[Erin happily wakes up next to Aidan and basks in his smile.]

Di: Tad -- what are you doing -- I'm hungry!

Tad: [German accent] Ja, this is what they call a conflict of interest.

Di: What --

Tad: Because I also have the hunger, but not for the sandwiches.

[Di laughs as Tad dances her around the room then dips her into a chair.]

Di: Have you lost your mind?

Tad: [Normal voice] No, I lost my heart. [German accent] And I must warn you, I have ways of making you do exactly what I want.

Di: Oh?

Tad: Prepare yourself, liebchen.

Di: What was that?

Tad: [Normal voice] Just the pipes. Don't interrupt when I'm working.

Myrtle: Hi.

[Erica gasps]

[Myrtle laughs]

Erica: Oh --

Myrtle: Hi.

Erica: Myrtle. How are you?

Myrtle: Well, darling, Reggie -- Reggie let me in. He was on his way to a ballgame.

Erica: Uh-huh. Well, did we have plans? Were we meeting together today?

Myrtle: No, no, no, no, no. No, no, actually, I had this sort of -- sort of wild idea that you needed me, so here I am.

Erica: I always need you, Myrtle. But, I mean, if you already had other plans -- it's a beautiful day -- please don't change your plans on my account.

Myrtle: Look, sweetheart, I have not felt like this since Bianca was upset. You know, when that creature was here, when he hurt her, then he was murdered?

Erica: Myrtle, nothing's wrong. Not at all. I'm just busy. I'm just swamped. I have so much work to do.

[Picking up her laptop, Erica opens the International Poison Center website about “Marginotoxicology” and specifically, Agrochemical Poisons.]

Greg: Just a little dizzy, Josh. Don't --

Josh: I need a cardiologist -- now.

Greg: I just -- I haven't eaten. It's -- my blood sugar level is low. I'll be fine.

Josh: Dad, you look terrible. Angina?

Greg: No -- no, I have no pain, just my heart is racing. It's arrhythmia.

David: All right, let me take a look at you. Pale, sweaty. Irregular pulse. Any recent stress?

Greg: No.

David: New medication?

Greg: No.

David: Ok, let's get you into an EKG.

Greg: No -- no --

Joe: Get away from that man, David.

David: It's under control, Joe.

Joe: Now. Let's get him on a gurney.

Greg: I am fine. I can handle this on my --

Doctor: Cube two, stat!

Joe: What the hell do you think you're doing? You are no longer a licensed physician.

Palmer: Well, actually, he is.

Brooke: I brought some real food. I thought maybe you'd like it. A little Chinese? Ok, you know what? It'll keep, so maybe you'll feel like some later.

Jamie: Hey.

Brooke: Hey.

Jamie: You up for a visitor?

Amanda: My mom killed my dad. Is she dead now, too?

Dixie: I wish I never had to go, sweet sunshine.

[In Babe's adjoining hospital room, Dixie visits with Little Adam and eavesdrops on J.R. and Babe.]

J.R.: I'll have Little A packed and ready in no time.

Babe: J.R., wait. Why don't we let him finish his nap, and I can get him ready while you're checking us out. Besides, it gives me more time to do this.

J.R.: What was that for?

Babe: You forgiving Amanda. It's totally huge, and I know how hard it is for you.

J.R.: For you and Little A, I'd do anything -- even be nice.

Babe: So, the 23rd is supposed to be a gorgeous day, and I was thinking maybe we could do half the wedding, half Little A’s birthday party, and we could do it right there on the Chandler grounds, a picnic?

J.R.: It's perfect -- just like you.

Babe: And while we're pressing our luck, I'd like my dad to give me away.

David: I had every right to treat Greg Madden.

Palmer: Yes, it seems that the state board has restored David's medical license.

Joe: They closed the file on him, Palmer. And who in his right mind would petition them to reinstate this man as a doctor?

David: You going to let him talk to me like that?

Palmer: Regardless of your opinion of David, he is a legitimate doctor again.

Joe: Not in my hospital.

Palmer: David is one of the most renowned cardio men in the country.

David: World.

Palmer: Pine Valley Hospital could use a man of his skill, his reputation, and I insist that he be restored to the hospital staff immediately.

Jamie: Your mom's doing ok.

Amanda: She said if I had her locked up, I'd be killing her.

Jamie: You saved her.

Amanda: Did I?

Brooke: I think I'm going to stretch my legs.

Amanda: Ok. You don't have to do this, Jamie -- be here, hold my hand, act like you care.

Jamie: I care how you come out of this. You saved lives.

Amanda: I close my eyes and all I see is my dad's --

Jamie: It's going to take time, Amanda.

Amanda: The blackouts. When I found out it was my mom doing all that stuff, they stopped, no more blackouts. Just when I wish that I could forget everything --

Jamie: What are you doing when you get out of here? No staring at walls at Myrtle's. Come crash with me. We'll work it out together.

Erin: I don't know what I dropped. I think it must've rolled off the bed.

Aidan: Don't worry about it. We'll get it later, yeah? Whoa --

Erin: Hmm. Hmm. Whoo. Oh -- oh, I forgot to say "Good morning."

Aidan: Good morning -- again.

Erin: "Again"? Oh. Yeah. Right. A few hours later. Ok, well, maybe we can, you know, do it again sometime.

Aidan: I hope so.

Erin: Not -- not that we have to. I mean, I'm cool with that if -- so, I mean, it's been great, so, thank you for your hospitality. Um -- I'll -- I'll see you later, then -- or not, or not. We'll talk. Don't worry, I'm not one of those "sit and wait by the phone" kind of girls, so -- um -- I'm just going to go ahead and get dressed to go.

Aidan: Hey, before you go --

Erin: Whoa -- whoo! Oh, my God.

[Erin laughs as Aidan pulls her close and kisses her.]

Tad: Shh, shh, that's weird. Aidan’s on a case.

Di: That didn't sound like the pipes.

Tad: No, it didn't. Stay put.

[Picking up a baseball bat, Tad admonishes Di not to move and goes to investigate the suspicious noise.]

Aidan: Ah. Now, that is a lot better.

[Erin chuckles]

Erin: That is better than better. Have you, by any chance, seen my --

Aidan: What? Talking about this?

Erin: Ah. Yes. Thank you. Hey -- hey. Now, I am going to do the get-dressed-and-go part, and you can do whatever it is that you do in the morning, ok?

Aidan: First off, it's late, and you're not going to leave here without having some food, ok?

Erin: No, no, I don't want to be in the way.

Aidan: You're not going to be in the way. Just stay for a little while, eat something, then you can go home, and I'll give you a call.

Erin: No, you don't have to say that.

Aidan: I'll call you for dinner tonight.

Erin: Tonight?

Aidan: Yeah.

Erin: Yeah?

Aidan: Is that too soon?

Erin: No, no, no, no, that's great! Is this too eager? Oh, God, I'm just going to go before I really mess this all up.

Aidan: There's no such thing as messing everything up, Erin. With me, you can say and do anything that you want. And this is really cute, by the way.

Erin: Oh, so, it's ok if I --

Aidan: Oh, yeah.

[Erin giggles as she and Aidan frolic under the quilt.]

Tad: For God's sake, you worthless hunk of cheese. It's after noon, especially in jolly old England.

Erin: Whoo! Whoo!

Tad: Whoa!

Erin: Oh --

Tad: Whoa, sorry! Sorry!

[Erin chuckles after Tad yanks the quilt off Aidan’s bed and exposes the nude pair of lovers.]

Tad: God, I'm sorry.

Joe: I don't care if he works miracles.

David: You see? Even you have to admit it.

Joe: Have you forgotten what he's done? He's drugged dozens of people --

Palmer: Mm-hmm.

Joe: From his own little concoctions. He's broken every rule in this hospital.

David: Twice. Saved your life, too.

Joe: I mean, he's used the facilities here over and over just to further his own little schemes. Palmer, he's a liability -- financial, ethical, legally! How can you even support an idea like that?

Palmer: I am aware of David's history, but his genius should be put to work.

Joe: "Genius"? Yeah, Palmer, you hate this man. He took advantage of Dixie while she was alive, even after she died. I mean, why are you pushing for this? Is he black -- he's blackmailing you, isn't he?

Palmer: This is purely a business decision.

David: You know, my old office would be perfect.

Joe: Oh. No office, no job, no deal. J.R. -- J.R., now, you're a member of the board. Tell Palmer what you think of the idea of reinstating David as a doctor. It's ridiculous.

J.R.: Well, this place could always use a top cardiologist.

Joe: What?

Palmer: What?

Joe: What's going on here?

David: You're a man of your word, Palmer. So are you, J.R. Dixie would be proud -- of you both.

Palmer: Dixie's spinning in her grave.

David: Maybe yes, maybe no.

Dixie: Ok, I hate to leave, sunshine. I wish I could stay, but I can't. I hope that you remember me. I'll always remember you. If you do, tell your daddy that I love him, ok? Thank you.

[Picking up a little stuffed calf from the baby's crib, Dixie starts to leave but has to duck back into Little Adam’s room when Brooke approaches.]

Brooke: I was visiting Amanda, I brought a little too much food, and I didn't want it to go to waste, so I thought maybe there'd be some takers down here?

Nurse: I'm sure there's some hungry new fathers that would appreciate it.

[Brooke laughs]

Babe: Time to wake up, Little A. We're going home.

[Dixie hides behind the door when Babe enters.]

Jamie: So what do you say? I promise I won't leave my crud laying around.

Amanda: You're a good guy, Jamie, but I'm not going to move back in. I've put enough on you already.

Jamie: You're mad because I played you.

Amanda: I was. But I'm not anymore. Look, I -- I wanted so bad for it to be true, but you can't help the way you feel.

Jamie: Amanda, I -- I never wanted to hurt you.

Amanda: You know, I asked Myrtle once how to be the kind of woman that you could love, but I get it now -- I'm just not.

Jamie: Amanda, we have been friends since we were kids. There's no sense in that changing. If you need one, you give me a call.

Amanda: I will.

Brooke: I'll see you later. Amanda, is it ok if I come in for --

Amanda: Yeah.

Brooke: So did you have a nice chat with Jamie?

Amanda: You don't have to worry about Jamie. I'm not going after him anymore.

Brooke: Honey, I'm not worried about Jamie. I'm worried about you.

Myrtle: Erica, you are up to something. I can see it, I can feel it, and you're -- you're jumpy -- you're jumpy as I've ever seen you. Now, listen, I -- I know you better than anyone except your mother. I am really going to search and find out what the devil is going on. I don't care whether you like it or whether you don't.

Erica: Well, Myrtle, I like it. I love it, and I love you. But, honestly, there is nothing at all for you to be concerned about.

Myrtle: Well, I'm not leaving here till I get an answer.

Erica: Well, I certainly miss Jack very much. And I've had to fire my producer. It is taking everything I have to keep "New Beginnings" on track. And now Kendall. Kendall is in absolute knots about her baby. And she's come under the influence of this horrible madman, this -- this Greg Madden, who has no ethics, he has no morals whatsoever, and he has a history of womb-robbing. So God only knows what will happen to this baby if -- if Greg Madden isn't stopped.

Myrtle: Well, whose womb has been robbed now?

Josh: What's the diagnosis?

Doctor: Arrhythmia isn't inconsistent with his age group, but to be on the safe side I'm ordering a cardiac catheterization. Call the cath lab, tell them he's on his way.

Greg: I don't need that. I was a little dizzy. It's over.

Josh: You do. Just shut up and cooperate.

Greg: Is that the doctor speaking or is it my son?

Joe: David lost his license because he was involved in the kidnapping of your child. So how can you possibly support his reinstatement?

J.R.: I've let all of that go.

Joe: Are you sure he hasn't dosed you with one of his drugs?

David: You're outvoted, Joe. If Palmer and J.R. support me, I'm sure the rest of the board will back them. So about my office?

Joe: That's not going to happen. The board recommends, but I make the decisions, and I won't compromise the integrity of my staff.

J.R.: Well, you did that when you hired that TV-star wannabe, Josh Madden -- the one who drugged Erica? Did he put that on his resume?

Joe: I won't explain or apologize for my decisions on staffing this hospital. And this conversation is over. Get out.

Palmer: Joe, you will hire David or you will no longer be chief of staff.

[Aidan whistles]

Aidan: What are you smiling at?

Tad: Same thing you are, baby.

Di: You guys have been --

[Phone rings]

Di: Up there all day long.

Erin: No! No.

Tad: Ahem.

Erin: Oh, my God, yeah.

Aidan: Otto Swanson?

Tad: Ah -- don't mean to cramp your style, but we did set up a meeting.

Aidan: Uh -- I think I left the file upstairs. I'll go and look for it.

Tad: Oh, no. No, no. By all means, I'll -- I'll help you. I'm sure it's a mess up there. One thing -- there's no more naked bodies --

Erin: Get out!

Di: Oh -- so what's gotten into you?

Erin: Do you have to ask like that?

Di: Like what?

Erin: Oh. Oh, I've -- I've never met anyone like him, you know? I've never done anything like this. Um -- I feel light and happy. I feel really, really happy and just really, really scared.

Di: Oh, is it -- it's brand-new with Aidan?

Erin: It's brand-new with everything. Do you think that it's possible that the first guy that you ever fall for can be the one that you spend the rest of your life with?

Di: Uh -- well, whatever I had with Tad I've -- I've never had with any other man, but I didn't need a long line of jerks to know it.

Erin: So you're serious about him, huh?

Di: Yeah. This is the first time I've ever thought that love could last.

Babe: It looks like mama cow is missing one of her baby cows. You know where it could be? Do you?

Little Adam: Yeah!

Babe: Where is it -- oh, your jacket fell down. Oops. Do you think it could've wandered off to another pasture? No, we will make sure that that mama gets her baby back, and we won't leave until we do.

Little Adam: Baby back.

Babe: The baby back. You ready to go home, baby? This was a nice place. Even though Daddy made it extra special --

Little Adam: This cow's crying.

Babe: The cow is crying because he misses his baby? That's what's wrong, right?

Little Adam: Yeah.

Babe: I can't believe my big boy is almost 2. You come here! I cannot believe it -- 2? Oh, goodness. Do you know what Mama and Daddy are going to get you for your birthday? We are going to get you a family, and I am going to be with you every day, and I am going to -- I'm going to kiss you for breakfast, and I am going to tickle you for lunch, and I'm going to gobble you up for dinner. That's what I'm going to do.

[Little Adam laughs]

[Babe laughs]

Babe: And we're never going to be apart again. And I know that Dixie may not be able to hug and kiss you, but all the magic that she's made -- it's like she's right here with us. Isn't it?

Joe: You would have my job for protecting the hospital from this disgrace to the medical profession?

Palmer: You can resign, save us the trouble of firing you.

J.R.: And take that Josh Madden with you.

Joe: No, I won't do that. I won't abandon my staff. I'm going to stay on, and I'll keep you in line. Someone has to do that.

David: That's the spirit.

Joe: That's the spirit.

David: So, how about a "congratulations"?

Erin: Mmm. This was delicious. Thank you, guys, so much. I didn't realize that I was so hungry.

Tad: Burn a lot of calories when you're up there rolling around.

Di: Ok. All right.

Tad: Sorry. Bring a sack lunch next time.

Erin: Ok. I will. Thank you.

[Tad babbles]

Erin: I really -- I do have to go now.

Tad: Oh, yes, you're the bum I parked behind.

Erin: Mm-hmm, I am.

Tad: Don't go anywhere.

Di: Wouldn't dream of it.

Aidan: Your purse. Jacket. See you tonight?

Erin: Mmm. I'll wait for your call. God, I always wanted to say that. Bye.

Erin: Ryan says that you tell it like it is.

Tad: Yeah, I try to.

Erin: Mm-hmm. Tell me Aidan is everything that I think he is.

Tad: What do you think he is?

Erin: Gorgeous, funny, smart, sweet, brave -- he's perfect.

Tad: Now you understand why I want to marry him.

[Erin laughs]

Erin: Just tell me that I am not crazy. I really -- I really have found the world's most perfect man, right?

Tad: No, he's not perfect, he's just perfect for you. You're not crazy at all. Do you feel ok?

Erin: I've never felt more ok in my entire life.

Tad: Cool.

Erica: Greg Madden is actually pressuring Kendall to -- to give her baby up for adoption -- a baby that he broke all ethical bounds to create.

Myrtle: Sweetheart, that is not exactly womb-robbing.

Erica: Myrtle, Kendall is pregnant with a baby whose entire future Greg Madden wants to control. He has wormed his way into her trust, into her life. I mean, I have begged Kendall to find another doctor. This man cannot be trusted. But she won't listen. She just refuses to do what needs to be done.

Myrtle: Well, darling, it sounds to me as if you've decided this man is the devil.

Erica: But Kendall has made up her mind.

Myrtle: Well, honey, what are you going to do? Sip lemonade and accept whatever Kendall decides she wants to do?

Erica: Well, do you have any suggestions?

Myrtle: Well, the lemonade is very nice, of course -- a little tart -- but, you know, I really would love it if you would trust me enough to share a crust that will give me some idea of what the hell is going on.

Erica: Myrtle, I trust you, and I trust you most of all, and I love you.

Myrtle: Oh, yes, yes. Well, soft-soap me all you like, but, listen, darling, my feelings are real, and I am worried. I am very worried, and I'm going to stay being very worried, whether you like it or whether you don't.

Erica: Oh, Myrtle. I know you're just trying to protect me. Believe me, I know exactly how you feel.

Greg: Thank you for helping me, for thinking my life was worth saving.

Josh: I'm a doctor, I'm sworn to save lives.

Greg: You know, if I was delirious, I'd think perhaps you still love me.

Josh: I got to go check on your test results.

Palmer: Blackmail. We were trapped after the explosion, and I had an angina attack, and he refused to give me my nitro pills -- unless I agreed to go along with this travesty. He made me swear in your dear mother's name.

J.R.: You are slime.

David: And a healer. Boy, it's good to be back.

Palmer: Well, we're even, Hayward. Now, would you do me a favor and stay the -- out of my way?

J.R.: I can't believe you. You blackmailed an old man having chest pains? Same old Hayward.

David: Yeah, well, you're certainly new. I mean, trying to be the bright and shiny J.R. Mommy always wanted. What's with that?

J.R.: Get out of my face.

David: You know, it's interesting. It's almost as if Mommy has come down from heaven and is sitting on your shoulder. Is that it, J.R.? Is Dixie whispering in your ear?

[Dixie still hides behind the door.]

Babe: I guess your daddy must be tangled up in paperwork. We'll get ready to go --

Little Adam: Where's Daddy?

Babe: Where is he? Look at all these cows.

Jamie: Need some help packing up?

Little Adam: Go night-night, cow.

Babe: Go night-night, cow. I guess you can hold a cow. Oh -- I'm sorry. A lot's happened since that night, hasn't it?

Jamie: Are you really in love with J.R. again?

Babe: It's no trick. No game. God help me, I am. I'm -- I'm really glad he asked you to be his best man. Are you going to say yes?

Jamie: I haven't decided that yet. Maybe you should take some more time, too.

Di: Well, we haven't spoken privately a whole lot since you spied on me. Remember, out on the Chandlers' terrace?

Aidan: Yeah. You know, I really didn't like you much back then. Tad was inside out trying to find the truth -- were you Dixie, weren't you Dixie? -- And he really hoped that it would be true.

Di: Yeah, you know what? I really regret that every single day, ok? But, Aidan, I really think I can make Tad happy. And I -- I won't let him down again, so if you -- if you're thinking that I should stay out of his way or --

Aidan: Hey, down, girl, all right? Relax. I mean, Tad's stomach was in knots back then. But I haven't seen him this happy in a long time, and that's all you.

Di: Oh. Well, I mean, it's not all me.

[Di laughs]

Di: I mean, it isn't every day that a guy can find a girl who can actually correct his bowling slice.

Aidan: Well, that's not the only thing you corrected. I'm -- I'm really glad for you and Tad.

Amanda: Why would you care about me?

Brooke: You're Trevor's daughter. He was a good man, he was a friend, and he loved you very much.

Amanda: But I'm more like my mom.

Brooke: How would you know? You've spent so much of your life doing, you know, what your mother expected and, you know, trying to make her happy and doing what she wanted, and now it's your turn to live your own life and do what makes you happy, Amanda.

Amanda: The whole reason I left home -- to be my own person. Now I don't know who that is.

Brooke: I remember one Halloween, you were little. You were maybe 5, and you had on four layers of costumes, because you wanted to be so many people. And there is plenty of choice for you, and if you let me, I would like to help you.

Amanda: How?

Babe: I know exactly who J.R. is and what he's capable of, but I'm no longer that dizzy girl on the pier. And I've thought long and hard about what I want and what it could cost me. I want a family. I want a life with J.R.

Jamie: Well, if anybody can make that happen, it's you.

Babe: Jamie -- thank you for not suspecting the worst of me when Little Adam and I disappeared.

Jamie: You really don't have a problem with me being J.R.’s best man?

Babe: You kidding? It -- it's great. It's going to be the beginning of a whole new extended Chandler clan. And I want Little A to hang out with his Uncle Jamie on a regular basis. My little boy will never know that this family was anything but happy.

J.R.: See, I'm trying really hard not to hate you.

David: I don't care one way or the other.

J.R.: I gave Babe my word so that you'd come to the wedding and give her away, but don't push me.

David: Now, where's the fun in that?

J.R.: If I were you, I'd be polite and just shut up. Because if I go off on you, we both lose.

David: So mature, so sensitive -- I'm impressed.

J.R.: Do you think Babe would like to know that you almost let a man die just to get your job back?

David: Are you going to tell her?

J.R.: I promised Babe that I would drop the grudges, but I don't roll over, not for anyone. Now, if you want some more trouble, I'm up for it. And if you'd like to start a new tab with me, I'll make you pay.

Erica: Is Dr. Madden there? Oh, no, no message. Is he on duty today? Oh, I see. Well, I'm so sorry to hear that he's not feeling well. But you do expect him back tomorrow? Well, wonderful. Ok, thank you.

[Erica consults her laptop.]

Erica: Ok. So you've suffered your first symptoms. How soon till the next attack?

[While his dad sleeps, Josh keeps vigil by Greg's bed.]

Brooke: I think that you could use some downtime, some peace and quiet. So you could stay with me until you figure out what you want to do.

Amanda: I'd like that. Thank you. Could you help me do something else? I want to see my mom.

Aidan: All right, then. I will catch you later. Are we still on for a rematch?

Di: Absolutely.

Tad: Call me.

[Tad laughs]

Tad: Whoo! What the hell was that?

Di: I think it was love.

Tad: Seems to be a lot of that in the air these days.

Di: I -- I don't smell anything.

Tad: That's very funny. You're killing me.

Di: Funny, funny, funny.

Tad: [German accent] So, enough with the distractions, hmm? We have work to do.

Di: Mm-hmm.

Tad: Where exactly were we?

Di: I think we were over here.

Tad: [Normal voice] Ow. Careful. That hurt. Oh, you better kiss and make it better, I swear.

J.R.: What's going on?

Jamie: Just your best man checking on the bride-to-be.

J.R.: That's great. That's great news, best man. Makes me really happy.

Babe: Isn't this great, Little A? We're going to be one great, big, happy Chandler family -- just the way we're supposed to be. What's that? Oh, ok. Little A said to tell you that Dixie will be there, beaming down love and sunshine.

J.R.: You ready to go?

Babe: Like, yesterday. You ready, big boy? We've got a party to plan. Round up your cow. Ready? We're off.

[Little Adam babbles]

Babe: We're off.

J.R.: Let me get that.

[Dressed in her doctor garb, Dixie pockets the stuffed calf and exits wearing a mask. From down the hall, an incredulous David spots her and follows.]

David: Could it really be possible?

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Krystal (to Babe and J.R.): What say if Adam and I renewed our vows during your ceremony?

Babe( to Krystal and Adam): Have you lost your mind?

Lily (to Jonathan): I want to talk about getting married.

Di (to Zach): If anyone finds out that Dixie is alive, Tad and I are done.

David (to Tad): I saw Dixie yesterday.
