Greenlee: Juan Pablo.
Juan Pablo: Greenlee, you should not be here.
Greenlee: Last I heard, Joe Martin runs this hospital, and he said I could get up and stretch my legs.
Juan Pablo: So stretch them elsewhere. You're not wanted here.
Greenlee: Tough. You're not getting rid of me.
Tad: Yeah, hi. Juan Pablo, it's Tad. I just thought I'd leave you a message. I haven't heard from you in a while. I'm a little concerned about the Calatravases, ok? So do me a favor -- as soon as you get this message, just call me at home, all right, let me know you're alive. I'd appreciate it.
Tad: I'll get it later. Oh, right on time.
Liza: You rang?
Tad: Yeah, I need your brain.
Liza: Can't have my brain without the body.
Tad: That's a heck of a twofer. What is that? Didn't I see you on television with Madonna?
Liza: Don't encourage her. Colby, why don't you go upstairs and watch TV in Jamie's room.
Colby: Cool. Is "Dynasty" on?
Tad: Somewhere in the world, undoubtedly.
Liza: Come on. Let's go. And take the headset off, please.
Tad: Dare I ask?
Liza: Oh, thank Babe. She's dressing her in her image.
Tad: Yeah, well, don't look now, but I think Ellie Mae got a little too close to the face paint.
Liza: No, honestly, Colby has lost all sense of modesty and self-respect because of this woman.
Tad: Well, thanks to Babe, my son may have lost a whole lot more than that.
Liza: What? Wait, wait, wait. Are you talking about Jamie?
Tad: Quite possibly. Probably, even.
Liza: What makes you say that?
Tad: It all started with a cow.
Babe: Is that my hunk-a-hunk of burning love?
Babe: That's how much I missed you.
J.R.: Babe, I wasn't gone that long.
Babe: Just seemed like forever for me. I just wanted to show you what I got.
J.R.: What'd you do, buy out the whole store?
Babe: I didn't buy a thing, J.R. Somebody got it for me.
J.R.: Hmm? Oh, yeah. Where'd you get that?
Lena: Kendall didn't poison the allergy capsules that Ryan took. I did.
Bianca: Lena, don't say that.
Lena: It's the truth. I didn't mean to hurt Ryan. I left those capsules there for Michael.
Lena: Why? Because I wanted him to die a slow, agonizing death.
Justin: Wow. That's -- that's some confession you just made, Ms. Kundera.
Derek: Yeah, I'd like to hear it again, in more detail.
Kendall: No, Lena, don't.
Lena: I have nothing to hide, Kendall.
Kendall: No, I mean it. Keep your mouth shut.
Derek: Ease off, Kendall.
Jack: You and McCoy just take a break, would you?
Justin: Jack, she just confessed to attempted murder!
Jack: Yeah, and you can't question her without an attorney present. You bring charges against her, it'll be tossed out of the court --
Derek: Not if she waives her right to an attorney, Jack!
Aidan: Remember what I said, Lena. You have rights, rights that will protect you.
Lena: Protect me from what, the truth? Everybody knew what Michael was capable of, and I was his match in every way.
Jack: Lena, Lena, Lena, Lena, -- please, please -- please, I urge you to seek counsel before you say another word.
Lena: Why, so they can twist the truth and get me out of this?
Aidan: Listen to Jackson.
Lena: No, Ryan almost died because of me -- an innocent man. Forget the lawyers. Let me just clear my conscience once and for all.
Derek: Yeah, that's right, Ms. Kundera. Let's go someplace a little more private.
Lena: No, let's do it out here, out in the open, in front of witnesses. Let's them judge me. That night after the hearing, I came up with a plan to murder Michael Cambias, and I executed it.
Juan Pablo: Perhaps I didn't make myself clear.
Greenlee: Oh, no, you did. You're cutting me out of your life because you think I sold you and Carlos out to the tabs. Well, I didn't. And if you don't believe me, you can go to hell. I'm here to see Carlos.
Juan Pablo: My brother would not welcome you.
Greenlee: You don't get to decide that, ok? If you want to think the worst of me, go for it. But Carlos doesn't. You going to call him off?
Maria: Hi, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Hey. How's he doing?
Maria: Well, he's holding his own.
Greenlee: Has he woken up or said anything?
Maria: No, he hasn't. He's been in and out of consciousness.
Greenlee: Hey, you. It's me, Greenlee.
Juan Pablo: Let them come. I'll kill them! I'll kill them all!
Maria: Listen to me. You got to stop it right now!
Tad: All right, here you go.
Liza: Thank you. Jamie and Babe and a cow -- I'm sorry, but I just don't make the connection.
Tad: No, the cow's what brought them together.
Liza: Hmm. Matchmaking cow. I think you're spending a little bit too much time with Simone.
Tad: Just bear with me, ok?
Liza: Ok, now I'm really confused now. Is this about a bear?
Tad: Just shut up and listen.
Liza: Ok. I'm listening. I'm udderly fascinated.
Tad: That's good. Udderly -- see what you did there? That's really good. Ok, fine. It all started the night before J.R. sprung his new bride on the clan McChandler, all right? Jamie went to this party, this beach party, pulled an all-nighter, and when he got home the next morning, it was painfully obvious that he'd met a girl.
Liza: Cute little heifer, I bet.
Tad: Yeah. Anyway, flash-forward to the next night. Babe is the guest of honor at J.R.'s little dinner party.
Tad: Both Brooke and I couldn't help but notice that Jamie was very, very bummed, and he's been that way ever since.
Liza: Maybe he had a slight case of mad cow.
Tad: Ok. The next morning, after the Babe bombshell had been dropped, this guy shows up at Brooke's house, right, claiming that Jamie and some cute little blonde had stole the plastic cow off the sign of his restaurant.
Liza: Plastic cow thieving. What's the penalty for that these days?
Tad: I have no idea. However, I have been to Adam's twice and seen this painting of a cow that Stuart wants to give to Babe. Apparently, she loves them and she collects them.
Liza: Bovinophilia is very big these days.
Tad: Here's the kicker -- since the cow caper, Brooke came across this bracelet with a cow charm on it that Jamie was trying to throw away.
Liza: All right, so what you're saying is all the cow clues are connected, and somehow if we just follow the hoofprints --
Tad: We're going to find out that Jamie slept with his brother's wife.
Liza: I don't know, Tad. Maybe you're on to something.
Tad: I'm not the only one. Adam's closing in on Jamie and Babe, too, and he's using Mary Smythe to do it.
Babe: I love it. Isn't it adorable?
J.R.: Yeah, where did you get it? Where'd it come from?
Babe: I just figured that Uncle Stuart gave it to me, figuring how he gave me that cow painting and him just being so sweet.
Babe: Totally night and day from your --
J.R.: You can say it. Uncle Stuart's a lot different than my dad.
Babe: It's just funny how two such different people can hatch from the same egg, you know?
J.R.: Yeah. One's totally terrifying --
Babe: Hey, honey, let's not waste time trashing your dad. Tell me how it went with your friend.
J.R.: Oh, Kendall? She's got herself in some deep trouble this time.
Babe: What kind of trouble is she in?
J.R.: Well, the cops think that she poisoned Ryan Lavery.
Babe: Ryan, the guy that's going to let you run your daddy's company?
J.R.: Yeah, only he's laid up in the hospital right now and the cops are blaming Kendall.
Babe: But why would she poison him?
J.R.: They were engaged. I mean, it's a long story, but now they're fighting over a billion-dollar empire.
Babe: Oh, this story has got everything but shoulder pads and a Krystal-Alexis catfight.
J.R.: But, see, this battle can be dragged out for a lot of years, which puts my plans of taking over Chandler Enterprises on hold indefinitely.
Babe: Could that be such a bad thing?
J.R.: I want to take my -- I want to take the place as head of Chandler, but not if it means Kendall losing everything.
Babe: Oh, baby. You got such a big heart. I could just dive right in and never come up for air.
[Knock on door]
Mary: Hi. What a nice surprise. I hope you came by to continue our little heart-to-heart.
Jamie: I'm here for Babe.
Babe: Baby, let's go upstairs and stoke this fire.
J.R.: I wish I could.
Babe: Why can't you?
J.R.: Because I got business to take care of.
Babe: You going to leave me all alone with nothing to do?
J.R.: I promise you won't be bored. Look, see, there's my brother right now. He's going to show you around town.
Tad: Liza, I'm not imagining things. Adam and Mary are double-teaming to bring Babe down.
Liza: And Jamie's collateral damage?
Tad: Not yet. I'll grind those two into powder before they start messing with my son.
Liza: Ok, do you really think that Jamie and Babe --
Tad: No, do I -- do I believe that he would intentionally sleep with his brother's wife? Do I want to believe it? No. Of course not.
Liza: They're newlyweds. Babe is a newlywed. I mean, she looked simply besotted with J.R. when they were at the party.
Tad: Yeah, I know, but they've been together for, what, like three -- count them -- three weeks. What is that, the cotton swab anniversary?
Liza: Jamie loves his brother, and Jamie's not going to do anything to hurt him.
Tad: So what do you make of the cow connection?
Liza: I think maybe it just might be a case of parental paranoia.
Tad: You think I'm jumping to conclusions.
Liza: I think it might just be a big cow-incidence.
Babe: If anyone can show a girl a good time, I'm sure it's your brother.
Babe: So, what kind of good time are we talking about?
J.R.: Well, Jamie's going to take you around the PVU campus. Babe said she was interested in auditing a couple of courses.
Jamie: Oh, any subject in particular?
Babe: Anything 101 would be just fine by me, as long as they grade on the curve.
J.R.: And while you two kids are checking out the campus, I'm going to hole up in the library and take some crash courses on Chandler Enterprises.
Babe: Oh, forget all that boring stuff, J.R., and you be my big man on campus. Pretty please?
J.R.: Babe, I can't. Not this time. If Chandler's going to come down to me, I got to get off to a running start. Now, you watch out for those varsity football players. No forward passes, all right? Take good care of her, Jamie, all right?
Jamie: I won't let her out of my sight. Ready?
Babe: Ready for what? The campus tour? That's not what I want from you, Jamie.
J.R.: Mary, if you're looking for Adam --
Mary: No, actually, I was looking for Babe.
J.R.: In the library?
Mary: Why not? There's so many good books to choose from. This one, for instance, is a classic. It's "Animal Farm."
J.R.: Babe left.
Mary: She did? That's odd. We had a date to go shopping. I was going to give her a new look.
J.R.: Babe doesn't need a new look. She's perfect the way she is.
Mary: Oh, no, no, no. I didn't mean a total makeover. I just meant toning her down a little bit.
J.R.: Oh, I see. To look more like you?
Mary: I'd be happy to offer myself as a role model.
J.R.: I don't want my wife looking like the daughter of phony lineage. There's enough snobs in this town.
Mary: I'm sorry. I hit a nerve. I apologize.
J.R.: Well, you've got bed and board here because I stood up for you. Now, you give Babe any grief, you're out of here.
Mary: I -- I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I'm not the enemy. I have to admit, I was a little taken aback when you first introduced Babe as your wife.
J.R.: And why is that?
Mary: Well, Babe just didn't seem to be your type, I thought. But now I see how much you love her, and she's just so open and spontaneous. Now, I'm not the only one who's taken with her.
Mary: No. You'd be surprised at how many admirers she's collected in her short time in Pine Valley.
J.R.: Hmm. Well, why don't you surprise me.
Greenlee: You saved my life, Carlos. That car that hit you hit me, too. And I lost a few years of my life and I acted like a fool. But you could do the same. Just pick a year, any year. Just wake up and tell me where you are. Come back to us, Carlos. Your brother needs you.
Maria: Listen to me. Look, I know that you're angry, ok? I know that you're scared for your brother.
Juan Pablo: You know nothing.
Maria: I have a sister that's in the same situation.
Juan Pablo: But you also have a husband and children to go home to.
Maria: How can I help you? How can I help?
Juan Pablo: Release Carlos.
Juan Pablo: Today.
Maria: I can't. It is too risky.
Juan Pablo: It is too risky if he stays!
Maria: No, I really think that he's -- I think that Carlos is safe for right now. Two of the Calatravas assassins are in the jail right now, and the other two that were being followed by the Feds have just dropped off the meter. They've dropped out of sight.
Juan Pablo: But they're still out there, and the best way to stop them is to disappear.
Maria: What about Greenlee?
Juan Pablo: She accepts that I no longer love her. That will make it easier for her to forget me and go on with her life.
Maria: But what about you? Will you be able to forget her?
Juan Pablo: I must look out for my brother. It's what I should have done from the start.
Maria: Ok, but you can't change the past. There's nothing you can do to change the past.
Juan Pablo: He was only 14 when I sent him away. I should have gone with him.
Maria: People make choices.
Juan Pablo: And I made the wrong one. I played polo while my brother grew up in the dark. That's no way to live.
Maria: I know. It's hard to imagine a future when you're constantly looking over your shoulder.
Juan Pablo: And now Carlos is fighting for his life while others try to end it. I won't let that happen. It is my turn to save my brother's life.
Greenlee: Maria, hurry. It's Carlos.
Lena: After the hearing, I was in shock. Michael got off. It was unthinkable. I knew better than most how sick and twisted he was, but the worst was what he did to Bianca. And there he was, a free man, free to terrorize her all over again. And I knew that he would because with Michael, once you're his target, one attack was never enough. He'd come after you time and time and time again until he broke you. And he came after you, Bianca, because you were innocent and good and trusting, and he would never have left you alone until he crushed you and there was nothing left, until you were empty, just like he was. So I had to stop him. But I had to be careful. Michael's smart. I had to be smarter.
Derek: Is that where the pills come in?
Lena: Yes. I knew that Michael had allergies and that he took over-the-counter medicine for them. So, the night of the hearing, I bought the poison. The following morning, I put on a pair of gloves and I broke into his house when he wasn't there. I found the pills, and I filled some of them with poison, and then I just waited. And when I heard that he was missing, I just prayed that he'd taken a lethal dose and crawled under some rock to die. And that's it. I conspired to kill Michael Cambias. You can arrest me now and let Kendall go.
Jack: Lena, the first thing we're going to have to do is to make this statement formal, all right?
Lena: Yes. I'm sorry. Forgive me for making any more trouble.
Bianca: I don't want them to lock you up, Lena.
Lena: It's ok. Remember what I said. Going to prison won't be a punishment. It'll be like a reward.
Kendall: So, can I go now?
Derek: I'll let you know your status after we get Lena's formal statement.
Bianca: It's not right. The only thing that -- everything that Lena did, she did to protect me.
Maggie: Bianca --
Bianca: I'm the one who should be punished, not her. All she did was love me. All she did --
Kendall: Bianca --
Aidan: Whoa. Easy.
Maggie: It's all right.
Aidan: Easy. Take it easy.
Bianca: It's ok. I'm ok.
Aidan: You're as white as a sheet. I think I'm going to call a doctor.
Bianca: Oh, I don't need a doctor.
Aidan: Come on, just to be safe.
Kendall: No, Aidan, leave her alone. She's fine, she's fine.
Aidan: She looks everything but fine.
Kendall: No, Aidan, listen to me, ok? She's upset, all right? Lena just dropped a major bombshell on her.
Aidan: Bianca just keeled over, Kendall.
Kendall: Yeah, she needs a few minutes to get herself together, not a doctor.
Aidan: And calling the doctor's not going to do any harm.
Kendall: Aidan, just back off, ok?
Aidan: What are you not telling me, Kendall?
Jack: Just give me a moment, please.
Derek: Fine, fine, fine.
Jack: Lena, I know how much you care about Bianca.
Lena: I love her.
Jack: I know you do. And you saw how upset she was when Kendall was arrested.
Lena: It broke my heart to watch her beg to have her sister released.
Jack: And you would do anything in your power to make sure that Bianca had no more suffering ever, wouldn't you?
Lena: I'd give my life.
Jack: Yes. Tell me something, Lena -- is that what you just did in here? Did you claim to put the poison in those capsules so you could ease Bianca's pain? Did you confess to a crime that you did not commit in order to keep Kendall out of jail?
Lena: I poisoned those pills, and I can prove it. Call Dr. Hayward. Call Dr. Grey. They'll tell you that I used that very same poison to try and take another life -- my own.
Greenlee: He opened his eyes, and he tried to say something, but I couldn't make it out.
Juan Pablo: Carlos. Carlos.
Maria: Ok, what does that mean?
Greenlee: I told him that when I woke up, I acted like a fool. Carlos. Carlos, we're all here.
Juan Pablo: Si.
Carlos: Que pasa? [What happened?]
Juan Pablo: Un Calatravas te guiso atropellar. Greenlee estaba con vos y empujaste para salvarla. [A Calatravas drove into you to knock you down. Greenlee was with you, and you pushed her to save her.]
Maria: I'll see you guys a little later, ok?
Juan Pablo: You will be ok. And I will be by your side for the rest of your life.
Mia: What? Oh, my gosh, not again.
Simone: You know what? Every single time we come to see Greenlee, she's MIA.
Mia: We should call a nurse.
Simone: Yeah, that's a good idea. Hey, there you are. Mia, quickly, grab her good arm and let's strap her to the bed.
Mia: I thought you had doctor's orders.
Greenlee: It's ok. I'm free to wander at will. I should be getting out of here soon.
Simone: Well, that's great.
Mia: Good. We brought takeout.
Simone: Yeah, we can celebrate your release.
Mia: Greenlee --
Simone: Ok. This is not you jumping for joy.
Greenlee: I just came from visiting Carlos.
Simone: Oh, my God.
Greenlee: No, no, no, he's better. He's awake, he's talking.
Mia: Oh. That's great.
Simone: Juan Pablo must be relieved out of his mind.
Greenlee: I hate Juan Pablo.
Mia: What? Why?
Greenlee: He dumped me, cut me right out of his life.
Simone: No, Greenlee, Juan Pablo worships you.
Greenlee: Yeah, right. That's why he thinks I told someone at "The Exposer" where Carlos is hiding out.
Simone: Greenlee, there is no way that Juan Pablo believes that.
Greenlee: You weren't there, Simone, when he put me through the woodchipper.
Simone: No, but I heard Juan Pablo ream out Mary Smythe. He knows that she's the one that ratted Carlos out to "the Exposer."
Simone: Yeah. I slapped her silly myself when I heard.
Greenlee: When did this happen?
Simone: Yesterday afternoon while we were in the hospital sun porch. Yes, and Tad was there. We were just about this close to skinning your mother alive.
Greenlee: Well, it fits. She hates Juan Pablo.
Mia: Then how can Juan Pablo blame you for "the Exposer" thing?
Greenlee: I don't know, but he does. He made it painfully clear, and he never once mentioned my mother.
Simone: You know what? I'm going to get down to the bottom of this.
Mia: You know, this is just a misunderstanding. Juan Pablo loves you, and it's going to be ok.
Greenlee: I don't know, Mia.
Juan Pablo: Greenlee, forgive me. I was wrong. I love you. I love you with all my heart.
Maria: Hey. Bet you this is a day you will not forget soon.
Juan Pablo: My brother came back to me.
Maria: So, he came back because Greenlee helped bring him back.
Juan Pablo: I love her. I don't want to leave her behind.
Maria: Then don't. Take her with you.
Liza: Listen, if you called me over here for some advice, this is it -- Jamie and Babe -- you shouldn't think of them as anything more than in-laws.
Tad: Hmm. And I accused Brooke of being an overly protective parent.
Liza: Maybe you just need to get your act together.
Tad: My act is just fine, thank you very much.
Liza: I don't know about that. I think you may be in need of a few new jokes.
Tad: Excuse me?
Liza: Ok, what about this one -- how do cows do math?
Tad: No! No more cow humor.
Liza: How do cows do math?
Tad: I don't know. How do cows do math?
Liza: They use a cow-culator.
Tad: It's just painful. It's not even funny.
Liza: Colby has a million of them. Just try one.
Tad: Yeah, like I got an arsenal --
Liza: Make one up.
Tad: What do cows do on Saturday afternoons?
Liza: I don't know. What?
Tad: They go to the moo-vie. You see that? You see that?
Liza: That was good.
Tad: Expectation --
Liza: I liked it.
Tad: Kind of like built you up, and you go right in there.
Simone: I'm sorry to break up this laugh fest.
Tad: Hey, Simone.
Simone: I'm sorry, Liza. Tad, I really need to talk to you, privately.
Liza: Selling thin mints? Colby, we got to go! Come on, sweetie!
Tad: Thanks for coming by.
Liza: Yeah, just don't "cowtow" to any sneaking suspicions.
Tad: That's good. You see, build them up, and sneak in --
Tad: Bovine humor.
Liza: You could write a book on this. Come on, baby.
Colby: Can we stop at the mall and get a tattoo?
Liza: Yeah, you know what? As soon as your father gets a pierced ear, we'll get you a tattoo. How does that sound? Or maybe a nose ring. A ring through your nose, like Uncle Tad.
Tad: So, what's the problem?
Tad: Men? With you, that's always an emergency.
Simone: Yeah. Juan Pablo dumped Greenlee. He thinks she tipped off "The Exposer" and put Carlos in the crosshairs. Now, you and I both know that that's not true. We know that he knows that it was Mary. So we have to get this clear and get those two back together.
Tad: We can't. I know he turned on Greenlee, and I tried to talk him out of it, but for his own reasons, he wouldn't change his mind.
Simone: I don't get that.
Tad: The only thing that any of us have to get for now is that Juan Pablo and Greenlee are over. That's end of story.
Simone: That's it, just like that?
Tad: Just like that.
Simone: Well, then forget him and the polo pony he rode in on. So, more importantly, what's our story? Huh?
Kendall: You feeling better?
Bianca: Yeah, I am, a little bit.
Maggie: How about some water?
Bianca: Yeah, that sounds great.
Kendall: Hey -- should I call David?
Bianca: Kendall, the baby and I are just fine.
Kendall: Are you sure? I was really -- I was really touched by the way you stood up for me out there, the way you just jumped up and shouted how much you needed me.
Bianca: You know what, Kendall? It was the truth. I do need you now. You're my sister. I love you.
Kendall: I love you, too. And I'm going to fight for you. I'm going to fight for you and Lena. I'm going to convince her that she needs a really great lawyer, and I'm going to put together a dream team, and they're going to be unbeatable.
Bianca: Kendall, you have your own battles to fight right now.
Kendall: You mean with Ryan? No, we can play Clash of the Titans anytime. You're family. You are so strong. You're a champion. You're going to make an amazing mother. Amazing.
Jack: I still think it's a good idea that you get --
Derek: I talked to Maria Grey.
Derek: She confirmed that Ms. Kundera swallowed the same poison that we found in the allergy capsules.
Jack: My God, Lena, I'm so sorry. I had no idea.
Lena: No, let's just finish this, ok? You have all the proof that you need, so go ahead and charge me with attempted murder.
Derek: I have a few more questions first.
Lena: Go ahead.
Derek: You put poison in those capsules because you were hoping that Cambias would swallow them.
Justin: But obviously he never even got around to taking them.
Lena: Apparently not.
Derek: Well, didn't you realize the insecticide was a long shot?
Justin: Especially when you said you only doctored some of the capsules, right?
Lena: What are you getting at?
Derek: What we're saying is that maybe the pills were a blind.
Justin: Could be that, or maybe you decided to go home and you couldn't leave Michael Cambias' death to chance.
Derek: So you went out, and you got yourself a gun, and you shot him.
Lena: I did not shoot Michael. I have no idea who did.
Derek: Well, I don't believe you.
Jamie: Babe, we had a deal. No more sneaking around again.
Babe: I know that, Jamie. But I can also see that you're not exactly charged to show me around PVU campus.
Jamie: So, what do you suggest?
Babe: I don't know. You drop me off in town, and I go buy a couple books that weigh a ton and look all collegey, and I'll cab it back and tell J.R. I sat in on a class.
Jamie: What class?
Babe: I don't know. Some big brain-buster. Microbiochemical, geometrical, astrological something.
Jamie: I don't think J.R.'s going to fall for that one.
Babe: Yeah, but it got a laugh out of you, didn't it?
Jamie: Look, if you're really serious about auditing classes, I think you should check out PVU.
Babe: You sure?
Jamie: Grab your jacket. Wait -- where did you get that?
J.R.: You say Babe has admirers. What do you mean by that?
Mary: I just mean she makes friends wherever she goes.
J.R.: Are you being sarcastic? Are you making fun of my wife?
Mary: No. Babe has a lot of people rooting for her.
J.R.: Name one.
Mary: Well, Stuart, me, and I'm sure Adam will come around eventually.
J.R.: I don't think so.
Mary: Oh, J.R., you've got to be patient with your father. Like me, he has difficulty dealing with his adult children. And I have made more mistakes with Greenlee in my life than I wish to count, and I regret every single one of them.
J.R.: See, my father doesn't do regrets.
Mary: That couldn't be further from the truth. He wants desperately to work things out with you this time.
J.R.: No, my father wants to retool me into his image. He wants Babe out of here. But I'm going to live my life the way that I live my life. Babe stays. Now, if you don't mind, I have work to do.
Mary: Oh, Jamie came a while ago.
J.R.: Yeah, he's picking up Babe, take her out.
Mary: Does that concern you?
J.R.: Should it?
Mary: No, I guess not. But you do know Jamie was one of those admirers that I just mentioned.
J.R.: Who told you that?
Mary: It's just that he had a present for her that had a kind of special meaning for the both of them. She's probably wearing it right now.
J.R.: What are you trying to pull? Jamie didn't give Babe anything. And what are you talking about, a gift? What do you mean, a wedding gift?
Mary: Oh, you know, I probably shouldn't have said anything. It's just that it was more personal than a blender. I saw it at Brooke's house yesterday when I went to visit.
J.R.: What was it?
Mary: It was just a little bracelet. A little, gold charm bracelet, and it had a little, darling, little gold cow.
Babe: Where did I get what?
Jamie: This -- this bracelet you're wearing.
Babe: Oh, the cow charm? Isn't it adorable? I think it's real gold, but how can you tell? Not that I care. I mean, I'd love it even if it were plastic.
Jamie: Let me see it.
Babe: Did you know that cows are incredibly trustworthy?
Jamie: Oh, is that why you can't tip them?
Babe: Funny. Jamie, what's the deal with the bracelet? You haven't stopped staring at it.
Jamie: You still haven't told me where it came from.
Babe: Uncle Stuart got it for me.
Jamie: No, he didn't. I did.
Tad: I wasn't aware that we had a story.
Simone: I beg to differ, sir. Yes, our story started upstairs, and I think it's time that we add a chapter or two.
Tad: And I'm supposed to ignore the fact that my son is in the middle of a crisis and the Calatravases are coming to town and Carlos and Juan Pablo and all that?
Simone: Yes, and that Kendall and Greenlee are raising all kinds of hell. Yeah, I could use a time-out. You?
Tad: Yeah, ok.
Juan Pablo: I can't ask Greenlee to vanish with me.
Maria: If this is really love, you can ask anything.
Juan Pablo: She just found her father. She's fighting to save Fusion. Her friends are here. Her life is here.
Maria: Juan Pablo, I think you should ask Greenlee what she really wants.
Juan Pablo: I cannot force her to choose. You saw her. She's ready to move on. She will forget me very soon.
Mia: I just wonder what's taking Simone so long. She's probably just trying to uncross all those crossed wires with Juan Pablo. You know what? I'll go get them. I'll bring them back.
Greenlee: No, wait. There were no crossed wires with Juan Pablo, Mia. He hates me, and I put a curse on all his houses.
Mia: You don't mean that.
Greenlee: The hell I don't. When I think of all the time and energy that I wasted on that -- what's Spanish for "ingrate"? No, from here on in, I'm going to focus on myself, my career, and my future.
Mia: What about guys?
Greenlee: The only guy I care about is the one who can give me back the only thing I love -- Fusion.
Mia: Oh, God, Greenlee, are you back on the fast track for Ryan?
Aidan: How's Bianca?
Kendall: She's still a little freaked out about Lena, but she's holding up. Listen, Aidan, about this little trip that you and I planned --
Aidan: You don't want to leave Pine Valley?
Kendall: I can't. I really need to stay here for Bianca and Lena. They need me.
Aidan: I understand.
Kendall: So where exactly does that leave us?
Aidan: With me by your side until this investigation's over with.
Kendall: And then what?
Aidan: Best not look too far ahead, eh?
Kendall: You're going to leave me. You're going to leave me because of Ryan, because you think I'm not finished with Ryan. It would serve you right if I did go back to him.
Aidan: Why don't you do whatever you want to do?
Jack: Whoa, Derek, will you just slow down? You have nothing to connect Lena to the Cambias homicide.
Derek: No, you slow down, Jack. When I was out there on the phone talking to Dr. Grey, I found out that Ms. Kundera made a buy the night Michael Cambias disappeared.
Jack: A buy? And what kind of buy would that be?
Derek: A .38, the same caliber gun that killed Cambias. Now, Ms. Kundera, you said you wanted Michael Cambias dead to protect Bianca Montgomery from a serial psychopath. Now, I get that. I think we all get that. But right now I need to hear the rest of the story. And, please, make it easy on yourself. Make it easy on all of us. Cut a deal with the DA. All you have to do is confess that you shot and you killed Michael Cambias.
Ryan: Hope I'm not too late. Tell me how I can make it better.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Greenlee: If you want me, tell me.
Kendall: Did you come here to tell me off, buy me off, or push me off?
Ryan: What do you think, Kendall?
Mary: I just ended the marriage. Now pucker up.
Babe: I'm busted. I'm a two-bit slut who married you for your money.
