[While Ryan sleeps peacefully in his bed, Zach jumps him and begins to choke him.]

Zach: How does that feel? Huh? To be ambushed like that?

Ryan: Agh!

Zach: To be trapped the way I was last night?

Ryan: Agh!

Zach: Now you're at my mercy.

[Knock on door]

Annie: If you want Spike --

Kendall: I know why I'm here. So let's just get this over with. But don't expect an apology. Go ahead, let me have it -- and then give me back my son.

[J.R. wheels into his wife's bedroom and finds her in bed with Zoe]

[Knock on door]

Dixie: Hello.

Tad: No, no, Dixie, you're supposed to find out who's on the other side of the door before you open it.

Dixie: Oh. I would know his after-shave anywhere. Good morning, George.

Tad: No, no, no, no, no, wait, wait, wait. Don't you let her do the cute thing, ok? That could've been anybody out there. I'm not kidding.

Dixie: Yes, yes, yes, or David -- Adam told me.

Tad: Good. That's why I stopped by. I wanted to make sure you knew. Because if David Hayward has ramped himself up to serial killer, you could very, very easily be on his list.

Derek: So, we know Hayward hit Indonesia after he left here, and he went deep. Any word from your men?

Aidan: Not since David became a suspect. Interpol are on this, too. We've had no sightings. I mean, the guy could be anywhere. I mean, a fake passport and ID are not exactly hard to come by.

Jamie: Hell, David could be right outside. He probably pulled off his big farewell, then circled back around to finish off his sick hit list.

Jack: Yeah, well, I guess it's possible Hayward's our man, but that doesn't mean we let up on any of our other suspects.

Derek: And we have zero. The one thing we do know, our killer's planning his next move. David Hayward, Kenny Adler, Zarf -- it could be any of them or none of them. It could be someone we know or a complete stranger. The one thing we do know, whoever he is, he's out there watching, planning when to deliver the attack, how to deliver it -- a soda, a glass of wine, food.

Derek: But we still have tails on Adler and Zarf.

Aidan: My contacts are working with Interpol to track Hayward. They're running an international photo scan, so his face will be on every database around the globe.

[Two police officers carry in the large portrait of Kendall with a dart in her neck.]

Jamie: Oh -- this is what dad and I found at the Cambias storage facility. It's nice, huh?

Aidan: This guy really goes all-out, doesn't he?

Derek: We'll have a team staking out the warehouse in case our killer returns, but it's a long shot, worth a try. And we'll get on this right away and see what we can find.

Josh: What kind of a sick bastard is this? Tell me you guys have something. We -- we got to catch this guy before Kendall actually ends up like this -- or Babe or Bianca.

Jack: Josh -- Josh, we're doing the best we can.

Josh: Yeah, and you have nothing, right? That's something.

Derek: Letters?

Josh: Love letters -- to Amelia Cambias. This freak killer is putting on some kind of show for Zach Slater -- maybe that's why. I thought the cops might want to know since Zach isn't actually interested in sharing anything.

Zach: My turn to ask questions.

Ryan: Josh and I did what we had to do. Get over it.

Zach: How many times did your dad beat you up when you were a kid? Not enough, as far as I'm concerned. What about your mom? How many times did you find her at the bottom of a glass?

Ryan: Shut up.

Zach: What?

Ryan: Shut up.

Zach: It's only fair -- you and Josh plod through my past, now it's my turn.

Ryan: We needed information.

Zach: Then ask me!

Ryan: Yeah, we tried that, didn't work.

Zach: You pump me full of truth serum?

Ryan: Yeah. Exactly. We did what we had to do --

Zach: Uh-huh.

Ryan: To get the information that we needed.

Zach: And you really think I would keep information about the guy who wants to kill my wife?

Ryan: Well, so far, your secrets have been your priorities, Zach.

Zach: So now you care about Kendall more than I do, is that what you're saying?

Ryan: What I'm saying is Kendall, Bianca, and Babe -- Josh and I had three very good reasons to do what we did.

Zach: Ok, and it worked out great for you, didn't it? I mean, you got all kinds of information about the guy who did this, right? No, you didn't find anything. Oh, no, you did. You did find out something, didn't you, pops?

Ryan: How long were you going to sit on that, Zach? How long before you told me that Emma was my child? How long?

Zach: Kendall's secret, not mine. It's her call.

Ryan: That's bull.

Zach: I love her. And whether I agree with her or not, I accept her decisions.

Ryan: So that's how you're going to do this? You're going to rationalize keeping her secret -- that's how?

Zach: I love her. You know what else, man? She's never been loved like that -- not even by the father of her child. I don't care if she's wrong or not. I'm not going to betray her.

Kendall: Did you have sweet dreams? You sure look it. Did he eat breakfast?

Annie: Every bite. Rachael brought Emma downstairs to the buffet. I do not know where my tiny, little daughter got that great, big appetite.

Kendall: Ok, well, Spike looks pretty content, he's got his toys. So, let me have it. Go for it, don't hold back.

Annie: Bring me up to speed. What did you do this time? Oh, this can't be about the last argument. Kendall, I am not using Emma to try to snag Ryan. I never have, and I never will. So, what new reason should I have for wanting to rip your head off?

Kendall: Oh, look at you. Look at you, Mr. Chewy. Ok, I just have to touch you one more time. Oh -- much better. Um -- do you -- do you even know what Ryan and Josh did to Zach?

Annie: They gave him some kind of truth drug to get answers about -- about Zach's mom and -- and the day she died, and if there's any connection to the Fusion murders.

Kendall: Well, I'm glad Ryan's confided so much in you.

Annie: He didn't, Zach did. When I found him, he asked me to ask him questions about the day that his -- that his mother died, and then you walked in. I still don't get what any of this has to do with you and me.

Babe: Good morning.

Zoe: Oh. I bet you don't walk in on this every day.

J.R.: My wife is either in bed with a man or a lesbian inside a man's body -- I don't know what is worse.

Zoe: Oh, blame me. My fault -- I showed up.

Babe: No -- please, Zoe. Can you -- um, can you give us a minute? Oh. Look -- ahem -- I know this must look really weird --

J.R.: "Weird"? It's like déjà vu all over again -- me finding you in bed with Bianca, except that time you wanted me to walk in on you. It was a setup, it was a big test. Is that what this is, a big test? Where's the camera?

Babe: It -- it isn't a test, J.R.

J.R.: Then what is it, Babe? You in bed with that?

Babe: When Zoe was released from jail, the -- the paparazzi and the fans -- it was crazy, and she needed someplace safe to go.

J.R.: Your bed?

Babe: She came here, because she's my friend. What was I supposed to do, put her in the guest bedroom and have Adam trip over her in the middle of the night? A transgender rock star in his house -- he'd freak out and you know it. So I just -- I kept her in here, so she could chill and get a good night's sleep.

J.R.: Hmm. You just slept?

Babe: We talked. I was all about making Zoe feel safe, and she actually helped me get through the night, too. I was really freaked out at the fact that David could maybe be the murderer, but Zoe talked me down, and she sang me to sleep.

J.R.: Oh, that's sweet. Really.

Babe: Zoe needs support right now, and I'm going to give it to her, and I would like for her to be able to stay with us here until she's ready to face the public -- if that's ok with you.

J.R.: Ok, ok, so after we peel Dad off the ceiling, have you given any thought to what our son might think -- seeing everybody call a guy a "she," seeing a little beard poking through some powder and rouge?

Babe: She's really fragile right now, J.R., and she needs her friends to get through this, and I may be her only friend. It'd really mean a lot if you'd go with me on this.

J.R.: Well, Tad says your friend is not the killer, so there's no danger there. This whole transgender thing -- not crazy about it. But if this is what you want, if this is what you need to do, I won't fight you on it.

[After injecting a substance into it, the killer replaces a jar of peanut butter in Winnie's shopping cart with the poisoned one.]

Dixie: Stop worrying. I -- I couldn't be safer if I was wrapped in cotton.

Tad: You don't know that. Look, there is a killer out there on the loose. You -- you have to pay more attention to this. You have to be serious.

Dixie: I -- I do, I am. I mean, if Babe's at risk, of course.

Tad: I'm not talking about Babe. I'm talking about you. I'm not kidding. Look, if our nut-job killer turns out to be nut-job Hayward, your chances of being a target is pretty good. Therefore, I want you to promise me that you will pay more attention, which means -- uh-uh -- someone comes to the door, you find out who's on the other side of it. You want to go to sleep, you lock your doors and your windows. If you want to go outside, you take George. Ok?

Dixie: Isn't that being just a little bit extreme? We don't know that David's the killer.

Tad: Dixie --

Dixie: He's never murdered anybody.

Tad: Dixie, please, please? Please? I lost you once, I can't take losing you again. Promise?

Dixie: Ok. I promise.

Tad: Two fingers up. Two fingers up, come on.

Dixie: I swear.

Tad: Where's your other hand? Show me. Don't cross it -- show me the other hand. Ah, there we go.

Dixie: Ok. I swear, all right, to be constantly and always on guard against any and all attacks. You satisfied?

Tad: For now, mammy. Ok.

Dixie: Look, I think you're completely overreacting. The Chandler estate is a fortress -- double-shifts of security, cameras, sensors, alarms. This place couldn't be safer if it had a moat, a drawbridge, and crocodiles.

Tad: And yet, a killer was able to walk up to the front gate and tie a white satin ribbon. Hmm? Where was all the security, the cameras, and the sensors then? Until we catch David Hayward -- or whoever the killer is -- everybody's in danger. No place is safe.

Dixie: Look, I promise you, no one will be more careful. I won't step on a crack or walk under a ladder. I'll wear my seat belt every day and look both ways when crossing the street, ok?

Tad: Or you could stay inside until they catch this guy.

Dixie: Uh -- yes. Yes, I could do that, and it could be nice, but, actually, I can't. I'm a working woman now -- my job at the hospital?

Tad: You're kidding?

Dixie: No.

Tad: Oh. Pine Valley’s favorite patient advocate rides again, huh?

Dixie: Hmm -- be prepared.

Dixie: I'm a little nervous. I've been up since 6:00, and I'm dressed, ready to go, and I don't even have to be there for an hour.

Tad: Oh.

Dixie: Can you believe it?

Tad: Yeah. Well, the glow is definitely back.

Dixie: Thanks. It's just nerves, you know?

Tad: Um -- listen, you get a lunch break on this job of yours?

Dixie: Um -- yes, we do -- one whole hour.

Tad: Really? Really? How strange. It just so happens I get an hour for lunch, too, and I was wondering if maybe you would want to spend your hour with me.

Dixie: Are you asking me on a date?

Tad: I think I am. Are you interested?

Dixie: I think I am. Huh.

Tad: What? What?

Dixie: I -- I just -- I -- I can't remember the last time that you and I went on an actual, honest-to-goodness date. Hmm.

Tad: Well, I tell you what -- why don't we get together for an hour and try to figure it out -- over chicken fingers and French fries?

Dixie: Huh.

Tad: Ok?

Dixie: Ok.

[Tad and Dixie kiss]

Krystal: Hi.

Adam: Ahem.

Tad: Hi.

Adam: Any word on the 'Satin Slayer'?

Tad: No, unfortunately, not yet.

Krystal: Ah, well, they are going to get him -- sooner rather than later, right?

Tad: You know, I do believe our future godchild has gained a kilo or two since the last time I saw her.

Krystal: Yeah, well, thank you very much for noticing that there is a blimp on board.

Adam: As I'm sure you've noticed, my wife is even more beautiful than before.

Krystal: Well, there's a whole lot more than ever before, that's for sure.

[Krystal and Adam chuckle]

Adam: But -- attention, attention, attend ye here. I hereby vow that I shall spoil this woman and our baby daughter beyond all reason. And nothing in this world can stop me.

Tad: You just make sure my future goddaughter gets enough to eat, ok?

Krystal: Oh, please, Tad. I just scarfed down enough breakfast to support an entire Bulgarian army.

Tad: Yeah? Well, then, my work here is done. So -- um -- lunch?

Dixie: It's a date.

Tad: Hey.

Krystal: Well. Did I just hear the D word?

Colby: Morning!

Krystal: Morning!

Dixie: Hello. Morning.

Colby: Ahem.

Dixie: Hmm.

Krystal: Uh-oh.

Adam: I didn't realize we had a guest.

Colby: Hey, Zoe, how's it going?

Babe: This is Zoe. Zoe, this is Dixie, J.R.'s mom.

Dixie: Hi. Nice to meet you. Your music is wonderful.

Zoe: Oh, thank you.

Babe: And my mama, Krystal. Mama --

Krystal: Nice to meet you.

Babe: And her husband, Adam.

Zoe: A pleasure.

Adam: Yes, yeah.

Babe: Well, I knew you all wouldn't mind, but Zoe's going to be staying with us for a while.

Krystal: Oh, oh.

Adam: I don't remember a vote.

Babe: She really needs some privacy. The media is all over her with the whole transgender/murder thing.

Krystal: Oh.

Adam: Can't imagine why.

Babe: And this place on lockdown, it's as private as it gets, right?

[Colby giggles]

Colby: This is so sweet -- we could do makeup again, and I just got some new hair extensions. We are going to have so much fun!

Adam: "Again"?

Krystal: Come on, Adam. Now be civil.

Adam: Babe, this is all very generous of you, of course, and -- uh -- but I -- I remind you that your first priority is your husband's recovery, and I think possibly another person in the house might not be a good idea.

Babe: No, no, of course, I -- it's ok. I -- I talked it over with J.R., he's cool with it.

Adam: He's "cool"?

Babe: Uh-huh.

Adam: Huh. Well -- um -- I'll -- excuse me. J.R.?

Krystal: Look, sorry about that. He just doesn't react very well to surprises.

Zoe: You're very kind.

Colby: You in our house, hanging out, chillin'?

Babe: Ok, ok, space. Colby, please.

Zoe: Oh, no, it's ok.

Colby: You don't have to worry about a thing. I will not say anything, I swear. But it's going to be kind of hard -- flippin' Zarf I mean Zoe -- practically my roomie. How cool is that? But these lips -- not a word. And if the kids at school knew -- wait, I didn't blab anything last night, did I? Well, I'm not going to start now. Me and you -- totally solid.

Zoe: You are the best. Do you like The Walking Wounded?

Colby: Hottest on the planet -- next to you.

Zoe: Two tickets, front row, backstage passes.

[Colby gasps]

Zoe: Dinner before, trendiest restaurant in NYC -- your pick.

Colby: Ah!

Zoe: And just so you don't miss your curfew, helicopter to New York and back.

Colby: You're kidding!

Zoe: No!

Colby: You're not kidding!

Zoe: No!

Colby: I love you! I totally love you.

Krystal: Yeah -- well, you know -- I think your teachers would totally love to see your face, Colby.

Colby: Oh -- I'm late, I'm late! I'm sorry, excuse me. This is so cool -- you're cool. Ah! Bye, guys!

Krystal: Good-bye.

Babe: Oh, that was so cool of you. Oh, my God.

Dixie: Wow.

Krystal: Wow. Well, now that we can all hear ourselves think, why don't I show you to your guest suite. It's the last one down on the left. It's got a balcony.

Babe: Hmm.

Zoe: Sounds like heaven.

Krystal: Oh.

Dixie: And if you need anything, I'm two doors down.

Krystal: Don't go anywhere, ok? I got inspired. I sent Winnie out for all the fixings for a really special surprise for you, so -- come on, right this way.

Winifred: This is your mama's most favorite thing in the whole world -- yeah -- peanut butter and banana pancakes. Yeah! Whoo! Yeah? All right. You want to have some?

Little Adam: Dinosaur wants some.

Winifred: The dinosaur wants some? All right, that's fine. These are going to be extra special. Right?

Kendall: I'm furious -- and you should be, too.

Annie: Why? Room service is a little slow?

Kendall: No, I'm talking about Ryan -- Ryan and my brother. I mean, they -- they ambush Zach, they drugged him, and they could've killed him.

Annie: But they didn't.

Kendall: Ok, well, Ryan and Josh stuck you in the middle of this. Ryan totally used you -- I mean, having you pack up Spike and come over here, so that I can spend a day with my son? No, it was -- it was a cover-up so that Ryan and Josh could stick a needle in Zach.

Annie: The tactics were a bit unconventional, yes, but if it helps him find the killer --

Kendall: Ryan is always busy polishing off that suit of armor, and you know what? Don't let him fool you. He took advantage of you and me. It's not the first time, and it won't be the last. Sweet boy. Yes.

Emma: Please don't be mad at me.

Ryan: You and Kendall are raising my son, so there has to be a certain amount of trust, right? And yet you were going to keep me in the dark about Emma being my child, knowing that I live with her, I live with her and Annie. You see me with them every day. I mean, how could you do that -- could you sit back and do nothing?

Zach: I did what Kendall wanted.

Ryan: It's also what your father wanted, right? I mean, isn't it? He kept a secret like that from you, he lied to you, he didn't let you know that you had a child. You are your father's son. I mean, how does that feel, being a chip off the man that you hate?

Zach: Shut up!

Ryan: How does it feel?

Kendall: Emma, I am not mad at you, I could never be mad at you. I am so glad that you and Spike are such good friends.

Emma: Spike and I can be friends forever, even if he is not my baby brother.

Ryan: I mean, we're -- we're talking the father that you died to get away from.

Zach: I did what I did for Kendall.

Emma: Is that Ryan?

Ryan: Don't -- don't use love and loyalty --

Kendall: That voice does sound familiar.

Zach: Things you don't understand.

Ryan: So you're the great holder of secrets? Is -- is that what this is? You get to decide what is revealed and what's not --

Zach: I told you -- my priority is my wife.

Ryan: Oh, hiding behind the woman -- that's new.

Zach: Some secrets should be kept.

Ryan: And that's not new -- that's the Zach that I know.

Zach: I'm not doing this.

Ryan: What else do you know, Zach? What else? Crack open your past, your childhood -- anything to help us figure out who this killer is. What do you have to lose?

[Knock on door]

Ryan: I mean, what is it, Zach? What, are you afraid that if this get dragged into the light, that you'll realize that you really did kill your mother? Is that what this is?

Annie: Guys, guys, guys --

Zach: Mention my mother one more time.

Annie: Please stop. The kids can hear you yelling. Is there a reason this argument can't wait?

Adam: J.R., tell me you haven't completely lost your mind.

J.R.: No more than usual.

Adam: Bringing that Zarf character into this house? Babe says you're "cool with it." Now, tell me you haven't been taken in by that she-male clown. You're going to need all the leverage you can get in a custody fight.

[J.R. shows his father a picture of Babe and Zoe in bed together that he took with his cell phone.]

Adam: Oh, my God. Babe is playing straight into your hands.

Babe: You know my father better than I do. I -- is it possible that David's gone completely insane, actually killing my friends?

Dixie: Oh, come on. I -- I don't want to believe that.

Winifred: Miss B, I hope you haven't eaten. I whipped these up just for you --

Babe: Aw.

Winifred: From your mama, with love.

Babe: Oh, Winnie --

Winifred: Banana pancakes, extra peanut butter -- just the way you like them.

Babe: Mmm.

Annie: Look, I get that you have some things to sort out, but please keep it down -- or take it somewhere else. Emma thinks you're mad at her.

Ryan: She -- I'll -- I'll straighten her out as soon as we're done here, all right? Will you do me a favor, please? Will you get the kids together, get them ready to go, because we're out of here.

Kendall: No, no, Spike's not going anywhere. He's staying here with me and Zach.

Ryan: Um -- I thought we agreed that Spike would stay with me until the killer was caught, Kendall.

Kendall: Yeah, we agreed before Zach and I moved in here. Now, this place has security everywhere. Spike is safer here than at your penthouse.

Ryan: Annie, would you please get the kids together? I'll have the car brought around. Thank you very much.

Kendall: Don't -- don't do that, Ryan. Spike is staying.

Ryan: I don't care how much security the casino has. You are the target here, Kendall. It is not safe. It's too dangerous for our son to be anywhere near you.

Kendall: Zach, will you tell him, please?

Zach: This is between you and him.

Kendall: And there's just so much between us, isn't there? You went off on me for not telling you that you're Emma's dad, but I noticed you still haven't shared your little secret with Annie. Any reason for that? Or maybe you thought about what I said and realized that I was right to sit on this.

Ryan: When and how I tell Annie that Emma is mine is my call, not yours.

Kendall: Ok, so would the "when" be now or never?

Ryan: It's not your concern, Kendall.

Zach: Why don't you just answer her question?

Ryan: I thought you said it was between us. Now, I will handle this my way.

Kendall: Ok, well, when you're deciding how to break the news, could you maybe think a little bit about your son for one minute?

Ryan: What are you talking about? What does this have to do with Spike?

Kendall: When Annie finds out that I didn't tell you you're Emma's dad, she could -- she could resent me, and she could take it out on Spike.

Ryan: Annie loves Spike, Kendall. And, yeah, she might have reason to have you, but she would never, ever hurt Spike, ever.

Kendall: Oh, my God, she's got you so fooled.

Ryan: I know her a little better than you do --

Kendall: No, I know enough, Ryan.

Ryan: She doesn't lie, she doesn't spin the facts, she doesn't play people, she doesn't jack them around. When she's wrong, she admits it. You should try that sometime.

Zach: It won't do any good.

Babe: David is ticked off at the world, but murder? Sure, he has done some crazy things, some bad things, but to actually kill people? I -- I don't think my dad has it in him. Is this just me in denial?

Dixie: No. Come on, life is sacred to your father. He's a doctor. He took that oath, he takes it seriously. Whoever is killing these women -- life is meaningless to them. Now, come on -- it's your favorite dish. You haven't even taken a bite.

Babe: I wouldn't touch these pancakes if this were my last meal on earth.

Dixie: Why not?

Babe: J.R.

J.R.: One photo, a thousand words.

Adam: Brilliant. Brilliant. No doubt in anyone's minds, particularly not the judge's. One look at your wife snuggled up to this -- this bearded freak show in a lady's robe -- ha -- Little Adam is nearly yours.

J.R.: I have it -- if I need it.

Adam: Oh, what do you mean, "if"? Don't do this. Don't go soft on me.

J.R.: What if I'm wrong about Babe? What if she's been completely up front?

Adam: You have a witness -- she kissed Josh Madden.

J.R.: New Year's Eve -- a lot of people are kissing. I mean, maybe he took her by surprise. What if the -- the bodyguard misinterpreted it?

Adam: Oh? Babe's lips locked on Josh's lips? No, there's not a whole lot to misinterpret there.

J.R.: Babe is a champion of underdogs -- it's how this whole thing began with Josh, now Zarf. She wants to hug the damn world.

Adam: She should learn to just say no.

J.R.: Or maybe I should learn "just back off," stop trying to look for things that I don't like. Maybe I should just be glad that my wife is safe and alive.

Babe: So I told J.R. all about ordering peanut butter and banana pancakes for room service. I just left out the tiny little detail that Josh was there the entire time. And when J.R. found out --

Dixie: He went ballistic.

Babe: It didn't even matter that it was a business trip or that nothing happened -- until later. Anyway, if J.R. walked in, and he saw me eating these, it's just -- it's too many bad memories for both of us. I don't want to hurt him again.

Dixie: That is very considerate of you. But as sensitive as J.R. can be, I don't think his feelings will be permanently damaged by a breakfast dish. So, go ahead. Try some, have a few bites.

Annie: Whew! Good to be home.

Ryan: Yep.

Annie: Hey, um, why don't you take Emma and Spike.

Annie: Oh, excuse me -- where's the kiss for your mother? Right here. Come here.

Ryan: Big kiss.

Annie: Give me kisses. Oh -- oh, thank you. Thank you.

Ryan: All right.

Annie: Ok.

Ryan: Hey, can I have one of those, too? What do you think? What do you think? Just a little one?

Rachael: Let's go, party animal.

Ryan: Whoa! Ok, bye.

Annie: Oh, bye, have fun. Whew. Well, a perfect way to kill an hour -- the Cambias Media Report. Hmm, I've compiled some projections based on last year's performances if you want to look at some of them.

Ryan: You haven't even asked why Zach and I were arguing.

Annie: Well, um, you and Josh gave the guy a drug against his will -- that would pretty much explain the yelling.

Ryan: It's what he said while he was under the influence of that drug -- that's the bigger problem.

Annie: Oh. Well, "Cambias reported full year 2006 earnings of 69 cents per share, beating last year's results by 68.3%."

Zach: Ryan deserved to find out about Emma. I'm just sorry the way it happened.

Kendall: It's not your fault those idiots drugged you. You know, I used to have trust issues at one time. Ok, I had trust issues for a very, very long time. But those days are gone. I trust you absolutely, positively 100% with my heart and with my life.

[Zach and Kendall kiss]

[Phone rings]

Zach: Sorry.

Kendall: It's ok.

Zach: Slater.

Jack: Zach, Jack Montgomery here. Listen, I've got your mother's love letters, could give us a break in the case. Wonder if you'd be kind enough to come down here to the police station and discuss them with me.

Zach: I'll be there.

Jack: All right, good enough, appreciate it. I'll be waiting.

Aidan: I just got a call from one of my ops -- possible Hayward sighting. I'm going to go check it out.

Jamie: All right. Keep in touch.

Jamie: Scary stuff.

Josh: Yeah.

Jamie: You and Babe -- is that finished, or you still after her?

Josh: Good brush strokes, decent technique.

Jamie: Yeah, how about we cut the Art Appreciation class and you answer my question? Are you still after my brother's wife? Because if you are, I think he deserves to know.

Josh: You know what, J.R. deserves a hell of a lot, but a happy ending?

Jamie: Now would be a good time for you to leave.

Josh: You know, this is the wrong morning to get me cranky, Martin. I was up late last night, found out a lot -- about the killer.

Jamie: Oh, come on, from some love letters?

Josh: Wrong killer -- not the killer who's been chasing the Fusion women. I know who killed Greg Madden.

Jamie: Magic 8 ball tell you that?

Josh: If you don't back off, I'll share the name with the police. You think they'd be grateful -- another crazed murderer behind bars?

Jamie: There is no way you know who killed Greg Madden, because no one does.

Josh: Push me and find out.

Jamie: That is the best invitation I've had all day.

Tad: Hey, fellas. Did I miss something? Something I should know about?

Jamie: Josh found something huge. He found love letters written to Zach's mom. The police have them. They're looking them over for clues.

Derek: Zarf isn't in the clear yet. We have no real evidence against him, nothing to hold him on, but that doesn't mean he's innocent.

Jack: Derek, Zarf was locked in a cell when someone trapped Zach in that warehouse.

Derek: Could've been an accident, a coincidence.

Jack: Or the killer.

Derek: Look, we're still looking at Adler, now there's Hayward.

Jack: We have nothing on Zarf, we have nothing on Hayward. And all we know from Kenny's tail is that he made a trip to the grocery store.

Babe: Mmm! Oh, it is the best smell in the world, and they taste even better. But nope. No way, I'm not going to touch them. It's too bad, though -- Winnie did go through a lot of trouble. Hmm -- you should try them. They're really awesome.

Dixie: You know, that's a good idea -- a carbo load before work.

Babe: Why not?

Dixie: Mmm.

Babe: Just wait, I'm right. What?

Dixie: Oh, my gosh -- they're delicious.

Babe: See? I told you, right? They're amazing.

Dixie: Oh, you should have Tad try these. He might just give up his cereal and candy bars.

Babe: Wait, Tad puts candy in his cereal?

Dixie: Ugh -- it's the only way he'll eat it. The boys used to love breakfast with their dad.

Babe: Yeah -- because their dad's not a psycho killer.

Dixie: Neither is yours. David loves you. You might be the only person on the planet he feels any connection with.  And even if he was capable of murder, and that is a big "if" -- he wouldn't kill your friends. Mmm.

[Babe chuckles]

J.R.: I hope David is the killer. That way, Babe would be safe. I know it's cold and selfish. Kendall and Bianca -- they're in danger. Erin and Simone -- they're dead. Danielle's lucky to be breathing. But I want my wife alive. I want the mother of my son to watch him grow up.

Adam: Nobody can blame you for that.

J.R.: I may be asking to be struck by lightning, but better Kendall than Babe.

[Kendall walks into the police station with Zach and stops before her portrait.]

Annie: "On expectations for continued growth within our storage and mobility businesses."

Ryan: Hold on.

Annie: Bored already?

Ryan: You're not even the slightest bit curious as to what Zach said to me when he was all drugged up?

Annie: Sure I am, but it's none of my business. You and Zach are basically family, what with Spike and all. I barely know the guy. The only reason I broke you two up is, because you were being so loud, you were upsetting Emma.

Ryan: So it's on a need-to-know basis and -- and you don't need to know?

Annie: You and I share an apartment. It doesn't give me a free pass to your private life. You know that expression "good fences make good neighbors"? Well, the same thing goes for friendship. Friends respect each other's boundaries.

Ryan: So are boundaries the reason why you don't want to know who Emma's father is?

Dixie: I know David can be very scary, and he'll go far for payback -- you know, the nastiness that he pulled about Kate. I mean, there are tons of examples, but to -- to kill the women who are close to you, the daughter that he loves more than his own life -- David would never do that.

[Dixie gasps]

Babe: Dixie?

Dixie: Ahem.

[Dixie's eyes flutter as she becomes short of breath]

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Zach (to Kendall): Another innocent woman's going to die today.

Babe: Please call 911 quick. Please!

[Dixie collapses on the floor]

Krystal: Oh!

Derek: Chandler Mansion, now!

Josh: Babe!

Derek: Josh, wait, it's not Babe! I'm sorry, Tad.

J.R. (to Dixie): Mom -- Mom, no!
