Ava: Hey, Lily.
Ava: So you're bringing your work home with you?
Lily: I'm making lists.
Ava: Yeah, I can see that. Lists?
Lily: Well, this list is very important, Ava.
Lily: This is a list of everything you'll need for your wedding to Jonathan.
Singer: You make me taste of tribulation you could be feeling lots of things
Amanda: So, how's things?
Jonathan: Things are good.
Amanda: Are you going for 8 or 12 place settings? China, silver, the works? You know, I -- I'm not sure sterling's in my budget, but I could spring for a shiny new toaster.
Jonathan: Ok. Yes. I asked Ava to marry me. Are we done?
Amanda: Just as soon as you answer one question -- are you out of your flippin' mind?
Ryan: Aidan, get him down.
[Pounding on door]
Lt. Perry: Aidan, police! We know you're in there!
Ryan: Whoa, whoa! Whoa!
Lt. Perry: Hey, what the hell are you doing? What are you doing?
Annie: Oh, my God.
Lt. Perry: Call an ambulance.
Ryan: Get him on the ground! I got him -- watch the noose -- you got the noose?
Officer: Yeah, watch the rope, watch the rope.
Ryan: Ok, coming down, coming down.
Annie: Oh, my God, is he ok? Ryan, what happened? Why did you do this?
Aidan: It wasn't Ryan. Everybody, it wasn't Ryan. I was the one that strung him up.
Lt. Perry: If this man dies, you're both going down for it.
Ryan: He did this to himself, all right? He heard you guys coming, he kicked the chair out himself! He did it!
Lt. Perry: Yep, did he also tie himself up and then try to hang himself while you two watched? You sure that's the story you want to go with?
Ryan: We didn't do this. We didn't do it.
Lt. Perry: Arrest them.
Annie: No --
Annie: No, no, no!
Ryan: You got to be kidding me.
Officer: Stand up, please, hands behind your back.
Annie: Wait! Wait!
Ryan: He did this!
Lily: This is a list of everything you'll need for your wedding day.
Ava: Uh, Lily, this is -- this is really great.
Lily: And you'll need a bouquet and a cake and a dress.
Ava: Wow, looks like you've thought of everything.
Lily: Not everything -- that's not possible. A lot of this will require your personal input -- like, for instance, where will you live? Will you continue to live at Wildwind or will you get your own place?
Ava: Uh, Lily, you're way ahead of me here.
Lily: And once you're married, you'll need to keep Jonathan on a budget and coordinate a meal time so you can eat on schedule.
Ava: Budget? Eat on schedule? Lily, are you sure this isn't an old list from when you were married to Jonathan?
Lily: I -- I made a mistake. Your marriage will be nothing like mine. Jonathan can plan his own budget, and you can eat whenever you want.
Ava: Well, um, maybe me eating on schedule wouldn't be so bad. And budgets -- I mean, there's nothing wrong with them, except I think Jonathan would have to keep me on one.
Lily: He's very good at numbers again. He used to depend on me for that.
Ava: But, Lily, there might not even be a marriage. I didn't say yes.
Lily: But you will. It took me a long time after Jonathan first proposed to me to say yes. But your marriage will be nothing like mine -- you and Jonathan are more alike.
Ava: But we fight.
Lily: But that's what normal people do. And you're both normal, and you can both touch, and you can have sex, so nothing will be missing from your marriage, nothing at all.
Jonathan: Ok, so you don't think Ava and I getting married is a great idea.
Amanda: Hello -- try the biggest mistake of your life.
Jonathan: Amanda, I'm sorry if you don't like the idea of Ava and I getting married.
Amanda: What? No, you don't think that I'm jealous, do you? Jonathan, please, you and I -- that was so long ago. And until I hear different, we're friends and that means I get to say what I think.
Jonathan: Friends? Well, a friend would congratulate me. A friend would -- would buy me a drink, not that Ava's said yes.
Amanda: If you're lucky, she won't.
Jonathan: All right, this conversation's done.
Amanda: Jonathan --
Amanda: I know you, and I know Ava, ok? It'll be a disaster.
Jonathan: This is coming from the woman who's shacking up with J.R. Chandler?
Amanda: J.R. and I are about fun, ok, not honeymoons and "ever afters." Take a page, Jonathan. You and Ava have a blast, ok? But "till death do us part" -- it's a train wreck.
Jonathan: You have no idea what Ava and I have, Amanda.
Amanda: Well, I know that you were in love with Lily, and that you have kept your heart in a box ever since.
Jonathan: I am not in love with Ava, because she looks like Lily. I am in love with Ava, because of who she is. There is no confusion.
Amanda: Ok, fine. So you don't confuse her with Lily, but do you even get who Ava is?
Jonathan: You know what? I'm -- I'm a grownup and -- and I love her, and I've thought long and hard about this, and this is what I want.
Amanda: Is it what she wants?
Jonathan: Yes, I'm hoping so, yes.
Amanda: Well, it didn't seem like that to me.
Jonathan: What are you talking about?
Amanda: Ava had a major meltdown at Fusion the other day. She was supposed to wear a wedding gown for a photo shoot. She took one look at it and freaked. She threw it. Ava is not excited to walk down any aisle, Jonathan. In fact, she seemed pretty pissed at you for proposing.
Ryan: We were just about to cut him down the second you guys walked in the door!
Lt. Perry: That's real big of you.
Aidan: That is when he kicked the chair over.
Lt. Perry: You know, save it for your statement.
Annie: They're telling the truth, Lieutenant, and this is something my brother would do.
Lt. Perry: Ok, the victim is --
Annie: He is no victim.
Lt. Perry: The vic was swinging from a rope. He didn't get there by himself, and now he's in the ER, so let's hope he makes it. Ok, in here -- now.
Ryan: Hey, we're going to be fine, it's going to be fine. It's going to be fine, all right? I'll be right back. Are you --
Lt. Perry: Start from the top. I mean, what the hell were you doing?
Aidan: We were trying to get a confession out of him.
Lt. Perry: A confession to what? What's this guy supposed to have done?
Ryan: First of all, "this guy" is not who he says he is.
Lt. Perry: Not a crime, you know. People can call themselves whatever they want as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else.
Ryan: He is harassing my family, all right? He took my daughter, he took Babe Carey and her son to some remote cabin in --
Lt. Perry: Where Ms. Carey swears all they did was toast marshmallows.
Aidan: Well, you have checked out Novak's record?
Lt. Perry: Yeah. And it says he stayed clean and out of trouble, you know, ever since he was released from prison.
Aidan: Oh, really? Well, you know, I've got a scar on the back of my head that says different.
Lt. Perry: Oh, so now you're saying he attacked you?
Ryan: Richie mugged Aidan for a locket that belonged to Annie's mother.
Lt. Perry: You saw him?
Lt. Perry: So in other words, you got nothing?
Ryan: I got phone calls. He's -- he's harassing us with phone calls at the house.
Lt. Perry: Did he admit any of this? Do you have any proof?
Aidan: He claims that his prison buddy, Eddie Johnson, is behind all of it including the attack on me.
Lt. Perry: You mean, Johnson, the dead meth head?
Ryan: Yeah, how do you think he got dead?
Lt. Perry: Don't even start. So, you claim that Novak's working some reign of terror against your wife?
Ryan: Not a claim, not a claim. These threats are very real.
Lt. Perry: You -- you don't have a shred of evidence. I can't arrest him. But you two, on the other hand, are looking at a whole cocktail of charges up to and including attempted murder.
Greenlee: Annie? Oh. Thank you for calling me. Where's Aidan?
Annie: He's in there with Ryan and Lieutenant Perry.
Greenlee: Oh, God. How -- how serious is it?
Annie: I cannot believe a few hours ago, we were scared about what Richie might do, and now Richie is in the hospital, and Ryan and Aidan are the bad guys. My brother has turned this completely upside down like he always does. Richie has made himself the victim -- again.
Babe: Thanks for the call.
Julia: I thought you might want to visit him.
Julia: Just remember -- he's a patient, ok?
Babe: What happened to him?
Julia: Ask him. I'll be back to check on you in a bit.
Richie: Hey, Babe.
Babe: How did you get here? What happened?
Richie: Thanks for coming.
Babe: You're welcome -- Wes, or do I call you "Richie" now?
Richie: I'll tell you anything you want to know.
Babe: Will it be more lies, like your name?
Richie: Babe --
Babe: Annie said you set up that robbery at The Comeback just so you could play hero.
Richie: That's what Annie's saying now?
Babe: A man held a knife to my throat. I thought I was going to die, and you set it up?
Richie: No -- ahem. No, I --
Babe: Why didn't you just tell me who you were? I work with Annie -- you know that, so why didn't you just tell me you were her brother? Emma's uncle? I mean, was anything you told me true?
Officer: Lieutenant? Crime scene pics are in. You're going to want to see these.
Lt. Perry: I'll be right back.
Ryan: Look, I'm --
Ryan: I'm sorry, Aidan, for dragging you into all of this.
Aidan: What, you? No, no, no, no -- I was the one who decided to play hangman.
Ryan: Yeah, and he never broke a sweat.
Aidan: Look, I've -- I have seen terrorists cry to their mums with that noose around their neck, all right? He didn't blink an eyelid. Annie's brother is a stone-cold son of a bitch.
Jack: What happened?
Annie: Ryan and Aidan were arrested for something they didn't do.
Jack: Well, that's not the story the DA told me on the way over here. Hang on. Perry, what the hell's going on here?
Lt. Perry: Well, for starters, Lavery and Devane are going to be charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, and attempted murder.
Annie: What -- no, no! This is wrong! Ryan was trying to protect us! And you're going to arrest him for that?
Lt. Perry: I'm sorry, Mrs. --
Annie: No, he's doing this to you, too -- my brother does this to everybody -- he makes you see things that aren't there. Please don't believe him. Please.
Richie: I am not proud of how I handled this. Ok, but I knew Annie would be telling her lies.
Babe: Oh, oh, so Annie's the liar now?
Richie: It's hard to believe, isn't it? Did she tell you she's perjured herself to send me to prison?
Richie: You could ask her if you like, but I'm sure she'll have a story ready about how she had to -- had to lie to send me to prison for seven years.
Babe: It's always the innocent ones who do time.
Richie: You don't believe me -- yeah, I get that. You don't like being lied to -- ahem. People don't like being lied about.
Babe: Yeah, well, the truth's not that hard.
Richie: I tried to tell you the truth -- remember that, in the cabin? I tried to tell you the truth.
Babe: Yeah, but you didn't get to any of the important stuff, did you?
Richie: We were having a great time. I didn't want to spoil that great time. And honestly, I -- I didn't think you'd understand it.
Babe: Oh, try me. Captive audience.
Richie: Ahem. As far as I could remember, I had this -- she resented me. She thought our parents loved me more, that they gave me more, that they -- ahem -- paid me more attention.
Babe: Annie's jealous of you?
Richie: Yeah, she -- she used to do all these things to mess with me. She'd tell these horrible lies about me and then she'd, you know, she'd blame me for the things she did. But my parents saw through that. They never -- they never lost faith in me, and that only made Annie resent me more.
Babe: Well, I can't picture Annie doing any of that.
Richie: She hated me enough to send me to prison. You know what the thing is? The thing is I could handle everything my sister did to me, even prison. I -- I could deal with that. But when she started telling lies -- ahem -- that hurt other people -- ahem -- when I got sent up, my mom killed herself. My dad threw Annie out of the house and -- ahem -- that's my family, Babe. And that's the truth.
Babe: Hmm. Annie said you were smooth.
Richie: If you want to believe Annie, there's nothing I can do about that.
Babe: Yeah, but why should I believe a word out of your mouth?
Richie: There's no reason you should. But would you even be here? Would you even be here if you didn't think there was the smallest amount of truth to what I'm telling you? You know, I'll give you some more truth -- I had absolutely zero intention of getting involved with you. But I -- I liked you. I still do.
Lily: If you can't decide whether or not you should marry Jonathan, I suggest you make a list of pros and cons. "Pros" -- so you both like jokes, and you both like breakfast in bed.
Ava: Um -- Jonathan likes to wake up really early, and I like to sleep in.
Lily: So that would be a con. And you love Jonathan, and he loves you, and you can have sex.
Ava: Wait, Lily, back up. I'm not so sure about that one.
Lily: What, you can't have sex?
Ava: The one before that.
Lily: You love Jonathan. You -- you don't love Jonathan?
Ava: I do -- I think. I mean, I don't know. I've never been, like, "in love" in love before.
Lily: Well, how much of you is sure that you love Jonathan?
Ava: I don't know.
Lily: 50%? More? Less?
Ava: Lily, I'm not good with this stuff.
Lily: I was 100% sure when I loved Jonathan. But after he wasn't like me anymore, even 100% wasn't enough. But you're normal, so maybe if you have an 80% belief that you love Jonathan, maybe your 80% will be better than my 100%. Are you 80% sure that you love Jonathan?
Ava: He's the nicest guy I've ever known.
Lily: Ok, so that would be a pro. So far, the pros are 71%, and combined with your 80% belief that you love Jonathan, marriage is a viable option.
Ava: But you're missing one big, humongous con that could totally wipe out everything. "Hurting Lily."
Lily: This list isn't about me, it's about you and Jonathan.
Ava: But I love you, Lily. And I am more than 1,000% sure of that. And I don't want to hurt you, not when I know that you still love Jonathan.
Jonathan: Ava's just off-balance right now. She's just -- the proposal took her by surprise. And people are so hung up on the craziness and the hype that they don't know how vulnerable she is.
Amanda: Yeah, I really felt her pain when she jammed her tongue down my throat.
Jonathan: Ava -- thank you.
Jonathan: Ava has no idea what it feels like to be accepted, to be safe, to -- to be loved. That's why she acts out -- she hits first. You know, that's why she does all this crazy stuff.
Amanda: Jonathan, you are making excuses for her.
Jonathan: No, Amanda, Ava has a good heart. She's just afraid to show it. She's afraid that it's going to get stomped on. With Spike, at the hospital, did you know she brought him presents, and she talked to him? With Lily, Amanda, with Lily, she's -- she's patient, she's kind, she's gentle. That's the Ava I know -- the Ava that when she lets her guard down, and she's not afraid to trust someone, she's a loving, good person.
Amanda: Well, you do sound like a man in love -- I will give you that.
Jonathan: I am.
Amanda: But are you sure that it's for real, Jonathan? Or are you just trying to save her from the world, from the people who don't see her the way that you do?
Richie: When I got out, the first thing I wanted to do was get a job, start living life outside of an 8-by-6. You know what I mean? But then, I met you.
Babe: Ok, this is not about me. Let's not make this anything about the two of us.
Richie: Hmm. Ok, all right.
Babe: So why Pine Valley? I mean, the place where the sister who hates you lives? Why did you really come here?
Richie: I'm trying to put my family back together.
Babe: So you couldn't just knock on the door and say, "Hey, sis, let's talk"?
Richie: It doesn't work that way with Annie. I had to leave my feet back underneath. I had to get settled. I knew Annie was going to be telling her stories, and I needed to see what the damage was. Hmm. I never expected to meet somebody that I really -- I'm sorry. I wanted you to know, I tried to tell you. But I had to know that you knew me -- the real me -- not the version Annie would tell you.
Babe: Yeah, well, I've known Annie a lot longer than I've known you, and she's never been anything but honest.
Richie: "Honest." Did she tell you about our family? Did she tell you that we had a great, happy childhood? I'm sure that Annie's honest about a lot of things, but when it comes to me, she's just --
Babe: Unhinged? Unbalanced? Yeah, yeah, I'd be a little sideways, too, if my ex-con brother was terrorizing me.
Richie: Yeah, that's -- that's the story Annie's spinning. It's not true, and I can't prove it, but it's not. It's not true.
Babe: Well, if you're on the up-and-up, then why all the sneaking around? I mean, that whole trip with Little Adam and Emma -- that was so you could get alone time with your niece.
Richie: You're right, it was. It was. I needed to see Emma without Annie sabotaging it. Is that so wrong? Is that so wrong for an uncle --
Babe: Yeah, when you lie about it, yeah.
Richie: Look, if I wanted to hurt that little girl, I had plenty of time. I could've done whatever I wanted to, but that is not who I am.
Richie: I wanted Emma to know that her uncle is a nice, normal guy. And I was hoping that you could, too.
Babe: Yeah, well, "nice, normal guys" don't do what you did.
Richie: I don't have that great family you have, Babe. I've got a sister who hates me. I've got a father who can't stand to be in the same room with me. Hey, Dad.
Annie: Thanks. I'm -- ahem -- I'm sorry I lost it before.
Greenlee: Oh, are you kidding me? I would've punched that stupid cop in the face.
Annie: Yeah, you probably would have.
Greenlee: Look, I mean, Jack -- he's in there with Ryan and Aidan and he is one of the best -- I mean, strike that -- he is "the" best. This is what he does, the impossible -- not that this is the impossible. I mean, Ryan and Aidan had to do what they had to do -- see what's happening here? I'm -- I'm talking too much, so now I'm just -- I'm going to -- I'm going to shut up.
Annie: It's ok, Greenlee. It's -- it's actually nice having someone to talk to.
Greenlee: Even if that someone is me. Huh.
Annie: You've been great through all this. I -- I appreciate it.
Greenlee: No problem.
Annie: It's just I've -- I've been here with Richie a million times, and it never ends well for anyone but Richie.
Greenlee: What do you mean?
Annie: It's like he planned this whole thing from the beginning. It's like he wanted Ryan to go after him.
Greenlee: Why would he go through all that trouble?
Annie: Because it's more of a challenge for him. My brother's brilliant.
Greenlee: Well, it's too bad he doesn't use that brilliance and put it to some good use. What?
Annie: It's just, I -- I used to say the same thing about you.
Greenlee: Oh. Wow -- thanks. I've been compared to a lot of things -- never a sociopath -- maybe I'm just going to go --
Annie: I'm sorry. That didn't -- that didn't come out the way I meant it. I -- there's a huge difference between you and my brother.
Greenlee: Is this the part where I now thank you?
Annie: You have something Richie will never have, Greenlee -- you have a conscience.
Jack: Annie's pretty upset. So is Greenlee, for that matter.
Aidan: Greenlee's here?
Jack: Yes, they're both outside there. Let's get back to Richie. Now, if he did everything you say he did --
Ryan: I'd bet my life on it, Jack.
Jack: Ok -- why? What does Annie's brother want from you -- is it money?
Ryan: No, it's revenge. He wants to torture Annie.
Jack: Well, if that's the case, I'd say you two played right into his hands.
Aidan: Yeah, you're right, Jack, we did, all right, and it's my fault. I escalated it, and I should take the fall for it.
Ryan: No, Aidan.
Aidan: No, Ryan. Jack, tell Lieutenant Perry I want to take the rap if he lets Ryan walk.
Ryan: Absolutely not going to happen, all right? If this guy thinks that he can torment my friends and my family, it's just -- it's not going to happen.
Jack: Then give me something to work with. I'm not talking about creepy phone calls or knocks over the head. You get me some hard evidence, I'll bury this guy with it, I will, but you've got to help me. Now, do you have anything -- anything at all?
Walter: When I heard what happened, I was so afraid.
Richie: Dad, I'm fine. I'm fine. Now that you're here. Hey, Dad, this is Babe. He reads lips.
Babe: It's nice to meet you.
Walter: Nice to meet you, too. What happened? How did you get here? Who did this to you?
Babe: I'll come back later.
Richie: No. No, you should hear this. You're going to hear it later, anyway. It was Annie's husband, and his friend -- some Special Ops guy.
Walter: So she's behind this.
Richie: Well, you know Annie. I'm sure she didn't mean to go this far.
Walter: Knowing your sister, she sent them to kill you.
Greenlee: Your brother really pushed your father out a window?
Annie: Well, it was never proven, of course. Richie never leaves any fingerprints. It's like the kid in the lake.
Greenlee: What kid?
Annie: When -- when Richie was 12 or 13, he went on a camping trip with his Boy Scout troop. Jay Banacheck -- that was his name. Well, Richie and Jay -- they got in this big fight because Jay wouldn't sell Richie his baseball card collection. Next thing you knew, Jay was dead he drowned. Another "accident."
Greenlee: And you think that Richie was --
Annie: Well, afterwards, Richie became really close with Jay's parents. He would do chores for them, odd jobs, help them deal with their grief. And to thank Richie, they gave him these baseball cards. Richie always gets what he wants.
Jack: Ryan, I might have gotten you two a pass on the kidnapping and false imprisonment charges, but not with Richie hanging from a rope swinging when the cops --
Ryan: He knew exactly what he was doing.
Aidan: Right. He knew he would be cut down before any real damage was done.
Jack: So you expect people to believe that this guy literally risked his own life to put you in jail?
Ryan: No. But that's exactly what he did. It's a game. It's a sick, twisted game.
Jack: Ryan, if this is a game, may I tell you something, my friend? You're losing.
Ryan: Well, the game's not over yet.
Lily: Why did you say I love Jonathan? I annulled our marriage.
Ava: But you still love him, don't you?
Lily: We're too different. I -- I couldn't take care of him anymore.
Ava: But, Lily, you're taking care of him right now. I mean, you're making him all these lists just so that I'll know how to be his wife? That smells like love to me.
Lily: You can't smell love.
Ava: Ok, well, I still say that you love him, and that's a problem.
Lily: Jonathan will be my brother-in-law, like Zach. And if you and Jonathan get married, then you can have kids like Kendall and Zach.
Ava: Kids? Now you're really freaking me out.
Lily: Well, someday you will. And I can be an aunt again. Since I'll never be a mom.
Ava: Lily, the numbers and the pros and the cons -- those aren't important to me, ok? You're important to me. I care about you. And I -- I love you so much. And if marrying Jonathan would make you unhappy, there's no way in a million years I would ever do it.
Lily: Well, marrying you would make Jonathan happy. And you would be happy. And so logically, I would be happy.
Ava: Do you really I think I can make him happy?
Lily: I think you already do.
Ava: But what if that's not enough?
Lily: Well, it must be. That's why he proposed to you.
Ava: I don't -- I've never even held down a job for more than a few months. And this would be like a forever kind of thing. And I just don't think that I'm the forever kind of girl.
Lily: Well, you said that your mother didn't love you, and you never really knew our father.
Ava: Yeah. So?
Lily: So now you have someone that will love you forever -- besides me. And you can love him back. So where's the con in that?
Jonathan: Ava hasn't said yes, so this entire conversation's pointless.
Amanda: Just one more question.
Jonathan: No, no more questions.
Amanda: Have you talked to Lily about this?
Jonathan: Yes, I have, and she's ok with it.
Amanda: How can she be? She loved you, and you're marrying her sister.
Jonathan: Lily wants Ava to be happy.
Amanda: She said that?
Jonathan: Yes, she did.
Amanda: And you believe her?
Jonathan: Lily doesn't lie. She understands that Ava and I want to be together. It's as simple as that.
Amanda: You and Lily were simple -- you and Ava are mind-blowingly complicated.
Jonathan: That's enough, Amanda. I've heard enough -- please, this is my life, it's not yours. And I appreciate the concern, but now stay the hell out of it.
Lily: I'm going to go type these.
Ava: You don't have to.
[Cheers and applause]
Ava: Thank you. Thank you so much. I have been dreaming about this moment my entire life. Um -- but I couldn't have gotten here alone, so I just want to thank the academy, first of all. Thank you so much. And my two costars, living, breathing dreams, Leo and Brad. I see you. You're the best. I love you. And my agent and manager, J.R. Chandler. You have believed in me from the very beginning, and I will always thank you for that. And my husband, Jonathan.
Ava: Oh. Oh. Quiet, you two, or I'll give you something to really cry about! If I have to count to three -- ugh. Ugh.
Jonathan: I'm off to the office, cupcake. If you have time, this needs to go to the cleaners, and we're out of toothpaste. Oh, and don't hold dinner, because I'm going to be late tonight. Well, what's wrong?
Ava: Me! This! How did this happen? You didn't want kids. And I was supposed to be a star!
Jonathan: You're always going to be my star. I'll see you tonight, ok?
[Camera shutters click]
Photographer: Ava, over here, give us a shot!
Second photographer: You're gorgeous, Ava. Come on, how about a kiss?
First photographer: How's the marriage, Ava? Is it true? Can you be married and have it all? Over here, Ava.
Walter: What did Ryan do to you? What happened? Richie, tell me.
Richie: It's not important.
Walter: Please, son, I have to know.
Richie: Ryan and his buddy -- they took me outside of a bar. Took me to a room, put a noose around my neck, and kicked the chair out from underneath.
Richie: If the cops hadn't broken in, I'd be dead.
Jack: And I will do everything I can. I will go see if I can get an early arraignment, have them set bail.
Ryan: Thank you. I appreciate it.
Jack: No problem.
Aidan: Yeah, I do, too. Thanks.
Officer: Ok, you guys, let's go.
Annie: Are you ok? This is all my fault.
Ryan: What? No, it's not. We're going to get through this. Come on.
Aidan: Jack told me you were here. You shouldn't be.
Greenlee: I'm not here for you. This is -- remember? -- The scene of my greatest performance, since Mrs. Eddie Johnson. I wanted to relive the thrill, just not with the tattoos and piercings and leather and all that.
Aidan: You know, I -- I let Ryan down today, and Annie. Greenlee, no, no.
Aidan: What was that for? Huh?
Greenlee: I just happened to give a "big fat damn" right back at you.
Ryan: Everything is going to be fine, Annie. Jack is going to sort this out. The charges are going to get dropped. It's going to be fine.
Annie: Maybe if I talked to Richie --
Ryan: What? No, I don't want --
Annie: But if it helps you --
Ryan: Promise me you won't, Annie -- promise me. Promise me that you won't try to see Richie.
Officer: All right, time to go.
Annie: Ryan --
Ryan: No, I need a prom -- Annie, I don't want you to see him. I don't want you to see him. Please -- Jack -- Jack?
Officer: All right, let's go.
Aidan: All right!
Jack: Stay cool.
Greenlee: You're not going to listen to him, are you?
Annie: The only person who can stop Richie is me.
Jack: Come here.
Greenlee: It's bad. It's bad, isn't it?
Jack: It's not good.
Greenlee: Look, Dad -- I mean, I've never really kept track of your wins and losses, but I mean, you got to win this one, ok? Please?
Jack: I'll do my damnedest.
Lily: I made copies and filed these in case you lose them.
Ava: Thanks, Lily, but I don't need them.
Lily: But marriage is a very big step. These -- this will be helpful.
Ava: I've already decided what I'm going to do.
Lily: You have? What?
Ava: Thank you for helping me. I love you, Lily.
Jonathan: I know you mean well.
Amanda: No, I don't. I am being a complete and total bitch, but I figure it's for a good cause. I care about you, Jonathan. Always have and always will.
Amanda: And I wouldn't be your friend -- your good friend -- if I didn't tell you how I felt about this.
Jonathan: Well, I got the message.
Amanda: You're right. It's your life. It's going to be a roller coaster, but you own it. And if it ever flies off the tracks, I'm here for you.
Jonathan: It won't.
Walter: None of it ever should have happened. That girl's lie has sent you to prison in the first place. They killed your mother. And now, Annie has gotten her husband to do her dirty work for her. To murder you.
Babe: I should go.
Richie: I'm sorry, Babe.
Walter: I didn't mean to upset you. It's just that my daughter does these horrible things.
Babe: Yeah -- I -- I really should go.
Annie: Babe, what are you doing here?
Walter: Get the hell away from my son!
Annie: But, Dad, I --
Walter: It wasn't enough that you drove your mother to kill herself? You send your husband to murder your own brother?
Annie: Dad -- Dad, please --
Walter: You are sick. I can't bear the sight of you. You disgust me!
Annie: Wait --
Lt. Perry: Gentlemen, enjoy.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Adam (to Hannah): I'm warning you -- get me what I want.
Ryan (to Zach): Tell me how I can make Richie Novak disappear and get away with it.
Richie (to Annie): You'd do time and pay me off.
Annie: I will start to make it happen right this second if you say we have a deal.
