Kendall: It's ok, Spikey. You're ok. Yeah. Yeah, you're ok. I mean, you got a little bump on your head there. But you know what? Pretty soon, you'll be all better. Yeah. Because Daddy went to a special doctor, and he is going to fix you and make you good as new. I promise. Tell him, Ryan. Tell our son. He's going to be just fine.
Aidan: Is that any way to greet your host, especially when he brings you lunch?
Greenlee: You stupid son of a bitch. You kidnap me? What, I tell you everything? I confide in you, so you get to "punish" me?
Aidan: If I wanted to punish you, Greenlee, I would have brought you the beef Wellington, because it's as tough as a plank of wood.
Greenlee: You are a criminal.
Aidan: No, sweetheart, I am your white knight. Only the armor's a little bit tarnished, and the horse is in the shop. Right now, I'm about the only thing standing between you and damnation, so you better deal with it.
[Music plays at the Yacht Club]
Adam: I know that Zach Slater is dealing with heavy issues. The idea was to take advantage of that, not report back to me what I already know. Scotch, neat.
Singer: Yes, I'll tell you I'll say you've gone down
Adam: What's all the ruckus down there? Is it nude sunbathing, or did Paris Hilton find God?
Reporter: The tables were turned on the police today as a reputed drug dealer took two hostages during a sting operation on the beach. The two people being held hostage have been identified as Fusion Cosmetics model Ava Benton and J.R. Chandler, son of tycoon Adam Chandler.
Adam: Huh. Make it a double.
Reporter: Chief Frye, any word on the hostages?
Derek: No comment.
Reporter: Is this a case of police incompetence?
Derek: You really want me to answer that?
Jack: Whoa, whoa -- don't -- don't -- don't provoke them, Derek, please, just --
Derek: I know, Jackson --
Jack: Just -- just let me -- let me take care of this, all right? Folks, we have a very serious situation here, lives are at stake. We need your cooperation. Please don't make a bad situation worse.
Derek: I assure you, Commissioner, we're doing everything we can to get the situation under control as quickly as possible, sir.
Jonathan: Ugh. I hate -- I hate that I cannot do anything about this.
Amanda: I know.
Jonathan: Ok. So -- uh -- you and J.R., huh?
Amanda: Go figure. J.R., you stupid idiot. Why couldn't you just walk away?
Officer: Whoa, whoa, just hold on.
Jack: No, no, that's ok.
Tad: Where's my son?
Jack: Let him by.
Tad: How bad is it?
Jack: Well, it's as bad as it can possibly be. I don't know whether J.R. has a death wish or he's playing hero, or what, but he ran right into that shack.
Derek: I am going to get skewered for this.
Tad: How did it happen?
Jack: Old news, Tad. J.R. shows up and things get worse.
J.R.: So, I'm a hostage now. That's your brilliant idea?
Lenny: Until I think of a better one, yeah.
Ava: Ok, you don't need this loser. I am the face of Fusion. Do you have any idea how much I'm worth?
J.R.: You know what? Keep her. I'm gone.
Lenny: Hold it right there, loser.
Derek: It was dumb buzzard's luck, Tad. Ava agreed to help us on a drug bust. J.R. and Amanda walked by just as the thing was going down.
Jack: The dealer got wise to us. He pulled a gun and dragged Ava into that shack.
Derek: And then J.R., damn fool, tried to go in there and fix it, and here we are.
Tad: Stop jumping all over J.R. It never occurred to you for a moment that a public beach might not be the perfect place to lure a perp?
Jack: Tad, this was -- this was my idea, this setup, the sting, so if you're looking for a target, it would be me.
Tad: No, Jack, I'm looking for a happy ending. Excuse me.
Derek: I'm going to get one of my men to get you two out of here.
Colby: No. No way, no.
Krystal: Colby, if Derek thinks it's unsafe, then --
Colby: J.R. is my brother and I'm not going anywhere.
Krystal: Well, I'm -- I'm not going to fight her on that. If she wants to stay, I guess she can stay.
Sean: Uncle Jack, this -- this drug sting -- is this part of the deal that was supposed to clear my record of the drug charges?
Sean: Ok, Uncle Jack, look, I -- I appreciate it, but you should have said something, you know? I would have said no.
Jonathan: Lily told me to retrace my steps, to go back to where I first lost Ava.
Amanda: You're not going to lose her.
Jonathan: I don't know.
Amanda: Jonathan --
Jonathan: What if I have? What if?
Krystal: Babe --
Babe: I'm fine.
Krystal: No, you're not. And neither am I.
Tad: Come on, sit down.
Babe: Just, I cannot believe this is happening. God, this cannot be real.
Tad: Yeah, I never thought I'd see the day -- I miss J.R. faking it, but that SWAT team looks pretty real to me.
Babe: Please be ok.
Derek: Roger, out. Can't pick up anything on the shotgun mike. Can't hear anything that's going on in there.
Jack: And now he's got two bargaining chips instead of one.
Derek: He's also got twice as many people to keep track of.
Jack: You think that might make him slip up?
Derek: I wouldn't want to bet my life on it.
Lenny: Where I can see you, man! You, go.
Lenny: I've had enough of you. Go!
Ava: Wait, you're -- you're actually kicking me out of here?
Lenny: Yeah, what does it look like? Go make somebody else miserable, huh?
Ava: But I'm the face of Fusion.
Lenny: In a minute, you're going to be a face full of bullets. Now, go, now!
J.R.: Do you see what I'm saying?
Lenny: Shut up.
J.R.: She always was a liability.
Ava: Just shut up, J.R. You just want me to leave so that I can owe you. Big bad J.R. Chandler comes in and saves me, and you hold it over my head forever?
J.R.: The head with no brain?
Ava: Such a jerk.
Lenny: Sit down, shut up! I said sit!
Adam: Well, you pulled out all the stops again, J.R., baby. Is that -- is that a SWAT team down there? Oh, the chief of police?
Reporter: Sources close to the scene have described the situation as touch-and-go. Police now --
Adam: Yeah, why don't you change the channel, would you? Something -- stock reports, golf -- anything.
Reporter: There are conflicting reports as to why J.R. Chandler was taken hostage.
Adam: You've been had! It's a joke. It's a big setup.
Reporter: The suspect has now been identified as Leonard --
Adam: Come on, Lenny, give it up.
Reporter: Hayes, a man twice convicted on felony drug charges.
Adam: I'm all tapped out, bro.
Bartender: Sir --
Bartender: I think you've had enough.
Adam: When I have bought and sold you about 11 million times, then you can tell me if I've had enough, ok? Yeah.
Singer: Falling down
Adam: Damn it, J.R.!
Greenlee: White knight, huh?
Aidan: It's a dirty job.
Greenlee: Yeah, I'll say. You kidnapped me!
Aidan: No, I simply removed you from a bad situation that was bad enough to begin with, one that you insisted on making worse.
Greenlee: Ok, I'm just trying to figure out what happened to Spike.
Aidan: And Spike's family doesn't want you there.
Aidan: You throw one more thing at me, and I'll throw it back, and I won't miss.
Greenlee: Yes, is this how you get off, Detective Devane? You play mind games with people that you abduct?
Aidan: Oh, you think I'm doing this for fun? I'm doing this for the money. Somebody hired me.
Greenlee: "Someone"? Of course. Zachy Soprano. So when do I get whacked, or are you going to torture me first before you dump me in the river?
Aidan: Oh -- stop being so melodramatic, will you?
Greenlee: Ok, you're not going to get away with this. I'm going to have you arrested for kidnapping, false imprisonment, and conspiracy.
Aidan: Are you done? Because there's -- there's food over here. It'd be a real shame to let it go cold.
Greenlee: You ratted me out, didn't you? You told Zach everything I told you?
Aidan: You mean that you really did plan on kidnapping Spike and take him away?
Greenlee: I am such an idiot for thinking that you understood.
Aidan: Just relax, all right? Your secret is safe with me -- if that's what you think it is. I didn't tell anyone.
Greenlee: Yeah. Liar.
Aidan: Don't you think that if I did tell, that there would be a line of people outside that door waiting to string you up? Or put you away, or both?
Greenlee: So why didn't you say anything?
Aidan: You almost sound disappointed.
Greenlee: No, just I'm curious.
Aidan: Is that why you told me? So I'd share your story with the world? That is, isn't it? You want everyone to know the truth, because you think that they're going to forgive you. Is that it?
Greenlee: Yeah -- I don't need a shrink, Aidan. It's the last thing I'd expect from a hired thug.
Aidan: Well, I'll take that as a compliment. I aim to please, Greenlee.
Greenlee: I don't expect anything from you. I don't expect anything from anyone in this town.
Aidan: Right. Which is why you've had your hand out from day one. "Give me my company, my husband. Give me my best friend, my baby." And what is it now? "Give me forgiveness." Well, get real, sweetheart. Do you honestly think that anyone's going to forgive you now?
Kendall: It's good news, right? From the specialist?
Ryan: I mean, we have some options. First, they're going to run some more tests on Spike to find out the cause of his hearing loss. And once they know that, then they can figure out whether or not he can get his hearing back.
Kendall: See, Spikey? See? Mommy knew it. I knew it. The doctors fixed your tummy, and they're going to fix this, too, and you're going to be great.
Ryan: Kendall, there's no guarantee.
Joe: Ah. I just went by your room to check on you.
Kendall: Mommy's in trouble.
Joe: Mommy should be in bed.
Kendall: I'm fine, Joe. Really, I'm -- I'm fine. Right, Spikey? Aren't I fine? Isn't Mommy -- Mommy's just fine.
Joe: It's back to bed now. Doctor's orders.
Ryan: You heard the man, Kendall.
Kendall: No, I made Spike a promise that I wouldn't leave him, and I'm not leaving.
Joe: How are you going to get strong enough to go home if you're running on empty?
Kendall: I am not going home.
Ryan: Kendall, you need to rest.
Kendall: No one is -- is -- is telling Zach to leave Ian. No one's ushering you out of here.
Ryan: Yeah, because we didn't have C-sections.
Kendall: I'm not leaving my son. No. What?
Kendall: "Nothing." Right. Ok, I saw that look that -- that you just gave him. I know what it is. You're thinking, "There goes Kendall again being all stubborn and irrational."
Ryan: No, no, no, no, no, no.
Kendall: You know what, Ryan? Stop, stop, ok? Listen to me -- he is my son. I am his mother. I am doing what's best for my child.
Joe: And as admirable as that is, you're also wearing yourself out. Wait, I just had an idea. We can compromise. I'll be right back.
Kendall: I'm sorry.
Ryan: For what?
Kendall: Just for taking everything out on you, on everybody.
Ryan: Forget it.
Ryan: It's ok to sleep, Kendall, it really is.
Kendall: Ryan, I can't sleep. There's no way. Every time I close my eyes, I see Spike on that gurney, all bloody and bruised. He must have been so scared. How could she have done this to our little boy? How?
Greenlee: I'm not explaining myself to Zach Slater's hired muscle.
Aidan: Hmm. You already have.
Greenlee: Yeah, that was a mistake, and if you plan on doing anything with it, it's my word against yours.
Aidan: I'll keep that in mind, shall I?
Greenlee: You don't understand.
Aidan: Try me. Go on, try me.
Greenlee: Ryan and Kendall -- I love them. They're my family.
Greenlee: What, are you mocking me now?
Aidan: No, I'm not. I'm listening. Go on.
Greenlee: I don't have nieces or aunts that I'm close with. My mother's a joke. The man I thought was my father was, too. He's dead now.
Aidan: So Jackson is --
Greenlee: I didn't know Jackson was my dad until a couple of years ago. I adore my grandparents, but that's different. What Ryan and Kendall and I have -- it's -- it's an unbreakable force.
Aidan: And you broke it, Greenlee. Ok, it's over.
Greenlee: No, it's not.
Aidan: Do you not get that?
Greenlee: No, because when a family is born, it doesn't die! It might get lost. It might drift apart, but it's still there. My family is buried under a mountain of anger and hurt. But it is still there. I just have to -- I have to dig through that hurt to show them. I just -- I need an opening, a door, a way in, and -- and as soon as I find that, it's going to all be ok again.
Aidan: After everything that has happened, do you really think that you can fix it?
Greenlee: Yes, yes, yes, I can. I'm going to make everything all right.
Ava: Dude, chill, ok? You're totally losing it.
Lenny: You ready for another smack, or what?
J.R.: Hey --
J.R.: You hit her?
Lenny: Man, just --
Ava: Oh, like that would be a surprise to you?
J.R.: That's not cool, man. That is so not cool.
Lenny: Shut up.
J.R.: No, it takes a real man to hit a woman while he's branding a semiautomatic weapon in her face!
Lenny: I said shut up!
Ava: Don't listen to him, ok? J.R. Chandler doesn't care what happens to the "skank."
J.R.: Would it be too much just to ask you to shut your mouth for five minutes?
Ava: Oh, right, I forgot -- I'm supposed to be thanking you for saving my life.
J.R.: Look, if you don't shut up, we're both going to be toast, you understand?
Lenny: That's right. I'm going to blow your brains out on all these walls! That sound like plan, kids? Now, shut up and let me think.
J.R.: That's what we need.
J.R.: A plan.
Babe: This is déjà vu, Mama.
Krystal: What, darling?
Babe: When I found out that J.R. faked his own kidnapping, I went off. I mean, I totally lost it. I mean, how could he be so selfish, so thoughtless to risk leaving Little A without a father? And then he goes and does something stupid like this.
Krystal: Well, to tell you the truth, we really don't know what he's done.
Babe: Yeah, and that's just the problem. J.R. is like two different guys. The -- the prideful, arrogant son of a bitch who walks through walls and thinks that he can walk through a hailstorm of bullets without getting a scratch, and then he's the guy that makes a mess, and he wants to fix it. He better get out of there, so I can apologize and -- and then wring his neck.
Krystal: Honey, he is going to walk out of there just fine.
Babe: I think there's someone else who needs to hear that. Hey.
Amanda: Hey. J.R.'s in there. You're scared.
Babe: So are you. He's going to be ok.
Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa --
Adam: Oh, no, let me through.
Officer: Sir, you need to stand back now.
Adam: Like hell I will.
Reporter: What are the conditions for your son's release?
Second Reporter: Have you made an offer, Mr. Chandler?
Adam: Derek, you can hear me. Tell these morons to let me pass.
Officer: Hey --
Derek: Shoot me now.
Jack: Adam, do us all a favor. Go home. You're not needed here, all right?
Adam: I have Governor Brooks on speed dial. You want to bring him into this?
Derek: Let him in, let him in.
Jack: Don't do that.
Adam: All right, I understand my son is being held at gunpoint. Who's responsible?
Derek: J.R. got himself into this mess.
Jack: Well, you want the long story, Adam, or you want the headlines?
Adam: We're not going to get the truth out of you, anyway.
Jack: I was the one that set the sting up, Adam.
Adam: You decided to quash your family's drug problem? Yeah, how many of your family are -- are users and addicts?
Jack: Adam, just shut up, please, just shut up.
Adam: You're not the district attorney! Why the hell are you involved?
Jack: Because you framed my nephew, and you wouldn't lift a hand to clear his record, so I had to get Ava to step up to the plate, that's why, Adam.
Adam: And you believed that drug-addled twit?
Derek: Ava was doing just fine until J.R. stepped in and ruined the whole operation.
Jack: Yeah, and thanks to him, they could both end up dead.
Adam: This is ridiculous. It's totally ridiculous! Martin, you're to blame for this.
Kendall: I thought she hurt him.
Kendall: Yeah, I know. It's completely irrational and crazy, but one minute our baby is fine, seemingly out of danger -- the next, Greenlee's there and -- and now Spike can't hear.
Kendall: I loved her, Ryan.
Kendall: I loved her enough to carry a child for her, a gift that I wanted to give her more than anything. I don't understand this. How could this woman be the same woman who tried to steal Spike?
Ryan: The Greenlee that we knew and we trusted doesn't exist anymore, Kendall. She's a memory. And how we got here -- I'm not sure we'll ever have an answer to that.
Kendall: Well, I need one, Ryan. Spike needs one. I mean, he's an innocent child.
Ryan: I know.
Kendall: He deserves to know.
Ryan: Whew. I'm really sorry.
Ryan: Because I insisted that we give Greenlee a chance.
Kendall: Just -- Ryan, would you stop it?
Ryan: No, it's true, Kendall.
Kendall: No, stop.
Ryan: I -- I pled to you, to Annie, and to Zach to give Greenlee a chance, to let her in, and you all warned me, and I should've listened.
Kendall: Don't you get it, Ryan? It wouldn't have made any difference. No matter what anyone said or did, there was -- there was no way that I was going to let Greenlee go, because I never stopped loving her -- until now.
Greenlee: You can't keep me prisoner, Aidan. I have to go make things right with Ryan and Kendall.
Aidan: I'm sure you will.
Greenlee: You don't know.
Aidan: Wake up, Greenlee, all right? Spike is in intensive care because of you. Now, what -- what are you going to do, huh?
Greenlee: I don't know, but I can't do it from in here.
Aidan: You are unbelievable.
Greenlee: Listen -- tell me. I need to know. How is Spike?
Aidan: I don't know.
Greenlee: You're lying.
Aidan: Am I?
Greenlee: Please, I -- I am begging you here.
Aidan: You were going to kidnap Spike, you almost got him killed. Now, what right do you think you have to know anything about that child?
Aidan: Spike is deaf, and that's all I know.
Greenlee: Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Aidan: So unless you have a medical degree or a miracle, there's really not much you can do to fix it, apart from pack your bags and get the hell out of town.
Greenlee: Yeah, because that'll fix everything.
Aidan: Do you have a better idea?
Greenlee: Everyone wants me gone, even my father, ok? So I just -- I don't want to hear it.
Aidan: They say you've done enough damage, and you won't hear it. They say stay away from his family, and you won't hear it. And now when Ryan and Kendall tell their son how much they love him, he can't hear it.
Adam: What were you thinking, Frye? Or were you too busy dirty dancing with my wife to think about anything?
Jack: All right, all right.
Tad: No, no, no, no. You do your job. I'll take care of the village idiot.
Krystal: That's ok, Derek. I appreciate the effort, but don't kick a barking dog on my account.
Adam: Tad Martin -- Tad Martin, private eye. Filled my son's head with all sorts of asinine notions like "Who's going to get the bad guy"?
Tad: "Asinine notions"? I'm not the one who raised him to think he was indestructible, that all Chandler men were made of steel.
Adam: No, he -- he didn't steal other men's wives. He didn't steal their children, and he didn't steal their families! You -- oh.
Colby: Dad? Hey, are you ok? You ok?
Ava: You are just as crazy as your old father.
J.R.: Don't even try it.
Ava: You are both so cocky and full of yourselves. Oh, yeah, money sure does buy everything.
J.R.: Including you, apparently.
Ava: Oh, shut up. I will be richer than you soon -- real soon -- and you'll see my face everywhere -- on magazines, on TV.
J.R.: In the stalls of men's rooms?
Ava: Oh, keep talking, rich boy. Just keep talking. You'll be bragging to everyone one day that you were trapped in a room with Ava Benton, and they'll be laughing in your dirty little face.
J.R.: You know what? Just get all your babble out now, because when we're out of here, I don't want to ever hear your voice ever again.
Ava: You will be hearing from me. You know what? You will be, and my lawyer, too. You called me a skank several times. Stars sue the tabloids for that stuff fall the time. I'll take you for everything you're worth.
J.R.: Well, first of all, I'm broke. Second of all, I could snap my fingers and have guys lined up from here to Philly to testify a skank is exactly what you are.
J.R.: Case closed!
Ava: Excuse me -- I can't take this anymore. Can I please sit over there?
Lenny: Sit down! Be quiet! I got to check on whether or not I got to cap you.
Derek: Chief Frye.
Lenny: Well, I've been waiting for what you promised.
Derek: Let -- let's talk.
Lenny: Yeah, let's talk. I talk, you listen. I got two hostages now, right? The supermodel and Chandler, Jr. I figure I got twice as much coming my way -- what do you think, Chief.
Derek: Look, we're doing the best we can, Lenny. Um -- but this is a two-way street.
Lenny: Oh, here's your two-way street. I got two hostages here. In five minutes time, one of them is going to die, unless you make a move. How about that, Chief?
Derek: Ok, the SWAT team's in position -- might be a time to see if we can get a good shot.
Tad: What do you mean, "get a good shot"?
Derek: This guy's getting nervous, Tad. We're running out of time.
Tad: I'm getting nervous. Look, I'm sure your sniper can tell the difference between Ava and Lenny, but what about Lenny and J.R.?
Derek: Look, my guy doesn't shoot unless he's absolutely sure.
Tad: Derek, you do whatever you have to, but you're not putting my son in the line of fire.
Jack: Tad, Tad, nobody here wants to take a chance, but Lenny's unstable. He's got a bag full of drugs in there he brought to sell to Ava. If he starts taking those things himself, this could get ugly in a hurry.
Tad: If that's the case, Jack, I'm sure you're not going to want to put her in the line of fire.
Jonathan: Everybody -- everybody, back up, please. Please back up.
Jack: Sweetheart, you shouldn't be here.
Reporter: Mr. Montgomery, can you give us any updates?
Jack: No, no comment at all.
Officer: Miss, behind the table.
Lily: No touch, no touch.
Jack: It's all right, she's with me. Honey, honey, come on in. Come on.
Lily: Dad, Ava's in danger. I saw it on the news.
Jack: Sweetheart, everything's going to be all right. Now, I want you please -- please to go home.
Lily: No! I have to make sure the bad man doesn't hurt my sister.
Ava: Fusion was my big break. I always said I would be famous, but what's it going to matter if I'm a famous freaking corpse!
J.R.: Oh, you're breaking my heart.
Ava: You should've seen their faces after the Fusion webcast. They loved me -- me, Ava! This can't be too good to be true. This time next year, I'll be strutting on a catwalk around the set of my new movie. Please, I have to be.
J.R.: Your 15 minutes are up. Boo-hoo. Get over it. We got more important things we have to deal with.
Ava: Yeah, thanks to you. You had to come in here and shoot off your big mouth.
J.R.: And you had a chance to walk out of here -- "dumb" doesn't do that justice.
Ava: Oh, right, I forgot -- I'm supposed to be thanking you for saving me from this bad, bad man. Your next brilliant idea will probably get us shot, and you know what? I hope he shoots you first so I can at least watch.
Jonathan: Lily, Ava is smart, and she's strong. She's going to come out of this just fine.
Lily: When she told me that she had another chance to model for Fusion, I asked her if she was happy, and she said yes. But it wasn't enough. If we'd have made her happier, she wouldn't have lied to you and bought more drugs.
Jonathan: No, no, no, listen -- listen to me, ok? Ava wasn't buying drugs. She was helping the police to put the drug dealer in jail. She was part of a sting.
Lily: That's an operation designed to catch a criminal by means of deceit. Was she working with law enforcement?
Jonathan: Yes. Yes, she was, so do not blame yourself for any of this. Lily, you make Ava happier than anybody in the entire world -- never doubt that.
Lily: Do you make her happy, too?
Jonathan: I hope so.
Aidan: So do you get it now, how serious this is? What you did cannot be undone, so no explanation or apology will ever be enough.
Greenlee: Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop it, stop it!
Aidan: I'm sorry, Greenlee, I am. I know you don't believe me, but I am. I mean, what happened is a terrible thing. It's a tragedy, but you must understand the seriousness of what you did. You said you wanted to have a connection with that child, and now you have, because Spike's life will be changed forever because of you. Do you understand?
Greenlee: Oh, my God. What have I done?
Adam: For heaven's sake, I'm fine.
Colby: Dad, but I thought you were --
Adam: No, you were wrong, Colby. I'm not going to die over this.
Colby: Don't pretend you don't care. Don't even try.
Krystal: Colby, it's ok. Your father doesn't need our help.
Adam: Finally something we can agree on.
Colby: You did -- you did this.
Adam: I did what?
Colby: Because of what you did to Sean -- if you hadn't tried to hurt him, none of this would be going on right now.
Adam: I didn't do a damn thing to Sean. But you believe the Montgomery's and the Martins before you'll believe your own flesh and blood.
Krystal: Colby, that's ok. Leave the bully to me, all right? I'm going to call an ambulance. I think your ticker has seen enough excitement for one day.
Adam: Nah. I'm fine. I would know if I were going to have a heart attack.
Krystal: Oh, come on, Adam. Come on, let's go. Put your head between your knees, at least.
Adam: No -- no. No, no, no, no, no. Get over it. I -- you've lost the right to nag me.
Krystal: Do you want to pass out in front of all these people?
Adam: Your maternal condescension is unnecessary and undignified.
Krystal: Doing a face plant in the sand is undignified, Adam. Look at you -- your face is red, that vein in your neck is going a mile a minute. You are on the verge of a full-scale meltdown.
Adam: No, no. A diagnosis from a -- a low-rent barkeep. How special.
Krystal: I have been there, Adam -- panic attacks. You feel like your whole world is spinning, the walls are closing in, you're sweating bullets, and -- and you can't breathe. You feel like it's never going to end, but it does. I don't have them anymore. You must've gotten them in the custody split.
Adam: My son.
Amanda: They'll be ok.
Jonathan: It'll be ok? Ava's in there right now because of your punk-ass boyfriend.
Amanda: Hey -- back off, Jon. You have no right.
Jonathan: "I have no --" when I came here, there was a gun being held to her head, Amanda.
Amanda: It's not J.R.'s fault that Ava was sent to do a cop's job.
Jonathan: "Not J.R.'s --" he's dirt, and you know it, and you can do a hell of a lot better than him.
Amanda: Oh -- huh. Oh, come on, Jonathan. Oh, come on -- this is you and me here, ok -- us. You and me and enough baggage to sink the Titanic, so let's not go around judging the people we're with now, ok?
Jonathan: Oh, God. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You're right.
Amanda: It's ok, it's -- uh. Look, J.R. -- he's fun and crazy and -- and a whole lot of other things, ok?
Jonathan: Ok, ok.
Amanda: You and Ava are -- surprising.
Jonathan: What does that mean?
Amanda: I have to admit it -- I thought she was trouble for you, and I still do, but you care for her, don't you?
Lily: Did you know that Ava was brave and tried to help catch a drug dealer?
Sean: I heard something about that, yeah.
Lily: And I'm an excellent detective, and she went undercover for the police -- isn't that an interesting similarity? My sister and I just met, but I discover that we have more in common every day.
Sean: You're right, Lily -- Ava has some serious guts.
Lily: Don't you agree, Colby?
Colby: Yeah, Ava's got guts -- can't argue that.
Lily: I'm very proud of my sister, and I want everyone to like her as much as I do. And I don't know what the percentage of hostages are released unharmed, but I hope the statistics favor Ava, because I want you to compliment her in person.
Sean: Me, too.
Babe: Hey. How are you holding up?
Amanda: Uh -- ok, I guess. Huh -- maybe not. I -- oh, this is weird. I'm scared for him.
Babe: There's a part of me that will always love J.R. because he's the father of my child, but that doesn't mean that I don't love you, too. You're my friend, Amanda, and as far as I'm concerned, we're in this together.
Amanda: I'm more than scared for him, Babe. I -- I'm petrified. I -- I mean, most of the time I just want to strangle him and just smack that smug look off his face, but -- but then there are those times --
Babe: Yeah, I know. Well, that's J.R. One minute, you want to choke the life out of him, and then the next, he does something amazing.
Amanda: Oh. We're supposed to be sipping champagne on a yacht right now. Now, I'm just hoping that he comes out of that door alive.
Ava: Oh. What --
J.R.: This guy's nuts.
Ava: You think?
J.R.: We have to do something pretty radical or this guy's going to blow.
Ava: Oh, I can feel when a real brilliant idea is coming on.
J.R.: Not -- not now. If you could just shut up and stop being an ass for a second, I think we can distract him.
[J.R. and Ava start shoving each other]
Ava: Get your paws off me!
J.R.: Is that all you got?
Ava: I will break your face!
J.R.: Yeah? Try it!
Lenny: Hey, hey, sit down!
Ava: Don't think I won't!
Lenny: Come here! Get over there! You want to die, you just say the word and I'm going to make it happen, girl.
Lenny: What are you doing?
Ava: Oh, my God.
J.R.: Give me that gun!
Ava: Get the gun, J.R.! I got his arms!
J.R.: Get off of him!
Lenny: What the hell do you think you're doing?
Ava: I got him! I got him!
J.R.: Get off of him! Give me that!
Officer: Come on, folks. Stay back, stay back, stay back!
Sniper: I do not have a shot. Say again -- no shot.
Derek: On my order.
Derek: Let the girl go, Lenny.
J.R: I've got the gun.
Derek: Move. Move.
Jack: Ava, come here! Come here, Ava!
Jonathan: Come here. Oh.
Colby: Oh, I'm so glad you're ok.
Tad: What were you thinking?
J.R.: I don't know.
Ava: Hi, everyone, it's Ava Benton. Yeah, I totally worked it. I grabbed the gun from the guy -- no big deal. Hey, you can check me out on Fusion's website.
Officer: All right, let's go back, people.
Second Officer: Come on.
First Officer: Back, people, let's go! Just go!
Second Officer: Back it up.
First Officer: Come on.
Ava: Oh, my God. Oh, that was so scary.
Jack: I think somebody here wants to see you.
[Lily puts her arms out and hugs her sister]
Kendall: I don't want to talk anymore. I just want to make sure that Spike feels our love and knows he doesn't have to be afraid.
Greenlee: I can't -- I can't go, not -- not -- not now, when -- when everyone hates me.
Aidan: So what's your plan?
Greenlee: I don't know.
Aidan: Greenlee, you have to have a plan. Too much has happened.
Greenlee: Ok, there's a solution, I'm going to find it.
Aidan: Well, what is it?
Greenlee: I don't know. But I'll find it. And when I do, if Ryan and Kendall want me gone, I will go, but -- but for now, I'm staying.
Aidan: And what makes you think my client will give you that choice?
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Krystal (to Tad): I've finally figured out why you wanted me to move in here with you.
Adam: You made me swear I would never impersonate you again.
Stuart: I take it back.
Erica (to Jack): Make Greenlee leave town -- I'm begging you.
Kendall (to Ryan): Since when are you in charge of what happens to our son?
