Cassandra: You're him. You're Jesse.
Jesse: Guilty as charged. It's really -- it's great to meet you, Cassandra.
Cassandra: Same here. No, I'm -- actually, it's more than great. You're the Hubb God.
Jesse: The Hubb God?
Frankie: Well, when Cass and I were kids, I used to tell her all about you.
Angie: And I told her the best of the Jesse stories.
Jessie: You poor kid.
Cassandra: You weren't, like, a person. You were this amazing myth.
Jesse: Hmm, thanks for the set-up, guys.
Cassandra: Oh, well -- I mean, I was way off. You seem like just a cool guy, and I can tell by the way my mom looks at you you're her man.
Erica: Hello? Hello! I want to see the warden. I -- I don't belong in here. I -- I haven't done anything wrong. This is inhuman!
Jack: There she is.
Jack: There you go. Congratulations, sweetheart.
Greenlee: Hmm, you're not supposed to make me cry until you give me away.
Jack: Sit down, sit down.
Jack: Something else for you, too. Here you go.
Greenlee: Wow. A blank check?
Jack: For your wedding.
Greenlee: I could do some serious financial damage with this.
Jack: I'm counting on it. I want you to have the wedding of your dreams.
Greenlee: I love you.
Jack: I love you, too. And I must say Aidan seems to love you a lot, and he very badly wants all of this to work out. There's no reason that all of this wouldn't work out, is there?
Greenlee: Ryan is my friend.
Greenlee: With no memory, and I helped him. Too hard, it's over. He moved back in with Annie. That's going to work out. I'm with Aidan. That's going to work out. Everyone's with the right person. All is right with the world.
Aidan: First day on the job, and you're sending me to southern Sudan?
Zach: That's right.
Aidan: You're a funny guy.
Zach: Yeah? You'll find that I don't have a sense of humor about a lot of things. Read the file. Cambias is heading a relief effort for a refugee camp over there, and one of our chief organizers was kidnapped by rebels.
Aidan: There's no name here.
Zach: We don't have a name yet.
Aidan: Locate and extract.
Zach: Yeah. You up for it?
Kendall: Excuse me, who are you?
Josh: I think I'm your long, lost brother.
Kendall: Right. Yeah, I forgot what you look like.
Josh: Thank you very much. Yeah, I've been working so much it's become my life.
Kendall: Yeah, same here. Come here, you.
Josh: It's good to see you.
Kendall: Hi. Oh! You want to escape? Let's escape. You can come and have lunch with me and Amanda and Babe downstairs.
Josh: You know, I would love to, but I don't have time. I just came to get an update on Erica, and then, I got to go back to Cambias and deal with this crisis.
Kendall: What crisis?
Aidan: You're recruiting an extraction team. Are these mercenaries or commandos?
Zach: Hired commandos.
Aidan: So you'll be fine, then. You won't need me. They can handle this.
Zach: I want you to direct the operation.
Aidan: Why? Why me, Zach?
Greenlee: And so we're -- we're putting together this major presentation for the charm! Fragrance, hoping to snag some foreign investors. We're up to our eyeballs with the prep work, and I've got all this preliminary stuff to do for the wedding, and I can't focus on either.
Jack: And why is that, exactly? Thank you.
Greenlee: I keep thinking about the house I want for me and Aidan.
Jack: The house? Honey, you don't have to worry about that right now.
Greenlee: I know, but I can't shake it. I'm obsessed.
Greenlee: I am. So I've decided that it's going to be my wedding gift to my groom.
Jack: So you're getting your spouse a house.
Greenlee: Yeah, he quit his job with Tad, and he started with Cambias, and he wants to be a regular guy and come home to me every night. I want to make him as happy as he's made me.
Zach: I want you, because you've kicked ass in these kind of operations before.
Aidan: Yep, that's right. It's past tense.
Zach: Well, I imagine you still have your skills.
Aidan: Yeah, but I didn't take this job to use those skills, Zach. Wanted the 9:00 to 5:00, you know, PDA, bad coffee. No guns, no explosives, no risk.
Zach: I didn't plan this. It just happened. A man needs our help, and I need someone I can trust to go over there and take care of it. I don't have time to convince you, because the man will be dead. It's your call, Aidan.
Kendall: Kidnapped from a refugee camp?
Josh: Yeah, dead of night. No warning.
Kendall: That's horrible.
Kendall: How is Zach handling it?
Josh: Well, he's working on getting our guy out of there.
Kendall: Yeah, of course.
Josh: Yeah, listen, um, before I go, I just wanted to get the lowdown on Erica. You did see her yesterday, didn't you?
Kendall: Yeah, she's -- she's amazing. I mean, she's working the place like it's her prison.
Josh: Huh. Yeah, that's to be expected.
Kendall: It's weird. The only thing she's worried about is me.
Josh: You? Why? Is there something you're not telling me?
Erica: Well, someone has to stand up to the warden. Someone has to be an advocate for the other inmates' rights. I can't do anything in here, except go crazy. Don't go there. You've been through worse. You'll get through this. You're Erica Kane.
Cassandra: You know, Mom told me what that Papel thug did to you. You kind of are superhuman.
Jesse: No. Come on, I'm just a guy who wanted to live and find his way back to his family, and I'm really glad that you're part of that family.
Cassandra: You might want to hold off on saying that till you get to know me.
Jesse: No, I think I already do. I mean, your mother and your brother have told me stories about you, too.
Frankie: Oh, be afraid. Be very afraid.
Jesse: Stop it. The were all good.
Cassandra: I think I like him.
Angie: Well, I knew you would.
Jesse: And I think I like her.
Angie: Listen, you want to see your room?
Jesse: Let's get the bags. Oh, hey.
Frankie: Ooh, what do you have in here?
Cassandra: I just, you know, a case of French wine, a few Picassos, a couple French poodles.
Jesse: Ooh, don't let the dogs out.
Adam: How could the stereo turn itself on?
Techie: Not possible. System wouldn't support it. No timing device.
Adam: But the -- the power was off. And yet, it played a song. I heard it.
Techie: Had to be coming from somewhere else.
Adam: There is no -- no somewhere -- uh, go. Get out.
Colby: Dad -- thank you. Thank you.
Adam: Leave! The man's an idiot.
Colby: Ok, are you sure you heard the song coming from this stereo?
Adam: Sweetheart, where else could it have come from? Maybe -- maybe the, uh, the grandfather clock got tired of chiming, and -- and, uh, got itself a whole new repertoire? No, I heard "You Are My Sunshine." I heard it in this room.
Adam: Ah, J.R. Someone is, uh, playing tricks on me. Um, they're playing that song, that, uh, that damn song that Dixie used to sing all the time. Is it you?
J.R.: I don't know what you're talking about.
Colby: J.R., Dad heard the song. That's why the repair guy was here, and he's having the maid check all his buttons on his shirts.
Adam: J.R., you -- you saw the shirt, J.R. You saw that somebody had taken all the buttons off my shirt while I was sleeping.
J.R.: I think you need to get your head checked out.
Colby: This is serious.
Adam: Be careful.
J.R.: I am just rehydrating. I'm not boozing.
Adam: There's something wrong with that bar.
J.R.: Yeah, sure is. Looks like you're running low on single malt.
Adam: I poured myself a drink last night, and I -- and I set it down on the bar, and it, uh, it moved. And then -- then it moved again. And then it flew all the way across the room and crashed into the fireplace. Now, don't -- don't look at me like that. It happened.
Colby: Dad, you're scaring me.
J.R.: All right, fun's over. What are you trying to pull? You want something from us, so you're playing crazy, so you can try to get it.
Adam: I'm not playing crazy. It's that ridiculous ditty.
J.R.: Look, you can play all the games you want, but don't use my mother, her song, or anything that's connected to her. I've told you before. You leave my mother out of this!
Adam: Watch the way you talk to me, son.
J.R.: You watch how you talk about my mother.
Colby: Ok, you guys, stop. Dad, Barry Shire called. Remember? He said it was important, so I think you should go call him back.
Colby: You need to knock it off.
J.R.: What? He came at me first. He plays like he wants to make up. He asked me to help him out at Chandlers, so what do I do? I help him. I come here to report to him, and then what does he do? He pulls this number on me about my mom.
Colby: That was not "a number."
J.R.: Colby, my mother died and was poisoned right here in this room. You know how often I think about that? Every time I walk through that door, every single time.
Colby: I'm sorry, J.R.
J.R.: I was only with her for less than a year. It was our second chance. I spent most of that time being angry at her for letting me think that -- that she died. And then she really did die. No more second chances.
Aidan: What will be arranged for transport?
Zach: You'll take the Cambias jet, pick up your team halfway, and then continue to the southern Sudan.
Aidan: Briefing in transit. What about gear, munitions?
Zach: There's a helicopter waiting for you there, everything you need's onboard.
Aidan: I'm in.
Zach: Good. You'll be in the air today.
Aidan: I need the I.D. on the kidnap victim before I leave.
Zach: What about Greenlee?
Aidan: She'll understand.
Greenlee: Ah, enough about me, for now. What have you been doing for fun?
Jack: Well, actually, I've been mostly doing a lot of work.
Greenlee: Put down the legal pad and whoop it up once in a while. How else are you going to find a date for my wedding?
Jack: What makes you think I'm going to have to find a date for your wedding?
Greenlee: You're bringing Erica? What, is she busting out of prison again?
Jack: No, Greenlee -- she didn't bust out to start with.
Greenlee: Oh, that's right, that's right. She was abducted and then fell in love with her captor.
Jack: Where do you get your information? She did not fall in love with Carmen.
Greenlee: If only. Then you'd be off the hook.
Jack: Gree -- thank you. Ahem, you know, Erica realized that Carmen was wrongly accused. I'm working on an appeal for her.
Greenlee: You're representing her prison buddy now?
Jack: Yes, I'm representing her prison buddy now, Greenlee, and I have a very strong case.
Greenlee: You know, I know I got in trouble for going here before, but I was hoping while Erica did her time that you would be open to other possibilities.
Jack: Greenlee, ahem.
Greenlee: Why don't you just move into prison with her?
Jack: You know, Erica is doing good work in there, you know? Not just for Carmen. For the other inmates, as well.
Greenlee: Teaching them how to do their eyes?
Jack: Teaching them how to do their whole face, and she's trying to improve conditions in this prison, you know? Greenlee, she's trying to empower these women, give them a little hope. And frankly, I'm going to do everything I can to help.
Erica: Ok, you will get through this. Just have to keep yourself occupied. So, what would you be doing if you weren't in here? What time is it? What day is it? Well, that doesn't matter. Let's just say it's Monday. And you're ready to do a show. Hair and makeup is done. Cameras are ready. You get your cue -- and you're on. Hello, everyone, and welcome to "New Beginnings." Today's topic is how to survive solitary confinement. Follow the three don'ts. One, don't eat the food, because it's not food. Two, don't keep track of time, because you'd probably lose track of time immediately, which is probably a good thing. Three, don't let anxiety win. You fight it. You fight it, because if you don't -- what did the one prisoner in solitary say to the other? Nothing. Because she was in solitary. She was alone. Ba-dump-bump. Talking to yourself is good, because it keeps you active, keeps your spirits up. Till you can't think of anything else to say.
Kendall: Oh, Mom just over worries. It's a girl thing, you know? Really, honestly, I am fine. Really.
Josh: The boys ok?
Kendall: Yeah, they're great. They miss their Uncle Josh. They want to know when they're going to see you again.
Josh: Yeah, I know. I miss them, too, and I swear I will go over and see them as soon as I deal with this situation.
Kendall: Well, is the government helping with the rescue?
Josh: Actually, Zach is sending his own team.
Josh: He wants Aidan on the job.
Angie: I figured I'd keep the decor simple. You know, I figured you'd want to do your own thing.
Frankie: Man, she had me fluffing pillows, straightening them up just right.
Cassandra: I could lose this noisy rug.
Jesse: Ok, I'm out of here. I got to get out of here before she lets out them French dogs. Au revoir.
Cassandra: Wow, you -- you made it easy for me.
Angie: Well, Jesse was as nervous as you were.
Cassandra: Really? Ah, I just -- I don't know. I felt like I was just babbling.
Frankie: Ah, a little bit, but you did good.
Cassandra: Je regarde mon frère. Je vois le pere.
[Angie and Cassandra laugh]
Frankie: Now, you know I took Spanish. Please, translate.
Angie: She sees your dad in you.
Cassandra: C'est vrai.
Frankie: Oh, don't tell me you're becoming a francophile now.
Cassandra: Yeah, but I'm still a Frankie-phile. I missed you so much. When you went to Iraq, I thought -- I don't know, I was just afraid that I would never see you again.
Frankie: Oh. Hmm.
J.R.: I went to my mom's gravesite today, and I sat there and talked to her, as if she could hear me, and she was listening. I mean -- my God. Guess it's just wishful thinking.
Colby: No, I bet she was listening.
J.R.: And then I come here today, and Dad lies. He tells me that he heard "You Are My Sunshine."
Colby: I don't think Dad is lying. I'm not saying that he heard the song, but he thinks he did. He believes all of it, the glass flying off the bar, the disappearing buttons. Something is seriously wrong with him, and it's not panic attacks this time.
Adam: Well, Barry is quite impressed with the deal you sealed for Chandler today. Says you "scored." There are a few, uh, little details in the contract he'd like to discuss with you, though. He's, uh, on hold.
Adam: Your brother went way over the line today.
Colby: Dad, J.R. went to Dixie's grave today. He's still grieving for her, so when you brought up that song, it really --
Adam: No, he'll always be grieving for her. She's the angel, and that makes me the devil. You know, Dixie is not nearly the angel that J.R. or anyone else thought she was. When she wasn't trying to take him away from me, she was busy in his ear, trying to poison his mind against me. Dixie is the reason that J.R. doesn't trust me.
Erica: Just close your eyes. Try to imagine that you're somewhere else, somewhere you'd rather be. Someplace relaxing.
Erica: Oh. Merci.
Kendall: Mmm. The weather is perfect. The water -- everything is perfect.
Erica: Oh, the Cote d'Azur specializes in perfect.
Kendall: I'm so glad we did this.
Erica: A month in Europe with my daughters.
Kendall: Open your eyes.
Erica: Hmm, the sun is too strong.
Kendall: Open your eyes.
Erica: Hmm. My sleeping mask. Well -- ok, try again.
Jack: Ok, you can open your eyes.
Erica: A baby banyan.
Jack: Grown from a seed from our wedding tree.
Erica: Oh, I love it.
Jack: I love you.
Jack: Come on. Dance with me.
Erica: Take me away, Jack. It's not working. I don't know what else to do. Well, I can't do this. Hmm. Well, hello.
Zach: Aidan Devane signed on. As soon as we have an I.D. on the hostage. I will let you know when he's airborne. Ok. Hey.
Kendall: Um, Josh told me about Aidan's first assignment.
Zach: Very sensitive situation.
Kendall: A hostage situation.
Zach: That's right.
Kendall: Zach, I thought you said that Aidan was going to have a desk job dealing with corporate espionage.
Zach: He will. This came up, and I need him to handle it.
Kendall: Hey, Zach. We burnt down the house.
Zach: Yes, we burned down the house to move on, and we have.
Kendall: But you're sending Aidan into a war zone.
Zach: To save a man's life.
Kendall: I understand that.
Zach: No other agenda, Kendall.
Kendall: I just don't want anything bad to happen to him.
Zach: Neither do I.
Greenlee: Aidan. What are you doing here?
Aidan: Well, I thought I'd crash the engagement party.
Jack: My friend, you don't have to crash. You just join us. Nick, can we, uh, can we get another glass here, please?
Greenlee: Look what I got.
Greenlee: For the wedding.
Aidan: Oh, my -- are you insane?
Jack: Uh, quite possibly, judging by that, yes.
Jack: Excuse me.
Aidan: Pour me a drink?
Jack: Jack Montgomery. What? I'll be there as soon as I can, all right? Kids, I'm sorry. I'm going to have to take off. Uh, work, you know, but listen. Before I go, a toast. To my lovely daughter and her fiancé and to -- obviously, you two are in love.
Jack: Here's to you.
Greenlee: Hear, hear.
Jack: Hmm, all right, sweetheart, you stay in touch. Give me a kiss. Take care of her, all right?
Aidan: Yeah, I will.
Jack: Good, good. See you later.
Greenlee: Ok, bye, Dad. Hey, sit down. Have lunch with me.
Aidan: I can't. Greenlee, I don't have time.
Greenlee: Oh, is Zach working you hard already?
Aidan: He's, um, he's sending me overseas.
Greenlee: Wow. Soon?
Greenlee: Well, I want to come. Do I -- do I pack couture or bikinis?
Aidan: Greenlee, you can't. It's not that kind of trip, right? This is a rescue mission.
Greenlee: What are you rescuing? Stock options?
Aidan: Cambias is sponsoring a humanitarian crew in Sudan.
Greenlee: Oh, God, no.
Aidan: Someone in the crew was kidnapped.
Greenlee: You're not going.
Kendall: Zach, you don't have to send Aidan. You can find someone else.
Zach: There's no time. Besides, he's the best man for the job.
Kendall: Because he's Special Ops.
Zach: Yes, an expert in search and rescue.
Kendall: Does Greenlee know?
Zach: He went to talk to her now.
Kendall: Well, she'll never go for this.
Zach: We'll see.
Kendall: No. There is no way she will kiss Aidan goodbye and send him into a war zone.
Greenlee: Call Zach now. Tell him to get another guy.
Aidan: I can't back out now, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Sudan is a war zone.
Aidan: Listen, I have done this kind of thing before, all right? I'm good at it. I'm good at surviving.
Greenlee: There's a first time for everything, including not surviving. You took this job at Cambias, because you were supposed to be safe.
Aidan: This is a one-time thing.
Greenlee: Yeah, if you don't come back.
Aidan: I will come back.
Greenlee: Don't go.
Aidan: Greenlee, a man could die, all right -- a man that I know that I can save. I won't be able to live with myself if I don't do this.
Greenlee: Yeah, well, I won't be able to live without you. You've got me saying stupid lines from old movies.
Aidan: Listen, if you can't live without me, well, then I've got to come back and save you, don't I? And I will. I promise.
J.R.: Barry's going to have that final draft of the contract drawn up for you and me to sign first thing in the morning.
J.R.: The Columbus company's ours.
Colby: Ok, I'm late. I got to go to the hospital, Dad. You take care of yourself, ok?
Adam: I'm fine, sweetheart.
Colby: J.R., wait.
J.R.: I don't want to talk about him any more.
Colby: You had a second chance with your mom, and you regret wasting time being angry with her. You don't want to have the same regrets about him, do you?
J.R.: Colby --
Colby: You're angry. Get over it. Dad needs us. Please don't go.
Cassandra: You've got to stop scaring us.
Frankie: I will.
Cassandra: You promise, Filbert?
Frankie: I promise, Dorkas.
Cassandra: Gosh, should I even still be awake?
Angie: Oh, baby, jet lag. You'll feel a lot better after you eat something.
Cassandra: She's still pushing food.
Frankie: Oh, she can't help herself.
Angie: Listen, Jesse made some chili, so I'm going to go see if it's ready.
Cassandra: God, Mom seems crazy happy.
Frankie: She is.
Cassandra: And he's -- he's really good to her, right?
Frankie: They love each other, Cass. So, how's Jacob?
Cassandra: Dad's great. I mean, he's doing his music and the Parisians love his tunes.
Frankie: You ok with leaving him?
Cassandra: It's not forever. I mean, nothing's forever, at least not with me. I don't -- going to Paris was une aventure.
Frankie: Ok, got it.
Cassandra: Coming here is another adventure, and I'm going to plan a lot more of them all over the world. I mean, I'm still going to have time for the people I care about, but --
Frankie: That's nice of you.
Cassandra: I have to see the world, Frankie. I have to live it all so I can have something real to write about and draw about.
Frankie: Oh, still a double threat?
Cassandra: Yeah. This bag has all my sketches and journals in it.
Frankie: So, are these poems still top secret?
Cassandra: Yeah, for now. I mean, you can read them when I publish.
Frankie: Now, you haven't written anything bad about me, have you?
Cassandra: Not yet, but you better be nice to me -- I'll bust you in ink.
Frankie: Oh. Yeah, I missed you, too.
Jesse: So, you think she really likes me?
Angie: She really likes you. Baby, could you get the bowls, please?
Jesse: You got it. You know, it's really wild seeing Frankie with little sister. He's really crazy about her, too.
Angie: You know, you should have seen him with her when she was a baby. I mean, they would --
Jesse: What? What's wrong, baby?
Angie: We're here together -- I mean, you, my babies. Jesse, I never thought this would happen, all of us together under one roof. I have my whole world under one roof, my whole world.
Jesse: Come here, come here, come here.
Angie: My whole world.
Erica: I'm not supposed to have any visitors. How did you get in here? Did you make the warden angry, too? Ladybugs are supposed to be good luck -- that's good, I need some. I need some good luck, Gwendolyn. That's what I'm going to call you. I like your style, Gwen. The red, polka dots -- it's working. I have a confession to make. It's not easy for me to be in here. I don't know how long I'm going to be here. I have nothing to do. It makes me feel so useless, so hopeless, like I don't even really exist. I'm feeling a little better now. It's nice having someone to talk to, and you're a good listener. Oh, I wish I had your wings, and I could just fly out of here. Oh, oh, no. Oh, no, don't leave. No.
Greenlee: I want to hate you for this.
Aidan: You can beat me up when I get back.
Greenlee: When do you have to leave?
Aidan: By the end of the day.
Aidan: Listen, I'll be back before you know it.
Greenlee: Don't say "before you know it." Don't say that because I will know it. I'll be thinking about you and worrying about you every hour, every minute, every second.
Aidan: Listen, just think about us at the altar saying our vows, doing the ring thing, and, you know, smiling for all those -- all those pictures, shoving wedding cake in each other's faces. I will come back to my bride.
Colby: I know that you've had some tough times here and so have I, but this is our home and Dad needs us right now. I need my brother. I can't do this alone. Please stay.
J.R.: I'll think about it.
Jesse: Let me show you something. Here it is. I finally got through all that red tape and it's official. I ain't dead no more. Yeah, my death certificate is finally null and void. Check me out. Driver's license -- bam. Social security card -- bam. Passport -- bam. And, oh, a nice little letter from the IRS welcoming me back to the land of back taxes.
Angie: Oh, my God, Jesse, this is amazing. But there is something missing.
Angie: A marriage certificate.
Jesse: Well, you know what we got to do to get a marriage certificate, don't you?
Angie: We've been waiting for the right time and this is it. Jesse, I want what we've never had, a wedding.
Jesse: Oh, yeah.
Angie: A huge, wonderful wedding! I mean, everyone will be there, all the people we love.
Jesse: Whatever you want, baby, you got it.
Cassandra: Oh, ok. Wow, I don't think lunch is ready yet. Let's go back to my room.
Angie: No, no, no. Wait, wait, wait. Come, come, come. We have some really big news. Jesse and I are going to have a wedding.
Jesse: You need to prepare yourself for a penguin suit, kid, because we're going way out.
Frankie: That's great.
Jesse: All the way out.
Cassandra: Congratulations, Mom and Jesse.
Angie: But listen, the wedding is not just about the two of us. It's going to be a celebration of all of us, ok? The Hubbard family.
["You Are My Sunshine" plays]
Adam: Damn you, Dixie.
[Adam gets slapped]
Adam: What the --
[A picture of Dixie falls off the table]
Erica: Gwendolyn, where are you? You have to be here somewhere. There's no way out. Come back to me, Gwendolyn. I can't do this alone.
Jack: Jack Montgomery.
Carmen: Jackie, thank God I got you. You have to come to the prison.
Jack: Carmen, what's -- what's going on? What's wrong?
Carmen: Erica went to see the warden yesterday, and she never came back. I just found out they put her in solitary. That's like torture. You have to get her out.
Erica: She's gone. She's left me. Oh, please come back. Please don't leave me all alone. Please come back. I can't do this alone. Please.
Zach: No, you don't. You hold off the press until after the rescue. Just do it.
Kendall: Zach, I have a bad feeling about this. Please don't send Aidan.
Greenlee: Why are you trying to get my fiancé killed?
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Tad (to Aidan): Are you sure Zach Slater is not sending you on some kind of suicide mission?
Greenlee: Why does Aidan have to be the one to rescue this guy?
Zach: Aidan is the right man for the job.
Greenlee: No. You're making this personal. So what exactly am I missing here?
