Amanda: Will we ever get out of this pit? What if we don't? What if they kill us?

J.R.: We're going to get out of here soon. I'm sure of it.

Amanda: And then there's the whole "you being nice to me" thing -- totally freaky, not that I'm complaining. Who knew? You as a hostage, a kinder, gentler J.R.

J.R.: I'm sorry that you got caught up in this, ok? When we get out of here, I'm going to make it up to you, I promise.

Amanda: For what? You have zero to make up for. You didn't ask to be kidnapped.

[Door opens]

J.R.: Did my father give you the money?

Amanda: Can we go? Hey -- let go!

J.R.: Let her go! Come on, let her go!

Amanda: J.R.!

Man: Don't move.

J.R.: Amanda!

Amanda: Help!

J.R.: Amanda!

Kendall: You started it, I finish it.

Greenlee: Hi.

Kendall: Ok.

Greenlee: Oh, hi. Hi, little man. Oh -- you're so perfect. Oh, I'll take your binky. Hi, little man. You're so big and perfect. He feels amazing.

[Spike fusses]

Greenlee: Oh! Oh! Yes, that's your Auntie Greenlee's earring. Oh, God. And you're so beautiful. Yes, you are. Did you know that I knew you before you were born? I used to dream about you. Yes, I did. Yes, I did.

Greenlee: I can't do this. I'm -- I'm sorry. Thank you for -- thank you for letting me hold him. I can't -- I just can't -- I can't do this right now, please. Thank you.

Ryan: Greenlee, are you all right?

Greenlee: Yeah, yeah.

Kendall: Greenlee, wait --

Ryan: Whoa, hold on, Greenlee --

Kendall: Greenlee --

Zach: Wow. God, it always gets a little teary, man. That was -- that was really nice. Is it everything you expected, Greenlee holding Spike? Now everything's all right with the world?

Ryan: It wasn't wrong, Zach.

Zach: You forced Kendall, for what? Anybody happier? Make any difference to you, Annie --

Kendall: No, no one forced me, Zach. I wanted to let Greenlee hold Spike, I chose to do that.

Zach: Ryan chose. You followed.

Ryan: I was just trying to find some middle ground, trying to find a way to help her through this.

Zach: You manipulated her.

Ryan: I manipulated her?

Zach: Yep, and you poured it on. Her connection, Greenlee's connection to Spike, and now she needs to be in our family -- very nice.

Kendall: No. No, no one forced me to do anything, Zach.

Zach: Ok. So if Ryan hadn't pulled this, you would've offered for Greenlee to hold Spike yourself?

Kendall: Yes, I think, sooner or later.

Zach: Yeah?

Kendall: Yeah.

Zach: Why? For what? To solve problems? No. Make people happy? No. Resolutions? No.

Ryan: Were you here just a minute ago? How about her dropping the custody suit?

Zach: You're right. Now all we have to do is sit here and wait to see what she does next.

[Spike fusses]

Kendall: Shh, shh, shh.

Ryan: You know what? Greenlee deserves to be in Spike life, deserves to be part of this family to some degree, all right? And it's not going to happen overnight. It's going to take time, we'll work it out, but she does not deserve to be on the outside looking in.

Zach: He's right. Greenlee lost an awful lot. You want this one? Yeah. But maybe what we should do is help her by finding her her own life.

Ryan: See, the problem with that is that what we did do is we helped her out of her old life. Do you remember? I played dead. Do you remember? You destroyed her fertilized eggs, Kendall used her own eggs. She deserves at least this.

Zach: Yeah, ok. So you feel that you owe Greenlee? All right, owe her anything you want. Kendall owes her nothing. If you want to go ahead and parcel out your life, you go ahead and do that. Do not, for one second, presume that you can parcel out ours.

[Annie runs out of the room in tears]

Zach: How far you going to go? What are you going to do to give Greenlee what she deserves? You willing to sacrifice your marriage?

Kendall: This isn't good, Zach. Maybe I should go after Greenlee.

Zach: No. It's Ryan's party. Let him handle the fallout.

Ryan: What are you doing?

Annie: Honeymoon's off.

Jamie: Hey.

Julia: Hi.

Jamie: You wanted to talk? But if now is not a good time --

Julia: No, no. Now's as good a time as any. Uh -- I've been thinking ever since I took that pregnancy test --

[Door closes]

Di: Hey. Have either of you guys seen Amanda lately?

Jamie: Uh -- the last time was in the kitchen around 1:00 a.m. She beat me to a drumstick sometime last week.

Di: You?

Julia: No. I guess it's not that unusual -- big house, busy schedules.

Di: Yeah, that's what I thought, but Del just called and she hasn't been at ConFusion for the last couple of days. There's been no phone calls, no messages, and she's not answering her cell. I'm starting to get worried.

J.R.: Come on, don't hurt Amanda, ok? You hear me? Don't hurt her. She didn't do anything wrong. You ok? You ok? Did he hurt you? I swear to God, if he hurt you, I'll break his neck.

Amanda: They didn't. I'm all right.

J.R.: Ok. Ok, why don't we sit down. Are you sure you're ok?

Amanda: They didn't touch me.

J.R.: You're shaking.

Amanda: They knew my name, where I work, where I live. They even know who my roommates are.

J.R.: What? That's crazy.

Amanda: It's creepy! I hate this! I want to get out of here now!

J.R.: I'm sure we're going to be out of here soon.

Amanda: Yeah, well, stop telling me that everything's going to be ok, and let's get out of here.

J.R.: I've already thought about it. If I knew how to get out of here, I would've already been all over it!

Amanda: Listen, there is. I heard those goons talking. One of them is going for supplies, which means the other is going to be alone. Ok, this is our chance, J.R. I know how to break out of here.

Ava: Mmm! Oh, gorgeous. Note to self -- thank Jonny for the bank. Best 500 I ever spent. What's wrong with you? What, you don't like the color? It's blue streak. Cool, huh? You want to give me a second coat?

Sean: What will you give me if I do?

Ava: What do you want?

Sean: Some more of that action that got me in trouble.

Ava: Oh, bad boy. Too bad your Uncle Jack said that kind of action's strictly forbidden, and I ain't ruining these.

Sean: Yeah, you can do what I want without smudging a nail.

Ava: Doesn't sound like too much fun for me.

Sean: Remember that little treat you put in my jacket before prom? Well, I got a little taste before I got busted, and I want to do it again, with you. I score, we share -- mutual high. And we can ride that wherever you want to go. What do you say? Hook me up with your source.

Lily: Don't! You have to stop!

Sean: Lily, we weren't --

Lily: The bottle is tipping at approximately a 20-degree angle. If it spills over, it could get on the carpet or on the table. Don't make any sudden movements!

Sean: Thanks for the heads-up.

Lily: Nail polish is very hard to remove from surfaces such as wood or wool. Dad wouldn't like it.

Sean: Yeah, he's already on edge with me. You saved the day, Lily. Here, let me help you with that.

[Knock on door]

Ava: Ok, fine. Don't mind me, I'll get it. If I ruin these toes, I swear --

[Knock]

Ava: I'm coming! Jonathan! You, uh, here to collect your money back? It's a little too late. I spent it on a good cause, though.

Jonathan: I'm here to see Lily.

Ava: Oh, right. Of course, you are. Lily? It's for you. It's Jonathan.

Aidan: With everything that's been going on with her mom, Adam kidnapping Jenny, poor little Amanda's been under a lot of stress recently.

Jamie: I should've paid more attention to her when we were having our conversation. I just thought she was ok.

Di: Fusion's been so crazy. That's certainly not an excuse. I mean, what kind of friend am I to not even notice that she's been gone?

Julia: Well, maybe we should call the police, file a missing person's report.

[Knock on door]

Di: Hi. Have you heard from Amanda?

Del: Oh, yeah, sorry I sounded the alarm. She's fine. Sorry.

Amanda: If you can come up with a better plan, let's hear it.

J.R.: We are not going to escape.

Amanda: My idea will work.

J.R.: And if it doesn't, you could get hurt.

Amanda: I'll take my chances.

J.R.: No, it is too dangerous. If we get caught, we don't know what these gorillas will do to us.

Amanda: If we stay, it's the same thing.

J.R.: No. They get the ransom, and they will let us go.

Amanda: Or kill us.

J.R.: No. No, no way is that going to happen.

Amanda: Why are you so sure now that your father's going to come through for you?

J.R.: He has to.

Amanda: A few days ago, you were writing your obituary, "Tell my son I love him." And now you're all about the hope, "We be nice, they'll be nice, too"?

J.R.: There's no way that I'm going to jeopardize your life with some sort of risky escape attempt.

Amanda: Listen, one of them is gone, which means the other one is alone. This may be our only shot, J.R. We can take him.

J.R.: Will you just relax, all right? We will get out of here.

Amanda: You keep saying that. God. You know, I kept hoping that somebody would miss us and find us and tell the police. We'd be reporting missing and saved.

J.R.: I'm sure everyone is doing everything that they can.

Amanda: Not anymore, not my friends, not after Del gets the voicemail that those jerks just made me leave.

Amanda's voice: I didn't realize how much I needed to get away. Then my friend calls and invited me sailing around Fiji -- surf and sun, I couldn't say no. Would you ask Jonathan to cover for me at ConFusion? Tell him I owe him bigtime. And tell the Wildwinders I'm sorry I took off without saying anything.

Di: There you go.

Del: I guess Amanda needed to take a little break.

Amanda: The only way out of here is if we do it ourselves. We can't wait for someone to help us.

J.R.: No, it's too risky.

Amanda: Well, I don't get this "roll over and play dead" routine. Don't to protect me.

J.R.: These guys are calling the shots. We do something to tick them off, it could make things worse.

Amanda: So we'll stick around at the mercy of these idiots?

[Door opens]

Amanda: Ok, follow my lead.

[Amanda groans]

Man: Chow.

Amanda: Oh, help me.

Man: What's wrong with you?

Amanda: Please -- oh.

Man: What's this?

J.R.: I don't know. She was fine a minute ago.

Man: Back up!

Amanda: Oh, it hurts.

Man: What's the problem? Ooh -- oh!

[Amanda kicks the man in the shin]

Amanda: Let's go. Come on, let's get out of here.

J.R.: There could be an army up there. I'm not going to take that chance.

Amanda: I will. Come on.

J.R.: No, not with your life.

Amanda: It's my life, my choice.

J.R.: I don't care!

Man: You're not going anywhere!

Amanda: Ah!

J.R.: Hey.

Amanda: Oh! No!

J.R.: No, don't! Come on, Amanda.

Amanda: Oh!

J.R.: Come here.

Amanda: No, let go of me! Oh, my God! What is wrong with you?

Lily: You can have this if you want.

Jonathan: What is it?

Lily: It's items from our wedding day.

Jonathan: It's our marriage certificate. It's your wedding dress, and it's a bouquet of flowers. Lily, I -- I can't accept these. Those are yours.

Lily: But I don't want them anymore. Our wedding was 368 days ago, and these things make me remember. I don't want to remember.

Jonathan: You -- you want to forget our wedding?

Lily: If you want to remember it, you should take the box, or I'll have to throw it all away.

Ava: What do you think you're doing?

Sean: Trying to help you relax. Look, why don't we get some happy pills? We can be happy together. I really missed you -- a lot.

Ava: How stupid do you think I am?

Kendall: Did you see the look on Greenlee's face after she held Spike? The pain and the loss. I've seen that look before, right after her miscarriage.

[Kendall flashes back to Greenlee in a hospital bed]

Kendall: Do you remember last night? You were in trouble. And, um, Dr. Madden had to rush you here. Greenlee, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You had a miscarriage.

Zach: I know you feel for Greenlee, and I know you want to help her. But how far are you willing to go? What are you willing to lose? Because you will lose something.

Emma: Why aren't Mommy and Daddy ready to go?

Ryan: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Annie, Annie, this trip, it's for us -- for you, me, Emma, and Spike.

Annie: And Greenlee. She's part of us now, right? "She deserves to be" -- your words.

Ryan: Annie, don't. Don't --

Annie: It's the perfect way to help her blend into the family, right? Hey, when we get back, should we move? Is this place going to be big enough, or will Greenlee be able to blend in? Shouldn't really be too hard, she was in here first, right?

Ryan: Ok, look, it's been hard on all of us --

Annie: No, no!

Ryan: It has.

Annie: It's been difficult. Kendall is difficult. This is impossible. Kendall, I could work with, understand. She's the mother of your child. But who the hell is Greenlee? And where do you get off handing her a piece of my life?

Kendall: Well, your mommy and daddy are almost ready to go. I am sure of it.

Emma: I'll help them pack. I'm very good of it.

Zach: Hmm. I'll bet you are, but maybe what you should do is find Rachael and Spike and help him so he brings all his favorite toys. Ok?

Emma: Ok.

Kendall: Ok. All right, see you later.

Kendall: Well, it's going to be some honeymoon.

Zach: Annie's been married for about two weeks. And the only thing her new husband can think about is his old wife, what he can do for her. How do you think that makes Annie feel?

Kendall: Uh -- not good, I'm sure. None of us like it, Zach. But you're wrong. I do owe Greenlee.

Zach: You owe her for what? You offered her a baby. She rejected you and the child, so what do you owe her for?

Kendall: I don't know. I don't know what. I don't know how. I just know that I -- I owe her something. And I was hoping today would be the start of trying to figure it out.

Zach: Yeah, well, at least you saw that it was a mistake to have her hold Spike.

Kendall: No, no, I'm talking about it was a mistake to try to do it in front of a crowd. That's not how it should have been. It should have been Greenlee and I and Spike. That's how it was in the beginning -- Greenlee and I, we were a team. She was so excited about this baby, even before the baby was born, but when he was just a dream. And she proved that it was right for her and Ryan to have a child together. And we were so thrilled about the possibility of making this dream come true. And now Simone's dead. I have Spike. And Greenlee is alone without a child.

[Running to Fusion's rooftop, Greenlee recalls holding Spike]

Greenlee: Hi, little man. Oh.

Ryan: Look, you don't owe Greenlee anything, all right? But I do. I do. She had her heart set on a child, and I had a vasectomy without her even knowing about it --

Annie: Stop it! Stop, Ryan!

Ryan: And I rode my bike off a cliff --

Annie: I don't want to hear it!

Ryan: And she got pregnant!

Annie: I don't want to hear it anymore. When you and I said our vows, she was not part of the package.

Ryan: So what do you want me to do? You want me just to walk away? Because I can't do that.

Annie: So you just invite her into our lives?

Ryan: She deserves to be included. We can make it work.

Annie: Oh, I am so sick of hearing that. How, Ryan?

Ryan: Wow. Look, I don't have all of the answers, all right? And I will not ask any more of you than you're willing to give.

Annie: Oh, I think you already have.

Ryan: Look, Annie --

Annie: No, stop. Stop. This isn't something that -- that throwing sand on the ground is going to fix, Ryan.

Ryan: Look, why don't you just repack, ok, please? We'll go on this trip. Everything's going to be fine.

Annie: I don't know. Just go.

[Annie throws a hanger at the bedroom door as Ryan shuts it after him]

Annie: Ugh!

Ava: Did you really think that some "E" and hooking up with me was going to get me to fess up to setting you up? I didn't do that!

Sean: Ok, and I should believe you because --

Ava: Why would I? Uh, because you treat me like dirt, and you practically let Colby call me a whore. Whatever, I've heard worse.

Jonathan: I don't want to forget the day that we got married or forget any of the times that we had together, Lily.

Lily: Do you want the box?

Jonathan: I'm sorry that you want to forget. I was never happier than I was when I was with you. Sometimes, Lily, I think that I'll never be that happy again.

Lily: Well, the future can't be predicted, but statistically, you will be happy again.

Jonathan: I'll take it, if that's what you want.

Lily: Thank you.

Ava: Look at yourself, getting all worked up because you think that big, bad beeyotch Ava set you up. And why? Because I got my mushy feelings hurt? No, don't think so. You're not worth it.

Sean: You had access to my tux.

Ava: So what? Cuff me, Officer. Officer Stupid. Why don't you just leave the detective work to Lily?

Lily: I can teach you detective skills. It's easy. I learned from books, and you can learn from me.

Ava: Oh, he does not have the chops or the moves.

Lily: Need any chops or special moves. All you have to do is just gather clues. Sean thinks that someone planted drugs in his tuxedo pocket and then placed an anonymous call to the police. Did you have any new leads, any suspects?

Sean: Not yet, but I'm getting close.

Ava: Good luck, Sherlock.

Ava: So, Lily, what's up with you inviting Jonathan over? That's a little weird, isn't it?

Lily: I gave him a box of items from our wedding day.

Ava: Why did you do that?

Lily: It's not working.

Ava: What's not working?

Lily: If the items that trigger the memories are gone, shouldn't the memories be gone, too? I gave him the dress and the bouquet and the certificate, but I still remember how I felt.

Ava: Well, maybe that's not such an awful thing.

Lily: I don't want to remember those feelings, or our wedding day, or being Jonathan's wife. I hope it doesn't take much longer.

Amanda: How could you wimp out? We totally had him. We'd be on the other side of that door right now!

J.R.: It never would have worked.

Amanda: All you had to do was back me up, say I was sick, and jump him, but you played clueless. Well, when we could have run, you held me back. I swear to God, you like being a hostage.

Di: Well, I'm glad Amanda is just taking some time off, just getting her head together, sailing the tropics.

[Di laughs]

Di: It's not a bad way to do it. Ok, yeah. Well, talk to you guys later.

Jamie: You have barely said "Good morning" to me since the pregnancy thing.

Julia: "Pregnancy scare" -- you actually used the word "scare."

Jamie: That was a poor choice.

Julia: I wanted that test to be positive, Jamie. I wanted to be pregnant. I want to have a baby.

Jamie: I know.

Julia: And I thought maybe it would be with you. You're so good with Kathy. And the two of you have gotten so close. And she loves you, and she trusts you. I assumed that you would be as excited about a baby as I am. When I saw your reaction to that test -- not excited. Definitely not ready.

Jamie: Yeah, but that doesn't mean I never will be. All right? I love you, Julia. I want a family with you someday.

Julia: I love you, too, Jamie. But "someday" just isn't good enough. You're the best, Jamie. I just can't forget where we both are anymore.

Jamie: But that doesn't mean we have to end this.

Julia: We're just at really different places in our lives. You're just beginning med school. The possibilities are huge. They're endless. What you will end up doing, where you'll do it. Your reaction to my almost being pregnant was really honest.

Jamie: It was. I guess I didn't want to see it, either.

Julia: I've wanted a family for years. And I couldn't have one, not on the run with Noah. And then when Kathy came into my life, it changed everything. Being her mother is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. She's changed my whole world. And to take care of her, to keep her safe, to give her a happy life -- that is all I want. And that includes building a family, giving her a little brother or a little sister, and I don't want to wait.

Jamie: You shouldn't have to.

Julia: This has to be over. Trying to make it work, to force something isn't good for either of us. Um -- these are my family leave papers.

Jamie: But you're not taking Kathy until next --

Julia: I'm leaving tomorrow.

Jamie: Oh.

Julia: Moving it up just seemed to make sense.

Jamie: I really thought I could make you happy.

Julia: You did. You really did.

[Julia kisses Jamie and leaves the room]

Jack: Sean, you wanted to see me? So what's wrong, or don't I want to know?

Sean: I know who planted the Ecstasy in my pocket and who tipped off the cops -- Ava.

[At the boathouse, Lily remembers]

Jonathan: Happy New Year, Lily!

Lily: Happy New Year, Jonathan!

Lily: Ok. I think I'm ready to try it the ice.

Jonathan: Ok.

Lily: Are you coming?

Jonathan: Yeah. Yeah, here I come. Hey. No, cut it out. I told you that I want this to be a surprise.

Lily: But I don't want a surprise. Just one peek?

Jonathan: No.

Lily: But it's my schedule, too.

Jonathan: You -- you really want to see it? But you have to catch me first.

Lily: Jonathan!

Jonathan: I'm right here.

Lily: Oh!

Jonathan: I'm right here.

Man: Long time no see. You still owe me, sexy.

Lily: I don't owe you anything.

Man: I only gave you the product because you promised you were good for the rest of the cash.

Lily: I didn't promise you anything. I've never met you.

Man: You think you're going to con your way out of this? You owe me. Pay up now.

Amanda: You want to be BFFs with these goons, go for it. I'm getting out of here.

J.R.: There is no way out.

Amanda: Uh! Here, help me with this. If we break it, maybe it'll cause a flood.

J.R.: Oh, yeah, yeah. Then we can build an ark and sail out of here.

Amanda: If we break it and it floods, they'll have to move us to fix it. God, why are you being like this? At the very least, we can use it as a weapon. We can't do the sick routine again. You blew that. We'll have to think of another way to get them down here.

J.R.: Will you just give it up, Amanda?

Amanda: You distract them, I'll hit whoever's closest. Come on.

J.R.: And get yourself killed. Forget it.

Amanda: Yeah. Way better to stick around and be at the mercy of these freaks. Damn it!

J.R.: They won't hurt us, Amanda.

Amanda: Do you hear yourself? You are flipping J.R. Chandler, mogul at-large, and you're sounding like some kind of victim. what's it called? The Stockholm whatever? Where the hostage totally goes along with the kidnappers.

J.R.: Listen to me, they will not hurt us.

Amanda: You have some crystal ball stashed somewhere?

J.R.: Their names are Bob and Vince. They're my employees.

Sean: Look, Ava was there when I was getting ready for prom. She was alone with my tux jacket. She had plenty of time to dump the pills in the pocket.

Jack: Wait, wait -- why would she do that? I thought you and Ava were close.

Sean: No, no, because in her mind, I dumped her for Colby. She busted me with the cops. Payback.

Jack: Ava, could I see you down here, please, now?

Ava: Is there a problem?

Jack: Yes. Yes, I think there is.

Man: Give me the money. 100, now.

Lily: I don't owe you any money.

Man: Look, this little stupid routine -- it's getting old, ok?

Lily: But I've never met you. I couldn't have promised you anything. I don't owe you money.

Man: You don't want to give me the money? That's fine, that's cool. I'll just take it.

Lily: Don't touch, don't touch!

Kendall: Ryan, I'll talk to Annie.

Ryan: I appreciate it, but I just don't think it's going to help very much.

Zach: I agree. It's probably best just leave them alone.

Kendall: It would have been best if this never happened, but it did.

Ryan: It's just that Emma was really looking forward to this trip, and now it might not happen. And I don't know what I'm going to say to her if Annie decides not to go.

Zach: I think Emma's going to be fine. That's not your major concern right now.

Ryan: Yeah, well, we'll work it out. My marriage is --

[Footsteps]

Annie: Well, let's get this trip started.

Ryan: We are going to have such an incredible time.

Emma: Mommy and Daddy, let's go.

Annie: Oh, ok.

Kendall: Oh. Thank you.

Zach: Hey, little man.

Kendall: Sleepy boy. All right, my little sleepy boy. Oh, I am going to miss you so much -- so much. But I'll see you real soon, ok? See you real soon.

Amanda: We've been kidnapped by Chandler employees? You recognized them, even with their masks? Oh, this is just great!

J.R.: Look, you don't understand.

Amanda: Sure I do. If Bob and Vince realize you can identify them, we're buried. All the more reason for us to get out of here. Our lives are not worth dirt.

J.R.: Bob and Vince are my employees. They take my orders. We are not hostages.

Amanda: You set this whole thing up?

J.R.: Yes.

[Amanda slaps J.R.]

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Zach (to Adam): Every idiot knows your son isn't worth $100 million. Let the kidnappers keep him. We'll take Chandler Enterprises the easy way.

J.R. (to Amanda): You going to narc on me?

Amanda: No. I want a piece of the action.
