Bianca: Hey, wow. You're obviously doing much better.
J.R.: Yeah, lucky me. Did you come to see Babe?
Bianca: No, I came to see you.
J.R.: For what?
Bianca: Good question. Forget you ever saw me.
J.R.: No, wait a second. Since you're here, there's probably something that I should do, something that I want to do. I want to apologize to you, Bianca. I scared the hell out of you in your brother's hotel room. You didn't deserve it.
Bianca: J.R., we did this already.
J.R.: But saying "I'm sorry" is not enough. In my program, they call it "making amends." I messed up, and I want to make it right. I'd like to do something for you.
Bianca: Tell me how you learn to forgive.
Babe: Dani's doing really well.
Krystal: I can see how thrilled you are by the look on your face. What is wrong, honey? That is fabulous news.
Babe: And I'm beyond relieved. It's -- it's the next call that I'm dreading. I need a lawyer, Mama.
Krystal: I thought you and J.R. were working things out.
Babe: Not about a divorce. I need to make a will.
Kenny: Hello, Danielle. I have something for you.
[Coming out of the shadows, Aidan throws Kenny against the wall.]
Kenny: Oh, oh, oh!
Tad: Would you go home? Zach isn't paying both of us to be here.
Jamie: You're not getting paid? Oh, wow, this is awkward. Come on, he's not going to care who tagged along, as long as you tell him you scored.
Jamie: This is what he sent you here for, isn't it?
Tad: No. Zach sent me here about a portrait of Kendall. He didn't say anything about it being 3-D.
Kendall: Spike as your brother? Well, what makes you think that's even possible, Emma?
Annie: We already talked about this, sweetheart. Spike is our friend, remember?
Emma: I want him to be my brother, and I want Ryan to be my daddy.
Ryan: Did you just say that you care about both of my children, Zach?
Josh: All right, look, we're getting off track here, all right? You were about to tell us what else you saw at the warehouse.
Ryan: Who are "both of my children," Zach? Spike and who?
Josh: Emma? No, no, no, Spike is your only kid.
Ryan: Yeah, but if -- if he thinks that Emma is mine, too, then this drug is not working, Josh. Is it possible that the dosage is off or something?
Josh: I think you're blowing this out of proportion, all right? So he was wrong about one thing.
Ryan: If he's wrong about one thing, he could be wrong about everything, all right? I mean, you're the doctor here. Is it possible that this drug could have an adverse reaction, like -- like confusion or something?
Josh: It's hard to say.
Ryan: Is it possible?
Josh: Confusion? Yes. Sometimes confusion can be a side effect, all right? People react differently to this sort of thing.
Ryan: So now we got to figure out what he said is true or not, if anything is true.
Josh: Look, what Zach is telling us, he believes to be the truth. Whether he's right, that's a different story.
Ryan: Why do you think that Emma is mine?
Zach: Because Kendall told me she is.
Kendall: Emma, why don't you and Spike and Rachael go back to the tree house room? There's a really cool magic show there, and I have front-row seats for you guys.
Kendall: Rachael, why don't you talk to Molly, and just tell her I said to hook you guys up?
Rachael: Will do. Hey.
Annie: Oh --
Kendall: All right, my little munchkin.
Annie: Come on.
Kendall: Bye, my sweetness.
Rachael: Come on, Emma.
Annie: Come on, baby girl.
Annie: Have fun.
Kendall: You're a liar. You are using a 4-year-old to help you snag a man.
Annie: Ahem. You're stressed, being trailed by bodyguards 24/7, forced to live without your son. I know what it's like to be separated from your child, and I think you're doing an amazing job handling everything.
Kendall: Don't patronize me.
Annie: But I want to make it real clear what Emma meant by that.
Kendall: "Can I have Spike as my baby brother?" There's no gray area there.
Annie: She loves him, Kendall. She isn't trying to take Spike from you, she's not trying to break up your family. It isn't a threat. She -- she's 4 years old and -- and she wants a little brother. It's as simple as that.
Kendall: Hmm. It's not so simple when a 4-year-old is being coached by a devious mother. Emma doesn't just want Spike as a brother. She wants Ryan to be her daddy.
Aidan: Stop squirming. You're not going anywhere.
Kenny: Will you at least tell me what the hell I did? Ms. Cudahy, what -- what's going on? Where's Danielle?
Livia: You tell me what business you have with Danielle, Mr. Adler.
Kenny: I -- I just wanted to see her, I -- and make sure she was ok. She is, right? She didn't --
Livia: Die? No. Does that disappoint you?
Kenny: Of course not.
Aidan: Is that why you're here -- to see if Danielle was still able to talk? Huh?
Jack: What the hell is going on? Well, Kenny Adler -- why am I not surprised?
Derek: Damn it, Adler.
Kenny: Chief Frye, get this guy off me.
Derek: Hands up.
Kenny: What, are flowers a crime?
Derek: What else did you bring, huh?
Jack: Yeah, like maybe a syringe filled with V-tach?
Derek: What's this?
Livia: A frame?
Di: Who's in it?
Jack: Well, folks --
Derek: Simone Torres and Erin Lavery.
Jack: Not a gardenia in the bunch here.
Livia: You came in here looking for my niece, Danielle, and I want to know why.
Jack: I should inform you, Mr. Adler, you don't have any legal reason to answer these questions.
Livia: But ethically, you better start talking. Now, there is a headline all over the Northeast that says Danielle Frye can identify the Satin Slayer, and here you are after hospital visiting hours, with flowers and a frame with photos of two dead women, to see a woman you don't even know?
Jonathan: I knew it! I knew it was you!
Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa --
Jonathan: I knew it was you!
J.R.: You want to learn forgiveness? And you came to me? Now who's drunk?
Bianca: Oh, J.R., come on. Is that really such a radical concept? You've forgiven before.
Bianca: Well, it looks to me like you've forgiven Babe for cheating on you with Josh. You still love her, don't you?
J.R.: If you came to shrink me, you can just let that door close right behind you.
Bianca: But, see, J.R., I'm desperate -- obviously -- or else I wouldn't be here. Maggie is back in Pine Valley.
J.R.: I thought you two broke up.
Bianca: Yeah, so did I. But here she is, telling me how she blew it and how she wants me back.
J.R.: Yeah, that sounds familiar.
Bianca: I don't know what to do. I wanted her more than I wanted to take my next breath. But now that she's here, I -- I can't get past what she did to me. It took me forever to get out of my car and walk up to that door to come see you, J.R. This isn't easy for me -- spilling my guts to you about my personal life. My mother and my sister hate Maggie for cheating on me. They would never understand it if I took her back.
J.R.: Tell me about it -- my dad's ready to throw Babe out.
Bianca: Remember the three things that we have in common -- lame TV, being the smartest kids in our class --
J.R.: And control-freak parents.
Bianca: Adam Chandler and Erica Kane don't do forgiveness.
J.R.: But you, Bianca -- you must've been voted most likely to forgive in your yearbook.
Bianca: Why does everyone think that? I mean, when someone hurts me, I don't just let it roll off my back. Babe kept my daughter from me for almost a year. There's no way that I'm over that.
J.R.: You two seem cool.
Bianca: Well, I can be civil with her, sure. But total forgiveness after what she did? Not a chance. And yet somehow you have managed -- oh, my God. You haven't forgiven her at all.
J.R.: I'm not sure I ever will.
Babe: Mama, someone wants me dead.
Krystal: Well, that "someone" is never going to get to you.
Babe: And I hope that you're right. But when the killer is tying ribbons to my gate and sending gardenias to Kendall -- that near-attack on the Fusion roof -- it could've been meant for me.
Krystal: What happened to that feisty little ball of fire that I raised? Huh? That person would never give in to this loony tunes.
Babe: And I'm not giving up on the fight, believe me, but, Mama, I'm scared.
Babe: And -- and this threat -- it's real, and I need to be thinking of Little Adam.
Krystal: Oh. I'll get your stepfather to step up the number of guards on you. And, honey, we will handcuff ourselves to each other and start packing guns if that's what it takes -- whatever it takes to keep you safe.
Babe: And I love you for that. But no matter how many guards I travel with, until someone catches this killer, I'll never be safe.
Jamie: Something isn't right.
Tad: You think? I mean, there are rules about a portrait being stuck with a dart?
Jamie: Just hear me out. The killer has a vendetta against Zach, right? So in order to torture him the most, Kendall would be the last to die -- the ribbon tied around the Chandler gates all but proved it.
Jamie: Babe's supposed to be next.
Tad: Maybe -- unless the killer were Zoe. She might skip over Babe, because Babe is the only friend she's got.
Jamie: Oh, come on. Do you really think Zoe's behind all this?
Tad: No, I don't. But if Zach is right, and it was the killer who locked him in here, then that would've happened after. And Zoe would have to be all but cleared, because she was in jail the entire time.
Jamie: Unless she had someone do it for her.
Tad: No way. Look at that -- that's personal. It's got to be a one-man job.
Jamie: So if it isn't Zoe, then --
Tad: Then our killer could be anywhere.
Annie: Imagine taking Spike in the middle of the night and running. Your heart jumps out of your chest every time you hear a noise, but you have to act as if everything's great so you don't freak out your son.
Kendall: Ok, what you and Emma went through running from your husband -- it was horrific, I know.
Annie: You have no idea. But I think she came out pretty well, considering.
Kendall: Emma's a great kid, I'm not debating that.
Annie: Then try to understand where she's coming from. Kendall, she still has questions. She doesn't get why all of her friends have daddies and she doesn't, why he had to die. All she knows is that she wants a daddy. She -- she loves Ryan, she lives with Ryan, therefore, Ryan should be her father.
Kendall: All right, I'm not blaming Emma.
Annie: No, no, no, you're blaming me. Look, I don't want Emma getting overly attached to Ryan any more than you do. Whatever you want to call this thing between me and Ryan, it may not work out. The last thing I want is Emma losing somebody else.
Kendall: Well, what should we call "this thing" between you and Ryan?
Annie: Whether or not Ryan and I are just good friends, or if we are having a wild, passionate love affair, what the hell is it to you? He isn't Emma's father.
Kendall: No, he isn't. He's Spike's -- this is why I care.
Annie: No, but, see, this isn't about Spike, it's about you. You're married to Zach, but you just -- you have to keep Ryan waiting in the wings.
Kendall: Oh, God -- no, no, you're wrong. That's not true.
Annie: Once someone loves you, you can't let them go. And you certainly can't sit around and watch them fall in love with somebody else. You don't want Ryan, but you don't want me to have him, either. Isn't that what this is really about?
Ryan: You said --
Ryan: That Kendall said that Emma is mine. Now, did you mean that that's Kendall's biggest fear, like, because I spend so much time with Emma, that maybe I'm starting to think of her as mine. Is that what you meant?
Zach: No. What I meant was, is that you are Emma's biological father. And Kendall knows that because she ran the tests.
Ryan: What tests --
Josh: You know what? This is getting -- this is getting ridiculous, all right? Let's just bag this investigation right now.
Ryan: What tests are you talking about?
Zach: Wait a minute, you know this. You know this, because you're the one that ran the DNA tests on Ryan and Emma for Kendall -- perfect match. Pow.
Babe: If something does happen to me, I have to make sure Little Adam is taken care of.
Krystal: Little Adam is a Chandler, honey, and he's never going to want for anything.
Babe: And I'm not talking about money, Mama. If I have ever done anything right in my life, it's because of you, and I want Little A to know that same love. I want to make you legal guardian if I die.
Krystal: You know, this is -- this is morbid, honey. You are not going to die.
Babe: We don't know that, Mama.
Krystal: J.R. -- J.R. is not going to take too kindly to this decision.
Babe: It's my will, my choice.
Krystal: But Little Adam belongs to both of you.
Babe: And J.R. and I do have a shot at being happy again, and, yes, we've made some leeway, but I also have to be realistic. If I die, I don't know how J.R. will deal.
J.R.: You want to know what I think? I'll tell you what I think, but you have to do something for me.
Bianca: Whatever happened to making amends? Now it's "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"?
J.R.: I didn't know if Babe was snowing me. Are she and Josh really over or am I just being scammed?
Bianca: Uh -- as far as I know, Babe and Josh are over.
J.R.: Your sister was here the other night. She was trying to convince me to dump Babe -- Josh put her up to it. Babe and Josh are -- are nowhere near over.
Bianca: J.R., think about it. Josh wouldn't need Kendall's help to get Babe if he already had her.
Babe: This is all about protecting Little A's future, and it's very important to me that he grows up a Carey as much as a Chandler.
Krystal: You know there is another way to go about this, honey. You take J.R. and you take Little Adam, and you get the hell out of dodge until that Satin Slayer is put on death row.
Babe: I promised that I would stand by my partners in Fusion, and that means me staying here and taking my chances.
Krystal: Oh. This is one of those rare moments when I wish you were more like your father -- completely selfish and only concerned about yourself.
Babe: I am scared, Mama, but knowing that you'll have legal rights to my son somehow makes it easier. Please tell me that you'll do this for me. Promise me you'll always take care of my son.
Derek: Lavery --
Jack: Jonathan --
Derek: Calm the hell down.
Jack: Why the hell are you even here, Jonathan?
Jonathan: Because Dani might know who killed my sister? I told you -- I told you this was the guy.
Kenny: I did not kill anybody.
Aidan: And yet you were here visiting Danielle after-hours.
Kenny: I have a connection with all of the Fusion women. I helped give birth to that company, they'll always be a part of me.
Di: That's funny -- because for all that heartfelt, deep connection, I've never heard your name mentioned once.
Kenny: Look, we're all very upset here -- I am, too. I'm sorry I got in the way here. I didn't mean to cause any trouble. Chief, my best to your daughter.
Derek: Oh, this is --
Jonathan: Oh --
Derek: Far from over, Kenny. Lavery, out.
Jonathan: Huh? "Out"? I'm not going anywhere. This guy killed my sister! You have --
Jack: That's why you're going right now.
Jonathan: I --
Jack: Let's go.
Jonathan: I have a right to hear what this guy has to say, Jack.
Jack: Why? Why?
Jack: Why? So you can go set up your own personal trap for him and end up in jail --
Jack: As a vigilante, huh?
Jonathan: What? What, you think I'm a threat? You -- do you honestly still think I'm dangerous, Jack?
Jack: Yes. Yes, Jonathan, I do.
Tad: The sound came from in here.
Jamie: Well, the killer was definitely in here.
Jamie: Dad, the killer was watching us. He was probably watching Zach. And the noise that we heard was him probably taking off.
Tad: No, he wanted us to come in here. Looks like he left us a message.
[On a piece of paper is the message, "Next time."]
Kendall: I love Zach. Zach is my future.
Annie: Then why don't you butt out and let Ryan lead his own life?
Kendall: Because he's my friend, and he's vulnerable.
Annie: Oh, don't even, Kendall. I am on to you. You have been trying to steer me away from Ryan since you first laid eyes on me.
Kendall: Ok, you're totally overreacting.
Annie: Oh, please! First, you say he's not ready for a relationship, then you tell me I look too much like his ex-wife. If -- if this is you befriending me, would you just back off, already?
Kendall: I'm just trying to help.
Annie: Well, you know what? If things go south with me and Ryan, it's my problem, not yours. You picked Zach. Leave Ryan alone.
Kendall: Ok, I've known Ryan a hell of a lot longer than you have.
Annie: Ok, and that matters why?
Kendall: He's the father of my child.
Annie: Right, and you will milk that for all it's worth if it'll help you keep Ryan under your thumb.
Kendall: All right, well -- maybe you're right. Maybe I -- I am coming on a little too strong.
Kendall: I'm sorry, ok? I don't mean to be. I just -- I'm stressed out, and I really miss my son. And it really does mean a lot that you brought him here to see me.
Annie: Of course.
Kendall: Ok -- uh -- do you mind waiting here until Rachael gets back with the kids? I just have something I need to do. But I -- I do want to see Spike more tonight.
Annie: I never mind watching Spike.
Kendall: Great. Great. Thank you. I'll be right back.
Ryan: Kendall had you run a DNA test?
Josh: I -- look, we -- we drugged Slater to find out what he knew about the murders, and whatever else he knew.
Ryan: Why aren't you answering me, Josh? Is it because Zach is drugged, and he's making stuff up, or is it because you are busted?
Ryan: Wow. It's amazing that I can trust Zach more than you and Kendall. Zach?
Ryan: What made Kendall think to run a DNA test on me and Emma? What?
Zach: David Hayward.
Kendall: Ryan, we have to talk about the kids.
Ryan: You know, I was just thinking the exact same thing.
Kendall: You have to talk to Annie, just set her straight. I -- I mean, this -- I think Emma is getting too attached to Spike. Ok? She asked me if -- if she could have Spike as her little brother, Ryan. I mean, I'm worried about that kid.
Ryan: Why are you so worried?
Kendall: Because it's not healthy. Right? Would -- would you guys please help me out here? Would you tell him that it's not right? Zach?
Zach: None of this is right.
Kendall: Honey, are you ok?
Zach: Hmm --
Kendall: Wait, what -- what's going on?
Josh: We gave your husband a sodium-pentothal type of drug to get him to open up about the Cambias connection to the killer.
Kendall: You what?
Josh: You shouldn't be here, all right? Just -- why don't you come with me back to your room until the drug wears off?
Ryan: Nice try, Josh.
Kendall: No, no, I'm not leaving my husband like this. What -- he obviously is not like this willingly. What did you do? What -- what, did you ambush him? You guys, the -- the memories from his childhood are very painful. What in the hell were you thinking? Hello! Why isn't anyone saying anything right now? Why -- why did you do this to him?
Ryan: Because I am tired of being in the dark, Kendall. I'm tired of being thrown into the chaos, because of you and Zach. But it's ok because today, now, everything's changed. I know the truth about everything, Kendall.
Kendall: What are you talking about? What truth?
Zach: I told him about Emma.
J.R.: How do I know that Josh didn't send you over here to throw me off-guard?
Bianca: J.R., if -- if Josh and Babe wanted to be together, they would be together. They wouldn't need to plan some kind of big conspiracy against you. And even if they did, I certainly wouldn't offer up my pathetic love life to throw you off their scent.
J.R.: Babe may say that she's committed to our marriage, but Josh isn't going anywhere. If she'd just kick him out of our lives for good --
Bianca: Yeah, and if Maggie would just never think about Cecilia again --
J.R.: So what are you going to do?
Bianca: I am so tempted just to tell her to get lost. But when I imagine the rest of my life without her, I've never been so depressed.
J.R.: And if you let her back in, you're just setting yourself up for more kicks to the heart.
Bianca: Well, it's no one's call but our own. Either we hold on to the anger and lose the people that we love --
J.R.: Or we welcome them back in and risk getting hurt all over again. Sometimes I think that's worse.
Bianca: They're trying awfully hard to win us back. That's got to count for something. I mean, they could still be off with the people they left us for.
J.R. Then why aren't they?
Bianca: Because they love us? They -- they chose us?
J.R.: Well, when you put it that way --
Bianca: I'm going to take off. Good luck with your recovery.
Krystal: If it makes you sleep easier, I'll call a lawyer, and I'll make it official in the morning.
Babe: Thank you.
Krystal: And could we never talk about this ever again?
Babe: Fine by me. I have no intention of dying.
Krystal: Well, you know, then maybe you ought to stop hanging out with that Zarf character.
Babe: Her name is Zoe. And how can you judge her, Mama? You've never even met her.
Krystal: The police had her locked up.
Babe: She didn't kill anyone and soon the police will know that, too.
Krystal: So you're saying that whoever wants you dead is still out there somewhere?
Babe: I want a house, and -- and I want a baby sister for Little Adam -- not to mention my little sis I have on the way. I have so much left to do, and I'm not putting any of it off a second longer. Because I know now I can't afford to.
Tad: Babe was supposed to be next, then Kendall the finale, and then some kind of big showdown with Zach.
Jamie: Well, with the dart in the neck and the note we just found, maybe it's time to rethink that theory.
Tad: Yeah. So why would the killer skip over Babe?
Derek: Do you know this woman?
Kenny: Never seen her before in my life.
Aidan: You ever crossed paths with Zach Slater before any of this?
Kenny: Never. I know he owns a couple casinos, but I'm not much of a gambler.
Derek: Why did you come to see Danielle? You don't know her. She didn't work at Fusion when you were associated with the company.
Kenny: She's part of the Fusion family -- that connects us.
Aidan: Why did you bring those pictures of Simone and Erin, huh?
Kenny: So she could always keep their memory alive, their -- their spirits.
Di: Hmm -- you think she's going to forget her two best friends?
Kenny: I really shouldn't be defending myself.
Livia: Don't look at me. I won't be defending anyone in this case.
Jack: I know how you feel about this guy. You want to see him suffer, huh? I know how that feels.
Jonathan: You know how that feels?
Jack: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You want to know how I know? Because you kidnapped my daughters and you held them in a cave. How do you think I felt about that, huh? Five minutes alone with you, would have my hands around your throat -- you'd have been dead! You understand me? I kept that anger too long, I stayed on that path too long, and the outcome was you lost Lily, and I hurt a lot of people.
Jonathan: I love your daughter. But ending things was best.
Jack: Maybe. Maybe not, but I know one thing I can do to make it up to you, is I can help you try to save yourself from yourself.
Jonathan: Jack, I do not need --
Jack: Listen to me. If you think that I'm going to allow you to tail everybody we bring in to question here, you've got another thing coming. I will put a cop on you 24/7, I will tie you to a chair in my living room if that's what I have to do, Jonathan. But I will not -- I will not let you go back to that dark part of you ever again.
Jack: Yeah, Montgomery.
Tad: Listen, Jack, it's me. I'm down here at the warehouse. Our killer just took a shot at a portrait of Kendall with a dart -- and he left a message.
Jack: What did the note say?
Tad: "Next time."
Jack: Oh, damn it.
Tad: If I were you, I'd get down here with CSI and tear this place apart.
Jack: I'm all over it.
Jonathan: If you think --
Jack: What -- what did we just talk about?
Jack: Look, we have men tailing him. There's nowhere he can go that they're not going to know where he is, ok?
Derek: I don't know if the guy's full of it or if he really is some sort of sentimental weirdo, but either way, I have nothing to hold him on.
Jack: If that was an experimental run against your daughter, then we'll know that pretty quick. Look, Jonathan, I promise you I am going to do everything I can to make sure that whoever killed Erin is going to be punished, and by "punished," I mean caught, tried, convicted, and put away for a good long time. You have my word on that.
Jonathan: I get it. I'll leave this to you.
Annie: Kendall just wants to make sure that you understand that Spike is her baby, not ours. You know? Like I've told you before, Ryan and Spike are our friends. I know you'd like them to be our family, but that's just not how things are. But we can still love them and even share a home with them, but -- but that's it.
Emma: Does Ryan belong to Kendall, too?
Annie: Hmm. No. No, Ryan does not belong to Kendall.
Kendall: We've talked about this, Ryan. I -- I sometimes think that you spend too much time with Emma --
Kendall: And -- and I'm afraid that you'll start thinking of her as your daughter and -- and forget about Spike. I mean, that's -- that's all Zach meant by that.
Zach: I told him about the DNA test.
Ryan: The one that your brother here ran for you.
Josh: It's over, Kendall. You can't wiggle yourself out of this one.
Ryan: This is real, isn't it? Emma is --
Kendall: No! No, it's not real. Are you crazy? You guys are -- have completely lost your minds. I -- this is -- Zach, tell them, ok? What is wrong with you? What is wrong with you? What, you can't have Babe, so you take it out on me?
Josh: He knows Kendall.
Ryan: And Zach knew about it, too, Kendall. He knew about the DNA test, Kendall.
Kendall: You drugged Zach, ok? If -- if I were him, I would've made up all these lies to make you crazy, too.
Ryan: It's not going to work this time, not when Zach's an open book. I mean, Zach, you know what it is like to have your child taken away from you. Do you honestly feel that it was right to keep this from me?
Zach: No, I told Kendall she was wrong.
Derek: What you two did today was above and beyond, both of you. The risks you took --
Di: I was happy to help out.
Livia: And you know I would do anything for Danielle.
Derek: Well, then go join her and Tom and Mimi in Maui -- that's the best thing you can do for her.
Livia: Hey. A chance to hang out with my favorite niece in Hawaii? I'm no fool.
Livia: I will call you as soon as the plane lands.
Jack: Thank you, ladies, very much.
Jack: Aloha. All right --
Jack: Montgomery. Say what? What was that? All right, thanks for letting us know.
Derek: Bad news?
Jack: Well, you're not going to like it much. Zoe's been released.
Babe: I just wanted to say good night.
J.R.: Why don't you come over here and tell me?
[Babe approaches J.R. and gives him a kiss then kneels in front of him, holding his hand.]
Jamie: Maybe this is all just a big distraction. And maybe the killer wants us to think Kendall is next so we ease up security on Babe.
Tad: Yeah, or what Ryan saw on that rooftop was legitimate -- killer was trying to take out Kendall, he just didn't get the chance.
Jamie: No, this doesn't add up. If this is a way of paying back Zach, why kill every woman at Fusion except for Babe? Who would do that?
Tad: Her father.
Ryan: David Hayward was telling the truth for once in his life --
Kendall: No --
Ryan: Wasn't he?
Kendall: No, Ryan, you're wrong.
Ryan: Because this is what you were afraid of in the police station that Zach had told me. You even -- you even challenged her. You challenged her to tell me the truth. This DNA test exists, doesn't it?
Kendall: No, Zach, come on -- come on, tell him -- tell him it's a lie. Just tell him that you made a mistake.
Ryan: No. You're the only liar here, Kendall. You. Emma is my daughter, isn't she? Isn't she, Kendall? I have a right to know!
Kendall: All right. All right, it's true. Emma is yours.
Next on "All My Children" --
Kendall: And this doesn't mean instant family.
Ryan: Whatever it means is up to me, not you. What is wrong with you?
Kendall: I better hear an apology right now.
Josh: You know who was responsible for Greg's death?
Zach: Tad Martin.
