Ryan: Babe, where's Kendall?
Babe: As if I care.
Ryan: This is serious. I need to find her.
Babe: And I wish I could tell you where to look. The second I got off the elevator, she bolted.
Ryan: And you have no idea where?
Babe: You know, I'm sure she's around here somewhere making somebody's life miserable.
Kendall: Mmm, yeah. Ok. Zach, how much longer?
Zach: It's hard to say.
Kendall: Well, I need to know there's an end in sight, because Tad’s stupid eyewitness is going to blow your alibi to bits.
Zach: I' beat these murder charges.
Kendall: Ok. The minute that you do, this ridiculous phony affair with Dixie is finally going to end. And I know you say that we're going to get through this, but I'm so --
Zach: I love you, Mrs. Slater. I'm not going anywhere.
Dixie: Hey. What the hell?
Di: Do you keep stuff in the safe? If you do, just go ahead and start getting it out right now.
Del: Why don't you start handing me things from the closet.
Dixie: What are you guys doing?
Di: Ugh. We're saving your life.
Del: You're this close to wearing a prison jumpsuit, Dix. We got to get you out of town fast.
Dixie: No, no, no, no, no. I am out on bail. I'm facing a trial. I can't go anywhere.
Di: Dixie, you can't stand trial. You're not going to get off. You're going to go to jail.
Dixie: No, Zach and I have an alibi. We have reasonable doubt. There's no way a jury is going to convict us.
Di: I'm so sorry, Dixie. Something's happened. It changes everything.
Del: The cops found an eyewitness to Madden’s abduction.
Dixie: Well, who?
Di: Tad is going to testify against you.
Tad: J.R.? Dixie and Slater weren't getting it on in some sleazy motel room the night that Madden disappeared.
J.R.: Yeah, I know. They were in the middle of some park getting their dig on, weren't they?
Tad: No. First they had to stop off at the airport to dump his body into the trunk of your mother's car.
J.R.: This is a joke, Tad. You have no proof.
Tad: I saw it. I saw it with my own eyes. And I d the same stupid look on my face when I started to put two and two together. I had the same crappy feeling in my gut when I realized I might have to testify against your mother.
J.R.: No. No, there's no way that I'm going to let you slit my mother's throat in court. I'll bury you myself before I let that happen.
Jamie: You think I'm going to go any easier on you, guess again.
Kendall: Oh, yeah.
Kendall: Whoever said that absence makes the heart grow fonder -- he really knew his stuff.
Zach: Sextus Propertius.
Kendall: Who? What?
Zach: Sextus Propertius. He's a Latin poet -- dead. Longtime dead, but he -- he said it.
Kendall: Ok. How do you know?
Zach: I know things. I'm smart.
Zach: Plus his name was Sextus -- how do you forget that?
Kendall: That's true. Well, I got to say, old Sextus really nailed it.
Zach: Probably did, yeah.
Kendall: Oh. Ok, here's the problem, Zach. The problem is that all of this absence is making me love you so much more and it's -- it's becoming impossible to put up this whole "I hate you" front.
Zach: As long as it's just a front.
Kendall: Of course, it is. Just tell me again that this is all going to be over soon.
Zach: I'll do whatever I can to be home as soon as I can with you and spike. Does he ask for me, ask for his stepdad at all?
Kendall: Yes. Of course, he does. He -- he misses you. I mean, who else is going to teach him the rules of hockey?
Zach: Damn right. Well, just tell him I'll be home with Stanley Cup tickets.
Kendall: Ok. It's a good thing I have no idea when that is. The only thing that's getting me through this is knowing that you'll be home soon. And the only way I can keep up all this lying and freaking out in public and putting up these fronts are knowing that you're coming home to me.
Zach: Well, keep telling yourself that. Then you'll be in my arms for the rest of your life.
Kendall: Hmm, assuming that Tad doesn't screw everything up.
Tad: J.R., do you really think I enjoy the fact that I caught them dumping the body that night?
Jamie: No one's forcing you to go public with this, Dad.
Tad: That's where you're wrong.
J.R.: You hate the fact that my mother hooked up with Slater. Now, no one's jumping up and down for joy over that hookup, but don't make up lies to get her thrown into prison!
Tad: I'm not. I wouldn’t.
Jamie: Even if you think you saw Dixie and Slater with a body, how can you use it against her like this, ruin her life, ruin J.R.’s life?
Tad: I would never do anything to hurt you or your brother.
J.R.: Yeah, we're not going to let you. You're not going to get the chance.
Tad: Unfortunately, it's a little too late for that. That's why I called you both over here, because I wanted to explain --
J.R.: No, I don't want to hear your lies! It's just a bunch of garbage.
Tad: You've got to listen, J.R. I'm sorry, it's the way it happened. That night, I went to the airport to look for Madden. When I couldn't find him, I went back to the parking lot and that's when I saw them dumping something that looked like a body into the trunk of Dixie’s car.
J.R.: "Something that looked like a body." You're hanging my mother on something that looked like a body.
Jamie: Shut up and let him finish.
Tad: All right, just -- I tried to trail them through traffic. I lost them, ok? So I drove around for a while until I found Dixie’s car at the park, and then I waited and waited and waited. When they finally came out, I tailed them back to the casino. After they went inside, I checked the trunk. It was empty.
Jamie: Maybe you saw wrong.
J.R.: Look, I don't care what you saw. You're not going to tell another living soul.
Tad: I don't have to. Derek's got it all on tape.
Jamie: You went to the cops?
Tad: I didn't go -- I didn't go to anybody. He came to me. He bugged my house. I was having a fight with Slater. He heard the whole thing.
J.R.: This is just great.
Tad: J.R., I hate this as much as you do. And as angry as I am at your mother, you can't think I would want to send her to prison for the rest of her life.
J.R.: I think that's exactly what you want to do.
Dixie: I know Tad despises me, but I never thought he'd do anything so extreme.
Di: Well, you know what? You're not going to have to worry about Tad when you're in another country. Now, take a look around. Make sure you're not forgetting anything critical.
Dixie: Di, I can't run. I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't kill Greg Madden.
Di: Maybe not. But right now, Tad seems to have tunnel vision -- crush Dixie. Now, if you -- if you stay in Pine Valley, he might get his wish.
Dixie: I just -- oh. I guess he's never going to forgive me for keeping him from his daughter.
Del: Actually, Dix, I think it was the little fling with Slater at pushed him past the edge.
Di: Ok, Del, you're not helping.
Dixie: I just didn't think he'd go this far, to -- to lie just to get revenge?
Di: Dixie, lies or not, Tad is going to tell a jury that he saw you with Greg Madden’s body. Now, let's save the talking and analyzing and trying to figure out why Tad all of a sudden turned ugly for another time. Right now, you have to do the only thing you can to save yourself -- you have to run.
Ryan: What is this? You guys lost your minds?
Kendall: Ok, Ryan -- relax, Ryan, chill out.
Ryan: You want to chill out? We're all putting ourselves out there so you and Dixie don't go to jail and you pull something stupid like this. What --
Kendall: Listen, list. Ryan, there's no one here, ok? No one's around, no one can see us.
Ryan: Uh-huh. Wow. I mean, I just spent the night with you because Derek has one of his men staked outside your condo, Kendall. This is a little bit more out in the open than inside your condo.
Zach: Did he eat my porridge, as well?
Ryan: Wow. You guys think this is funny, huh? Well, I don't think you'd be laughing if somebody else walked out here. You're both very lucky that it was me, one of the few people on your side.
Josh: What's up with the Internet? It's been kicking me off all day.
Babe: I called IS. They're looking into it.
Babe: Hey, you didn't happen to run into Kendall while you were out? Ryan was looking for her.
Josh: Yeah. I saw her.
Babe: Look, Josh, I'm sorry that you're mad at me. I never should've snapped at you the way that I did.
Josh: Whatever, Babe.
Del: That's everything?
Del: That's everything?
Di: I think so. If we've forgotten anything, you'll just have to replace it when you get to wherever you're going.
Dixie: I love you guys, ok? I love you guys for doing this, but I cannot leave town. I cannot leave my family again.
Di: Dixie, we're your family and we're telling you, everyone is going to understand.
Dixie: J.R. will understand? Come on, you more than anybody knows how much he needs me, how long it's taken for him to trust me again. He's going to be devastated if I leave.
Di: Well, J.R.’s going to feel a lot worse if his mother is convicted.
Dixie: And what about Uncle Palmer who set my bail? He believed in me? I can't betray him.
Del: Oh, that old dinosaur can afford to lose the money, huh?
Di: Listen, die, I know. I know you don't want to leave Pine Valley, but really, it's your only choice.
Del: I'm going to get a cab, we're going to get you on the next flight out of here.
Dixie: No, del. No, I am not going any-- I'm not going anywhere.
Di: Yeah, you are. Now, I know you may not see the logic in it right now, Dixie --
Dixie: I can't do this now. I can't do this to Zach.
Di: Zach? Are you serious? You'd risk a life in prison for that man? I did that once, Dixie. I went to prison for a guy. It wasn't worth it, trust me.
Dixie: Zach isn't just some guy, ok?
Dixie: He has been a rock for me ever since I came to town. He's given me a place to stay, a shoulder to lean on. He is a wonderful, kind, good, caring man and probably the only person here who understands me.
Di: Oh, my God. This love affair with Zach -- it's not just an alibi.
Kendall: Ok, Ryan, all right. We're making out on the roof -- bad call. We get that. Next time, we'll be a little more discreet.
Ryan: Next time -- perfect.
Kendall: It was a quick hello, Ryan. You're the one who's turning it into the sin of the century.
Ryan: You know what? You're right. My bad. You don't care about getting caught, then I'm just going to walk right back out the door and let you get back to your little "quick hello," that's fine. You might want to know, though, that your alibi is already hanging by a thread. Tad claims to have seen you and Dixie with a body the night Madden disappeared, and he's going to testify.
Zach: Tad's full of it.
Ryan: Meaning that he didn't see you or meaning that he saw you and misunderstood or --
Zach: Meaning that he didn't see me. He's making the whole thing up. We'll do this again soon, ok?
Zach: Just kidding.
Kendall: Ryan, listen, listen. I -- I know that you were just looking out for me and you were trying to protect me. Sorry. But I really do need your help. We have got to shut Tad up.
Tad: J.R., I don't know what to say. I keep thinking if I'd stopped off at a bar or a restaurant, something, I wouldn't be in a position to destroy your mother's life.
J.R.: Look, if you're making this whole thing up to get even with her for sleeping with Slater --
Jamie: Oh, come on. This is my dad we're talking about, not yours.
Tad: If I wanted to get even with somebody, there are a lot easier ways to do it without hurting either one of you.
Jamie: There's no way Derek will give up the tape? And then that way, you could lie on the stand.
Tad: No, he's not about to give up his hard-won evidence. In any case, if I refuse to cooperate, any DA Worth his salt is going to use my words to convict your mother. I should've known Derek was going to bug my house. I am supposed to be a PI, for God’s sake.
Jamie: You haven't been yourself in weeks. You've been acting really weird. This is why, isn't it?
Tad: What can I say? It was bad enough that Dixie was sleeping with that jackass. When I found out that she'd destroyed my last chance of ever hooking up with Kate, it makes me sick.
J.R.: If all this is true, how come you didn't try to confront them back then, back when Madden w still alive? How come you didn't try to convince my mother to set him free?
Tad: Because I didn't care! As much as I didn't like what she was into, I thought eventually she would be able to help me find Kate. I wanted my daughter back. I thought she was going to be able to give me some kind of hope, to give me some kind of lead. When I realized that hope was dead, it was already too late.
Jamie: Why didn't you tell us?
Tad: I wanted to, on more than one occasion. Then all I had to do was look at your face, to think about what you'd already been through with your mother. Now you're tight with her again, you love her. Whatever she did, I am not going to take your mother away from you all over again. I didn't want to be the one to tell you that she had killed your last lead to your sister.
J.R.: But now here you are, about to tell the whole world.
Tad: I don't exactly have a choice. Derek is threatening me with all kinds of charges.
J.R.: Well, there's still one way out. I can make you disappear.
Babe: Josh, is everything ok?
Josh: You think any part of him is -- is in there maybe a piece of his leg or his brain, or maybe his heart. Do you think he had a heart?
Babe: Josh, don't do this.
Josh: You know, I buried his ashes right here -- reburied him. Have you ever seen human ashes? They're not soft and feathery. They're coarse. But I might be able to tell if I --
Babe: Please, you're scaring me.
Josh: I know who killed him, Babe -- the n who raised me. What do I do?
Dixie: Look, Zach means a lot to me. He's been a wonderful friend.
Di: Ok, I think you've established that, but that's not what I asked you. Dixie, are you and Zach falling for each other?
Del: What's with the suitcase?
Di: She's not going.
Del: The hell she's not -- come on, we've got to hurry before he gets here.
Dixie: Del, I can't leave.
Di: Nice try.
Del: A lot of good it did.
Di: All right. Well, Dixie, let us know what you want us to do.
Dixie: Did you hear? Tad said that he saw us --
Zach: I know. What's going on here -- you don't like your room? Want a bigger room? You going somewhere? What's going on?
Dixie: Well, my brother and sister seemed to have some ideas about my travel plans.
Zach: Mm-hmm. Running's not the answer.
Dixie: I'm open to suggestion.
Zach: Well, I think the first thing we need to do is keep your ex-husband from talking.
Dixie: Well, considering he hates me, I think it's going to be a little difficult to get him to retract that story.
Zach: I guess what I'm saying is if you can't shut him up, I can. I don't know why people don't know about this.
Babe: If you're thinking about going off on J.R. again, save it. He didn't kill Dr. Madden.
Josh: I know. It wasn't J.R.
Babe: You really mean that?
Josh: I wish I didn’t. Greg Madden and I didn't share blood, but he still raised me. He may have been demented, but did he deserve to be tortured and killed that way?
Babe: What happened to him was hideous.
Josh: Yeah, well, a few days ago, I would've said he deserved a lot worse. But if it wasn't for Greg Madden, I wouldn't be here right now. And if I had a way to get some justice, to make someone pay for whoever did that, shouldn't I?
Babe: You're having doubts?
Josh: He did steal her kid, refused to tell her where her little girl was. Maybe I should take it easy on her because of that, feel bad for her, but I don't.
Babe: Are you -- are you saying that Dixie --
Josh: Dixie is a liar. They're all liars. Kendall, Slater, the fights, the jealousy -- they made that up entirely, 100%. They concocted that whole alibi so that -- so that Slater and that demented mother-in-law of yours can get away with torture and murder.
Dixie: So, how are you going to keep Tad from talking?
Zach: Whatever it takes.
Dixie: What does that mean?
Zach: It means I'm not going to let him get away with this.
Dixie: What are you exactly considering doing?
Zach: I didn't start this, Dixie. He drew first blood, and every action has a consequence.
Dixie: What are you talking about? You're not going to hurt him.
Zach: What is it with you? What do you care? The man despises you. Why do you care what happens to him?
Dixie: I don't know. I just do.
Tad: Granted, Dixie’s done some pretty low things in the past few years, but for some unexplainable reason, it still matters to me what happens to her.
J.R.: Good. Then you won't have any problem with me trying to get rid of you.
Jamie: Ease up on the godfather routine.
J.R.: Look, I didn't say I was going to whack him. I mean bounce you out of the country, as in a thousand miles from Dixie and her whole trial.
Tad: That's exactly what I was hoping you'd say. If you let me use the Chandler corporate jet, there'll be no trail for the cops to follow. That's why I called you both over here tonight anyway, because I wanted to say good-bye.
Jamie: Wait a second. How long are you planning to stay away?
Tad: There's no way of knowing. Let's see what happens after Dixie’s trial, see what the atmosphere is like. I might be able to come back after that.
J.R.: You willing to do this? Leave your life and your family, risk being a fugitive, all to spare Mom?
Tad: I'm willing to do it for you. Look, I can't be charged as a fugitive if I haven't been subpoenaed, which means I have to leave Pine Valley tonight.
Dixie: Just try to listen to me, ok? J.R. and Jamie love their father. I could never look them in the eyes again if something happened to Tad because of me.
Zach: Uh-huh. But it's ok for him to cut you off at the knees?
Dixie: I have hurt Tad --
Dixie: Beyond belief. He doesn't deserve any more suffering.
Zach: Ok. I'm sorry, I don't understand. You've apologized about what happened to Kate. You've tried to explain to him what happened to Kate. Nothing justifies what he's doing to you right now.
Dixie: Well, could you try to understand, just think about it a little bit? I actually don't care what it costs me. I can't hurt Tad again.
Tad: No matter what it costs me, I'm not going to hurt Dixie again.
Jamie: Even if it means you may never be able to come back to Pine Valley? If Dixie’s convicted, Derek most likely is going to have a grudge. He could make it impossible for you to ever come back home.
Tad: If I testify, Dixie will be convicted. In the long haul, it doesn't matter what running means for me. I'm not going to be responsible for him taking Dixie away from you again.
Dixie: Look, Zach, I know you know what it's like being robbed of the chance to raise your own child. Now, you may not like me very much because of this, but I did that to Tad. Can't you see that? I robbed him of his rights as a father. I gave our child to strangers instead of back to him to raise? I hurt that man beyond words. I can't live with causing him any more pain. I can't do it. And I understand this isn't just about me. But it would mean so much to me. Please, I beg you, just leave Tad alone.
Kendall: How do we shut Tad’s smarmy, lying mouth?
Ryan: You're asking me?
Kendall: Well, he's your friend -- or he was, for a while. I mean, isn't there something you can think of, some button that we could push to get him to just shut up with this stupid lie?
Ryan: You know what, Kendall? It's not like Tad to outright lie.
Kendall: No -- it's like me. I mean, you got to admit, this is vintage Kendall. If I wanted to get even with the love of my life for taking my child and supposedly sleeping with the person that I hate, I would probably come up with something a lot worse than Tad did. Now, I don't approve, but I get it. I mean, I know that this affair is fake and it's killing me. Tad -- I mean, he's probably completely out of his mind right now.
Ryan: Well, if that's true, then there's nothing I can do to make him take it back.
Kendall: So I'll help you.
Ryan: Kendall, come on. We go over there, we challenge his story, he's just going to kick us out.
Kendall: I think Tad will listen when I tell him that Zach and Dixie’s affair is one big act.
Aidan: And you're sure McDermott’s still in Dublin? And he hasn't chartered any private jets or booked any commercial flights? Good. Good work. All right, keep me posted. Will do. Cheers, mate. All right, bye.
Di: Tad? Where is he? I am going to kill him -- kill him.
Aidan: Well, you can't do that now, Di, because that would be bad for business, wouldn't it?
Di: Oh, this isn't funny, Aidan. No -- no, he is ripping my sister apart. I hope you told him that. I hope you told him what he's doing, making up this stupid story.
Aidan: I haven't seen Tad, so I haven't told him anything.
Di: Well, you know he didn't see my sister stuffing Madden’s body into the trunk of her car. It's all a lie. I mean, you can't let him get away with this.
Aidan: And how do you propose I stop him?
Di: Well, you're his friend, aren't you?
Aidan: Well, you're his ex-fiancée, aren't you?
Di: Low blow.
Aidan: Well, there's nothing I can do that you can't.
Di: Sure, you -- yes, there is. Your fists are way bigger than mine.
Aidan: Well, what do you want me to do? You want me to beat some sense into Tad?
Di: And if that doesn't work, investigate, intimidate -- just prove that Tad is a liar.
Babe: You have no idea how many stories I've heard about what a saint Dixie was. You're saying that she killed your father? She's the one that tortured him? I don't --
Josh: She obviously traded in her halo.
Babe: Well, if this is true, it's going to kill J.R.
Josh: Well, maybe it will. But I'll be able to avenge the brutal death of the man who raised me and get back at him for what he did to me at the ConFusion opening.
Babe: You wouldn't really do that just to get even with my husband?
Josh: Well, it's not the only reason, Babe. Then there's Kendall to consider, my sister. Do I keep my mouth shut out of family loyalty, even though I have no connection with that family whatsoever? Or do I go public and make sure that her husband doesn't get away with murdering the man that gave me life? It's a lot to think about. Maybe that's my answer. Maybe I'm thinking about this way too much I mean, the boom line is a man died here. I should go to the cops with what I heard.
Babe: No, please. Please don’t.
J.R.: Yeah, ok. Well, whatever it's going to cost. All right. The jet will be ready in a half an hour.
Jamie: Are you sure you want to do this, Dad?
Tad: I hate leaving Pine Valley, especially you two. And if I thought there was some other solution, I would --
Krystal: Well, either I walked in on y'all planning a surprise party for me, or you're about to get into a heap of trouble here.
Aidan: Tad is my partner.
Di: Dixie's my sister.
Aidan: Well, he's a good mate.
Di: He's a liar.
Aidan: You don't know that.
Di: Well, you don't know he's not.
Aidan: You're asking me to bully him into changing his story. How do you know his version isn't true?
Di: Aidan, I don't care if it is true. I don't care who buried Madden. I don't care who's lying, I don't care who's telling the truth. All I know is that Tad is ripping my sister to shreds.
Aidan: Oh, you can't put that on Tad.
Di: Yeah, sure I can. Tad has turned into a total creep.
Aidan: Well, he just found out that his ex-wife might've buried a man alive. That kind of thing could have that effect on you.
Di: Why are you defending him?
Aidan: Well, why are you defending her?
Di: Because after everything I've done to Dixie, I owe it to her. Listen, if you're not going to help me stop Tad, then to hell with you. I'll do it myself.
Aidan: Di? Come here. What do you want me to do? Huh?
Di: I want you to find a way to take the heat off my sister. I want you to do whatever it takes, anything -- even if it means proving I killed Madden.
Tad: I'm leaving town for a few days, so I thought I'd come by and just say goodbye to the boys.
Krystal: Where you going?
Tad: Uh -- don't know yet.
Krystal: Did you get a lead on Kate?
Tad: Well, you can't leave any loose ends.
Krystal: Could you be any more ambiguous, Tad? Ok. Fine, I -- I can take a hint. Travel safe.
Tad: Krystal? You make sure Adam treats you right, because he doesn't know how good he has it.
Krystal: Look, I -- I don't know what you're up to, Tad, but I sure hope you know what you're doing.
Tad: Well, I got to pick up some stuff at the house. I better get going.
J.R.: Here, take this with you so you don't have to make any withdrawals from your bank. You know, cops look for that sort of thing.
Tad: Thank you, son.
J.R.: Thank you for doing this for me, for us, for Mom.
J.R.: Hey, Tad? I love you.
Tad: I love you, too. Take care.
Jamie: You be careful.
J.R.: Hey, wait. What should I tell my mother?
Tad: Tell her I'm sorry.
Ryan: Kendall, it's not a good idea to tell Tad about Zach and Dixie’s affair. It's just going to support that they were seen that night with Madden’s body.
Kendall: No. Tad is only sticking to that story because he's jealous. If we let him in on the secret -- that Zach and Dixie, they're not really having an affair -- then no more jealousy. Then Tad can go to the cops, he can tell them this one big, stupid story that he made up, and then maybe he can become Dixie’s hero again.
Ryan: Too big a risk.
Kendall: I thought that you were on our side.
Ryan: Come on, Kendall, I am on your side.
Kendall: Ok, well, my side is Zach’s side. You know what? Forget it. I'll go see Tad myself.
Ryan: No, no, no --
Ryan: No, no, Kendall, you don't want to do that. - It's good. - Terrific.
Aidan: You'd really do that for Dixie? Go to prison in her place?
Di: Well, the police are insisting that someone has to pay for this crime. It might as well be me. I mean, I've been to prison, I know what to expect, and nobody's going to miss me out here -- not in the way that they are going to miss Dixie.
Aidan: Di, I know you feel guilty for stealing Dixie’s life, but doing hard prison time? I mean, it's crazy and it's just damn right out of your mind.
Di: No, I know what I'm doing.
Aidan: Well, I would feel pretty self-conscious making love to you in the visitors' room. I would.
Di: I'm serious, Aidan.
Aidan: Di? I'll help you, ok?
Kendall: I don't like that look on your face.
Ryan: It's nothing.
Kendall: "It's nothing"? Ok, you know, "it's nothing" usually means "it's something and you don't want to know."
Ryan: Just -- just promise me that you're not going to waste your time with Tad, ok?
Kendall: Well, who says I'm wasting my time?
Ryan: It won't matter what you tell him, Kendall. He's not going to change his story.
Kendall: How do you know?
Ryan: Just -- just trust me.
Kendall: No, no, Ryan, no. What aren't you telling me? Come on, come on --
Ryan: Drop it, Kend --
Kendall: No, Ryan, talk. Just please keep talking.
Ryan: Just drop it, Kendall.
Kendall: No, no, I will not drop it, not until you tell me what you know. You are not stepping off of this roof until you tell me why you're so sure Tad won't change his story.
Ryan: Because it's not a story, Kendall. Tad did see them with the body. Zach did it.
Zach: Ok. Believe it or not, this is not about hurting Tad. It's about not hurting us. Hang on a sec. I was there when Derek walked in, told Tad that his whole house was bugged, and Tad went nuts running around, throwing stuff everywhere. So I don't think he had any intention of telling this story to the police. But whatever may or may not be the truth of these philosophical speculations, his story still flies in the face of our alibi, and something has to be done.
Dixie: Then let me be the one to figure out how to keep Tad from -- from talking. I mean, you just don't do anything, ok? But you've done something already, haven't you? Oh, God. Look, just do me a favor. Can you keep --
Zach: You do me a favor. Let me take care of it.
Zach: It's going to be just fine.
Babe: Josh, please don't go to the cops. If you go to Derek and you tell him what you know about Dixie, she'll go to prison.
Josh: Well, she should. She killed a man.
Babe: You'll be killing a man, too. This will kill J.R.
Josh: It's not the same, Babe!
Babe: It is to me! Look, I know that I have no right to ask you this at all, but J.R. has come such a long way. And if Dixie and Zach get convicted, let it be because the cops have done their job. Don't be the reason that J.R.’s world explodes. You say that you care about me. So I am asking you, please do not break my heart like this. Don't hurt J.R.
J.R.: Tad really took a bullet for the family. So why don't I feel relieved?
Jamie: Because Dixie could still go to prison. The cops still have Tad’s eyewitness account on tape.
J.R.: What if they don't?
Jamie: Let's go.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Josh: So is this the moment of truth now, Babe? Him or me? Are we done because of J.R.?
J.R.: Come on, hand it over.
Zach: Boys, I can't do that. It's a major part of the prosecution's case.
Ryan: Zach killed Madden, because I found proof.
