Greenlee: "I have to have Ryan's baby, I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen, no one is going to stop me."
Kendall: She still wants you, Spike.
Greenlee: "That child was my dream -- 'mine.'"
Kendall: Don't you worry, honey. Mama's going to take care of that crazy lady. I'm going to stop her. Don't you worry.
Greenlee: Wow, I just -- I sounded obsessed, didn't I? Oh --
Aidan: Um --
Greenlee: Why are you still here?
Aidan: I didn't think you were that bad.
Greenlee: Are you serious? "My embryos, Ryan's baby"? You were never tempted to bail?
Aidan: Nope. Not once -- can you believe it?
Greenlee: I was just -- I was chasing after something I didn't even want anymore.
Aidan: You know, I just -- I thought you were brilliant. You put J.R. back under that big rock.
Greenlee: Oh, my gosh, that smug little smile of his? I just wanted to smack him.
Aidan: You did -- well, I kind of already did that.
Greenlee: You hit him? Oh -- oh! You are my hero.
Greenlee: Yeah. God, to hell with J.R., to hell with Zach. I'm free because of you.
Aidan: No, you're free because you are too damn fierce to be messed with by those jerks. Plus, you are extremely hot, and I think this calls for celebration.
Greenlee: Really? Well, I think this is so big that it deserves a special ceremony.
Krystal: Yeah, number six, two cheeseburgers -- make that yesterday. And throw in a round of drinks for free.
Kyle: Should I serenade them, too?
Krystal: Yeah, yeah, a couple of jokes wouldn't hurt.
Babe: No, I served table six.
Krystal: Honey, you grabbed their order, and you chucked it right in the trash.
Babe: Oh, God, where is my brain?
J.R.: It's closed for repairs -- like my life. This whole day should've been scratched off my calendar.
Babe: What was that about, I wonder.
Krystal: What I'm wondering about is you, baby doll.
Zach: Did you bring the Fusion stock certificates?
J.R.: My day -- a nightmare. How about yours?
Zach: Did Greenlee agree to the trade or not?
J.R.: I had her. I swear, she was -- she was right there.
Zach: So the deal's off?
J.R.: She's a complete mess. She passed on her own embryos.
Krystal: What -- what is with you?
Babe: Brain fry. It happens.
Krystal: Ok, none of my business -- that's ok, but just do us both a favor. Why don't you go home, go to bed, and sleep it off -- whatever's chewing at you.
Babe: Too late for that.
Krystal: What'd you do?
Babe: I, uh, stuck myself in a family feud, ticked off both sides, made it worse.
Krystal: Uh, I guess I don't have to ask whose family, do I?
Babe: I was -- I was trying to help.
Krystal: Who? The con who claims that he was framed, or the sister who says that he's nothing but bad to the bone?
Babe: Well, somebody's got to do something.
Babe: Because they're running out of time. Mama, Richie's dying, and both he and Annie are pretending it's not true.
Annie: I don't understand. Where -- where are you going with him and why?
Richie: Hey, I am a talented guy. I'm a valued aide to your man here. Clearly he's starting to realize that. So where are we headed, boss?
Ryan: You want to wreck the surprise -- especially for a guy like you who loves surprises so much. Why ruin the fun?
Annie: You're not really just taking off, are you?
Ryan: Your brother sent you a little present.
Richie: Nothing to do with you.
Annie: What -- what is that?
Richie: Just forget it. Forget it, just give me the --
Richie: What the hell are you doing, man?
Ryan: This is just a little -- a little travel insurance -- flying is so risky these days.
Richie: Hey, man, I mean, who's the maniac here, huh? Who's the sociopath?
Annie: Ryan, I'm sorry, but what are you doing?
Ryan: I promise, Annie, nobody's going to get hurt.
Richie: Oh, yeah. Did he tell you that before he and his friend grabbed me and strung me up like they did Mom?
Annie: I don't -- I don't understand.
Richie: I do. The cuffs are a nice sadistic touch. What -- what are we doing next? You have a leather mask?
Ryan: Your brother sent you some photos, Annie.
Richie: Those are not for you, I gave them to my sister.
Annie: Photos of what?
Richie: Mail tampering, unlawful imprisonment -- I mean, what's next, Ryan? How many felonies are you going to rack up? Who's the criminal here, man? Pay careful attention. You're going to want to testify -- testifying is your specialty.
Ryan: These are old photos of you and your brother.
Richie: Oh, no, don't show her, please, it'll kill her. It's going to scar her for life or, you know -- come on, are there any sedatives in the room, is there a doctor nearby? It's St. Andrew's Halloween pageant. I told you go as a princess, but you were dead set to go as a cowgirl. Hey, but it's cool looking back -- 25 princesses and one blonde in a jean jacket and pink cowboy boots. You took the prize.
Annie: You still have these?
Richie: We matched that year -- I was Jesse James. You remember that pony we had?
Ryan: Hey, Annie, Annie, you know what he's doing, right? I mean, you know that he's working you?
Richie: We swapped candy that year -- yeah, you took the chocolates --
Annie: I took the chocolates, you took the sourballs.
Ryan: Hold -- hold on. Don't fall for this, Annie. This is what he does, all right? He's trying to get you to feel sorry for him again. "You know, I was cute once, and now maybe I'm dying."
Annie: I know, Ryan, but why -- why the trip, why the handcuffs?
Ryan: Nothing bad is going to happen.
Richie: Oh, no, it's just a family outing -- with a hostage.
Ryan: Ok, hold -- this is what he does, this is what he's good at. Annie -- Annie, remember the beach -- I told you I wouldn't let anybody manipulate you, I'm holding to that.
Richie: Do you know how dictators get divorced? They send their wives across deserts on planes, and when the planes land -- the wives don't come with the planes.
Ryan: Nobody is going to get hurt, you have to trust me. Trust me.
Richie: I would not buy that.
Annie: I trust you. But I'm coming, too.
Krystal: What in the Sam Hill were you doing in the park with Richie?
Babe: What does it matter?
Krystal: Well --
Babe: Mama, have you heard me at all?
Krystal: Anybody could've gotten hold of a pill bottle.
Babe: I saw him swallow the last pill, ok?
Krystal: Could've been a jellybean.
Babe: Well, Annie swears that it's a scam, but it's not.
Krystal: How do you know that?
Babe: It's a feeling, all right?
Krystal: Babe, honey, I love your big, sweet, generous heart, but would you listen to your mama just this once? Just open your eyes and walk away from this.
J.R.: Greenlee's just playing hard to get. We need to sweeten the deal.
J.R.: Give her a little bit of cash or give her a percentage of the network -- not enough to give her clout.
Zach: It's over.
J.R.: I'm not giving up.
Zach: Yes, you are. The deal is done.
Greenlee: Ha. Ok, I am going to handle this part, you mix the elixir.
Aidan: Oh, there is no elixir. There's just a perfectly good bottle of stout and a fantastic champagne. Are you sure you want me to mix them?
Greenlee: Yes -- I read about it somewhere. There's a punch bowl in the kitchen, but a pitcher will do.
Aidan: Tell me you're not going to ruin a perfectly good pint of stout?
Greenlee: Stout for you -- bold and manly -- and champagne for me -- sparkly and fun. I mean, I know I haven't felt that remotely in years, but I plan on becoming that again.
Aidan: Oh, sparkly and fun, eh?
Greenlee: Mm-hmm. You got it. So maybe you can just humor me with my silly little ceremony?
Aidan: Nobody said it was silly.
Greenlee: Just help me say goodbye to all of this, to my past. Help me whisk it away, and I'm opening myself to the future.
Aidan: I am right there with you.
Kendall: There he is. There's your beautiful baby brother. Ian is all right. He's just fine. You know, Greenlee -- Greenlee doesn't want Zach's baby. Greenlee wants Ryan's baby. Greenlee wants you, Spikey. Yeah, she wants you --
Kendall: "Pfft" -- I agree. But you know what? She's not going to get you. No, she's not. You know why? You know why? Because your mama's going to protect you, I'm going to protect you. I'm going to take care of you. I'm going to make sure she stays away from you. That's right, ok? Yeah, that's right. So by the time this day is over, Greenlee will be done. Let's go, buddy. Ok, all right, good boy. Ok -- ahem.
[Kendall opens the door to the supply room]
Kendall: Uh -- hi.
Nurse: May I help you with something?
Kendall: Uh -- no. Actually, I was just -- uh -- I was just going to wait for a friend.
Nurse: Oh. There are chairs right there. Are you visiting your preemie?
Kendall: Uh -- yeah, as soon as my friend comes to look after my toddler.
Kendall: We are in, little man. We are in, ok? Ok, come -- bear with me, Spikey. Let's go for a nice little ride.
Julia: What are you doing?
Greenlee: Goodbye, old times. Hello, new times.
Aidan: Here's looking at you, kid.
Greenlee: Oh, God.
Greenlee: That is awful!
Aidan: I wouldn't say "awful."
Greenlee: "Noxious"? "Medicinal"?
Aidan: I don't know. I think it needs more study.
Greenlee: No -- no, no, no, don't do that -- oh, bad.
Aidan: As my grandmother used to say, "In for a penny, love, for a pound." I don't know -- it's unlike anything else. Nobody can say it's bland, though.
Greenlee: Nobody could say it's yummy.
Aidan: I think it's -- it's an acquired taste.
Greenlee: Oh, "an acquired taste"? Right -- like a certain obsessive-compulsive you've had the sorry luck to take on.
Aidan: Oh, come on, now. I wouldn't say -- I wouldn't say "sorry luck."
Greenlee: "Moody"? "Demanding"? And now she is making you drink carbonated sewage. I mean, what did you ever do to deserve that?
Aidan: I don't know. Maybe I did something brave and very noble in a former life.
Greenlee: But in this life, you're putting up with my complaints, my fixations, my stunts.
Aidan: Greenlee --
Aidan: Don't do that.
Aidan: Well, I actually have a thing for the girl that you're trashing.
Aidan: All right? I see you as crazy beautiful on the inside. And on the outside, fearless --
Aidan: Brutally, painfully honest with herself. Always admits her mistakes, and she tries to fix what she breaks.
Greenlee: Some of those things can't be fixed.
Aidan: And when you love, you love big. And when you hurt -- oh, you let it rip. You know, but you're full of forgiveness. You're alive -- more than most people could ever be. I'm crazy about you.
Greenlee: Wow. You're in trouble, mate.
Aidan: Oh, yeah?
Aidan: Bring it on.
Kendall: Well, I guess I am caught in the act.
Julia: Caught in the act of what? What -- what are you looking for?
Julia: No, seriously, what do you need?
Kendall: I don't need anything, actually. Um -- it's -- it's for Spike.
Julia: Well, what is little Spike missing -- his costume looks perfect.
Kendall: Thank you. Yeah, you know what? He's -- he's just -- he's not sleeping at night. Yeah, he got so used to the drill -- you know, the metal crib and the florescent light and those -- those flat blankets and those sort of gnarly, overwashed -- you know, the pillows, the blankets -- all that stuff. Yeah, so, grand theft crib blanket -- that's me, I'm guilty.
Julia: What, you came all the way down here for some ratty old crib blankets?
Kendall: No, no, actually, I came to see Ian. But then I saw his blanket and everything fell into place. Yeah, so this one over here, Spikey -- he's just not impressed with thread count anymore.
Julia: Oh, man, you must be exhausted -- Spike isn't sleeping, neither are you.
Kendall: Yeah, I'm a little tired. Um -- actually, I'm afraid to close my eyes or drop my guard.
Julia: Oh, well, you're still traumatized -- anybody would be. You should talk to your doctor.
Kendall: No, I'm fine, really. As long as my boys are, that's all that matters to me.
Julia: Ok, I'll be right back. And if anybody tries to arrest you, just use my name.
Kendall: Ok. Good deal, ok. Ok, ok. We're in, we're in, we're in.
Kendall: Shh, shh, shh, shh. I'm going to do something good, ok? Oh, this -- ok.
Kendall: Nice -- I got it, I got it, I got it, I got it!
Kendall: Ok, ok. We're going. Come on, dude, we're going. I got it -- the goods, ok? Ok, you're being a good boy. Come on. You're being such a good boy. We're out of here, we're out of this place. Ok. All right. Such a good boy you are. Ok -- hoo-ah! Ok. All right, such a good boy. Oh, my, you -- no --
Kendall: You didn't have to do this.
Julia: Yeah, I did.
Kendall: Julia, thank you so much. I -- I can't thank you enough.
Julia: For those ratty old blankets? I wish I could do more.
Kendall: Well, because of you, Spike will sleep peacefully tonight.
Julia: Well, I just hope his mom gets some rest, too.
Kendall: Thanks. I snagged the chloroform, Spikey, I snagged it. Yeah, we're good to go. You ready to go?
J.R.: You can't do this -- we have an agreement, we have signed contracts.
Zach: Let it go -- Greenlee has.
J.R.: Hold on a second. You know that she's a nut case obsessed with having Ryan's kid.
Zach: Not as obsessed as I thought she'd be.
J.R.: I can fire it up again.
Zach: Leave the woman alone.
J.R.: "The woman"? Don't you mean "the maniac" who made your stepson deaf, who you want out of Fusion away from your wife?
Zach: Greenlee seems to have tightened her grip on reality.
J.R.: So wait a second. You're telling me you threw $1.5 million at me to just -- to check her sanity? Now you're like, "Hey, Greens, what's up? Pull up a chair, what are you doing for Thanksgiving?"
Zach: Now my family's safe, that's all that matters to me.
J.R.: Look, I made agreements with my people, I have commitments with them. I need the rest of my money, I need the $1.5 million.
Zach: Mm-hmm. You need to find yourself another backer.
J.R.: No, you -- you can't do this.
Zach: I just did. Go run to your daddy -- he'll help you.
J.R.: You know I can't do that.
Zach: That's too bad, because that's family. Family is what it's all about -- protecting mine.
Kendall: Ok, we have got to figure this out -- where I will stand, where Greenlee will stand. Where we can put you so you will be safe, and you won't have to hear a thing. I didn't want it to come to this. But, Spikey, Greenlee left me no choice. She will not stop coming after you -- she told me herself. So this is the way it's got to be. No one who knows what Greenlee is thinking could possibly disagree.
Simone: Excuse me -- "no one"?
Kendall: Go away.
Simone: Well, that's a fine "how do you do?" You're the one that summoned me here, and you know what -- I'm pissed.
Greenlee: Careless of me to have left this undone.
Aidan: Why did you get ahead of me? How did that happen?
Greenlee: Oh, do I -- do I need to slow down?
Aidan: I'd rather catch up.
Greenlee: Hey -- um -- warning.
Greenlee: I don't do so well with praise -- it makes me crazier than I already am. It's not too late to save yourself.
Aidan: Oh. I don't want to be saved from you, though.
Greenlee: What if I'd taken J.R.'s deal? What if I had mine and Ryan's embryos? Would you want to be saved then?
Aidan: I'm too far gone to know.
Babe: Walk away from a dying man?
Krystal: Volunteer at a hospice -- help a dying man whose bones you don't want to jump.
Babe: No, it's not about that.
Krystal: Ok, I know all about the kind of pull you can feel for a man who is a walking disaster. And I know that pull can get so strong sometimes that it feels impossible to let it go. And that is why I am telling you, Babe, erase Richie Novak from your mind. Just -- just wipe him out of your thoughts right now before he just slithers into your heart and hunkers down into your soul.
Richie: I choose the rainforest. If I'm going to get chucked out of the plane, I choose the rainforest.
Ryan: We're not going quite that far.
Richie: What the Atlantic? Is -- is that all I rate?
Annie: He's not going to toss you out of the plane, Richie.
Richie: You're talking like you actually know, when basically, you have no idea. The only reason why you're here is because you were there when Ryan went berserk.
Ryan: I told you that nobody's going to get hurt.
Richie: Oh, you mean I'm not going to feel anything? Not like Mom, but, hey -- hey, you were there for the end for both of us.
Ryan: Shut up!
Richie: Last meal, last words, last rites -- I mean, do none of the traditions apply to me?
Annie: Stop it, Richie, just stop it.
Richie: Just shut up and die, huh?
Ryan: Oh, your sister wouldn't let that happen.
Richie: No -- like she wouldn't send me to prison? How far are you actually going to go with this?
Ryan: You are here as a witness.
Richie: As a witness, she's iffy.
Annie: Hey --
Richie: No, no, no, no, no -- are you actually going to lie for him like you lied against me?
Annie: Can we please just get this over with, whatever this is?
Ryan: No rainforest, no priest, no meal. We're ready!
Richie: Lethal injection, huh? You ready for this?
Ryan: Look at all the trouble we went to -- all for you.
Kendall: Simone, you have a permanent place in my heart.
Kendall: And in my memory.
Simone: Stop it.
Kendall: Yeah. But face it, honey -- you're dead. Yeah, and your timing stinks.
Simone: Well, someone has to be the voice of reason around here, cuckoo.
Kendall: Yeah, cuckoo? Ok, how many times did we bail you out?
Simone: Aha! My point exactly. Who is "we"? Think hard.
Kendall: Uh-uh, uh-uh. You are out of touch and out of date and out of place. So just back off, ok?
Simone: Uh-uh. And I dare you to make me. Look, all right. Greenlee is your cosmic twin. Ok, you need something different, a little deeper?
Kendall: Yeah, yeah.
Simone: If you hurt her, you hurt yourself. That's the simple truth.
Kendall: You have obviously missed a lot.
Simone: I haven't missed a beat. You don't want to do this, Kendall. Doing this to Greenlee will make you sick!
Simone: Yeah, touched in the head.
Kendall: Yeah, ok, sick. Sick is a preemie struggling to survive. A baby with a ruptured spleen. Sick is Spike deaf.
Simone: I have been here with you the entire time. Ok, I -- I'm a piece of your mind, sweetheart. Yes, I am in your heart, I know it all, even the things you don't want to see.
Kendall: This is your fault. This -- if you hadn't have given Greenlee your shares, then none of this would have happened.
Simone: And you may have never laid eyes on her again, and you would have hated that. Just like you would have hated the way things are going to be if you go through with this horrendous mess right now.
Kendall: No, I have to.
Simone: No, you don't.
Kendall: I don't have a choice.
Simone: Why? You'll be stabbing yourself in your own heart. Do you get that? Greenlee is a part of you!
Kendall: No, she's not.
Simone: Yes, she is.
Kendall: Not anymore! The only thing that Greenlee is to me now is a threat to my son.
Greenlee: You know, you were right. You were right about everything.
Aidan: Can I get that on tape, please?
Greenlee: You told me to talk to Ryan.
Aidan: Well, that's a no-brainer, that one.
Greenlee: Not to me. I was crazed in my fantasyland of wanting to be part of his extended family, adding on -- I keep talking about this. If you don't want to hear it, it's --
Aidan: Listen, I want to hear as much as -- as you want to tell.
Greenlee: The -- the Slaters and the Laverys and -- huh -- baby and me, one big, emotional commune. What was I thinking?
Aidan: I don't think you were thinking. You were -- you were yearning. It's a completely different part of the brain.
Greenlee: I don't want to be the add-on to somebody's family. I want a family of my own. I don't want the man who let me down. I don't want to be tolerated by Ryan. I don't even want to be quasi-attached to the Slaters and Laverys. Even if Ryan had offered me that -- which he didn't in a very big way -- it wouldn't have been the answer. I want to be the center of somebody's universe. Somebody who's the center of mine.
J.R.: Just give me a few more days. You'll breathe a sigh of relief, you'll thank me.
Zach: You have nothing to sell Greenlee.

Annie: I mean, all this to see if he's sick or not?
Ryan: What, you want to just take his word?

Richie: Right, like, you know, staging a shooting and faking your death, and laying you down and covering you in blood. That's -- that's me. That's exactly my style.
Ryan: And you're going to let him do this? Are you going to let him play the sympathy card, mess with your head, mess with Babe's?
Richie: You sure can pick them. First, the girls' soccer team molester, now this guy. I mean, you can't let him get away with this, can you?
Annie: Do it.
J.R.: Greenlee's out of touch with reality. She's just fooling herself and you.
Zach: You think so?
J.R.: I know so. What about Kendall? She's got to work with Greenlee day in and day out. That can't be good for her peace of mind.
Zach: Kendall is a lot more resilient than I gave her credit for. By the way, so is Greenlee.
J.R.: I hope so. Because what's Kendall going to do when she hears about your little embryo scheme? And what's Greenlee's reaction going to be? I'm pretty sure Aidan's not going to pleased about it, either.

Greenlee: Yeah, of course, I made it. I wouldn't leave you hanging. Hi, Spike. Listen, I just have this feeling that everything's going to work out. I felt it earlier today. I felt it right now when you called, and -- I mean, at this moment, it's just -- it's overwhelming.
Greenlee: Yeah, it's -- it's -- it's wonderful, it's positive. Magical. I mean -- look at this. Just one look at this perfect, angelic face, and how could you have any doubts?
Kendall: You're right. You're absolutely right.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Aidan (to Zach): You come after Greenlee again, I'm going to kill you.
Woman (to Kendall): Ma'am, can you hear me?
Police Officer (to Greenlee): Put the child down!
Greenlee: What? What -- what's going on?
Richie: Now we start doing things my way, ok?
