Erica: I am so thrilled that Celine's agreed to be part of our Thanksgiving show.
Pam: Yes, it's quite a coup.
Erica: Mm-hmm. Celine --
Erica: Oh, thank you so much for agreeing to be part of our Thanksgiving show.
Celine: Thank you for inviting me.
Celine: Mm-hmm. I heard about your family -- Kendall. How's she bearing up?
Erica: As well as can be expected. We are all just trying to persevere.
Celine: Hmm. The show must go on.
Erica: The show must go on.
Krystal: Hey. Ok. Yes, I know. I know it's early, sugar doll, and I don't know who got less sleep, you or me. But it's Thanksgiving, yeah, the day we say "Thank you" for our blessings, because it's important to say thank you. Yes, it is. Oh. Even when you're on your knees saying --
Kendall's voice: Please, God, Zach's out there, and he needs me, our family, our boys, as much as they need their daddy. Please, God, look after him. Keep my husband safe. Watch over him until we find him.
[Richie searches the woods for Zach]
Kendall's voice: You have saved me, Zach. You've rescued me how many times? It's my turn. I will find you, I'll save you, and I'll never let you go.
Krystal: Oh, honey, you're just in time. Here, help us wrap some of these sandwiches.
Babe: Hey, Mama, can I talk to you?
Krystal: Yeah. Sure. What's wrong? Is it -- is it Little A?
Babe: No, he's fine. I -- I just wanted to know if you'd be ok if Little A and I spent Thanksgiving with someone --
Krystal: Absolutely, honey. No, invite whoever you want here. There's plenty of food.
Babe: That's great of you, but --
Opal: Um -- is that soup ready in the kitchen, you think?
Krystal: Oh, yeah, Opal, it's on the stove, honey.
Opal: Oh, on the stove -- all right, I'll get it.
Krystal: Oh, I tell you what. Days like this, it just -- you have to be with your family. You know, you just want to hold on to your loved ones extra hard.
Babe: You're thinking about Kendall?
Krystal: Yeah. A mama with two babies, waiting for word on her husband. Wondering and worrying. I mean, it -- it just must be tearing Kendall up.
Kendall: Zach? Oh, it's you.
Ryan: I heard what happened.
Kendall: Yeah, so it's -- you want to go see Daddy? Go see Daddy.
Ryan: Come on.
Kendall: Is this where you tell me it's some kind of karma? Because of what happened to Greenlee? That Zach is missing, so we deserve it?
Ryan: Shh, shh. Come on.
Kendall: Ryan, what am I going to do?
Ryan: What do you mean? We're going to find him, that's what we're going to do.
Ryan: Yeah, we. I'm on my way to help the search right now.
Kendall: Thank you.
Ryan: What are you talking about, "Thank you"? We're still a family, Kendall -- you, Zach, me, and Annie, all right? Always. Now -- now, what happened? Have you talked to Derek? What -- what do you think happened?
Kendall: I think it was J.R.
Kendall: I don't know for sure, but I found a picture of him and Little Adam and Babe by Zach's car. Ryan, there was so much blood.
Ryan: That son of a bitch.
Kendall: Yeah, he didn't admit it, though. That's the thing. He says he doesn't remember anything, because he had been drinking again, and so he blacked out, and he won't tell me where his car is.
Ryan: Have you told Derek?
Kendall: Yes, of course I have, but we can't do anything until J.R.'s car is found, and until Zach is found.
Ryan: And Zach knows that Ian's going home today. He wouldn't miss this day for anything.
Kendall: This little guy is the promise that I made to Zach. A promise that we would have a future, and that nothing would ever hurt us again. I've kept my promise. Now it's time for Zach to keep his. He has to come home to us. He has to. He has to.
Second Man: Pull the van over here.
First Man: Call the chopper in.
Derek: Let's move north of the highway and down to the river. Time's critical.
Rescue worker: We'll put some speed on it.
Derek: Keep me posted.
Derek: You, I don't need.
Jack: Wait a minute, wait. What the hell are you doing?
Derek: Step off, Jack -- I have an injured man to look for.
Jack: And my daughter? What about her?
Derek: It's Thanksgiving. Go home and be thankful I didn't arrest you and Aidan for helping her escape. Let's move on!
Jack: Wait a minute.
Derek: The weather may not hold.
Jack: Wait a minute, wait a minute -- I want you to guarantee me that your men aren't going to hurt Greenlee.
Derek: You know that's the last thing I want.
Jack: I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about some trigger-happy rookie who thinks my daughter's armed and dangerous.
Derek: We don't know what really happened out here, Jack. Not yet.
Richie: Where the hell are you, Slater? You're already half-dead. Tell me I have the sense God gave a dog. Tell me you dragged yourself in the woods to die.
Greenlee: Oh. No. No, no, no, no.
Greenlee: This day keeps getting better and better. Oh.
Greenlee: Zach -- oh, damn it. You're burning up. Oh.
Babe: Hey, about dinner -- I just wanted to tell you --
Krystal: Listen, honey, I know. Look, could you help Opal with that?
Krystal: It's right over there.
Krystal: Thanks, honey.
Tad: Hey, Krystal? Considering everything that's going on, I'm just going to have a quick bite and go help the search, ok?
Krystal: Oh, absolutely.
Tad: Ok. Hey, hey, hey, hey, Mom.
Opal: Oh. I'm so glad you got here.
Tad: Happy Thanksgiving, Mama.
Ruth: Happy Thanksgiving, my sweetheart.
Opal: Listen, somebody said Adam was coming today?
Tad: Uh -- yeah, that's right. We're just one big happy family.
Krystal: Listen, Adam is Colby and J.R.'s father, and Colby would be crushed if she couldn't spend this day with him.
Opal: Well --
Krystal: Ok, we need more coffee.
Opal: How's -- how's that going?
Ruth: It's going to be a long day.
Opal: Oh, speak of the evil spirit himself.
Adam: I've got -- brought a little -- little something for Jenny.
Adam: Hope she likes ponies.
Babe: Oh, hey, Amanda. Happy Thanksgiving. Um -- J.R. told you about us?
Amanda: It's no big deal.
Babe: Look, Amanda, it was just a stupid one-night mistake --
Amanda: Look, I have someplace to be. I just came by to tell Krystal thanks for inviting me. So could you tell her for me?
Babe: Sure. Sure, Amanda.
Krystal: Tell you what -- whoever hit Zach has got to be a devil without a soul, but I'll tell you one thing -- I hope he has a shred of decency enough to hate himself.
Pam: Your intro for Ms. Dion. I just added a couple words about how amazing she is.
Erica: Oh, well that, she is.
Celine: Oh, thank you, Pam.
Erica: Oh, "magical," I see that, and you are certainly magical, and we could certainly use some magic today.
Celine: I'll do my very best.
Erica: I know you will. Ah, do I have a minute?
Pam: That's about all you have.
Erica: You should get ready.
Erica: Jack --
Jack: Erica, I'm kind of busy right now -- I'm searching.
Erica: Oh, I know you're searching. I know you're searching for Greenlee, and has there been any word on Greenlee or Zach?
Erica: Well, I'm sure they'll both be found very soon, Jack.
Jack: Yeah -- look, was there anything else you wanted?
Erica: Will you join me -- us on Thanksgiving? It would really mean a great deal.
Jack: You really need to ask?
Erica: Well, I didn't want to just assume -- I mean, not after all that's happened.
["New Beginnings" theme plays]
Jack: Yeah, look, Erica, I -- I need to go.
Erica: Yes, I understand. Ok, I'm ready.
Pam: Let's do this.
Erica: Thank you. Thank you. Oh, thank you. Thank you so much. What a fabulous audience. Thank you. Thank you so very much to all of you for joining me on this very special day of celebration and hope, a day when family and friends gather together to share and to give thanks. And for all of you out there who cannot be with your loved ones today -- just know that they hold you in their hearts and in their thoughts and in their prayers. And so, in honor of this very special day, I have a very special guest for you. My gift to you -- Ms. Celine Dion.
Celine: Thank you. Thank you so much.
Erica: Welcome. Welcome, Celine.
Celine: Thank you.
Erica: It is so great of you to spend the holiday with us.
Celine: Thank you, Erica. I would like to echo your beautiful words with some of my own. Today is a good day to give thanks to people we love, for sharing their hearts with all of us. I hope this new song will, in some small way, touch the hearts of all of us.
Erica: And will you sing it for us?
Celine: Of course.
[Cheers and applause]
Celine: Thank you.
Celine: Don't know much about your life, don't know much about your world, but don't want to be alone tonight on this planet they call earth. You don't know about my past, and I don't have a future figured out, and maybe this is going too fast, and maybe it's not meant to last. What do you say to taking chances? What do you say to jumping off the edge? Never knowing if there's solid ground below or hand to hold or hell to pay. What do you say? What do you say? I just want to start again, and maybe you could show me how to try. Maybe you could take me in, somewhere underneath your skin. What do you say to taking chances? What do you say to jumping off the edge? Never knowing if there's solid ground below or hand to hold or hell to pay. What do you say? What do you say? After I had my heart beaten down, but I always come back for more, yeah. There's nothing like love to pull you up when you're laying down on the floor, yeah. So talk to me, talk to me like lovers do. Yeah, walk with me, walk with me like lovers do, like lovers do. What do you say to taking chances? What do you say to jumping off the edge? Never knowing if there's solid ground below or hand to hold or hell to pay. What do you say? What do you say? Don't know much about your life, and I don't know much about your world ♪
[Cheers and applause]
Richie: You can't just disappear.
Richie: Come out, come out, wherever you are.
Kendall: Derek -- Derek, any news on Zach?
Derek: I'm sorry.
Ryan: Did you try the hospitals again?
Derek: We have every ER in the state on alert. We'll find your husband.
Kendall: Ok, well -- well, what about J.R.? Any news on him?
Derek: I have men looking for his car. If J.R. did hit Zach, we'll nail him to the wall.
Tad: Ah! What's wrong? You swallow a wishbone or something?
J.R.: No, I just -- uh -- well, I've been -- got a lot on my mind right now.
Tad: Yeah, obviously. You want -- want to talk about it?
Tad: Oh. Ok. Well, in honor of the holiday, I think I should tell you how proud I am of you. You're doing great. You know, you're sober, you're -- you're a fabulous father to Little Adam. You know, you're getting along with Babe, and I think you're finally learning to open up to people.
J.R.: Thanks, Tad.
Tad: Are you sure you don't want to talk about whatever it is?
J.R.: Look, I appreciate the concern, but I'm great.
J.R.: You know, I've never been better.
Tad: Come on, J.R. Don't do this. Don't start closing down on people who care. That takes you to very dangerous places. Everybody knows it.
J.R.: I'm not going to any dangerous places, and you can bet on that.
Babe: Mama, I really should go.
Krystal: Well, yeah, go ahead. Just hurry on back with Little A and your friends, ok?
Babe: No, Mama, that's what I've been trying to tell you. I'm not having Thanksgiving here.
Krystal: But I -- I thought --
Babe: Little A and I are going to have Thanksgiving with Annie, Ryan, and Emma.
Babe: Richie invited me.
Tad: Hey, good looking.
Hannah: Hi. Krystal invited me, so if you're uncomfortable with it, just --
Tad: No, no, no. I'm glad you're here. Happy Thanksgiving.
Hannah: Thank you.
Tad: Listen, for what it's worth -- whatever is going on with the Grinch over there, don't let it get to you, ok?
Hannah: Yeah. I didn't know he was going to be here. But then, why would I? I mean, you're the only one who knows that I'm his corporate spy.
Tad: And I'm the only one who's going to know it, ok? I keep my word because you kept yours. You didn't rat out Greenlee or Aidan to Zach. I appreciate that.
Hannah: Is there any news?
Tad: No, they're still looking.
Hannah: It's just hard to celebrate knowing that Zach's out there somewhere.
Tad: But there are still some things to be thankful for, like the fact that my date just turned up. Excuse me.
Tad: Hey. Ah, ah, ah!
Tad: Good for you.
Krystal: You are absolutely, completely not going to spend this holiday with Richie Novak. That man is dangerous.
Babe: Mama --
J.R.: Hey, what's up? So where's Little A?
Babe: I -- I was just telling Mama that Annie invited Little A and I to spend Thanksgiving with them, so if you have a problem with that, just --
J.R.: No, no, that's great. That's -- that's great. Little A's got a crush on Emma, anyway.
Babe: Great, thank you.
Krystal: J.R., Little A is so looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with you.
J.R.: No, no, that -- that's all right. I'll -- I'll catch up with him later.
Babe: See, Mama? Everybody's happy.
Krystal: But he's not going to be with you, J.R.
J.R.: Krystal, it's fine. He's going to be with his mom. He's going to be perfectly fine and safe.
Babe: Thanks again, ok?
J.R.: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Babe: I am going to go grab Little A from Winnie, and, you know, we're already running late, so I'll see you later.
Krystal: Babe --
Kendall: Ryan, it's so cold and gray out here. I mean, to be out here somewhere alone and lost -- it must be horrible.
Ryan: We can't think like that, all right? We have to believe that he's going to find his way back. We have to.
Greenlee: Ok, Zach, please, wake up. Wake up, wake up. Reality's got to be a hell of a lot better than whatever nightmare you're having. Actually, on second thought -- finally. Listen, you have to stay awake.
Zach: What are you doing?
Greenlee: I'm cooling you down. You have a fever, ok?
Greenlee: No, Zach. Shut up, lie back, and let me help you.
Zach: What are we going to drink when we run out of water?
Greenlee: Chill, ok? We don't need water, because we're getting out of here today. Now, lay down.
[Richie coughs and falls as he walks in the woods]
Man: You don't belong here.
Kendall: We have a big turkey. No drumsticks for you, though. Zach has dibs.
Ryan: I always figured him for a leg man.
Kendall: I wonder if Ian will be like his dad.
Ryan: A leg man?
Kendall: No, I mean -- will he throw marshmallows instead of eating them? God, Ryan, this is so -- this is so unfair. Ian is coming home today. He's coming home today and his daddy is not there -- the daddy who fought for him and willed him to stay alive until he was big enough and strong enough to come home, and he's not there now. This is wrong. This is wrong! Please, please -- please bring him home safe. He needs to come home safe.
Man: What's your problem? You shouldn't be here.
Emma: I made this turkey special for Ava.
Annie: Is that a tattoo on the wing?
Annie: She's going to love it.
[Knock on door]
Celine: Thank you.
Erica: Oh, that was wonderful, Celine. Oh -- thank you so much.
Celine: Thank you, darling.
Erica: And I just know that the -- the message of taking chances is going to touch so many people in our audience.
Celine: Well, one of the reasons I chose this song was because I believe this is how we should live our lives.
Erica: I couldn't agree more. And I think so many people out there are going through difficult times, and they will find inspiration in this song. They could use it. We all could. Well, Happy Thanksgiving.
Celine: To all of you, too.
Jack: Are you ok here?
Lily: I'm just worried about Zach.
Jack: Yeah, well, I'm sure he'll turn up.
Lily: Your mouth is down, too. Are you worried about Greenlee?
Jack: Yes, I am, honey. I'm very worried about Greenlee.
Lily: And you're sad that Erica's not here.
Jack: There he is. Come here.
Sean: Jack, Happy Turkey Day.
Jack: How are you doing? How are you?
Colby: Hi. I'm fine. Oh, hey. I am so glad you are here, Dad.
Colby: You, too.
Adam: Oh, we didn't have much choice.
Colby: Oh, you know Dre and Ren, right?
Ren: Hey, what's up, Mr. C?
Adam: And I know free food.
Colby: Ahem. We're going to go to the movies later.
Adam: On Thanksgiving?
Ren: Today's, like, totally major. "The Mist," Stephen King?
Dre: Yeah, we already got the tickets.
Ren: Stephen King is the man.
Colby: Yeah --
[Colby makes ghostly sounds]
Adam: Ah, well, it's two thumbs up, I'm sure. Yes, I'm sure. Here -- the movie's on me -- for everyone.
Ren: Whoa. Thanks, dude.
Ren: Your dad is really cool.
Colby: Ah, thanks, Daddy.
Adam: You're welcome, sweetheart.
Tad: While you're at it, why don't you get yourself some popcorn?
Adam: I'll be testing the punch if anyone wants me.
Ren: All right.
Colby: Who knew?
Tad: Hi. Any word on Greenlee?
Jack: No, no, and Slater, either. It's like the earth swallowed them up, you know?
Tad: Oh, come on, keep the faith. They'll both turn up soon, I know they will.
Jack: Yeah, yeah. I'm counting on it, because when Slater gets back, I'm going to make sure that he and Kendall clear Greenlee's name, and then I'm going to put him in jail for torturing my daughter.
Tad: I know somebody who might want to help you with that.
Aidan: Greenlee! Greenlee! I'm looking for you. It's Aidan! Where are you? Greenlee!
Derek: The weather's going to get worse before it gets better. We're going to have to call off the search-and-rescue dogs. But don't worry. We'll keep at it. But you should go home.
Kendall: No, no. Derek, Zach could still be out here.
Derek: My crew will be out here all night. We won't stop looking.
Ryan: Derek is right, Kendall. He's right, ok? And, hey, isn't there somebody at the hospital that needs his mom right now? Come on.
Richie: Get up. Get up. You can do it. You can do this. Get up.
[During one of his stumbles, Richie sees a piece of paper on the ground]
Richie: Yes. You can't take it with you, right?
Greenlee: Zach, you've got to eat something.
Zach: I don't want the crackers.
Greenlee: You know it's Thanksgiving today.
Zach: Ian's coming home today. Been waiting for this day since he was born. Ok. Let's get out of here. I need your help. It's going to take both of us.
Greenlee: No -- right, right. Right, right, right. You know, you'll go back to your pretty little wife and your life and your babies, and me -- I'm going back to a jail cell, or life on the run, or --
Zach: Hey! I don't care about your pain. I've been waiting and praying and willing Ian to live, to get stronger, and to have a life, and this is it. His life starts today.
Kendall: How are my boys?
Josh: Raising the roof.
Josh: Oh, yeah.
Josh: Ready to go home.
Kendall: Right. Well, hello there, my sweet. Guess what, Ian. It is a big day for you. You get to go home. Yeah. Your dad and I -- we've been -- we've been waiting for this day for a long time. Yeah. It's just not exactly the way I planned it.
Erica: Well, we are going to take Ian home, we're going to get him all settled, and he's going to be so ready to greet Zach when he walks through the door. Right?
Kendall: You know, I have played this day in my head just a million times. Zach would have some goofy Red Wings hockey blanket, and he would wrap Ian in it --
Kendall: And bundle him up, and we'd take him home. And then Spike would be there waiting for us, and we'd really, truly be a family.
Joe: If you would like to wait on taking Ian home until Zach can be back with you, it's perfectly fine.
Kendall: No. Ian's my good-luck charm. If Ian and I go home, that means that Zach will find his way home, too.
Richie: Huh. Oh, you've got to be around here somewhere, Slater, and you've got to be close.
Richie: There's nowhere you can hide.
Aidan: Greenlee! It's Aidan! Can you hear me? Where are you?
Amanda: Happy Thanksgiving.
Janet: Oh, my Amanda --
Annie: Thanks for the champagne.
Babe: Thanks for the invitation. I have to admit, it was a surprise. Well, a shock, actually. So, what's with -- what's with the truce with you and Richie?
Annie: Hi. Um -- any news?
Ryan: They still haven't found Zach. But -- Happy Thanksgiving, anyway. Yeah. Is -- is Richie here?
Annie: Not yet. We actually were just talking about him.
Babe: And how surprised I was at the invite.
Ryan: Yeah, uh -- guess it probably seemed a little weird, huh?
Babe: Yeah. Try extremely. The last time I was here, you guys were warning me about Richie.
Ryan: Well, Annie and I had a little chat, and I guess in the spirit of the holidays, we thought we would give it a try.
Babe: Ok, so where do I fit in?
Annie: Um -- Richie likes you, and he's -- he's different when he's around you.
Ryan: Yeah, and -- and you get to him.
Babe: Oh. Oh, I get it. So if I "get to him," then maybe you can use me against him. Is that the plan?
Aidan: This is the last place I saw you, Greenlee. I'm going to find you.
Derek: Is it J.R. Chandler's car or not? So he was smart enough to take the plates off. Run the VIN number. What? You sure it's blood on the seat? Test it and get back to me as soon as you can.
Krystal: Oh, Derek! Oh, I'm so glad you made it. You're just in time. Let me get your coat.
Ruth: Oh, hi, darling.
Joe: Hi, sweetheart.
Ruth: Happy Thanksgiving.
Krystal: Ok, if everybody could find a seat, let's get this Thanksgiving dinner started.
Julia: Hey, Tad, your moms want you to sit with them.
Tad: Got it. I think you'll find there's a spare right over here.
Hannah: Thank you.
Colby: Come on.
J.R.: What's that for? Where -- where are --
Colby: Just come on.
Sean: Are those new sunglasses, Lily?
Colby: Your mommy's right here.
Krystal: Oh, yeah.
Kendall: Ok, sweet boy. You're going home. And if we're really, really lucky, Daddy will be there to greet us. You love your daddy, don't you? We all miss him.
[Richie pants, coughs]
Richie: You've got to be close.
[Debris falls into the bomb shelter]
Greenlee: Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God. Oh, someone's here, they found us -- we're saved!
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Jonathan (to Ava): You and J.R. -- what's going on?
Babe: I'm not going to help you.
Annie: Yes, you are.
Richie: Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. Slater. Your turkey's almost cooked.
