Adam: I'm surprised you didn't want to know what was on that DVD you just locked up.
Adam: The DVD.
J.R.: Oh, I get it. You're -- you're just dying to tell me here, huh?
Adam: No, no, no, not -- not really. I just -- I thought you might be curious, that's all.
J.R.: You got some dirt on a pathetic idiot. You're going to use it when you need it, right?
J.R.: Just don't get me involved.
Adam: Well, since you don't want to be part of my despicable machinations, then, well, far be it for me to include you.
J.R.: Well, you are in great spirits, considering.
Adam: Well, my son just came home.
J.R.: No tearing after Tad?
Adam: Oh, why bother?
J.R.: Because of what he's doing to Krystal.
Adam: What are you talking about?
J.R.: Well, she -- she didn't tell you?
Adam: Tell me what? What has he done now?
J.R.: He's suing for sole custody of Jenny.
Adam: That bastard! Let him try.
J.R.: You're not going anywhere, Dad.
Tad: You're not taking my daughter anywhere.
Krystal: I'm not running away from you, Tad.
Tad: Well, the suitcase says different.
Krystal: I'm running away from Adam.
Kendall: Welcome home, Spikey.
Ryan: Hey, look at you. You know what? We got some chocolate chip cookies with your name on them, big guy.
Kendall: Oh, my goodness. Um -- he looks good, right? He looks ok?
Ryan: Yeah. He looks great. He looks so good. You are one tough little guy, aren't you?
Kendall: Yeah, yeah, you are. It is so good to have you home, my boy. It is.
Ryan: Kendall, he wouldn't have been discharged this early if the doctors weren't absolutely sure that he could handle it, ok? Ok.
Kendall: I know.
Ryan: All right.
Kendall: You know what? I think we should get you settled in your room. Yes, we should.
Ryan: Hey -- you heard from Aidan?
Kendall: Oh, no, thanks.
Kendall: Um, he's -- he's at the shack. He's still looking for Zach and Greenlee. Ok, little monkey, you know what? I think we need to go see your little brother. He is going to be so excited to see you, and -- and so is Daddy Zach -- when he gets here. Yeah. He wanted to be here, but -- don't look at me like that.
Ryan: Like what?
Kendall: Don't look at me like I'm a widow.
Aidan: Hey. What did you cover?
Quentin: I searched four of the final five grids, back to back, walked about 10 clicks north-northwest. But when I retraced, I found this.
Aidan: Well, that could be anybody's blood. It could be an animal's.
Quentin: I found it in the gully -- near where you found your girl's phone and the Slater guy's sketch.
Aidan: So we test it. All right, we already know that Zach Slater was bleeding.
Quentin: The missing subjects have been out of touch for weeks now.
Aidan: I know, all right?
Quentin: I checked the weather forecast. it's supposed to drop another 10 degrees in the next 36 hours, and they have no gear.
Aidan: Look, she's here somewhere, and we're going to find her.
Quentin: With Slater's open wound, by now, both of them could be in shock or hypothermia or even dead.
Aidan: Listen, Greenlee is not dead, all right? She's not dying on me.
Greenlee: Oh, my God --
Zach: Go there now.
Greenlee: It bit me, it bit me! Oh, my God, kill it, kill it! Oh!
Zach: You all right?
Greenlee: Does it look like I'm all right?
Zach: Just keep your hand below your heart.
Greenlee: Oh, my God, is it dead, is it dead? Is it poisonous?
Zach: I'll get rid of it.
Greenlee: Oh, my God, it is poisonous, I'm going to die!
Zach: Keep your hand below your heart, that's all.
Greenlee: Zach, I'm going to die. God, I've been poisoned, help me! We're down here, help!
Zach: No one can hear you.
Greenlee: I don't want to die down here, Zach. I don't want to die.
Zach: You're not going to die --
Greenlee: Ok, ok, ok, first-aid, first-aid. I need -- I need -- pressure. We have to -- we have to put pressure and --
Zach: The more you panic, the faster the poison's going to move, so calm down.
Greenlee: Ok, I'm going to keep breathing, keep breathing.
Zach: Sit down, all right?
Greenlee: I'm going to keep breathing -- yes, I'm sitting.
Zach: Ok, I'm going to have to get the poison out.
Zach: Just close your eyes, bite down on this.
Greenlee: No way, no way, Zach, it hurts too much!
Zach: It's going to hurt more in a second -- do it.
Greenlee: I can't do it!
Zach: Here, look at me. It's going to be all right, ok? Now, close your eyes. Work with me.
Ryan: Hey, I'm sorry that you didn't get back in time to put Ian down.
Kendall: Oh, no, you kidding me? Two boys asleep in their very own bed -- nothing beats that.
Ryan: How about we get some dinner? You want some Chinese?
Kendall: You don't have to stay, Ryan.
Ryan: Do you want some cookies? There's got to be some chocolate chip cookies around this place.
Kendall: No, listen to me. I don't need a babysitter, ok? Rachael is here, and Josh is on his way home, I'm fine.
Ryan: I know that, I know.
Kendall: You don't want to leave Spike any more than I do.
Kendall: Ok. All right. Well, then you know what? You guys are welcome to stay. You can call Annie, and have her bring Emma. It'll be like old times.
Ryan: They will find him, Kendall.
Kendall: I know. I know. I just -- I just wish that Zach were here now.
Ryan: Chinese it is. You want some sweet-and-sour chicken or sesame?
Kendall: Are you sure? I mean, really sure?
Ryan: Yes, I'm really sure -- Annie knows I'm going be here a while.
Kendall: Ok, all right.
Kendall: Both -- I want it all.
Ryan: Ok. Hey, this is the Slater house. Yes, that is the address, exactly. I'd like to place an order, please, for delivery. We'll have a large order of sweet-and-sour chicken, make an order of sesame chicken, as well as -- I don't know -- maybe some beef and broccoli and some egg rolls. Yeah -- no, no drinks. Thanks, we're good. Thank you very much. About half an hour.
Kendall: So, how's Annie?
Ryan: Better, thank you. Now that Richie is locked in a ward, she feels like the whole world is off her shoulders. You know, she feels -- she feels free.
Kendall: That's good, Ryan, that's -- that's great. I'm so happy for you guys. What a relief.
Ryan: Hey, I'm sorry if -- uh -- if I upset you before. I really didn't mean to.
Kendall: I'm sorry I snapped at you.
Ryan: It's ok.
Ryan: All right.
Kendall: I don't know what it is. It's like everywhere I am, I feel like I'm supposed to be somewhere else, you know, ever since the -- the crazy accident. I mean, I go into labor, and then I hand over Spike to Greenlee.
Ryan: Kendall, what happened is not your fault.
Kendall: Ryan, Spike was in the hospital, and I was having Ian, so here I am torn. It's like I had to choose between my two sons. Do I go to -- to the NICU, or do I go to the Pediatric ICU? I mean, how is anyone supposed to choose? And now Zach is missing, and -- and Spike is still in and out of the hospital over and over again.
Ryan: Kendall, it's ok, you can't do everything. You know, you can't -- you can't be everywhere.
Kendall: Well, I -- I shouldn't even have to choose. I mean, there shouldn't even have to be a choice. My family should be here home, healthy and safe.
Ryan: And they will be.
Ryan: Look, you hear that? He's here.
Kendall: But Zach is not. And I can't look for him and -- and take care of my sons at the same time.
Ryan: There's lots of people looking for Zach right now, lots.
Kendall: I made a deal with God for Spike. I told him that if Spike made it through the surgery, then I would --
Ryan: You'd what?
Kendall: I told him that I would confess to the police for setting up Greenlee. But I didn't. I didn't keep my promise.
Quentin: Your girlfriend is missing. I get that, but don't come after me, man.
Aidan: All right. You're right. I'm sorry. Listen, it won't happen again, ok?
Quentin: I'm just giving you the facts.
Aidan: Yeah, but I know them all, all right? I don't need you giving me your opinions.
Quentin: Fine. What now?
Aidan: We leave this rock for my friend to pick it up to test the blood, and then we get out there, and we search again.
Quentin: There's nothing out there.
Aidan: No, listen, we'll search again, like I said, all right? I'm not going to give up.
Quentin: You see the choppers?
Aidan: Yeah. I called in a few favors, they're looking outside the grid. But, look, they're here somewhere, and we're going to find her.
Quentin: "What he wouldn't do for love."
Aidan: What was that?
Quentin: My mom's favorite song. She used to sing it all the time -- "Fool for Love."
Aidan: You're camping out here in the middle of nowhere in the winter alone, and you're calling me the fool?
Quentin: Whatever works.
Aidan: I know your story, Quentin.
Adam: Get out of my way!
J.R.: You're going to tell me that you pulled all these strings to get me out of jail, now you want to fight me?
Adam: I want to find Martin!
J.R.: And tell him what -- that he can't fight for his kid?
Adam: He's not going to take Jenny away from Krystal, no.
J.R.: You mean he can't do what you did to me?
Adam: Oh, come on, that's not the same.
J.R.: Yeah, that's right, you didn't go down the legal road -- you had my mother committed.
Adam: This is different. It doesn't involve either you or Dixie.
J.R.: Are you kidding me? This has everything to do about me -- this is my family, too.
Adam: Oh, well, fine. You going to choose Tad over your own father again?
J.R.: It's always about you.
Adam: No, no, it's about that other guy -- the one you call your "other father."
J.R.: I would choose Jenny over either one of you, and every kid who has ever had his life turned upside down.
Adam: I'm not going to hurt Jenny.
J.R.: And Tad is? He is her father, like it or not. Too bad, it's tough.
Adam: Krystal knows what's best for her daughter.
J.R.: Then let her take it to the mat with Tad.
Adam: No! No, it's not going that far.
J.R.: Why? Because it's going to ruin your big reunion plans with Krystal?
Adam: No, because Jenny deserves to be with Krystal.
J.R.: Well, it's nice of you to finally acknowledge that. You messed up with Jenny. You were pissed and jealous, and you went for the jugular. I mean, you tried to pawn that poor kid off to the highest bidder.
Adam: Krystal -- Krystal's forgiven me.
J.R.: Oh, I find that hard to believe -- and I know Tad never will.
Adam: Oh, I don't give a damn about Tad, but Krystal needs me.
J.R.: No, not for this. You let them hash it out, you stay out of it.
Adam: I don't need you to tell me what to do.
J.R.: You know, if you don't back off Krystal, I think it's safe to say that she's going to stop loving you -- and I wouldn't even be surprised if she started to hate you.
Krystal: Tad, you were right. I don't want to be anywhere near Adam, I don't want Jenny anywhere near Adam, and I don't want to fight with you.
Tad: Wait a minute. What the hell happened?
Krystal: You're Jenny's dad. Not Adam, you. You're the one who -- who tucks her in at night, who sings her silly songs and makes silly faces. You promise to protect her, and you love her, and I love that you love her, and I don't want to fight with you, Tad.
Tad: Well, I don't want to fight with you, either, but you know what that means.
Krystal: I do not want to destroy this life, this home, this family that we've made.
Tad: Well, look, I'm sorry, but from where I'm standing, that looks like that's exactly what you're doing.
Krystal: No, no.
Tad: I'm confused. I thought we established -- good or bad -- that you are in love with Adam.
Krystal: I will never choose him over my daughter.
Tad: Krystal, what makes this different from all the other times you said you'd never have anything to do with him ever again?
Krystal: Because this time I'm not going to give him the chance to get to me.
Tad: How's that?
Krystal: I'm leaving Pine Valley, and I'm going tonight.
Tad: Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, wait -- just wait a minute.
Krystal: No, no, I can't wait.
Tad: Slow down, slow down.
Krystal: I'll let you know where I land, I'll call you. We'll start a -- a new life, ok, we'll find a new place.
Tad: "We"? Really? I mean, you want to -- you want to start over somewhere out there, with me?
Tad: We're just going to ride off into the sunset like the end of some chick flick?
Krystal: Yeah. I mean, I -- I'm not in love with you, Tad --
Tad: Well, then why would you ever consider doing something this severe?
Krystal: But I do love you. And I know you love me, us, with a kind of love that trusts, raises a family.
Tad: Just not here.
Krystal: No. Far away from Pine Valley as possible.
Tad: Krystal, Pine Valley is where I belong, it's where my family is, my home.
Krystal: Look, I have lots of experience resettling, Tad. I'll -- I'll find something just like Pine Valley.
Tad: There is no other place like Pine Valley.
Krystal: Ok, look, we'll find a good home in a good neighborhood. She can have lots of friends to play with, all right? I can start a new comeback, you can be a PI anywhere, Tad.
Tad: Yeah, well, if I -- if I wanted to, but -- what, you think I would just pack up and leave everything I know, my entire family, because you don't want to say no to Adam?
Krystal: No, because you want Jenny to know her mother and her father. You want that.
Tad: Krystal, what about your family? What about -- what about Babe? What about Little Adam?
Krystal: Babe will understand, and she can bring Little Adam to visit, honey. Jenny and little Adam can swing on the swing set all day long.
Tad: Jenny, Jenny -- look, what about Colby? Colby is Jenny's godmother, and you know as well as I do Colby considers us to be her family.
Krystal: Colby can come with us.
Tad: Oh --
Krystal: If she wants, she --
Tad: Yeah -- like Adam is really going to let that happen.
Krystal: Ok, I -- I haven't thought it all through yet.
Tad: No, no, you haven't thought it -- that's the problem. Come on, think about what you're sacrificing. How long have you worked, how much have you sacrificed to make a life here?
Krystal: I know. I know it's a lot, Tad. But I want Jenny to know her mother and her father.
Tad: So do I.
Krystal: No Adam.
Tad: You're dreaming. It'll never work.
Krystal: Bottom line is I almost went back to the man who tried to sell our daughter. I am just as frightened of the fact that I love Adam as you are, Tad, and the only way I can guarantee that I won't be tempted by Adam again is to leave.
Zach: It's all right.
Greenlee: How do we know we got all the venom out?
Zach: We don't know.
Greenlee: Great. So what do we do now?
Zach: We calm down, relax.
Greenlee: It just really hurts. Can't we do anything more?
Zach: Just keep your hand below your heart. It's going to hurt for a while.
Greenlee: Yeah, well, it already does. Hey, Sticks, I'm coming with you, probably!
Zach: You're not dying.
Greenlee: I am dying, just not right now. It's going to be slow and painful.
Zach: Ok. There. Here you go. Quid courage.
Greenlee: A little too late.
Greenlee: Hmm --
Zach: You were brave.
Greenlee: Yeah, right. I was scared, I still am, scared out of my mind.
Zach: It's over.
Greenlee: Yeah, until more of his friends show up.
Zach: I'll keep an eye out.
Greenlee: Well, can you just get rid of him already?
Zach: Can't do that.
Zach: He's dinner.
Adam: Krystal loves me. She's not going to just walk away from that after everything I've done to prove my love for her.
J.R.: You're can throw that away in a second if you charge over there and pull something.
Adam: I'm not going to let Tad Martin keep me away from the woman I love. She feels the same way.
J.R.: If it comes down between you and Jenny, who do you think she's going to pick?
Adam: She's not going to have to pick anything. I'll make sure she doesn't lose a thing.
J.R.: If you're the reason she loses Jenny, she'll blame you.
Adam: Yeah, well, she's not going to lose anything. No, it's not going to happen.
J.R.: Why? Why? What are you going to do, Dad? Are you going to come up with a scheme, like you did with me? Going to have Tad get crazy and locked up in Oak Haven, just so she can have full custody?
Adam: I have other methods.
J.R.: I doubt that Krystal will go along with any one of them. She has a conscience.
Adam: I have to do something.
J.R.: Then why not try something that you're not used to doing? Like be selfless, Dad? If you really care about Krystal, why not do what's best for her?
Adam: Yes, a life with me with her child. That would be the best.
J.R.: No, no, do not put her in a position to choose. Let her go.
Krystal: I am leaving Pine Valley and Adam Chandler behind, end of story.
Tad: It's not. It's not the end of the story. At most, it's the beginning of chapter two. Look, no matter what you do, and no matter how far you go, you're still going to be in love with him. I know how powerful a great love is. I know what it's like to lose it, to want it back, to -- to be unable to pull away. What's more important, I know what Adam's going to do the second we run.
Krystal: He won't find us.
Tad: Oh, no.
Krystal: He won't. We'll be in some small town --
Tad: Sweetheart, he'll find us. Oh, he will find us. No matter how long it takes, no matter how much money he has to spend, he will find us. He will not give up.
Krystal: Neither will I.
Tad: What kind of life is that going to be for our daughter? Hmm? Growing up, two paranoid parents looking over their shoulder every day. Hell, we didn't even do anything wrong.
Krystal: Really? I was married to Adam, I sleep with you, I have this baby. I can't stay here, Tad.
Tad: Well, I can't pack up and run away from everything I know just to keep away from him.
Krystal: Ok, then what do we do?
Tad: For starters, you unpack. You're not leaving town -- not with me or Jenny.
Krystal: So you're saying you want a custody fight?
Tad: No, I don't want a -- no, I don't want anything like that. It's just that you and Adam aren't giving me a choice.
Krystal: Oh, I am giving you a choice -- that's just it.
Tad: No, no, Krystal. You love him, that's the fact. That's all she wrote. Now, look, now that Adam knows that, that gives him all the power he needs. He's going to keep it, too. He's going to do whatever he has to for as long as it takes to get you back under his roof. And once he does, I got to make sure that he doesn't get Jenny with you.
Krystal: No, no, no, he will never, ever get Jenny.
Tad: Damn right he won't, not if I have anything to say about it. Which is why we have to work it this way. We work out some kind of liberal visitation agreement, ok?
Krystal: Whoa, whoa -- "visitation"? Are you kidding? It's my daughter!
Tad: To keep him away from Jenny!
Krystal: I tried to work this out with you, Tad.
Tad: What, you call running away for the rest of our lives because of Adam working it out?
Krystal: Ok, fine. Fine, Tad. We'll work it out in court. Is that what you want?
Tad: Look, what are you doing?
Krystal: I'm taking my daughter, and I'm going to Babe's house.
Tad: No, you're not.
Krystal: I can't stay here.
Tad: Krystal, you don't understand. You still don't get it. My daughter's not leaving this house.
Kendall: Ok, what is with the silence?
Ryan: How did this happen?
Kendall: What, Zach, Spike, Greenlee? I mean, where do we start?
Ryan: You loved Greenlee. I loved her.
Kendall: That was a long time ago.
Ryan: Was it? It's all gone to hell, though, hasn't it? All because I made a wrong decision. Zach made a wrong decision.
Kendall: Ryan, if it weren't for Zach, we -- we wouldn't have that little boy in there.
Ryan: I shouldn't have left. I shouldn't have left. I shouldn't have hid things from Greenlee. It hurt her, and honestly, she didn't deserve that.
Kendall: Yeah, ok, that might be true, but you know what? She did her fair share of hurting us back.
Ryan: Do you regret what you did, Kendall?
Kendall: Ryan, I almost backed off a bunch of times. Every time I thought about the -- the amazing friendship that Greenlee and I once had. But then, I would look at Spike, our innocent son. I mean, he -- he -- he didn't ask for any of this. He -- he's just -- he's just an innocent little boy. I mean -- and he just had surgery to get his hearing back again because of what Greenlee did to him.
Ryan: And you can't forget that?
Kendall: No. I will never forget the pain that she caused our son.
Quentin: What makes you think you know me?
Aidan: I know the training you went through in the military. All right? They break you down, and then they build you back up.
Quentin: To the left.
Aidan: You become a self-reliant machine. Have to shut down all your feelings.
Quentin: Thanks for the couch talk, Dr. Shrink.
Aidan: No, those missions that we went through were dangerous, all right? You can't bring your emotions to the job.
Quentin: You might want to remember that.
Aidan: This isn't a job for me.
Quentin: This grid's cashed.
Aidan: You can't let your training become your life.
Quentin: I'll remember that.
Aidan: You don't have to shut down on whatever you don't want to deal with, either.
Quentin: Because you were there, right?
Aidan: Yeah. Yeah, I was.
Quentin: Look, you don't know me. You don't know jack about me.
Aidan: Look, isolation worked for me, too -- for a while. But then, you just -- you just can't give up, all right?
Quentin: Let me guess. Clouds parted, a light came up.
Aidan: I was lonely, too, mate. Ok?
Quentin: You're wrong about me, man.
Aidan: Hang on, man. There's something here. Give me a hand with this.
Ryan: It takes all of my strength not to think about Greenlee when I look at Spike.
Kendall: How can you?
Ryan: Because I can hear him laugh and, you know, I tickle him until he smiles. We do stuff together, we eat cookies together, you know?
Kendall: It's not that easy. I mean, when -- when Spike got out of the operating room today --
Ryan: Kendall, Spike will hear again. He will hear again, but Greenlee -- I think she's been punished pretty harshly. You know, and now, she's God knows where.
Kendall: She's with Zach. Wherever he is, Zach is surviving. He is out there, and he is coming back home to us. He is definitely coming back to us -- he has to, he's going to.
Ryan: Ok, I -- I didn't mean to get you all worked up, ok?
Kendall: Ok, well, then don't -- then don't, ok?
Ryan: All right, ok, ok. I'm just curious.
Kendall: About what?
Ryan: If Greenlee walked through that door right now, what would you do? What would you say to her?
Kendall: I don't know, Ryan. I honestly don't know.
Aidan: Hey, we're almost there, almost there.
Quentin: What is this?
Aidan: I don't know. But I want to go down there. Here, quick -- give me the rope.
Quentin: Repel into a hole? You think they fell in there?
Aidan: It's possible. Come on.
Greenlee: No way am I eating snake.
Zach: You need the protein.
Greenlee: You know, reptile just -- it doesn't go with my diet of dirt and water.
Zach: You're eating it.
Greenlee: No, you just -- you go to town, ok? I'm going to -- is there any more booze left?
Zach: No, it's all gone.
Greenlee: Great. Party's over. Oh.
Zach: Hey, Greenlee?
Greenlee: Yeah? I just can't -- I can't breathe, Zach.
Zach: Come on.
Greenlee: No, there's no air.
Zach: Squeeze my hand.
Zach: You can do this.
Greenlee: Damn you. Damn you for saving me. Damn you for taking that poison out of my body. You just should've left him in there. You just should've left -- you should've let me die.
Krystal: You can't stop me from taking my daughter to Babe's.
Tad: Watch me. Besides, if you walk out of this house with her, how long do you think it's going to be before Adam manipulates you back into that mausoleum?
Krystal: Nobody manipulates me, Tad, not even you.
Tad: Krystal, you can go, but Jenny's staying.
Krystal: What part of "I'm her mama" don't you understand?
Tad: You didn't get to be her mama by yourself.
Krystal: I am leaving, and my daughter is going with me.
Tad: Our daughter is staying right here.
Krystal: You don't want to do this, Tad.
Tad: No, I don't. But that doesn't mean I won't do it.
Krystal: You have no right to keep me away from my daughter!
Tad: My lawyer knows every greasy thing that's happened between you and Adam. He knows every despicable thing that Adam has done. All I got to do is make one phone call, and a petition for temporary custody will be in his hand.
Krystal: You son of a -- my daughter needs me. Don't you dare stop me from going to her. It's ok. It's ok, baby. All right, come here, baby. I know, I know. Mama's here, baby. Shh, shh, shh. Mama's here.
Adam: Tad's the one making her miserable.
J.R.: Are you kidding me? Tad has lost more than anyone.
Adam: Oh, that's open to debate.
J.R.: He lost Dixie -- again. Jamie's halfway around the world playing doctor.
J.R.: He lost Kate in some adoption black hole. Kate would be 6 years old. I doubt he's ever going to find her. But he does have Jenny, and he needs to hold on to her.
Adam: Kate -- sweet, dear sweet Kate. She's -- could be anywhere.
J.R.: Yeah, don't pretend like you care.
Adam: Fine, fine. But we've talked this Martin thing to death.
J.R.: And Tad will fight to the death over his daughter.
Adam: Yes, I'm sure he will -- for both of them.
J.R.: You're stupid if you go up against him -- crazy stupid!
Adam: Yeah, Barry? Barry, it's me. What do you have on baby Kate?
Barry: My trip to New Mexico has been very enlightening.
Adam: I don't need a travelogue, just some facts.
Barry: That girl, the one on the document? She was legally adopted by the Mershons in Albuquerque.
Adam: This Kathleen?
Barry: Yes. Yes, they got her from Switzerland, all facilitated by Dr. Greg Madden.
Adam: And the dates match up?
Barry: Exactly. Kathleen Mershon was born the day Dixie gave birth to Kate. They're one and the same.
Adam: You're positive?
Barry: Oh, yes.
Adam: Well, well, so Tad and Dixie's daughter is Kathleen. Barry, you have made my day.
Barry: Well, you know the Mershons are deceased.
Adam: Yes, I understand that -- car accident, tragic. And Julia Santos is raising little Kathy now -- little does she know. You haven't seen or heard of Tad fishing around out there, have you?
Barry: No, no. I don't see how he could. Madden covered his tracks. Unless you had the child's name, there's no way you could find her.
Adam: Tad has no idea how close he is.
Tad: Here, come on. She needs to get some sleep. Let me take her.
Krystal: Oh, it's ok. It's ok, baby. Go with Daddy, ok? Go with Daddy. Good night, honey. Mama loves you, more than anything.
Krystal: I know. More than anything.
Tad: Come on, honey. Come on. Let's go upstairs. Let's go upstairs. Come here, doll. All right.
Krystal: This is not over, Tad. Baby
[As soon as Tad takes the baby upstairs, Krystal leaves the house.]
Zach: Don't give up now.
Greenlee: What's the point? I die from a snake bite or suffocation or starvation. It's all the same.
Zach: Come on, we've worked too hard. We're not giving up now. Come on.
Greenlee: All I've done my whole life is fight. It's old and I am tired.
Zach: We're here because we worked together. We're alive because we worked together, and now we got to stick together.
Greenlee: Great -- "stick together." Go team.
Zach: Hey. You're not giving yourself enough credit. You're smart and you're very strong. You've impressed me down here. Don't let me down now. Come on. Get it together. Stay strong. I'm not losing you.
Kendall: There's no voicemail at the -- the land line at the shack.
Ryan: Well, what about his cell?
Kendall: There's no service out there, and Aidan told me he would call me with any news.
Ryan: Ok, well, there's -- there's an ice storm coming. He probably is just stepping up the search before it hits. That's all.
[Knock on door]
Kendall: Oh -- no. Joe.
Kendall: Hi, hi.
Joe: Hope I'm not interrupting anything
Kendall: No, no. Come on.
Ryan: No! No, it's ok. Have you come to check up on Spike?
Joe: Yeah, well, how is he doing?
Kendall: Well, he is still out like a light.
Ryan: Yeah, thank you for everything, Joe.
Joe: Mm-hmm. Well, I'm glad I found you two together because there is something we need to discuss.
Kendall: Is -- is it about Spike? Is he ok?
Joe: It's something we found out in Spike's post-op test results. It concerns his deafness.
Adam: Ah. I have something that might interest you.
Tad: I doubt it. Why don't you take your wheelbarrow full of lies to somebody out there who will listen.
Adam: No, once you've heard it, you may think twice about suing for custody of Jenny.
Tad: Really? Oh, don't tell me, you're -- you're leaving town, you're moving out of the country?
Adam: No, something even better.
Tad: Adam, what could you possibly know that would interest me?
Kendall: Surgery didn't work? Spike won't hear again?
Joe: No, no, nothing like that. As far as we know, the procedure was a success.
Kendall: Ok, well, then --
Ryan: Well, then what's wrong?
Joe: And we are still optimistic about Spike's prognosis.
Kendall: Well, what did the tests say? I mean, is -- is there something else wrong with him?
Joe: There's nothing wrong. This has to do with the cause of Spike's deafness. You see, one of the things we discovered in the test is that Spike's loss of hearing is what we call nonsyndromic.
Ryan: Well, what does that mean?
Joe: Spike has had a mutation, a spontaneous chromosomal mutation of the 35 deletion G gene.
Ryan: Wow. Well, English, please, Joe.
Joe: I know, I know, but what that means is this -- that Spike's loss of hearing was not caused by the car accident.
Kendall: What? I -- I don't understand.
Joe: No one is to blame for your son's deafness. It would've happened regardless.
Zach: Keep pressure on that wound.
Greenlee: Yeah, you keep digging. There's an ER bed with my name on it. Hey, wait -- stop. Do you hear that?
Greenlee: Listen. I hear something.
Greenlee: Wait -- shh.
Aidan: You ready? On three, all right?
Aidan: One, two, three.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Adam (to Tad): How would you like it if I helped you find Kate?
Kendall (to Erica and Ryan): I ruined Greenlee's life and now life is paying me back. I'm the one who may have killed my husband.
Greenlee: Zach, we have to stop it. Oh, no, oh, no!
