Tad: Anything new?
Jack: Yeah, I wouldn't mind hearing the answer to that question myself.
Derek: There's no new leads on your daughter.
Jack: And no lethal force used against her -- we still have that agreement, yes?
Derek: The orders are still in effect. We may have the car that hit Slater.
Tad: What do you mean, "may have"?
Derek: There's blood on the seat.
Hannah: Well, is it Zach's blood?
Derek: We're testing it now.
Julia: Excuse me? Um -- I should remind you there is a C-H-I-L-D at the table.
Tad: Oh, ok. Yeah, ix-nay on the gore.
Kathy: What's gore?
Sean: Uh, creepy stuff like in scary movies.
Tad: Like in all the really, really scary parts -- like when the vampire swoops in on his unsuspecting victim, makes her his next meal like this.
[Kathy giggles as Tad kisses her neck]
Adam: I'm not going to let him bait me, because I'm much too happy to be here with you.
Colby: Hey, where's Little A?
J.R.: I wish he could be here, but he's with his mom. He had another turkey bash to go to.
Babe: This is like a science experiment. Richie's the lab rat, and I'm the cheese at the end of the maze. You know, the last time you invited Richie over for dinner, you staged your own shooting death.
Ryan: We're just trying to protect our family, and we're trying to do that the best way that we know how.
Babe: By using me, right? Ok, what's the real plan, Ryan? I do have a right to know and please don't say "by making Richie feel more comfortable," because there's obviously more to it than that.
Jonathan: Is everything ok?
Ava: No, and I'm sure it's me.
Myrtle: Oh, sorry, darling -- it's just me.
[Kendall walks into her living room with Ian in her arms]
Myrtle: Oh. Oh.
Zach: Is there anybody out there? We need help.
Richie: [Disguised voice] Is somebody down there?
Zach: Yeah, there's -- there's two of us trapped down here. We -- we need help to get out.
Greenlee: Please! Help us!
Zach: We need help.
Richie: [Disguised voice] The clanging's coming through loud and clear -- ahem. Don't worry. Help's on the way. Just so I know who I'm talking to, clang once if you're Zach Slater.
Richie: Don't worry, Mr. Slater. Your wife is going to be very relieved. She's been running us ragged like you wouldn't believe.
Zach: Kendall's -- Kendall's got to be so worried right now.
Greenlee: Oh. And, believe it or not, there's people worried about me, too.
[Aidan walks around the empty cabin remembering happier times with Greenlee]
Myrtle: I just couldn't sit in the house and wait for our guy to come home.
Kendall: Well, I'm really glad you're here, and I know Zach would be.
Erica: And, honey, I think that Myrtle needs an introduction.
Myrtle: Oh, yes.
Kendall: That's right. Come on. Excuse me, Mr. Spikey.
Erica: Here, Mr. Spikey. Come here, Mr. Spikey. Come on over here.
Myrtle: Oh. Oh.
Kendall: Myrtle, say hello to Mr. Ian Slater.
Myrtle: Hello, handsome.
Kendall: Ian, say hello to your fairy godmother.
Myrtle: That works.
Myrtle: Welcome home, little one. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Kendall: That's right, that's right. This is your home. This is where your big brother Spikey lives --
Kendall: You can hear him. And this is where your mom and dad live. Yeah. You see that oak tree out there? See that oak tree?
Myrtle: Hmm, hmm, hmm.
Kendall: Well, there's a pond behind there and that is where your daddy will teach you to play hockey when it freezes over -- huh.
Kendall: You know, this is the day that your dad waited for. He couldn't wait to bring you home. And I promise you, no matter where he is, he's working real hard to get to us. Right?
Myrtle: Oh, that little fist is so tiny.
Babe: Look, Ava, you're right about the tension, but it's -- it's just about Annie, Ryan, and me, ok? Please don't take it personally.
Jonathan: Have I ever shown you the view of the park from this balcony? Come here. It's amazing.
Ava: I've seen the park.
Jonathan: Well, you're going to see it again.
Ava: Are you guys fighting?
Ryan: Look, Babe, we're not going to pull anything on Richie -- no surprises here, no handcuffs.
Annie: Yeah -- I mean, our kids are here today. We wouldn't do anything to upset Emma any more than you would Little A.
Babe: I know you wouldn't, but things have just been so crazy between you and your brother, I'm never sure what you're going to do.
Annie: Look, the good Richie, the brother I used to love -- I haven't seen him in years, until the other day. His eyes lit up, and he had a huge grin -- he was talking about you, Babe. He was happy, genuinely happy.
Babe: Well, maybe if you'd just let Richie be Richie and stop expecting the worst --
Ryan: Do you honestly think it's that simple?
Annie: Maybe for Babe, it is. I can honestly say that Richie being Richie is exactly what this dinner's about.
Ava: Why do you think they're fighting?
Jonathan: I would say that they are talking about Richie.
Ava: That could be.
Jonathan: And by traditional Lavery standards, what's going on there does not rank as a fight, because my old man would've been throwing the turkey against the wall by now and knocking over the Christmas tree.
Ava: Yeah, well, my mom just skipped the whole food part together, but her eggnog -- that was lethally spiked. By the third glass, she couldn't even handle a fork and a knife. I'd be starving, so I'd just get one of those frozen turkey pot pies and pop them in the oven and eat it alone in my room.
Jonathan: Hey. No more turkey pot pies. Ok? I'm going to wine and dine you on the holidays. We are going to deck the halls, we are going to play all the music. We are going to be happy people, you and I, ok? You, beaming.
Ava: Sounds like kind of an old movie.
Jonathan: "Ava's Excellent Holiday."
Ava: "Ava and Jonathan's Excellent Holiday" -- huh. You know, frozen turkey pot pies wouldn't have been so bad if I could've shared them with you.
Ava: What -- what's up?
Jonathan: I was going to ask you the same thing. Where did that come from?
Ava: What -- "Jonathan and Ava's Excellent Future"?
Jonathan: "Future"? That's all that was on your mind?
Ava: If you're digging for something, just come out and ask me.
Jonathan: You and J.R. -- what's going on?
Amanda: So, how's the cafeteria food?
Janet: Everything tastes the same here -- huh -- except today is going to be delicious, because you are here to share it with me.
Amanda: Well, I had to spend Thanksgiving with my mother.
Janet: Thanksgiving? Is that today?
Amanda: Mom, there are decorations all over the place. How could you forget it's the holiday?
Janet: Um -- well, short-term memory loss is one of the side effects of this new drug that I'm taking.
Amanda: Ok, maybe they should change your medication.
Janet: I've been on a lot of drugs. Um -- one just made me cry all the time and the other ones had some complications that I -- I can't recall. No, I'm going to stick with this one -- no delusions. I am a little forgetful, but I am sane. Now, so, tell me -- how are you, my sweet, sweet angel? Are you happy? Are you carefree? Are you having fun?
Amanda: Uh -- I was for a while, but -- now, not so much.
Janet: Well, that's just no good. We need to change that.
Amanda: I guess I'm just lonely, Mother.
Joe: And we give thanks most of all for our loved ones -- those who are here with us today and those who are not. And those who live on in our memory. May they nourish our hearts for the rest of our lives.
Opal: Well, I am grateful that I am a single gal, but I am also glad that my ex is still kicking.
Opal: No, no, not -- not for my sake, but just for my youngest, who is sharing his turkey today with his ornery old dad.
Ruth: Oh, hmm.
Krystal: Well, let me tell you something -- there are a couple of people here that would rather strangle each other than share a bowl of peas. I am grateful that those two nameless hardheaded people have decided to declare a truce for the day.
Colby: Well, I'd have to say I'm with you on that, and I am grateful for our baby Jenny, the sweetest baby in the world.
Tad: I'll second that.
Julia: I am grateful for my Kathy.
Hannah: Well, I am thankful for celebrating this holiday for the first time in, oh, I don't even know how long it's been, among people who really do care for each other instead of in a hotel alone in Hong Kong.
Lily: I'm thankful for my sister, Ava, that I found her and that she's happy. Even though there's less than a 14% chance that I'll be happy like her, I'm thankful that Ava found Jonathan and that Jonathan found Ava.
Jack: And I'm so thankful for my daughter Lily and her unbelievable generosity and kindness. And for my daughter Greenlee, I just pray that God gives her all the strength she'll need to return safely to us.
Adam: I'm thankful for my son. A year ago, he was lying near death. I'm grateful for his miraculous recovery in addition to his year of sobriety.
Kendall: We hope really hard maybe your daddy will walk right through that door.
Kendall: Huh -- yeah. You are -- you're amazing. You're a wonderful brother and a great uncle.
Josh: Well, I'm also a psychic brother-in-law. I know how Zach would want this day to play out, and I just thought I'd fill in till he gets back.
Myrtle: Zach would approve of that, darling.
Erica: Thank you.
Zach: Is anybody up there? Ahem.
Greenlee: Is anybody up there? He probably just went to get help like he said.
Zach: I hope he called Kendall.
Greenlee: I'm sure he called Kendall, and you'll be fine enough, but me, I'm --
Zach: What is it, huh? What is it now? You're being rescued.
Greenlee: No, no -- you're being rescued, I'm a fugitive.
Zach: Well, you're alive -- take some solace in that.
Greenlee: Yeah, I'm alive. I'm alive but running, always running because of you and your wife.
Zach: Always somebody else's fault, never yours, is it?
Greenlee: You know, they're going to come, they're going to bring you back to your happy little family, but I'm getting carted right back to jail.
Babe: I don't like being played. You guys used me to reel Richie in and encouraged him to be a part of a family again.
Annie: We are Richie's family.
Ryan: Speak for yourself -- I see him as a threat.
Babe: Finally, the truth. Well, guess what -- I'm not going to help you.
Annie: Yes, you are.
Ryan: Oh. Look, Babe, you chose to be here, all right? I mean, obviously you like Richie, but I think deep down, you have doubt. I mean, you know that Annie and I aren't the crazy ones.
Babe: Don't be so sure.
Ryan: And if we're not, that makes Richie the crazy one.
Babe: And you think I'm the one to help you get him? You want me to spy on him and -- and dig into his life? No, forget it.
Annie: Babe, we just want to know if Richie is planning revenge against our family, and if so, what's his plan? I mean, how are you going to feel if we're right about this? And -- and you didn't help us and then he ends up destroying our family?
Ava: I'm sorry. I don't understand why you're worrying about J.R. right now.
Jonathan: Because I heard that he was bugging you the other day at The Comeback bar.
Ava: So what? He always bugs me.
Jonathan: Ok, he always bugs you, but you didn't mention it to me and when I showed up, you seemed off to me, so are you sure that he's just bugging you?
Ava: Yeah. Yeah, and he's pissed that his Ava Network is dead in the water. But, look, I don't care -- I say "J.R. who?"
Amanda: Something wrong with your spoon?
Janet: I'm just contemplating the shape. Bad train of thought. What were we talking about before they brought the food?
Amanda: Nothing much.
Janet: No. You were saying that you were lonely. Now, are those fools treating you poorly?
Amanda: No, Mom, not at all. I just miss you, that's all.
Janet: Well, you could come visit me every day. I don't suppose that would be very practical. Why didn't Jamie drive you?
Amanda: Jamie's in Africa. He and I ended up friends -- just friends, remember?
Janet: No, but I'm sure I should. I'm sure that I should. Are you dating anybody?
Amanda: No one worth mentioning.
Janet: Sweetheart, you can confide in me. I am fully medicated now. I'm not going to go out and dismember a man just because he let you down.
Amanda: I sort of got involved with J.R.
Janet: J.R. Chandler?
Amanda: He and Babe are over.
Janet: Because of you?
Amanda: No, not at all. I didn't start seeing J.R. until after he and Babe had broken up. Anyway, I ended up royally trashed.
Janet: What did the stinker do?
Amanda: Something totally classic, something that I would've been able to predict if I'd had any sense.

J.R.: What'd I miss?
Adam: My sobriety salute. I shouldn't -- I should've waited to tell you that in private. I'm sorry I violated your privacy.
J.R.: No, no, that's ok. I'm a drunk -- everybody knows it.
Adam: No, no, no. No, you're not. You're a very strong man who fought very hard against an addiction, and your success makes me proud.
J.R.: Yeah, what about my failures? Huh? No, not so much? I believe your exact words were "weak, pathetic, unfit." Yeah, there was one more -- what was it? "A spineless wimp."

Kendall: That's right.
Myrtle: Darling, I smell trouble.
Erica: I can't lie to you, can I, Myrtle? Look, Jack and I are going through a -- a rough spot right now on top of everything else. Are we going to get through this, Myrtle?
Myrtle: Oh, darling, of course, we are. Of course we are.

Zach: I guess they didn't think of accessories in the wake of a nuclear attack.

Greenlee: You know, I am a burn victim -- you and Kendall torched my life.
Zach: Not again -- please shut up.
