All My Children Transcript Monday 9/13/04

Erica: Kendall, you're exhausted. This isn't helping Ryan.
Jack: Well, your mother's right about that.
Erica: Come on, why don't you just let me take you home, all right? Jack will call whenever he finds out if anything's changed.
Kendall: No, no, no, no. I'm not leaving this hospital until I know Ryan's all right.
Greenlee: You'll leave. I just called the police. They're coming to take you to jail for attempted murder.
Krystal: You want to marry me?
Tad: I do. Maybe it's your line. Believe me, this is one of the few times in history that the proposer is just as shocked or surprised as the propose-ee.
Krystal: And you mean it? I mean, you're not --
Tad: Joking? No, my sense of humor isn't that highly evolved. Trust me, Krystal, "Will you marry me" are four words that I never thought I'd use in the same sentence to another person ever again.
Krystal: You want me to be Mrs. Tad Martin?
Tad: Well, you know, not necessarily. I'd be perfectly happy to be Mr. Krystal Carey. Jim Carrey, John Kerry, I don't care. Once you're saddled with a name like Thaddeus, anywhere is up. What the hell? I'll be anybody you want me to be. You know, Puff Taddy, T-Diddy, the husband formerly known as Thaddeus.
Krystal: You are a prince.
Tad: I'll do anything to get you to stick around for the rest of my life.
Krystal: I'd love that.
Tad: So? That's a "yes"?
Bianca: Whose little girl are you? Whose little girl? You're your mama's little girl, that's who. And your Uncle Jamie's, and mine, too. That's right. Yes, you are.
Jamie: There's no word from Babe. I don't know where she'd go.
Bianca: I don't know, but I'm sure she'll be back any minute. Jamie, did you get the feeling that she was about to make some kind of big announcement?
Jamie: Yeah, that's what makes it more weird. I mean, why run off?
Bianca: Well, don't you worry one little bit. There's no way she would leave you for very long. You're going to be back in your mama's arms before you know it.
Babe: There you go. What set you off again, little man?
Babe: How's that? Well, how about that, huh?
Kevin: You are officially the patron saint of stressed-out parents.
Kevin: Yeah, right.
Kevin: You think so?
Babe: We just hit it off, didn't we, Ace? Yes, we are simpatico.
Kevin: Well, you are the charm.
Babe: They're just miracles.
Kevin: Yeah, they are.
Babe: It's like gifts from God. And this one -- I've never seen a baby boy more beautiful than Ace. Who is so silly? Say hi to Daddy!
Kevin: Hello there!
Paul: You can do this! You can do this, Babe. Come on, you can try! Come on! One more, come on. Here it comes! Here it comes! Ok -- ok, he's here! He's here! Your boy's here, Babe. The helicopter went down, all right? Your baby's incubator was thrown out in the crash.
Babe: Just -- I'll get it. Just tell me where it is.
Paul: No, no! No, Babe, listen to me! Look at me, ok? Your baby's incubator went in the river, all right? I'm sorry! Your baby's gone!
Babe: If I even find out that you're lying to me, I will cruise to Llanview so fast, and I will tell your Aunt Dorian about our little marriage.
Paul: Oh, ok. Well, go ahead. I've already lost the megamillion inheritance.
Babe: Then I'll find some other way to make trouble for you. So, is it different raising a boy?
Kevin: Uh -- I don't know. It's all I've had, so -- I know that he is definitely his own man, that's for sure.
Kevin: It's either his way or the screaming highway, you see?
Babe: Obviously. Nobody gets one by you, huh, Ace?
Kevin: That's right, whether it's bedtime or feeding time, he's pretty much making the calls. Yeah, you definitely got the family spirit and the iron will. I mean, look at him. He's just all boy.
Babe: Oh, sure, just like Bess is all girl. She's sugar and spice and everything just perfect.
Kevin: Bess -- that's -- that's pretty.
Babe: Yeah, she's -- she's named after my husband's grandmother.
Kevin: Oh, yeah? Yeah, well, Ace here is named after my grandfather Asa.
Kevin: Listen, you know, next time you come to Llanview, you should bring Bess and we should get them together for a play date -- and see if they'd hit it off as well as you and Ace have. I bet they would.
Babe: I bet they would, too.
Jamie: What if something happened to her?
Bianca: Jamie, I think she's just freaked about J.R.
Jamie: Yeah, but she's behind the wheel, and Babe is not Nascar ready.
Maggie: Hey, I've been looking for you. Look -- or, you know, we can -- why don't you just come back to the apartment, and we'll --
Bianca: No, Maggie, why don't you stay.
Maggie: I am actually running some errands, and you guys look like you're busy.
Bianca: We're not busy. Can the errands wait?
Maggie: They're sort of piling up.
Bianca: Maggie, it's -- it's important.
Jamie: Ok. Bess and I are going to catch up.
Maggie: Oh, what are you going to talk about? Being messy? Nap time?
Jamie: Yeah, among other important things. Ooh, she's a perfect listener.
Jamie: She can't yell, she can't complain --
Bianca: Um -- Jamie --
Jamie: She can't get away.
Bianca: You haven't had a lot of experience with babies.
Jamie: Well, she's not a trig problem. I've got human instincts. And besides, Dad's here, Krystal's here. Relax. I'll just take her for a walk. Come here. Come here.
Bianca: Bye. Well, you must be running on empty.
Maggie: A heavy class load.
Bianca: Too heavy to check your messages?
Maggie: Oh, I'm sorry about -- look, my phone has been schitzing out on me like you wouldn't believe. I mean, every time that I do get a window to call, either my phone's dead or I think it's just too late to call you back, that's all.
Bianca: Right. Maybe you're afraid that I'll actually answer and you'll actually have to talk to me?
Maggie: No, you -- you're really making too much of this. You've been busy, too. I mean, you've been just moving into, you know, Greenlee's place. Look, next time you call, I promise I will call you right back.
Bianca: Maggie, I haven't seen you since you walked in on me and Babe in bed together, and I don't think that's a coincidence.
Maggie: You're right. I don't want to talk about this.
Bianca: No, Maggie, don't avoid me anymore. Things are a mess between us. I just want to make it right.
Tad: I know that it's sudden, and, you know, I realize that's immense, but that's one of the reasons why I know this is so right. And now I'm really starting to sweat because you're, you know, acting like you're thinking about jumping for the nearest escape hatch.
Krystal: No, Tad. This is a big step, ok, and I -- I need time.
Tad: Ok, right. I -- I understand. Just, you know, take a few minutes -- you know, five. Just don't expect me to give you ten because after that, whatever's left of my mind will probably be gone. That's not fair, either, is it? So, I tell you what -- you take eight minutes, ok? Eight minutes would be really good. See what kind of catch I make? I mean, there you go, you know. I'm not one of those inflexible power mongers, you know? Believe me, you know, compromise is the cornerstone of any good marriage, and for you I wouldn't just be flexible. I would do back bends. Matter of fact, I already have.
Krystal: Eight minutes.
Tad: Sweetheart, I've already done all the wondering and worrying that anybody can do about this. And I just keep coming back to the same thing. I -- I love you more than anything. And as sure as my name is anything you want it to be, I'd do anything to make you happy. All you got to do is name the when, you know, and the where. It doesn't matter to me, you know, if it's the top of a mountain in the Andes or the bottom of a lagoon in the Caribbean. I don't care. You know, black tie and scuba gear optional. All you got to do is say yes.
Krystal: So, are my eight minutes up?
Tad: Yeah. I'm sorry. So, how'd I do?
Krystal: Very, very convincing. And, honey, I'm not a pushover in the man department, either, but you are a blue-ribbon, door-buster special. I've never met a man who not only could read me like a mood ring, but who also knew just how to respond, even when I didn't know how to myself. Lord knows you've seen me cry. And you could still get a smile out of me. Now, if that doesn't tell you something -- Tad Martin, I would be a fool if I sat here right now and --
Jamie: What are you doing? Sorry to barge in, but Bess is making the hungry face.
Krystal: Oh, I'll feed her.
Tad: The hell you will.
Jamie: No, no, I can do it. Just point me to the gear.
Tad: The nanny's diaper bag is in the kitchen. Go.
Jamie: Ok. Guess we're a go.
Tad: Yeah, hopefully.
Tad: We are, too. Am I right?
Krystal: Oh, Tad.
Tad: No, no, no, no, not one more word unless it's "Yes," as in [Southern accent] "Yes, I will marry you."
Krystal: You making fun of me?
Erica: How could you call the police?
Greenlee: Kendall shot my husband. Now she's stalking him in the hospital where he's --
Erica: She's not stalking anybody.
Greenlee: Not anymore she's not.
Jack: Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Now, the police at the casino -- they investigated. They found no proof that Kendall intentionally shot Ryan.
Greenlee: I saw her pull the trigger. I saw the hatred in her eyes and the sick things that she said. That should be proof enough for them, certainly enough for my own father.
Kendall: I thought the gun was loaded with blanks, ok? I thought this was just part of the game. I would never, ever want to hurt Ryan.
Jonathan: That's a laugh.
Jack: Just let the police handle this investigation. Let's just concentrate on Ryan making it through this, huh?
Jonathan: You've wanted revenge on my brother since long before I got to town, and nothing was off-limits. Ask her. Ask her how she slept with me to get back at him.
Erica: Well, how gallant of you to share with us who you slept with. But whatever occurred between you, it doesn't matter. That is off the subject.
Jonathan: The police won't think so because it shows a pattern of desperation for revenge.
Kendall: I'm ashamed of every stupid, juvenile thing I did to get back at Ryan, and using you tops the list. I wanted to get back at him, but I would never -- I would never -- I just want you to know how incredibly sorry I am that this happened.
Derek: Sorry you shot him? Or sorry Ryan's still alive?
Greenlee: About time. Handcuff her and get her out of my sight.
Greenlee: Go on. Read Kendall her rights and arrest her.
Derek: I'm only here to ask some questions.
Jonathan: You've got to be joking.
Erica: Zach Slater’s casino is not in Pine Valley.
Jack: Yeah, you're way out of your jurisdiction, Derek.
Derek: The state police are sharing the wealth. Guess their plates are full.
Jack: So you've reviewed the case file. You know this was not a simple shooting.
Erica: This was a game. This was a murder game, and we were all playing. Zach Slater left notes everywhere for everyone telling us where to go. Now, Kendall's led her to the gun and instructed her to fire at Ryan.
Greenlee: But Zach didn't put real bullets in it.
Erica: How do you know that?
Greenlee: I saw --
Erica: Nobody knows anything. Anyone could have done that to the gun before Kendall got ahold of it.
Greenlee: No, I saw her shoot Ryan. And I've heard the threats that Kendall made for weeks, including the one she said right before she pulled the trigger.
Erica: It was not attempted murder.
Greenlee: Now I'm scared she's hanging around this hospital to finish what she started.
Kendall: That's not true!
Greenlee: My husband is not safe while she is walking around. You don't want to listen to me? Maybe the media will listen to me. The people of this state will love the fact that a murderess is walking around. My husband is in recovery. We don't even know if he -- not one of you cares.
Jack: Sweetheart, that is not true.
Greenlee: You don't, you don't, you don't! You care about her and her rights. Well, let me tell you something. If Ryan --
Kendall: No, no, he can't. He can't, he won't. Ok, Greenlee, listen to me. Don't even think that for a second, ok? He's going to make it. He's strong and he's going to make it. He's going to fight and he's going to fight to be with you.
David: I need to speak with you alone.
Tad: Some other time.
David: It's about Babe.
Krystal: Uh -- Tad --
Tad: Yeah, I got it, I got it. Yeah, whatever you need is fine. I'll be in the kitchen helping Jamie with his feed-the-hungry project. Would you excuse me for a second?
David: So, I guess Babe hasn't come clean about Miranda?
Krystal: No, no, not yet. She was close, but she just needed a little push, so she ran off.
David: What do you mean, she ran off?
Krystal: She'll be back.
David: Well, where did she go?
Krystal: She went to that chapel in the woods where she prays for her son I told you about. I think the only person that can help her right now is that little boy that she lost.
Babe: So, you said that you and your wife aren't together any longer?
Kevin: Yeah, the divorce is almost final. I'm just hoping it won't affect Ace too much. I mean, he'll -- you know, he'll grow up with his parents being apart, so it should be normal for him, but --
Babe: My husband and I -- we're splitting up, too.
Kevin: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.
Babe: No, it's -- it's for the better, believe me. So, do you have custody of Ace?
Kevin: Oh, yeah, and I'm not giving it up.
Babe: You know, it's funny. Nowadays everyone automatically assumes that the kids are just going to go with their mamas.
Kevin: Yeah, well, I think more fathers are fighting for custody of their children.
Kevin: I mean, I know I would've done anything for Ace. How about your husband?
Babe: No matter what he does, he can't get Bess.
Kevin: Yeah, that would -- that would just kill me. I don't know what I'd do without Ace.
Babe: You love him that much, don't you?
Kevin: Well, sure. Just like you love your baby.
Kevin: Can I -- can I get you something? Some water or something?
Babe: Oh -- no, I'm -- I'll be all right.
Bianca: And we caught the whole thing on tape. J.R. was even more freaked out when we pulled the covers back and he saw that Babe and I still had our clothes on.
Maggie: You didn't owe me an explanation or anything.
Bianca: I just wanted you to know the full story.
Maggie: Thanks, but it's not like, you know, Lena walked in and saw this whole thing and then ran off. I mean, then you'd have to worry if the love of your life misunderstood. How is Lena?
Bianca: She's fine. Lena and I are fine.
Maggie: Ok, so, now my confession? I -- well, I went to the beach because I had to sort of get away from everything around here.
Bianca: Ok, well, everybody does sometimes.
Maggie: Well, you know, I've been a little confused about this whole heteroflexible thing?
Maggie: Gay, straight? Am I leaning? Um -- but it's ok, really. And I don't want you to worry. And, well, Jonathan, on the other hand --
Maggie: Lavery. Ryan's brother? He's -- well, hot, let's face it. Don't you think? Well, ok, maybe you don't really find him attractive, but believe me, he is really, really hot.
Bianca: I think he's very good-looking.
Maggie: So, you know, we've sort of been running circles around each other, and we hung out, and not that I'm bailing on everything that I said to you -- I think I'm going to try it out with him. What do you think?
Bianca: I -- I think that's great. Yeah, yeah, I mean, if the attraction is there, then why not?
Maggie: Right. Why not? Plus, if -- you know, if you don't take a chance, you could miss out on finding the love of your life, right?
Kendall: I meant what I said, Greenlee. We know Ryan. We know how strong he is.
Jonathan: Nice show, ok? No one's buying it. Come on, let's go.
Jack: Greenlee --
Erica: Excuse me --
Jack: No, no, no, no. You could make matters worse.
Erica: Oh, could they possibly be? Don't worry, I won't, I swear.
Jack: Please, just stay with us, please.
Erica: I won't be a minute.
Derek: Kendall? Want to sit down?
Jack: Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Kendall, you made a statement to the police at the casino. You don't have to answer any questions.
Derek: You were suspended from practice.
Jack: I'm just an uncle giving good advice.
Derek: This game of murder your were playing -- how much did you know about it before it began? Tell me everything you remember.
Jack: You can read that in her statement.
Derek: Why didn't you check the gun to see if it was loaded with blanks or with live rounds?
Jack: And that is also in her statement. Back off, Derek. Kendall's wrung out. She's worried sick about Ryan. She's almost in shock.
Derek: Are you shutting me down?
Jack: If Livia were here, you think she'd let Kendall answer any questions?
Derek: Ok. I'll be in touch when Kendall is up to answering my questions and when I can make those answers stick.
Kendall: Jack, I appreciate what you're doing for me, but -- but backing me right now is a big mistake.
Erica: Excuse me, can you please just give us a few moments alone?
Greenlee: I'm ok.
Jonathan: I'll get some coffee.
Erica: Do you want to start or shall I? Greenlee, I have been where you are right now -- screaming for Kendall's head. All this bad feeling, all this hatred -- that won't help him.
Greenlee: So I should just forgive Kendall? Embrace her? Forgive, forget?
Erica: I know it's not that easy.
Greenlee: Imagine if Kendall was furious with my father.
Erica: Greenlee, that's -- that's --
Greenlee: No, no, no, just -- just work with me a second. She's jealous of you and she threatens him and she does anything she can to wreak havoc, until finally Kendall fires a gun at him, point-blank range. And imagine that you have to watch it, and you see him fall, and you hold him in your arms while his life slips out of him. And tell me that you say, "Que sera, sera, Kendall, have a nice life," and let her get away with it. Because I know damn well you wouldn't.
Jamie: You sure know what you want. You take after your mama, don't you? Which you'd better because she's got something special. And not just the pretty thing, though you do have that covered. She's got it all going on inside, too. She deserves a lot of good stuff from now on. I don't know, I just want to see you and your mama happy for a change.
Kevin: He is definitely a chip off the old Buchanan block. How about Bess? Does she take after you? Hey.
Babe: Sorry. That guy -- he just -- he just seems familiar.
Kevin: Oh, yeah, he's familiar, all right.
Kevin: He's my soon-to-be ex-brother-in-law, Paul Cramer.
Kevin: Yeah. His sister is Ace's mother.
Kevin: So, do you know him?
Babe: Uh -- no, he just -- he just reminds me of somebody.
Kevin: Excuse me. Oh, you know what? I have to take this call. Listen, it was really nice meeting you. Let me just get Ace from you.
Kevin: Oh, come on, you already have one of your own.
Babe: I'm sorry.
Kevin: Oh, come here, Ace. That's all right. It's just the magnetic Buchanan charm. Isn't that right? I'm -- I'm Kevin, Kevin Buchanan.
Babe: It's nice to meet you.
Kevin: You, too.
Babe: Both of you.
Kevin: What's your name?
Babe: Bella. Bella Carey.
Kevin: Bella Carey -- that's beautiful.
Kevin: Listen, next time you're in Llanview, why don't you give me a call? All right? Say, "Ciao, bella," huh?
Babe: Ciao. Well, pretty amazing.
Paul: Well, you knew I lived in Llanview, Babe.
Babe: Yeah, but I end up trading baby stories with your brother-in-law. That's some coincidence.
Paul: Yeah, well, it's a small town.
Babe: That baby -- he's beautiful. You must be proud.
Jamie: You want this? No, not this. Cleanup in aisle 3.
Jamie: Ew. We can find that later.
Jamie: Ok. Hey, you, hold still. Work with me, all right? Come on. There we go. Almost -- almost -- stop eating your foot -- almost -- and we have a new world's record. See that? There's no mystery, is there? No trick. All it takes is a little bit of practice. And -- I'm sorry -- cooperation. I apologize for that. Why don't you give me a high-five? Or a foot?
Krystal: Babe will be back soon, and when she is --
David: Are you ready?
Krystal: For our daughter to blow her life to bits? What do you think?
David: I think she's doing the right thing.
Krystal: Yeah, but that doesn't make it any easier. When Bianca finds out that Bess is really Miranda, her own baby girl --
David: I know. Everything's going to be different for all of us.
Krystal: Tell me about it.
David: That didn't really look like a goodbye kiss that Tad was giving you just now. Look, the closer you get now, the more you share. It's only going to be much worse for you later.
Krystal: You know, when Tad lets me have it for being the rotten, lowdown, lying piece of trash that I am --
David: Tad is always big on claiming that he would do anything for his family. But there's no way that he would recognize the true, unselfish love that you've shown Babe. So just -- look, don't set yourself up for more pain.
Tad: All right, I'm back, which means it's your cue to slither out the door.
David: Just take care of yourself.
Krystal: I will.
Tad: What was that about?
Krystal: David wanted to give me some news, but I'd already heard it.
Tad: Oh. Well, how about telling me what I'd like to hear? Are you ready to give me an answer?
Krystal: Yeah. Yeah, I'm sorry I made you wait.
Kendall: The whole night is a blur to me. The fundraiser, the gambling, watching Ryan and Greenlee -- all I remember clearly is the pain and the anger just exploding in my head.
Jack: Go on, I'm listening.
Kendall: I've been nursing my anger for weeks now, just plotting and planning, trying to think of ways to drive this wedge of doom between Ryan and Greenlee -- exactly what I would do -- and now look how it's all turned out.
Jack: I want you to tell me what you did do. I want you to sit here and I want you to tell me what you think actually happened, ok?
Kendall: Well, I -- I had the gun in my hand. The gun was in my hand, and it felt so perfect. It felt like -- like a bracelet on my arm or a ring on my finger. I mean, the whole thing seemed so perfect and so deserved. I would be the murderer and Ryan would be my victim, of course. It was the ultimate payback. I wanted to kill him. So I'd stand there, forcing him to look down the barrel of the gun, and I'd -- I'd pull the trigger. But he wouldn't die. He wouldn't be shot, not really. He would just -- he would just feel powerless like I felt, but I couldn't kill him, Jack. I couldn't. I wouldn't, I wouldn't. He's got to live, Jack. Ryan -- he's got to live. Even -- even if he stays with Greenlee, Jack, Ryan has got to live.
Greenlee: A crime was committed, and Kendall deserves to be punished for it. Thank God the police won't share your and my father's favoritism.
Erica: Greenlee, this is not about taking sides.
Erica: No, Jackson loves you very much. He just honestly thinks that Kendall meant Ryan no harm.
Greenlee: It's a miracle that I even found Ryan. After Leo, I mean, you're lucky if you have that kind of love once in your lifetime, but twice? Thanks to Kendall, it could be over, you know? Ryan could be dying. Ryan could die. Do you have any idea -- can you imagine --
Erica: Greenlee, I love Ryan, too. I don't want either one of us to lose him.
Jonathan: What brings you here?
Maggie: You. I heard about Ryan. I'm really sorry. Any word yet?
Jonathan: No, not yet.
Maggie: Well, not that it makes it better, and for what it's worth, I've kind of been where you are right now. And nobody can say anything to make it better except the doctor. So if there's anything that you need -- I mean, I can get you coffee, food, pick up your mail -- I clean, I do windows.
Jonathan: Just talk.
Maggie: Right. Well, I think I'm talking enough.
Jonathan: Well, stick around then.
Jonathan: Who was it for you when you were in the same spot?
Maggie: My sister. You know, it wasn't the same, though. I -- I was actually too late for the kind of thing that -- the kind of thing that you're sharing with Ryan.
Jonathan: What got you through?
Maggie: Friends. Wow.
Maggie: That sounds so greeting card. Does it? Oh, no.
Jonathan: Yeah, it does. Hey, but it's true. Yeah, yeah, I know.
Krystal: Because of you, my life is deeper and richer, and everywhere around me the colors are brighter and --
Tad: I love the sound of that so far.
Krystal: But --
Tad: No, no, no, no "but." Don't say "but." Please, anything but "but." Don't say –
Krystal: Tad, life is one big "but," ok, followed by a lot of "what nows." And I just cannot commit to anything until Babe is settled and I know that she's gotten through all of this.
Tad: Exactly, that's what I'm saying. I'll be there with you every single step of the way, with Babe and the baby. She'd have both of us in her corner.
Krystal: When this whole mess with Babe and Bess is taken care of, then -- then I'll have my answer for you.
Tad: Hayward. Hayward. I walk out of the room for five minutes. I leave you two alone. He obviously flaps his unhinged jaw, you know, darts his forked tongue a couple times, and now you're telling me no!
Krystal: I didn't say no.
Tad: Krystal, believe me, when you're on this side of a marriage proposal, "maybe later" is definitely in the same category. But what was it? What the hell did he say?
David: Babe is the -- is the best thing that's happened to me in a long, long time. But the closer I get to her, the more I love her, the more worried I am.
Bianca: You're afraid for her and for Bess.
David: And I'm worried about losing her.
Bianca: David, that's not going to happen. Now that you two found each other, you're going to be together forever. And Babe needs you now more than ever.
David: Bianca, Babe needs you, too.
Bianca: Babe can always count on my friendship. David, relax a little, ok? Please? When this whole mess is over, Babe is going to be happy again. We're all going to be happier.
Paul: What are you doing in Llanview?
Babe: I got turned around. I needed directions. Maybe you could come to my rescue again.
Paul: Listen, do me a favor. Don't hit on Kevin, all right? He's got enough problems.
Babe: I'm much more interested in Ace. He proves that I'm right.
Paul: About what?
Babe: Motherhood. It can really change a girl. You know, it's the weirdest thing. Ace -- he was fussing, and I'm not sure it was his temper or teething or what, but the second that I held him, he was a perfect little angel. He calmed right down, like he's known me his entire little life. What's going on, Paul? Why are you so nervous?
Kendall: I've been -- I've been running on anger and payback for so long. Now what? I mean, sometimes -- sometimes being a bitch is all a girl has to hang on to.
Jack: Well, I'm not going to let you go. And neither are Bianca or Reggie or Lily.
Kendall: You left one out.
Jack: I didn't leave anybody out. I'm just saving the best for last. Or Erica. You will always have your mother.
Kendall: I hope so.
Jack: I know so. We are your family. We're behind you. Don't ever forget that.
Erica: Kendall is troubled and confused, and she needs all the love that we can give her.
Greenlee: Great. Great. Protect her, love her, wear yourselves out. I don't need anything from any of you.
Erica: No, Greenlee, we are here for you, too.
Greenlee: No, don't knock yourselves out. Rally around Kendall. Ryan's the only family I need. Just Ryan.
Babe: Paul, you're sweating like crazy, and the air conditioner's blasting.
Paul: No, I just -- I just got out of the gym.
Babe: You better be careful. Drink lots of water and eat light.
Paul: Thanks for the advice.
Babe: Hey, tell me something -- where did Kevin Buchanan get that baby?
Krystal: Tad, David had nothing to do with my decision.
David: What decision?
Jamie: Is Babe back yet?
Krystal: Oh, poor baby.
Tad: What's wrong?
Bianca: What's -- what happened to her?
Jamie: Well, she's been fed and then changed. We were cool, and then --
Bianca: Oh, honey.
Bianca: What's the matter with our favorite little girl, huh? What's the matter, sweetheart?
Jamie: I tried to get it out of her, but she's not talking.
Bianca: Oh, shh. You don't have to cry.
Bianca: I know, I know. Close your eyes sleep is more than it seems soon you'll discover a garden of dreams a blossoming tapestry lights up the dark dreams are the flowers that bloom in your heart.
David: Bianca, what is it?
Bianca: It's the song that I sang Miranda. She liked it, too.
Tad: Oh, all right, enough is enough. What do you know that I don't?
David: Nothing. Just take it easy.
Tad: Don't tell me to take it easy. Obviously, it's not nothing. First, after a long-awaited reunion with the baby, you know, Babe acts like she's going to make some huge pronouncement and then takes off. Now you and Krystal are sharing these deep, personal looks like you're locked in a telepathic chat room. And after five minutes with you, the "yes" I was expecting from her turns into a "to be announced later." Now, obviously, you know something, and I want in on the big secret!
Krystal: Tad, stop attacking David. This is not his fault.
Tad: You tell me whatever it is, and I'll be the judge of that.
Jamie: If you know why Babe took off or where she's at, let's hear it.
Bianca: Yeah, where is she?
Krystal: Can't we just stop and wait?
David: No. This has gone on way too long as it is. Maybe it's time to just get it out in the open. You all want some answers? Fine. Let me give it to you.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
J.R.: You can't stop me from seeing my baby.
Bianca: You will take this baby over my dead body!
Aidan: There's a reason to be concerned here, Maria, and you just don't want to see it, do you?
Maria: I don't think you're concerned. I think you're jealous because I had feelings for someone that isn't you.
Michael: You going to turn your back on me now?
