All My Children Transcript Tuesday 3/22/05
Proofread by Gisele
Babe: Ok, so understand it's going to be red, and then there's going to be these flames shooting down the side.
Jamie: One very hot wagon.
Babe: And it's going to be the best first birthday present our little boy is going to get.
David: It looks great. Look, do me a favor -- give this to him for me, will you?
Babe: Sure, I will.
Jamie: What is it?
David: Chemistry set. Just kidding. It's perfectly safe and age-appropriate. It's a stuffed dinosaur.
[Knock on door]
Babe: To match his granddad Adam, huh?
David: Well --
Babe: Why don't you grab a brush. Dig in, Dad.
Man: Arabella Carey?
Man: This is for you.
Babe: Thank you. It's from J.R.ís lawyers. This had better not be -- they can't do this to me!
J.R.: The best present hasn't even arrived.
Adam: Having it delivered?
J.R.: Well, yeah, as a matter of fact, to Babe. My attorney found some wording in the custody ruling -- ambiguous.
Adam: The day before little Adam's birthday party?
J.R.: Yeah. He notified poor Babe that she can't party with us at all. Isn't that a kick in her head?
Adam: J.R., you can't do that. Call Babe, tell her she can come.
Erica: Zach Slater didn't kill Edmund.
Maria: Yes, he did. He admitted it.
Erica: No, he didn't do it. Ethan? It's time you admit you lied. You didn't see your father murder anyone. Go on. Tell the truth.
Kendall: Mother, stop this. Look, please, you shouldn't even be here.
Erica: Kendall, please, you will thank me for telling the truth.
Kendall: Come on, come on.
Ethan: No, no, no. It's ok. Erica and I, we're not finished yet.
Jonathan: Get away from me! Get away from me!
Ryan: Hockett, take it easy. It's me. It's Ryan. It's Ryan. Hey.
Jonathan: Braden, Ryan -- Braden was here. He was just here, Ryan. He was just here!
Babe: "Tomorrow's visitation to be postponed until we can meet with your attorneys to discuss this matter"?
Jamie: What matter?
David: Call my attorney, check out your options.
Babe: He can't get away with this! I will rip him to shreds!
Jamie: We can't do that.
Babe: Oh, but I can.
Jamie: You'll just give him what he wants. If we attack J.R. --
David: He'll have you arrested.
Jamie: And then who wins?
Babe: I was supposed to watch my little boy blow out his one birthday candle and watch him open up presents.
David: And you will. Just leave it to me.
Jamie: Now, don't make matters worse.
David: I won't. Look, just try to relax and don't worry, ok? All I need is a little time to fix this.
Babe: God, what are we -- no, you know what I would like to do? I would like to take that turpentine and I would like to just pour it into J.R.ís tighty whiteys and toss in a lit match.
Jamie: Now, that's a plan. It'd be worth a stint in jail, except James wouldn't get his gift tomorrow. We're all sanded and ready to paint.
J.R.: So suddenly you just want to give Babe the red-carpet treatment?
Adam: No, no, of course not. But to cut her out of little Adam's party --
J.R.: I want to enjoy it.
Adam: Well, I don't enjoy hemorrhaging funds for legal fees.
J.R.: To keep that piece of trash away from my son is worth any amount of money.
Adam: You're postponing the inevitable. There's no payoff.
J.R.: It's killing Babe.
Adam: No, no, it's making Babe and anyone who's close to her angrier.
J.R.: Well, good. They can't hurt me.
Adam: They haven't yet. But you're making them more and more determined to try to find a way. Babe only has three hours a week with little Adam.
J.R.: And she'll get them. But not tomorrow, not on his birthday.
Adam: Yeah, Adam Chandler here.
David: You listen to me, you sorry, pathetic old fossil, we had a deal.
Adam: Yes, that's correct.
David: Then how come Babe has been cut out of her son's birthday?
Adam: That was a unilateral decision.
David: Well, hear this, Adam -- if my daughter can't celebrate her son's birthday, I'm not going to lift a finger to find your child.
Adam: I assure you I am committed to moving forward with this.
David: Then fix it, damn it. Or so help me, Adam, not only will Liza and Colby live happily ever after, but I will tell J.R. all about our deal.
Adam: That won't be necessary.
David: You think he freaked out when he found out that you went behind his back with Erica on that DNA test? This will ruin your relationship with him for good.
Adam: I'll take care of it and get back to you.
David: I'd better hear from you by tonight.
Adam: I'm fully aware of the terms. Good-bye.
J.R.: Who was that?
Adam: Business. Nothing.
J.R.: Well, it certainly didn't sound like nothing. What are you hiding from me?
Jonathan: Did you find him? Ryan, he's out there.
Ryan: Security's on it. Security's on top of this. They have a man at every exit.
Jonathan: Braden's crazed, Ryan. He's mad like I've never seen him. He's worse than when he stabbed me. You got to find him. Ryan, he thought he was going to come finish me off. He said -- he said he wasn't. It was you he's after.
Ryan: Hey, it's ok, it's ok. Everything's going to be all right, Jonathan. Everything is going to be all right.
Jonathan: The bomb. The bomb Braden told me --
Ryan: No, no, no, it didn't go off, Jonathan. It didn't go off. We got everybody out of the chapel. The bomb squad defused it. It's going to be ok. Nobody got hurt.
Jonathan: Thank God. Thank God. Ryan, you've got to stop Braden. You've got to find him.
Ryan: We will. Braden's not going to hurt anybody else.
Jonathan: It's my fault. This is all my fault he's here.
Ryan: Hey -- tell me what happened between you and Braden in the Valley Inn. What happened?
Jonathan: He came to taunt me. He laughed at you and me. Braden sounds exactly like Dad when he laughs.
Ryan: Jonathan, just tell me what he said.
Jonathan: He said that he was going to fix it so that Greenlee and a lot of sanctimonious fools were going to be blown to bits. He didn't care how many died. Braden was going to turn Edmund Grey's funeral into a mass burial. I couldn't stand it. I couldn't listen to any more. I rushed him. Braden hit me hard in the gut. And it wasn't until I saw the blood that I realized he had a knife. That's all I remember. I'm sorry, Ryan.
Jonathan: I'm so sorry.
Ryan: It's ok. It's ok. I'm just glad that you're alive.
Jonathan: I couldn't stop him. I couldn't stop him. I'm sorry.
Ryan: You did good. You told us about the bomb. You saved so many people. You saved so many people.
Jonathan: Braden's still out there.
Ryan: Not for long he's not.
Jonathan: I can't be in here, Ryan. I can't be in here. I got to be with you. I got to be by your side. Ryan, we have to face Braden together.
Ethan: I don't know where you got your misinformation from --
Kendall: Ethan, you don't have to defend yourself, ok? I know you didn't lie. Everyone else knows it, too.
Erica: Kendall, please don't be naive.
Ethan: It's all right. I saw Zach Slater pick up a shovel and --
Ethan: I'm sorry. My father murdered Edmund in cold blood.
Erica: Do you even know why you're lying? Because, everyone, he is lying!
Maria: Did Lily say something else?
Erica: Leave Lily out of this.
Maria: Ok, so this is your own wacko idea? Haven't we been through enough today, Erica?
Jack: Let's discuss this at home, shall we?
Erica: Maria, really, why aren't you happy to learn that your lover didn't murder Edmund?
Jack: Some other time.
Maria: This is really fun for you, isn't it? This is fun for you. The bomb didn't go off, so you've got to come in here and drop your own? Would you please get out of here?
Jack: I'll explain it to you on the way home.
Kendall: Yeah, good idea.
Erica: No, I -- Zach Slater just confirmed what I suspected. He's innocent!
Maria: Yeah, so he just suddenly confessed that his confession was a lie. You don't see that maybe today, of all days, he'd want you to come racing right down here and mess with my head? Good God, how stupid can you be?
Erica: Not nearly as stupid as you.
Myrtle: My, my. You look positively Shakespearean. What are you, the tragic hero or the fool?
Erica: Zach is not using me. I did not play into Zachís hands.
Maria: Thank God Sam and Maddie are not here for this.
Erica: Oh, that is really bizarre, even for you.
Jack: I want to have a word with you.
Erica: No, I'm not finished.
Jack: Yes, you are. Let's go.
Erica: Jack --
Jack: What are you trying to do in there?
Erica: What are you talking about? I am bringing you the truth.
Jack: Well, I just hope the truth isn't that Zach got you to do exactly what he wanted you to do -- upset Maria.
Erica: Are you kidding me? Do you really think that I would come over here solely on Zachís word? Lily told me more about what happened.
Jack: Lily? Lily didn't see anything, Erica. What could she possibly have said?
Erica: I asked Lily if she saw Zach Slater kill Edmund, and she was able to communicate to me that she did not. Please, Jack, please trust me on this. Derek has the wrong man in jail. Zach Slater did not murder Edmund, which means that Ethan is lying. He's railroading his father, and Kendall is buying that story totally, and Lily is in tremendous danger.
Kendall: My mother has it in for you and Maria. She just couldn't resist sticking it to both of you at the same time.
Ethan: Don't worry, nobody bought it.
Kendall: Yeah, well, it was humiliating.
Ethan: Yeah, for Erica maybe.
Kendall: Yeah, well, I hope Jack drags her home and reads her the riot act.
Ethan: Zach filled her full of lies, he pointed her in the direction of the funeral. My father has quite the gift for fooling women.
Zach: Hi. Shouldn't you be at Edmund's funeral?
Myrtle: Let's talk about where you should be.
Zach: Oh, what do you think? Up the river, burning in hell? Which one?
Myrtle: Innocent men don't end up in jail.
Zach: You're crazy.
Myrtle: You're a liar.
Zach: Let me tell you something --
Myrtle: Oh, save your breath. The word's out. You did not kill Edmund.
Zach: Who fed you that -- Erica?
Myrtle: Yep. She's at Wildwind, spreading the news around town.
Zach: During the funeral?
Myrtle: She gate-crashed and she announced that you had been wrongly accused, and she stunned all the folk, most of all Maria.
Tad: So, think things could possibly get any worse?
Maria: Well, my son just publicly denounced me and my daughter won't even speak to me and then a bomb almost wiped everybody out and Erica came in here and unleashed her madness. So, no, I don't think it could get any worse. You know what? I didn't say that out loud, because I don't want to know if it can get worse.
Jack: I will decide where I stand on Zachís guilt after I've talked to Lily, ok?
Aidan: My top priority is to take care of Lily, all right? She'll be ok, no more screw-ups.
Jack: I just need to know that my daughter's all right. Greenlee -- where's Greenlee?
Erica: Well, she was just here.
Jack: No, I need to know where she is now. Damn. Greenlee!
Ryan: Security is on top of it.
Jonathan: No, no. What do we do next?
Ryan: What do we do?
Jonathan: How we trap him?
Ryan: You rest. I will handle this.
Ryan: I'm going to take care of you, Jonathan. This is not like when I left you with Dad. I'm with you.
Jonathan: Ryan, I'll be ok. I got you.
Tad: You know, now that I think about it, you may want to change the outgoing message on the machine. I'm not allowed to practice now that J.R.ís had my license pulled.
Aidan: Oh, you'll get it back, don't worry about that. Anyway, in the meantime, our deal still stands. We're partners, 50/50.
Tad: All right, then, partner, let's get down to it. Erica's little pronouncement didn't exactly surprise you, did it?
Aidan: The time and place maybe, but the content made sense.
Tad: Hey! Look at this! Adam got our message.
Aidan: You know, it's almost fun tormenting him, isn't it?
Tad: You have no idea. Unfortunately, it's not about tormenting Adam. It's about protecting Liza and Colby.
Adam: J.R., son, stop focusing on all of these hidden plots. I despise Babe and Krystal just as much as you do. But it's time to refocus your energy.
J.R.: So you expect me to forgive that tramp and her slut of a mother? No! If I back off now, I'm going to give them the opportunity to regroup. I have to keep the punishment coming. I have to pile it on until Babe and Jamie and Krystal break. That is if she ever gets out of solitary.
Adam: We have to put little Adam first.
J.R.: I am putting him first.
Adam: Well, what is little Adam going to have if we don't reclaim Chandler Enterprises? So buy it, steal it, I don't care, but that should be our focus.
J.R.: Then Iíll take little Adam to the office. I can do business and ruin Babe and Jamie at the same time. I'll teach little Adam how to multitask from the very best.
Adam: You ask a lot of yourself.
J.R.: That I can handle. But what about you? How am I going to take care of you?
Babe: Hey. What did you do?
David: Oh, no, it was simple. I just called J.R.ís attorneys.
Jamie: You didn't have to leave for that.
David: Well, I thought that I would spare Babe the call. Hey, look at this! It looks great. You know, every little boy should have a red wagon.
Babe: And every little girl, too. You know, Colby had one in New Orleans.
Jamie: Yeah, she pulled her stuffed animals all the way around Jackson Square.
Babe: Was she not so ridiculously cute or what?
David: So now Colbyís pulling her red wagon wherever their new home is.
Babe: Oh, I highly doubt the wagon made it. They had to move in a hurry.
David: You know, you never really talk much about that time.
Jamie: What's to talk about?
Babe: How crazy is it to think that we could be in Argentina right now?
David: Argentina? You mean if you went with Liza?
Babe: No, Argentina was our plan. Tad had something else in mind for Liza.
Kendall: Mother, what possessed you?
Erica: I love you, Kendall. You're my daughter. I don't want to see you harmed by a dangerous liar.
Kendall: You know, you couldn't resist the chance to call him out in front of everyone and try to break us up.
Erica: Oh, come on, Kendall, why are you being so impossible about this?
Kendall: Because --
Erica: You know exactly where Ethan is coming from and what he's doing to his father because you did exactly the same thing to me.
Greenlee: How is he?
Ryan: He's -- well, he's terrified, but security is on it.
Greenlee: So Jonathan's in good hands? Guess who booked two first-class seats to Italy?
Ryan: Greenlee, I can't go.
Greenlee: Jonathan's protected.
Ryan: You should go.
Greenlee: I'll shop Rome and Milan dry while you dodge bullets in Pine Valley. Fun!
Ryan: No, no, that's not the plan.
Greenlee: Yeah, well, plans have a way of going wrong.
Ryan: Wait, Jack is supposed to be with you.
Greenlee: I gave him the slip. I'm not some kid that needs to be left in Daddy's care.
Ryan: No, I don't think that you are, Greenlee, but I just can't worry about you every second, wondering if you're safe.
Greenlee: What are you going to do?
Ryan: Whatever I have to.
Greenlee: "It all started with the murder game. Remember, Ryan? Let's play again. This time I'll win." You're going to die.
Kendall: I asked Ethan if he was after revenge the same way that I was.
Erica: And he denied it. And you just simply accept that?
Kendall: No, Mother, Ethan swore on his love for me that he was telling the truth.
Erica: Oh. This is just unforgivable. Kendall, please, just wake up. Just see Ethan for the man he is.
Kendall: Ethan loves me.
Erica: Well, why wouldn't he? I mean, you are just a remarkable woman.
Kendall: Well, I love him.
Erica: You can't. You don't even know him.
Kendall: No, I do know that Ethan's a good man. Will you just stop trying to ruin our life?
Erica: Look, I don't give a damn about Ethan's life, but I will do everything I can to save yours. Please, please just wake up from the illusions of what you want Ethan to be.
Kendall: What, you think I'm taken over by Ethan's spell? Come on, Mother, take a look at yourself. You're the one who's falling for all of Zachís lies, his whole thing against Ethan. Zach can't do his dirty work in jail, so he's manipulated you into doing it for him. It's pathetic and disgusting.
Erica: Oh, you know what's pathetic? What's pathetic is your blind need to be loved.
Maria: You know, there's no love lost between Zach and Erica. I don't understand. Why would she even want to believe that he's innocent?
Ethan: No, she wants to believe that I'm guilty. And making you feel uncomfortable -- that's just an added bonus.
Maria: Ok, so either she knows he's lying and she just doesn't care because she wants to come in here and torture us or she's --
Ethan: Or -- or my father duped her into being his mouthpiece at your husband's funeral.
Zach: Couldn't get Maria, so I killed her husband. It's an old story, but a popular one.
Myrtle: There's no excuse for playing along with it.
Zach: You want to know why I didn't shout my innocence.
Myrtle: I don't give a damn why. All your reasons were wrong!
Zach: Your honesty is always refreshing, Mrs. Fargate.
Myrtle: Well, I'll give you another helping. While you have been starring here in this epic "The Wronged Man," the right man is out there on the loose, the man who killed Edmund.
Zach: I didn't see who killed Edmund.
Myrtle: And if you're trying --
Zach: I didn't see it. I was unconscious.
Myrtle: But you have an idea who it was?
Zach: I do. And the police should already have him in their sights.
Aidan: Zach Slater is capable of murder, but he wouldn't kill Edmund to get back at Maria, and that's the only reason he has left.
Tad: I agree. So why would Zach confess to doing it?
Aidan: I don't know. I haven't worked that out yet. Kind of throws me for a loop.
Tad: What if it was some kind of fake-out? I mean, if Ethan really was intent on payback, maybe Zach was waiting for something to pop.
Aidan: Yeah, we'll nail that down later. Greenlee's poisoner -- do you think Zach did it?
Tad: Definitely not. And here's something else to roll around the back of your mind -- why would Zach want to see Ryan shot during the murder game?
Aidan: To grab back the Cambias fortune and give it to his son.
Tad: No. Doesn't add up. He was trying to deny his son, not embrace him. No, if Zach is a killer, this whole jilted-lover thing with Edmund and Maria makes more sense than anything.
Aidan: But not enough.
Tad: Maybe. I mean, you got to remember, Ryan almost died. Edmund was determined to see Zach lynched as an attempted murderer.
Aidan: So wait, wait, Zach pops Edmund off, admits to all three crimes. Why would he do that? Because he wants to spend life in prison rather than 20 years?
Tad: [British accent] All right, Holmes. What's your theory?
Aidan: Last summer on his cell, Edmund overhears part of a stranger's call.
Tad: [Normal voice] Yeah, that's right, something about a guy coming to Pine Valley to kill someone.
Aidan: Right, now fast-forward to the murder game. Bobby claims that he saw the shooter, right? Now, suppose he really did. But Bobby's cash-hungry. Instead of going to the police, he blackmails the shooter.
Tad: Could work.
Aidan: But Bobby's an idiot. He's a greedy idiot.
Tad: So he pushes for more money.
Aidan: Exactly, and gets himself beaten up instead.
Tad: So he turns tail and leaves town.
Aidan: Edmund finds Bobby's cell phone, makes a call, finds himself on the phone with the shooter, recognizes the voice. I know what you're thinking.
Tad: Oh, come on! He recognizes the voice based on a snippet of conversation he heard six months before?
Aidan: Yep, could happen. Then he sets up a meeting and he expects this guy to admit and swear that Zach hired him to whack Ryan.
Tad: Ok. So?
Aidan: So why would a wannabe killer want to meet up with Edmund and confirm his own guilt?
Tad: For the same reason that Bobby would want to meet with a wannabe killer -- for a big, fat payday.
Aidan: Yeah, but you wouldn't trade your freedom for cash, would you?
Tad: So the shooter shows up at this meeting for Edmund, not expecting to spill his guts?
Aidan: Expects to spill Edmund's, to kill Edmund so that Edmund can't expose him.
Tad: Huh. Well, if he wanted to kill Edmund, he'd have to get the drop on him.
Aidan: Why not go pay Edmund a visit right before the scheduled meeting?
Tad: So he scopes it out the night before, does the deed, lights a fire to cover his tracks. That's not bad, fish and chips. Got any idea who our mystery man is?
Aidan: Yeah. Braden Lavery.
Ryan: I don't want you to be afraid.
Greenlee: Then let's go home and pack for Europe.
Ryan: I can handle Braden, Greenlee. If I don't end this, it's going to be hanging over us forever, and I can't live like that. Please say something.
Greenlee: Why? Nothing I say matters.
Ryan: Yes, it does.
Greenlee: No, your mind is set on doing what you want. What I feel is my tough luck.
Ryan: Greenlee, I'm doing this for us.
Greenlee: You say you don't want to live with the threat of Braden out there, waiting for him to do something. What can I say? I just want us both to live, period. I want you alive and with me, so I offer you Italy and you say no. So what should I do, pitch a fit, throw my wedding ring at you, what, threaten divorce? Why waste my time?
Ryan: Greenlee, you know that I have to end this.
Greenlee: But I have a feeling deep in my heart. It's like a cold, sharp pain.
Ryan: It's going to be ok.
Greenlee: You could join Leo. That's what I feel. I could be a widow again, and if that happens, I will hate you, Ryan. I will completely and totally hate you.
David: J.R.ís attorneys are going to get back to me tonight. Trust me, tomorrow you're going to be pulling your son in his new red wagon.
Jamie: Too bad we can't have the party over here.
Babe: I know. I just hate that you guys can't go with me.
Jamie: I hate that he's living with J.R.
Babe: Yeah, and Adam. Talk about a whole bunch of nasty.
Jamie: You've got three hours a week to counteract it.
David: It must be some consolation that Adam's suffering.
Babe: Suffering how?
David: Well, he has J.R., he has his grandson, but he doesn't have his daughter. You got to know that's killing Adam.
Babe: You know, if I never thought of that man or heard his name again, I'd be a lot happier.
David: And you think that Tad actually managed to settle Liza where Adam would never think of looking?
Jamie: My dad took care of it. Don't worry.
Babe: Ok, well, it is time for the name. Dad, why don't you do the honors?
Babe: Well, yeah, you got the steadiest hands in the group. You can do whatever you want. It's you choice -- "Little Adam," "Adam III."
David: Oh, Babe, I can't write that.
Babe: My son's name is Adam. And like it or not, that's what we're going to have to call him. Adam's in for a whole bunch of confusion. I'm not going to add to it.
J.R.: Well, here's a lesson. If a Chandler says that revenge is a waste of time, he's obviously got his own plot going or he's slipping into senility.
Adam: Or he's just tired of dealing with worthless nobodies like Krystal, Babe, and Jamie martin. When are you going to savor your victory? Tomorrow, little Adam's first birthday, should be a joyous occasion.
J.R.: It will be.
Adam: J.R., I shortchanged you, and I'm sorry. But I don't want that to happen to little Adam. Give Babe a few hours with him tomorrow. And after that, we can have the real party. I'm not talking about surrender here. I'm talking about mounting your offensive, thinking it through very carefully, choosing your battles. Believe me, this one is not worth fighting. I'm not a patient man.
Tad: Well, if Braden is the killer, it would certainly tie up a lot of loose ends.
Aidan: His fingerprints were all over that bomb, Tad, which is more proof that I'm right.
Tad: Yeah. Whoever planted it had to have scoped out Wildwind pretty well.
Aidan: Which he'd have done prior to killing Edmund.
Tad: So all we got to do is find Braden. Any more brilliant ideas?
Aidan: Yeah. We stick close to Ryan, Braden's bound to show up.
Tad: Huh. More like open fire.
Ryan: I don't want to leave it like this.
Greenlee: Well, what would make it better for you? If I say I'm behind this insanity 100%? I tried. I'm not. So I should make a good show of it, be the good, supportive wife, give you my blessing? I'm not going to bless something that'll take you away from me.
Ryan: Nothing will take me away from you.
Greenlee: We both know that's not true. Been there, done that, mourned one husband already.
Ryan: I will come back to you. You have to believe that.
Greenlee: I want to. But even if you do survive, this isn't some random hunting trip. You're going after your older brother, the brother that wants us both dead. You think that won't change you?
Ryan: It won't change what you and I have. It's not going to change us. We will be the same.
Kendall: Ok, good-bye, Mother.
Erica: No, please. You're caught in this Cambias curse.
Kendall: "This Cambias curse," the Cambias curse. That is Zachís lame excuse for torturing Ethan and taking away his inheritance.
Erica: No, really, it is some sick and twisted Cambias tradition where fathers and sons try to annihilate each other. First it was Zach and his father, and now it's Ethan and Zach. It's a fight for domination. It's a fight to the death.
Kendall: And you've sided with Zach.
Erica: Look, I don't care if they destroy each other, but I'll be damned if they destroy you.
Kendall: No, you prefer to do that yourself.
Erica: Kendall, please believe me. I only want what's best for you.
Kendall: No, there is only one person I believe, Mother. It's not Zach, and it sure as hell isn't you.
Ethan: Zachís not going to win, Maria. I'll see to it. I swear, I'm going to put that man away for good.
J.R.: It doesn't matter why. Just do it. Babe will get her three hours tomorrow.
Adam: And it will be a much more pleasant day for all of us.
J.R.: If she tries anything funny, if she goes over her time by one minute, I will deduct it from next week's visit.
Adam: I'll be watching the clock myself.
J.R.: We're having a party tomorrow, and guess who's the guest of honor. You. And all these presents? That's just the beginning. Because we're going to have a celebration that is fit for a king -- or a Chandler heir. Same difference. Yeah.
Adam: Hayward? All right, it's all set. Babe's visit tomorrow is back on.
David: It's all set. Tomorrow, you're going to be watching your son blow out his one candle on his cake.
Babe: Oh, thank you so, so much! Honestly, you're the best granddad little Adam could ever have.
Jamie: Yeah, thanks for whatever you did.
David: Just remember every detail and fill me in, ok?
Babe: I promise, and I'll take tons of pictures.
David: And I'm going to frame every single one of them. I'll see you, honey.
Babe: Love you.
David: I love you.
Babe: Oh! This is awesome. He'll like it, right? I mean, I know it is kind of old and it's used, but --
Jamie: Yeah, but with all the love and caring you put into it, you made it better than brand-new. Little Adam is the luckiest little boy in the world to have a mom like you.
Babe: I just wish more than anything he could've kept your name. But you know what, we lost that battle and he's Adam.
Jamie: Adam Martin. Well, it could happen.
Babe: Wouldn't that be something?
Jamie: Meanwhile, all that matters is that we love him and, no matter what, he always calls you "Mama."
Babe: I love you.
Jamie: I love you, too.
Babe: Come here.
Myrtle: Well, get yourself sprung already.
Zach: Have you heard from Bianca?
Myrtle: Oh, yes.
Zach: It's Mirandaís birthday tomorrow.
Myrtle: Yes, she's loving it over there.
Zach: Good. She deserves some happiness.
Myrtle: Yeah. She was heartbroken when Edmund was killed, but when I tell her that you are not guilty, that'll be like a tonic to her. I'm glad, too.
Maria: Erica, you are trespassing. Don't make me call the police.
Erica: Fine, Maria, Iíll go. But just know that not believing me could be the biggest mistake of your life.
Kendall: Maria, I'm -- I'm so sorry.
Maria: No, it's not your fault that Erica's Erica. What a day.
Kendall: Ok, you know what, we're going to give you some alone time, ok?
Ethan: Yeah, absolutely. Listen, if you need anything at all, I mean it, just give me a call, ok?
Maria: Thank you. Thanks. Thanks, you guys.
Jack: Greenlee, please, with everything that's going on, don't be playing hide-and-seek with me, please.
Greenlee: Let's just go home.
Ryan: Take care of her until I get back. I have to settle things. I have to settle things with Braden. I'm not going to let anything happen to you or Greenlee. Nothing.
[Knock on door]
Man: Excuse me.
Ryan: Hey, what's this?
Man: Ryan Lavery?
Ryan: Yeah, that's me.
Man: Never delivered to a hospital before.
Ryan: "First clue. 'As it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end.' The game begins. Braden."
>> On the next "All My Children"...
Maddie: I'm taking off with Sam.
Sam: The funeral's over. There's nothing left to keep me here.
Simone to Tad: I need you, desperately.
Greenlee: Do I smell a plot forming? Why can't you just let anyone be happy, Erica?
Babe: My son, where is he?
Winifred: They took him to the hospital.
J.R.: My son needs a doctor right away!
