Adam: You better have a damn good reason for that.

J.R.: Dad, do you know where Krystal keeps her cell phone?

Adam: Why?

J.R.: Well, until this killer is caught, I need to up Little Adam's security, and I thought I should get a hold of his play group teacher, but I can't seem to find the number.

Adam: Have you asked Babe or Winifred?

J.R.: No, I just came up with the idea.

Adam: You're lying. So why don't you try again? Tell me why youíre rifling through Krystalís purse.

Jack: Hey, do me a favor. Will you get this down to homicide? Detective Holt is waiting for it. Thanks. All right, Tad, hereís where you tell me youíve got this whole thing figured out. The case is rock solid. We can all go home.

[Tad giggles]

Tad: I hate to tell you Mr. Special Prosecutor, but the only words coming out of this mouth are, ďAre you paying for lunch?Ē

Derek: Damn it, Iíve seen this already. I asked you for the latest report as in the most recent as in not this!

Jack: Well, Iím worried about him.

Tad: You are. I practically begged him to hand the case off to somebody else and he refused. Heís determined to nail whoever went after Dani personally.

Jack: Thatís why Iím worried. Heís too close to this thing. Tad, do me a favor Ė keep your eye on him for me?

Tad: Iím already on it.

Derek: Better watch your back, Jack. Tad might be a decent PI, but he doesnít always know which side of the law heís on.

Tad: Why donít you take it easy? Iím here to help, not cause problems.

Jack: Derek, it would be awful foolish to refuse any extra manpower, especially someone with as many contacts as Tad has.

Tad: Thank you.

Derek: This what you call help? Adler is a waste of time.

Tad: We donít know that yet.

Jack: Look, I donít care how many friends Kenny Adlerís got on this police force, weíre going to investigate him.

Derek: You all need to be gathering more information on Zarf and not wasting time on this bogus lead.

Jack: Until Iím 100% sure that Zarf is our man Ė or as the case may be Ė nobodyís off the hook, Derek.

Tad: Nobodyís forgetting about Zarf or Zoe or whatever the hell his/her name is. Heís already got warrants out on every single place our singing suspect has been in the last 10 years.

Derek: Already done.

Jack: Good. Iíve set up a hot line for tips.

Derek: 99 out of 100 hot-line tips are cranks.

Tad: And if any of them amounts to a solid lead, itís more than worth it.

Jack: Derek, I want this case solved, and I want it solved fast.

Erica: Well, I certainly hope so, Jack. Otherwise, my daughter could be next.

Zach: He was here.

Kendall: The killer sent these.

Ryan: Let me see that.

Bianca: Maggie, did you see anything suspicious when you came in?

Maggie: No. Nothing. Ryan got here after me.

Babe: Are you sure theyíre not meant for me?

Josh: Why do you say that?

Babe: Jamie found a white ribbon tied to the gate outside my house.

Josh: He what?

Kendall: Oh, my God.

Babe: I thought I was being targeted next.

Ryan: Itís pretty clear who this was meant for.

Kendall: Yep, itís pretty obvious. Iím about to die.

Zach: Youíre going to kill my wife next? Huh? Is that what youíre planning? You knew Iíd come here. Ok, what else did you plant in here, huh? What else you have?

Ryan: Cops are on it.

Josh: This maniac is sending a message loud and clear -- no amount of security is going to keep you women safe.

Ryan: Which is why we have to shut down Fusion, Kendall -- no arguments, no discussion. Just pack up and go home.

Babe: No, it -- Ryan, you don't have to do that.

Josh: Then I will.

Babe: No, please!

Kendall: Otto is here. He's taking care of me. We have Bruno at the stairwell. We -- we've got bodyguards for Babe and Bianca, and then there's all the extra men that you hired from Cambias.

Bianca: No, but he obviously knows that you're here now, so no one is safe in this office.

Josh: No matter how many bodyguards you have.

Babe: Well, at least we can all agree on one thing -- Zoe is innocent. There's no way she could've sent flowers from her jail cell.

Josh: The cops won't necessarily see it that way.

Babe: How can they not?

Josh: This could be a prankster playing a joke.

Bianca: Yeah, or maybe she's had somebody else send flowers for her. Unfortunately, this does not clear Zoe.

Ryan: Zoe is not the only suspect anymore. Do you guys remember a Kenny Adler?

Kendall: Simone's pet lawyer? What, he's back in town?

Ryan: Yes, and he got back before Simone was murdered, and he's been hanging out at ConFusion ever since.

Kendall: No, no, no. Itís not Kenny.

Babe: Why not?

Ryan: Kenny already admitted that he was obsessed with Simone.

Kendall: He's not creepy obsessed with her, Ryan. He used to have a thing for her, but I -- I've known Kenny a long time. He's harmless.

Maggie: Kenny, Zoe -- who cares who it is? Bottom line -- no one is safe here.

Josh: And with Fusion orders drying up, there's no reason for you guys to be here anyway.

Kendall: Yes, there is. If we don't rework this whole Zarf campaign, the company will fold completely.

Ryan: And then maybe the killer will fold, too.

Babe: The person who wants us dead isn't going to have a change of heart just because the company goes belly-up.

Josh: How can you be sure?

Bianca: Well, I do think that we're probably safer together than apart.

Kendall: Great. Then let's all get back to work. Who are you calling?

Ryan: I'm calling Zach. I just want to see how he feels about you getting those flowers.

Zach: You knew I'd come here. So what do you want from me, huh? You went to a lot of trouble -- what is it? What do you want from me?

[Through a hidden camera, someone watches Zach]

Jack: Look, if you've come here to watch over my shoulder, just please turn around and go back the way you came. This is not the place to air our personal problems.

Erica: I came about Kendall and Bianca.

Jack: Well, they're ok, aren't they?

Erica: Well, you tell me. I heard that the musician they hired had been arrested for the murders.

Tad: Zarf is only a suspect.

Erica: What does that mean, Tad? Does that mean he might not be the one?

Jack: It means he's a suspect, Erica, nothing more, nothing less. Now, could we please go back to work?

Jeff: Give her a break, Jack. She's worried about her kids.

Jack: And you just had to come along and worry with her, huh?

Tad: Oh, excuse me. I'm sorry. Could I talk to you for just a sec?

Erica: Look, despite our personal issues, I know that you like to get results. Well, so do I. So please, Jack, whatever you have on this Zarf person, tell me. I would like to know everything, please.

Jeff: Come on, Tad, please. I -- I don't want to hear this, not now. Erica needs me.

Tad: Yeah, well, you and Erica are the last thing that Jack needs, so what the hell are you thinking?

Jeff: Jack signed the divorce papers. Let him suck it up and deal with it.

Tad: "Suck it up"? Like this town hasn't got enough trouble right now without you and Erica coming in to harass Jack?

Erica: So you don't have all the evidence to convict him?

Jack: Nope.

Erica: But what about your gut, Jack? Is Zarf the one? Do you think he's the man who killed Simone and -- and Ryan's sister, Erin?

Derek: Yes. And he tried to kill my daughter, as well.

Jack: We don't know that for sure, Derek.

Erica: Derek, I am so sorry about Danielle.

Derek: Thank you, Erica.

Erica: And so surely, you know why I'm here. I -- I am so terrified for my own two daughters.

Derek: Yes, and I'm doing everything I can to keep this psycho locked up, but your husband has his own ideas.

Jack: Yeah, my idea is to do my job, which is to make sure all the Tís are crossed and the Iís are dotted.

Erica: Jack, while you are working on your penmanship, this lunatic could get out of jail, and he could launch his next attack on one or both of my daughters!

Jack: Erica, I'm doing everything I can, ok?

Erica: Just stop it! Stop with this dismissive attitude and stop being so stubborn! This is a matter of life and death, Jack, and if you don't take action, we could lose everything -- everything. Does that matter to you?

Jack: If you don't think I want to catch this killer before he gets to Bianca or Kendall, then you don't know me at all.

Adam: You weren't looking for a phone number. You were snooping. Why, J.R.? What were you looking for in Krystal's purse?

Dixie: Uh -- J.R., honey? Hi. Sorry to interrupt. Do you have a minute? I want to show you specs of some of the houses I've been looking at.

J.R.: Do you mind?

Adam: No, absolutely not. I -- in fact, I have to check on that Lamoreaux merger. Yes. See you later.

Dixie: Oh, thank you. I don't know what you were about to tell your father, but I know exactly why you were looking through Krystal's purse. You still think there's some kind of secret.

J.R.: I believe Colby, Mom. I believe that Krystal's hiding something, and if you're not going to tell me what it is, I'm going to find out myself.

Dixie: Well, there's -- there's nothing to find out. There is no secret!

J.R.: Oh, really? If that's the case, why can't you look me in the eye and tell me?

Dixie: Oh, for crying out loud, you're just reading into things.

J.R.: You know, there's no sense in denying it. I'm on to you, Mom. As much as I love you, you are a terrible liar.

Zach: So that's it, huh? That's the only thing you wanted me to find was this? Nothing else? You don't have anything else for me? Love letters, huh? Who are they from?

Ryan: Either Zach's out of cell range, or he's got his phone turned off.

Kendall: Well, there goes your ace in the hole. All right, ladies, we have a campaign to salvage.

Ryan: Kendall, please, please don't do this, please. I guarantee you your husband doesn't want you to stay here any more than I do.

Josh: You know he's right, Kendall.

Kendall: Zach's not here, so he doesn't get a vote.

Ryan: No. He's at a storage warehouse going through a bunch of Cambias property trying to figure out who killed my sister and who sent you those flowers.

Kendall: Good. And I have -- I have every faith in him that he'll find out. Babe, can you pull up the original teen research? I've done a few calculations on how much the overhaul will cost us.

Ryan: You're determined to get yourself killed today, aren't you?

Kendall: No, I'm determined to save my company.

Ryan: Well, I'm not going to stick around and watch either.

Kendall: Um -- Babe, the research?

Babe: Are you sure?

Bianca: Kendall, I know that you don't want to hear this, but --

Kendall: Binks, I'm not -- I'm not leaving Fusion.

Bianca: It doesn't have to be permanently! When's the last time you took a vacation?

Kendall: Would you just let it go already?

Bianca: I don't want to see you get hurt, or worse. Maybe you should just -- I don't know -- drop out of sight for a little while.

Maggie: You know, Bianca, you should do the same, because you're a part of this company, too, which means that you are no safer than Kendall or Babe.

Kendall: Ok, shut up, Maggie. No one asked you.

Maggie: Please just take Miranda and come back to Paris for a while --

Bianca: You know, maybe you don't have a problem deserting the people you love, but I do.

Josh: All right, Bianca said you're safer together than apart. I happen to agree, so why don't we all go somewhere together and get something to eat?

Kendall: Well, Maggie can be our food taster.

Josh: Let's just get out of the office.

Kendall: Fine. If you guys want to, go and have a good time. But I'm staying here and trying to save the company, even if I have to use my own money. I'll work alone.

Babe: You won't be alone, Kendall. If you're staying, I'm staying with you. Greenlee may have given me her shares to this company as a cruel joke, but I am getting the last laugh. For the first time in my life, I actually have something that I can call my own, something that I can contribute to and be proud of. So I totally agree with Kendall -- there's no way we can bail now.

Kendall: As much as it churns my stomach to say this, thank you, Babe. I'm glad not everyone wants to tank the company.

Josh: Saving Fusion is not the issue! Dealing with this demented psychopath is more important.

Babe: So, Kendall, I do have some ideas how we can turn around the campaign while paying tribute to our friends.

Kendall: Now that -- that's a good idea.

Babe: Hmm.

Josh: Will you talk to them?

Bianca: Uh -- look, I -- you guys have a lot invested in this company -- I get it -- but we're talking about your lives here.

Kendall: No, we're talking about dumping Zarf from the campaign and starting from scratch, so if you're not talking about that, then don't talk at all. Babe, you were saying?

Josh: You know what? Will you quit encouraging her?

Kendall: Like it or not, Josh, Babe is a big girl. She can make her own decisions. You don't get a say in what she does any more than Ryan gets a say in what I do.

Bianca: Kendall, where are you going?

Kendall: I'm going to the roof to get some fresh air away from you guys. Call me when the naysayer is gone. Otto, tell Bruno I'm coming up.

Josh: This is ridiculous.

Babe: You really are worried about us?

Josh: You think?

Babe: But if you're so convinced that the killer's behind bars --

Josh: Look, I'm not convinced of anything. I believe Zoe.

Babe: Thank you, Josh.

Dixie: Oh.

J.R.: Do you really think that I can't tell when you're keeping something from me?

Dixie: I think that you get an idea in your head and then no one can convince you otherwise, even if you're wrong.

J.R.: But I'm not wrong, not this time.

Dixie: Would you just drop it? Let it go!

J.R.: Why won't you tell me what Krystal is hiding? Why are you protecting her?

Dixie: I'm not.

J.R.: Are you protecting Tad? Because if this is something about him, I am his stepson, and I love him, and I have a right to know.

Dixie: Well, you two have had your moments.

J.R.: Well, yeah. When he helped Babe and Jamie kidnap my son, I didn't think that I would ever forgive him for that. But, you know, ever since he helped you with this Madden trial, it's made up for a lot.

Dixie: Well, what if something happened down the road that made you angry with him again?

J.R.: Wait a second. You're seriously freaking out about this secret -- why? Is Tad in some kind of trouble or is he in danger? I mean, is -- is it -- is it going to hurt him?

Dixie: No, it's not. It -- oh. Actually, I think what Krystal knows could help Tad tremendously.

J.R.: Then why hasn't he said anything about it?

Dixie: Uh --

J.R.: Because he doesn't know anything about it.

Dixie: Uh --

J.R.: Mom, this is obviously tearing you apart. Why don't you tell me? Why don't you talk and let me help you with this?

Dixie: I wish -- I -- I wish I could, but -- sometimes, honey, helping one person means hurting another. And I can't bear to cause anybody any more pain.

J.R.: Who is this going to hurt? You know, if it's me, I need to know about this, because I can't be the last to know, not like with this whole Babe and Josh thing.

Dixie: No, it's not you, sweetheart, I promise.

J.R.: Well, then -- then who? If it's not Tad Ė my father?

Tad: I swear to God, Jeff, for the life of me, I just can't believe you're doing this. I mean, come on -- think about it. Jackson Montgomery is out there busting his hump trying to catch a killer, ok? The last thing he needs right now is for you and Erica to parade in here and flash your whatever the hell you want to call it in his face. Right?

Jeff: Now, wait a minute. Nobody is flashing anything. Erica is here -- it's because she's worried sick about her daughters, and I'm here to support her. Now, if Jack is not interested in doing that, then, well, I'd be more than happy to take his place.

Tad: Well, that's just it -- you know what? I know you want to, but you can't take his place. Ok? They have been doing that little dance out there for years, just as long as me and Dixie.

Jeff: Well, their dance is over.

Tad: You cannot bank on that. Come on, Jeff. Look, I know how much you love Erica. The fact is, I love you. I don't want to see you hurt, ok? So do me a favor, take my advice. You want to protect yourself -- don't write them off just yet.

Jack: So did anybody see who delivered these gardenias?

Derek: Unfortunately, no. They were left outside Fusion with Kendall's name on the card.

Jack: Well, somebody had to have ordered them.

Derek: Someone did, over the phone. The delivery was charged to Fusion.

Jack: But what name did they use?

Derek: Simone Torres.

Jack: "Simone Torres" -- you got to be kidding me, right?

Derek: We're getting leads on the florist now, but don't expect this phone number to yield anything.

Erica: Jack? I'm sorry. I know how much you love Bianca and Kendall, and I'm sure that you are doing everything possible to keep them safe.

Jack: Yes, I am, and I always will.

Erica: When I heard on the radio that you were heading this task force, I was actually relieved. There's no better person for this job.

Jack: Thank you for saying that.

Erica: Please, Jack. Please, I am so terrified of losing my daughters. Please tell me what I can do to help.

Zach's voice: "Amelia, I saw you last night as you went into the ballroom -- took my breath away, holding those gardenias, that white, satin ribbon around your neck. Your way of letting me know you were thinking of me. I'm thinking only of you, always." "Being with you today was as wonderful as it was unbearable. I hated seeing you so sad. How can I convince you to leave that man and be with me? Tell him you love me, Amelia. Tell him I'll always keep you safe. Better yet, slip out when he isn't looking. You don't owe him a single word." "I bought the tickets today. I think I looked at them a hundred times already just to remind myself it's happening. One more week, and you'll be mine forever." "What went wrong? Why didn't you come to meet me? I'm praying nothing terrible has happened. Please write back. I'll keep waiting every night until I hear otherwise. Can't live without you. All my love. R."

Zach: He wrote this right after she died. Did you send these to my mom? Huh? And then you found out how she died and now you blame me?

[Someone locks Zach inside the storage room]

Kendall: All clear?

Otto: You're all clear.

Kendall: Ok, good. Would you mind leaving me alone for a few minutes? Bruno is right down at the stairwell. You can wait right inside the door. I'll be fine.

Otto: Ok.

Kendall: Thanks.

[As Kendall stands on the roof, someone jumps down on her]

Kendall: Get the hell away from me! Oh, God. Oh, my God.

Ryan: Have I made my point?

Kendall: Is your point that you're a complete ass? Because you have made that point loud and clear, Ryan!

Ryan: My point is that you are not safe.

Kendall: Jerk! You jerk! You almost gave me a heart attack! Well, you know what? You say you don't want me to die, and then you try to scare me to death?

Ryan: You and your pals better step it up a little bit, Otto. Obviously, the roof was not clear.

Kendall: Yeah, I give you permission to shoot him.

Ryan: No, she doesn't.

Kendall: No, fine, then wring his neck -- something.

Ryan: Look -- look, just do me a favor. Just go back to your post. Would you do that for me, please?

Kendall: He's fine. God.

Ryan: Do you have any idea how lucky you are to be alive, Kendall?

Kendall: I was just thinking the same thing about you, Ryan.

Ryan: I could have had a syringe in you before you even knew it. I could have thrown you off the roof and let you fall to your death -- like Zach's mother.

Kendall: No. You know what you could do? You could also mind your own business and let my husband worry about protecting me.

Ryan: Well, obviously, for all Zach's trying, he can't keep you totally safe, which is why you have to get out of Pine Valley, Kendall. This is proof of that.

Kendall: Out of Pine Valley, or away from Zach?

Ryan: Both.

Kendall: Mm-hmm, see? That's what I thought.

Ryan: Don't read too much into this, ok, Kendall? This is just common sense here. Until we find out whoever's doing this, you're not safe. And your husband feels the same way.

Kendall: My husband is the reason I won't run. Zach's under attack as much as any of us. I won't leave him to deal with this alone.

Ryan: He'll deal with this a lot better if he doesn't have to worry about you.

Kendall: He promised that he would protect me, ok? And -- and I trust that he will. If -- if I run now, he'll think I lost faith in him. But I haven't. And I never -- I never will.

Ryan: You want to prove that you have faith in your husband. You don't have to die to do that.

Jeff: Jack is divorcing Erica. You heard him say so yourself. Now, you can call me old-fashioned, but that's -- that's pretty final.

Tad: Excuse me. I seem to recall the fact that you divorced Erica, and yet, here you are.

Jeff: Well, she's not getting away this time.

Tad: Jeff, are you sure you know what you're doing?

Jeff: There's not a doubt in my mind.

Erica: Jack, there must be something I can do.

Jack: There is. You can convince Kendall and Bianca to close up shop until we get this thing solved.

Erica: Abandon Fusion?

Jack: Look, I know -- I know you believe they should stick to their guns on principle, but this is a very high-profile case, Erica. The media is watching and reporting every move those women make. They're asking for trouble.

Erica: I don't think that they want to attract danger.

Jack: Then talk to them. Get them to understand how foolish it is to be challenging this madman.

Erica: I don't think that I can tell them to back down.

Jack: Fine. I just hope to God that you don't have to stand up and tell everybody how brave they were in a eulogy at their funerals. Oh, as always, Martin, your timing is impeccable.

Jeff: Look, I -- I should get back to the hospital. Are you ready to go?

Erica: Very.

Bianca: I think that for the display, we should go with really simple and elegant.

Babe: And nothing to do with Zarf.

Bianca: No, no, but everything to do with Simone, Erin, and Danielle.

Babe: I totally agree -- in a non-obvious way, though.

Bianca: Oh, right, of course. I think if it's really, really classy, it'll be tribute enough.

Maggie: I like it.

Babe: I do, too. What do you girls think about colors, though?

Bianca: Actually, I saw a color in a magazine that I thought was really beautiful last week. I tore it out. It's in my purse.

Babe: Great.

Josh: If you guys are really going to do this --

Babe: We are.

Josh: Well, then you deserve to have the very best working with you.

Babe: I don't want you here if you're going to keep reminding us that we're walking bull's-eyes.

Josh: I won't say another word.

Babe: What made you change your mind about Zoe?

Josh: She asked me to protect you.

Babe: She shouldn't have done that.

Josh: Well, she cares about you. You're the only one who listened to her, the only one to believe her. And you were right.

J.R.: This secret -- does it affect my father?

Dixie: Look, you have to drop this. Ok? You promise me that you will.

J.R.: No, but if it is about my family, and if they're in trouble, I -- I just can't be --

Dixie: Honey -- if I could tell you everything, I promise you, I would. But I need time, ok, to sort all this out. And I need to know that you are going to give me that time -- without stirring anything up, or pursuing this on your own.

J.R.: Yeah, but this is hurting you, and you really need to talk to me about this. I can't --

Dixie: I don't want to talk about it. I want to make this decision on my own, in my own way -- what to do and how to do it. I'm begging you, give me the time that I need. If you love me, you won't ever mention this again, ok?

J.R.: I do love you. And I know that you love me and Tad, and you will do what's best for us.

Dixie: Ok. So not another word.

J.R.: Not until you say otherwise.

Dixie: Thank you.

Adam: I thought she'd never leave.

J.R.: You were waiting?

Adam: Mm-hmm. Yes, I'm not going to let you off the hook that easily. What were you looking for in Krystal's purse?

J.R.: Dad, I can't take being cooped up in this house anymore, wondering where Babe is, wondering if she's really where she says she is. Look, now that I can move around some, I want to make myself feel a little more useful while I'm in this chair.

Adam: And searching Krystal's purse accomplishes this how?

J.R.: I'm desperate, Dad. I want to hang on to my son. I know it was a long shot, but I was looking in Krystal's purse to see if I could find something against Babe. Maybe some evidence of the affair, or anything. I don't know.

Adam: Well, you better be glad that it was me that walked through that door and not Krystal or Babe.

J.R.: All right, well, I'll certainly be more careful from now on.

Adam: Yeah, and what is this -- this story that Colby has been spreading around? That Babe protected some weirdo who wore a dress on New Year's Eve?

J.R.: Oh, yeah. The guy's name is Zarf. He's a pretty big celebrity.

Adam: Yeah, Colby showed me his CD.

J.R.: He started a job at Fusion. Soon after, Erin and Simone turned up dead. This guy is the cops' main suspect. He also claims that he's a woman in a guy's body.

Adam: For Godís sake -- Babe is backing him?

J.R.: She was hiding him out in our tunnels!

Adam: And you're wasting time going through -- through Krystal's purse? Babe put Little Adam's life at risk -- not to mention, his moral values -- by bringing that perverted -- whatever you call it -- into this house. That ought to be grounds enough to give you full custody.

J.R.: Well, the guy hasn't been convicted yet. I, on the other hand, did try to kill Babe.

Adam: Come on. That could be easily explained. You were -- it was an accident. You were -- you were drunk, yes, and you -- you stumbled into a lot of building mat -- listen, this guy, Zarf -- put him on the stand. In a dress. You get my drift?

[Adam laughs]

Adam: You got to look into this Zarf guy. He's going to help you build your case against Babe.

J.R.: Well, there's not a lot I can do from this chair.

Adam: Well, you got Jenkins. He'll help you. He'll take you anywhere you want to go.

Babe: God, I wish Simone, and Erin, and Danielle were here.

Bianca: You might as well just go. I mean, we're going to be here working all day.

Maggie: I want to help.

Bianca: You can't.

Maggie: You guys are shorthanded. I'll do grunt work. I'll -- anything. Tell me what you need.

Bianca: I need you to leave.

Maggie: Bianca, you're in danger, and Iím worried sick about you. So ask me anything, but do not ask me to leave you.

Bianca: Ok. Make some copies of this.

Kendall: I have no intention of running, and I have no intention of dying. Therefore, itís a win-win for everyone. Yay!

Ryan: Somebody thinks that Zach killed his own mother, and they want him to pay for it. And the best way to make him pay is to kill you. And that doesnít freak you out at all. Not even a little bit?

Kendall: If this maniac thinks that Zach killed his mother, and thatís why heís killing my friends, then heís crazy.

Ryan: Thank you. You just proved my point.

Zach: Great, no signal. Oh, God, Kendall.

Erica: Well, doesn't anyone know how to break up and make it stick?

Jack: So what do you think, Tad? That it's just another crackpot?

Tad: I don't know. What do I look like, The Amazing Kreskin? I just think I owe it to you to say that much to her chagrin, none of her boys ever graduated from the Ruth Martin school of etiquette.

Jack: Ah. Well, you know what? Jeff couldn't get to first base with Erica if she wasn't playing ball.

Tad: Still, I am sorry if he added to your stress.

Jack: I appreciate that, pal. I do. I'll tell you what I don't get. How is it that you can be tried and convicted in someone's mind and have no idea what the hell you've done?

[Tad is surprised to see J.R. come into the police station in his wheelchair]

Zach: I didn't do it! Do you hear me? My mother fell! I didn't take her from you. You can't blame me for this. And you can't take Kendall. You can't take Kendall.

Kendall: I came up here to clear my head, and now you've only made it hurt. Do you mind?

Ryan: At least knock off work for the day, Kendall. Please, just for the day. Just go home.

Kendall: You can leave now, Ryan. Can you wait down in the stairwell for me? I just need a few more minutes alone.

Ryan: Oh, you got to be -- you are unbelievable.

[Someone watches Kendall through binoculars]

Ryan: I couldn't leave you alone up here, Kendall.

[Further up on the roof, someone picks up a pair of binoculars and runs away]

Ryan: What was that? Guys, get out here right now!

Kendall: Ryan, what are you yelling about? Relax!

Ryan: Get out! I saw something -- I heard something up on that roof! Get her out of here. Get her out of here! Call the cops!

Kendall: Please, youíre scaring me. Donít go up there, Ryan!

[Ryan begins to ascend the ladder to the roof]
