Kendall: Hello. Is Ryan here?
Guard: He just came in --
[A gunshot rings out and Ryan falls.]
Annie: Oh, God, no!
Jamal: What was that?
Annie: Oh, no!
Jamal: What happened?
Annie: Oh, God!
Kendall: Ryan! My God. Oh, my God, Ryan. Ryan, it's me. Ryan, Ryan, it's me! What the hell have you done?
Colby: Uh -- hey, have you seen Sean?
Girl: No, sorry. Wait -- is this your party? It's flippin' awesome!
Girl: Go, go, go!
Sean: Ok. Don't move.
Jack: Lily? Lily, it's Dad. Can you hear me? Lily! Lily? Lily!
Jack: Lily -- Lily, is that you?
Jonathan: She's not here. She's been here.
Terry: That's it. No need to freak out, is there, Lily? You told me you wanted to be an adult, and this is what adults do. You want to be an adult. Don't you, Lily? Don't you?
Kendall: Ryan, are you ok? Are you ok, Ryan? Are you -- are you ok?
Jamal: Here, don't move him.
Kendall: It's Kendall, it's Kendall.
Kendall: You're going to be fine.
Annie: Oh, my God, I am so sorry, Ryan. I didn't know!
Kendall: It's ok. It's ok.
Emma: Mommy, Mommy!
Kendall: I'm here, I'm here. You're going to be fine. You're going to be fine, ok?
Kendall: Listen -- you're going to be fine. I'm here for you. You're going to be just fine.
Guard: There's been an accident, 450 Old Cedar Lane. Hurry -- get an ambulance here now!
Ryan: No, no ambulance -- no!
Kendall: Yes, yes! You need an ambulance, you've been shot. You're going to the hospital.
Ryan: I can't put Annie in danger.
Annie: Oh, stop it. It doesn't matter. Just tell the ambulance to hurry. Oh, my God, Ryan, I'm so sorry. I thought you were him. I thought you were him!
Jonathan: I found these in front of the tree.
Jack: Sean gave these to Lily to wear to the party.
Jonathan: Jack? Jack, we have to find her.
Jack: No, what you have to do is get the hell out of here. Just get out of here.
Jonathan: You don't understand.
Jack: No, I just want you to get out of here, Jonathan. Just get away!
Jonathan: Jackson, it's Terry! It's Terry. He's here, and he may have Lily already!
Terry: Oh, Lily. Sweet, sweet.
Jack: Lily was just fine until your lies crushed her. Now, you stay away from her, do you hear me? You are no longer a part of her life. I will find her, and I will find her without your help!
Jonathan: I'm not doing this. We have to find Lily. She needs our help, Jack.
Jonathan: Lily? Lily? What -- what are you doing, Lily?
Lily: Look, Jonathan. I found a new favorite number. It's 142,857. And then when you add it to itself, you get 285,714. See, the numbers rotate around their decimal places, and keeps happening. And if you add the result to 142,857, then you get 428,571, and then 571,428 -- see, 1, 4, 2, and 8 all lined up. And then if you keep doing it a couple of more times, you get 999,999.
Jonathan: Wow -- wow. I'm -- that's really -- that's great, Lily. But have -- have you been working on it for a long time?
Lily: Yes. It's definitely my new favorite number.
Adam: Any word on Colby?
Krystal: Nothing yet from the harbormaster.
Adam: How could the most expensive party in the world make me want to put my daughter in a nunnery for the rest of her natural life?
Krystal: You did not just say "nunnery." Come on. Do they still even have those things?
Adam: They call them convents now, but I'm making some calls.
Krystal: Ohh. She'll be ok.
Adam: I want a boat. I want the fastest boat I can get. I want to go after them myself.
Krystal: Oh, well, by the time you hire some boat and put on your skipper's hat, the patrol will have already brought them back in. Come on, have some patience.
Adam: "Patience?" That's a virtue I do not possess. What the -- what the hell is she trying to prove?
Krystal: She's being a kid, ok? A very badly behaved, ungrateful, self-absorbed kid, but still a kid.
Adam: She had been drinking. Oh, hell, she was drunk -- I could tell by talking to her.
Krystal: Oh, Lord.
Adam: No, no, no, no, no. Come on, say -- say it, woman.
Krystal: Well, as I recall, that's exactly how we ended up getting married.
Colby: Hey, when you're done playing with the little girls, come into the wheelhouse and see what a woman has to offer.
Sean: Guys, give me a minute, ok?
Colby: Took you long enough.
Sean: Got here as fast as I could. So, what did you have in mind?
Colby: A little birthday surprise. Ever do it on a boat?
Kendall: Ryan, it's ok. Ryan, it's ok. I'm here.
Paramedic: Gunshot wound to the upper right lateral chest. Respirations normal at 20.
Jeff: That's good. It missed his lungs.
Julia: Ryan, we're going to take good care of you. We will.
Paramedic: His BP is 130/80, his pulse is 100.
Kendall: What do you need? What do you need, honey? Anything, anything. What do you need? What do you need?
Ryan: Annie? Don't worry, Annie. This was my fault.
Kendall: It's ok.
Jeff: Ryan, just relax and let us do our job, all right?
Jeff: He's lost some blood. How do you feel, Ryan? Are you a little woozy?
Jeff: We're going to fix that. Now, let me look at your wound.
David: Dr. Martin, I'm standing by if thoracic surgery is needed.
Jeff: My first thought is the bullet missed his heart. Might have nicked a few blood vessels, though.
David: Not a problem. I'm here.
Jeff: Ok, he looks stable. Let's get him in for an X-ray.
Jamal: Hey, come on. Why don't we sit down and wait.
Annie: I'm not going anywhere.
Jeff: And get him ready for intensive care. Ok, let's go!
Kendall: I'm going with him.
Julia: You can't. Wait here. I'll find you when I know.
Kendall: What the hell did you do? You shot him, you stupid --
Jamal: Kendall, you don't know everything.
Kendall: I know enough. I know the father of my child is here, because you pointed a gun at him and pulled the trigger. Did I miss anything? No, I don't think so.
Lt. Perry: Well, that takes care of the preliminaries. Now I need the details.
Sean: You ok with this?
Colby: This is your lucky night, mister. You scored the boat, you scored the booze, and now you get to score me.
Sean: As long as you're sure.
Colby: You got the coverage?
Sean: I got it covered. I was a Boy Scout, always prepared.
Colby: I don't think you get a badge for this. Huh.
Adam: Honey, she's out of control. She's defying me.
Krystal: And this behavior surprises you? Please. Have you been living with the same teenager I have?
Adam: Well, I spent more money on this party than most people spend on their homes. Huh. And so -- and what happens? She gets drunk with a bunch of boys on a stolen yacht.
Krystal: Well, the yacht was a step out of the ordinary, but then again, so is all this.
Adam: I hadn't seen my daughter in years. I thought -- I just wanted to make her happy. And this is how she thanks me.
Krystal: Well, yeah. Most kids repay you by swiping your car and sneaking out to meet some boyfriend. Not this little girl. Of course, she is a Chandler, after all.
Adam: Well, what's that supposed to mean?
Krystal: Well, come on. All kids her age rebel, and she just does it on a Chandler scale. Oh, I remember when Babe was a teenager.
Krystal: She went out drinking under the overpass on old Route 4 with a bunch of kids she should not have been hanging out with. She came home at 4:00 in the morning.
Krystal: When she came stumbling in losing her cookies all over my new shoes --
Krystal: Then she had the gall to tell me that the bottle she was holding was just water -- please. She was stupid, but she learned. I can only imagine what kind of trouble she'd have gotten into if she had your cash to burn.
Adam: And how did you deal with this misbehavior?
Krystal: Oh, that was a good one. That same morning about 7:00, knowing that she would have a raging hangover, I go and I wake her up. I was all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I started vacuuming, you know, hammering, doing some work around the house. I got that girl's butt out of bed, and I made her do that trailer from top to bottom, cleaning fumes and all. She -- she was not a happy camper, but she didn't do again.
Adam: Oh. Well, if Colby likes being a Chandler so much, let's see how she reacts to the punishment a Chandler way.
Krystal: Yeah. Well, I think it's going to be pretty tough to wipe that grin of satisfaction off of her face.
Adam: Yeah, well, let's see how much she likes boarding school --
Adam: And just how much Sean Montgomery likes prison.
Krystal: Have you ever thought that maybe she was just trying to get your attention?
Sean: Ow, sorry.
[Sean and Colby laugh]
Colby: Are you ok?
Sean: That was awesome. You were great. Wow. Never expected that to happen.
Colby: Never do. Huh.
Sean: Happy birthday.
Colby: Yep. Happy birthday to me.
Sean: You sure you're ok?
Colby: Oh, hello? I'm -- I'm better than ok.
Sean: Hey, let's go get a drink.
Colby: Yeah. Just give me a second, ok? I'll be right there.
Sean: Whatever you need.
Jamal: Ryan was right. Don't say a word. I left a message for my mom. She'll represent you.
Lt. Perry: Certainly there's some basic information we can get through before Ms. Cudahy arrives. Ahem.
Annie: I'm not sure. Honey, every-- everything's fine. Why don't you go play with Jamal, ok? Mommy's fine.
Lt. Perry: Ma'am, accident or not, every gunshot wound has to be reported, information filed, so let's start with the easy stuff. Your name?
Kendall: Her name is Annie McDermott.
Lt. Perry: At least somebody's talking around here.
David: I'd be happy to take care of the little girl while you guys sort this thing out.
Julia: It's ok, David. I can watch her.
Annie: Where -- where are you taking her?
Julia: Oh, just -- just up around the corner. Hey, you're the asthmatic that came in a little while ago, aren't you?
Annie: Just -- just take good care of her.
Julia: I will. Come on, let's go on up.
Kendall: Julia? How's Ryan?
Julia: Well, they'll let you know more. Come on, let's go on upstairs, huh?
Lt. Perry: Ok, now that we have the babysitting taken care of, I have some more questions.
Jamal: Yeah, well, she's not talking. Annie, wait till my mom gets back to me.
Lt. Perry: You know, this isn't coming off like a standard accidental gunshot, people warning each other to keep quiet and attorneys called. Mrs. Slater, can you clue us in?
Annie: I thought Ryan was my ex-husband.
Jamal: Annie, stop. Don't do this.
Annie: I have to. Ryan is my friend.
Kendall: What do you do to your enemies?
Annie: It was an accident. Ryan has done so much for me and my daughter, but when he came in the door, I didn't even see that it was Ryan. I thought that it was my ex-husband.
Lt. Perry: And why exactly did you want to shoot your ex-husband?
Jamal: Ok, Annie, you've gone far enough.
Annie: I wanted to shoot him, because you people let him go! My ex-husband is a monster. He preys on young girls. And now that -- that freak is out there because of the law, because you're not doing anything to stop him! Do you have children, Lieutenant? Or you, detective, either of you? How would you like it if a judge, unthinking, just threw your child into the hands of somebody you know would hurt them? How would you feel about that? That bastard hurts young girls, and he is after my daughter, and I'll be damned if I ever let him get to her. So I had to stop him. I thought that it was Terry coming through that door, not Ryan! So I fired.
Annie: If you don't believe me, ask Jackson Montgomery. My ex-husband attacked his daughter, as well. And he's still after Lily Montgomery. Terry won't stop until he has my daughter and Jack’s daughter and yours and yours!
Jack: Lily -- honey, are you all right? Lily, did he hurt you? Lily, talk to me. Please, honey, talk to me. Lily. Honey --
Jonathan: Is he dead?
Jack: Yeah, he's dead.
Jonathan: I don't know if I made it in time. I -- I walked in and he was -- he was standing over her, smiling. And I -- I killed him, Jack.
Jack: I need an ambulance. My daughter's been attacked.
Annie: I can't let him do it again. I can't let Terry go after another girl.
Jamal: Listen -- hey, we'll find him, Annie. Just try to relax. My mother should be here soon, and you've said enough for now.
Annie: Well, I couldn't keep quiet any longer. Then he wins. I -- I can't let him win.
Kendall: Hey, you. How's Ryan?
Jeff: He's lucky. We were able to take the bullet out. It doesn't appear to have hit any organs.
Annie: He's ok?
Jeff: Well, we're going to keep an eye on him for a while to make sure there's no internal bleeding. Just a dressing and some antibiotics, and I think he's going to be fine.
Kendall: Can I see him?
Jeff: Don't stay long. He's still weak.
Julia: Oh. Oh. Can you hear my heart there? All right, what about if you put it here? Oh, there you go. What's my heart saying? I think it's saying "I want ice cream. I want ice cream."
David: Julia, I need you to see if Lavery's out of X-ray and get his films for me.
Julia: You have legs.
David: Yes, I do have legs. And I also have nurses. Get his blood work for me, as well. I might have to assist.
Julia: I'm not going to leave Emma.
David: You don't have to worry about Emma while you're gone. I can take care of her. It's not like I haven't been around kids.
Julia: Get it yourself, David.
David: You see this badge? It says "Dr. Hayward." Where's your MD? Blood work, X-ray, now.
Julia: I'll be right back, ok?
David: Hello, Emma. Do you like lollipops, sweetheart?
Kendall: Hey, you.
Ryan: Where's Annie?
Kendall: She's outside. Jamal's with her.
Ryan: Oh. Good.
Kendall: You scared the hell out of me.
Ryan: Not my intention.
Kendall: You're the one I depend on these days. Who else is going to help me change Spike's diaper? Or try to calm me down when I freak out when he's sleeping?
Ryan: Huh. You do just fine. Ahem.
Kendall: What about me? Who else is going to calm me down when I freak out during this trial?
Kendall: Who else could play my lover? Spike needs you. I need you.
Ryan: Since when have you needed anybody?
Kendall: I didn't really realize how much I did. I thought we'd lost you.
Ryan: There's no way you're getting rid of me.
Kendall: Thank you.
Ryan: For what?
Kendall: For being the father of my child.
Adam: You accused me of going overboard with this party and that I was spoiling her. And now I'm still the bad guy. You're defending her.
Krystal: Whoa, wait. Slow down there. I am not defending Jack Squat. I'm simply pointing out that Colby isn't all that different from any other 16-year-old, so just don't overreact in the other direction.
Adam: I'm not overreacting. No, no, if I had gone onboard that yacht and dragged her out and locked her in her room until she was 35, that would be overreacting.
Krystal: Ok. So what is sending Colby away to boarding school going to get you?
Adam: A good night's sleep.
Krystal: You know, maybe this is all going to turn out for the best. Because maybe now Colby will realize that there actually is a line, and she better not cross it again.
David: So your mommy and daddy never told you where you came from, huh? No? Well, I think I know where you came from. I think a very special stork delivered you.
David: Hmm. Look what I have. This ordinary lollipop -- cherry, I think. So, this could be yours. But I have something else. This extra special -- give it only to good little girls -- one-of-a-kind flavored invisible lollipop. Have you ever had an invisible lollipop? No? Well, they happen to be my favorite. So, would you like both of them? Hmm? All right, first, what I'm going to need you to do is test this one, ok? See if you can get the invisible flavor out. All right? Here, take it. What you have to do is put it inside your mouth, ok? Go ahead, put it in your mouth. Taste good. See what the flavor is. It's very good. Hmm. You don't like that, huh? Oh, I'm sorry. That's too bad, because it's a really good one. But maybe the flavor's invisible, too. Ok? So -- all right, put this -- this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to give you this one right now. If I can get off the plastic here. Here. Ok? This one you'll like. Go ahead, try it. Mmm. Very good, huh? Excellent. That's better, isn't it? You like that one better? Keep it.
Julia: The files you requested, sir.
David: Thank you, Julia. I have everything I need.
Julia: I am so sorry I had to go away. Oh, what did you get, a lollipop? Oh.
Kendall: Looks like Ryan’s going to be ok.
Annie: Oh, thank God. I'm so sorry. Really, you have no idea.
Kendall: I think I actually might. Oh, great. Aren't there enough cops here today? Excuse me. Derek -- Derek, listen to me. This whole thing is just an accident, ok? This poor woman has been through enough. Can you just file some stupid police report and be done with it?
Derek: One thing at a time, Kendall. I'm here because Lily Montgomery’s on her way in.
Kendall: Lily? Is she ok? Was there an accident?
Derek: She's been attacked.
Krystal: I love you, sweetheart. It'll be ok. I know you just want the best for your kids.
Adam: That's all I ever wanted.
Krystal: You know, if I had your kind of money when Babe was 16, I would have gone hog-wild myself. You have a big heart. I know you try to hide it underneath all that smoke-blowing, but it is in there. And they can call you many things, but they can never accuse you of not loving your children.
Adam: It was all so much easier when they were Little Adam’s age.
Krystal: Yeah. Before they learned to talk back?
Krystal: Oh, God. It's so tough to be a parent these days. I'm not sure I could do it again.
Krystal: Everything has to be bigger and better and the coolest, the most expensive. Now you know why I wasn't exactly jumping in the sack when you wanted to get me pregnant.
Adam: Any word?
Man: They've spotted the yacht. They should be on the way to pick them up right now.
Adam: They found them.
Man: This is the harbor patrol. Prepare to be boarded. We're going to take you back to the marina.
Man: This is the harbor patrol. Prepare to be boarded. We're going to take you back to the marina.
Sean: Party's over, guys.
Sean: They still call them 5-O if you're on a boat?
Sean: We're busted, Colby. Time to go home and face the grounding. Damn good time while it lasted, though. We should pull something like this again.
Colby: It's too late now.
Sean: What are you talking about?
Sean: Whoa. Col -- what the heck are you doing? Colby, that's the harbor patrol! We're not going to get away!
Colby: No! I don't care! It's too late now! Why go back? We've done crazy things all right. We can't go back now.
Paramedic: We have a possible victim of --
Jeff: We got it.
Paramedic: Vitals are stable. BP 110/76. Pulse is 96.
Jeff: Are these the clothes she was wearing?
Jack: Yeah, she was -- she was wearing this when she left home. Honey, can you hear me? Lily?
Jeff: Hello, Lily, it's Dr. Martin. You're in the hospital now, all right? We're going to take very good care of you. I thought she didn't like being touched.
Jack: She doesn’t. We haven't been able to get any response from her at all. Lily?
Jeff: No visible signs of head or body trauma. No reaction to verbal stimuli. Move her into Gyn. I'll call security.
Derek: Don't worry, Dr. Martin. I'm here.
Jeff: Who's the safe person on call tonight? We're going to need a rape kit.
Julia: Oh, no. Not Lily.
Kendall: No. No.
Annie: Oh, God. He's done it. He's done it! Where is he? Where is that SOB?
Jonathan: He's -- he's not going to hurt anyone anymore.
[The paramedics wheel in Terry’s body then lift the sheet over his face.]
Emma: Mommy! Mommy!
Annie: Honey -- honey, it's ok. Oh, it's ok. Face me. It's ok, sweetheart. Everything's fine. Everything's going to be fine from now on.
Jamal: Come here.
[After Jamal picks up Emma, a grateful Annie hugs Jonathan.]
Derek: You'd better come down to the station and tell me what happened.
[Kendall holds Ryan’s hand and cries.]
[Sean and Colby wrestle for control of the boat’s wheel.]
Sean: You can't do this!
Colby: It's too late now!
Sean: Colby, look out!
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Annie (to Derek): You can't do this. You can't take my little girl away from me.
Jack (to Lily): I should have taken better care of you. This never should have happened. That man should never have gotten anywhere near you.
Jonathan (to Derek): You need to run a test to see if Lily was raped.
Zach (to Kendall): Ask me anything you want to know. I'll tell you everything right now.
