All My Children Transcript Wednesday 6/8/05
Proofread by Gisele
J.R.: You're supposed to be seducing my brother from his skank fiancée, not making time with other guys on the beach.
Amanda: Why so tense, J.R.? Take something off. Relax.
J.R.: You know what? I'm not going to relax, as long as you're macking on Aidan Devane.
Amanda: Ooh, sexy last name, too. What's he do?
J.R.: He's a detective trained to snap people's necks like a twig. By the way, minor detail -- he happens to be partners with the guy's father who you're supposed to be sleeping with!
[On the telephone…..]
Jamie: Do you really think you can find something with Dixie’s fingerprints on it now? I mean, it's been over three years.
Tad: Jamie, please just tell me if you have anything that belonged to Dixie, you know, anything that she would have held.
Jamie: I'll let you know what I come up with.
Tad: I appreciate it. Look, I know this is a long shot.
Jamie: It's not a problem. I know what's riding on it. Later, Dad.
Babe: Your dad wants Dixie’s fingerprints? Why?
Jamie: He's on to something. Or someone. This could really be happening.
Babe: Do you really have to keep that greasy hunk of metal right there on our kitchen table?
Jamie: I'm just trying to keep the oil off the furniture.
Babe: Yeah, well, here's an idea. How about you keep your bike parts in the garage downstairs?
Jamie: I wanted to work up here tonight while you were tending bar. What's got you so hostile?
Babe: I am not hostile. You know what? Fine. Just dump your bike parts wherever you want, the same way that Tad dumped Mama in prison.
Tad: Come on. One item. One little thing. Is it much to ask?
[While Tad searches through large boxes, Aidan appears in the doorway.]
Tad: Yeah, by all means, stand there. Don't do anything. You can watch a grown man go crazy.
Aidan: I see you're in a good mood.
Tad: Yeah, it's Dixie. You want to help, or you going to stand there and throw coins?
Aidan: What were you looking for?
Tad: Anything. Anything that belonged to her, anything with a clean set of prints on it, because if they match the fingerprints on this --
Erica: This is all your fault. I told you to fix it, and you didn't.
Maria: Look, I would ask you what you're talking about, but I don't really care.
Erica: You don't care? You don't care that you are wrecking people's lives? Go to Zach, Maria. Tell him that he is making a mistake marrying Kendall. Will you quit stalling and just go and marry Zach Slater right now.
Zach: Sounds like you're ready to ship me back to the factory.
Kendall: No, no. I'm dead serious. All the reasons for us to stay married are gone, except for your gaming licenses, which we can handle with a simple contract. We're never going to be a real couple, so why do you want to stay married?
Zach: And here I thought the best part of this arranged marriage was that we didn't have to share everything.
Kendall: Ok, listen, you want to pull this whole dismissive act on the rest of the world, great, fine, be my guest, but this ring entitles me to the truth. Come on, hubby. Come on, spit it out. You got some sort of a scam going on? What is it? What, you got the hots for me? At least give me one good reason that I can share with my friends and my mother.
Zach: I'm starting to understand why the rest of your relationships went up in smoke. You talk too much, and you're a huge pain.
Kendall: You know what? You don't intimidate me. I've been insulted by far better men than you. Now, come on, spill. Spill right now, or shall I continue?
Zach: I'm drawing a blank. I guess I'm just deeply shallow. Divorce me if you like.
Kendall: I will divorce you when I'm ready and not a second too soon. Right now you're too useful to me. I need you to protect me from the L word and all that goes with it.
Zach: The L word? You make me feel like such a gentleman.
Kendall: Just -- will you just tell me, please? Are you sticking with me to avoid the whole sappy romance thing, the one that blows up in your face without fail?
Zach: You know what you need? You need a chick flick, not a husband.
Kendall: Come on, Zach, cut to the chase. Are you staying married to me to avoid Maria?
Maria: I have told you before that what Zach does is his own business. I didn't interfere then. I certainly am not going to interfere now.
Erica: I thought you cared about the man.
Maria: He's married to your daughter.
Erica: So what? You know he loves you. And they're never going to consummate that marriage. I mean, Kendall is way too smart for that, thank God.
Maria: Well, technically, they're on their honeymoon. Why don't you get back to me in a week?
Erica: Look, Zach only married Kendall as some sort of a dramatic gesture, for his son's sake, and to get your attention. The least you can do, Maria, after the hell you have put us all through in this town is go after him. Go to him. It's what you both want.
Maria: I don't know why you're so afraid to have him in the family. Is it because you're afraid you can't train him?
Erica: Gee, I don't know, Maria. Why don't you tell me? How did he do with "sit" and "beg"? Obviously, he couldn't master "stay."
Maria: Look, you take care of your own dirty work. If you want to try to pry Zach free of Kendall, you go do it yourself.
Erica: You were the one who lured him here with your stupid amnesia. You inflicted him on us. You owe us.
Maria: Erica, go home. Oh -- my God!
Erica: You admit it, Maria. Just admit it. The man loves you, and you love him.
Zach: Don't bring up Maria.
Kendall: You should be thrilled I want to talk about her. Most wives don't want to hear how much their husbands miss their exes. Come on.
Zach: Why are you so obsessed with this? It doesn't matter.
Kendall: It does matter. It matters to me, because I'm hurting, and I want to know how you make it stop.
J.R.: Are you getting this picture, Amanda?
Amanda: Are you? It is a beautiful night. We should be enjoying the sexy sea air. Instead, you're wasting your energy flapping your jaws about a hookup that never was.
J.R.: No, I'm trying to get it through your thick skull. Now, despite the curves and the attitude and your history here in Pine Valley, you don't know everything. You make one more mistake, hitting on the wrong guy, and you're going to ruin our whole plan. Trust me, it'll be a lot worse for you than it will be me.
J.R.: No, I'm not even close to being finished.
Amanda: Lighten up. What do you want from me? I met a hot guy, we flirted, end of story. I am sure that you had your share of encounters like that. They're totally innocent and super fun. Does anything make you happy?
J.R.: Yeah. Babe and Jamie at each other's throats over you.
Amanda: I'm working on it, ok? So just chill.
J.R.: No, why don't you stop chilling and convince me how you're going to pull this plan off? Where is this killer move you were talking about?
Amanda: It's all right in front of you, J.R. Stop growling, and I'll tell you.
Jamie: Did something else happen between my dad and your mom?
Babe: Tad hasn't gone to see Mama in a while.
Jamie: He's been in Europe.
Babe: Yeah, on a wild-goose chase with Dixie.
Jamie: It doesn't seem like a wild-goose chase now.
Babe: It still doesn't make any sense.
Jamie: No, it doesn't. But you had to know that this was possible. Dixie could be alive.
Babe: Honestly, Jamie, the thought never even crossed my mind. All I kept hearing was what a wonderful mother Dixie was. So when all these clues start coming together, how am I supposed to make sense of that? How could a mother -- better yet, one as caring as Dixie -- be away from her son for three years? It doesn't go with who she is, does it?
Jamie: No. Dixie adored J.R. and me.
Babe: I just wish I never would have even said a word to Mama.
Jamie: Babe --
Babe: Look, I honestly thought that Tad would hit a dead end, and then he'd be right back in Mama's arms. But then, now, thanks to my big fat mouth, Mama has real reasons to cry tears in her pillow.
Jamie: Krystal had to know sometime. You have to understand how huge this is. We all loved her.
Babe: Ok. So let's say that Tad does find Dixie, and we all rejoice and say hallelujah, including me and Mama. Why does it automatically mean that Mama has to get dumped by Tad?
Jamie: I don't know what this means for Krystal -- or any of us.
Babe: It's pretty clear what it means so far. My mama is stuck eating Dixie’s dust, and the woman hasn't even been found yet.
Jamie: From where I'm standing, my dad was protecting your mom.
Babe: Maybe. Or maybe Tad's already forgotten about Mama.
Tad: I stole the compact from Diana's room at the hospital when they took her away to do some tests. I've already got her prints loaded on the computer.
Aidan: Well, you don't have Dixie’s prints on file, though, do you?
Tad: Exactly. All I got to do is come up with one clear print from something I know that she touched, so that I can compare the two and find out whether the new improved Diana Cole and my once upon a time supposedly dead ex-wife are one and the same.
Aidan: Well, I'm happy to help you, but shouldn't we be looking through your house?
Tad: That's just it. I did. I couldn't find anything, not one box. The only thing I could come up with was maybe when, you know, I moved my files over, here I moved Dixie’s stuff by accident.
Aidan: Ok, well, let's get down to business, then. Let's start with this one, shall I?
Tad: Hey, hey, hey, Aidan, come on, be careful, all right?
Aidan: What? I thought you wanted my help. Do you want it or not?
Tad: Yeah, you're right. Go ahead, screw it. If it is Dixie, it's perfectly obvious she has no respect for me or her son.
Aidan: Well, maybe she's got reasons for keeping you in the dark, which will come out later.
Tad: Yeah, that's exactly what I said to J.R. The fact is if it turns out to be Dixie, I have no idea what I would ask her first. I mean, how could she do this to me? Why is she spying us, pretending to be somebody else? The worst part is I got a feeling I'm really going to hate the answers.
Aidan: Well, what if she's not Dixie? Then Dixie’s dead all over again, for good, and all of this is for nothing.
Tad: Maybe I should let whoever it is play it out in her own time.
Aidan: Hey, you know what? You're probably right, because what you don't know can't hurt you, right? So no sense in having all these boxes around, so I'll take care of it, should I?
Tad: Aidan, you know I can't let you do that.
Aidan: Well, then, let's stop messing around. Let's get down to business, shall we?
Jamie: Whatever future my dad and your mom may have had is a long way off. Dixie or not, Krystal is in prison for the next nine years and nine months.
Babe: So you wouldn't wait ten years for me?
Jamie: I'm not talking about you.
Babe: Well, that's obviously how you feel.
Jamie: Are you seriously getting mad at my dad for doing exactly what your mom told him to do?
Babe: Just because Mama took the high road, it doesn't give Tad a free pass to forget her.
Jamie: Who says he's forgotten her? My dad cares a lot for Krystal.
Babe: So the Carey women -- we're good enough to care about, but we're not good enough to be the love of someone's life?
Jamie: What -- hold on. Who are we talking about now?
Babe: My mother is kind and beautiful and funny and as smart as a whip, with a heart of gold to boot, so if you even think she's not as good as Dixie --
Jamie: Babe, stop, ok? I want my dad to find her. I want Dixie back.
Tad: Here's a card the boys sent us on our third honeymoon. Look at this -- "Third time's a charm. Have a rad honeymoon. Love, Jamie and Junior."
Aidan: Sentimental lot, aren't they?
Tad: That is sentimental. It's positively schmaltzy for those two. These are the boys they used to be. What do you think?
Aidan: I think it might be a little bit too small to get a good set of prints --
Tad: Ok. Let's see what else we got.
Aidan: What's that? Family pet went to the taxidermist?
Tad: No, it's plastic. The boys slipped this in a punch bowl for Greenlee's grandparents' party. They wanted to liven things up a bit.
Aidan: Yeah, it's hard to imagine those boys being so tight, isn't it?
Tad: Yeah. It seems like eons ago. Then again, it seems like just yesterday. Anyway, there's no smooth surfaces on Kermie here, so back in the box you go. This is probably slathered with fingerprints, but they're all smudged, because Dixie showed it to everybody who came by the house. It's a Valentine's Day card. Look at that. Me, Dixie, J.R., Jamie -- one nice big happy family.
Aidan: Yeah, "J.R. Chandler" and "nice" -- the two words that don't go together.
Aidan: What's that?
Tad: It's the letter Dixie sent me from Europe, saying she was pregnant and the baby was doing fine. I jumped on the next plane.
Aidan: Anybody besides you read that?
Tad: No one. The only prints on this are mine and Dixie’s -- at least on the letter, anyway. This is it, fish and chips. This is our best chance so far.
Jamie: I understand you're hurting, Babe. I know you love your mom, and I get what this means for her, but think about what this could mean for the rest of us if Dixie were alive.
Babe: I am not saying that I don't want her alive. I do. But what about Mama?
Jamie: My dad was having a baby with Dixie when he lost her. His kid, my sister, could be out there somewhere without a father or even a mother.
Babe: Oh, my God, Jamie, that's horrible.
Jamie: Well, do you seriously expect him to have a clear head about your mom when he has things like that running through his brain?
Babe: No, but I'm also -- I don't want him to write her off like she never existed.
Jamie: You know, and J.R.? He hasn't been the same since she died. All the crud he's pulled lately, blocking us from seeing Little Adam? None of that would have went down if Dixie were here. J.R. would not be as cold as he is if Dixie was around. She wouldn't even have allowed it, because she could get to him like no one else could.
Babe: Nobody can get through to J.R., Jamie.
Jamie: You didn't know her. She was my stepmother. When my mom and dad split custody of me, she became like my second mom. And I could always talk to her when I felt funny talking to them about things. She was always around for me.
Babe: Then where has she been the last three years?
Jamie: We don't know her reasons for staying away, or even if it was her choice. But if she's alive, she didn't stay away because she didn't love us. She was a great mother to J.R. and me.
Babe: And I have a great mother, too. And she is alive and kicking, and she has never abandoned your father. But you'll never be able to admit how wonderful she is, because you've never liked her.
Jamie: Yeah, I had a little problem with Miranda’s DNA switch, but that had nothing to do with --
Babe: You know what, Jamie? Spare me, ok? Spare me, because I know exactly how you feel about Mama, and I know exactly how you feel about everything. You know what? You and your crankshaft? You guys have a cozy night.
[Snatching up her purse, Babe storms out of the apartment.]
Maria: Love? That's an interesting twist coming from you, because you've always called it a cheap affair and that I was nothing more than a slut.
Erica: I said those things in the heat of the moment.
Maria: Well, you know what? You're probably not the only one.
Erica: Well, Maria, if you are worried about people and what they might say, why don't you just prove them wrong? Prove to them that it wasn't just a fling. Get back together with the man that you love.
Maria: And you think it's just that easy?
Erica: Is it easier to let your last chance for happiness just slip through your fingers? Are you that much of a martyr, Maria, that you are willing to risk your entire future?
Maria: Don't you think if it wasn't impossible, I'd already be with him?
Zach: Maybe you shouldn't look to me for romantic advice. You see what I did with fatherhood. Imagine me with hearts and flowers.
Kendall: Maria had to have seen something in you.
Zach: It was two people alone in the beautiful desert. No questions, no families, no commitments. It's easy to fall in love like that, you know.
Kendall: Ok, ok, you're not going to give on this one, fine. What about the other loves of your life? Was Maria the only one? Wait, she is. She is, isn't she?
Zach: It's done now. It's done, but -- what is it -- "Love is a dog from hell."
Kendall: Hmm. I've been there and almost said that. But then something always happens, and I fall right back into it. Instead of living and learning and growing, I just mess up worse each time.
Zach: Well, then, you got to move on and don't look back.
Kendall: See, I don't understand how you can just forget about someone who you care about so much. I mean, when you see Maria --
Zach: I don't see her.
Kendall: Well, what about when you're lying in bed at night, and you're missing her, and you're dreaming about her?
Zach: I don't dream anymore, either.
Kendall: Come on, Zach. The one and only true love of your life, just gone without a trace? That's it? I mean, don't you -- don't you ever still want to touch her and feel her? I don't understand. How do you make it not matter?
Zach: I don't. It does matter. It's the only thing that matters.
Tad: You believe this?
Aidan: There's nothing on there to lift, Tad.
Tad: Who wipes the prints off a letter before putting it back in the envelope?
Aidan: I don't know. Who knows? Have you got anything else?
Tad: I don't know.
[Reaching into a box, Tad pulls out a snow globe.]
Tad: Aidan? The kids brought this back from a field trip.
Aidan: Man, this is going to be perfect. This glass surface -- we are bound to get a perfect print off it. I'm going to go upstairs and start dusting.
Tad: All right.
Babe: My mama loves you as much as I love Jamie. Do you love her?
J.R.: After a loser day, only your sick imagination could save the night.
Amanda: Told you I can make you happy.
J.R.: That depends.
J.R.: Whether or not you come home tonight. Believe me, I won't wait up.
[As soon as J.R. walks away, Amanda picks up her cell phone and makes an urgent call.]
Amanda: Jamie, hey.
Jamie: Amanda. What's going on?
Amanda: I -- I'm ok. I think I am.
Jamie: What do you mean, you think you're ok?
Amanda: Well, I'm pretty sure he's gone now.
Jamie: You think who's gone?
Amanda: J.R. I think I lost him running down the beach.
Jamie: Now, what did he do to you?
Amanda: I'm ok. I lost him. I think I'm just going to walk home now. I just got scared for a minute.
Jamie: Get out of plain sight, but stay near the lifeguard tower. I'm on my way.
Babe: I told her about Dixie. And I swear, Tad, I never thought in a million years that you would actually find her.
Tad: Join the club. How did Krystal take the news?
Babe: She said that -- that she hopes that you find her, and that she's happy for you.
Tad: Yeah. That sounds like Krystal.
Babe: No. She is just being brave. That is not her. That's what she does when the world goes against her. I know what's in her heart, Tad. And you really aren't just some fling. You're the love of her life. So if Dixie’s alive, you tell me, what does Mama have to look forward to? How am I supposed to help her find a new dream?
Tad: You know, I've been wondering the same thing -- how am I going to help Jamie find his new dream?
Jamie: Amanda? You ok?
Amanda: Ok? I'm wonderful. Check out the moon on the water.
Jamie: What happened with J.R.?
Amanda: Oh, you know how he is. He has all this money, he thinks he can get whatever he wants. But I was too fast for him. I wouldn't have sex with him. I'd only have sex with someone like you. Oh.
Maria: There's just too much that has happened, and Zach and I are beyond trying.
Erica: Nonsense. Maria, there is always hope.
Maria: Edmund is dead, Erica.
Erica: Yes. And are you still going to let Edmund come between you and Zach? Or are you going to fight for the man you love, the way any self-respecting woman would?
Maria: But it's not just about me. It's about my kids, and they hate me right now, and understandably, because I've humiliated them, and I've embarrassed them, and I just -- I got to get myself together, and I've got to make it about those kids right now and make it up to them.
Erica: I understand. I really do. I mean, I care about my children, too. That's why I'm here.
Maria: Yeah, but Kendall’s an adult -- misguided, but she's an adult, and you can't control her life right now.
Erica: And smothering your children with attention and affection isn't going to change your feelings for Zach either. Trust me. Children adjust. They move on. When Bianca first saw Jack kiss me, she got so angry that she set her dolls on fire and burned the house down, and what did I do? I broke up with Jack, because my child was so unhappy, and yet look at us now. Bianca just flew in from Paris to be in our wedding.
Maria: Our situations are nothing alike.
Erica: I don't agree. We both pushed aside the men we love for our children's sake, and we both know that love is worth fighting for. And the harder the battle, the sweeter the reward. Trust me, please, Maria. I really, truly have found the ultimate happiness now.
Maria: Look, I know you're on a poetic roll and all, but, Erica, you are not nor will you ever be a role model for me.
[Maria opens the front door for Erica.]
Maria: Thanks for stopping by. Don't make it a habit.
Erica: You are making everyone's life miserable, Maria, and you are going to find yourself alone. Is that what you want, Maria? To be alone for the rest of your life?
Zach: In my vast experience, love is no more real than a win at the tables. It's a moment of magic, and you're at the top of the world, and you decide to roll the dice one more time. And just like that, it's gone.
Kendall: So that's it? You're just going to give up on the game?
Zach: I asked you a question, ok?
Kendall: Listen, Zach, I can talk to Maria --
Zach: Can you sign the papers, please?
Kendall: I can sign them tomorrow, yes.
Kendall: It's a little late for a page. Anything important?
[Zach’s text message reads: “Meet me room 17 Pine Cone. Have to see you. M.”
J.R.: Kendall's not home. Oh. Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. I've just been waiting for her myself.
Erica: Well, we could always knock on Zach’s door.
J.R.: I already did. Either they're inside celebrating, or the happy couple bought themselves a new home.
Erica: Oh, over my dead body on both counts. Well, this is terrible. My daughter is at the mercy of a Cambias yet again.
J.R.: Hmm. I've had about enough of the Cambias crew myself. After Zach recouped Cambias Industries, the new Mrs. Slater said that she was going to help me get Chandler Enterprises back. Then Zach did the bait-and-switch. Now he's not suing Ethan after all. Not only does that royally screw me, but now Kendall can't look after Miranda and Bianca’s best interests, and that was half the reason why she got married in the first place.
Erica: I had no idea.
J.R.: Yeah, well, you know, I guess I'll survive. I just wish that there was something I could do. I'm really crazy about that girl.
Erica: Exactly how crazy?
Amanda: Oops. Did I make a boo-boo? I meant it as a compliment, really. It must be awesome to have sex with you.
Jamie: Have you been drinking tonight?
Amanda: Of course not.
Jamie: There's something off with you.
Amanda: Don't believe me? Smell my breath. What's wrong? You don't like me this way?
Jamie: I like you just fine. It's -- you're not yourself.
Amanda: Hmm. You're going to medical school one day, Jamie. Maybe you can come up with a diagnosis. Examine me, doctor.
[Amanda drops her towel and stands there stark naked.]
Babe: What, you think that Jamie should take Phoebe's money and dump me?
Tad: I didn't say that, ok? What you heard me say was I'm going to back up my son no matter what he decides. But if he loves you the way I love Dixie, he's never going to give you up.
Babe: The way you love Dixie. What about Mama?
Tad: I'm not going to abandon her in that cell. I'll always care for Krystal, no matter what happens with Dixie.
Babe: There's that word again -- "care." It's so nice, so lame, so vague. You know what, Tad? Why don't you just not hurt yourself caring. I'll watch out for Mama myself.
Aidan: Whew! Is it safe to come in?
Tad: I don't know, but she's gone.
Aidan: Listen, Tad, I got something that might make you smile again.
Tad: You found a print?
Aidan: A real beauty. We're ready to go.
J.R. Come on, Erica. You don't want me to throw my heart out on the ground here, do you?
Erica: Please. You know I really want to know. How much do you care about Kendall?
J.R.: Well, it's really no secret. I've had a crush on her since I was a kid.
Erica: And now?
J.R.: And now I'm sure that I care about her a hell of a lot more than Slater does.
Erica: Is that why you're here? To check up on her?
J.R.: Yeah, well, you know, it bums me out to see her hurting.
Erica: Kendall is hurting, isn't she?
J.R.: It was bad enough that she was engaged to Ethan. But now she's married to Zach? I hate the guy for talking her into it.
Erica: You know, I wonder -- no, I can't ask you to do that.
J.R.: What? Look, you testified at my custody suit. I owe you bigtime. You can ask me anything.
Erica: I wonder if you could help me help Kendall, and maybe I could help you, too.
Lily: Hi, Kendall.
Kendall: Hey, Lily. What are you doing out here?
Lily: I'm looking for Greenlee.
Kendall: I think she left a long time ago.
Lily: I was afraid you'd say that.
Kendall: What are you doing up so late?
Lily: I couldn't sleep. I need to talk to someone, and I wanted to talk to my new mom, but she's not home yet, so Reggie brought me here.
Kendall: Well, why isn't Reggie helping you?
Lily: Because I need boyfriend advice. Can you help me?
Kendall: Ooh -- I'm not really the right one to give advice on boyfriends.
Lily: But you gave me advice last time when we were in the cave. Have you had more than seven boyfriends?
Kendall: You know what, Lily? Maybe I will help you with your problem, ok? Let's give it a shot.
Lily: Ok, well, my boyfriend, Sam, is mad at me, because I told him some really nice things about a guy that he really doesn't like at all, and I don't want Sam to be mad at me, because he's the only boy I like kissing. Actually, he's the only boy I've ever kissed, but, still, I like it.
Kendall: It seems like there's always one guy whose kisses make your knees weak, whose kisses matter.
Lily: And that's the person you marry, right?
[Finding the door to the motel's room 17 open, Zach walks in, turns on the lights, and looks around.]
Erica: Really, you should steal Kendall away for yourself. You should break up that sorry excuse for a marriage.
J.R.: Oh, well, I'd love to, but, you know, she's in one of her phases.
Erica: Now, Kendall is only sick of love until the next -- until the right man comes along.
J.R.: I'll tell you what, Erica. If you're really behind me, I'll go for it.
Erica: Go. Full speed ahead. I'll speak to Bianca. I'm sure she's the only one who has any influence on Ethan. I'll get Chandler Enterprises back for you.
J.R.: Well, you're going to have a battle with Bianca. You know, she's not one of my biggest fans.
Erica: I'll do whatever it takes to get you what you want. And I trust that you'll do the same for me?
Kendall: You know, our parents did it right. Marrying for love is definitely the way to go. Don't you ever forget that, ok?
Lily: Everyone always says don't forget, but everyone forgets sometimes. Did you know that 95% of daily memory loss is due to stress?
Kendall: Oh, my God. It's a wonder I remember my own name.
Lily: Shouldn't you be having sex with Zach Slater by now?
Kendall: You know, it's much more important that I'm a good sister to you right now. Yeah.
Lily: I'm glad you're my sister, too. Do you miss Bianca? I do.
Kendall: Yeah, I do, more than you know. Binks is -- she was really good at giving advice.
Lily: Even about boyfriends?
Kendall: She knows how to be a better girlfriend than I do.
Lily: I wish she was here.
Kendall: Yeah, me, too. You know what? I have a great idea. Since you and I both miss Bianca so much, maybe we can work on being closer sisters to each other.
Lily: I'd like that. We can save boys like Sam and Zach for later.
Kendall: Exactly. Good idea.
Sam: What are you doing at Maddie's computer?
Maria: Did you call Lily? Because she thinks you're mad at her.
Sam: No. I'm mad at you.
Maria: Yeah, I know. I tried to tell her that, but she wasn't convinced.
Sam: So now you're going through our stuff?
Maria: I'm trying to protect my daughter, because you hear on the news all the time about how these young girls get on the Internet, and they get into a lot of trouble. You know what her e-mail password is?
Sam: Oh, no, forget it.
Maria: Ok, ok, look. If you don't want to tell me, you don't have to tell me, but will you at least look at it yourself? I know you hate me and all that, but I know you love your sister, and I know you wouldn't want to see her get hurt. Please?
Sam: You better look at this.
Maria: Oh, my God.
Maddie: In the flesh.
Zach: What are you doing here? Where's your mom?
Maddie: You still want my mother, don't you?
Zach: Someone try to hurt you?
Maddie: Mm-hmm -- you. Help me, please! Someone, please help me! Help me, please! He's hurting me! Hurry! Somebody, please hurry! Help me!
Amanda: I'm not cold.
Jamie: That's great, but I'm taking you home, and not buck-naked.
Amanda: I don't want to go anywhere -- oh -- nowhere but here.
Aidan: Now, this might not prove anything, Tad.
Tad: Or it could prove everything.
Aidan: So are you ready to find out which?
Tad: I don't know. Do it anyway.
[On the laptop, Aidan compares fingerprints.]
Tad: It's her. It's Dixie.
>> On the next "All My Children" –
Ryan (to Greenlee): Just tell me that you can get past this.
Maddie (to Maria): He tricked me into coming here, so he could attack me.
J.R.: Just tell me, Kendall, that we haven't tanked the two of us.
Amanda (to Jamie): I'm hot. You're hot. We've got a free pass.
