[Doorbell rings at Chandler Mansion]
J.R.: Aren't you due at the courthouse?
Dixie: Uh -- yeah.
J.R.: I was just about ready to head that way myself.
Dixie: I wanted to find out about Colby. Have you heard anything? Oh, God. Oh -- no.
J.R.: She's gone, Mom.
Dixie: Oh, God. Oh, I'm so sorry.
J.R.: She's lost. Just like Kate, we're never going to find Colby again.
Josh: Hallelujah! It's a miracle, Babe -- little Colby back from the dead.
Colby: Let go of me, jerk.
Babe: Colby -- my God, we thought you were --
Colby: Oh --
[Colby pretends to faint on the sofa.]
[David sneaks into Tadís house, puts his toothbrush in a small plastic bag, and pockets it. Before he can get out, however, Tad walks in.]
Annie: You think I'm trying to hook Ryan?
Kendall: He protected you from the bad guy, gave you a place to live, a job, lots of one-on-one time --
Annie: I'm grateful to Ryan, but that doesn't --
Kendall: You know what? The bad guy is gone, he's dead, the crisis is over. What's wrong with a nice little thank-you on a post card from another town? Instead, you want to stick around and reel Ryan in.
Annie: I'm not interested in snagging --
Kendall: You know what? The guy slayed the dragon for you, ok? I mean, now you have to have him in your bed, too?
Annie: Hmm -- technically, his brother took care of my dragon.
Kendall: I am sick to death of damsels in distress using their troubles to go after the men who rescue them.
Annie: Are we talking about Ryan and me, or Dixie and your husband?
Zach: Any idea when my lawyer will be here?
Zach: Soon, huh?
[Knock on door]
[Zach chuckles when Ryan walks in.]
Zach: I knew you couldn't stay away. Everybody wants to know if I put Madden in that box. And now you want to put the last nail in my coffin.
Kendall: Zach's trial starts today. And the world is going to pig out on what a lying, cheating, murdering menace to society he is. And he did it to help someone. He didn't know how to say no. Now he's facing a murder rap and a life sentence. So you can see why I'm really tired of women screaming "SOS" and then taking down the men who help them.
Annie: Thank God I'm a bad shot.
Kendall: Ok, shooting Ryan was an accident, and you really did need his help, I get that. But I will not let you take advantage of Ryan. If you pull this little damsel-in-distress act and -- and call him up every time you have a hangnail, I will not let that happen. No, no, I know. I know that Ryan is a total catch, ok? He's definitely a step above your sleazy ex-husband. But Ryan already has a life, a very full life, and he has a son who needs him a lot. So if you think that you can get into his bed and -- what the hell are you smiling at?
Ryan: You really want to pick a fight right now, Zach?
Zach: Can I have some time alone with my friend, please?
Bailiff: I'll be right outside.
Zach: Wouldn't expect anything less. So, Ryan, you ready for your surprise testimony -- the disc that has Maddenís last words on it that you found in someone's closet?
Ryan: I'm not testifying, Zach.
Zach: Why not? Me out of the way, you and Kendall together, if you're not already -- isn't that why you're here?
Ryan: If I wanted you gone, I would've given the disc to the cops a long time ago, Zach. But you know what I did instead of that? I planted it on J.R. -- another suspect, take a little bit of the light off of you -- and on top of that, I've been playing along with your alibi. I've been covering your ass, Zach, when you've been nothing but an ass to Kendall and to me.
Zach: But why? Why would -- and I know it means more face time with you and Kendall, but you blow my alibi, I'm gone for good.
Ryan: You want to know why? Because I can't forget that Spike wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you, that you fought for him and for Kendall in the hospital. And when you thought there was a chance that Spike might be Maddenís, you got Kendall through that.
Zach: Gratitude? Ok, you're welcome.
Ryan: You go to prison, I did everything I could, Zach. You see, clear conscience. If something happens between Kendall and me after that --
Ryan: Well, then, you know --
Zach: Now, that makes sense -- that makes sense to me.
Ryan: You go down, it's not on my head. You see, I made that mistake before. Now there is only one person that can come between you and Kendall, and that's you.
Zach: Me, huh? So if I get off, can I have her back?
Kendall: You think this is funny, this is a joke?
Annie: I am just happy for Ryan. It's about time you got it.
Kendall: Excuse me?
Annie: You told me not so long ago that Ryan wasn't yours to share, and now you're marking your territory.
Kendall: I'm trying to protect Ryan.
Annie: You don't want to let him go.
Kendall: He's my friend, he's the father of my child.
Annie: No -- it's a good thing. Maybe now you're ready to work things out.
Kendall: There's nothing to work out. Ryan and I know exactly where we stand.
Annie: Hmm -- but you'd be happier if I wasn't standing so close. Look, Ryan has been a great friend to me, total hero. He could've kicked me out the first time I threatened to kill him with a fireplace brush. But he didnít. He gave me a home, a job, friendship -- what's not to like?
Kendall: That's sweet. So you're sticking around Pine Valley, because he's been such a good friend?
Annie: Well, and so has his sister. She's one of the best friends I've ever had. And his brother -- Jonathan put his life on the line to protect Lily and Emma.
Kendall: Yes, but Ryanís the one you're after.
Annie: The only plans I have for Ryan don't go past a round of karaoke.
Kendall: I wouldn't expect you to admit it.
Annie: Kendall, my life doesn't suck for the first time in forever. I'm just getting my legs, finding my balance, trying to make sure things are ok for Emma. The last thing I need to be doing is going after a man.
Kendall: Even a man who makes everything better and looks sensational doing it?
Annie: Is that what Ryan does for you -- makes everything better? Are you finally admitting it, Kendall? You want Ryan.
Tad: I'm not in the mood. I'm sure the police will be.
David: I'm not sure you want them to hear the answer.
Tad: Is that a threat?
David: Friendly advice.
Tad: You don't have any friends. All you have is pathetic hope you're going to win Dixie back. And this is the first day of her trial, which leads me to ask, is there some connection?
David: Where would the fun be in me telling you?
Tad: There's nothing fun about this. God knows you've struck out finding Kate like the rest of us. Which means you think getting Dixie off the hook is the last chance you're going to get to play hero. And I am the eyewitness, so you get rid of me, no testimony, Dixie doesn't do any time. Ok, Hayward, what's the plan? You going to slip me something, huh? Hmm? You going to stick me in a crate, pack me off to Mongolia?
David: Been there, done that.
Tad: You're not leaving this room till you tell me.
David: Fine. I was trying to find proof that your testimony's a joke. Dixie hurt you, so now you want her to pay with her life. Not even I'm that twisted.
Tad: Hayward, this is more important than you're ever going to know. Did you plant something -- a bug, a microphone, any kind of listening device?
David: You know something? You're starting to sweat -- right there.
Tad: Don't move.
David: I wouldn't dream of it. Ahem.
Babe: My God, Colby, sweetie, wake up. We were so worried about you. Colby -- oh, my God, we thought that you were dead, honey.
Josh: She's the healthiest corpse Iíve ever seen. She's fine, Babe.
Babe: What are you even doing here in all places? Why were you in the tunnel?
Colby: Hmm -- I can't remember. Where am I?
Colby: Is that my name? I don't feel so good.
Babe: Ok, look at me. What hurts?
Josh: Yeah, I think she got busted. Anything coming back to you yet?
Colby: Mm-hmm. There was music and a party -- I think.
Josh: She thinks?
Colby: And then a crash, and water everywhere. It was so cold.
Babe: "So cold." This is lamer than the whole fake sleepwalking.
Colby: I don't know how I got here.
Josh: Well, maybe your friend remembers.
Babe: "Friend," huh? Hmm.
[Babe reaches into the secret tunnel and pulls Sydney out.]
Sydney: Babe, please, just let go of me. I'll explain.
Babe: Really? Why? Do you have amnesia, too?
Sydney: No. I -- I was just cleaning for my Aunt Winifred, and I thought I saw a mouse.
Josh: A rat's more like it.
Colby: Who are you?
Sydney: Anyway, I followed it -- the mouse -- and I got lost.
Josh: Well, at least they had plenty to eat and drink. There's pillows and blankets in there, as well. It looks like a slumber party to me.
Babe: Give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you dead right now. Do you have any idea what you've done to this family? Your daddy is in pieces, your brother thinks that he's cursed, they're planning a memorial service right now, and you're hiding in tunnels? What the heck, Colby?
Colby: Why would I hide? Who am I hiding from?
Babe: Would you care to refresh her memory? No? Oh -- we could get your Aunt Winnie in here. I'm sure she would love to hear this.
Sydney: Little Miss Forgetful is just afraid, because she wrecked the boat and a lot of people got hurt. She was going to run away.
Colby: You skank! Shut your flippin' face! You said you were going to keep my secret.
Sydney: And I know her dad loves her so much.
Colby: You were amped to take my place, be the new daughter.
Sydney: I just don't know how she could do this to any of you.
Colby: Oh, this is bull. Last night, you promised to help me.
Babe: Ok, wait, hold on. Last night, you were giving food and supplies to Colby, weren't you? You knew and said nothing?
Colby: Sydney was going to get the combination to Daddyís safe, so I would have money to run away.
Babe: No, no, no, and you -- you were going to let your father think that you were dead and rob him? Are you even human, Colby?
Colby: Sydney is just as guilty as I am.
Josh: And almost as stupid.
Babe: You saw what this was doing to this family, to J.R. and his daddy. You let Adam comfort you, and you said nothing? Shame on you, Sydney. I would expect more from you.
Sydney: I'm so sorry.
Babe: No, I don't want to hear anything more from you.
Colby: You want to hitch a ride on my life, you get a taste of this, too.
Babe: And you -- you are coming with me, because we have a memorial service to cancel.
Colby: No, listen, I know this is bad -- I do, really. I'm not totally heartless, but you have to see it from my side.
Babe: No, thanks. I think I've seen enough.
Colby: Everyone hates me.
Josh: Well, if they didn't already --
Colby: You know, ever since I got here, I've been a total outsider. Why stick around when I could just disappear and make everyone else happy?
Josh: You think your family is happy, Colby?
Colby: I heard J.R. He was so ticked off. He said if I hadn't died, he would have killed me.
Babe: You heard that? You have been here since the morning after the accident?
Colby: Where else was I going to go?
Babe: Colby -- the Coast Guard had a ton of people looking for you. You -- you cost your daddy thousands of dollars and even more tears. Oh, my God. If you would have just showed your -- if you would have just let us know, J.R. wouldn't have stayed out all night, he wouldn't have shut, and I -- you have no, no idea what you've done.
Colby: You hate me. I know you do. You know, I -- no more trouble.
Josh: No, no, you're not going anywhere.
Colby: No, why don't you guys just get me to my car, and let no one know, and if you can spare me some cash, I can just --
Babe: You know what? No, no, Colby. You don't just get to mess up lives, break hearts, and skip out of town. I don't think so.
Colby: You should really, really, really want me gone.
Josh: Ahem -- I do.
Colby: And if you want me to stay so badly, you're going to play it my way.
Babe: You're not exactly in the position to demand anything.
Colby: When I see my daddy and he's kissing me and everyone's crying, and I'm trying to act like I don't know what happened or where I was or how I got here, you'll pass out tissues, and you'll shut your mouth.
Babe: Really? Maybe she did get hit on the head.
Colby: Yeah, yeah, and then with this whole amnesia thing, it would really work for you, too -- both of you. Because if I don't have amnesia, oh, I don't know, I just might all of a sudden remember what I know.
J.R.: How are you holding up?
Dixie: Oh, I'm ok. We spent the morning picking the jury and then the judge broke us for lunch, so I have to go back.
J.R.: I'm coming with you.
Dixie: No, you are not. You are staying here.
J.R.: No, you need somebody on your side in that courtroom.
Dixie: No, I don't want you to hear some of the things that they're going to say about me.
J.R.: You can't talk me out of it. Babe's coming, too.
Dixie: J.R., I want you to stay here with Babe, ok? You guys need each other. How -- how are you doing?
J.R.: She didn't give up on me. We're in a really good place right now.
Babe: You are not squirming out of this, Colby.
Colby: If I have to explain where I was last night, so will you -- to J.R.
Babe: J.R. knows where I was. He was there.
Colby: Not the whole time.
J.R.: You were right about focusing on family, Babe. I feel closer to her than I have in a really long time. You know, maybe we can get back to where we were before --
Dixie: I came back.
Dixie: Well, I'm happy for you, ok? Adam? I'm so sorry. I know how close you and -- and Colby were.
Adam: Yeah, we had so little time. I scarcely got to know my own daughter, and now I never will.
Sydney: Thank God. You're all here.
Krystal: Sydney, now's not a good time.
Sydney: It's perfect. You have to see.
J.R.: Sydney, tone it down a little bit. We're in the middle of something right now.
Sydney: But she's back.
Adam: Who's back?
Colby: If you want to stay married to my brother, you'll do what I say.
Babe: J.R. knows all about my friendship with Josh.
Colby: Every little friendly thing?
Babe: I don't know what game you're playing, Colby, but put it away. It won't work.
Josh: You're in enough trouble as it is, princess. It'd be wise of you to stay out of our business.
Colby: You blow me off, and you'll be sorry.
Adam: Is it true? Colby. Colby! Thank God! Thank God you're ok. Are you all right?
Krystal: Oh, my Lord. It's a bona fide miracle for the Chandlers.
J.R.: What's he doing here?
Josh: I'll leave. I'll see you later.
Dixie: Well, that's one happy ending today.
J.R.: Maybe there'll be another one.
Dixie: Listen, I hate to break the moment, but I have to get back to the courthouse.
J.R.: I'll be there before it starts.
Adam: Look -- my beautiful daughter, alive.
Colby: You're my daddy?
Adam: Well, of course, I am -- forever.
Colby: I'm home? This is my home?
Adam: Yes, you're home. You're safe.
J.R.: Thank God that you're alive. How did you get here? Where have you been?
Babe: Here, in the tunnels.
Adam: In the tunnels? What are you -- what are you saying?
Colby: You're my brother?
Babe: Yes, he's your brother, and you're a liar.
Adam: What in blazes are you talking about?
Babe: Enough with the games, Colby. Time to tell the truth.
Kendall: I don't want Ryan. I want to protect him as a friend.
Annie: And as Spike's dad and as --
Kendall: Is that what this is about? Is that you're shopping around for a new daddy for Emma? You're doing the whole single-mom thing, and you see me and Ryan together with our son, and you're thinking the only thing that's missing from this picture is that I'm in it, and you're not.
Annie: Ryan's the best. He's gotten me through a lot of rough stuff. He's laughed with me, he -- he pours a mean shot. But I'm not in love with him. Even if I was ready to jump back on the -- on the love wagon, I certainly wouldn't go after a guy who's totally hooked on another woman.
Kendall: Why not? Hasn't stopped anyone else from helping themselves.
Zach: You should go, get a front-row seat before the courtroom fills up.
Ryan: No, first, I'm going to answer your question. I'm not really sure why you need my permission here, but I guess if you get out of this mess, Kendall wants you back, you know, that's her call.
Zach: Great. Settled. Now --
Zach: Why are you here?
Ryan: I'm here, because you have Kendall walking around on hot coals for you. She's living your alibi for you and for Dixie, all right? She's hoping that you're innocent, because you say so. Unfortunately, she's afraid that you're guilty, because of all the evidence, so she's hanging on by a breath here, Zach. The very last thing that she needs is Dixie in her face.
Zach: I've been in a jail cell. I've been a little bit out of the loop, so what happened?
Ryan: Just tell Dixie not to pull any more stunts like she did last night, ok, Zach? Kendall has been nothing but loyal to you.
Kendall: Zach's little girlfriend has done everything she can to steal him from me. I was in a coma, completely helpless. That didn't stop her, and now she's still working it.
Annie: I'm not Dixie Martin.
Kendall: Right, but you come across as sweet, kind, and gentle. Those are all the traits that little Dixie had that made her Pine Valleyís patron saint, and if she can turn into a little bitch and go after Zach, anyone could.
Annie: Ok, here's the problem -- I have eyes. I see the way Ryan feels about you every time you're in a room together. He loves you, he loves Spike, and if there's any way the three -- three of you could be a real family, I would be the first one to congratulate you.
Kendall: Ok, well, before you throw a party, I'm still married to Zach.
Annie: Yeah, and see, that's something that I can't quite figure out. I mean, maybe I am overly sensitive to dangerous husbands and all, but if Zach really tortured and killed that doctor, how can you want him living under the same roof as your son?
Kendall: Zach would never hurt Spike or me or anyone else. Where the hell do you get off? You don't even know him. You're just like everyone else -- you go from zero to guilty.
Annie: You still love your husband, don't you? I -- I was really hoping you would decide that your future was with Ryan. I'm sorry.
Ryan: Kendall has put everything into protecting you, Zach. Why don't you return the favor?
Zach: What the hell did Dixie do to her?
Ryan: Just put a leash on her, Zach.
Zach: What's going on with Ryan?
Dixie: It's nothing. I was trying to help you. Maybe I miscalculated a little bit. Anyway, it's over.
Zach: No, it's not.
Adam: How could you do this? Do you realize what you put us through? I thought you were dead. I'd been out with the Coast Guard, dragging the ocean for your dead body. I ought to turn you over my knee.
Colby: See? This is why I hid. I knew you'd get mad.
Krystal: Somebody needs a time-out until 2099.
Colby: I'm so sorry, Dad. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I was so happy that night -- you were so great to me -- and then everything just spun out of control.
J.R.: Who was doing the spinning?
Colby: I wrecked the boat, my friends got hurt, and the police were after me. Dad, it was just too much. I was too afraid to show my face.
Adam: Well, did you plan to stay walled up like an Edgar Allan Poe victim for the rest of your life?
Colby: Just till I ran away.
Adam: You were going to run? And I thought you were dead?
Colby: I was going to call you once I got far enough away. I didn't know what to do, Daddy. You yelled at me on the phone and said that you were grounding me for the rest of my life. That was before I sank the boat. I just figured you didn't want me anymore. You didn't love me.
Adam: Of course, I love you! Why do you think I'm so damned angry about this?
Colby: Dad, I'm sorry about the boat, everything. I didn't know I was drunk.
Colby: They said it was lemonade and the next thing you knew -- kablooie.
Adam: Sweetheart, listen to me. You don't have to be afraid anymore. I will take care of everything. I said that I would protect you for the rest of your life, and I will. You don't have to be afraid. Now, I'm going to go call your mom, hmm, give her the good news -- that you are ok.
Krystal: Welcome home.
J.R.: That's one hell of a performance. The lemonade bit -- definitely pushing it.
Colby: Iím just a beginner. Your wife's award-winning.
J.R.: Can't you be alive for five minutes without tearing into my wife?
Colby: Don't you want to know why Josh was here? J.R., I heard everything inside of that tunnel. Babe told her mom that she and Josh hooked up.
J.R.: It's not possible.
Colby: I'm sorry, I thought you should know. But how could Babe do this to you?
J.R.: No, Colby, how could you do it? How could you trash my wife after everything you just put us through?
Colby: I'm telling you the truth. Isn't that what everyone wants from me around here?
J.R.: I saw Josh and Babe last night. She fired him, and then she was going to leave with me to come look for you.
Colby: But she didn't come look for me, did she? She slept with Josh.
J.R.: Oh, this is some pretty sick payback. Babe outed you on this stupid amnesia game, now you're trying to slam her.
Colby: No. Josh is the one slamming your wife.
J.R.: Did she try to blackmail you? Just like when you threatened to tell everyone that I buried Madden if I didn't give you 50 grand? You never learn, do you? How much money did she want this time?
Babe: Not money -- silence. She didn't want anyone to know she'd been hiding in the tunnels.
J.R.: This family has been in one crisis after the next. My mother's trial starts today. Dad's been a mess -- you know, he could've had another stroke. You and your games, Colby -- you need to grow the hell up!
Colby: I didn't know about any stroke. How could I? I never even got to live here.
J.R.: I love my wife, and she loves me. If you say one more thing about her, I'll make you regret it.
Josh: What are you working on?
Kendall: The "Christmas gift with purchase" campaign.
Josh: Looks important.
Kendall: Mm-hmm. So, did you blow up Babe and J.R.ís marriage?
Kendall: Because you can't, or because you won't?
Josh: I'm not blowing up anything until I know that Babe lands with me.
Kendall: All right, if Babe isn't smart enough to realize that she needs to dump J.R., then maybe you should just move on from her.
Josh: I'm just getting started.
Kendall: You're crazy.
Josh: I'm optimistic.
Kendall: Yeah, well, you know where optimism got me? Nothing but trouble. Grief and pain and misery and all those other horrible things that go with it. So I'm -- I'm just going to get rid of feelings. Forget about feelings, I'm going to be smart now. I'm going to be an adult.
Josh: Hmm. Well, if you're done playing with your dollies, the trial starts soon, and you probably shouldn't go alone. Why don't you let me take you.
Kendall: Do you actually think I'm going? What, do you think I'm crazy?
Zach: Let's hear it. What happened?
Dixie: I went by Kendallís house, because I think she's cheating on you. I think you trust her too much, and I thought that if you had some proof --
Zach: You spied on her? How'd you do that? Crawled under a bed and wait for the action to start?
Dixie: She said she didn't want you anymore, that's what she said.
Zach: What did you say?
Dixie: Nothing but the truth.
Zach: What did you say?
Dixie: Listen, let me ask you a question -- where is Kendall right now? Is she here? Is she comforting you? Is she supporting you? No.
Dixie: Look, you can believe in Kendallís loyalty all you want, but when I left that place, Ryan was still there. And from where I was standing, he wasn't going anywhere.
Annie: Start hopping. Oh, you're getting really good at this! Good girl!
Ryan: Hey. Wow, I could use some of that energy.
Annie: Mm-hmm. After hiding from Terry for so long, being cooped up all those hours, I have to practically drag Emma inside. She would sleep outside if she could. Wow!
Ryan: Oh, good job.
Annie: One more, one more!
Ryan: All right. Can you do it again?
Annie: Can you do it one more time?
Ryan: Let's see.
Annie: Good girl.
Ryan: Hey, now that you've -- well, now that Terry's gone, I guess, do you ever think about finding Emmaís biological father?
David: So? Find anything?
David: Hmm. What a surprise -- a clueless PI.
Tad: Ok, that's enough, Hayward. Get out of my house. Come on, leave.
David: Fine. Thanks for the snack -- and for your help.
Tad: What's that supposed to mean?
David: I tell you what -- I'll send you an e-mail someday. I'll explain everything.
Tad: Hayward, this really annoying habit you have of talking in circles about absolutely nothing -- do you even know what you're saying?
David: Someday soon, I'm going to know it all.
Kendall: Zach has made it very clear how he feels about me, and the feeling is mutual. I'm done with him.
Josh: Mm-hmm. Because you're smart now, you're an adult.
Kendall: Where are you going? Are you a pain junkie?
Josh: No, I owe it to Greg. He may not have been my biological father, he may have been a freak, but he did raise me. It's my last obligation to him. It's the last chapter for both of us.
Kendall: Well, I hope so.
Josh: Well, listen, the trial might be able to help you, too. It might actually give you a chance to see Zach Slater for who he really is.
Kendall: I know who Zach is.
Zach: I know Kendall better than you ever will. I know her heart, and I know what she's capable of. Stop spying on her.
Dixie: Do you realize that you are defending a woman who doesn't trust you, who doesn't believe in you?
Zach: Stop explaining my wife to me. What I need from you is to stay away from her. Do you understand me?
Dixie: When I came back to town, I was hated. I was despised and judged -- until I met you. And you were the only person here who didn't judge me. You helped me without asking for anything in return. You are a good, kind, honorable man. And I'm sorry, ok? I know what I did was wrong. But it is very difficult to watch you break your heart over Kendall over and over again.
Zach: Well, you can't stop that, no matter what you do.
Kendall: There is no way I'm going to sit in that courtroom and have my heart stomped on all over again. I've done that before, and I completely draw the line at public humiliation. If you want to go and get some sort of closure, I understand. I got mine right between the eyes last time I saw my husband. I don't need to see Zach ever again.
Ryan: You know what? Never mind, none of my business.
Annie: Why do you ask about Emmaís father?
Ryan: Uh -- just -- I guess --
Annie: Now I'm hooked. What?
Ryan: I don't know, I just -- you know, what if he's a -- he's a guy that you'd like to have in Emmaís life, that's all. Look, if you choose to look for him, just know that I would do whatever I can to help you out, that's all.
Annie: You've already gone way beyond.
Ryan: No, I just -- I just wanted to put it out there.
Annie: Because of Spike? Because you love being his dad?
Ryan: Yeah, he -- uh -- he changed everything. You know, he changed everything in the best possible way. I can't imagine my life without him. Hey, let me ask you something. Does this guy even know that he's a father?
[Oblivious that heís Emmaís father, Tad picks up his keys and leaves his house.]
J.R.: You've had it in for Babe ever since we caught you trying to rip us off.
Colby: That is not true.
J.R.: You know, I said it before, and I'll say it again, because obviously death has killed some of those brain cells. You can't con Babe, and you can't con me, so stop trying.
Colby: You both suck!
J.R.: I'm sorry that she laid into you like that.
Babe: She's alive. That's all that matters.
J.R.: Don't let her get to you. I love you. I trust you with my life.
Josh: This is your last chance. Are you sure you don't want to come?
Kendall: I'm positive.
Josh: You're still in love with him. You're still his wife.
Kendall: Zach told me to go to Ryan. Does that sound like a man who still wants his wife by his side? Zach doesn't care if I'm there or not. I choose not.

Annie: Emma's father has no idea she exists.
Ryan: Really? Well, I mean, we could -- we could track him down. We could do it in a way that he would have no idea we're checking him out, and -- and then you could decide whether or not you'd want to tell him about Emma -- or not, your choice.
Annie: I'm not sure I could do that, or should -- at least not now. Maybe someday.

Zach (to Ryan): Take your good-luck speech and stuff it!
Bailiff: The state calls Thaddeus James Martin.
