[Jonathan gets out of his hospital bed and falls to the floor.]
Ryan: Hey, Hockett? Go get the doctor. Hockett?
Kendall: So can you give me something else to make sure that Ryan's baby's a sure thing?
Greg: What, the progesterone and the estrogen are not enough?
Kendall: You can give me a hundred shots if it means that the magic wand will say "baby onboard."
Greg: So you're feeling pretty good, huh? Nothing unusual?
Kendall: Well, it's all unusual. I mean, Ryan's baby could be growing inside of me. It's incredible.
Greg: Have you told Erica about the surrogacy yet?
Kendall: Greenlee and I are anti-negativity. Once my mother hears about this, every state east of the Mississippi better brace for the aftershocks.
Greg: Kendall, please tell Erica. The sooner the better.
Erica: Take the rest of the day off, scope out Kendallís sexual preference, and get back to me.
Josh: I've got a bad feeling about this, Erica.
Erica: Josh, I cannot stand to think that my daughter is having a love affair with Greenlee. So, you handle this matter, I'll take care of this.
Josh: Greenlee. How you doing?
Erica: Now, what can I do for you?
Greenlee: You can talk about Kendall.
J.R.: Let me see my mother's letter.
Del: J.R., don't listen to Tad. Dixie's coming back.
Tad: How can you say that? You haven't even read the note. Obviously, she knows the person she's dealing with is a killer.
J.R.: This sorry excuse -- you know, I used to think that you were just going to break her heart, but now she might die because of you.
Garret: Di, you look worried.
Di: I've explained the situation.
Garret: What, you don't understand?
Julia: You want to kill me. I don't need pictures.
Garret: Julia, I'm a reasonable man. But whether you live or die is entirely up to you.
J.R.: If anything happens to my mother, so help me. I just got her back. If you're responsible for taking her away from me again, I swear --
Adam: Son, let's concentrate on finding Dixie. Leave him for later.
Krystal: Tad loves your mama. There's no way that he's going to --
Tad: No, he's got a right to be angry.
J.R.: Know what? I'm wasting my time on you.
Babe: J.R., wait, just -- I just want to help.
Krystal: I know. We all do, baby doll.
Adam: Why did Dixie bother coming back here in the first place?
Tad: Don't start asking stupid questions.
Adam: She returns from the dead, she comes back into the house, into her son's heart, and then she runs off to get herself killed.
Tad: I will find Dixie, and I'll bring her back alive.
Adam: You're going to swoop in and save her? How?
Krystal: If Tad says that he can do it, then he can do it.
Tad: The letter -- the one I expected to find? -- It names the man that Dixieís meeting. I find that letter, I find Dixie.
Di: Julia doesn't want to die.
Garret: Let's hear it from her.
Julia: I choose to live. Why don't you unlock the door, and we can discuss it over lunch at the Royal Plaza?
Garret: You doubt my sincerity.
Julia: Well, why, because you murdered my husband?
Garret: I regret what happened to Noah, and I don't want the same end for you.
Julia: I know your name now.
Di: Julia, I swear, you can trust him.
Julia: Well, you know how I feel about you.
Garret: You blame me for everything, even the nine years you spent in Witness Protection. But what you need, Julia, is a fresh perspective so you can readjust your thinking. I can give you that perspective. But the choice is yours -- focus on violence and revenge and death, or 30, 40 -- 40 years of happy and safe living under my protection.
Greenlee: When you dropped off Kendallís wallet, you skirted around a lot.
Erica: I did?
Greenlee: Fine. Let me remind you of the pledge that you and Jack made. "Thou shalt not mess in thy children's or stepchildren's lives."
Erica: And I'm messing, Greenlee? Really, where did I overstep?
Greenlee: I'm not here to split dry ends with you. Stay out of our lives.
Erica: "Our lives"? Yours and Kendall's?
Greenlee: Kendall doesn't need any extra angst right now.
Erica: Oh. Has she given you permission to speak for her?
Greenlee: Kendall and I have gotten closer.
Erica: Which is probably the cause of her hyperemotional state.
Greenlee: I don't want Kendall hurt. I'll do everything I can to prevent that.
Erica: So you are. So she is. You have taken advantage of Kendall. You're using her, and I will not allow it to continue.
Greenlee: Oh, God, you do know.
Erica: Of course I know!
Greenlee: How did you find out?
Erica: Are you kidding? Do you think I can't look at my daughter and know? A mother knows, Greenlee. And don't forget what I went through with Bianca.
Greenlee: Kendallís different.
Erica: Yeah, thanks to you involvement, yes.
Greenlee: Kendall is very happy about this.
Erica: And for how long? Don't kid yourself. This is just an experiment for Kendall. This is just a whim.
Greenlee: No, I disagree. Neither one of us will have any regrets.
Erica: Oh, please.
Greenlee: Kendall wanted to do this for me. She wanted to get me through after losing Ryan. She saved my life.
Erica: Well, great, you're saved, so now Kendall can move on.
Greenlee: She's held me, comforted me, made it possible for me to love again. What we're doing is miraculous.
Erica: Look, I know this may have been triggered by your mutual grief over Ryan, but this is not miraculous. This is a mistake, and I want it to stop now.
Greenlee: Kendall was afraid you would disagree and turn this into something ugly. Thanks so much for proving her right.
Erica: Oh, shut up. I loved Ryan, too. And I know losing him and then having the miscarriage, I know the toll it took on you. And it really was a tragedy, Greenlee, I will give you that. But do you think that using Kendall this way is honestly going to bring you lasting happiness? Well, for once, will you stop being so selfish and think about what you're doing to Kendall?
Greg: Erica will be very hurt when she finds out you didn't clue her in on your plans.
Kendall: Why are you so concerned about my mother?
Greg: Because I like her. I like Erica a lot. I don't like keeping secrets from her.
Kendall: Ok, well, once I confess, I will be sure to keep you in the clear. Believe me, this is the way to go.
Greg: You know, she loves children.
Kendall: Yeah, selectively, not generically. I mean, I'm having a baby that I'm going to give to Greenlee, who is not exactly on the top of my mother's list of people that she cares about. She won't be throwing us any baby showers. She'll think it's wrong.
Greg: What about you? Do you think it's wrong? Are you having any regrets?
Kendall: No. No, I mean, we're conspiring with the universe to make a miracle. I've never been a part of something so big before. It's -- it's scary, but -- but I feel like it's the right thing to do.
Greg: That's all that counts. I'll see you tomorrow.
Greg: Now, you'll call me if you need me?
Kendall: Yes, yes. Of course. Thank you.
[Knock on door]
Josh: Hi. Uh, you got a minute?
Kendall: Uh -- sure. What's up? Does my mother need something?
Josh: Oh, where to begin?
Kendall: What can I do?
Josh: Um -- actually, I thought we could talk.
Kendall: About "New Beginnings"?
Josh: Possibly. New choices, changing lifestyles.
Kendall: What am I, a mini focus group?
Josh: Ok, yeah, sort of.
Kendall: Ok, I'm very confused.
Josh: Ahem. Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie?
Kendall: For what?
Josh: Well, if you had to choose, who's hotter, Brad or Angelina?
Kendall: Oh, well, they're both hot. Sort of equal, just different sexes.
Josh: Do you want to go out?
Kendall: What for? Not -- not like a date?
Josh: Why not a date? I mean, I felt some sort of connection. Am I wrong?
Kendall: I'm married.
Josh: Yeah, but isn't that just business, on paper only? I'll pick you up, we'll go to SOS. We'll see where it leads.
Kendall: What is wrong with you?
Josh: Nothing. You're a fabulous woman, and I'm a guy. And, well, let's explore the possibilities.
Kendall: Ok. Unless you want our date to be a visit to the psych ward visiting area, you'd better tell me what game you're playing and why.
Ryan: Take it easy. Lie back slowly. You sure you didn't hurt yourself?
Jonathan: Won't work. Won't work.
Ryan: Doctor, Doctor, he was right here on the floor when we came in.
Dr. Marquay: Julian, take it easy.
Erin: He tried to get out of bed, but he fell.
Jonathan: Won't work.
Dr. Marquay: It's frustrating. You're having trouble sorting out your thoughts, stringing together your words. That's normal after a procedure like yours.
Erin: See? See? You're going to be all right.
Dr. Marquay: The surgery was a success, but healing takes time. Your brain needs to rest and regenerate.
Ryan: Dr. Marquay says it's like a computer that's rebooting. Your brain is, is just kind of searching for the files.
Dr. Marquay: Let it come back gradually. Be patient. Can you do that?
Jonathan: Want. I want.
Erin: I was afraid it was another one of those seizures.
Dr. Marquay: We're controlling his seizures with medication, but he did suffer some brain damage.
Erin: Oh, my God.
Ryan: Well, how bad is it?
Dr. Marquay: He's scheduled for an MRI this afternoon, but I don't expect to find any big problems.
Jonathan: Want. I want!
Ryan: Well, wait, what is it? What is it that you want?
Dr. Marquay: I was just saying there's no reason to think that you won't regain all your physical and mental capabilities.
Erin: You heard that? You're going to be good as new.
Dr. Marquay: We've got a fine rehab center right next door. We'll get you settled over there as soon as you're able.
Jonathan: I want to --
Ryan: Ok. Look, I think it's best if you just try to relax. Am I right? Just try to relax, ok, Hockett?
Dr. Marquay: Well, it's up to your family about your treatment, but you have plenty of time to decide.
Jonathan: I want go back Valley. Pine Valley. I want to go back.
Ryan: Hockett, Hockett, we can't go back to Pine Valley.
Jonathan: I want. I want.
Erin: Why can't we? Come on, Ryan, let's take him back to Pine Valley.
Josh: Are you opposed to dating me?
Kendall: Why this sudden obsession with dating? I mean, it's very, very flattering, but it's bizarre.
Josh: You are a fabulous woman.
Kendall: Yeah, and?
Josh: And I enjoy working for your mother. But sometimes --
Kendall: Oh, so this is about "New Beginnings."
Josh: Are you gay?
Kendall: Huh? What?
Josh: I'm sorry. Have a nice day.
Kendall: Wait, what? What are you -- hold on! What am I gay? What in the name of Rosie OíDonnell is going on here?
Josh: Erica thinks you might be having an affair with Greenlee.
Kendall: What? Oh!
Erica: Please stop. You know you're going to turn on Kendall again.
Greenlee: No, I won't. I love her. That's why I want you to stay away from her. Don't torment her about this. She doesn't need your interference.
Erica: She needs my love and my support and she needs my defense against you. You are nothing but a predator. You think -- you think I'm going to let you take over my daughter's life, you think again. This stops now.
Greenlee: It's too late, Erica. The deed is done. There's not a damn thing you can do about it.
Adam: I have some calls to make.
Krystal: Just don't get in Tad's way.
Adam: Don't worry, I'll let him fail on his own.
Tad: You stay put, rat boy. Ship's not sinking yet.
Del: Oh, I thought you wanted to handle this all on your own.
Tad: I do. But first you're going to tell me every single thing Dixie ever said about this guy.
Del: Don't you think that I would save her if I could?
Tad: Maybe you're too thick to know what's important. You tell me. I'll decide.
Babe: I wanted J.R. knocked off his pins, but now that he is -- this is really awful. If I thought you were dead --
Krystal: Do you think we ought to tell the truth about Di Kirby, that she's really not Dixie?
Babe: Do you?
Del: Look, I don't know what you want.
Tad: I want your sister back alive.
Del: You might find her in New York.
Tad: Why New York?
Del: I don't know, she mentioned New York, someone she knows in New York City.
Tad: Well, it's kind of a big place. You got to give me more than that.
Del: I don't have anything. Some men paid me a visit once on Sturgess' orders.
Tad: No, forget about Kevin Sturgess, ok? He's old news, he's cold news. I need the name of the man he works for.
Del: I haven't got it.
Tad: Don't screw with me, Delbert.
Del: I swear, that's all I can tell you.
Babe: If we really think it could help, we should --
Krystal: You know, for once, I agree with Adam. Di waltzes in here, she gets everybody to love her, and now she is all set to just rip Tad's heart out all over again. I'm telling you, if that woman's life wasn't in the balance, Iíd say she made her bed of nails, let her lie on it.
Di: I've known Garret's identity for ages and he's let me live, as Di and Dixie.
Garret: I'm very good at keeping secrets.
Di: As long as we keep his. He's not a cold-blooded killer.
Garret: See, Di knows from experience. She's being a very good friend to you, Julia -- to me, too -- and I hate losing friends.
Di: So you and I can walk out of here, Julia. He'll keep his word.
Garret: See, I know I could let Di go home, and I'd be safe and secure. She won't betray me. But she won't leave without you. Now, I admire that kind of devotion, I value it, but it puts me in a very, very awkward position. You now hold Diís life in your hands. Whatever decision you make for yourself you make for her, as well, and I don't want to lose either of you.
Julia: You really do care about us?
Garret: We all want the same things, Julia -- peace, life, and the time to enjoy it. Now, you have the power to let us all have that -- if you can get over your hatred of me. Can you do that, Julia? What do you want more, your life or revenge?
Kendall: Oh! Oh, Josh! Oh, Josh!
Josh: Uh, do you want some water?
Kendall: Me and Greenlee?
Josh: Maybe a shot of brandy?
Kendall: No, no, no! No, I'm good! I'm really good. I swear I'm good, really. This -- this is my mother's finest moment. You -- you have made my whole day. No, no, no, you've made my year. You've made my whole year!
Josh: Wait a minute, where are you going?
Kendall: My poor mother. I can't believe I worried her so. I mean, wow.
Josh: You're going to rock her world, aren't you?
Kendall: I just want to have some fun. A little fun.
Josh: Ok, wait, at whose expense?
Kendall: Whoo! Not yours, not yours, I promise. I love you so much for this, and I will protect you until the day I die. This will be our little secret.
Josh: Give me the details later?
Kendall: I have no secrets from you. Brad Pitt, yummy. Yummy.
Greg: You are not to date Kendall Hart.
Erin: We can take Jonathan back to Pine Valley, you can see Greenlee.
Jonathan: Greenlee. Pine Valley.
Erin: I watched you when we called her. You still love Greenlee. It's killing you to be away from her.
Ryan: They will lock Jonathan up.
Erin: What he did wasn't his fault, it was this tumor. It was a mental defect. You don't have to be dead anymore, Ryan. You can go back to Greenlee.
Ryan: I didn't leave Pine Valley, because of what Jonathan did. I left because of who I am and what I did.
Greenlee: Kendall and I already did it.
Erica: You think you can shock me? Think again. Your claws are not so deep in my daughter that I can't remove them.
Greenlee: She's not a minor. She can make her own decisions.
Erica: I'll see that she gets therapy.
Greenlee: What kind of therapy?
Erica: I happen to know that this is a lifestyle, not a choice. Bianca knew from a very, very early age. But never, never did Kendall show any interest in this ever.
Greenlee: Whoa. This train is way off the tracks. What are you talking about, Erica?
Kendall: It's all right. Mother knows.
Greenlee: This is one of the strangest --
Kendall: It doesn't matter what she says or does. We know how right we are.
[Kendall grabs Greenlee and kisses her on the lips.]
Kendall: Don't speak, don't speak. She thinks we're lovers.
Kendall: Oh, God, that felt great. Well, our secret is out and so am I.
Greenlee: That's a big, heterosexual albatross off my neck.
Erica: Kendall. Just think about this, Kendall. Think about her!
Kendall: I can't think of anything else. Think about this, Mother. I mean, this -- this would be an amazing opportunity. I mean, what a perfect episode for your show. Greenlee and I personify all kinds of new beginnings.
Erin: You miss Greenlee.
Ryan: Yes, of course I miss Greenlee. The point is she's better off without me.
Erin: Shouldn't that be left up to her?
Ryan: I made the decision. This is not the kind of decision you can just change.
Erin: You are not like Dad, Ryan.
Ryan: Erin, you weren't there. You didn't see what I did, how I felt.
Erin: We've argued, and we've fought, and never once have I been afraid of you.
Ryan: Yeah, you keep harping about Pine Valley --
Erin: And what? You're going to throw a chair, hmm? You going to throw a punch at me?
Ryan: You never know.
Erin: If you were the type to smack a woman, if you were so volatile and out of control, you would've knocked me cold, what, three times that I can think of right off. But you stayed calm, Ryan. You were the reasonable one.
Ryan: I shot Jonathan. I shot our brother.
Erin: Because you had to to save lives, ok? Ryan, maybe all that rage that you felt after that was because you thought you'd killed Jonathan. You said that Greenlee loved you enough to try to convince you that you weren't doomed. She was right, you were wrong. You're a good man, Ryan. You're a loving man. Accept it.
Krystal: All right, you just let me handle this. When the sky that Dixie built comes crashing down, I don't want it landing on you.
Babe: I don't want it landing on either of us.
Krystal: Why don't you just go find J.R.
Babe: You know, if anyone ever said that I would feel sorry for him, I -- I just can't help it.
Tad: I just checked my voicemail messages, got yours. What is it you had to tell me that you didn't think I'd want to hear?
J.R.: This is my mother we're talking about, damn it! Yeah, yeah, if I knew that, I wouldn't be wasting my time with you! You are such an idiot!
Babe: Hi. Naturally, Mr. Chandler is terribly upset, and he's anxious to locate his mother, and I'm sure he didn't mean to say any of that. I hope you can understand. Thank you. Well, you have the number if you need to reach us. I will. Good-bye.
J.R.: What the hell was that?
Babe: He said he'll do all he can as fast as he can.
J.R.: I don't need you to speak for me.
Babe: Well, somebody should until you calm down. Normally people don't bend over backwards for you if you're screaming at them.
J.R.: All right, say it. Because you've been saying it for a long time now, ever since my mother was almost mowed down by that car that night. Satisfied? You win.
Babe: This is not about winning. Two women could be in danger.
J.R.: If anything happens to my mother --
Babe: We'll find her, J.R.
J.R.: "We'll"? Since when do you care about my mother or me?
Babe: Can't I sympathize with what you're going through?
J.R.: No, you can't, because you don't understand. You don't know what my mother means to me.
Babe: Well, I know how I'd feel if it was my mother out there.
J.R.: What, your mother? Your mother is nothing but a trashy, scheming slut.
Babe: Oh, and, what, yours is some saint? You don't know her as well as you think you do.
J.R.: What the hell is that supposed to mean?
Di: It's not prison, Julia. Garret's trying to give you your freedom.
Julia: To do what?
Garret: You want your life to matter. You want to make a difference in this world. You were pursuing nursing. I mean, what would you prefer to manage, a hospital or a hospice? I'll buy the facility, you run it.
Julia: You'd really do that?
Di: Garret can make anything possible.
Garret: For those I trust. And I trust you, Julia.
Julia: Even if you help me, the Feds are after me. They won't stop.
Garret: Don't worry about them. What, you didn't tell her? I've married well, Julia. Captain Mimi Reed, head of the task force that's searching for me? My wife. See, I'll always be a few hundred steps ahead of them. They'll never find either of us.
Julia: Promises are easy to make. How do I know I won't walk out of that door right into a hit man?
Garret: Why waste my time? I could kill you this minute.
Julia: Because maybe you're into sadistic games.
Garret: Maybe you'll walk right out that door, pick up a phone, and rat me out to my wife. Of course, I'd have you dealt with while I took off to some lovely villa with no extradition. But you could inconvenience me. See, Julia, trust has to be mutual. But first you have got to get past this anger and all of this hatred.
Julia: I want to. I do. But tell me how. How do I forget that you had my husband killed? How can I not want you dead for that?
Garret: First you'll have to learn to accept that Noah died not because of me, but because of you. You killed him, Julia.
J.R.: What don't I know about my mother?
Babe: I came in here to sympathize with you, and this is what I get? This is why you're all alone, J.R., and you have no friends. You get ticked off, and you take it out on everyone around you. You don't want help, just say it. You don't need to attack.
[J.R. clears the top of his desk with his arm and begins to search through the drawers.]
Babe: What are you --
J.R.: The letter. It's got to be in here. It tells who he is! Where is that letter?
Tad: Well, come on, Krystal. Whatever it is, I can take it.
Krystal: I just thought you should know the whole story about my marriage to old got-rocks, but what does that matter with Dixie out there missing? Is there anything I can do to help other than man the phones?
Tad: No, not right now. Thanks anyway.
Adam: Martin, you're still here? Or are you back already from rescuing Dixie?
Adam: My private investigator. Now finally we'll get some answers.
Opal: Is Tad -- Tad.
Adam: What --
Opal: Tad, look at this -- hanging upside down from a tree like a slaughtered hog! Dixie is in trouble.
Adam: Who called you?
Opal: Fate, oblivion. Look at this -- lightning hitting the castle, black nothingness, oblivion, the skeleton!
Tad: Mama, that's almost interesting, but I'm kind of busy right now.
Opal: What, with her? What brought you slithering back around Casa Chandler, anyway?
Krystal: Well, you've got the gift. Read my cards.
Opal: Maybe you are the lightning hitting the castle.
Krystal: Did you see any lovers? Any coins? I married Adam.
Adam: One word, and it will be your last.
Krystal: So, what's the plan?
Tad: Well, when Dixie met with this guy the first time, it had to be somewhere close because Julia said it only took a couple of hours. So obviously somebody must have seen them. Maybe I can find out who she met with and where.
Opal: The newlywed. The cards don't lie. Dixie is in the clutches of a newlywed! Where have you got her stashed?
Garret: Noah and I were close. I loved him. And he died trying to bring you happiness. Now -- now, did I hate you for that? Yes. But I came to terms with it. I forgave you, Julia. I'm offering you my hand. And if you're smart enough to take it, we can have an amazing future.
Josh: What's with the ambush? What, are you following me?
Greg: No, I saw you go in and I waited for you -- not until you promise me you will not get involved with her.
Josh: Give me one good reason why I shouldn't.
Erica: Kendall, you're just doing this to torture me. You know that Greenlee is -- I'm sorry, but -- unstable. And in three weeks some man is going to moan in her direction, and you --
Kendall: What, what, I'll get dumped by her? Gee, thank you very much, Mother. Why can't I be the one to dump her?
Greenlee: As if! I'll be the dumper. You'll --
Kendall: You'll -- I'll -- what?
Erica: Oh, I see. Well, I'm so glad that my concern amuses you.
Kendall: Oh -- oh, God, come on. Mother, how could you possibly think that Greenlee and I were lovers?
Erica: I guess because my life has been so perfect lately, I expect a plague of locusts to fall from the sky.
Greenlee: Careful, Erica. Kendall is still in my power. I can make her my love slave just like that.
Erica: Oh, come on. You had your fun now. Good-bye.
Kendall: Ok, ok, Mom, listen, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, ok, but it just -- it seemed so ridiculously outrageous.
Greenlee: Why? I'm pretty, I have fashion sense.
Kendall: Yes, and you're smart and witty. And I have come to love Greenlee as a best friend.
Greenlee: And vice versa, something neither of us ever expected.
Kendall: Yeah, I mean, believe me, she's not my type when it comes to total fulfillment.
Erica: Well, that's the best news I've had all day.
Kendall: Well, why don't we leave while we're all slightly happy. Ok.
Erica: Not so fast. I misinterpreted your secret, but a secret still exists. So make it easy on yourselves. Tell me what it is now.
Tad: I got to check in with Aidan.
Krystal: Tad, everything's going to work out fine.
Opal: We shall see. The cards never lie. Let me see. Nothing new there, or there. You're not off the hook yet, bucko. Let's see here. What is that, the night of blondes. That doesn't tell us much right now. No -- look over here. Let's see what comes up. Oh, my gosh, the swords -- the tower. the tower. The newlyweds have Dixie stashed in a tower!
J.R.: It's nothing!
Babe: I'll be out with Mama.
J.R.: Look, Babe, if it's something I don't want to hear -- I need them to keep working for me, and if I just -- I get on the phone, it's not going to be any good.
Babe: Hello? Yes, he is, but he's unavailable. I'm handling it. Babe Chandler. I used to be his wife.
Garret: I'm offering you everything you desire, Julia. A fresh start, endless opportunities, and someone who cares about you.
Julia: I'll do it. I'll protect you. Please let me go. I'll never tell anyone who you are. I'll do whatever you say.
Garret: Until you sharpen another chair leg and plunge it through my heart.
Julia: No, I -- I need you.
Garret: You still want to kill me, Julia, I can see it in your eyes.
Garret: But I meant what I said, because I'm a generous man. So generous, I'm going to give you more time to come around. Or to perfect your delivery. Work on it.
Julia: You bastard! You're dead! You're dead!
Josh: You don't want me to date Kendall? Why, because she's Erica's daughter?
Greg: There are consequences, and there will be repercussions, things that you cannot even imagine.
Jonathan: Pine Valley. Say go -- go say back.
Erin: We can do it, Ryan, you and Jonathan and I. We can make things right there. I know we can. Look, think how great that would be for him and for you.
Ryan: Even if I could go back to Greenlee, with the baby and -- I can't.
Greenlee: Honest, there is no deep, dark secret. It was a total scam, except the part about Kendall saving my life.
Kendall: You said that?
Greenlee: I meant it. She's gotten me through so much. I couldn't ask for a better friend.
Erica: Cue Bette Midler -- Kendallís the wind beneath your wings. Kendall, please, you and I have taken such a long time to build the relationship we have. You think this is interference? Maybe someday you're going to see it for what it really is. It's maternal instinct. It's a mother's love wanting to protect you. Please -- please tell me what's going on with you.
Kendall: I'm going to tell her.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Jamie (to Babe): I'm here to help find Dixie. Not everything's about you.
Krystal (to David): You're not telling anybody anything!
Greenlee (to Erica): Kendall volunteered to help me. She's my one and only hope to hold a part of Ryan in my arms.
