All My Children Transcript Monday 6/13/05
Proofread by Gisele
Simone: Yeah, I saw you with Madam X, and even in the dark you didn't look like strangers.
Ryan: I am not hearing this.
Simone: You know, I went back there later, and I tried to talk my way in, but your little secret lady friend -- she slammed the door in my face. I guess she prefers them tall, male, and with a six-pack.
Ryan: Don't do this, Simone. Don't mess with my life. My marriage is none of your business.
Simone: It is if you're cheating on Greenlee. You boink a backstreet party girl, Greenlee deserves to know.
Ryan: The woman is nobody you or anybody else needs to know about, so just back off!
Kendall: Why don't you throw something, Ryan? How about you knock over another chair? Your inner mad dog might scare Simone, but not me.
Simone: Hey, who said I was scared?
Kendall: Now, I want the truth, and I won't stop until I get it. Now, spare the outrage and just tell me -- are you sneaking around on Greenlee?
Greenlee: [As Simone] Go away, lady.
Erica: Greenlee, what are you dressed up for?
Greenlee: You've made a mistake.
[Greenlee screams as Erica yanks off her long black wig.]
Erica: Oh, Greenlee. I mean, these are tough times, but this is so extreme.
Greenlee: [Normal voice] Get lost.
Erica: Look, I don't know what's going on, but you can't go on like this. I mean, I know this is not some sort of a fashion statement. It's a -- it's a cry for help, but why would you shout it out here of all places?
Dr. Madden: She's trying to get her husband's sperm donation.
Babe: Now I know why they call it the grave--
Babe: Rise and shine. Someone want to tell me what's wrong with this picture?
Di: Those are the hardest words I have ever had to say. I know how hard they are to hear. I know I don't look the same. So much has happened, and I've been through so many changes, but Tad's not lying, J.R. It's me -- Dixie, your mother.
J.R.: Oh, my God.
Jamie: Of course Amanda had no idea J.R. drugged her juice, turned her drink into a come-on-to-me cocktail.
Babe: Way to go, J.R. He just earned his next ring for the down-and-dirty.
Amanda: Ohh. It's mostly a blurry blank. Did I -- do I have to change my name and leave town?
Jamie: Uh, yeah, you came on to me pretty strong.
Amanda: Oh, God, kill me now. I am so -- Babe, Jamie, I am beyond sorry. I had no idea.
Babe: Please. This drug means that you never have to say you're sorry. I know exactly how frisky it can make you. It's the exact same drug that J.R. put in my drink, and it almost killed me. Jamie, we really should be getting her to a hospital.
Jamie: I wanted to last night, but she dug in, and I didn't want to freak her out more.
Amanda: I'm ok, really -- nothing more than a shame hangover.
Jamie: So I brought her back here and stayed up all night, making sure that her breathing and her heart were steady.
Amanda: I remember you taking care of me and making sure I was ok. Hmm -- the healing hands of James Martin. You'd make one heck of a doctor.
Jamie: Doctors do no harm. Wait till I get ahold of J.R.
J.R.: So Mom's home?
Di: I know you must have a thousand questions, starting with --
J.R.: No, I only have one -- one question. How much are they paying you?
Di: J.R., sweetie, it's not like that. I'm sorry for everything that --
J.R.: Tad did this. This has your fingerprints all over it, not my mother's.
Tad: No, no, no, no. I swear to you nobody put her up to anything. Whatever her reasons, she decided to --
Di: Tad, you hush up. Now, I told the truth when I said that Tad had nothing to do with me coming here.
J.R.: Then that leaves you, Dad. You should cut her a check, so she can pack her bags and get out of here.
Adam: Son, I swear to you I am just as surprised as you are.
J.R.: Do I look surprised? I've been waiting to see what you were going to pull. You get 10 for originality, but you lose points for overkill.
Di: J.R., if I were you, I would have plenty of doubts, but you --
J.R.: I don't have any doubts. I know that this is a setup. This is all one big, fat, money-fed lie.
Di: No. As much as you need it to be a lie right now, as angry as it makes you, and you all have every right to be, I really am your mother. I didn't die in that crash, though sometimes I wish I had. But I -- I wouldn't be here, just a whisper away from you. J.R., let's -- let's go somewhere and talk --
J.R.: No. No.
Di: J.R., wait.
Adam: Hold it, lady. You're not going anywhere.
Ryan: You invade my life, you get all up in my business, and I need reasons? You don't go there.
Simone: Yeah, well, you know, you do if you want to get out of here by Labor Day.
Kendall: Yeah, I saw a woman go into your apartment after Greenlee walked out on you.
Simone: Yeah, for pruning the family tree. What did she look like?
Kendall: She was trouble in a pair of cha-cha shoes -- blonde hair, blue eyes, size 4, legs up to here.
Simone: Yeah, that's her. That's Madam X.
Ryan: She's nobody. She means nothing to me, all right, so just drop it.
Kendall: No. No, I will not drop it. Now, Greenlee doesn't know it yet, but I'm still her friend.
Ryan: Yeah, you really had her back down in Florida when you opened your mouth and dropped that bombshell, the one that had nothing to do with you. And my wife was so grateful for that that she cut you out of her life, and now you say that you want to help her -- whatever that means to you. You say that she needs to know the truth, but really what you want is you want to wreck lives, because that's what you do, Kendall. Well, don't do it.
Simone: Oh, God. I got to call Greenlee before it's too late.
Kendall: No, you dial that phone, I will reach out and smack you silly.
Greenlee: What are you staring at?
Erica: Greenlee, it's too late for April Fools'. It's too early for trick-or-treat.
Hazel: Ms. Torres, have you selected a donor?
Dr. Madden: There won't be any donor. This is not Ms. Torres -- this is Mrs. Lavery.
Greenlee: Yo, Hazel. Miss me?
Erica: Will somebody please tell me what's going on?
Dr. Madden: Yes. Mrs. Lavery is about to be charged with felony trespass and fraud.
Erica: Oh, Greg, please. Please. Greenlee is a member of my family, so please would you just allow me five minutes with her? I'll find out what in the world has possessed her, but, please, no police.
Greg: Erica, only for you, but I want her out of here in five minutes.
Greenlee: Ok, you've been married to my dad for, like, days, and you're already wrecking my life?
Erica: I think it's lucky for you that I happened to be here today.
Greenlee: Why the hell are you here, anyway? Honeymoon's over, so shadow your stepdaughter? You blew everything -- you sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. You trashed my entire future with Ryan.
Erica: Ok. You stop the blaming, and you start explaining. You've got exactly three minutes to tell me why you're doing Simone Torres on a bad day.
Greenlee: I already have one mother from hell -- thanks for caring. Oh, now you're siccing the cops on me?
Erica: I'm calling your husband. I'm calling Ryan.
Greenlee: Hang up.
Erica: Truth -- Ryan's just a redial away. I'm listening.
Greenlee: Short version. Ryan's worst fear -- we were the breeding ground for the next generation of mean, nasty, whacked-out Laverys, so without telling me, my husband medically pulled the plug on his chances of having a child. So now the world's safe, but our dreams of having a son or daughter are gone.
Erica: Oh, Greenlee, I hardly know what to say. I -- why would Ryan go to such extremes?
Greenlee: Well, your daughter, for one.
Greenlee: Kendall? Ryan's sounding board and secret keeper -- she was never onboard with us having a baby. And then there's your husband, my dear, old dad. Jack has taken all of his anger towards Braden and Jonathan and just dumped it on Ryan, pounding home the message the Lavery gene produces Lavery monsters. And then, finally, there's you, Erica.
Erica: Me? Greenlee, I had no idea that -- that Ryan had taken such drastic measures.
Greenlee: You ruined my perfect plan.
Erica: "Perfect plan"? Greenlee, look at you. I mean, under no conditions was this plan ever perfect.
Greenlee: It was going to happen. I was going to give Ryan a bundle of sweet, cuddly gurgling proof. My husband doesn't have that kind of hate inside of him.
Erica: Look, I understand your desire to have a baby, and I understand that Ryan's taking that dream away from you has made you desperate and a little bit dumb, but this is not the plan. This plan would never have done it. I mean, this plan was destined to fail.
Greenlee: It was full speed ahead until you ruined everything.
Erica: I think it may have been mercy. Why don't you just think about it? I mean, Ryan's donation is not going anywhere in the next day or two, so that means that you have a chance to -- to think this over for a while. You can examine your options. Why don't you talk to Ryan. I'm sure you can get him to see it from your side. I'm sure that we can make him understand.
Greenlee: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, right there, whoa. Did you just say "we"? Erica, I swear to God you even think about taking this to Ryan, I will stalk you into your grave and beyond. Are we clear? So keep your perfect lips zipped.
Jamie: Oh, J.R. has no idea how dead he is.
Amanda: Jamie, please don't go after him.
Babe: You know what? No, go. There's no way J.R.’s getting away with this this time.
Amanda: But nothing really bad happened. I'm ok.
Babe: Amanda, you are not ok. J.R. drugged you. I have been there, and it's as scary as hell. We're getting you to a hospital, and we're going to the cops -- now.
Amanda: I told you I'm fine.
Babe: And we would feel a lot better if a doctor checked you out. You never know -- there could be traces of that drug left in your system. It -- it could be evidence that the cops could use against J.R.
Jamie: Call the ER -- Maria and my granddad. Tell them you're bringing Amanda in. I'm going to take care of J.R.
Amanda: Jamie, please don't go after him. J.R. is smart. He'll have a backup plan. He'll try and use this against me -- his plan to frame me for stealing? He'll have me thrown in jail.
Babe: Amanda, he can make all the noise that he wants, but there's no way he is sliming his way out of this this time.
Amanda: I really just want to forget this.
Babe: Amanda, J.R. drugs women to get them to sleep with him or other people. We really need to stop him.
Jamie: You can help more than you know. The guy that tried to drug you into bed -- that's the guy raising Babe's son. You rat out J.R., you help Babe get her baby back.
[In the nursery, J.R. rocks his little boy.]
Adam: I want a test. I demand a supervised DNA test.
Di: Still barking orders? I've changed, but you're still Adam.
Adam: Lady, I don't know who the hell you really are, but one swab will prove who you're not. So just so you don't get to pull a fast one, I'm not letting you out of my sight till the cops get here.
Di: Adam, I stopped letting you boss me around years ago, and I'm not going to let you start up now, so you go ahead, and you call the Army and the Navy and the Marines. But that is my son up there and my grandson, and right now they need me a lot more than you need your test.
Tad: Maybe. Then again, maybe not, not after what you've done. All those years we were together, no matter what happened, no matter what occurred, you always looked me in the eye. Now, you look me in the eye now, and you tell me how you could do it, how you could do this to us. We're family. Tell me how you could stay away while you knew we were mourning you for dead. You look me in the eye and you tell me how "Together Forever" could rot into something this cruel and heartless.
Simone: Stop it.
Kendall: Give me that.
Simone: Let go.
Kendall: No. Hey, no. Simone! Ha, ha, ha. Oh, oh -- you better be calling for a pizza.
Simone: You heard Ryan, ok? He said that -- that the woman was none of our business, all right? Is that guilty or what? Ok, if he's scoring sex on the side, then Greenlee needs to know.
Kendall: Listen -- ha, ha. Ok, I've been the messenger -- it's a loser job.
Simone: Well, you don't have to do anything, do you? Greenlee is my friend, ok? And if her husband is a scheming, cheating cheater -- stop that -- then Greenlee has a right to know. Really think for a moment.
Kendall: That's great. Not on the company dime. Not on the company dime!
Simone: You did not just do that.
Kendall: You know what? It was either that or rip your tongue out. Listen, Simone, I have been friends with Greenlee way longer than you have.
Simone: Hello. Who was her maid of honor at her wedding to Leo?
Kendall: Oh, well, that was before she found out you were sleeping with Roger.
Simone: Yeah, well, you know, we -- we bonded when we all gave birth to Fusion.
Kendall: You know what? You and Greenlee -- you and Mia have always been closer, ok? Greenlee and I --
Simone: So what?
Kendall: Yeah, well, Greenlee and I have so much more in common. We have looks, we have personality, IQ.
Simone: What, are you saying I'm not smart?
Kendall: Well, you're not smart enough to know what's best for Greenlee right now, and tagging Ryan as a horn dog isn't it.
Simone: Oh, and you have a degree in best friendship? You knew Ryan was taking himself out of the daddy derby, but did you tell best friend Greenlee? No, not until it was too late -- yeah -- and right on time to shred her.
Kendall: Ok, why don't you look up "friend" in the dictionary if you own one. You do not fit the description of "friend" at all, and one whiff that you hear Ryan's putting himself out there again, you'll be the first in line to hit on him.
Simone: Oh. You know, it is just like you to go there. I get it now -- this has nothing to do with Greenlee.
Simone: Yeah, it's about Ethan. It is, huh? You gave him to me. You remember that? I even offered to give him back.
Kendall: Why don't you face it, Simone? You're nothing but a man-stealing slut. You're no friend of Greenlee's or mine.
Simone: Yeah, well, I'm no friend of yours, that's for sure. And you know what? You're nothing more than a -- than a sore-losing, boyfriend taker-backer.
Kendall: Ok, you know what? It is not too late to rip your tongue out.
Greenlee: You've already wrecked enough. Let it go. Forget you saw me here.
Erica: Greenlee, listen to me. I know that you want this baby badly, but this is not the way to go about it. Talk to Ryan. Talk it out. Go for counseling.
Greenlee: Thank you, Dr. Phyllis. Is that the extent of your sage wisdom, the sum total of 10 -- count them, 10 -- marriages? "Talk it out"? There's a hole in my heart where my baby should be. And now that you've tanked my best chances at motherhood and my situation is beyond desperate, I'm going to have to get a smidge more creative than "talk it out."
Erica: You want this baby really badly, I know.
Greenlee: I'm here, aren't I? And not just for me -- I have to save Ryan, and I'm going to.
Erica: Yes, you are, and I'm going to help you.
[Knock on door]
Ryan: Go to hell.
Aidan: Come on. This is not my idea. I'm here as a favor for Tad, ok? He's got a lot going on right now. Otherwise, he'd be here himself. But if you want, I'll tell Tad you'll talk to him later.
Ryan: No, no, no. This is about my sister, isn't it? This is about Erin.
Aidan: Yeah. But fair warning -- it's not good.
Jamie: J.R. always gets off with a warning, but not this time. Help us nail him. Help bring Little Adam back home to Babe.
Amanda: Please, no doctors, no police.
Babe: Amanda, don't be scared. I will be here with you every single step.
Jamie: We won't let J.R. get to you.
Amanda: Hey, I want to help you guys get your son back, but if I do, did I tell you? My dad's old buddies on the force will call him, and he'll drag me back home. Home -- my mom's meds lined up on the counter, I have to have a key to make a peanut butter sandwich, because we have to keep the knives locked up. I can't go back there. If I do, I'll go crazy.
Babe: Jamie, we can't ask Amanda to do something that will wreck her life.
Jamie: No one's forcing you to do anything. That's J.R., not me.
Babe: But we can get you out of that house as fast as Winnie can pack your bags.
Jamie: Yeah, it's way too dangerous.
Babe: From now on, you are bunking with us.
Amanda: I can't. You guys don't have the room, and if I leave, it'll just tick J.R. off.
Jamie: If J.R. makes trouble for you, I'll make trouble for J.R.
Babe: Double trouble because you have me and Jamie on your side.
Amanda: What did I do to deserve you guys? Come here. You're the best. Babe, can I borrow jeans and a T? I need to go get my stuff from J.R.’s.
Jamie: Oh, no way. You stay away from J.R. I'll go.
Babe: Be careful.
Jamie: I will be in and out and back before you know it.
Amanda: I'm sorry to be such a crying wussy girl.
Babe: It's ok. I have cranked out plenty of tears over J.R., but you don't have to cry anymore. You're home.
Di: J.R. is as messed up as he can be, and you are the reason.
Tad: How dare you say that to me. He's right. Either you are an imposter, or you're a lot sicker than we ever thought you were, and that has nothing to do with your fever.
Di: Someone dies. You don't just spring it on them, Tad. You -- you ease them into it, try to find the right words, soften the blow. This is the same thing. I mean, J.R. had to be told that I'm alive, but he needed to hear it from me in my own time and in my own way, but you -- oh, no. You couldn't wait. You just -- you had to hit him with the facts before he was ready, the facts, but not the truth. That is for me to share with my son, not you.
Tad: No. No, not me, obviously not. Well, tell me something -- what did you think I was going to do when I started choking on the fact that you were alive? What did you think I was going to say when I found out you were playing us, all of us? Your own time? Your own way? You've had three years. I don't give a damn what your version of the truth is. As far as I'm concerned, the fact is you tortured us --
Tad: And it's unforgivable.
Di: Ok. You want to punish me, Tad. You go ahead. I can take it. But you leave J.R. out of this. Thanks to you, he thinks this is all a lie, because it came from you, the man who ripped that baby girl out of his arms, the man who told him his own son had died in the river when you knew he was alive. There is your unforgivable, Tad. There's you. Now let me go.
Tad: What about our baby girl? What about my daughter?
Di: If I still had our Kate, do you think she would be anywhere but in my arms? She's gone, Tad. I'm sorry. She didn't make it.
Adam: Tad, do you really think that could be her?
Tad: I don't know. God help me, I don't know. The face is wrong, the voice is wrong. The pain in her eyes, the way she used her hands, the way she said her name. Kate. Dixie was in this room just now.
Amanda: Babe, I hate doing this to you. If you want me to feed J.R. to the cops, I will.
Babe: No, it's -- it's too much pressure on you. And J.R. would probably find a way to wriggle his way out of it, like he always does.
Amanda: Yeah. And here's me, the pop-up from hell. I mean, you and Jamie get, like, five minutes alone together, and here I am stealing your privacy and pumping up the hate between you and J.R.
Babe: Yeah, well, with me and J.R., the sky's the limit. What?
Amanda: Are you sure that you don't have your own mini hate on for me? I mean, for coming on to Jamie?
Babe: I already told you, I -- I've been there, done that. Unless you're really after my man. And then if you are, you'll be wearing your bottom for a beret.
Amanda: You don't have to worry about me.
Babe: I don't have to worry about Jamie. He's -- he's one of those true blue type of guys. He's totally trustworthy.
Amanda: Not his fault he's irresistible.
Babe: Amanda, is there something that you want to tell me?
Greenlee: No, no, no, no, no. Please, no more help, Erica. I already owe you for today.
Greg: Ladies, have we reached an understanding?
Erica: Yes. Yes, Greg, thanks to you, yes, we have. I was able to make Greenlee understand that she's acted kind of irresponsibly, and there will be no more trouble and no need for police.
Greenlee: Must be nice, having two sets of rules. One strict code of ethics for others to live by, and then there's your custom fit code of ethics -- whatever works for Erica. You never met a rule you didn't break or a law that was meant for you. You're such a hypocrite, you should have smoke coming out of your ears.
Erica: Greg, you really need to forgive Greenlee. She's -- she's rather emotional.
Greenlee: Don't apologize for me, and don't try to explain me.
Erica: I wouldn't even if I could. Greg, if Greenlee were to return to the clinic with her husband -- if he were to give his permission --
Greg: I've already told Greenlee, if she were to include her husband, I would lift certain restrictions.
Greenlee: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Greg: But you cannot repeat this costume stunt.
Erica: She won't. Really, you have my word that she won't. In fact, Greenlee, why don't you and I go somewhere private where we can talk?
Greenlee: Let's not and say we did. Thanks for nothing, Erica.
Ryan: Go ahead, tell me about my sister.
Aidan: I tracked her from her flight to Wilmington where she rented a car. Her car rental agent ID'd our photograph. She drove from there to Atlantic City where she checked into a hotel. She was seen in the lobby with Jonathan.
Ryan: That must have been right -- right before Jonathan got to Greenlee and Lily and Kendall.
Aidan: Erin and Jonathan had words. And then a valet saw them leave in a car together. And neither the car or Erin have been seen since. And your sister never checked out of the hotel.
Ryan: Do you think he killed her?
Aidan: It's possible. It's likely.
Ryan: Maybe Jonathan -- maybe he had her in the cave in the back with Braden.
Aidan: Do you want us to keep looking?
Ryan: Right now, I would just like you to go.
Aidan: You can keep the photograph.
Erin’s voice: Ryan, Ryan! Look what I made. It's for you, even though it's not Christmas or your birthday. Because you're the bestest big brother ever, and I love you so much!
Kendall: Listen, ok? Greenlee has a lot in her emotional blender right now. You throw in that Ryan's cheating on her, then forget it, you might as well just press the purée button and pour Greenlee into a straitjacket.
Simone: Maybe. But Greenlee is going through all kinds of extremes right now to get herself -- to get her marriage to Ryan back on track. And if Ryan's already chucked the marriage, then Greenlee's got a right to know.
Kendall: Ok, focus, Simone, all right? No one is telling Greenlee anything.
Greenlee: No one's telling me what?
Little Adam: Dada.
J.R.: Yeah. Sit down there for me. Sit down.
J.R.: You pack your bags and get out of my house.
Di: You can fire the nanny, but you can't fire your mother.
J.R.: You're not my mother.
Di: J.R., listen to me. Hear my story. Then if you want me to go, I'll go.
J.R.: It doesn't matter what you say because I know it's just a bunch of lies.
[Adam offers Tad a drink.]
Tad: No, thank you.
Adam: Well, I don't care what your gut says. I won't even consider the possibility that she's who she says she is until I have verified proof. Whatever I have to do, I'll do.
Tad: So do it. For all our sakes, whatever it takes.
Di: How I crawled out of that wreck, I'll never know. But a hiker found me on the mountain, passed out from the pain. I was in and out of consciousness for a long time. For weeks, I -- I just floated in a fog. It was just lights and needles, mumbled voices. Then one day, one month, I woke up long enough to remember, and I -- I reached down, I put my hand on my belly. And it was flat. It was then I knew I had lost her. I lost your little baby sister. I -- I asked one of the nurses for a mirror, and the face looking back at me -- the scarred, burnt-out face -- it was a stranger's face. I had so many surgeries, I lost count. Face, vocal cords. I must have gargled glass in the accident. My legs, my back -- I couldn't walk or talk. I mean, I -- I had been in funks before, real mean ones. But this one -- this one swallowed me up. I was more dead than alive. I can't even begin to tell you what it was like trapped in my head with no joy, no -- no love, no hope. I mean, I knew who I was, but I didn't feel like Dixie anymore. I lost everything. I lost my baby girl. I didn't feel like anyone's mother.
Adam: Yeah, it's me. What do you mean, "me who"? Get your sorry carcass over here. We have a situation.
Jamie: Where's J.R.?
Adam: Jamie, go away.
Jamie: No, J.R. has used his last free pass. I'm here for Amanda's stuff, and then I'm rolling on him for what he did to her.
Adam: What do you mean, giving her free room and board? You smug-faced Martins make me sick. First Tad brings Dixie up from the dead, and now you're taking issue with mean Janet Green's freeloading daughter?
Jamie: Dad found Dixie?
Adam: Yes, according to your father. She's alive and well, and upstairs as we speak.
Di: You can't understand what it's like, J.R. It's --
J.R.: You're breaking my heart. Now get out.
Jamie: You? The nanny? Dixie?
J.R.: God, spare me. Both of you, get out of here!
Jamie: My dad found proof.
J.R.: He made it up, Jamie. You have a loser father, and you're a loser son.
Jamie: My dad wouldn't say anything unless he was sure.
J.R.: Yeah, well, I'm sorry, there's no match, so why don't you both get the hell out of here!
Di: Boys, stop it, both of you. You're going to upset him.
J.R.: No, don't you even think about touching my son.
Di: I never let you talk back to me, and I'm not going to start now, so hush.
J.R.: I'm warning you.
Di: He's my grandson. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.
Kendall: And the shipment never made it to Grand Rapids at all.
Greenlee: Oh, that's horrible. Ok, Simone, the real story? What aren't you supposed to tell me?
Kendall: I just told you.
Simone: You'd better get comfy.
Kendall: So help me, I will rip your arms off and beat you with the bloody stumps.
Simone: Well, I'll still have legs to die for. Greenlee, it's about your ever-loving husband.
[Knock on door]
Erica: Oh, Ryan, thank God I found you at home.
Ryan: Erica, I don't mean to be rude, but now is not a very good time.
Erica: I'm sorry, Ryan, this can't wait. This is about Greenlee.
Amanda: Babe, I didn't mean I felt that way about Jamie, just that he's an amazing guy. And in case it isn't obvious, his heart has "Babe" tattooed all over it. Lucky you. And lucky me for having friends like you. Thank you for saving me.
Babe: Hey, there's no need for thanks. Come here. You're a part of our family.
Palmer: All right, Adam, what dirty trick you got up your sleeve this time, hmm? What's the rub, and how much is it going to cost me?
Adam: Here's the rub. There's a woman upstairs who claims she's Dixie come back from the dead.
Palmer: What the devil are you talking about?
Adam: You heard me. She says she's Dixie, your beloved niece from Pigeon Hollow. And Tad has fingerprints to prove it. Say something. Whoa, whoa!
Adam: Oh, my God.
[Tad visits Krystal in prison.]
Krystal: You found Dixie.
Di: You two, still fighting like a pair of pups. But you always made up again just like brothers. I know this is confusing, and I know it's got to hurt, but I want to try and explain it all to you. How about I try and scrounge us some chocolate chip cookies, without the nuts, so we can sit down and try and talk this through?
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Greenlee: Simone, speak -- now.
Ethan: Don't you say a word, Simone.
Ryan (to Erica): If she said something to you, I would like to know what that is.
Tad (to Krystal): I found Dixie, and I wish to God I hadn't.
Di (to J.R.): It's me.
