Erica: You manipulated Kendall into this act of self-sabotage.
Greg: It was ultimately Kendallís decision to be inseminated with Ryan's sample.
Erica: Oh, as if she could do that all by herself without your help. You could have stopped it, but you didn't. And where was Greenlee in all this? Nowhere.
Greg: Greenlee was desperate for Ryan's child.
Erica: Greenlee was desperate for Ryan's child with her. Greenlee was desperate and vulnerable and grief-stricken. But you didn't treat Kendall and Greenlee as patients. You treated them as lab rats. Another chance for you to be some sick, sadistic God? How many other women's lives have you mangled? How many other women have been victimized by your ego?
Greg: I am an ethical man.
Erica: Oh, no, no, no. There were no ethics involved in this. You were hunting for big game.
Greg: What on earth is that supposed to mean?
Erica: You locked into me before you came to Pine Valley. And I want to know why, Greg. Why have you targeted me?
David: Come on, Jack. Where's the "drinks all around"? It's no secret that you wanted Ryan out of your daughter's life. Well, hey, your prayers are answered. Dreams do come true.
Jack: Well, hey, no father -- no responsible father would want their daughter involved with a man like Lavery.
David: Exactly. I know you'd rather eat dirt and die than welcome Ryan's kid into your family.
Jack: What Madden did to Greenlee and Kendall was unconscionable.
David: Give it up, Jack. Your relief is showing. Go with it. You know something? You ought to thank Madden, and Kendall. They blew Greenlee and Ryan's relationship sky-high. So why don't you leave Greenlee alone, go pop a cork?
Jack: I can't do that, David, because my daughter's heart was shattered to bits.
Greenlee: Did I call for a vote? No.
Ryan: Greenlee, I can't let you go, not now. Not -- not after we're so close to getting back.
Greenlee: One of us never left.
Ryan: Greenlee, I'm -- I'm here now, and I am not going anywhere, and I can see our future. I know you can see it, too. I mean, this whole -- the whole Kendall thing is insane.
Greenlee: This Kendall thing is a baby. A baby boy. It was supposed to be mine -- my child -- to love and raise, to watch grow, and to hold. It was my future, and it's gone.
Ryan: We can make it work, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Between the loving husband who stabbed me in the heart and best friend who stabbed me in the back, my heart is out of business. Forget me. I'm already gone.
Ryan: Like hell you are.
Kendall: Come to view the remains?
Zach: After what you took from your friends and family, I'm surprised you're still standing. And impressed.
Kendall: Don't be. If I collapse in a heap, I'll never get up.
Zach: Oh, yes, you will. You're the champ.
Kendall: No, I'm not. I'm scum of the earth.
Zach: You got to be exhausted. Let me take you home.
Adam: I can't -- I can't move my arms. I can't -- I can't feel my arms.
Krystal: Adam, are you serious?
Adam: I -- I can't move.
Palmer: He's just trying to separate us, because you asked me to consult about his business.
Krystal: Palmer, he is not fooling.
Palmer: Hmm? Oh, no, come on, now. You know, it's my guess he's just had another stroke. Well, hey, a toast. Let's celebrate. Oh, my, well, you might be a wealthy widow by the end of the evening.
Babe: Can't -- I can't breathe.
J.R.: I get it. I take your breath away. You don't have to overdo it.
Babe: Not a joke --
J.R.: Oh, wait, a fakey breath, same thing -- you swoon, I catch you, I carry you up to the boudoir?
Babe: I can't --
J.R.: Oh, sure you can, but it's not going to happen. I already gave you turkey with Little A. Don't push for another sleepover.
Amanda: This is totally not necessary.
Josh: Hey, you agreed to let me help you.
Amanda: I changed my mind. Let's go.
Josh: No, no, no. We're staying. You're still banged up from your little traffic cone invitation.
Amanda: If they call my mom --
Josh: I will throw myself on the phone, all right? Excuse me, can we get some help over here?
Anita: Amanda? What happened?
Josh: I found her in the middle of the street wandering.
Anita: It's gotten to be a habit.
Josh: Mm-hmm. She was disoriented. Didn't know where she was or where she came from.
Amanda: It was a little dizzy spell. No big deal. It's over, I'm fine.
Anita: No, you have a skull fracture. You're not going anywhere until you've been fully checked out.
Amanda: Then let's get it over with.
Anita: The ER's jammed. You're going to have to take a number.
Amanda: How about I come back in the morning? I know who I am, where I am, and how I got here. See? Totally not disoriented.
Josh: So does that mean you remember why you were by the Chandler estate?
J.R.: What's going on? Dad?
Winifred: I heard someone -- Mr. Chandler!
J.R.: Put a pillow under his head!
Krystal: I think he's had a stroke.
J.R.: All right, just relax. Call 911 already. Get a blanket.
Adam: Breathe. My arms --
J.R.: What are you doing?
Krystal: I'm trying. Damn!
Palmer: No, no, no, relax. You relax. There's no reason to panic, really.
Krystal: Palmer, help me!
Palmer: No, no, I know that widowhood can be very, very lonely, but I'm here to help --
J.R.: What's so hard about dialing three numbers?
Krystal: There's something wrong with my hands, J.R. Palmer?
Palmer: Well, mine are busy, I'm sorry.
J.R.: Give me that, give me that. Yeah. Yeah, my dad's having a stroke or something.
Krystal: Hang in there. Hang in there, Adam. And I won't -- I won't blame you for ruining Thanksgiving.
J.R.: 300 River Road. Get an ambulance here as fast --
Krystal: This is more than just the jitters. What is wrong with me?
Palmer: Well, either it's mass hysteria or someone's finally put a curse on Adam.
J.R.: Go to hell, Palmer. It's ok, Dad. Help is on the way.
Adam: Thank you.
Babe: Help --
Palmer: He wasn't -- perhaps next year, we can do it a deux. But for now, it's just adieu. Well, perhaps you'd like to join me, would you --
Krystal: Show yourself out.
Winifred: I'm sorry, Mr. Chandler.
Palmer: You're wasting your time. The man's a goner.
J.R.: What are you still doing here?
Palmer: Protect yourself, Krystal. Protect your -- this house has a pox on it.
Krystal: J.R., I can't do --
Palmer: What next? Locusts? Boils?
Krystal: It'll be all right, Adam -- oh, God.
Zach: Let's take the back door. You've taken enough flak for one day.
Kendall: If it's any sign of how the baby shower's going to go, I'll pass.
Zach: Not a torch or a pitchfork in sight.
Kendall: What's the catch?
Zach: Why would there be a catch?
Kendall: When I told you that I was Ryan and Greenlee's surrogate, you freaked out. And now, you know that I used my own egg. So where is the yelling and screaming, and "What the hell were you thinking?"
Zach: Let's go home and talk about it.
Kendall: No, I want to talk about it now. Why are you all of a sudden Mr. Feel-good about my baby?
Zach: I'm not really supposed to be here, this being the girl's bathroom. Let's go home, make you feel comfortable --
Kendall: No, I'm not going to go anywhere until you tell me why you're being so nice.
Erica: Stop hiding behind your MD, Greg, and tell me what set off this insane vendetta. What crime could I possibly have committed against you that would even begin to warrant this attack?
Greg: I know it must be almost impossible for a celestial being like yourself to believe this, but certain pockets of this universe do not revolve around you.
Erica: No, you preyed on my daughter Kendall and Greenlee to get to me.
Greg: Oh, what an extraordinary ego you have.
Erica: No, this is between you and me. It's about you and me and -- and our past.
Erica: Your story about how you fell in love with me at a party. And you tried to contact me, and we couldn't connect. Well, I don't buy it. We're connecting now, Greg. Tell me the truth. What did I possibly do to you? Did I snub you at a celebrity gala in public? And you tried to get close to me? What? Did I fire your favorite cousin?
Greg: I'm sure there are certain people in this world who are as petty as that, but I am not one of them.
Erica: Oh, so this is a big-game score you're trying to settle. I did something monumental to you that significantly affected your life that I don't even remember. And so now we have unfinished business?
Greg: Not at all.
Erica: Oh, you're hiding something. And I intend to find out what it is.
David: So, what, you miss out on the wonder years, and now you want to be front and center, hold Greenlee's hand? It's a little late for that, Jack. Greenlee's a big girl now. She doesn't need your Band-Aids or your lollipops.
Jack: David -- David, you're in no position to give parental advice.
David: I think I know Greenlee a hell of a lot better than you do, and I love her just as much. And almost as important, I trust her to do what she needs to do.
Jack: I trust Greenlee. But she has taken hit after hit after hit. First, Ryan convinces her that he's dead. And now the child that Kendall is carrying, supposedly for Greenlee, turns out to be Kendallís child and not Greenlee's. She's very vulnerable right now. I'm sure that Ryan is going to use that to manipulate her. He's probably got her cornered somewhere right now.
David: You see, that shows how little you really know Greenlee. No one corners her -- at least not without a weapon. No, if Greenlee is with Ryan, she needs to deal with Ryan. And she needs you to give her the space and the time to do it.
Greenlee: The last place I want to be is here.
Ryan: You don't have to run, Greenlee. That's not who you are.
Greenlee: You don't know who I am. Not since you died. Everything changed that night. I changed.
Ryan: I do know you, Greenlee. I know your heart.
Greenlee: Tell yourself whatever you want.
Ryan: That night at the boathouse, you remember you and me, the man in the moon. You felt it then, Greenlee. I know you did. And you fought it, and you're --
Greenlee: Don't you get it? The world blew up in my face, again. Every teeny tiny bit of trust I had has been burned out of me. And you know what? I am so glad. It's so much easier. No more hope, no more wondering, no more wishing or dreaming. I'm done.
Ryan: Greenlee, when my world blew up on me, you begged me to trust you, and I couldn't. I was so sure that I was so messed up that I would drag you down with me. I couldn't hold on to the very best thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn't -- I couldn't hold on to you. Please -- please don't let go. You're so much smarter than I was. Please, Greenlee, please let me help you.
Greenlee: You want me to let you help, even when you couldn't let me help you?
Ryan: Yes. Don't make the same mistakes that I made.
Greenlee: So I should hang on to you? The man who threw me away and never looked back? The man who let me grieve over and over again and then just suddenly just popped back into my life?
Ryan: You can't do it alone, Greenlee. You don't have to do it alone.
Greenlee: You're confusing me with someone who would ride a bike over a cliff.
Ryan: You're running. You're running the same way that I ran, Greenlee.
Greenlee: I'm not self-destructive, and I'm a whole lot smarter than I was just a few days ago. Smarter than when I let you rip my heart to pieces. Smarter than when I let Kendall turn my baby dream into a nightmare.
Ryan: Forget Kendall.
Greenlee: Yeah, kind of hard.
Ryan: She's not here.
Greenlee: Like hell she isn't. She's getting ready to birth your baby -- her baby, not mine.
Ryan: This is about you, and it's about me. I am not the man that abandoned you, Greenlee, I'm not. I've grown. I've changed. I have. I know what I want. I know what my heart wants. I don't hope that we can make it. I know that we can make it. If you're afraid -- if you're afraid, then I'm strong enough for both of us, Greenlee. And if you're not sure, then I have no doubt. You don't know what to do, you don't know where to turn, then you can lean on me. Please, Greenlee, I love you more than I have ever loved you. What we have, our love, is a gift. If you need something to trust, if you need something to hold on to, hold on to that. Believe in that. I swear on my love for you that I will never, ever leave you again.
Greenlee: Our love -- a gift. Kendall took my hand and she looked at me with love in her eyes, and she offered your child as a gift. Well, I learned the hard way -- gifts cost.
Kendall: Come on, let's hear it. Everyone else out there wants to sling mud. Why don't you just join the chorus? Just tell me what a terrible, unbelievably cruel person I am. Come on. Come on, Zach, I can take it. I really can. Give me your best shot.
Zach: Has it ever occurred to you that maybe I --
Erica: Oh, Kendall. Thank heavens you're still here. You can leave. Do you mind?
Zach: That's up to my wife.
Kendall: If I tell her to go away, she'll hound me until I give in.
Zach: I'll be in the bar if you need me.
Kendall: You want to go off on me? Yell and scream and say "How could you?" Go ahead. Go for it, slam on me. I can take it.
Erica: Take this -- I love you, Kendall. Unconditionally.
Kendall: You don't -- you don't think I'm a monster, out to get Greenlee?
Erica: Of course not. You acted from your heart. You went extreme, but that's you.
Kendall: Mother, it wasn't crazy. I had to do this. Greenlee told me. She said if she couldn't hold Ryan's baby in her arms, she'd die. Now, I believed her. I mean, we thought Ryan was dead. I really, truly did this for Greenlee.
Erica: I know. I know you did. And I understand how much it meant to you to be able to put Ryan's baby in Greenlee's arms, to make her life right again. But, honey, be honest with me. Was there more to this than wanting to give Greenlee the baby that she was so desperate for? Somewhere in that huge heart of yours, did you need to keep a spark of Ryan's baby, a spark of Ryan, alive in this world?
Ryan: I will do -- I will do anything, anything to regain your trust.
Greenlee: "Anything" is a big word.
Ryan: You name it, consider it done.
Greenlee: I used to believe you were magic.
Ryan: We were magic -- Dynamite Kiddo and the Green Butterfly.
Greenlee: Nothing but fiction and wishful thinking.
Ryan: No, Greenlee, no. Listen, nothing could stop us, and we can have that again, we can. You just have to give me the chance to prove it to you.
Greenlee: I need magic more right now than anything. Do you have any superpower? You got a magic decoder ring up your sleeve or a magic wand to bring back what I've lost?
Ryan: Your trust? Your hope?
Greenlee: My babies, Ryan. The two little babies that I loved, the one that I carried and I dreamed about and I lost and the one that was Kendallís gift to me. I didn't carry that baby, but I loved and I dreamed about it just the same way. How -- you want me to heal? Bring back my babies. Can you do that?
Ryan: No, I can't. I can't. I can't. But what I can do and what I will do -- I will have my vasectomy reversed.
J.R.: Hang on, Dad!
Krystal: You, too, Babe. Come on.
Joe: What do we got?
EMT: Patient has a history of CVA, speech is slurred.
Second EMT: BP's 90/60, respiration's 18 and shallow, pulse is 108.
Joe: Adam, how are you feeling?
Adam: Arms --
Joe: It's all right, it's all right, it's all right. You'll be up and yelling and screaming in no time at all.
J.R.: Well, you'd better, or I'll sue this hospital.
Joe: You keep it up, you'll be escorted out of the hospital.
J.R.: I'm on the board.
Krystal: Oh, hush up, J.R.
EMT: Complaint's respiratory, respirations are 16 and shallow, BP's 126/80.
Second EMT: We started her on albuterol.
Joe: Send samples of body fluids to the lab for tox screening.
J.R.: You think they were poisoned?
Joe: And tell respiratory I want a vent on standby. Get blood gases on both of them and check for gag reflex.
Anita: All right, let's get them in cubes one and two.
J.R.: Come on. Answer me, Joe. You think that they were poisoned.
Joe: It's too early to tell.
J.R.: Then ballpark it.
Joe: Now, has Adam been taking his blood pressure medication?
J.R.: How am I supposed to know that?
Krystal: Every day.
Joe: He has, yeah.
Joe: And Babe -- has she had any recent physical complaints?
Krystal: No, no, other than when she's breathing J.R.ís air.
Joe: Mm-hmm. And you were all together?
Krystal: The longest day of my life.
Joe: Just when did the symptoms begin to appear?
Krystal: Well, Adam started getting a little wonky about an hour after dinner, I think, give or take.
J.R.: And so did Babe. She was complaining about breathing.
Joe: Mm-hmm. Well, they -- they could be reacting to some kind of toxin or a contaminant.
J.R.: Is that it?
J.R.: Winifred could have told me that much.
Joe: What we're going to do is stabilize both of them, we'll do all the tests, and then we'll know where we are. At the moment, Adam is far more compromised than Babe. Now, is there nothing more you can think of that would help us to the cause?
J.R.: Joe, just fix him. I want all the doctors you got on this. I want the best nurses, I want the best team. I want answers and if I don't get them --
Krystal: You'll have to excuse J.R., ok? I mean, he's just a little worried about his --
Joe: I'd like to have you examined, too, ok? Both of you.
Krystal: No, I'm fine, Joe. I will be, ok, as soon as I know what's wrong with Babe and Adam!
J.R.: I bet you think you're real cute, huh? Wack job. You poisoned my family.
Babe: You have to help me.
Anita: We will. Just relax.
Babe: No, no, I -- I need a phone.
Anita: There's going to be plenty of time for that. Now I need you to take deep, regular breaths.
Babe: No, you don't -- you don't understand. My baby -- he had some of the dinner. What if he's sick? I need to know he's ok.
Amanda: I didn't poison anyone. Maybe the Chandlers finally poisoned themselves.
J.R.: Is that why you're here? To see the fallout?
Josh: Why don't you back off.
Amanda: I have a cracked skull thanks to Babe, remember?
J.R.: Thought you already had that. Did Mommy teach you this? Next best thing to a crowbar?
Amanda: I didn't do anything.
J.R.: It wasn't enough for you to attack Babe at The Roadside Bar, was it?
Amanda: It was self-defense.
J.R.: Then you pushed her down the stairs!
Amanda: I told you I was nowhere near those stairs!
J.R.: Then you came in and crashed our dinner. You threatened all of us. Do you realize that my dad is sick? So is Babe. Krystal's got some sort of shakes.
Amanda: You're still standing. Couldn't have been me, because I would have started with you.
J.R.: What'd you do, use rat poison? Insecticide?
Josh: You want to bust on someone? Let's take it outside.
J.R.: Is this your latest sucker? Let me tell you something -- she's expensive and so not worth it, so watch your back. Now, if my dad dies or Babe doesn't make a full recovery, you might as well kiss your sorry, pathetic excuse of a life good-bye.
Amanda: He's always attacking me.
Josh: Listen, doctor gave you the all clear. Want me to give you a ride home?
Amanda: Aren't you afraid to be alone in a car with the psycho poison freak?
Josh: Not as long as you buckle up.
Adam: If you're counting your inheritance, forget it.
Krystal: Oh, God. Even when you can't talk, you're a pain. Joe, can't you do anything? How long is he going to be like this?
J.R.: Screw the tests. I know what happened -- Amanda Dillon poisoned my family. She's here. I want her arrested right now.
Joe: We haven't established that a toxin was involved in the ingestion.
J.R.: Well, what else could it be? She threatened my family, she -- she came in there, I mean, and here we are.
Joe: Without concrete evidence, it's premature to call in the police. What are they going to do?
J.R.: Oh, that's so Martin. Don't worry, Dad. If Amanda Dillon did this, I'll make sure that she does pay.
Krystal: Yeah, and I will hold her down. I -- I got to go check on Babe, ok?
Joe: Listen, she's in no immediate danger. Now I want you to be examined.
Krystal: Joe, I'll be fine.
Joe: Well, "fine" is not the same thing as "stubborn." I want blood drawn, and I want a full tox screen for Mrs. Carey -- I mean Mrs. Chandler, yeah.
Krystal: All right, don't go do anything stupid, Adam, ok? J.R., would you mind sitting here with your daddy? He needs somebody to glare at.
J.R.: I'm not going anywhere.
Anita: BP and pulse are better. Your respirations are less labored.
David: Is she all right?
Anita: You're going to have to wait outside.
David: She's stable, her tests are done. Can I have a few minutes alone with her, please?
Anita: Two minutes, no more.
Babe: Don't I get a say?
David: Are you all right? What happened? Who did this to you? If J.R. did this to you, I swear I will wring his neck.
Babe: I thought we'd been through this. When are you going to get it through your thick head? I don't want anything to do with you, and that goes a hundred times tonight.
David: Babe, I can help. I can make sure that you have --
Babe: No, you can go. The last thing I need is you in my face right now.
David: Yeah, well, you'd better get over it, because I'm not going anywhere until I know you're ok.
Babe: You really want to do this again?
David: You know something? You should stop talking. You don't want to overdo it.
Babe: Last time, David. I am so sick of your brand of Daddy love. It suffocates me. And no matter what I do or say or how nice I ask or how loud I yell, you still go and you do whatever the heck it is you want.
David: Babe, I'm just trying to help.
Babe: No, you're -- you're trying to get rid of your guilt. Look, it's not your fault or mine that you weren't around when I was a little girl. I'm really sick of you trying to rack up your daddy overtime by mucking around in my business. Now, I am a grown woman, and the decisions I make are mine. And the only thing that I want from you is to leave me alone.
Jack: Let me ask you something, Doctor. Do the words "do no harm" mean anything to you at all?
Greg: I have dedicated my life to helping women experience the miracle of motherhood.
Jack: Oh, what you did was completely unethical. You let Greenlee believe that that child was hers. You violated her trust on the most fundamental level! And on what basis, huh? A wink and a handshake with Kendall?
Greg: Kendall's insemination procedure was protected by doctor-patient confidentiality.
Jack: Well, Greenlee was your patient, too. What the hell happened to her rights? Oh, I'm sure you've got yourself covered with all kinds of nice, tight legalese, but that doesn't change the fact that what you did to my daughter was callous and brutal.
Greg: Why is it so difficult for you to understand that what Kendall and I did was for Greenlee?
Jack: Try and slip her someone else's child? You don't see a problem with that?
Greg: When Greenlee came to see me, all she had to live for was the idea of having Ryan's baby. When her embryos were no longer viable, her dreams died. Greenlee would have died, too. A choice had to be made. I wasn't about to subject her to another blow she would not recover from. Kendall and I made a choice. We made the choice to create Ryan's child.
Jack: I see. So you thought this blow would be one that she could recover from, huh?
Greg: Kendall and I have nothing to apologize for.
Jack: Oh. Oh, you hold on to that. You hold on to that arrogance. You're going to need it.
Myrtle: So, Kendall got sliced instead of the turkey. Shouldn't you be holding her hand, drying her tears?
Zach: Yeah. I almost got her out of the war zone. Then Erica showed up and decided that she wanted to have a mother-daughter summit.
Myrtle: Roof's still on. That's good. Well, did you tell Kendall what you feel?
Zach: You know what I feel right now? I feel like Kendall is surrounded by a bunch of self-righteous vultures. That's what I feel.
Myrtle: Well, I'll take that as no.
Kendall: No, for the first time in my life, there is not one selfish drop in my motives. Yes, it's hard to believe, I know, but I was in no way wanting to hang on to this baby on any level.
Erica: No, I know that. I know you never intended to claim this baby as your own. And that was selfless. That was valiant.
Kendall: Well, then pin a medal on me. I'm done.
Erica: But you're human, honey, and you loved Ryan. And so I think that maybe it's possible that somewhere inside you, even subconsciously, maybe part of you just wanted to be the mother of Ryan's baby.
Kendall: Just when I think that you might understand me for once, you think crazy, selfish Kendall has just gone off the deep end one more time.
Erica: No, I am not judging you.
Kendall: Mother, this is for Greenlee. First, last, and always is Greenlee.
Erica: And I'm just trying to help you.
Kendall: Mother, I can't. I can't. I've got to get out of here.
Erica: Kendall, please, don't -- Kendall.
Kendall: Oh, God, not you.
Jack: I'm not done with you yet.
Kendall: Yes, you are.
Erica: Kendall, honey, please don't leave like this.
Kendall: I can't, ok? Not another word from either of you. I -- I got to get out of here.
Greenlee: You'd reverse your procedure? Why? You don't want a child.
Ryan: I want you. I want you more than anything else in the entire world. And if there's a chance that you still will have my baby -- I know that's a very big "if" -- but if there's even the slightest chance, I will go tomorrow morning and make the appointment.
Greenlee: I can't carry a child. You know that. Is that why you're offering? Make this grand gesture, because I can't keep my end of the deal?
Ryan: We'll get a surrogate. We'll get a surrogate, someone that we don't know, a stranger, somebody that we can pay. We can have a family, Greenlee. We can do this. This is possible.
Greenlee: Pay a stranger?
Ryan: I don't want you to decide right now. I'm not asking for that, not now, not a month from now, not even a year from now. I just want you to have an open mind about us, about our future. I will do that for you. I will reverse the vasectomy. Take it as -- take it as a show of my love for you, as my faith in us. Will you, Greenlee? Will you do that? Can you?
Greenlee: You want me to do this again? Trust you? Trust some woman to carry our child? Trust the doctor?
Ryan: I'm not asking for instant trust. I'm not asking for any promises. Just a -- just a "maybe someday" kind of a thing. Just don't slam the door.
Greenlee: Like you slammed the door on us with your fake death? Like Kendall slammed the door on my baby?
Ryan: I can't change that, Greenlee. I can't change the past, I can't change the pain that I caused you, but I'm going to do everything that I possibly can for our future. Just tell me that we have a chance.
Greenlee: I can't think, I can't breathe. How much more am I supposed to take? Hit after hit after hit -- it never ends.
Ryan: It can end right now.
Greenlee: Everything in me screaming, run, go -- as fast as I can, as far as I can.
Ryan: You want to run? I'll go with you. I will, tonight. Let's go.
Erica: That's what you call being supportive? Ambushing Kendall?
Jack: What was she thinking? I mean, you saw Greenlee. You -- you know what this is doing to her.
Erica: And what about Kendall? Did you even stop long enough to think about that? Kendall is pregnant, and she's incredibly vulnerable. And lashing out like that in front of everyone --
Jack: She lied, Erica. And because of Kendallís lie, Greenlee would have had to live with that for the rest of her life. I'm glad it came out now before Kendall could do any more damage.
Erica: Kendall is devastated. Did you even slow down long enough to see that? I mean, the last thing Kendall needed was you in her face.
Jack: Erica, my daughter may not recover from this.
Erica: And I sympathize with Greenlee. But Kendall is in the same very fragile position. I will not allow you or anyone to attack my daughter.
Myrtle: You know, that summit with Erica and Kendall has got to be over.
Zach: Well, the roof's still on. That's a good sign.
Myrtle: You know, she may still need a strong shoulder.
Zach: I'm nobody's hero, Myrtle.
Myrtle: You're somebody's husband.
Zach: No woman's ever been better off after my interference.
Myrtle: Hmm. You're going to play the cheeky headed hero and leave her to her own devices, right? I have to tell you, she has every right to know what you feel for her.
Zach: Kendall needs peace right now, not declarations.
Myrtle: You can make as many excuses as you like. But if you don't declare yourself and how you feel to that girl, you are a fool.
Joe: We should have the blood and tox screen reports back soon. And in the meantime, I think you ought to have a hospital bed.
Krystal: The only place I intend to be is by my baby doll's side until she pulls through.
Babe: If this is another trick --
David: No. You've been absolutely right all along. I don't know why I couldn't see it before.
Babe: What, your huge ego?
David: It is a privilege to be a part of your life, Babe, not a right. I stormed in, I started bossing you around, stomping on what I had no right to stomp on. You are a grown woman, not a child, and I should respect that. I mean, you hit it, Babe. My style of parenting has been totally out of control.
Krystal: What are you doing here? Babe is fighting for breath! The last thing she needs is you sucking up all the air!
Babe: No, Mama, it's ok.
Krystal: See? She's not in her right mind. I'm calling security and getting you kicked out of here.
Babe: Mama, no. Ahem. David is in the middle of reforming, again, and I want to see how it turns out.
Krystal: Well, then, by all means, don't let me stop you.
David: Babe, these aren't just words or another empty promise. This is a promise that I intend to keep. Look, you don't have to believe me now. I will show you, ok? I will prove that I can be the father that you need me to be.
Babe: You promise not to interfere with my life?
David: You have my word. Now, that doesn't mean I can't worry, Babe, and I am worried. I mean, this whole plan to lure J.R. into marriage so you can divorce him and have custody of Little Adam? I mean, come on. I mean, that's the worst possible idea --
Krystal: You want me to kick him out right now?
David: But I will not interfere. I will not say another word, no matter how wrong it is. I will offer you nothing but unconditional love. And when this strategy of yours blows up in your beautiful face --
Krystal: Oh, for Peteís sake, you call that support?
David: I will be there to help pick up the pieces. But in the meantime, I promise, no micromanaging, no guerrilla tactics, no preemptive strikes. Ok?
J.R.: What is this? Trilateral treaty? Policy briefing? Speak up, David. Don't be shy. What's this family confab all about?
David: I just stopped by to make sure that Babe's ok. You're breathing easier.
J.R.: Thank you for your diagnosis. Don't you have a toilet to clean?
David: If I do, maybe I should use your face to do it.
Krystal: All right, fellas, come on, now. Step back.
Babe: Promises do get stale real quick around here.
J.R.: What promises?
David: I just wanted to see for myself, make sure that you're all right.
Babe: I'll be fine. Now, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to talk to J.R. alone.
Krystal: Come on, David, why don't you take me for a spin. I got a few rounds to make of my own, ok? Love you, baby doll. I'll check back on you again soon.
Babe: Feel better, too.
Krystal: All right.
J.R.: I spoke to Winifred. Little Adam is totally fine.
Babe: Give him a kiss for me when you go home?
J.R.: I have a feeling you're going to be able to do that yourself real soon.
Babe: Got my fingers crossed.
J.R.: You know, you gave me -- you gave us a scare.
Babe: Was that before or after my breathy fake sick thing?
J.R.: I shot off my mouth. I'm sorry.
Babe: I know.
Krystal: Don't you even think about dying on me, Adam, or I swear I will hound you to Hades.
[Sitting alone at the bar, Zach remembers Myrtle's advice.]
Myrtle's voice: If you don't declare yourself and how you feel to that girl, you are a fool.
Greenlee: Leave tonight? Just the two of us?
Ryan: We've done it before. Why not do it again?
Greenlee: Jonathan? Erin? Your baby on the way?
Ryan: I can keep in touch with -- with my brother and my sister. I can keep calling, make sure that they're taken care of.
Greenlee: What about Kendallís baby?
Ryan: I don't know. It's just I'm still -- we can find a way to deal with it, Greenlee, I know we can. We can make sense of it. Just say the word, please, and we can make it happen.
Greenlee: I don't think it's a good idea.
Ryan: But it's not a bad idea. It's not, you and me. We just -- we've lost so much time. I don't want to lose another second, Greenlee. I don't want to share you with anyone. I don't want to -- I want to completely devote myself to you with no distractions. I want to make you realize how much you mean to me. I want to make up to you what I've done. We can travel, and we can plan our future. I will spend every second of every day proving to you how much you mean to me, how much I love you. I just need you to say yes.
[Greenlee and Ryan see Kendall standing in their doorway.]
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Tad (to Erica): If Greg Madden has done anything he needs to be punished for, I'll find out about it.
Jack (to Zach): What happens with my family is really none of your business, now, is it?
Zach (to Jack): Everything to do with Kendall is very much my business.
Kendall (to Greenlee): You can hate me. You can hate me all you want, but don't walk out on your son.
