All My Children Transcript Tuesday 8/10/04

Greenlee: I just saw Darth Chandler and son steam out of here dragging their forked tails behind them.
Ryan: You're back.
Greenlee: I assume congratulations are in order.
Ryan: Welcome back is in order. I missed you.
Greenlee: How much?
Ryan: Very much. This is the perfect surprise of the day.
Greenlee: Well, everything's cool in California, and for some reason, I'd rather be here with you than there with Mia, so --
Ryan: Greenlee, there's something I should've told you before you left, but now I am even more sure than ever.
Erica: You slept with Ryan's brother before you stole the company out from under him?
Kendall: No, no, I didn't steal it, I didn't steal it. Adam and J.R. did. Ok, but here's the kicker -- Ryan tried to convince me earlier today that he's completely over me for good, which, of course, that can't be. I mean, it's impossible, and we are going to prove that. And you know what's so great about you and I doing this together is that you hate Greenlee just as much as I do, so it's perfect! Plus, Mother, you are the queen of creativity. You're so creative. I mean, the truth is I'm running out of ideas, but the two of us putting our heads together could be so amazing!
Erica: Kendall, you have to stop. You're talking like a crazy person.
Kendall: Look, I know I'm being very intense about this, but I'm so excited about you helping me.
Erica: I know Ryan, and -- look, why don't we just go home and we'll talk about this all there.
Kendall: No, no, no, ok, Mother, you're not listening to me. Please, ok, I need to figure this out now. This is important. I need to figure out what to do with Ryan.
Erica: Well, then you need to let go of all of these feelings you're having of such anger, Kendall, and just -- just deal with your deeper issues.
Kendall: Like you've dealt with yours? Mother, how can you help me when you still have so much to work through?
Erica: Kendall, at least I have started trying to get better. And I am so happy that I understood that I couldn't do it completely alone. So I got help and I got sober.
Kendall: Yes, I know, and I admire that. I really do.
Erica: What happened to me left deep wounds. They don't heal overnight.
Kendall: The pain stays with you all the time. But I won't suffer alone. I believe in sharing the pain with the person who caused it.
Erica: As long as you understand that eventually that might hurt you more.
Kendall: It's ok, Mother. If you won't help me stick it to Ryan and Greenlee, I know someone else who doesn't have a choice.
Kendall's voice: I really don't want to ship these hot shots off to Anita.
Bobby: Anita, you in there?
Anita: Go away!
Greenlee: Hurry up. I'm holding my breath.
Ryan: You don't have to.
Greenlee: Is this good or what?
Ryan: Greenlee, for the last couple of months, you've been outstanding. You've been perfect. I couldn't have made it through without you.
Greenlee: Enough buttering me up. What do they say, if you can hear the bomb whistling, it's far away, but if not --
Ryan: Oh, I am dropping a bomb, I guess, in sort of a way. I don't want to detonate what we have.
Greenlee: Oh, my God, Ryan. What is it that you're trying to tell me?
Ryan: How I feel.
Greenlee: How you feel about what?
Ryan: About you, about us. I think it's time to make a change in our marriage.
Greenlee: Will I like this change?
Ryan: Well, that's what I'm hoping to find out.
Greenlee: Maybe I should sit. Get it over with. Just say it.
Simone: Ah, so have you heard? The Chandlers got Generatrix. Some welcome home, huh?
Greenlee: I've had better.
Ryan: Simone, I'm a little busy.
Simone: Sure you are. Look, don't blame Jonathan, ok? I know you put him in charge and everything, but Kendall totally outflanked him.
Greenlee: Are you saying that Kendall teamed up with Adam and J.R.?
Simone: Well, I can't prove it, but it definitely looks like it.
Ryan: Kendall can't hurt us anymore.
Greenlee: As long as she's breathing and jealous, she can sabotage Fusion.
Ryan: Not for long.
Simone: That is why I am offering myself up for the good of the company. Put me in charge of the Enchantment signature perfume project.
Ryan: You want to work with Jonathan. Yes, I'll consider that.
Simone: Say the word and I am on him -- it.
Greenlee: We know what you mean. How did Jonathan hand Generatrix to the Chandlers?
Ryan: Kendall played him, and she played me.
Greenlee: Have I said lately that I hate Kendall? Because I really, really do hate her, and it's a deep, everlasting kind of hate.
Ryan: Well, the upside is she can't use Jonathan anymore.
Greenlee: Good news, but not enough to make me do the happy dance.
Ryan: Ok, how about this -- Kendall can't get to me anymore, either. She hasn't got a chance.
Erica: Kendall, I know how hurt you are that Ryan married Greenlee.
Kendall: No, hurt doesn't even begin to describe it. Do you know how many times I tried to make things right with Ryan? I went after him. I opened myself up to him and made myself vulnerable again and again.
Erica: And he rejected you?
Kendall: No matter how many times I tried, I just couldn't make things right with him. You know, when Ryan and I went after you in Las Vegas, I had this dream that -- that everything would turn out perfect between us. Ryan and I would find you, and it would be so amazing that it would turn everything upside down. Everything would be perfect. We would be bonded together forever. And then we'd come back with you. You and I, Ryan and I, everything magically perfect.
Erica: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Kendall.
Kendall: No, the fact is I only made everything worse for you. Ryan was so determined to help you and reach out and bring you back here to Pine Valley, and I just -- I had to go.
Erica: Oh, Kendall, if I had had any idea -- but the truth is at that time, I mean, I was drunk most of the time and I just felt cornered and trapped.
Kendall: No, I understood where you were coming from. But Ryan -- he didn't have your excuse.
Erica: But getting back at Ryan is not the answer.
Kendall: No? Ok. All right, fine. Honestly, tell me this -- if your father were still alive, standing here right now, what would you do?
Erica: I'd kill him!
Bianca: Enough already. Maybe I have already lost Mom. I mean, so much has changed. Our lives have changed so much.
Jack: Bianca, you still love each other, right?
Bianca: Well, maybe love isn't enough. Really, I can't imagine ever being as close to Mom as I once was.
Jack: Well, I'm not going to kid you, it's not going to be easy.
Bianca: I'm tired. I'm not up for another fight.
Jack: Oh, you know what -- that's not fair.
Bianca: You mean that's not fair to Mom, don't you? I'm just -- I'm not ready for another struggle. I want to move past what's happened, not go back and relive all the misery.
Jack: Nobody's asking you to go back and relive all the misery, no.
Bianca: Yeah, Mom is. She is. She isn't ready to move on, so no one is. She expects everyone to work through things at her speed, and I can't.
Jack: Ok, let me see if I've got this. You're just going to race on ahead, and if Erica can keep up, fine. If not, it's, well, goodbye, so long, Mom, nice knowing you?
Bianca: My mother's a lot smarter than I am. When she leaves somebody behind, she really leaves them behind and doesn't say where she's going, and that way she doesn't have to listen to anybody else's criticism or advice.
Jack: You're still upset about Las Vegas, right? Listen to me -- you can hold that against her forever.
Bianca: And I might.
Jack: And make it a permanent obstacle, Bianca, or you can do your best to put it behind you.
Bianca: Mom can't win with me, can she? I'm ticked at her for taking off, I'm ticked at her for coming back all ready to help because she's just a little bit too late.
Jack: So what are you saying, you don't need your mother anymore?
Bianca: She wants to make up for not being there for me, but she can't. It's over. I'm ready to move on.
Jack: Are you sure you're over it?
Bianca: Yes. Yes, I'm fine. I am absolutely fine.
Jack: Are you really?
Bianca: I'm not my mother. Thunder is just noise.
Lily: The space of time between the thunder and the lightning is getting shorter. The storm's moving closer again. Or it could be a different storm.
Jack: Yeah, well, either way, we'd better batten down the hatches here, huh?
Lily: Daddy, please speak English.
Jack: Ok, sweetheart. We'd better get home before we get wet. Here you go.
Bianca: You're worried about Mom, aren't you?
Jack: Yeah, you bet I am.
Bianca: Well, then why don't you go find her, and I'll take Lily home.
Jack: You don't want to stay here and help me clean up this mess?
Bianca: Not really. I'll drive Lily home. Thanks.
Lily: I'll stay. I can look for Erica.
Bianca: Oh, no, Lily, it's ok. I'm not mad anymore. Let's go home.
Jack: Go ahead, sweetheart.
Bobby: Anita, stop messing around. Open the door.
Anita: Why are you doing this to me? Please go away!
Bobby: Ok, now you're scaring me. Just -- look, open the door before I break this thing down.
Anita: You're going to hate yourself for ruining everything.
Bobby: What is there to ruin?
Anita: My surprise.
Bobby: Uh -- what is all this?
Anita: It's a makeup date for our anniversary. We missed it this year.
Bobby: You are amazing.
Anita: Well, I only let you in because you were going to break down the door and trample my cake.
Bobby: Oh, is that the only reason?
Anita: Well, that and all the crazy love I have for you.
Bobby: God, I am the luckiest man on earth.
Anita: That is right, you are. Now get out of here, so I can get myself and this place all ready.
Bobby: No, no, no, you're perfect.
Anita: I'll be just about perfect in about a half-hour. That was your cue.
Bobby: I -- I can't.
Anita: What is it, Bobby? What's wrong?
Bobby: I don't deserve you. I mean, we wouldn't have missed our anniversary if it hadn't been for --
Anita: We aren't talking about that anymore. We agreed to focus on the future.
Bobby: We might not have a future.
Erica: But you can't equate Ryan with my father.
Kendall: Ok, well, yes, I agree the crimes were completely different, but the result was pain. Someone hurts you, you make them suffer.
Erica: Well, you wanted me to suffer once. You remember how that turned out.
Kendall: Yes, but I was a kid. Now I know what I'm doing. I know what I'm doing and I love it. There is nothing more satisfying than paying back hurt for hurt. It's ok, Mother, you don't have to worry about me.
Erica: No, I'm scared for you, Kendall. I'm scared for all of us. I'm scared for you and Bianca and myself.
Kendall: Jack, hi.
Jack: Hi. Well, looks like this storm is coming right at us.
Kendall: Yeah. So we heard. Look, Mother, everything's going to be fine. I promise you're safe, ok? I got to go. I got tons of things to do. I'll see you soon.
Erica: Yeah, just be sure you don't do anything that you are going to regret.
Kendall: Relax, relax, ok? I have no plans of killing Ryan. It's too much fun watching him squirm.
Ryan: Kendall was standing about as far away from me as you are right now, and it just kind of came to me, you know, the time that we were on the roof together --
Greenlee: I know what time you're talking about.
Ryan: And I looked into her eyes, and I saw this woman that I used to be nuts for, that I thought I loved more than anybody else and who was my fiancée more than once. And it's unbelievable. I mean, she did whatever she could to get a rise out of me.
Greenlee: Spare me the details, please.
Ryan: It was as if any reaction out of me was a good reaction.
Greenlee: So? How'd you react?
Ryan: Not at all. Nothing she could say or do had any effect on me.
Greenlee: When she talked, what'd you think about?
Ryan: I thought about how powerless she was. I thought that she might as well be asking me what I wanted to order for dinner, and it was amazing that there wasn't music and, like, fireworks going off to celebrate this incredible moment.
Greenlee: Free at last.
Ryan: And you know what that means.
Greenlee: You can relax.
Ryan: We can.
Greenlee: So that's what you wanted to tell me? You're immune to Kendall?
Ryan: Well, that's -- that's a big part of it, but that's not all.
Lily: There are some things you shouldn't do and some things you shouldn't say. I was wrong to say anything to make you feel bad.
Bianca: You didn't know how I would react.
Lily: I made you feel bad about your baby and the baby's father.
Bianca: Well, you don't have to think about it anymore, Lily. It's ok.
Lily: No, it's not. My dad told me some things I shouldn't talk about, but I did anyway and I caused trouble, and I'm sorry. This is the part where you tell me you forgive me, if that's the truth. But if it's not, then --
Bianca: Oh, God, I'm sorry! God, why can't anything be simple?
Lily: Count backward.
Bianca: What? Why?
Lily: Because it's something you always know for sure. All the numbers will always be there for you, always the same, even when everything else is jumbled around.
Bianca: Thank you very much, Lily, but I really don't think that's going to help right now.
Lily: Well, sometimes everything I see and hear rips, shreds, and rains down like pieces from a jigsaw puzzle, and all the bits whirl around and keep hitting you, and you can't stop them until they want to. Do you see the room spinning?
Bianca: It's not the room. It's my life.
Lily: And you can't stop it?
Bianca: I don't even know where to start.
Lily: I wish I could make your mouth turn up the happy way instead of down like it is now.
Bianca: I wish you could, too.
Lily: Daddy says he wants all of us in his family to be happy.
Bianca: He does.
Lily: Then why not tell us how?
Bianca: Well, it's not that simple. It's hard enough to fix yourself, let alone fixing other people.
Lily: Daddy can't fix me. I have a disorder, and I just have to live with it. But dad and I worked together to control it, and maybe you can control what's wrong with you.
Bianca: I don't want to control it. I want to make it go away. I want it to disappear.
Lily: When I work very, very hard and don't let anyone touch me, I make it seem like my disorder's almost gone, except it's just waiting for a chance to come back up. Work hard. Fold your problem in your mind until it's very tiny.
Bianca: I've tried. I have worked incredibly hard, but then suddenly it's back, ready to unfold as big as ever, dragging me down, smothering me.
Erica: How did Bianca and Kendall end up like this?
Jack: Well, it's not -- it's not the end yet. We should get out of here before the storm breaks.
Erica: Bianca feels she doesn't need help anymore. Bianca has stopped going to therapy, stopped her group.
Jack: Well, I'm afraid that's her call.
Erica: Bianca says that she feels that she has already worked through all of the agony she experienced from the rape, from Mirandas death, and she has already come out the other side, completely whole again.
Jack: Let's -- let's give her some time, huh?
Erica: She says she doesn't need time. Do you know what her attitude is?
Jack: Trying to make the best of things, I hope.
Erica: No. Bianca says that it actually might be better that Miranda is dead. I wonder where she got that from.
Jack: She actually said that?
Erica: Yes. Because this way, Miranda will always be a reminder of good, a saintlike memory, whereas alive, she would have been tormented. She would have always been the product of this maniac, Michael Cambias, a reminder of her father's crimes. I mean, Bianca opens her mouth and these words come out. These are my words! These are the words I said to her, but when I said them to her, it's when I was so distraught and so confused, and -- and they come out of her mouth now. But they were mine, and I don't understand how she can feel that way, really.
Jack: I think maybe Bianca's going through a stage where she needs to rationalize Mirandas death so she can deal with it.
Erica: No. No, Bianca loved Miranda. And she was right, because that baby, of course, was innocent. I mean, the baby was not some mini Michael Cambias that she was going to unleash on the world.
Jack: Is this what you and Kendall were talking about?
Erica: Oh, no, no. No, Kendall is on her own path to self-destruction. Kendall is of that mindset, that revenge-at-any-cost way of thinking that she had when she first came to Pine Valley.
Jack: And I take it Ryan is her target?
Erica: How can I stop this horrible cycle?
Jack: Sometimes the only thing you can do is to let them go.
Erica: You're telling me that I have to stand by helplessly and watch my girls destroy their lives?
Jack: Look, why don't we talk about this at your place or my place, or any place that's inside?
Erica: Thank you, Jack, thank you, but no. I cannot run. I cannot run anymore -- not from storms and not from my responsibility to my girls. I can't do that anymore. I have to face my responsibilities. I have to face what happened to all of us. And if I don't face it, if I don't deal with it, then we could all be lost for good.
Bobby: I -- I did something really stupid, and I have to tell you because I can't lie to you again.
Anita: What did you do?
Bobby: God, I love you. Um -- to think, I finally got my grandfather impressed for once. You know, Palmer thought I was a big shot. That was great.
Anita: Wait a second, Palmer? I don't -- I don't understand.
Bobby: He was after me for the money that I owed him.
Anita: Yeah, and you paid him back.
Bobby: I didn't have the cash. Not really. My investment hasn't paid off yet. But I just couldn't wait to grind that superior smirk off of his face.
Anita: So you got the money to pay him --
Bobby: I took the money.
Anita: Took it? What? From whom?
Bobby: From Zach. And I didn't tell him. But I thought I could replace it before he knew, and that didn't work out.
Anita: Well, has he notified the police?
Bobby: No. No, he told me to pay it back right away, that night. The same night you saw me at the bar, the Valley Inn, with Kendall.
Anita: All that cash -- it wasn't an investment?
Bobby: Not what you thought. Kendall gave me the money to replace what I took from Zach.
Anita: But it wasn't just a simple loan, was it?
Bobby: Kendall made some special demands.
Anita: Well, tell me what they are.
Greenlee: Something's going on with you. What?
Ryan: Well, what does it look like?
Greenlee: Like you're about to let me in on the joke. Is it about us?
Ryan: Yes, but it's no joke.
Greenlee: Can we skip the guessing? No clues, just tell me, are we back to us and our marriage?
Ryan: Yes, exactly.
Kendall: Sorry to break in on such a cozy moment, but the world as we know it is about to end.
Greenlee: So make your threats and take off.
Kendall: Hey, I'm not the villain here. Ryan's brother screwed up.
Greenlee: I already know we lost Generatrix Laboratories.
Ryan: Hey, Greenlee, what do you say we go get some dinner?
Greenlee: Great idea.
Kendall: Yeah, that's responsible leadership. You can't avoid what happened.
Greenlee: But we can, thank God, avoid you.
Ryan: Mr. Collins!
Mr. Collins: You know Ms. Thomas, Mr. Abbott.
Ryan: Yes, of course. Kristina, how are you? How's Matt doing at Stanford?
Mr. Collins: This is not a social call.
Kendall: I warned you.
Greenlee: So you're here by Kendall's invitation?
Mr. Collins: No, this is an unscheduled meeting. We just heard Adam Chandler acquired Generatrix.
Greenlee: We already know that, thanks.
Mr. Collins: But we didn't. That is until Adam Chandler shared the news with us himself.
Kristina: It was highly irregular.
Mr. Abbott: It was insulting.
Mr. Collins: Mr. Chandler was delightful about our lack of information. Of course, we fully briefed the entire board.
Ryan: How could you brief the entire board with only limited information?
Mr. Collins: And whose fault was that? Chandler is holding us hostage now.
Greenlee: Isn't that a little bit overdramatic?
Mr. Collins: Generatrix was to be a cornerstone for a new era for Cambias. Our vision was to build --
Ryan: Excuse me, Mr. Collins, but I'm sort of one step ahead of you because it was my vision to begin with, if you remember.
Mr. Collins: Chandler is willing to release Generatrix to us --
Ryan: In return for Chandler Enterprises, yes, and I didn't think it was as any reason to alert the board just yet.
Mr. Collins: Oh, that is remarkably shortsighted of you.
Ryan: And I will tell you what I told Chandler. They don't have the resources to float Generatrix. They are extremely overextended, so it's a bluff. We just sit back and we outlast them.
Mr. Collins: Oh. We have your word on that? Just like we had your word that your marriage to Mrs. Lavery wouldn't be a manipulation of our stock.
Ryan: Hey, Collins, stick to the subject!
Mr. Collins: The subject is your inability to be honest and forthright with this board!
Greenlee: Now, hold on. Ryan is not the problem here.
Kristina: We and the rest of the board disagree.
Ryan: Well, then fire me.
Mr. Collins: That's why we're here. The board has the power to remove you from your position as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Cambias.
Ryan: Well, what's your decision?
Mr. Collins: I hope you fully realize that you brought this on yourself, Mr. Lavery.
Jonathan: No, he didn't. I did. If you're going to fire somebody, it should be me.
Kendall: Mr. Collins, Mrs. Thomas, Mr. Abbott, this is Jonathan Lavery, our newest and probably most inept employee.
Ryan: Why do you even listen to this woman?
Greenlee: Kendall, stay out of this.
Jonathan: Ryan didn't do anything wrong.
Ryan: And the board will see that.
Kendall: Ryan sneaks his wife into the business, and then he hires his baby brother and gives him enough rope to hang Cambias Industries.
Jonathan: I am prepared to quit.
Ryan: You're not going anywhere.
Greenlee: No, neither of you are. Ryan has been a wonderful leader ever since he took the helm of Cambias.
Kendall: And why was that? I mean, first, you pick up Alexander Cambias on the side of the road, he hops on the back of your motorcycle, and then he dies and you inherit everything -- a stranger, a man he barely knows. Nothing fishy about that. You must just have really good persuasive energies. How'd you do it, Ryan? How did you convince Alex to leave you the whole priceless enchilada?
Anita: You slept with Kendall for the money?
Bobby: No. No, Anita, I would never. I would never cheat on you again. You're it for me.
Anita: God, Bobby, then what is all the drama? Our future is fine. Forget Kendall's terms. My gosh, I am so sorry. I just -- I leapt to that, but what did you expect me to think?
Bobby: No, her terms were --
Anita: Who cares what Kendall's terms are. I don't care if we are supporting her in her old age or we're making her rich with interest. Bobby, don't worry. I mean, even if your investment never pays off, we'll sell everything that we own and live as the happiest, poorest couple in the universe. Oh, my gosh. It's not another woman. I just -- I could not go through that again.
Bobby: And I would never put you through that again. Come here. I won't, Anita. I swear to you I won't.
Anita: I love you, Bobby. I am behind you, whatever it is, 100%.
Bobby: I love you, too. You'll always be my first.
Anita: All right, then, well, you have to go and come back and act surprised, ok? And go chat up with Edmund and Maria so I can put the finishing touches on our fabulously romantic evening.
Bobby: Hey, hey, hey, I can help you out here.
Anita: No, I got it covered. You're in charge of the after-party entertainment. I was thinking maybe we could enter the baby sweepstakes. Unless you have some objection.
Bobby: Just -- just tell me where to buy the tickets.
Anita: When you come back. Go.
Erica: How can I advise anyone when my own life is still such a mess?
Jack: Oh, wait a minute here. Erica, you're sober. That's a huge step, a difficult step.
Erica: It's one tiny step.
Jack: Erica, you just found out a few months ago what your father -- what he did to you. Now, that's not something you're going to get over in a few weeks.
Erica: No, maybe never. Not right away, certainly, that's for sure. But Bianca and Kendall -- I mean, I'm trying. I'm trying to learn how to deal with it. Bianca and Kendall -- do you think they're just pretending to get on with their lives?
Jack: Well, look at it this way -- you will be here for them when they're waiting for your help.
Erica: But I don't know how to help them. I mean, I thought I did, but I -- well, I mean, I don't even have the right to try until I help myself.
Lily: A life jacket.
Bianca: You wore a life jacket?
Lily: If I had one, I'd give it to you.
Bianca: What for?
Lily: You said you were smothering sometimes. I almost didn't learn to swim because the first time I let go of everything, the water wouldn't hold me up. It caved in on me and the top closed and tried to keep me from breathing and wouldn't let me out.
Bianca: But you're ok now.
Lily: Because my teacher gave me a life jacket, and the water wouldn't swallow me up anymore and I could breathe.
Lily: You're upset with me again. But I didn't talk about the baby or the baby's father.
Bianca: My little girl -- she couldn't fight the water and she didn't have a life jacket or anybody to help her.
Lily: The water swallowed up your little girl?
Lily: She couldn't breathe?
Bianca: And now I can't breathe. It's swallowing me, too.
Lily: That shouldn't be. There should be a life jacket out there for you somewhere.
Jack: Ok, well, you know, that's it. Why don't we go home?
Erica: No, no, Jack, I -- I want to face it.
Jack: This is a thunderstorm, Erica, a big one -- hail, gale-force winds.
Erica: No, I don't care. I want to take it for once.
Jack: Oh, please, please will let me help you?
Erica: Jack, you've already helped me. I have to go.
Jack: Ok, well, look, Bianca and Lily went back to my loft. We'll --
Erica: Oh, no, no, not with you, Jack. I have to go alone.
Erica: I'll be all right.
Jack: I'd like to make sure that you're going to be all right.
Erica: Jack, please. Please, I have to do this by myself. Please, I want your word that you won't follow me. Jack, just let me go.
Jack: Ok. You have my word.
Greenlee: Kendall knows that Ryan signed everything over to Miranda as soon as he found out Bianca Montgomery was pregnant with the Cambias heir, and he'd do it again tomorrow, so keep your nasty insinuations to yourself.
Ryan: If Miranda Montgomery had survived, and we all wish she would have, then Cambias Industries would be hers. And thank you, but you do not need to defend me.
Greenlee: Well, no one should have to, but some people aren't looking at the big picture. Up until now, every one of Ryan's decisions has paid off for Cambias Industries. Sales are up, revenues have increased, and our stockholders are pocketing some very hefty dividends.
Mr. Collins: Well, that may be the case --
Greenlee: It's my turn now, Mr. Collins. When some of you wanted to outsource jobs and services to foreign markets, Ryan held firm. He saved the jobs of 600 Americans.
Simone: Actually, that was 612.
Greenlee: Thanks. 612 Americans, and cut expenditures elsewhere so he could maintain the Cambias Industries' profit margin. I didn't see anyone screaming for his head then.
Mr. Abbott: This is a very different matter.
Ryan: I have done my best for Cambias Industries, and you have all seen the results. You know what? Why don't you check the numbers, because the numbers don't lie. But if you want to run scared because of a long shot, well, then that's your loss. You go ahead, you vote me out now. But just know that I will fight back, and you all know that I have the stocks to do it.
Mr. Collins: I would prefer a little privacy, but -- it comes down to this -- Ryan Lavery has shown blatant disregard for the needs of this company. His tunnel vision is the least of his faults. This latest charge of nepotism is the last straw. Where we place our trust. These are very serious charges regarding some questionable ethics.
Simone: May I help you?
Man: I need to speak to the man at the top of Cambias Industries.
Simone: Oh --
Ryan: Yeah, that would be me, Ryan Lavery. And you are?
Man: Cambias Industries' rightful owner.
Greenlee: Yeah, sure. Who are you really?
Man: Ethan Cambias. Alexander Cambias is my grandfather.
Anita: Welcome back. Let's get started with dessert and start making that baby.
Aidan: Wow. Now, that is what I call a homecoming.
Lily: There are many types of storms, aren't there?
Jack: How's that, sweetheart?
Lily: Well, there are storms in the weather with thunder and rain, and there are storms with coffee spilling and mugs breaking, and there are storms inside our heads with noises and whirling pictures.
Jack: Well, it's funny you say that. I have one of those going on inside my head right now.
Lily: I'm sorry, Dad.
Jack: Yeah. Me, too. No matter how much I want to or how hard I try, I just can't fix anyone.
Lily: Fixing is the hardest part. I love you, Daddy.
Jack: I love you, too, sweetheart.
Colleen: Hello, stranger.
Bianca: Yeah, it has been a long time, hasn't it?
Colleen: Everybody's entitled to a time-out now and then.
Bianca: Well, I thought that I needed a little time to breathe, but then I had some trouble catching my breath.
Colleen: Every rape survivor heals at her own pace. It's never smooth sailing.
Bianca: Well, I'm still looking for my life jacket.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Maria: Go away, please.
Ethan: So you're the guy who got it all.
Ryan: You're going to have to go through me to stake your claim.
Erica: I knew what the group is about. That's why I'm here. I am a rape survivor.
Anita: I thought you were gone.
Aidan: And I'm back.
