All My Children Transcript Friday 6/16/06

Kendall: I don't know if I can just walk out of here and leave Spike in the hospital.
Zach: When your son is well enough to go home, you have to be well enough to take care of him.
Kendall: Right. Right, I have to think about my baby.
Zach: Mm-hmm. And I have to think about you. It's my job. You know what? The car's waiting. Where do you want to go? Home? VIP suite at the casino? Wherever you'll be more comfortable.
Kendall: Thank you.
Zach: You're welcome. Whenever you want to see Spike, there's a car waiting for you, with me at the wheel. Where do you want to go?
Kendall: I want to go to Fusion. It's time to take Babe down.
Babe: Hello, ladies. You working hard or hardly working?
Erin: Oh, definitely working hard.
Simone: Have we got a surprise for you.
Babe: Ooh, good. Did the new eye shadows come back from R&D?
Danielle: It's a whole new fall campaign.
Simone: And we think that this is going to absolutely kill in our new demo group.
Babe: Sweet. Let's take a look.
Simone: Mm-hmm. Ta-da.
[With a flourish, Simone uncovers a large poster featuring Babe’s picture with “Get away with murder!“ above it and “If our lipstick doesn’t kill you, she will!“ below it.
Tad: Mrs. Seacombe, I -- I don't know how many different ways I can say it. I will be glad to look into your case as soon as I'm finished the one I'm working on. Very high priority. It involves a missing child. Yes, higher priority than you. Fine. No, no, that's -- that's fine. You are perfectly entitled to look for another sucker to spy on your cheating husband.
Erica: Tad, Jeff is here, and he's threatening to tell Josh that he's our son. Joe won't lift a finger to silence him. You have to do it. You have to speak to Jeff. Please, Tad, Jeff will listen to you.
Tad: Erica, when's the last time anybody ever told you no?
Jamie: I'm sorry -- you want to say that again to my face?
Josh: Like it didn't happen, Martin. You can't hide it. You were born in what, Keefer’s sophomore year? How does that make you feel, Keefer?
Julia: Shut up.
Jeff: Hey, hey, hey. Since you've all decided to be unprofessional and duke it out publicly in the hospital, help me pick sides. What's the problem?
Josh: It was nothing, Dr. Martin.
Julia: It won't happen again.
Jamie: Yeah, it was just some personal junk. It's over now.
Jeff: No, it's not over. Especially when arguments go unsettled as patients are being brought in.
Jamie: Well, I was just telling Dr. Madden here if he wants to continue to spread gossip about people's personal lives, I will return the favor by telling the truth about his father.
J.R.: Hey, what's so important that I had to rush all the way over here?
Dixie: Oh, well -- thank you for coming. Do you want -- do you want to sit down? How are you holding up?
J.R.: You didn't come to ask me about my state of mind. What do you really want to know?
Kendall: I'm not going to let Babe play around with my company from 9:00 to 5:00 and then go home and play with J.R. like nothing happened.
Zach: Maybe you should rest. Going after Babe right now is probably not the best thing.
Kendall: No, I can't rest. I can't rest, and I can't look at Babe without wanting to kill her. My baby is not coming home with me today because of J.R., and Babe let that slide.
Zach: Just leave that to me, ok?
Kendall: Good. That's more like it. Now, I take care of Babe, and you can take care of J.R. Let's go.
Zach: You sure you want to go backwards, Kendall?
Kendall: What the hell did you just say to me?
Simone: Now, this is only the beginning.
Babe: Well, as brilliant a merchandising idea as that may be, it goes against the basic Fusion concept. Besides, the copy font sucks. Do it over.
Simone: Oh --
Danielle: No, she didn't just say my font sucks.
Simone: May I ask what the Fusion concept is? I mean, I'm interested in hearing it from a woman that's only been here a few months as to what our concept is supposed to be.
Babe: Hmm, I would love to fill you in. You see, Fusion was founded on the dreams of women who thought that they could do better by women, instead of these mega corporations run by men. For instance, let's check this out. Oh. Look at you girls here. Together, beautiful, successful -- it's what every woman wants. So Fusion is a tribute to what can happen when women work together.
Simone: Some women can and do work together.
Babe: How about I spell this one out for you, Ms. Simone? It would be going backward if we were to do a print ad campaign with only one of us. It would be like it was her own personal triumph. You get that?
Simone: Hmm. No.
Danielle: Kitty wants some milk?
Babe: Oh, no, no. Cattiness has nothing to do with this. This is business, right? Isn't that what this is supposed to be about? Of course, we could take a little look in your strappy-sandal-filled closet and find a few things that would make you the new face of a tabloid ad campaign, but who has time for that, right? So, do we quit wasting time, or do we trash that and get back to work?
Simone: Well, I think we should wait until Kendall comes and get her opinion. I mean, after all, she's the one that your husband almost killed.
Erin: And her baby is still fighting for his life in the hospital.
Kendall: How can I just ignore the people who hurt my baby?
Zach: You feel better. You're thinking about the future. That's good. You know what I think about? I think about you in the hospital bed --
Kendall: Ok, well, who put me there?
Zach: Fighting for your life.
Kendall: Well, it's time to fight for my son's life.
Zach: Ok, why can't you listen to the doctors? They want you to rest and not do everything at once.
Kendall: I can't just sit around and do nothing while J.R. and Babe are walking around scot-free. I -- I have to work. I can't just sit at home and look at the clock and wait for Spike to come home. Now, are you going to take care of J.R. or not?
Zach: I know who the bad guys are, Kendall. And they'll be here today, tomorrow, and the day after. Right now, you got to focus on yourself. See all this? It's what love looks like and sounds like. Get used to it.
J.R.: Look, I'm not a little kid you can play anymore.
Dixie: I didn't say that you were, but I am still your mother. And I wanted to make sure that you understood the incredible gift Babe gave you in court.
J.R.: Oh, I am well aware of the gift my wife gave me.
Dixie: Are you? Do you know the kind of love that went into what she did? I am sure that her stock is going to drop off the chart for standing by you.
J.R.: And she doesn't deserve that. And I'm going to prove it to her and everyone else that I'm worthy of another chance. You know, I used to think that I could do it by myself. That's all I wanted, was to do it by myself. But I got myself into a big mess by trying to do that. It's going to take a lot of work for me to get everyone back, to fix this. But I got to do it. I cannot trash the gift that Babe gave me.
Dixie: Good. I'm proud of you, J.R. Oh --
J.R.: Are you ok?
Dixie: Yeah, I'm fine.
J.R.: No, you're not. Are you going to tell me or are you going to make me guess? You're scared you're not going to get the truth out of Madden.
Josh: My dad has gone MIA and is off-limits, Dr. Martin. Shouldn't you be cleaning some bedpans?
Jeff: Look, if -- if you guys want a career in medicine, you're going to have to learn that our private lives are off-limits.
Julia: Sounds about right to me.
Josh: Well, then maybe you shouldn't parade it around here.
Jeff: Well, you're going to have to try and not be seduced by spreading the dirty little stories that fuel every rumor mill in every hospital.
Jamie: And there's plenty of those around here.
Jeff: Look, I mean, we all have our secrets. Some of them are quite fascinating. But this is a hospital, and it exists for one reason, and that is to save lives and to make people well.
Jamie: Sounds like two reasons, Uncle Jeff. I mean, Dr. Martin.
Jeff: Now, why -- why don't you go do what you're getting paid for?
Josh: Yeah, put in some overtime. You might get some extra credit in Biology class.
Jamie: Save it, Madden.
Julia: Lord, save me from testosterone.
Jeff: Nephew, what have you gotten yourself into?
Jamie: Nothing I can't handle.
Jeff: Well, try and keep the ladies at bay while you're working, huh?
Jamie: Yeah, but it's hard. I -- I try to beat them off with my ID badge, and they just keep on coming.
Jeff: Well, I take it that you don't have much use for the younger Dr. Madden?
Jamie: I would go into it, but my Uncle Jeff Martin just informed me that I should focus on saving lives and making people well, so I think I'm going to do that instead.
Jeff: So you should. You certainly are your father's son.
Jamie: Hmm. That's my dad's worst nightmare.
Tad: Erica, you're just going to have to forgive me. I don't have time to deal with this right now. You're going to have to talk to Jeff yourself.
Erica: Tad, just think about this for a moment, please. Think about what will happen if -- if Jeff walks up to Josh and puts his arm around him and says, "I'm your father."
Erica: Yeah. Well, I mean, certainly Jeff’s ego will be satisfied, but lives will crumble.
Erica: Yes, mine, but also Josh’s. I mean, why can't anybody else see the future but me? It's as clear as day to me.
Tad: Yeah, well, I left my crystal ball in my other pants.
Erica: Oh, that's a nice comment. Tad, I am holding myself back from being a mother. Don't you think I've thought this through?
Tad: Well, that's the problem. Don't you think I've thought it through? You don't understand, Erica. I'm the wrong person to talk to right now about denying my own flesh and blood, considering I have a daughter out there I can't find.
Erica: A daughter? Well, with Dixie?
Tad: Yeah, and you're going to have to forgive me if I don't want to walk up to my brother and say "Forget that you have a son." You and I have been friends a long time, but if you want to know the truth -- if I were Jeff, I would walk up and throw my arm around Josh and tell him the whole story. And then I would give him the biggest hug that anybody has ever seen.
Erica: Tad, you cannot say one word about this to Josh. And neither can Jeff.
Erica: I haven't even told my husband yet. I mean, I haven't told one person in my family.
Tad: If I were you, I would start to think about what I was going to say to Jackson.
Erica: Look, I am terribly sorry about what's going on with -- with you and -- and your daughter.
Tad: Thank you.
Erica: But that's no reason to stand idly by and watch your brother destroy my family. I mean, please, make your brother forget this crazy idea about being a father to Josh and -- and make him see my side of the disaster.
Tad: I can't!
Tad: I can't, Erica. Don't you understand? Don't you understand what this feels like? I'm no good to anybody until I can find my daughter.
Erica: Well, I'm really sorry about that, and I do understand. But my goodness, you could -- you could just give it a moment. Give me some moments --
Erica: I mean, you're not going to work 24/7 on this.
Tad: No. No. Sweetheart, I'm sorry, but every single second that goes by is one more second that I don't have anymore to force Madden to tell me the truth. Where he hid Kate. I'm sorry, I wish -- I wish more than anything I could help you, but I --
[Tad opens door]
Tad: I just can't.
Erica: I see. You're throwing me out. You're as bad as your brother.
Babe: I get that you want J.R. in a jail cell. You all seem to want that. And I can't blame you. The little boy is your nephew.
Erin: Yeah. He is, and he's struggling because of your husband.
Babe: There was a time when I counted on you as one of my few friends around here.
Erin: Babe, I watched my brother by Kendall’s bedside. I watched him in the nursery, dying a little bit because he can't hold that little guy. Now -- and you have been without your son. How did it make you feel?
Babe: Like a piece of my heart was missing.
Erin: Yeah. Well, a piece of Ryan’s heart is in that incubator with his baby.
Babe: I can only imagine.
Erin: And worse, he had to make one of the most difficult decisions anyone could ever have to make -- who lives and who could die? His child or the woman who gave his child life? And your husband was the sole cause of all of that.
Babe: But I cannot change what's already happened.
Erin: No, you can't, and you can't expect people to change their reactions to it.
Babe: You're right. And I'm -- I'm sorry. I'm -- I'm deeply sorry.
Erin: Yeah, I know. I know you are, Babe. But that just makes me wonder how a woman with a heart as big as yours is can possibly defend a man --
Erin: Who's hurt so many people.
Babe: Sometimes I don't even understand it myself.
Erin: It -- it makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes. Has J.R. threatened you? Has he hurt you?
Babe: You think I'm abused?
Kendall: Zach, you were in the nursery with me. What did you see? I mean, what did you really see?
Zach: I saw a little boy fighting to hang in there.
Kendall: Yeah, you're damn right. And the fact that he's alive at all is a miracle.
Zach: He's his mother's son.
Kendall: Great, and what do I show him? I show him that it's ok to go after someone's family? And that actions don't have consequences? You and I both sat there and watched his tiny little body struggle for every breath he takes. Yeah, Spike is a tough little guy, but my God -- well, should he have to fight this hard?
Zach: No, he shouldn’t.
Kendall: When I decided to raise my son, I signed up for all the mommy duties that go with it. And it kills me to see him lying there, and there's nothing I can do to make it better. But there is one thing. There's one thing that I can do, and it's protect him. He needs protection. He didn't ask for this.
Zach: No, he didn’t.
Kendall: He's innocent. He's -- he's just an innocent and brave little kid who's been tortured by a jackass who tried to kill his own wife. You know what justice is? Justice is J.R. having to struggle for every breath in his body. Justice is J.R. feeling all the pain and terror and fear that my son felt because of him. And I'm in a position to take care of this. I can handle Babe. And you're the man who promised to help me, didn't you?
Zach: I did.
Kendall: Ok. Well, then why won't you just help me give J.R. what he deserves? Can you give me one good reason why you shouldn't make him pay?
Zach: Do you really think I'm happy that Junior got away with something?
Kendall: No, of course not.
Zach: When I heard what he did to you, I wanted him dead. I wanted him to pay with his life, blood, broken bones -- whatever.
Kendall: Me, too.
Zach: Ok. And then what? What do we do then? What does it accomplish? Make Spike happy or healthy? What about us? We're supposed to start a family together. You want to drown all that in anger and hate? We want to start our lives together, now.
Kendall: I can't just forget about what they did to my son and my family.
Zach: I had a son. And if I learned anything, it's that the only thing that revenge does is breed more revenge. Now, do you want your son to grow up in that?
Kendall: It's not revenge, Zach, it's justice. It's finding a way to deal with this.
Zach: Ok. I got it. It's your son. It's your choice. I just want you to realize something. When you go ahead on this path of revenge and justice, you're going to have to wake up with it every morning. Not pretty. You're my wife, and I love you. And I will support you in anything you want to do. I just want you to be aware that there is another way, if you can get past all that. A way where the only thing you have to do is love your son.
Kendall: And then -- then J.R. gets to hop off in the sunset happily ever after with Little Adam --
Kendall: And his stupid, skanky little wife? No. I'm sorry. I have paid too much, and Spike has paid too much. Now, I have got to get rid of Babe before I kill her. And I need you to take care of J.R.
Josh: Seriously. Get a room already.
Julia: Hey, Hope -- could you cover for me for about 15 minutes? I have some personal business I need to take care of.
Hope: Sure you do. No problem. Gotcha. Is he your personal business?
Julia: It's my car insurance agent.
Hope: Is he hot?
Julia: Well, if you're into slightly balding sort of senior citizen, sure.
Hope: No, Jamie Martin. He looks like he'd be hot.
Julia: I wouldn't know.
Hope: Come on. I've been trying to get him to look at me for a month already, and he -- nada.
Jamie: I'm sorry, Hope. You're just not my type. And my boyfriend, Jason, really isn't into sharing.
Hope: Gay? Really? Never caught that one.
Jamie: All right, I know. Everybody names their fake boyfriend Jason.
Julia: Damn it.
Jamie: Was it my coming out?
Julia: God, Jamie, what have I done?
Jamie: Last time I checked, nothing. The question is, what would you like to do?
Tad: Don’t. Please, don't, ok? Not one word. I don't want to hear it. Just get out. I don't want your help. I don't need your help.
Di: You know what, Tad? Kate, your daughter, is my niece. Doesn't that give me a little bit of a right to want to help out?
Tad: I'm not sure right now. The only thing I'm sure of is I'm not somebody you want to argue with. So get out. Just go home. I'm fine.
Di: Sure you are.
Tad: All right, then I'm not. I'm definitely not somebody that you want to deal with.
Di: You know what? That's not possible, Tad.
Tad: Trust me. Please, trust me. I'm not the same Tad you lied to about being Dixie, ok? What? What's that -- what is that supposed to mean?
Di: I -- you know what? I can't help it. I am so -- I'm just so angry at Dixie for putting you through this.
Tad: Stop, right there.
Di: Oh --
Tad: No, stop it. You do not have badmouthing rights on Dixie, not in this office.
Di: You've forgiven her?
Tad: I didn't say that. I may never say that. But I am beginning to understand why she didn't tell me the truth.
Dixie: I'm so sorry I dragged you into this whole mess with Kate. You've had enough to deal with.
J.R.: Kate's my sister. She's my family, family that I deserve to see. What do you want? There's plenty of park here.
Zach: I got to talk to your mom, alone.
J.R.: Well, that's not going to happen.
Dixie: Um --
Zach: Not up to you, Junior.
Dixie: You know what, J.R.? I think you should let me talk to Zach, ok? Just for a few minutes.
J.R.: Well, it's your life.
Dixie: Thank you.
Dixie: He's trying.
Zach: No, I'm trying, too. But Kendall’s having a hard time letting it go, and I can't say that I blame her.
Dixie: I understand, ok? I appreciate your position. You love your wife. I love my son.
Zach: Hell of a situation, huh?
Dixie: I feel really bad for getting you involved with this thing with Madden.
Zach: Well, I was involved. He was going after my wife.
Dixie: Yeah, but I didn't help.
Zach: You did help. You told me what he did to Kate. Helped me protect Kendall.
[J.R. spies on Zach and Dixie from behind a gate.]
Dixie: Well, that's hardly enough to repay you for everything that -- I mean, you -- you hid me from everyone, including your wife. You took care of me. You've given me all kinds of help that I didn't deserve or expect.
Zach: You did ask.
Dixie: Oh, man. The day you met me was not a lucky one.
Zach: Come on. You're one of a kind.
Babe: J.R. would never --
Erin: What? He would never try to hurt you? He tried to kill you. Listen, Babe, I have been volunteering a lot of my time at the Miranda Center. And I'm training to become a domestic abuse counselor. And I got to tell you, you're behaving exactly the way these women behave.
Babe: Really? And what is that like?
Erin: Um -- unnatural support and rationalization, denial -- and I don't mean that as an insult. I don't, because plenty of really smart women wind up in this very same situation.
Babe: I'm not in any situation.
Erin: I'm -- I'm trying to let you know that I'm here. This is an offer of protection.
Babe: You know, have you -- have you really lost your mind? Because this isn't your childhood, Erin. I'm not in the Lavery house, and J.R. is not your father, so don't you dare go implying to anyone that he's some kind of battering husband.
Erin: Ok, this is not about me, this is about you. I -- I don't understand how you could have forgiven J.R.
Kendall: Listen to the girl. She's right. Either you're a battered wife, a nasty bitch, or just plain evil. Tell me, Babe, how could you not care that your husband wanted to kill you and almost got your business partner instead?
Danielle: Yeah, where's your pride?
Kendall: Or maybe you were just so relieved you weren't under those cinderblocks, you're downright giddy.
Babe: I am anything but giddy and relieved.
Simone: All right, there's only two sides to this thing, and you are on the wrong one.
Kendall: Yeah, looks like this nice little new ad campaign here is completely true. You are just as guilty as your murderous husband, Babe.
Babe: Look, I know that you find this hard to stomach, but J.R. --
Simone: Oh, please, please. You are not going to give us some excuse for him, are you?
Erin: Yeah. I'm sorry, there just isn't one.
Babe: He wasn't the same person that he was when he did that horrible thing to you, Kendall.
Kendall: Oh. Well, that -- thank God for that. Well, I can sleep a lot better knowing that. What a miraculous healing. That's just great. Maybe J.R. should use some of that miraculous healing on my son. He's still in the hospital.
Zach: This is my battle as much as it is yours. Madden still has to be handled.
Dixie: Well, at least Kendall’s alive, and the baby's safe.
Zach: But how can I fight for Kendall and her baby if I didn't fight for you and yours?
Dixie: How much longer are we going to have to do this?
Zach: Long enough to get the information from the only man who can give it to us.
Singer: I thought that I would do it what I might say I told her I'd be back again
Erica: There are only two ways to get what you want from someone in this life, Jeff. You can either make the person feel better or you can make the person feel worse.
Jeff: A keen observation. Let me guess. I'm supposed to choose better?
Erica: That would be entirely up to you. But my way is, of course, better.
Jeff: And your way is?
Erica: Leave, immediately. Leave my family alone.
Jeff: Erica, what if I told you that my decision has absolutely nothing to do with you?
Erica: Well, I would certainly say that you are lying to yourself -- or to me, or to both of us.
Jeff: Hmm. You haven't changed a bit.
Erica: I'll take that as a compliment.
Jeff: Of course, you will. Anything you do with Josh Madden has consequences that I have to live with, hmm? Try the Eggs Florentine. It's delicious.
Erica: You know I hate spinach.
Jeff: Actually, Erica, I've forgotten more about you that I ever knew. Now, this may come as a shock, but I've been living a totally fulfilled life without ever, ever even thinking of you.
Erica: Well, something about you that I haven't forgotten is your arrogance. So don't get all moral and self-righteous with me. I know what you're going to do. You're going to tell Josh that I went behind your back to terminate that pregnancy, and you're going to paint me as the monster.
Josh: The doctors' lounge is really comfortable.
Hope: Do you ever give up?
Josh: Is it working?
Hope: Ask me again in 10 minutes.
PA Announcer: Dr. Fisher --
PA Announcer: Dr. Fisher --
Jamie: Is this the part where you tell me I'm too good for you?
Julia: That's not it.
Jamie: I really don't see what the big deal is. We hung out, we had some dinner. I don't see that being a cause for a state of the union.
Julia: It's complicated.
Jamie: No, you're making it complicated. It doesn't have to be. The rest is just food for people who have no lives, like Josh Madden.
Julia: Oh, you know he's never going to stop giving us crap.
Jamie: Ok. Well, the way I see it, we got three options. I can continue to date my fake boyfriend, Jason, we could go out and make a big old public denial, or we can not care because we're having fun.
Julia: Nobody in this hospital is ever going to believe you're batting for the other team, Jamie.
Jamie: Well, I'm not going to give them any fake proof, either.
Julia: Jamie, wait.
Tad: Look, I was exactly where you are about Dixie until I started to imagine what it was like to live through her hell. I mean, I've been trying to live with the fact that I have a daughter out there somewhere for what, two weeks? She's been doing it for four years. Now, I know that I am not the same person that I was before I found out what happened to Kate. I'm sure Dixie isn't, either.
Di: Yeah, you know what, though? That still doesn't change the fact that she kept that to herself, Tad. She still let us believe that she was dead for all those years.
Tad: And you let us think she was alive with a different face. You can look at what she did as either selfish or selfless. Right now -- right now, I'm in the middle. Because right now, I understand what it feels like to want to crack Greg Madden’s skull open to find Kate.
Di: Ok. There's no way that I could ever understand what you two are going through.
Tad: Ok. You want to help? You really want to help?
Tad: Here's the trick. I want you to take every single one of these files and cross-reference them. I already have, but I just want to see if I missed any detail about Madden. Ok?
Tad: Thank you.
Kendall: Wow. Thank God J.R. has finally seen the light. Hallelujah. It's great.
Simone: Maybe we could celebrate by doing a couple of shots and, like, smacking each other around.
Kendall: Yeah, yeah. That sounds like fun. You know what? No worries. All is forgiven. Ok.
Babe: So you think forgiveness is for the lame? To err is human, but to forgive is mental? Please, I can see things pretty clearly, too. And you want to know what I see? I see someone who is unwilling to forgive my husband, a guy who was once one of her very best friends, and she knows deep down that he didn't mean to hurt her.
Danielle: But he did hurt her.
Babe: But when precious little Zach cuts the power to half of Pine Valley and changes your life forever, somehow you find a way to forgive him. Your husband caused you to lose your best friend, caused you a whole bunch of pain, and hell, I probably wouldn't even be here right now with my stocks if Zach hadn't caused that blackout.
Simone: Hey, you know what? That was the most romantic thing that I had ever heard.
Babe: How much pain did you go through?
Simone: Oh --
Babe: Ladies, I would love for you to meet your partner, and boss, Mrs. Kendall Hart Slater, queen of the hypocrites.
Kendall: Ok, you shut your mouth.
Babe: Oh, that's all you have, Kendall? You don't have a better comeback than that? Because as far as I can see, you are Zach Slater’s biggest fan. And you got a huge rock on your finger to prove it. You even decided to marry him again, so somewhere along the way, you had to figure out that he wasn't complete trash. So, the angry, mean-spirited, vindictive bitch has different rules for different fools, because you decided to forgive him.
Simone: You know what? That was totally different.
Erin: I'm sorry, Zach never killed anybody.
Babe: True. Very, very true. But correct me if I'm wrong -- did Zach ever serve any prison time for anything that he did? And did he or did he not threaten to shoot people at the hospital? So you take away the boards and the bricks and you substitute a little blackout -- it's pretty much the same thing.
Kendall: You can't compare Zach to J.R.
Babe: Really? Because I just did. You're not the spotless virgin at this prom, sweetheart.
Kendall: Ok, see, Babe, it's about intentions. Your husband tried to kill you. Zach was trying to stop me from doing what he thought was a huge mistake. He was trying to save me.
J.R.: What you don't know about Zach could fill a library, Kendall. Would you like to know what's in the first book?
PA Announcer: Dr. Kravitz, you have a visitor in the main lobby. Dr. Kravitz, a visitor in the main lobby.
Julia: You're right. We can't care what other people say or think.
Jamie: That's what I'm talking about. There's enough drama. We shouldn't have to deal with the made-up kind.
Julia: Yeah, I just don't know. I'm usually so clearheaded when you're not around. Why is that?
Jamie: You tell me. I'm not into telling women what they think.
Julia: Well, it's -- I mean, it's because --
Jamie: Because. Yeah, that's good enough for me.
[Jamie and Julia engage in some heavy kissing.]
Jeff: Erica, I've come to Pine Valley for one reason and one reason only, and that's to make a decision about my son. I have no desire to fight old fights with you or to right old wrongs.
Erica: Can you please, Jeff -- please, do this for me.
Singer: It was the time of summer I had to love her
[Jack arrives and is not pleased to see his wife with her ex-husband.]
Simone: Yeah, who would take the word of a wannabe killer about anything?
Kendall: Get out, J.R., or I'll have you thrown out, both of you.
Babe: You afraid J.R. knows something you don't? Too afraid to find out?
Kendall: J.R. has nothing to say. You're a liar. You have nothing to add to this debate.
J.R.: You don't know the whole story about Zach while you were lying in that hospital bed. Tell me, Kendall, were there times where you didn't know where your husband was?
Kendall: All right, J.R., fill me in. What don't I know about my husband?
Zach: This thing has to be over soon. The clock is ticking, and Madden can't hold out forever.
Dixie: I can't help thinking --
Zach: You have to be stronger now than you've ever been. It's coming to an end. It's going to be ok, I swear to you.
[As Zach holds Dixie’s hand, Tad appears.]
J.R.: If Zach is such a perfect guy, how come he's been hiding my mother for months, and never even told you?
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Jack: Tell me, Jeff, what does my wife want you to do?
Erica (to Jeff): So this is payback time?
Dixie (to Tad): You've been investigating me. Did you find what you were looking for?
Zach (to Kendall): What did J.R. say to you?
