Bianca: Hey. What do you think? Too busy?
Zoe: Not if you're selling mascara to Miranda. It has a sort of finger paint quality to it, don't you think?
Bianca: that's what it is. Speaking of which -- she cannot stop playing with that music box you had made for her with your song. She's over the moon.
Zoe: That makes two of us.
Bianca: Why is that?
Zoe: Why do you think?
Jack: Come in, please. Did you forget your key?
Erica: Are the lawyers here yet?
Jack: They'll be here any moment.
Erica: The house is quiet.
Jack: Yeah, well, Sean's at school and Lily's at her first day of her new job working for Zach.
Erica: You've got to be kidding.
Jack: No. She's very excited about it. And Barbara is wherever Barbara is. I don't know whether she'll be gone for the morning, as well.
[Erica sadly recalls their first day in the new house]
Erica's Voice: Jack? What is this place?
Jack: You know, I would have had it gift-wrapped, but I understand there's a bit of a ribbon shortage right now.
Erica: What are you talking about?
Jack: Our new house.
Jack's Voice: My gift to us.
Jack: It's not too late, you know. We could move this to an attorney's office, if you'd rather --
Erica: Oh, no, I'm fine.
Jack: It's not very comfortable to do it here.
Erica: Well, but I think lawyers' officers are -- are very depressing. We can do this without drama, can't we?
Jeff: Get her up here like this.
Tad: Get her up.
Jeff: Now, is your water broken?
Krystal: Does it look like my water's broken?
Babe: Mama, please, calm down. You need to listen to him.
Krystal: Oh -- you know what? You're trying to make Adam look like he is crazy, and your brother is the crazy one.
Tad: Babe is right. You have to stay calm. Let Jeff look at you.
Krystal: He's looking at me!
J.R.: Hey, Jeff, do you need anything?
Babe: Mama, you need to relax, please.
Krystal: Yeah, relax. I got a watermelon-sized little girl on the way, and my husband is in an asylum. This is like a spa!
Jeff: No, no -- your pulse is up, but I'm not feeling any contractions.
Tad: Your husband the saint glued you into that room, along with me last night. What if this had happened then?
J.R.: Well, you might have had to deliver a baby.
Jeff: Now, is this the same kind of pain that you were feeling a few months ago?
Krystal: No, no. This -- this is much sharper. It's way more intense. You know, Adam really should be here.
Tad: Oh, yeah, that'd help.
Janet: Adam Chandler? Ooh! I wasn't sure my meds were still working. You're really real?
Adam: Get the hell away from me!
Janet: Now, anger is only going to get you an extra dose around here.
Amanda: Mom -- I was wondering where you -- what is this? What -- why are you here, Adam?
Jamie: He's getting exactly what he deserves.
Kendall: Yes, Lily, I think it's -- it's -- it's awesome that you're working for Zach. It's great. Right, but when he told you to hold all calls, that didn't mean me. Well, because I'm his wife. Oh -- it's -- it's just different. Ok, look, why don't you ask him? I'm sure when he hears that it's me, he'll be totally cool with it, and he won't mind you interrupting him. Yes, I realize that, but sometimes you have to interrupt people if it's important, so -- Lily, please. Can you just ask him? Please, just this once?
Zach: Do I know you?
Woman: I'm so homesick, so alone in this great big house. Thank God you're here to talk to, Alex.
Zach: Oh, my God -- Hannah.
Hannah: Alex, aren't you going to give your friend a hug?
Zach: I looked for you for so long. Um --
Hannah: Well, you're not the only one who knows how to hide.
Zach: Uh -- I don't know what to say. How -- how long have you been here?
Hannah: A day or two. That girl was right. I have been checking you out.
Zach: You have, huh? You've caught me completely off-guard. I --
Hannah: I also saw you at the cemetery.
Zach: So you know?
Hannah: Yes. I saw our son's grave.
Kendall: Oh, Lord. You'd think Lily was Secret Service and Zach was the president.
Bianca: Did he give her a headset, too?
Josh: Where's Babe? Or did J.R. lock her up?
Kendall: You're here for Babe? Babe? Ok, never mind your sisters or that we're trying to get our company up and running again?
Josh: Sorry. What can I do for you?
Bianca: Uh -- how about making nice with Mom?
Josh: No, thanks.
Kendall: Hey! Come back, please, please. Ok, Josh, Mom is meeting with the lawyers today for the divorce.
Bianca: She is going to be all kinds of upset.
Josh: Your point is?
Bianca: She's going to need support, like from her family.
Kendall: Yes, and that includes you, champ.
Josh: You two can handle it just fine.
Kendall: Josh, listen to me. It's over, ok? Babe is alive, everybody knows it, everyone knows she's staying in Pine Valley. Mom's part is done. So please, just get over it.
Josh: Not interested.
Bianca: You think that you're the only person she's interfered with?
Kendall: Yeah, we're not telling you to agree with her, to say that she's right, but just -- just deal with it, let it go.
Josh: Do you have an opinion on the matter here?
Zoe: Uh -- don't get me involved with family matters.
Bianca: Oh, no, no, please, involve yourself. It's going so well over here.
Zoe: Actually, Ms. Kane told me how much that she loves you. So -- she's your mother. It's in the job description to drive you stark-raving mad. Cut the woman some slack.
Erica: Some of the photos are not in their place.
Jack: Yeah, that's Barbara. She keeps moving them around.
Erica: Yeah, I'm sure she would. Well, Lily will put them back where they belong.
Jack: Listen, do you want -- do you want a cup of coffee? Cup of tea? If you're hungry, I can make some sandwiches, if you'd like.
[Erica recalls a happier day when Jack was feeding her]
Jack: Let me know if you change your mind. I make a great hero, trust me.
Erica: Oh. Yeah- no, thank you.
Jack: Excuse me.
Jack: Hi, Livia. John, thanks for coming.
John: Jack -- hello, Erica.
John: Are you ready?
Erica: Yes, I'm ready.
Livia: Are you ok?
Jack: I'm as ok as I'm going to be, I think.
Livia: Let's get started, shall we?
Erica: Ahem --
John: Why don't we talk assets? Let's start with the house. We should liquidate it, and then divide up the proceeds.
Erica: Sell the house? Oh, no, we -- we can't do that. This is Lily's house, and this is Sean's house, and -- and you have to keep it.
Jack: Well, this house was meant to be our home.
Erica: Well, it was -- it was meant for a family, and your family is still living here. I -- I'm going to move back to my penthouse.
Livia: The house stays.
John: What's next?
Livia: Let's talk about gifts.
Colby: My dad is not crazy.
Nurse: We don't use that word here, dear.
Colby: Ok, he's upset. His wife is having some other guy's baby. I mean, wouldn't you be a little worked up?
Nurse: There's nothing I can do.
Colby: As soon as my father's lawyer gets out of court, he'll be coming straight over here to crack some skulls! And you, Shelly, will be at the top of his list, unless you get me to see my dad.
Adam: Amanda, get your insane mother out of my sight.
Janet: I'm not going to take that personally, because I understand what it's like.
Adam: Well, I hope it's sticking
Jamie: You keep telling yourself that.
Amanda: Mom, we have to go.
Janet: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Once you get started on your meds, you're going to feel so much better.
Adam: I don't need any meds.
Janet: Oh, ok. Well, I'd be happy to give you the 411 on everybody here. Joey, for example -- he really likes puppets.
Amanda: Mom -- come on, you promised to show me your lanyards.
Janet: Ok. And stay away from the guy who makes the tiger sounds.
Amanda: Let's go.
Adam: You will regret this. No one does this to me.
Jamie: Well, I just did.
Adam: I'm a very patient man when it comes to settling scores.
Jamie: Listen up. I have two things to say to you. One, leave my father the hell alone. You don't, and you won't even see me coming.
Adam: I step on people like you just getting out of bed.
Jamie: Two, Krystal's baby is my sister. You go after her or her mother again, and you'll wish you were back in that straitjacket.
Adam: You're going to lose this battle, kid. You're going to lose -- big.
Jeff: You said you ate this morning?
Jeff: There's a very good chance this might be indigestion.
Krystal: Look, this doesn't feel like a tummy ache, doc.
Babe: Well, is there at least something that we can give her?
Jeff: Well, you're going to have to ride this one out forthright. Now, the best thing you can do is to get up and try and walk around, hmm?
Jeff: And lay off the stress.
Krystal: Oh -- too late for that.
Babe: Ok, Mama, let's just walk. J.R., I promised Little A I'd read him a story before lunch. Do you mind?
J. R.: I'm on it.
Babe: Thank you. All right.
Jeff: Easy. that's it.
Babe: Feel better up? Take it slowly, then.
Krystal: I know. I got it.
Babe: I've got her.
Krystal: Oh --
Jeff: How you doing? Well, I know this can't be easy.
Tad: It's not. So just tell me, what about Krystal and the baby?
Jeff: Well, they're going to be fine.
Tad: You sure?
Jeff: Yeah. You're going to see your little girl before you know it. All right?
Tad: Well, when I do, I'm going to get her the hell out of this house.
Zach: Ethan looked for you, a long time.
Hannah: I wish I would have known it was Ethan on my trail. I thought it was your father, and I was determined he would never find me.
Zach: And he didn't. You were lucky.
Hannah: That's why I left Ethan. Left him for another woman to raise. Erased connections between us, so that bastard would never find his grandson.
Zach: So what happened with --
Hannah: I became a new woman. I started a new life.
Zach: You did well for yourself. I mean, you look great, and --
Hannah: I've done extremely well for myself. I landed a job with an import company in the Far East -- just in time for China's economic reforms to open up the market.
Zach: Mm-hmm. A continent away from my father -- that didn't hurt.
Hannah: One of the best perks. A year and a half ago, I moved to Singapore, and that's where I found out about Alexander's supposed death, about you, alive, and Ethan. There were no more reasons to hide. I was on my way here when I found out about Ethan. And my reunion dreams came all to and end. My son is dead, and I didn't get to know him.
Zach: I'm sorry.
Jamie: You're nothing but a bully. A lonely, pathetic bully.
Adam: Thank God -- thank God I have Jamie Martin here to teach me the ways of the world.
Jamie: Krystal's baby isn't yours, Adam. That means no more Chandlers. Now my sister might actually have a chance at a normal life.
Adam: Not with a whore for a mother and a cretin for a father.
Jamie: You need to sit here and think about how this feels. To be alone, to be miserable, to be locked up. Because if you come after my family again, I will make this feel ten times worse. Have I made myself clear?
Adam: Oh, yes, yeah. Oh, yes. I know exactly where we stand.
Livia: We are down to the yacht. Keep or sell?
Erica: Well, the yacht was a gift from me to Jack. It's yours.
Jack: I don't think I can do that. That yacht represents a pretty good size percentage of our common assets.
Erica: No, I want you to have it. I -- I -- what would I do with it?
Jack: I'm just not comfortable with that. It was ours.
[Erica recalls the day of their marriage when she presented the yacht "At Last" to her new husband]
Erica: For you.
Livia: Perhaps the yacht should be sold and the proceeds split.
Erica: Well, if -- if Jack doesn't want to keep it --
Jack: I guess selling it is the best option.
Livia: That leaves household furniture.
Hannah: I'm sorry your father put you through more hell.
Zach: Well, be sorry for the people he killed.
Hannah: The news said that your wife is ok.
Zach: You know, she's fine. He tried to get to her, but she's fine.
Hannah: I'm so glad. He won't ever get out, will he?
Zach: You'll never have to face my father again, I promise you.
Hannah: Thank you, Alex. I -- I'm sorry, it's Zach, right? Pleased to meet you, Zach Slater. It's hard to imagine you in charge of Cambias Industries. Oh. All those summer nights we spent. The way you talked about your father, your disdain for all he stood for. Anything with the name Cambias.
Zach: Ahem. Somebody had to take this legacy and turn it into something good.
Hannah: Well, that's wonderful to hear.
Zach: Ethan started. He -- he -- I'm sorry. If there's anything I can do, you --
Hannah: Zach, please. I'm not looking to open up old wounds. You and I were kids back then. You don't owe me anything. that's not why I'm here.
Zach: Why are you here?
Hannah: You invited me.
Bianca: We're not asking you to forgive her completely.
Josh: Well, she didn't just interfere. I looked her in the eyes, I asked her to help me, and she flat out refused.
Kendall: Ok, well, that was mother's way of thinking that she was helping you.
Josh: Whatever. Thanks to Erica's big mouth, Babe is back in that house.
Jeff: I'm going to go check on Krystal.
Tad: Yeah. Jeff? Thanks.
Babe: Please tell me that you didn't say you were going to take Mama's baby away.
Tad: Yes, I did.
Babe: Look, I get that you're upset, and you want to hurt Mama, but --
Tad: I don't want to hurt anybody. I just don't want my daughter anywhere near the Chandlers.
Babe: Is it really necessary to threaten her, though? Especially right now?
Tad: It's not a threat.
Babe: Tad, if you do anything legal, that's a threat.
Tad: Babe, I said it, because I meant it. I meant every word.
Jeff: How are feeling?
Krystal: Well, no pains in the last ten minutes.
Jeff: Well, it could have been a false labor, but more than likely, it was indigestion.
Krystal: Oh. that's what I think. Thanks, Jeff.
Jeff: Call me if you need me.
J.R.: No baby today?
Krystal: No, guess not. I guess we can reset the countdown clock.
J.R.: Well, do you need anything?
Krystal: I need your father, J.R. You and Tad can't keep him in that asylum forever. You know that, don't you?
J.R.: Yeah, well, my dad needs to learn that every action has its consequences.
Krystal: Oh, yeah, well, I'm learning that more every day.
J.R.: I'm here so I can protect you and that little baby from my father.
Krystal: Are you? Or is all this just to win back Babe?
Amanda: What's up?
Jamie: I'll fill you in later.
Amanda: Oh. Good luck, Adam.
Adam: Amanda -- wait. Could you do something for me?
Babe: My mother is the only person that I have trusted my entire life.
Tad: Ah. At least someone trusts her.
Babe: She's a good mother, Tad. She took care of every scratch, every mess-up. She loved me for me. How many people in life can really say that, Tad?
Tad: Do you really think that changes the fact that she was never going to tell me about my own child? Ever? And neither were you or J.R. How do you defend something like that? I don't care. Whatever the hell it takes, there's no way I'm going to let my child grow up in this house.
J.R.: Sounds like what you're saying is that me getting Babe back is bad. It's not.
Krystal: J.R., I've heard all this before, so forgive me for not buying it.
J.R.: You keep doing everything to win my father back. I'm doing the same for Babe -- with love. I love my wife, you love your husband.
Krystal: More than my own life.
J.R.: Yeah. well, I get why you haven't left. I get why you're still in this house. I may be the only one, but I get it.
Krystal: Babe doesn't want me here.
J.R.: Am I glad that you're sticking around so Babe stays? Of course, I am.
J.R.: I'm going to prove to Babe that I'm sincere -- not through revenge or blackmail or guilt, but through love, my actions, my words. And if you can help me prove it, I'd be more than grateful. And if I can help you get Adam back, I will.
Adam: My own wife betrayed me. Made me believe that I had a little girl on the way. And then everything blew up in my face. Tad Martin has my wife and my little girl. And I'm stuck here. And other people are living the life that I should be living. My own son turned against me. You've had problems with J.R.
Amanda: This really doesn't involve me.
Adam: But you're practically family. You -- my daughter is your cousin. If Hayley were here, the two of you could help me.
Amanda: She has a life in California with Mateo.
Adam: And that's all the more reason I want to get the help from the people that are here. Can I count on you?
Amanda: For what?
Adam: Go ahead. I want to -- I want to know everything -- and I mean everything -- there is to know about Jamie Martin. What -- what makes him tick. What are his likes, dislikes -- what he does, where he goes, who he goes with. You can do that, can't you?
Amanda: Yeah, I can -- but I won't.
Adam: You two live under the same roof, at the Wildwind dormitory.
Amanda: You want to know about Jamie?
Amanda: Ok. He is one of the most generous guys I know. He is liked by everyone. He's an overall good guy.
Adam: But -- no, you can spare me the St. Jamie routine.
Amanda: He likes puppies and kids. He gives to charity. He's everything that you're not.
Adam: Don't get smart with me, lady. You owe me.
Amanda: Excuse me?
Adam: You're the one that set that crazy mother of yours on a rampage. She kidnapped my grandson. She locked us in a truck and drove it into quicksand. She killed Ethan Cambias. And who knows how many other people she would have killed if they hadn't locked her up?
Amanda: How's that jacket, Mr. Chandler? Hmm, it looks just your size.
Adam: Yeah. What's your price? I know you have one.
Amanda: Go to hell.
Colby: Where is my dad's lawyer?
Jamie: Excuse me, nurse. Can you get me the doctor on the Adam Chandler case? I'll wait.
Colby: How could you do this? He's a victim, and it's Tad and Krystal's fault!
Jamie: Calm down. First of all, this goes way back before that. Before Krystal, before you. Hell, even before me. I wasn't even a glint in my mother's eye when the Chandlers first attacked my family.
Colby: Ok, so what about now? What about what you're doing to my father?
Jamie: Go to school. Forget about it.
Colby: You know, it's kind of hard when my family's falling apart.
Hannah: I cashed out of the import business last year. I've been looking for something new, a challenge. One of your headhunters called, said Cambias is looking to fill an executive officer position.
Zach: We are.
Hannah: When I found out you were in charge, I sent in my resume. We had an interview. Here I am.
Zach: Well, that -- that's surprising.
Hannah: See? This is me.
Hannah: I guess it's safe to change it back, right? My name back?
Zach: Mm-hmm. No wonder this was on top. You really did do well for yourself.
Hannah: I've been a very fortunate woman, in many ways.
Zach: So are you interested? In the job? It's -- it's yours if you want it.
Hannah: I am interested. There is just something I have to do before I make that decision.
Josh: Leave me alone!
Kendall: You know what? You're going to have to deal with pressure if you want to be a Kane.
Man: Excuse me. Can I speak to somebody in Distribution? I have a problem with an order my stores placed last week.
Zoe: Well, the powers that be are in a meeting. Perhaps there's something I could help you with.
Man: I placed the order on Friday, but there was a glitch in the system and --
Zoe: Do you have a confirmation number?
Man: You're a guy in a dress, aren't you?
Zoe: Actually, I'm a woman in a guy's body in a dress.
Man: Is that what kind of company this is?
Zoe: What kind of company would that be, sir?
Man: I had no idea when I signed up that this place was --
Zoe: This was a cosmetics company?
Man: Is there anyone else here like you?
Zoe: Why, sir, there is no one else like me. May I get you some samples?
Man: My chain of stores caters to a large teen clientele.
Zoe: Well, absolutely wonderful. We have a number of lines that target your very demographic.
Man: Huh. What about your demographic? Your -- you --
Josh: Do we have a problem here?
Kendall: No, actually, Josh, I have this one. Fusion is a company built by women, for women. Women of all sizes, ages, types, and colors. You're looking at three of Fusion's women. If you can't handle that, then you can go.
Zoe: Kendall, if I'm causing a problem, I can leave.
Bianca: No, you're not going anywhere.
Kendall: The only person that's leaving is this narrow-minded jerk. You know what? If we have to suck up to bigoted idiots to sell our products, I'd rather not sell them. So why don't you take your sorry ass and get out of my sight before I have to throw you out.
Kendall: I -- I have to go get the money to pay back Mom.
Zoe: Kendall --
Kendall: You find me three more orders to make up for the one that we just lost, or you're out of here, too.
[Erica has another flashback of happy life with Jack]
Jack: I'm a man. A flesh and blood and bone man, and I am suffering.
Erica: I don't know what you're talking about.
Jack: That's it. that's it.
Erica: Ok, why are you suffering?
Jack: Why am I -- the lady asked me why I'm suffering. You know, I think you are the most frustrating woman that --
Erica: Yes? Well, I -- I think that we've discussed everything, haven't we? And I have things to do.
Jack: I'll walk you out.
Erica: Ok. All right. Thank you.
Erica: Thank you.
Livia: For two people with so much history, this is the most civilized divorce settlement I've ever seen.
Jack: Well, there's no reason for it to be anything less than amicable.
Livia: Enough of the lawyer. I'm talking to you as a friend. This is about you two. This is it. From this point on, there is no going back.
Erica: There is no going back. I understand. Ahem.
Sean: Ditching school, too?
Colby: School's lame.
Sean: It's good to see you. There's something I wanted to say.
Colby: You know what? Can we not do this now? I really don't feel like listening to someone else's family drama.
Sean: It's not about family. It's about you and me. Look, I was -- I was a jerk the night you and I hooked up on the yacht.
Colby: Ok, hold up, killer. I was there, too, and I asked you if you had protection, and I didn't say no.
Sean: Look, it was a big mistake, for both of us. Look, if you -- if you ever want to be a mother someday -- you know, a -- a mother a son can be proud of, just -- just don't do it again.
Colby: Ok, wait. Whoa. I'm not looking to be a mom anytime soon.
Sean: I -- just -- just don't sleep around. Just -- just don't do it, ok? Because everyone finds out, and everyone gets hurt.
Colby: Ok, wait, this isn't about me, is it?
Sean: Erica cheated on Jack. It's done. Lawyers, everything. And now, my mom's all over Uncle Jack, and I've done everything I can to get her out of town, but no luck.
Colby: Well, is there anything else you can do?
Sean: Leave. Go with her. I'm still trying.
Colby: No. Sean, you can't leave me here. You're all I have.
Barbara: I didn't come back too soon, did I?
Jack: No, you're fine, Barbara. We're through.
Barbara: The kids?
Jack: Work and school.
Barbara: How are you, Jack?
Jack: Huh. I'm fine, Barbara.
Barbara: Well, I'll leave you alone. Ok.
Jack: No. It's all right.
Erica: Oh. Jeff, now is not the time.
Jeff: Erica -- we need to straighten this out.
Erica: Look, don't worry. I'm not angry anymore. You helped our son. I understand why you did it. It's done. It's over.
Jeff: I can't tell you how glad I am to put all of this behind us. Now, why don't I help you try and forget this. Dinner tonight?
Jeff: Oh, come on. Let's --let me help you start a new chapter in your life.
Erica: Jeff, I think that maybe you misunderstood. What I mean is, you and I are done. It's -- it's over between us.
Jack: It's over.
Barbara: I am so sorry, Jack. So sorry.
Jack: It's ok.
[Barbara kisses Jack]
Zoe: Does this copy work?
Bianca: Yeah. You have a good eye.
Zoe: Hmm. Thank you. You know, I always thought Kendall was a big pain in the --
Bianca: Hey! She has her moments.
Zoe: You know, I always wondered how you could love your sister the way you do. I think I'm starting to get it.
Hannah: I want to know all about my son. I want to meet the people he knew. I want to know what he loved. Then I'll know if I can stay.
Kendall: My God, getting through Lily is -- sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't realize you had someone in here.
Zach: Speaking of people that knew Ethan -- this is Kendall, my wife. Hannah Nichols. Ethan's mom.
Babe: I'm sorry, Tad. I can't defend what I did, but can't you at least understand why Mama did what she did to try to keep her family and why I wanted to help her?
Tad: No, I can't.
Babe: I know it's really hard to forgive. I'm having a really hard time forgiving J.R. myself.
J.R.: Look, I'm caught between two men that I called my father, guys that I looked up to my whole life. They hate me now.
Krystal: Yeah, well, join the club.
J.R.: I meant it when I asked for you to be my mom. My mom's gone. Both my fathers are angry, and for good reason. But Babe and Little Adam are the only family that I have left.
Krystal: Me, too.
J.R.: Yeah. They're all I got. Besides you. And if I can get Babe back, I'm going to.
Amanda: Adam wanted me to spy on you. Well, like I would agree to that.
Jamie: Amanda, he's desperate. He's going to try anything.
Amanda: He was really scary. He's gunning for you, Jamie.
Jamie: I told him to his face bring it on.
Adam: Oh. Oh, Janet, thank God.
Janet: Hello again, Adam.
Adam: I want -- I want to apologize for being so harsh with you earlier.
Janet: I understand. I just came to check on you.
Adam: I'm feeling better. Yeah.
Janet: If you need anything at all, you just ask, because I've got this place wired.
Adam: Oh. Well, actually, there -- there is something you could do to help me. And maybe then, I can help you in return.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Hannah: I'll be in touch.
Kendall: That woman walked through this door and completely changed your life.
Annie: I think delirium is setting in. Julia warned me it could happen.
Mrs. Luper: Please, Freddie. Please don't do this terrible thing.
