. Wait here for the cops.
Kendall: No, Zach, Zach. You -- you cannot go alone. You can't. You can't. Please.
Zach: It's fine. I used the key to use the elevator, and the back door was locked, so he had to come in through the roof.
Greenlee: That makes sense. The fuse box is right next to the roof stairs.
Kendall: No -- he probably took Babe and dragged her down the stairwell.
Kendall: Just be careful.
Zach: All right.
Jesse: Yeah, Babe?
Angie: Darling, listen. I -- I know that you feel that you should be here. But you haven't even been sworn in yet.
Ofc. Grady: Yes, sir?
Jesse: Can you get the mayor on the phone? I'm going to take that oath tonight.
Ofc. Grady: You got it, Chief.
Annie's voice: Ok, I have held my part of the bargain. Now, you have to hold yours.
Richie: Thanks for the traveling cash.
Annie: And you won't forget what else you have to do?
Richie: Hmm. Greenlee, out of your life.
Annie: She's working at Fusion tonight.
Richie: Yes, yes, yes. I'll take care of her for you. Cross my heart and hope to die.
Ryan: Here you go. Babe, I wish that I could have been there to stop him.
Jesse: It shouldn't be much longer, all right?
Lt. Perry: Novak hit Fusion. He kidnapped a woman.
Annie: Oh, my God. Greenlee.
Samuel: Listen, lockdown is just a procedure they use when there's been a security breach.
Erica: I've been in prison a while now, Sam. I know the drill. We're stuck in here because there's been some sort of an incident. They had to lock down the entire facility, because they have security issues. And when they have the problem solved, I know they're going to let us out.
Samuel: I never should have brought you here.
Erica: Oh, no. I wanted to come here. I came here voluntarily. I wanted you to see what it was like.
Samuel: Well, I think I get it.
Erica: Rats in a cage, Samuel. And for very, very little infractions. I mean, it's medieval. It's completely medieval. And no one, none of these women, deserve to be locked up in here like this. I mean, for -- for anything.
Samuel: You really care about these ladies, huh?
Erica: Well, I have you to thank for that.
Samuel: How so?
Erica: Well, if you hadn't arrested me, I never would have known how truly barbaric the prison system is.
Samuel: Well, I'm glad you're ok. And you've been one hell of a student.
Erica: Look, these women have suffered terribly. I've heard their stories. If they can survive that, I can certainly survive this.
Erica: You didn't know about any of this, did you, Sam?
Samuel: My job was to arrest, prosecute, and convict. But I got to say from the outset, not all your friends are innocent, Erica.
Erica: I'm not saying that they are. But they're all human beings, Sam. I mean, take Rosalie, for example. She -- she's two cells down from me. She told me about her mother, and how dedicated, how loving her mother was. And when Rosalie got sent away to prison, it broke her mother's heart. And, in fact, she got very ill. And, one day, Rosalie was in her cell, and a guard came and left a message for Rosalie. That her mother was dead. And Rosalie was not allowed to attend the funeral. Rosalie never got to say goodbye to her mother.
Samuel: That is very, very unfortunate, and I --
Erica: No, it is cruel, Sam. And then there's Faye. Faye was in another facility, one with male guards. And one of those guards ordered Faye to meet him in this -- this deserted area of the prison where he -- ok, that went on for two years, until Faye was transferred here.
Samuel: There are abuses. There are a lot of abuses. And I'm trying to investigate and do what I can. But I still believe --
Erica: Well, oh, yeah. Please don't tell me. You think that this is, um, "the system is not perfect." Yeah. Aren't you a little tired of saying that?
Samuel: Yes. I get tired of saying that. Bit I believe that we have one of the best systems in the world. I do. It's not perfect.
Erica: I'll write that down, Senator.
Samuel: Erica, you've opened my eyes a lot, too.
Erica: I remember the first day I came here, I had a whole plan worked out.
Samuel: What were you going to do? Get back at me for locking you up?
Erica: Oh, yeah. That, too. I mean, I had a -- I had a plan that was going to help me get through the six months I was going to be here. I was going to be pleasant, but at a distance.
Samuel: And, given your status, I think that's a smart strategy.
Erica: Well, despite what I said on my show the other day, the truth is, when I first came here, I thought my fame did make me above all the other inmates. But I soon found out that I am no different than Rosalie, or Faye, or any of the other women in here --
Samuel: No, no, no, no. Let -- let's -- let's be honest. Let's be honest. In a lot of ways, you are fundamentally different. You are.
Erica: Look, I know -- I know very well that some of the women in here do not regret what they did. They don't regret their crimes. And they're probably going to go out there and -- and break the law again. All I'm saying is that they're human beings. And everyone in here has made mistakes. And everyone has demons to fight.
Kendall: Amanda, can you, uh, find a picture of Babe? I think the cops are going to need it.
Greenlee: When the lights went out, and I got my feet knocked out from under me, it reminded me of that night that Zach and I fell into that bomb shelter.
Kendall: Must have been so scary for you.
Greenlee: You have no idea.
Kendall: Don't -- don't do this, Greenlee. Don't go there now.
Greenlee: I'm always there, Kendall. Some part of me, anyway.
Kendall: Well, I'm sure it's hard. But you --
Greenlee: You weren't there. Freezing, starving, waiting to die. Don't touch me.
Lt. Perry: Squad cars are on their way.
Annie: Richie took Babe?
Jesse: Mayor Bartlett, thanks for coming on such short notice.
Mayor Bartlett: Jesse, I'm glad you've accepted the job, but what's the urgency?
Jesse: Well, I can't take over the Novak case until I'm sworn in, so --
Mayor Bartlett: Then, let's do it.
Jesse: Let's do this Mrs. Chief.
Annie: I -- I -- how -- how could Richie do this? How could he take Babe?
Ryan: Well, I -- I'm sure Babe is going to be all right, Annie.
Annie: No, this isn't right, Ryan.
Ryan: Richie has done a lot of cry stuff to be with Babe.
Annie: I know that.
Ryan: So, then, why would you think he took Greenlee?
Jesse: With all due respect, sir, could we skip the intro? Cut to the chase?
Mayor Bartlett: Certainly.
Mayor Bartlett: Raise your right hand. Do you, Jesse Hubbard, solemnly swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the charter of the city of Pine Valley, and the laws thereof? And that you will, to the best of your ability, faithfully perform the duties of the chief of police of the city of Pine Valley?
Jesse: I do.
Mayor Bartlett: Congratulations, Chief Hubbard.
Annie: I just assumed that Richie took Greenlee, because Greenlee is the one that he -- he trapped in the bomb shelter.
Ryan: Yeah, but if Richie's worried about testimony, then why wouldn't he go after the prostitute that -- that -- that ratted him out to begin with?
Annie: I don't know. I -- I don't know, Ryan. My brother is sick. He's a selfish, disgusting liar who ruins people's lives for no reason.
Ryan: But why Greenlee?
Annie: Oh, my God -- Emma. What if he goes after --
Ryan: Emma's ok. Emma's ok. It's all right. I just talked to Tad, all right? And he -- Richie would have no idea that Emma spent the night. So, she's fine.
Annie: Thank God.
Ryan: She's fine.
Annie: I just -- I want this over, Ryan. I want Richie gone.
Ryan: He's going to be gone. He's going to be gone. He's going to be in prison, hopefully for the rest of his life.
Annie: Yeah, but he shouldn't get a life. He had a terminal diagnosis, and then he stole J.R.'s bone marrow, and had a second shot at a life that he didn't deserve. Richie should have gotten what he deserved back then. I wish he would --
Erica: My demons and I had quite a battle while I was in here.
Samuel: And you fought back, and you won.
Erica: Well, it wasn't easy.
Samuel: I know.
Erica: And I would never have gotten out of here if it wasn't for you talking to the warden.
Samuel: No. Carmen deserves some credit. Jackson deserves some credit.
Erica: Well, but when that door opened, it was you who was standing there.
Samuel: I -- I was just glad to see you were ok.
Erica: I was wrong about you, Sam. I accused you of making empty promises, but I was wrong. I accused you of being all talk and no action. But you do act. You're here. And you care. And I am grateful.
Samuel: And you're not the only one with demons.
Greenlee: And so we figure that Richie took Babe through the stairwell.
Kendall: Yeah, uh, my husband went to go look for them -- actually, there he is. Anything?
Zach: No sign of Babe or Richie.
Amanda: We have to tell J.R.
Kendall: And Krystal.
J.R.: Sweet dreams, buddy. Ok?
Krystal: Come on, I'll take you up. Let's go.
J.R.: You having second thoughts about Babe moving in? Considering the old fringe benefits.
Adam: The only benefit of having Babe under my roof is an extra supply of pork rinds.
J.R.: Yeah, and Krystal there to share them with you. Mm-hmm!
J.R.: Yeah, hello?
Amanda: J.R., it's Amanda. Something happened. Something bad.
J.R.: Yeah, well, spit it out already.
Amanda: Richie kidnapped Babe. He broke into Fusion, and we don't know where they are. The cops are here, but I -- I -- I thought you should know. J.R., can you make sure that Krystal knows, too? J.R.? Are you there?
Adam: Son, what is it?
J.R.: Novak has Babe. He went into Fusion, and he took her.
Adam: Wait a minute. Everybody knows what a soft spot Babe has for that maniac. She probably left with him by choice. Maybe he -- maybe she -- it was her idea.
J.R.: What? What, you son of -- no. No, she didn't run off with Richie. He kidnapped her.
Annie: Is this where they're taking the statement?
Ryan: No, but I just figured, you know, since Angie's here, that --
Angie: Quick exam. Five minutes.
Annie: Oh, that's ok. I told you, I'm fine, really.
Angie: You lost consciousness, Annie. You need to be checked out.
Ryan: Ok? All right, I'll -- I'll be right outside. Cool?
Angie: Have a seat. All right, I just want you to follow my finger, ok?
Annie: Ok. Angie, I -- I really appreciate your concern, but I just feel like there are probably bigger things to be worried about right now.
Angie: Any pain here?
Annie: Nope. Could I ask you a question?
Angie: Mm-hmm. Of course.
Annie: Um, what are the rules on the whole doctor-patient confidentiality thing? Do you have to be in a hospital or an office for it to kick in?
Angie: Anything that we talk about stays between us.
Annie: Can losing consciousness affect a pregnancy?
Amanda: I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually feel sorry for J.R.
Greenlee: I need some fresh air.
Zach: Well, you're not going outside.
Greenlee: Well, then I'll be in the ladies' room, splashing cold water on my face.
Amanda: Well -- I'm coming with you.
Kendall: God, I thought we'd be safe here. Zach?
Kendall: Where did you go just now?
Zach: I was thinking about Richie.
Kendall: Well, what happened when you went to his motel room?
Zach: I had a plan to deal with him.
Kendall: Well, what do you mean, "deal with"?
Zach: When the court system doesn't work, you got to kind of figure something else out, right?
Kendall: Wait a minute, wait a minute. What were you going to do?
Zach: I want to make sure that he never hurts anybody again. I want him to look in my eyes and see the fear that I felt. He should feel. And you felt. And my family felt. I should have killed him when I had the chance.
Kendall: Jesse, have you heard about Babe?
Jesse: Yeah, I'm taking over the Novak case.
Lt. Perry: You're looking at Pine Valley's new police chief.
Kendall: Oh. Congratulations.
Greenlee: Congratulations on what?
Amanda: Did they find Babe?
Jesse: Not yet, and I could use your help.
Kendall: Yeah, Jesse's taking over for Derek.
Jesse: And I'd like to talk to all of you separately -- little interviews.
Zach: Or instead of doing that, you could go out and find Novak.
Jesse: Kind of need to gather some information.
Zach: What information do you need, Jesse? Babe is gone. She's been kidnapped. Go find her.
Jesse: There are officers out there on this. Richie Novak can't make a left turn in this town without running into a cop.
Zach: I think that's great. Let me call Krystal. She'll be so relieved. Can I use your phone?
Jesse: Why don't we start the interviews now, all right? And let me start with you. How's that?
Zach: Excuse me.
Jesse: So, you went to Novak's motel room tonight, huh?
Zach: Mm-hmm. And his sister was there. She tried to get him to do the right thing. So, he knocked her out and took off.
Jesse: Any idea why a visit from Annie would make him run?
Zach: Any idea why a judge would let him go out on bail? He locked me and Greenlee in a hole, left us there to die. He took J.R.'s bone marrow, and now he's out there with an innocent woman.
Jesse: So, the system let you down.
Zach: The system, dear Jesse, doesn't work.
Jesse: So, you want to make it work your way? Zach, justice is my job now. This is my job. You try to do my job, you're going to have to answer to me.
Kendall: Hey, let me, uh -- let me take you into the lounge. I'll get you a drink.
Zach: No, I got to go.
Kendall: No, no, no, no, no, Zach, please -- please don't.
Zach: Honey, I got to go.
Kendall: Ok, well, then I'm coming with you.
Zach: You trust me, right?
Kendall: Of course.
Greenlee: Well, um, it was dark. Someone shoved me and I hit the floor.
Jesse: Are you hurt?
Greenlee: No, I'm ok. Babe is the one in trouble.
J.R.: You stay on top of it, Perry, ok? Find her. And I want updates every 15 minutes.
Krystal: What did he say?
J.R.: Novak went into Fusion, he turned out the lights, and he grabbed her.
Krystal: Oh, God. I got to get down there.
Adam: Krystal, no.
J.R.: No, no, look, look. Krystal, look, look. I'm out of my mind, too, right now, ok? But the cops, they want us to stay put.
Krystal: My baby doll is being held by a monster, J.R. Think about what he did to you.
J.R.: I -- I know, but the cops are on top of this. Think about Babe. As soon as she comes home, she's going to be so mad for us freaking out.
Krystal: You're probably right. Thank you. Thank you for caring, J.R.
J.R.: Yeah. Can I give you a lift?
Krystal: No, no. Kathy's having a rough night. I don't want her to see me like this, and I don't want to leave Little A either.
Adam: You can stay here as long as you like.
Krystal: I got to call Tad. I got to call Tad. I got to let him know that I'm not -- I'm not coming home.
J.R.: How about this? I'll call Tad.
Angie: Squeeze my hands. Are you pregnant?
Annie: I'm not sure. My cycles have always been really irregular, and I'm a little later than usual this month, so I thought --
Angie: Have you taken a pregnancy test?
Annie: You know what? I -- I'll just call my Ob-Gyn tomorrow. That's easy.
Angie: Listen, Annie, if you want to know, we could go to the hospital. You and Ryan could find out together.
Annie: No, no, no. I don't think now's really a good time with all this stuff going on, you know?
Angie: Well, you and Ryan could use some good news.
Annie: No, please don't say anything to Ryan, Angie. I just wouldn't want him to be disappointed.
Erica: A politician with demons. Imagine that.
Samuel: Well, I think mine started from way back before running for the Senate was even an idea in my head.
Erica: Really? How far back?
Samuel: The day I passed the bar exam. That's the day that work became my life and in effect, eclipsed my life.
Erica: What do you mean? Oh, I'm -- I'm sorry. I don't mean to pry.
Samuel: No, it's -- it's all right. Um, I got hired by a big law firm on Wall Street right away, and I, you know, worked there and after a while, I felt like I was working to protect the rich and the guilty and like I was on the wrong side of the equation. So, I quit. I became a prosecutor.
Erica: Oh, that must have been quite an adjustment.
Samuel: It was. Hours were twice as long, the checks were half as big, but I felt rich. You know, I knew I was doing the right thing. I felt like I was finally fighting for the little man and at the same time, I -- I started to neglect my wife and my son.
Erica: Well, balancing a family and work, that can be very challenging.
Samuel: My wife had a busy career, too. Yeah. She was an investment banker, and she was always saying, "Let's have another baby." You know, "Let's have another kid." And I'd go, "No, no, we got time for that. We got time for that."
Erica: Tell me about her -- your wife.
Samuel: Melissa -- Melissa was beautiful, stunning, brilliant. An African American woman ready to take on the business world and not -- not lose her femininity at all. And fight the big boys -- fight with the big boys and win.
Erica: My kind of lady.
Samuel: Yeah, yeah. And she had the right kind of left-brain combination and right brain that -- you know, she was also an artist.
Samuel: Yeah, she did pottery.
Erica: Oh, how wonderful.
Samuel: We had a little room in the back of the house that we didn't use, and she'd use it as a studio. She'd go back there, blast her music, and disappear into her own world. And the morning of September 11, I woke up -- Melissa's nowhere around, and I hear Mozart. I go in the back, I open the door, and there she is covered in mud in her hair and her clothes, and she looks at me with this great big smile. She'd been there all night.
Erica: She must have been exhausted.
Samuel: She was exhilarated. Erica, she was so excited, and she created this beautiful piece. And I'll never forget. She turns to me and she said, "Sam, let's play hooky today. Let's me, you, and our son stop and just go to the Hudson River and get a pizza and just kick back as a family." And -- and I said no. I had a case to do. And I saw that smile go away. When we left the house, she had her piece with her. She wanted to put it in the window of her office in the South Tower. I could have stayed home, and I didn't. I didn't have to go to work.
Krystal: Don't, don't --
Adam: I care, too.
Krystal: You're a liar. I heard what you said to J.R. That Babe ran off with Richie on purpose, that it was her choice. You think she would actually leave her child to go off with that piece of trash?
Adam: I didn't -- I didn't say --
Krystal: Just -- just save it. All right? I know how you feel about my daughters. You tried to sell Jenny, and you've been trying to get rid of Babe since day one.
Adam: You misunderstood.
Krystal: I -- I heard you loud and clear, Adam. So, just stay the hell away from me.
Krystal: Did you talk to Tad?
J.R.: Yeah. He's sick over what happened to Babe, but he's calling his P.I. contacts to try to help.
Krystal: How are the girls?
J.R.: They're fine. And he told me to tell you not to worry. Just give him a call when you're up to it. And I think he told me one other thing. Oh, yeah. That he loved you.
Krystal: Thanks. I'm going to check on Little A.
J.R.: Ok. What did you say to her?
Jesse: You've been very helpful, Amanda. Thank you.
Amanda: You will find Babe, right?
Jesse: I'll be in touch as soon as we have anything. All right?
Amanda: Guys, call me, ok?
Greenlee and Kendall: Ok.
Jesse: Fellows, we're done. Ladies, stay strong. Stay vigilant. All right?
Kendall: Mm-hmm. Thanks.
Jesse: Good night.
Kendall: I am sick of this. I am sick of deranged lunatics attacking the women who work here. No more, Greenlee. No more.
Samuel: Melissa asked for one day, and I said no. And I have to live with that for the rest of my life. I made the wrong choice.
Erica: You listen to me, Samuel. You are not responsible for what happened. You were the victim of an unspeakable tragedy.
Samuel: No, I'm not a victim. I'm not a victim. If I'd had my priorities straight, -- my wife would be alive today and my son would still have a mother. I was self-centered.
Erica: You have done so much for so many people. I'm one of them.
Samuel: You remember the day I came in here, and I carried you to safety? You know what I flashed back on? My wife. And I thought about how beautiful it could have been if -- if I could have done that for her.
Warden: Mr. Woods, please accept my apologies.
Samuel: Yeah. I, um -- I assume you have an explanation for this.
Warden: A security breach. Lockdown was automatic.
Samuel: Ok. I'd like to talk to you in private -- now.
Warden: Of course.
J.R.: Oh, Dad, how did you manage to make Krystal even more upset.
Adam: I don't answer to you.
J.R.: No, I leave you alone for five minutes, she wants to put her fist through your face.
Adam: You're upset about Babe. Don't take it out on me.
J.R.: Well, why can't you just stop making things worse? Why can't you be just be like, I don't know, human for once?
Adam: So, this is my fault?
J.R.: When anybody gets hurt or angry around here, it's always your fault.
Krystal: Don't bother, J.R. He's a waste of time.
J.R.: Why hasn't Lieutenant Perry called me with an update? I'm done waiting.
Krystal: He doesn't want us to interfere, J.R.
J.R.: I can't just sit here.
Krystal: Well, then sit with your son and watch him sleep. It made me feel better. Go on, go on. Give it a -- give it a try.
J.R.: I love Babe. I just want her home safe.
Ryan: Thanks again, Angie.
Angie: You're very welcome. And you need me, call anytime. Hey.
Jesse: Hey. Novak's still out there, so I've got to get back to work.
Angie: Get back to work, I know. I know. Listen, keep me posted and --
Jesse: Always, Mrs. Chief.
Angie: Be careful.
Jesse: I will always be careful, Mrs. Chief. Ok? I'm kissing you at work. All right. Bye, baby.
Ryan: See you.
Jesse: How's the head?
Annie: It's better, thanks.
Jesse: Good. Listen, can you hang out a little longer?
Ryan: Uh, she just gave her statement, so --
Jesse: Yeah, I'd like to ask you a few more questions about your visit with your brother.
Ryan: She is done, Jesse. I'm taking her home.
Jesse: Ok, Ryan.
Greenlee: You're right, Kendall. Why are we all magnets for psychos?
Kendall: I don't know, but we can't just take it. We have to respond and send a message.
Greenlee: Ok. What are we going to do?
Kendall: We have to fight back.
Greenlee: Let's go find out where Richie took Babe and do something about it.
Richie's voice: Guard? Guard! The last time I was left alone with this guy, he almost killed me, man.
Zach: I did.
Richie: Ok. Hey, look. Come on. I mean, we're in jail. Unless you want a jail cell right next to mine, then I suggest you just go home, just leave. Go. What? Oh, come on. Guard, you're not going to let him do this, are you? Come on, guard!
