Greenlee: Kendall --
Kendall: Get the hell away from my son. Don't you touch my son! Stay the hell away from him!
Greenlee: I just -- I -- oh!
Kendall: Stay the hell away from my son.
Greenlee: I am so sorry --
Kendall: Stay away from him!
Zach: Kendall -- there's something wrong with Spike.
Kendall: Ok, baby, you're fine.
Nurse: What happened in here?
Zach: When the tray fell, the boy didn't react at all.
Nurse: With that noise?
Zach: Get Dr. Martin.
Nurse: But I --
Zach: Get him now.
Kendall: Spike -- Spikey, can you look at me? Come on, honey. Come on, look at Mommy. Come on, honey, look at Mommy. Can you give me a little smile? Come on, honey, give me a little smile, ok?
Ryan: Kendall, what's wrong?
Kendall: Let me see a little smile from you, ok, honey? It's ok. You're ok.
Ryan: What happened?
Zach: The tray fell, and he didn't react to it.
Kendall: You'll be fine, honey.
Ryan: He didn't react --
Zach: There was --
Ryan: What? Was -- was the --
Zach: I don't know.
Kendall: Come on, honey. Come on.
Ryan: Hey, Spike.
Kendall: Come on, honey.
Ryan: Hey, hey, hey, how's my little S-man, huh? You all right?
Kendall: He's fine, he's fine.
Ryan: Are you sure?
Kendall: He's just really tired. Yeah, he's exhausted. That was a really scary sound, huh?
Joe: Yes, the nurse filled me in on what happened. The pediatrician is on his way.
Kendall: Ok, I -- I want to know what this is.
Joe: Yes, of course, you do. We're going to examine Spike. We'll do some tests. First of all, everybody, I need you all outside. Wait outside. Please, everybody, out. I need to clear the room, ok? Let's go.
Kendall: Spike, Mama's not going anywhere, ok? I'm not going anywhere.
Zach: Come on.
Kendall: No, Joe didn't mean me.
Zach: It'll be easier if we're outside. Come on.
Kendall: No. No, I left Spike once, I won't leave him again.
Adam: Erica, what -- what an unexpected surprise.
Erica: Oh, come on, just save the small talk, Adam.
Adam: Oh, I -- I guess you're not here to follow up on my love life, huh?
Erica: No, that's a lost cause. I'm here because of the hell that my daughter and her family are going through. Kendall gave birth way too prematurely, and her baby is fighting just to survive. Her other baby is trying valiantly to -- to recover from very serious injuries, Adam.
Adam: I know, I know -- I know all about it, and I am so sorry. I sent flowers to Zach and --
Erica: Yeah, you did much more than send flowers. You cornered Zach at the hospital.
Adam: I wanted to ask him what I could do to help. Your son-in-law was not receptive, but I -- I can understand that.
Erica: Will you stop it? Will you stop lying to me? I know exactly what you did. You cornered Zach, because he has Chandler Enterprises, and now you want it back. And you're gearing up to make a move, now, when he's his most vulnerable.
Adam: He told you that?
Erica: No, he did not tell me that. He didn't have to tell me anything, Adam. I know you. I know how you operate. I know what Chandler Enterprises means to you. To you, it's like a child, and somewhere in your twisted mind, Zach has taken your flesh and blood, and now you are out to reclaim it. And so the minute Zach is distracted, that's when you go in for the kill.
Adam: No, no, Zach is the one who goes in for the kill. He grabbed my company from me when I thought my son's life was on the line.
Erica: So then you admit it? You plan to grab it back.
Adam: I offered Zach sympathy and help. He rejected both. So ends the story.
Erica: So now you are really out for blood. Because when somebody outsmarts you or takes something away from you -- oh, God, how you hate when that happens. You have to get back at them. You have to get back what they took from you, and then some. Well, don't get back at Zach. Not now.
Adam: So you're Zach's guard dog now? Is that it? You used to detest Zach Slater. You were willing to sell your soul to keep Kendall away from him.
Erica: Well, I was wrong, ok? I was wrong. Zach is a better man than I thought. He loves Kendall, and he loves the children. We've known each other a long time, Adam. I actually care for you. And I thought -- I thought you cared for me.
Adam: Oh -- Erica, of course, I do.
Erica: Well, then prove it, Adam. Please tell me what I need to hear. Don't get back at Zach.
Zach: This is not helping.
Kendall: I told you, Zach, I'm not going to leave Spike again, ok? I left him once with Greenlee, and she tried to steal him. I left him again just now when we went to the park, and there she was again. She did something to him, Zach. I know she did. Now, I have to leave Spike to go be with Ian. Now, either I -- I can't be with Ian, or I can't be with Spike.
Zach: I know, I know -- you want to be with both of them at the same time.
Kendall: Listen to me -- I know that she tried to hurt him again, Zach. I am sure of it. That is why I am staying right here with my baby.
Doctor: Mrs. Slater, Mr. Slater --
Zach: We won't be in your way. Come here.
Ryan: I don't know. Kendall and Zach aren't leaving. Maybe I should go back in there, too. What the hell are you doing here?
Amanda: Did the master ring?
J.R.: You made it.
Amanda: After bribing my hairdresser to reschedule my appointment and rescheduling three meetings, yes, I did make it. This better be good news.
J.R.: No, it's not good news. It's great news. Come here.
Amanda: Well --
J.R.: Take a seat.
Amanda: You found it? You found the money Zach stashed? Ok, ok -- how soon can I get my cut?
J.R.: Money, money, money -- is that all you ever think about?
Amanda: Coming from you, J.R., I don't know whether to laugh, or to punch a big hole in your face.
J.R.: No, I didn't get it.
Amanda: Huh -- so what was the big rush to get me here, then?
J.R.: I don't know if I should tell you now.
Amanda: Have you ever heard of PMS, J.R.? Mine could reach industrial strength if you don't spill. Ok. It's a boat.
J.R.: Oh, we don't call those "boats," Amanda.
Amanda: Ok, fine. It's a yacht. So what does that have to do with -- wait a minute. Wait a minute -- are you telling me that you bought this?
Jonathan: Hi, Lily.
Lily: Hello, Jonathan.
Jonathan: Is Ava here?
Jonathan: Ok. Has she called you? Do you have any idea where she might be?
Lily: No, and no. But you can come in if you want.
Jonathan: Um -- I would love to, but it's very important I find Ava right now.
Lily: I have to talk to you, too. It's very important. Normally, it would be a private subject, but I've been doing some research for Ava's sake, and yours.
Ava: Lenny, why are you being such a creep? Can I just give you the money and you give me the merchandise, and we're done?
Lenny: No. I'm not giving you anything until I check you for a wire.
Jack: Derek, he's on to her.
Derek: Maybe Ava can pull this off.
Jack: Oh -- now, get your men in there.
Derek: Just let her try to field this, Jack. She -- she hasn't used the code word, and if things get too hot, we'll go in there and take that punk down, believe me.
Ava: Come on, hot stuff. We cool now? Can we get back to business?
Lenny: No, not today. I don't need this.
Ava: Whoa, whoa, whoa -- where are you going?
Lenny: I'm going to find somebody else. You're too high maintenance, Ava.
Ava: Well, all the good ones are.
Lenny: I don't need your grief, or your money, ok? So, later.
Ava: Wait, hey. Who are you kidding, Lenny? This could be the biggest score of your nickel-bag life.
Jack: Oh, Ava, just let him go. Let him just walk away.
Ava: I told you we could party later. If you don't believe me, ask anybody. I know how to have a good time. We can get buzzed, see where it takes us. Come on. We both had a taste. That kiss was so hot. Just wait till you see what I can do when I'm really motivated. So come on, Lenny. You give me yours, I'll give you mine.
Joe: Inside out. Inside out.
Joe: Yeah. Now, here we go.
Annie: Any news?
Zach: Nothing yet. Stay with Kendall for a while. I'll be right back.
Ryan: I'm sorry, what are you doing here?
Greenlee: I needed to see Spike.
Ryan: Why? What -- what business is he of yours?
Greenlee: You -- you could ask me that?
Ryan: Yeah, I could ask you that. I told you to get away from us. Stay away from my family and my son. You have no business being here, Greenlee. You did this. You did this.
Greenlee: Ryan, it was an accident. It was a mistake --
Ryan: No, oh, no, no -- honestly, no. Really, it was my mistake. It was my mistake -- letting you in to share our lives. That was my mistake. I mean, Spike was the best thing that happened from you stepping foot in Pine Valley, and you just -- you just threw him away. You should have stayed away, Greenlee. Because of you, my boy is bruised, he's cut, he's sliced up. They're still trying to figure out all the damage that you did to him. I mean, how does that make you feel? I mean, really, what, like, proud, maybe, that you got back at me through my little boy? Let me tell you how I feel. It kills me that I trusted you. I trusted you, my worse nightmare.
Amanda: I do not believe this, J.R. You toss all of your shares of Chandler over to Adam. You don't have a place to hang your toothbrush full-time. You owe me 500 grand. And yet, you finance the Titanic!
J.R.: Is that what you think I did?
Amanda: What else am I supposed to think?
J.R.: Relax. I didn't spend a dime of my own money. It was a gift from a guy.
Amanda: Yeah, right.
J.R.: No, it's true. He's in the diplomatic corps. He just got transferred to central Uganda. He's invited me to yacht-sit, all expenses paid, gas is taken care of. And before you started busting my chops, I was about ready to ask you if you'd like to spend a few days with me getting -- well, shipshape.
J.R.: You know, just you and me and the ocean to play in. What do you say?
Amanda: I say -- hmm -- ok.
J.R.: Ok. If you're not too busy, we can go christen the ship right now. Come on.
Ava: You know, you're right to be careful. Paranoia's smart. And it can also be sexy. I was with this guy once. Oh, so hot. Oh. He used to put, like, 900 a day in his arm.
Derek: He's listening.
Jack: Yeah, but is it because he cares, or because he's trying to figure out what to do with her if he kills her?
Ava: I guess with a name like "Fred," you have to do something. But he did a lot. And when he did too much, I was the only one that could bring him down. But he was never better than when he was high. And I'm sure you're really good, too. Talking about this is driving me crazy. Come on, just give me a little sample. I need it so bad.
Amanda: Ok. You'd better stop.
J.R.: What -- sorry, don't mean to interrupt.
Derek: What the hell?
Ava: We're kind of busy right now.
J.R.: Don't I know you?
Lenny: I don't think so.
J.R.: Yeah, yeah, I think I do. Lenny, right?
Lenny: Yeah. So what do you want?
J.R.: Back in my good old days, Lenny used to be my --
Lenny: Easy, man.
J.R.: Facilitator of good times. Does that work for you?
Amanda: He's a dealer?
J.R.: Yeah, for those who can pay the price.
Ava: Just get lost, ok? This is none of your business.
Lenny: Ok, I get it now. I get it now. He's your backup.
Ava: No, no, I don't know these people -- they just showed up out of nowhere.
Amanda: So you're ditching Fusion to get high again? This is my business.
Lenny: You didn't come here to meet Ava?
J.R.: Ava? Oh, yeah -- Lily's slutty sister? No, no. I didn't come to meet her. In fact, I wouldn't spit on her if she was on fire.
Jack: Now, come on, Derek, she's in big trouble.
Greenlee: I didn't do anything wrong in there.
Ryan: You didn't -- you didn't "do" anything -- what? You did everything wrong, Greenlee.
Greenlee: No, no --
Ryan: You did every-- you know what? Look, stop. I hurt you, right? I ripped you up, so then come after me. Me, not my little boy, Greenlee.
Greenlee: But I didn't mean to hurt Spike! I didn't mean to hurt him!
Ryan: But you did. You did. You drove your car off the road and you nearly killed him. And you know, if that wasn't enough, you show up here? What -- what are you doing here? Why are you here? What did you do?
Greenlee: Nothing, nothing! I just -- I wanted to see him. I -- I wanted to kiss him and tell him how sorry I am, Ryan.
Ryan: Go and crawl back under a rock and just disappear, and if I ever catch you so much as breathe on my little boy again, I swear to you, I will -- I don't care where you go, Greenlee. Just -- just go.
Greenlee: Oh --
Lily: While I'm not at 100% acceptance of your and Ava's relationship, I am 89%, which is a 23% increase over the past three weeks.
Jonathan: That's great, Lily.
Lily: Your relationship with her is completely logical, and logic is calming. My head doesn't hurt anymore when I think about you two together. I just want you both to be happy.
Jonathan: Thank you. Thank you, Lily. I -- you don't have any idea at all where Ava might be?
Lily: Jonathan, I have to talk to you, it's really important. What kind of contraceptives are you using? Birth control.
Jonathan: Uh --
Lily: Look at this. Nearly 50% of all pregnancies are unplanned, even though nearly 90% of all females the ages of 15 to 44 are using contraceptives. You know what this means, don't you?
Jonathan: Uh -- that people make a lot of mistakes?
Lily: And that different methods of birth control have different rates of effectiveness.
Jonathan: Lily, we're careful.
Lily: You know, the pill has the lowest rate of failure when used correctly, only .5%. Is Ava using the pill?
Jonathan: I think that you should talk to Ava about that.
Lily: Well, you're sleeping with her. I think you should know.
Jonathan: Well, I -- and the second that I see Ava, we -- we are going to discuss this, I promise.
Lily: Oh, that's right, you have to find her -- why?
Jonathan: She said she was going to Fusion, but she's not there.
Lily: Maybe you misunderstood what she said.
Jonathan: No, I didn't. She said she had a photo shoot today, but nobody there knows anything about it.
Lily: If Ava lied to you, she's hiding something. Do you think Ava's taking drugs again?
Ava: Get out of my face, loser. This is a private --
Amanda: Drug deal?
Lenny: You didn't finance her?
J.R.: Hell, no, and if she's selling anything -- my advice, for old time's sake -- take a pass.
Jack: Oh, come on, Derek, tell me it's time here.
Derek: Looks like we're going to have to pull the plug. All units ready to move when I give the go.
Ava: He has got a stick far up his spine. I'm too much fun.
Amanda: This is so not fun.
J.R.: She set up my sister's boyfriend.
Ava: He is lying!
J.R.: She let him take the fall for a bogus drug bust just a couple months ago.
Lenny: Drug bust? What the hell you got going on, girl?
Adam: I'm guessing you rarely leave the hospital. Probably haven't slept or eaten anything decent for days, and so Lucretia made your favorite tea and some finger sandwiches.
Erica: I did not come here for tea and sympathy, Adam. I came here for your word.
Erica: I came here to have you swear to me that you will not fight Zach for your company right now, not while he and Kendall are fighting for their children's lives.
Adam: Yeah, well, they're not the only two people that are fighting, Erica. You are fighting for your sanity. That's why you're here going at me this way. I have -- believe me, I understand. I understand what you're going through. It's terrible when something happens to your children, and your children's children -- well, that's -- that's torture. How's Spike?
Erica: When I visit him, and I -- I try to reassure him, his eyes just are filled with so much confusion. I mean, he doesn't know how this all happened to him. He doesn't know who hurt him or why, and I can't explain it to him.
Adam: No. Children are resilient. Give it some time. He'll recover.
Erica: I hope so.
Adam: The baby -- um -- they named him Ian?
Erica: Yeah. I've just seen him a few times. I mean, they don't let you stay with him too long.
Adam: How's he doing?
Erica: He's surviving. He's alive. Every minute he survives is a miracle.
Adam: It's amazing what they can do with preemies now.
Erica: Well, Spike was a preemie, too. Only, he just wasn't quite as small as his little brother. I mean, the first time I went to visit Ian, I couldn't even see him. I mean, he was so tiny. He was just buried under all those tubes and wires and patches and tape. They taped his eyes closed so he can't see, because they think that will be overstimulating for him.
Erica: And he can't get near his mother or his father. This must be terrifying for him. You know, the first time I saw him lying in there, I just -- I just wanted to rip all those tubes and all those wires and the tape and everything off him. I just wanted to grab him and hold him and make him well and -- I just -- I just don't want him to die. And I don't want Spike to feel any more pain, and I don't want Kendall to feel any more pain. I just don't know what to do. I really don't know what to do.
Adam: Hey. Hey, come here.
Zach: Any news?
Adam: Hey. Hey, come here.
Zach: Any news?
Ryan: What is it? What is it? Talk to us.
Kendall: Tell us -- do you know something?
Zach: You get some results? What do you -- what do you know?
Kendall: Tell me what's wrong. Do you know what's wrong with my baby?
Joe: We've examined Spike.
Ryan: And you found out what?
Zach: What's the problem?
Joe: Well, we have questions. He is not responding normally.
Kendall: Well, that's why we called you.
Doctor: Spike's lack of response could have a number of root causes.
Kendall: What -- you don't know? I mean, all this time and you don't know?
Ryan: You must have some sort of idea about --
Joe: At this stage, we'd only be guessing, and that really wouldn't be fair to any of you.
Doctor: We can't form a diagnosis without more testing.
Ryan: Well, you got to tell us something. Like what's the worst-case scenario here?
Kendall: Could my little boy die?
Joe: Spike is not in crisis. His vitals give us no cause for alarm.
Ryan: But -- wait a minute. You just said that he's not reacting.
Joe: We can't make a diagnosis yet.
Ryan: But is -- is there damage to --
Zach: Something you didn't recognize before maybe?
Joe: Well, it's a possibility we'll explore, but it certainly is not the only one.
Kendall: Well, Spike didn't -- he didn't respond to any noise. He didn't -- not even my voice.
Ryan: You got to take care of him, Joe. You got to make sure that he's all right.
Joe: Spike's a strong little boy.
Ryan: Swear to me, Joe, that no matter what is wrong with him, he will come home with us.
Joe: I promise you, we'll find out the trouble with Spike, and we'll do everything we can to take care of it.
Kendall: He almost didn't make it into this world. And then the crash, and the operation, and the fever, and the medication, and -- huh. My little boy has been through hell. But he made it. Spike made it. And I thought everything was over, and now this. Zach, he'll make it. He'll pull through.
Kendall: Joe can't even say that, Zach.
Zach: Hey -- he'll make it. Just concentrate on that, all right?
Kendall: Whew. If he doesn't -- if Spike doesn't make it, I don't know what I'm going to do. What are we going to do?
Annie: There is no reason to fear the worst. They just need more information.
Ryan: She did this. And I helped her.
Jack's voice: This is Jackson Montgomery. Leave a message and I'll get back to you, thanks.
Greenlee: Dad -- Daddy, call me. Please call me.
Jack: Oh, come on, Derek, send your men in.
Derek: Ava still has some wiggle room. Officers storm in, Lenny could go off, hurt her, Amanda, and J.R. We have to sit tight.
Ava: Lenny, you can't trust this psycho. They're trying to ruin my score.
J.R.: She planted a bag of pills in a guy's Jacket. Somebody called the cops, he got charged with intent to distribute. Now, I say you find yourself a better class of client.
Amanda: Come on, let's go.
J.R.: No, in a minute. Don't mess with Sean and Colby!
Ava: I wouldn't waste my time!
Amanda: J.R. --
J.R.: You want to play your dirty little street games? Why don't you take it back to where you came from?
Ava: Oh, a Chandler order -- I'm so scared. You want fries with that?
J.R.: I can make your life hell.
Ava: Stuff your threats, Junior. Go and make out with Amanda or something. Leave us alone.
J.R.: You know what, Ava? Maybe I should just go ahead and take care of this myself and call the cops. How's that?
Ava: Damn it, J.R., you're ruining everything!
Lenny: What the hell is this, huh? What the hell you got going on, girl?
Ava: Nothing! Let go of my wrist!
Derek: Go. Move to positions and hold fire. I repeat, hold fire.
Greenlee: Are you going to see Spike Lavery?
Nurse: Ma'am, I got to hurry.
Greenlee: Why, what's going on?
Nurse: Are you family?
Zach: It could be anything. Let the doctors figure it out.
Kendall: He must be so scared. All these strangers around him.
Zach: Well, Joe is looking after him, and we're here keeping him strong.
Annie: Any idea how much longer?
Zach: I'll be outside. Is she gone?
Ryan: I don't know what she thinks she's going to get. Forgiveness? Absolution?
Zach: Don't worry about Greenlee. She won't be a problem anymore.
Adam: Feeling better?
Erica: Yes. Yes, I am, Adam. But it's not enough, Adam. I still want that promise from you.
Adam: All right, Erica. I promise -- I swear that I won't go after Zach.
Erica: Hello? Well, is something wrong? Tell my daughter I'll be right there.
Adam: Erica, what is it?
Erica: I have to go, Adam.
Adam: Huh. Uh -- yeah, yeah. I've just gone over the paperwork. It looks good to me. Yeah, we'll move in just as soon as everything is in place. Yeah. Chandler will be ready for a take-back. And we won't have to worry about Zach Slater, either. It's perfect karma. Perfect. He won't be able to fight us, because he'll be too worried about his children.
Ryan: This is really tough.
Zach: I know.
Ryan: I mean, you think you can protect them. You think you can keep them safe and --
Ryan: How's the little guy? How's Ian?
Zach: He's hanging in there. There's no telling.
Ryan: Kendall can deal with a lot, but -- but this --
Zach: Kendall is strong.
Ryan: But not this strong, Zach. I mean, look at her in there.
Zach: If she falls, it's my job to catch her.
Lily: Ava promised me she wouldn't take drugs anymore, but now she's lying to you. And I've done a lot of research on drug use, too, so I would know what to expect.
Jonathan: Ava's not an addict, Lily.
Lily: But she could have an addictive personality. That makes it not all her fault. Heredity can predispose a person to addiction, and relapse and experimentation with new drugs is very common.
Jonathan: I'm very worried about this, Lily. Um -- you are a great detective. Did Ava give you any hints at all where she might be today?
Lily: I haven't talked to her since yesterday. But Ava overdosed at the boathouse, so if she's taking drugs --
Jonathan: Right, I -- I know that. I've been there already, and she's not. I've also been to The Comeback. I've been to Fusion, I've been to the Yacht Club terrace. I --
Lily: Well, when I'm looking for something, I retrace my steps.
Jonathan: Well, I didn't lose my car keys, I lost Ava.
Lily: You didn't lose her. You just don't know where she is. We can't go forward, so we have to go back. Where was the last place you saw Ava?
Amanda: Hey, let her go!
J.R.: This is not -- it's not cool, Lenny.
Lenny: What did you mean, huh? What did you mean, he was going to ruin it?
Ava: My buy -- our transaction. Lenny, come on, I still need those pills, dude.
Lenny: Why, huh, good times? Get high? Huh?
Ava: Oh --
Lenny: Uh-huh. See, I knew you were wired. I knew it. You were stupid!
J.R.: No, whoa, whoa, whoa! Take it easy, all right?
Amanda: Oh, my God.
J.R.: Just --
Derek: Police. No one needs --
Ava: You can run, you can run.
Lenny: For what, huh? Give them a clear shot? I don't think so.
Derek: No one needs to get hurt!
Ava: You haven't done anything. They won't hurt you!
Lenny: Yeah, right. Shut the hell up!
Ava: Oh! Ah!
Lenny: Don't come any closer!
Derek: You can make this easy on yourself. Just toss the gun out, let the girl go, so we can talk.
Lenny: Bitch. You got a Plan B?
Derek: If you fire that gun, even point it at the sky, this gets way more serious. You're a smart guy, Lenny.
Lenny: Yeah, I used to be.
Derek: You can't walk out of this. Now just toss out the gun and give me the girl, and we can talk.
Lenny: About me spending the rest of my life in prison? I don't think so, man.
Derek: It doesn't have to be that way. You know all about deals, Lenny. Now, I'm giving you a way out of this alive. Just toss the gun out. Live to make the deal. There's always another deal to be made.
Jonathan: Ava? Hey -- Ava!
Jack: No, no, no!
Jonathan: Ava! Let her go!
Jack: No, no. Come here, stay here.
J.R.: Lenny, Lenny, Lenny, don't make this worse, all right? Just be smart, ok?
Lenny: Shut up, man! I got to think. Think, man. Stay the hell back, all of you! You even as much as blink at me, you're going to be wearing this girl's guts!
Kendall: So? What do you know?
Joe: We have some results.
Lenny: Back off, or the girl is dead!
Jonathan: Let her go!
Derek: We can end this now, Lenny. Just put the gun down.
Amanda: We should have walked away.
J.R.: Look, it was me, ok? I pushed it.
Amanda: J.R., don't!
Jonathan: Hey, stay out of this, Chandler!
Jack: All right, just everybody, calm down.
Lenny: I said back off. I mean it.
Derek: Don't make this worse than it already is, son. We can still make a deal.
Lenny: Uh-uh. No deals. I'm a two-time loser. Three strikes means life in prison, and I ain't going back there!
Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
J.R.: Wait, you're letting this guy just take her?
Derek: The perimeter is covered. He won't get far.
Jack: J.R., what the hell were you thinking about, walking into the middle of this?
J.R.: How did I even know that -- what this even was?
Jonathan: Forget about him! How do we get Ava back safe?
[Ava pants as she and Lenny run into a shack]
Ava: What? This is so stupid, Lenny.
Lenny: Shut up.
Ava: What, you think you're going to get off now? Are you serious?
Lenny: I said shut up!
Ava: You are so screwed, man!
Lenny: You set me up, bitch. Give me this. You listen up. You call this number, now. What's your cell?
Ava: Oh, you've called it before.
Lenny: I said give them the number!
Ava: It's 215-555-0165.
Lenny: Thank you. You better pray they give me what I want.
Joe: We've done basic audiometrics. We have insufflated his tympanic membranes to check for movement. We've checked his cranial nerves, his balance, the nerves in his eyes. The condition is not life-threatening.
Kendall: Oh --
Annie: That's great news.
Ryan: Oh, so -- so Spike is going to be all right?
Kendall: Are you sure -- are you sure now? I mean, no -- what about -- what about his brain? What about the damage?
Joe: There's no brain damage.
Kendall: Oh, good.
Zach: Will you listen to the man?
Ryan: That's incredible.
Kendall: There's something else. No, there's something else. There's something else. Something is wrong. I know something else is wrong.
Zach: Honey --
Kendall: No, no, there's something that you're not telling us. There's bad news. Tell us what it is.
Joe: We don't know if the condition is temporary or permanent. Spike didn't respond to the sound of the falling tray or the sound your voice, because he couldn't hear them. Spike is deaf.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Sean (to Tad): You're putting me on notice. I'm not going to hurt Colby again.
Derek (to Jack): J.R.'s going to get himself killed.
J.R. (to Lenny): I can help you get away.
Annie: Like we'll live a happy and full life.
Ryan: You don't know that.
Annie: You know more than you think.
Kendall (to Joe): My son will not be deaf, I won't accept that.
