All My Children Transcript Tuesday 6/15/04
Proofread by Gisele
Man: So, you don't know where he is?
Simone: That voice. I could help you look for him.
Mia: You might want to stay out of dark storage areas.
Simone: Seriously, really, if you need to find him, I
Greenlee: You tell me who you are, what you want with Ryan, and I'll decide what, if anything, we do for you.
Ryan: Step outside.
Zach: All right.
Ryan: Who the hell do you think you are having Erica committed against her will?
Zach: Someone had to do something.
Ryan: I'm sorry, I'm confused are you her next of kin or her bodyguard or did she give you medical power of attorney?
Zach: I didn't need it.
Ryan: All right. I want you to call the director of this hospital, and you tell him she's being released today.
Kendall: Mother, are you all right?
Erica: Perfectly fine. I would prefer to be alone right now, so why don't you step outside, too.
Kendall: Don't you know by now you can't get rid of me even if you want to? Do you want to, Mother?
Krystal: Why are you sticking around here?
David: Why don't you join us?
Ron: We already said good-bye.
Krystal: Actually, I said good riddance, but here you are.
Ron: Only until my flight.
Krystal: Well, you know what? I'm just going to keep my eye on you till you take off, make sure you stay out of my daughter's life. The last thing she needs is a no-good Daddy causing problems.
Liza: After Krystal knocked me on the head, I don't know how much more I can take.
Tad: Oh, rough day, huh? I understand. But it's okay I got a feeling you're going to be up for this.
Liza: What do you have in mind?
Tad: Matrimony. Wedded bliss, you and me.
Liza: Very funny.
Tad: No, no, no joke. Listen, I'm good friends with the the justice of the peace over there in Elk Green. You say the word, we could have the "I dos" done by dinnertime.
Liza: You don't want that.
Tad: Huh! What I want doesn't seem to have anything to do with anything any more, does it? But that's okay, you know. You think it's a waste of time? I understand. I tell you what? Why don't we rip everything off the desk, and we can get down to the real business at hand. What do you say, huh? Sounds good to me. Come on, what are you waiting for?
[Tad removes his jacket and begins to undo his shirt]
Liza: You want to you want to have sex?
Tad: Don't you? Isn't that what you've been angling for all along?
Liza: What do you want?
Tad: What do I want? I want to get you off of Krystal's back. And if I have to put you on yours to get it, no problem -- I'm willing. I just -- I just hope you're not playing hard to get.
Liza: Stop it -- stop it!
Tad: Oh, I'm sorry, Liza. The game's not working out the way you planned? Well, those are the breaks. You started this -- you did. You set it in motion, and right now, I'm just wondering if you got the wherewithal to see it through.
Simone: Please excuse her. She's having a rough day -- again.
Greenlee: We're extremely busy.
Man: It's not business. I just need to talk to Ryan.
Bianca: Oh, well, we don't expect him today.
Simone: But if you'd like to leave your name and your telephone number --
Mia: Oh, she'll be sure to call you before you hit the sidewalk.
Simone: I would gladly give your information to Ryan so he can get back to you.
Jamie: What the hell --
Greenlee: No, no, no, no, no!
Simone: Kendall? Is it Kendall?
Greenlee: It's Babette McPartland!
Mia: In San Francisco?
Greenlee: In Maui now. She's left California to follow some guy who's searching for the perfect wave.
Bianca: Well, who's Babette?
Mia: She's our California rep.
Simone: Her dude must be hot. Speaking of which --
Greenlee: I hope he tosses her in the nearest active volcano.
Simone: He's gone.
Greenlee: Oh. No self-esteem, pathetic woman dogs the guy who rejects her.
Simone: Kendall all over again. What, you're the one that said that Kendall and Ryan were in Vegas.
Greenlee: Simone, this is about business, ours crumbling thanks to Babette.
Simone: Oh, please. Your undies are all in an uproar because Ryan and Kendall are in a city called sin. You don't have to take it out on us, mainly me. You even drove off that cute guy.
Greenlee: Forget men for a second. Simone, Fusion is in big trouble.
Greenlee: Get on the phone and find someone who could be trusted to handle our products. Mia? Stop the shipment, call the warehouse, and, Jamie --
Jamie: Ready to go to Hawaii if I have to.
Greenlee: Babette McPartland. Search all of our computer files and erase her.
Jamie: I'm on it.
Bianca: I don't think I can help with Babette, but the reason that Ryan hasn't called back yet is probably because he's dealing with my mother.
Greenlee: Yeah, there are a hundred reasons.
Bianca: Yeah, and you've jumped to the worst of them, but there is a possibility that Kendall went to Vegas for my mother, to help her.
Greenlee: So, Kendall's crawling after two people who have rejected her. Maybe she'll learn her lesson this time because you can bet Erica doesn't want to see her any more than Ryan does.
Bianca: Well, I'm still hoping that Kendall surprises us all.
Erica: I didn't ask you to come, Kendall -- only Ryan.
Kendall: Ryan -- he didn't even want me to come. I had to force him.
Erica: You shouldn't have given in.
Kendall: Yeah, well, I had to know you were all right.
Erica: Well, now you know, so now you can go.
Kendall: Why -- why did this Zach Slater even bring you here?
Erica: He made an error in judgment, and Ryan will rectify that.
Kendall: Mother, please, will you just please talk to me? I'm so worried about you. Please?
Erica: All right. May I use your lipstick, Kendall? Your lipstick?
Erica: "Blink pink. Fusion"? You use this color?
Kendall: It's one of our new shades.
Erica: Well, I certainly hope you do better by the Enchantment product line. "Blink pink." Hmm.
Kendall: Here, let me. Just let me --
Erica: No, don't treat me like a child. I don't need your help.
Erica: Who wouldn't shake constantly being viewed as if under a microscope? All right. Send Ryan back in, will you?
Kendall: You -- what, are you dismissing me?
Erica: I'm trying. Go home now, Kendall, and tell everybody in Pine Valley that I am just ducky -- in the pink.
Kendall: So you're turning your back on all of us again?
Zach: Erica has a drinking problem. This was the only sensible course of action.
Ryan: So then why did you lie about it?
Zach: I swore to her I wouldn't tell anyone of her whereabouts for any reason.
Ryan: She called me to come here.
Zach: That was your story. But she was in no condition to run her datebook by me, and she was already ambushed by one crazed fan, and by the look of it, you could've been another.
Ryan: If she needed help, you should have just contacted her family.
Zach: She didn't want that.
Ryan: But she did want to be locked up in full restraints?
Zach: Erica was hysterical. You saw what she did to that room. And when I got there this morning, she was sitting on the couch huddled under a blanket. She thought she was locked in a coffin.
Ryan: And you did everything in your power to make that a reality.
Zach: I brought her to the best hospital in town. You got to tell me something -- what is it that you want me to do, just ignore her condition?
Ryan: Wait a minute -- back at the hotel, you knew Kendall was Erica's daughter. Why didn't you just fill her in?
Zach: That's what I did. And if Kendall wants me to release her mother into her care, that's what I'll do now. If you think that you're going to be in control of Erica, you got to think again.
Krystal: Now, you better drain that glass and head for the door in the next 45 minutes, or I'm going to take this longneck and crack it over your thick skull and drag you to the airport myself.
Ron: It is hard to believe that I ever slept with that woman.
David: Hmm. Not too hard. So why did it go sour?
Ron: Visions of engagement rings danced through her head.
David: Didn't it ever bother you, even for a moment, that you were walking away from your own child?
Babe: We were just at Daddy's office visiting J.R., and we thought that we'd swing by and say Hi since we haven't seen you since the christening, and Bess misses her godmother. So do I.
Bianca: Well, I miss you guys, too. Look at her. She's just so pretty in pink. You are one happening haute couture baby, aren't you?
Jamie: You and Bess should have your own ads -- like the perfect mother-daughter team.
Babe: Yeah. I'm a real Kate Hudson, huh?
Jamie: Oh, great. I know pregnant women glow, but yours never left.
Babe: Wow. Well, maybe I should come here more often, huh?
Jamie: I mean it. You've got the mom thing working.
Babe: I can't imagine life without her now.
Mia: Aw. She is so beautiful.
Bianca: She's perfect.
Simone: Oh. Godparents are always prejudiced.
Bianca: No, we're not. I'm being completely objective, aren't I, Bess?
Simone: The kid just rolled her eyes.
Bianca: She did not!
Simone: I saw.
Mia: I'm afraid so.
Simone: You know, Babe, you might want to, you know, gather your stuff up and get out of here before Greenlee comes back.
Mia: Oh. Can you say "meltdown"? Meltdown.
Babe: Oh, ok.
Bianca: Oh, no, no, no. Greenlee will be fine. You and your mama are welcome at Fusion anytime. There is nothing more important than this little angel.
Liza: You don't have to be so cruel.
Tad: I'm sorry. I don't see that I -- I've got any choice. I mean, please tell me some other way that I can get through to you. And for God's sake, Liza, when did you start to hate me?
Liza: Hate you?
Tad: Yeah, hate me. How could you possibly set Krystal up like that? How could you do something like this unless you were trying to get back at me?
Liza: No, I'm not.
Tad: Well, then, what the hell is going on? I mean, it can't be jealousy. You know better than anybody in the world, I'm -- I'm just not worth it.
Liza: Old habits die hard.
Tad: No, no. I mean, how many times have you and I tried, you know, and tried and tried and it just -- it doesn't work.
Liza: You and Colby are the only two people that mean anything to me. You want to know what I hate? I hate my life. I mean, I tried -- I tried to fill it with my child and my career and you know, it works for other people. I don't -- I don't know how it works for them, but it -- it didn't work for me. I -- I want a life that's full and alive. I mean, I deserve that, don't I?
Tad: Of course you do.
Liza: I want passion. I want passion in my life, and you know what? You give that to me.
Tad: Ok, so then what? Then to hell with anything or anybody that gets in your way?
Liza: I -- I can't end up alone.
Tad: Liza? Just because you want something or someone doesn't mean you can just mow down everything that ever gets in your way.
Liza: I will never accept you with white trash. Never.
Tad: Ok. If that's the way it is, then we're done.
Kendall: Aren't you even going to ask about Bianca or Jack -- I mean, how they are, what they're doing?
Erica: How are they?
Kendall: They're scared for you and they miss you.
Erica: I miss them, too. So, is that enough? Was the trip worth it? Have you gotten what you came for?
Kendall: Have you? Mother, isn't it time to go home now?
Erica: For you, most definitely. Not for me.
Kendall: I don't understand what the hell happened to her. She's completely disconnected.
Zach: Do you want your mother released into your care?
Kendall: Yes. Yes, I do.
Zach: Give me a minute.
Kendall: Erica, she's -- she's like some -- she's like a ghost copy of herself.
Ryan: When you two walked in there, you ruined any chance that I had of making any headway with Erica.
Kendall: No, I'm sorry. Zach just told me to come with him. If I had known you were in there with Erica, I would've never interrupted you.
Ryan: Zach didn't prep you at all?
Kendall: No, not at all. Ryan, I meant what I said when I said that I would handle things your way. You believe me, don't you? Come on, Ryan, you can't turn your back on me now.
Tad: You don't want me with Krystal, you can't accept it? Well, if it's what I want, what makes you think that you would have a choice?
Liza: You deserve better.
Tad: Well, what if better is Krystal?
Liza: Krystal Carey?
Tad: Yes, Krystal Carey.
Liza: Can't you see what an insult she is? To me, to Simone? To -- to any decent woman who has ever cared about you? What about Dixie? Dixie would just be spinning --
Tad: No, no, no, no, no -- don't -- don't you dare. Don't, ok? That's -- don't bring up Dixie. That's hitting below the belt. Don't pretend that you would know her mind.
Liza: All right. Would Dixie want you with Krystal Carey?
Tad: I have no idea. I don't know, but I do know that she valued honesty. And Dixie valued spirit, and let's face it, Liza -- sweetheart, I'm sorry, but the last person in the entire world that Dixie would ever want me with is you. Please, for me -- leave Krystal alone. She's not the reason that you and I aren't together.
Liza: Maybe she's the reason that J.R. is with Babe.
Tad: What's that supposed to mean?
Liza: What if she fixed the DNA tests? What if she orchestrated that Bianca's baby conveniently became Babe's? Would you toss everything away for Krystal Carey?
David: Babe is a great kid. She's fun, she's smart.
Ron: Yo, Dave, why -- why the sell job?
David: I just think it's -- well, I think that Babe could use a father right about now.
Ron: Look, she just married into more money than I've got. I mean, her mama's got everything she ever wanted. You know, I got to -- ahem -- I got to go. I got to catch a cab. You know, thanks for lunch.
Ron: Don't bother tearing yourself away. I'll definitely be on that plane. The sooner I get away from you, the better.
Krystal: Well, I couldn't have put it better myself. Don't come back now, you hear?
David: Bon voyage. You never wanted Babe to know her father, did you?
Krystal: That creep? Please. I thought he loved me till I realized he had a gold bar where his heart should be. Honey, how could any part of a cold fish like him have made a sweet little girl like Babe? Well, he messed with my head. No way am I going to give him the chance to do the same thing to my little girl.
Tad: Oh, no, not a chance. You -- oh, man -- you need some serious help, Liza.
Liza: If you weren't afraid that Krystal did it, you would stand right here and you would discuss it with me.
Tad: There's nothing to discuss! Nothing, ok? I was there when my father ran the DNA test, ok? Krystal knew nothing about it. My father and I were the only two people involved.
Liza: She's good -- I'll tell you that much. It takes someone good to fool you completely.
Tad: Stop it. Just stop it, ok? You are not going to turn me against Krystal. Liza, you can't. And before you even think about airing those just insane allegations, you think about J.R. for a minute, ok, and about Babe and about Bianca and about the hell she's already been through. You claim you care about J.R.? Well, make no mistake -- I was there. I saw the look on his face when he thought it was his baby that died.
Liza: If the baby is Bianca's --
Tad: It's not! That baby belongs to J.R. and Babe, ok? It's absolutely impossible, and if those two kids get so much as a hint of this insanity, I will know exactly where it came from and why and make no mistake, Liza -- I will make you pay for it. I will make you pay for every single piece of misery that you cause.
Liza: Tad --
Tad: No! No! Just -- hear me, please. I really -- I really need you to understand this, ok? And if you keep at this, we won't be friends, either. You will be nothing to me.
Mia: Bianca, you have the magic touch. You really do.
Bianca: Oh, well, I just -- I read in a book that if you just stroke their cheeks, it soothes them.
Jamie: Oh, I forgot -- I want to show you something on my computer.
Babe: Ok. You mind watching after Bess for a few?
Bianca: You don't even have to ask. There is nothing that I enjoy more than holding this little girl.
Simone: Scatter! Iceberg dead ahead!
Bianca: Hey, look who I got.
Greenlee: Yeah. I see that. Bianca, are you all right?
Bianca: I'm fine. How are you?
Ryan: I believe you. Zach Slater, I don't trust.
Kendall: Ok, so he lied to us about Erica and where she was, but -- but at least he was protecting her.
Ryan: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's his story.
Kendall: Why? I mean, what, do you think he's after something from Erica?
Ryan: I don't know, Kendall, but he cannot follow us when we take Erica out of here.
Kendall: Ok, so do you want me to keep him busy?
Ryan: Um -- next idea.
Kendall: No. I don't understand what the big deal is. I'll -- I'll divert his attention, I'll distract him. Maybe I'll even find out something.
Ryan: Look, Erica warned me about him, ok?
Kendall: Yeah. Zach got her committed against her will. Erica can't stand when other people try to control her, even though he was trying to save her from herself.
Ryan: Whose side are you on?
Kendall: I'm on my mother's side, but Zach might be, too, and if he's not, then we'll find out. If -- if he's any threat to her, Ryan, I want to know.
Ryan: I'm not comfortable with this.
Kendall: Look, she won't even talk to me, ok, Ryan? This might be the only thing that I can do to help my mother. Please?
Ryan: Fine. Any hint of danger, anything, you call me, I'm there.
Kendall: Saving Kane women seems to be your specialty.
Ryan: Hey, I thought you were supposed to be saving me.
Kendall: That's still an option -- if you'll let me.
Ryan: I assume you have news -- otherwise, you wouldn't be hiding around the corner listening to our private conversation.
Zach: Your mother's free to go in your care.
Kendall: Ok, but she won't go with me. She'll only go with Ryan, so isn't there something I can sign to delegate her care over to him, just so we can get her back to the hotel?
Zach: Is that what you want?
Kendall: Yeah. It's the only way.
Zach: All right. I'll take care of it.
Kendall: Ok. Could you just drive me back to your hotel?
Zach: Sure. The office is this way.
Ryan: Erica, why don't you get changed, gather up your stuff. We have been officially sprung.
Erica: I'm not going anywhere with you.
Ryan: Oh, Erica, you called me in Pine Valley to come here and --
Erica: That was before you blindsided me.
Ryan: I didn't blindside you.
Erica: You brought Kendall.
Ryan: Erica, my jet was about to take off. She just came on in the last minute.
Erica: Look, you're wasting your breath and you're wasting my time. What kind of a game are you playing?
Greenlee: I'm assuming Babe is here.
Bianca: Yes, she's with Jamie.
Greenlee: All righty.
Simone: Ok. Do you want my bad news --
Mia: Or mine?
Greenlee: Some choice.
Simone: We've called everyone.
Mia: Yeah, I can't even get them to hold the shipment. Once it's in motion, it gets delivered on schedule.
Simone: Yeah, and nobody can go up to San Francisco this quickly and make up for Babette's slack.
Greenlee: I'd like to take up her slack and hang her with it.
Greenlee: Ok. One of us has to go to California.
Simone: I'll go. Well, Fusion can't spare you, Greenlee, and Kendall is doing God knows what in Las Vegas, and besides, the Golden Gate Bridge is so romantic, and I've got convertible hair.
Mia: I'm sorry -- did I miss something?
Simone: Well, picture this -- me in a red convertible driving across the Golden Gate Bridge with some bronze god with my hair streaming behind in the wind. It's beautiful.
Greenlee: Thanks for giving me zero confidence. Ha!
Simone: Hey, I can get the job done!
Greenlee: You'd spend your time trying to tell the straight hunks from the gay hunks.
Simone: I'll tell you, my gaydar has been all gummed up for this metrosexual thing.
Greenlee: Mia, are you up for it?
Mia: I love San Francisco!
Simone: Wait a minute -- I'm the one that volunteered!
Greenlee: In San Francisco, you'd go the way of Babette and I would spend my time trying to track you down and whatever guy you're obsessed with and kill you both.
Simone: I'm a Niner fan.
Simone: You know what? This whole backlash on Kendall really is a drag. You should get over it. Get out of my way.
Mia: I promise you, I swear I will not let you down.
Greenlee: Ok, it's not for a long time -- just until we get everything worked out, and I want you to work full-tilt and don't do anything crazy like lose your heart in San Francisco.
Mia: I -- I won't, not at all. I -- oh, I have so much to do. I have to pack, I have dry cleaning to pick up. Listen, just for the record, my money is definitely on you and Ryan. Thank you!
Greenlee: I wish he'd call and tell me the same thing.
Ryan: Erica, we both know how stubborn she is. Yes, I let her hitch a ride on my plane, but I had nothing to do with her showing up here. That was Zach's contribution to the little party.
Erica: Zach Slater brought Kendall here without your knowing?
Ryan: Yes, and I'm as angry as you, maybe more.
Erica: Couldn't be.
Ryan: I'll tell you what -- I will send Kendall back to Pine Valley, and I'll stay on here -- just with -- with you.
Erica: You would do that?
Ryan: I can stick around as long as you want, just you and me. I mean, you missed a lot back home. I can explain my marriage to Greenlee, and I can tell you what happened to Kendall, among other things.
Erica: So much has happened.
Ryan: Step one -- get you out of this place.
Erica: I can't go back to the hotel. I can't see him again.
Ryan: Zach Slater? Don't worry -- you don't have to.
Zach: You look like you could use a drink.
Kendall: Huh. Seeing my mother like that could put me off alcohol for life.
Zach: I'm sorry things didn't go well.
Kendall: That's all right -- I'm used to it. My mother and I -- our relationship has always been a little confusing. This whole past year has -- it's been crazy. It's -- it's a long story.
Zach: Yeah, your sister was raped, rapist was killed, and you stood trial for the murder. That's the short list.
Kendall: You're pretty well informed.
Zach: You thought everything was going to be ok when your sister didn't have to go to jail. Then the helicopter crashed, the baby died -- it's no wonder Erica ran.
Kendall: Did my mother tell you all of this?
Zach: A lot of it and then the rest was in the papers.
Kendall: Are you having an affair with her?
Zach: Am I -- am -- no. I am -- I am not. She's a fascinating woman, but a little too difficult for me.
Kendall: Hmm. Like mother, like daughter -- the difficult part, anyway.
Zach: Fascinating part, as well.
Kendall: Hmm. My mother might be available, but I'm not.
Zach: Don't flatter yourself. Now, Lavery is married to somebody else.
Kendall: The subject is my mother.
Zach: It is? I thought the subject was me. I thought you wanted to find more about who I am. I mean, that's why Lavery sent you here, right?
Kendall: Ryan didn't send me. He didn't. I -- but I just need to know. I want to know what you are to my mother. I mean, should I be concerned?
Zach: Erica's so right about you.
Kendall: Why? What did she say?
Zach: You have a real problem trusting people.
Kendall: Ok, well, why don't you give me one good reason why I should trust you.
Zach: Ok, I will soon as I come up with one. Kendall, if I were you, I wouldn't trust me at all.
Kendall: Ok, so I do have reason to worry.
Zach: That's not what I said.
Kendall: Are you being honest with me, Mr. Slater?
Zach: Even if I were being honest, would you believe me?
Kendall: All right. Obviously, there's no point in continuing this, is there?
Zach: No, no, no, no, there is. You said you want to know my story, and now I want to tell it. I'm glad you're sitting down.
Zach: When I was 17, I was on my own, and I did pretty much everything that required sweat and that means working on ranches in Australia, I was on oil rigs in the Atlantic, and I -- what -- oh, I set explosives, turned mountains into roads, and I got a pilot's license, flew cargo for a few years.
Kendall: Ok, so what prepared you to be a casino owner?
Zach: I always liked gambling. And I won my first casino in a card game in Tahoe. I kind of took to it -- I don't know why -- and now I have five.
Kendall: Like a hand of poker.
Zach: Like a hand of poker. It works for me, today anyway. Tomorrow? I don't know. And as far as your mother goes, you know, people like that -- you know, wealthy people, celebrities -- they come to Vegas to escape and I -- I facilitate that.
Kendall: You've done a lot more than that for her.
Zach: Your mother had a problem, and she was going to be no good to me or anybody else if she didn't get it sorted out. Can I ask you a question?
Zach: Whether you trust me or not, it's all the same to me. The important thing is that your mother survived this time. Now, when you tell me how much you love her, why are you concerned about anything else?
Erica: Zach Slater is as clueless as everybody else -- thinking that I have a drinking problem? He doesn't even know me. He doesn't know me at all -- nobody knows what I've been through.
Ryan: Well, we'll have plenty of time for you to tell me all about it.
Erica: And everybody has these times of crisis in their lives, things, demons that they have to face. That doesn't mean that I won't get through it -- I will. I will just as soon as I figure out what my next step is.
Ryan: And that's what I'm here for. I can help you, we can do this together.
Erica: Well, I'll need a few minutes to pull myself together.
Ryan: Ok, but you're not going to pull a fast one on me? You're not going to go back on our deal?
Erica: You've come all this way. Not a chance.
Bianca: Do you want to hold her, Greenlee? Make you feel better.
Greenlee: You're kidding, right? Spit up on this dress, it'd be a rag. I'd be suicidal.
Bianca: Isn't she funny?
Greenlee: Isn't she serious! But thanks -- I know you're trying.
Bianca: Well, kiddo, you can drool and spit up on me as much as you want.
Jamie: Ah, there. Yeah, these look a lot better on this monitor.
Babe: This is awesome -- oh, my God -- and very, very impressive. You know, computers hate me.
Jamie: That's because they hate everyone. We just have to show them who's boss. Now, I can show you how to do this -- a digital camera and you're set. I mean, we can make cards out of any of these.
Babe: Really? Oh, look at this one. Look at Adam.
Babe: Happy Father's Day.
Jamie: This is my favorite.
Babe: Oh, she was so exhausted.
Jamie: Yeah, you two look exactly alike. Are you guys trying to decide who she's going to look like when she's older -- you or J.R.?
Jamie: Babe, what is it? What's wrong?
[Babe feels pangs of guilt watching Bianca cuddling her baby]
Liza: You're going to California?
Mia: Yes! That's what I've been telling you for the last 15 minutes! I might be there for the whole summer, and if I'm successful, I might be there longer.
Liza: Well, you will be.
Mia: Come with me.
Liza: To California?
Mia: Yes! To California. Come on, it would be such fun.
Liza: Well --
Mia: Colby's almost out of school. She'll have time off. We can pack up our bags. We can have a summer adventure!
Liza: Well, that would be wonderful.
Mia: It would be a blast!
Liza: But I can't. I'm working on something big right now, and I can't walk away.
Krystal: The night he dumped me, it was at a party, end of his third year. It was one of those slam booze fests you guys used to go to.
David: Forget it. I'd say I remember it well, but I usually judge those parties the next day by how fried I was.
Krystal: I was just so proud to walk in there with Ron. And then, his hometown girlfriend walked in -- you know, one of those "Flashdance" ripped sweatshirt things? He took me over to a table of guys and handed me over like a plate of nachos.
Krystal: Nah. They were all too wasted to see the tears. And it was for the better. I mean, the guy was a jerk. I just finally figured it out.
David: Wait a minute -- was that -- was somebody passing around lab rats for adoption?
Krystal: Yeah! That was the party! You were there?
David: Well, not for the rats!
Krystal: Oh. Well, I got dumped by the biggest rat there.
David: Well, trust me -- I don't remember anything else.
Krystal: Hmm. You know, I vaguely -- I vaguely recall this revenge makeout session with another guy there.
David: Really? And how'd Ron take that?
Krystal: Oh, please. He didn't care. He left with Miss "Flashdance." What a feeling!
Krystal: And then I found out I was pregnant.
David: And you told him?
Krystal: I don't even think he recognized me, he moved on so fast. Yeah, I can almost laugh about it now, but at the time, I thought I was going to die. Can you imagine that -- over a worm like Ron? I mean, I would've hated life with him. I'll tell you what -- if he hurts my Babe, I am going to end more than his medical career.
David: There really isn't much that you wouldn't do for your daughter, is there?
Krystal: That's the way it's always been, and by God, that's the way it's going to stay.
David: Oh, great. Just when you're having fun, in walks trouble.
Kendall: Ryan, what happened to my mother?
Ryan: Erica's gone.
Greenlee: You know how I said I thought I could handle this without you? Well, I was wrong. I hate talking on your voicemail, and I really need to see you, so I'm on my way. Bye.
Jamie: Is it J.R.? Babe, everything's all right with you two.
Babe: J.R.'s great. We're great. He loves that little girl more and more every day.
Tad: Could you do me a big favor -- just start me a tab.
Krystal: I got one.
Tad: Have another.
David: Well, are we going to toast to something in particular or --
Krystal: How about to seeing the last of Babe's good-for-nothing Daddy?
Tad: Here's how.
Krystal: If Ron missed his plane, call the ER and tell them to get it warmed up.
Man: Dr. Hayward, that DNA test you ordered is in. I just got the results.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Greenlee: Kendall followed Ryan to Las Vegas.
Greenlee: You have to get her back here before she ruins everything.
Kendall: Don't cut me off now, ok? If you do, we'll regret it.
J.R.: You're not coming home with us.
David: Did you ever regret keeping your secret?
Krystal: What secret?
David: The big one -- about the baby?
