J.R.: Uh -- Dad. Don't you believe in knocking anymore?
Babe: Hey, Pops.
J.R.: What's the matter, Dad? You're not going to have another stroke, are you?
Adam: Is that what you were hoping?
Brooke: Well, there you are. You mind telling me where you've been all day and half the night? I mean, you don't check in, you don't -- you don't call, you don't check your cell phone. Hello?
Brooke: Where have you been all day?
Jamie: I've been out.
Brooke: Out where?
Jamie: Just around, at class.
Brooke: I had a visitor today -- a Benny from a Bennyís Beef 'n Bun? It seems you stole a plastic cow from his sign?
Jamie: Oh, what, does -- does he want it back? I thought J.R. paid him off.
Brooke: Well, that's hardly the point. What are you now, a thief?
Jamie: I am not a thief.
Brooke: Well, Benny said there was a girl with you. Was this her idea? I mean, is that why you did it?
Jamie: Mom, seriously, it's no big deal.
Brooke: Stealing is no big deal? And what about the girl?
Jamie: Again --
Brooke: No big deal?
Jamie: That's right.
Brooke: Well, then why did you buy her this?
Derek: All right, Ryan, we're listening. How'd you get those allergy pills?
Ryan: If I tell you, you'll give me Cambias' time of death?
Justin: And make sure you don't leave out the thing about Kendall.
Jack: Yeah, ok. Thank you, Justin. I'll take it from here.
Justin: Jack, please. I would like to continue to see the whole thing through, if you don't mind.
Jack: Ok, big guy, you go right ahead. I hope you don't mind if I sit in.
Ryan: Wow. I'm so touched that everybody wants to hear my story.
Jack: Oh, and by the way, Derek, Reggie tells me you tried every trick in the book, but he still didn't say a word. I guess having a suspicion just wasn't quite enough, was it?
Derek: Look, are you ready, Ryan?
Ryan: Yeah, do me a favor -- get Aidan in here, will you? I think he'd be really interested to know how far Kendall was willing to go to get what she wants.
Kendall: Erica, I think you should sit down for this.
Erica: No, I most certainly will not. And do not try to handle me. Kendall, this is about Bianca, Bianca and something she's not telling me. This has nothing to do with you.
Kendall: Listen, if you will listen to me for a second, you'll see that's not true.
Bianca: Kendall, what are you doing?
Kendall: Look, Bianca, I know I said I wouldn't say anything, but I was wrong. Erica needs to know about this.
Bianca: Stop it!
Kendall: It's going to come out sooner or later.
Erica: What's going to come out sooner or later? Just tell me now.
Kendall: I'm sorry, Erica. You -- it's not going to be easy for you to hear this, but you need to know --
Bianca: Kendall, stop it! I won't let you do this! Out.
Kendall: No, Bianca --
Bianca: Will you get out of here.
Kendall: Listen to me. Go with me on this, ok? It's not what you think.
Erica: Kendall, you heard Bianca. She wants you out of here. Now, please, just leave us alone. Bianca, look at me, sweetheart. Look at me, honey. Whatever it is you're not telling me and for whatever reason, I promise you I can handle it.
Kendall: Erica's right. Bianca, she can handle this.
Erica: Kendall, I don't need you to back me up.
Kendall: Erica, Bianca didn't say anything to you, because she didn't want to worry you.
Erica: And I don't you to explain my daughter to me.
Kendall: Listen, you really should be thanking me, because in the end, my plan is going to benefit you, too.
Erica: Your plan? What are you talking about?
Kendall: Ryan's claim on my inheritance from Michael.
Erica: Kendall, nobody cares about that right now.
Kendall: Yeah, well, you should, because with Biancaís help, I'm going to make sure Ryan regrets ever going after it, big time.
Ryan: Aidan, thanks for coming by. So, it all started when Kendall invited me into her condo and barely closed the door and she was all over me.
Jack: So you're saying Kendall came on to you?
Ryan: More like she attacked me. She started kissing me, and she just wouldn't stop.
Justin: That sounds real tough.
Ryan: Kendall and I were over a long time ago, but she kept saying that she still felt something between us, and she wouldn't let up, so finally I gave in.
Derek: Are you saying you slept with her?
Ryan: Close, but something didn't really feel right. I mean, not even Kendallís feelings turn that quickly, so I figured there had to be a reason she was all over me. And that's the reason right over there.
Ryan: Yeah. Believe it or not, he sent Kendall to seduce me.
Ryan: To prove that she was over me so that he could hook up with her and not have any worries. Well, man, she went all out for you. She almost proved herself right into bed.
Derek: All right, all right, enough of that. But, look, how did Kendall go from trying to seduce you to wanting you to follow Michael Cambias straight to hell?
Ryan: Well, see, I asked her if she'd go as far as to sleep with me to test her love for Aidan and if that's what she did with Michael Cambias.
Jack: And I take it she didn't like that question, huh?
Ryan: No. Must've hit a nerve. She got a little angry.
Derek: Angry enough to poison you?
Maria: Yeah, Carlos is looking at a pretty slow recovery right now.
Tad: It's better than no recovery.
Maria: Thanks. Well, most definitely. Are you going to go in and relieve Juan Pablo?
Tad: Yeah, considering he probably hasn't left his brother's side the entire time.
Maria: He hasn't, not even with the two guards posted outside.
Maria: I swiped a cop for him, but he still hasn't slept.
Tad: I'll try to talk him into getting some rest, ok?
Maria: Thank you. Yeah, good luck.
Tad: Why? Did something happen?
Tad: Maria, what is it?
Maria: Come here.
Tad: All right, now you're starting to scare me. What's the big deal?
Maria: All right, I just -- I just got a phone call from Edmund, and he told me that two feds were following the Calatravas family.
Tad: What do you mean, were?
Maria: They lost them.
Tad: Meaning they could be anywhere?
Tad: Well, that -- that puts you directly in the line of fire.
Maria: Ok, now you're starting to sound like Edmund --
Tad: No, I mean it. Maybe you should start thinking about, like, a bulletproof vest or something underneath that coat.
Maria: No, makes me look fat.
Tad: I'm not joking. I'm serious.
Maria: I know. Look, Tad, I -- I promise you that Iím taking every precaution. Ok?
Tad: Well, I certainly hope so. I can't stand the idea of one more person I care about getting hurt.
Jamie: Where did you get that?
Brooke: Opal found it in the trash.
Brooke: What was this? I mean, did you buy this for -- for this girl? Was this a little memento from the night that you stole the cow from Bennyís Beef 'n Bun? Jamie, come on. You know, I'm capable of stringing together a couple of clues.
Jamie: Mom, I don't know what to tell you.
Brooke: Well, anything would be an improvement.
Brooke: Yes, please.
Jamie: Ok. I was at B.J.ís earlier, and I met somebody.
Brooke: Oh, you did? Oh, that's great, honey.
Jamie: Yeah, he's a real cool guy.
Brooke: A guy?
Jamie: Mm-hmm. I mean, he's really good-looking. He's older. He's a professor at the university.
Brooke: A professor?
Jamie: Yeah, but he's not a poser.
Brooke: Why are you telling me this?
Jamie: Because I think you might like him. And if you two hit it off down the road, it'll be really good for my GPA.
Brooke: I'm not dating a professor to improve your GPA.
Jamie: Come on, it was a totally sweet gesture. I mean, I just wanted to get you out there so you can meet new people.
Brooke: I don't need to meet new people. I have friends. I have you. I have your father. I have work.
Jamie: Oh, yeah, don't you have a deadline on that piece on DNA research?
Brooke: Yes, I do. What does that have to do -- why are you trying to distract me? Why won't you just tell me who this girl is?
J.R.: Believe me, Dad, what Babe and I were doing had nothing to do with you. We didn't think anybody was around the house.
Adam: Well, yes, of course. You -- you thought you were alone. I -- I understand.
J.R.: Guess you forgot you were sharing your house with a few newlyweds.
[J.R. and Babe giggle]
Adam: Believe me, the last thing, Babe, I wanted to do was make you feel uncomfortable.
Babe: Relax, Popper. It's not the first time I've been caught with my pants down in some guy's living room. Here you go, baby.
Adam: Um -- J.R., Babe, there is something that I wanted to discuss with you -- after you've gotten some clothes on, of course.
Babe: You're blushing. How cute are you?
J.R.: Dad's a little conservative that way. How about we go upstairs, finish getting dressed?
Adam: Yes. Take your time.
J.R.: Oh, we will.
Babe: Hey, Mare.
Adam: Eyes over here, Mary.
Mary: Well, I was just noticing how good-looking your son is. Too bad he's got to get himself tied down at such an early age.
Adam: Yes, it is. The thought of that girl staying one more night under my roof --
Mary: So, has your PI uncovered anything yet?
Adam: The only thing uncovered here is her.
Mary: You're such a prude.
Adam: If you could've seen what I saw -- who am I kidding? You would've asked to join in.
Mary: You never know. Now, I told you that you didn't need a private investigator to deal with Babe.
Adam: You think you can do better, huh?
Mary: I know I can because I have.
Adam: You have something on Babe? Tell me.
Mary: I'm not sure I should. Maybe you would --
Adam: Mary --
Mary: Toss me out on the streets if I told you the information I have. You know, it's my only security.
Adam: So you want to know what's in it for you, right?
J.R.: What's the matter?
Babe: Come on, J.R. Your dad wants us downstairs, and you want to put the moves on me?
J.R.: Oh, Babe, I love you as much as you love me. I'm not going to let the powerful Adam Chandler dictate my alone time with you, hmm? He could set the whole damn house on fire, I don't care.
Babe: You really mean that?
J.R.: My dad's got to start to understand that you come first in my life.
Babe: Keep talking like that, I might just start to believe you.
J.R.: You know, just out of curiosity, how many times were you caught in somebody else's living room with your pants down?
Adam: Well, here's how it goes -- you will get what I decide to give you when I decide to give it to you.
Mary: Well, that's just not fair.
Adam: You have an alternative. You can go up and pack your bags right now and leave.
Mary: Oh, Adam, you're so nasty when you don't get your way.
Adam: What do you have on Babe?
Mary: It's a gut feeling. It's a sense, a sort of an aura. I can spot a young man's lust the way some people can spot dust bunnies under their bed.
Adam: Is that your information? I already know that J.R. canít keep his hands off that girl.
Mary: I'm not talking about J.R.ís lust. I'm talking about Jamieís.
Adam: That's impossible. J.R. and Jamie are brothers.
Mary: So? It's not so far-fetched. You know, I'm rarely wrong about these matters.
Adam: How long will it take you to prove it?
Mary: Hmm -- well, Iíll need some time. I know that's not your favorite answer, but I do need you to give me a little leeway to explore.
Adam: Start now.
Jamie: Mom, are you ok?
Brooke: No, I'm not ok.
Jamie: What do you want me to do?
Brooke: I would like you to talk to me.
Jamie: I am talking to you.
Brooke: No, you're not talking to me, ok? You're talking around me. I feel like I don't know what's going on with you anymore.
Jamie: Oh, what, are you mad at me?
Brooke: No, I'm not mad at you.
Jamie: You know, there's some anger management classes at PVU that I could sign you up, and you might like --
Brooke: Enough! Go. Go study. Go listen to music before I'm forced to hurt you!
Jamie: Ok, well, I'm going to order some pizza, if that's ok with you.
Brooke: Never mind.
Jamie: Mom -- Mom, if there's something that I need to tell you, I'll let you know -- right after Dad.
Brooke: Get out of here, you -- you -- you.
Ryan: And you know what happens after that. She threw me out. You were there. She said she wished I was dead. She stormed off, and she slammed the door.
Derek: And after that?
Ryan: After that, nothing.
Justin: Come on, just --
Ryan: What? You were there. Did she seem like she wanted to continue our chat?
Derek: So Kendall didn't give you the pills?
Ryan: Nope. Found them all on my own, which is very surprising considering the state your Forensic team left the place in.
Justin: That was a routine search.
Ryan: Oh. Wow. So it's routine to leave a bottle of poisoned allergy pills in an open drawer? So how did you guys miss -- I should sue the entire department!
Jack: Ryan, let's try to keep the lawsuits to a minimum, shall we?
Derek: So if Kendall didn't give you the pills, then how did her fingerprints end up on the bottle?
Ryan: Um -- what, do I have to draw you a picture? I mean, she dated the guy. She apparently married the maniac. She lived across the courtyard. I'm sure her prints were all over the condo.
Derek: They were fresh prints, Ryan, because they overlapped yours. Which means that Kendall --
Justin: Stop jerking us around! Stop jerking us around and tell us what happened right now.
Ryan: I told you my side of the story. I told you how I got the pills. Now it's your turn. Now you tell me when Michael Cambias died.
Derek: Why are you so determined to protect Kendall?
Ryan: Look at me! I'm in the hospital! I'm not protecting anyone!
Derek: You are lying!
Ryan: Prove it!
Derek: It just so happens I can.
Kendall: Bianca is the key to beating Ryan.
Kendall: By filing a billion-dollar personal injury lawsuit against Michael Cambias' estate.
Erica: His estate?
Kendall: Yes, and against Ryan as the inheritor of the estate.
Erica: Kendall, this is insane.
Kendall: Why? People file lawsuits like this all the time.
Erica: No. Bianca's not going back into court. No way.
Kendall: Why? Bianca deserves to be compensated for the damages that she has stemming from her rape.
Erica: My God. Have you lost all sense of human decency?
Kendall: Erica, people do realize what Bianca has gone through. I mean, look at her. It's been four months, and she's still dealing with the aftermath.
Erica: Yes, of course she is! What do you expect? It's not something she's just going to get over like some cold or some skinned knee --
Kendall: That's what Iím saying. What if she needs therapy for the rest of her life? I mean, do you think that's going to be cheap?
Erica: I am going to pay whatever is necessary, of course, that Bianca gets whatever help that she needs.
Kendall: How are you going to pay, Erica? Michael stole Enchantment from you. But we can stop Ryan before he steals it from me.
Erica: My God. You're serious.
Kendall: Yes, I am, but I need you to convince Bianca to go along with me on this.
Kendall: Think about it. Once Ryan realizes what this lawsuit will cost him -- personally and Michaelís estate -- he'll give up his claim. And as Michaelís widow, I get everything, including Enchantment. It's a good plan, Erica.
Erica: No, Kendall, it's not a good plan. What's wrong with you? What you want to do, it's so -- it's so vulgar and it's just so unbelievable.
Kendall: Yes, well, what else is new, right?
Erica: No, Kendall, I believed you. I really believed you when you said you cared about Bianca and me. And now -- what you want to do -- I mean, what you say -- it just proves that you never meant a word of it. Bianca, honey, I know that you would never agree to do something so vulgar and so exploitive. So, please tell me that it's something else. Please tell me that this -- this plan of Kendallís is really a coverup for something else that's going on. Bianca, answer me.
Kendall: Just because I said I cared about you and Bianca doesn't mean I stopped caring about myself.
Erica: Please be quiet, Kendall.
Kendall: Why shouldn't I keep what's rightfully mine, and what's wrong with asking Bianca to help me if she can?
Erica: Is it true?
Bianca: Kendall, I thought that I was more important to you than Michaelís money.
Kendall: It's my money. Hello! God, what is wrong with this family? Why can't I have both? Can't I be the tiniest bit selfish without being accused of betraying the tribe?
Bianca: You told me that you had changed. You said that things were different between us now.
Kendall: Well, I guess you hear what you want to hear, right?
Erica: My God. You are completely inhuman. To even consider putting Bianca out there, to asking her to -- to go through again, to relive all the horror that -- that she had to endure from that monster, that man?
Kendall: I thought that she could handle it. I thought she was strong enough to handle it.
Erica: Bianca has just begun to recover. She has a very long road ahead of her. And, mercifully, she terminated the pregnancy so that she'll never have to see Michael Cambias' face again or hear his voice.
Kendall: But here I am, standing right in front of you, a constant reminder, right?
Erica: No. No, I tried, Kendall. I tried to accept you into my family and into my heart! And I believed you when you said please give me a chance to prove that you are a different kind of person, the person you said you were! But then you do something like this, and I don't know how I could be so wrong about you! I don't know! Are you more evil than I ever imagined?
Ryan: You can prove Iím lying?
Derek: We have an eyewitness, Mrs. Carmine Busciglio.
Ryan: Who's that?
Derek: Mrs. Busciglio lives across the street. She's been watching Cambias' condo ever since his body was found. According to her, Kendall went inside after we left, and when she came out, she was alone. Later Aidan arrives, and after that the ambulance comes.
Ryan: So, wait a second. That's your proof? Some old lady with binoculars and too much time on her hands?
Derek: Well, you know what? She's been a lot more upfront with us than you have, so I'm going to ask you one more time. Did Kendall give you those pills?
Ryan: I gave you my statement. Unless Mrs. Busciglio has X-ray vision, you don't have a case.
Derek: And you don't have Cambias' time of death. Oops -- you lose.
Ryan: Oh. What? I guess you were wrong about me after all.
Tad: Hey. Any change to report?
Maria: Well, Carlos is the same, but Juan Pablo has shown some improvement. He finally fell asleep.
Tad: Oh, thank God.
Tad: He needs the rest. So I guess Iíll just man my post out here for a while, huh?
Maria: You don't mind?
Tad: No, no. Contrary to popular opinion, I'll be ok. I like being useful. Care for a cookie?
Maria: Yes, please. I know what you mean. Nothing better. Gracias. Hey, since you have a second, I'd like to run something by you.
Tad: Sure. You think it's time to move Carlos?
Maria: No, no, no. Actually, this is totally different. It's about the -- the Crystal Ball. I guess you remember Edmund didn't have it last year, even though I was back and not back.
Tad: It would've been kind of weird for everybody, especially you if he had gone ahead with it, don't you think?
Maria: Yeah, yeah, but I -- you know, I feel bad because I really disappointed a lot of people.
Tad: That's ridiculous. That's like saying you're sorry you're alive. I mean, how was he supposed to go ahead and hold an event in your memory when you're in the corner and you can't remember who you are?
Maria: Well, I know. He couldn't, he couldn't.
Tad: Yeah, so forget the guilt.
Maria: Ok, but I can't because he used to donate all that money to children's charities, right?
Tad: Yeah. Sure.
Maria: Well, you know, no fundraiser, no charity money, and I really want to fix that. So Edmund and I talked about it, and we would really like to have the Crystal Ball again this year, but we would like to do it in Dixieís name.
Tad: Wow. I didn't expect that.
Maria: I mean, if it's all right with you.
Tad: It's fine. It'd be fantastic. I'm sure that Dixie would be incredibly honored.
Maria: Good. And we all know how much Dixie loved kids, and I just -- you know, I think this would be a great way to keep the tradition and the spirit and the hope alive.
Tad: What do you mean, "hope"?
Maria: You know what I mean by hope.
Tad: Do I?
Maria: Yeah. You know, Edmund and I have talked about this, too. We just -- you know, we hope that you get the second chance that we got.
Tad: Maria, that's nothing I haven't hoped and prayed for for myself a thousand times over, but I just don't think Godís sending any miracles in my direction. I'm sorry, but I just -- I can't go back there again.
Maria: Ok, ok. No, I know. I just -- I just feel like you should believe that the love that you and Dixie had is not just lost forever, that in some way it will come back to you. I mean, losing Dixie and the baby at the same time -- I don't even know how you're still walking around.
Tad: Well, most of the time I drink.
Tad: And then I just sort of get myself all tangled up in other people's problems.
Maria: There's a lot of that going around. Certainly is.
Tad: Yeah, lucky me.
Maria: Well, just keep your heart open because sometimes the impossible becomes the possible in an instant.
Tad: Wow. All this from a brain surgeon. Maybe you should stick with medicine.
Maria: That's where I learned it. I'll talk to you more about it later, ok?
Tad: Ok, doc.
J.R.: What did you want to talk to us about? If it's about school, I've decided to take the semester off.
Adam: Well, how you handle your education is entirely up to you, J.R. You have my total support.
J.R.: Well, then, what's this about?
Adam: Well, I -- here, sit down, sit down. I was -- I wanted to talk to you about your plans for Thanksgiving.
J.R.: Well, we really haven't thought that far ahead.
Adam: Well, I was hoping you'd have dinner here with us.
Babe: Oh, could we? Oh, please say yes. Please, please, please? I've never had a real Thanksgiving dinner before, and I bet you even have a real turkey and all, right? Not one of those, like, turkey-loaf things that you just nuke in the microwave?
Adam: No. No, real turkey, a real turkey, and anything else you'd like.
Babe: Oh, my God. Yams with the little marshmallow things that are melted on top -- can we have those?
Adam: Oh, yes, yes, of course, of course. Do you know what I want to see at our table this year?
Adam: Family -- yours and mine. I want to invite your mother and your father and your brothers and sisters, if you have any. We have plenty of room. Just give me their names and numbers, and Iíll have Winifred start to contact them.
Babe: Ok --
J.R.: Babe, don't. Don't tell him anything.
Aidan: I was wrong about you, and I'm glad I was.
Ryan: You know, somehow I don't think Derekís with you on that.
Aidan: They're not going to drop this. You know that, don't you?
Ryan: Yeah, it's kind of entertaining, watching them run around in circles. I need a favor. Aidan, I had the Cambias jet fly in yesterday. I was thinking about getting away for a few days, maybe taking a friend. Obviously, that's not going to happen, and the plane's just sitting there. So I need you to go to the airport and maybe give the pilot a heads-up?
Aidan: I could do that. No problem.
Jack: Tell me something, Derek -- why are you so determined to pursue this? Because I did not once hear Ryan say that Kendall gave him those pills.
Derek: Damn it, Jack, what would you have me do?
Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa, easy.
Derek: All the evidence points to Kendall. Ryan is the one person standing between Kendall and her claim to the entire Cambias estate. That gives her motive! An eyewitness places her inside the condo with Ryan. That gives her opportunity. And her fingerprints were all over that bottle of poisonous capsules. That gives her means. Now, Jack, you have prosecuted ordinary street scales with less evidence.
Jack: Yeah, but you know what I hear you saying, Derek, is that if you can't hang Kendall for the murder of Michael Cambias, then, by God, this is the next best thing.
Brooke: Tad, why haven't you been answering your cell phone? I mean, do you know what's been happening in the last 12 hours?
Tad: No, but whatever it is, just double it, and Iíll get back to you, all right?
Brooke: No, no contest, not now.
Tad: What? Did Palmer Cortlandt attempt to throw you out of a plane at 10,000 feet without a chute?
Brooke: What? No, and don't bother to explain, please.
Tad: Ok, I couldn't if I wanted to.
Brooke: No surprise there.
Tad: In the last 12 hours, I've had to stash a fugitive, I -- Iíve given advice to the broken-hearted. I've even had to endure threats from a moneygrubbing socialite.
Brooke: Mary Smythe?
Tad: Yeah, and on top of that, I'm developing this Argentinean accent. I don't know why.
Brooke: Oh, I'm so glad you're keeping busy. Now, shut up so I can tell you about our son.
Mary: Hi, Jamie.
Jamie: You're delivering pizzas now, too?
Mary: "Oven-fresh and right to your door" -- isn't that the slogan?
Jamie: Hey, look, my mom's not here right now --
Mary: Oh, it's ok. I didn't come to see her. I came to see you.
Jamie: Me? Why?
Mary: Invite me in and Iíll tell you why. Oh, that's nice. Excuse me.
J.R.: Yeah, you know, Dad, I was wondering how you were going to try to get something out of Babe.
Babe: Is that what you were doing?
Adam: J.R., the offer is genuine. I want Babe to feel at home here, and I want her to know that her family is welcome anytime.
Babe: That's awfully sweet of you and all, but I wouldn't even know where to find them.
Adam: What do you mean?
Babe: Well, the guy that we thought was my daddy -- he bolted when I was, like, 6 with the lady that dyes my Mama's hair.
Adam: And your mother?
Babe: Mama? She could be anywhere. See, she was waiting tables at this roadside cafe, and then this one trucker -- he would always come in all the time, and he'd tip her, like, 30%. And so just one day, she just took off with him. I think it was somewhere between the cup a mud and the wreck 'ems -- well, that's lingo for coffee and scrambled eggs. But I don't blame her. I mean, Big Wheels -- that's what I call him -- he was ripped. He had this tattoo of this lady on his arm, and then when he flexed, I swear to God it looked like she was, like, flipping up her skirt.
Adam: Well, I'm sorry she left you.
Babe: Oh, no, Mama didn't leave me. This is what she calls one of her working vacations. See, I usually just stay with a cousin, but he's doing time for some bogus, like, B&E charge. And his wife, my other cousin, she just kind of has her hands full with the baby and all.
Adam: Um -- you say your cousins are married to each other?
Babe: Yeah. It's cool, though. I mean, their parents support them 100%, just kind of like you with me and J.R.
Adam: Yeah, well, that's what parents do. And if you'd like to find yours, I'm sure somebody at Chandler could try to track them down.
J.R.: Wouldn't you need a name for that, Dad?
Adam: Well, I suppose I would, yes.
Babe: It's Carrington with a C, just like on "Dynasty."
Adam: So your father's name is Carrington?
Babe: Oh, no, no, no. That's my Mama's name. I never really knew who my daddy was, so it was just easier going with my Mama's handle.
Adam: And her name, again? Her first name?
Babe: Krystal with a K.
Adam: Krystal Carrington?
Babe: Just like on TV. Well, I mean, her name used to be Hazel, but who wants to be called Hazel?
Adam: Well -- and she changed it to Krystal?
J.R.: With a K. You want to write this down so maybe you could send your P.I. out?
Babe: Oh, no, I wouldn't bother. I mean, Mama -- she just -- well, she likes me to call her Krystal, but she's not any fun unless she wants to be found. Besides, I got all the family I need right here.
Kendall: Oh, that's right, Erica. I'm evil because I won't let people walk all over me and rip me off. You would do the exact same thing if you were in my position.
Erica: No, I would never use Biancaís personal tragedy as a weapon.
Kendall: If I have to fight dirty to keep what's mine, I will. And if you think that makes me an evil person, too bad. But I did not go through the hell of marrying Michael Cambias to end up with nothing.
Erica: Do not mention his name again here, please.
Kendall: You know what? I was going to give you back Enchantment when all this was over, but now I think I'll just dismantle it, sit back and watch it crumble.
Erica: Yeah, you do that. That's fine with me. I don't want anything from you.
Kendall: Fine. I will keep it. I don't need help from either one of you to -- with any of this. I'm out of here. Aidan, what are you doing here?
Aidan: Come here.
J.R.: Was any of that stuff you said downstairs true?
Babe: A little.
Babe: Most of it I just made up on the spot. I figured if Pops wants dirt, I'm going to give him a whole pile of it.
J.R.: He's not going to give up, you know. He probably already has some PI checking you out.
Babe: So what? Let him. He won't find much.
J.R.: So, is there anything I should know before my old man digs it up?
Babe: Baby, Babe Carrington's got nothing to hide.
Adam: It's Krystal with a K, last name Carrington with a C. No, I'm not kidding. I -- I don't know whether that's her real name or not. I don't know if anything about this girl is what it seems to be. All I know is the trouble she's brought into this house is far from over.
Brooke: And then when I asked him about the cow bracelet, he changed the subject.
Tad: That's weird.
Tad: Well, it seems to me that somebody else recently said something about somebody liking cows. It doesn't matter, go on.
Brooke: Tad -- he's shutting me out.
Tad: What did you expect? He's not a little kid anymore. He's a teenager. It comes with the dinner.
Brooke: I used to be able to look at his face and tell exactly what was going on with him.
Tad: Sweetheart, you can't start jumping through hoops about what our son may or may not be doing. You're going to go crazy.
Brooke: I know, but when he talks to you, I --
Tad: He doesn't talk to me. What, about sex? If he talks to me about sex, he's either bragging or he's 100% BS.
Brooke: I know this is something else. There is something that is honestly bothering him.
Tad: Well, then I vote we let him work it out for himself.
Brooke: But he's our son.
Tad: I know, which means he's not stupid. Look, maybe you're right, ok? Maybe there was a woman -- ok, woman, girl -- and they slept together, ok, and that's why he stole the cow off the sign and he bought her the bracelet. If that's the worse that our son has to offer us, we're, like, so far ahead of the game.
Brooke: Ok -- I mean, I know that you're right. I know that. It's just that --
Tad: Yeah -- no buts, ok? Just leave it alone. We cannot spend every minute of every day worrying about who our son is going to hook up with. We got to let him make his own mistakes, even if we do not like the person he makes them with. Come on. I'll buy you some coffee.
Mary: Come sit down. Please? Come on. There. That's much better. It's really been nice seeing you around the house more, now that J.R.ís back.
Jamie: He's my brother and my best friend. I mean, he's here just as much as Iím there.
Mary: And I think it's wonderful that the two of you are still so close, especially now that he's married. You share such a lovely bond together, and I hope Babe understands that and doesn't do anything to disrupt it.
Jamie: Yeah, if you came here to get me to help you and Adam break them up --
Mary: Oh, no. Is that what you think? I would never do anything like that.
Jamie: Well, why else would you be here?
Mary: Sweetheart, I was hoping it was obvious.
Maria: Do you want to tell me what was going on in here earlier?
Ryan: Well, that all depends on what's going on out there.
Maria: Sounds like Derekís going to make an arrest.
Ryan: What? Well, you got to stop them.
Maria: How am I going to stop --
Ryan: Just go, please! Think of something, please!
Maria: Ryan, what am I going to do? All right. Uh -- Derek, Jackson? Ryan wants to talk to you.
Derek: What now, Lavery?
Ryan: You're right. I wasn't being upfront with you.
Derek: No kidding.
Ryan: Because I do know something.
Jack: And what is that?
Ryan: I know who killed Michael Cambias.
Kendall: Aidan, come on! I mean this, put me down! This is ridiculous! Aidan, come on already! Just -- please, just stop! Stop!
Aidan: Look, just sit down. Sit down. We're ready to go.
Kendall: Wait -- go? No, Aidan, Iím not going anywhere with you!
Aidan: Shut up and sit down.
Kendall: No, Aidan --
Aidan: You either come with me or you spend the rest of your life in prison.
Erica: Why did you even let Kendall in here?
Bianca: I don't know, Mom. I just -- I'm just so tired of all the fighting.
Erica: What did she ask you to do?
Bianca: Can we please just not talk about it right now?
Erica: How can I forgive her? How can I love someone who would do something like that to you?
Bianca: Mom, please --
Erica: I'm sorry, I can't.
Bianca: Please don't say that.
Erica: It's horrible, I know. I know that it's horrible. Terminating your pregnancy was certainly the right thing to do. You wouldn't wish something like that on anyone.
Bianca: Oh, stop it. Mom, stop it. You're wrong! You're wrong about Kendall and about me. You're wrong about everything.
Erica: Well, then why don't you just set me straight, Bianca? What is it Iím wrong about?
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Tad: J.R. does not need you messing around in his marriage.
J.R.: I thought you said you didn't have anything to hide.
Babe: There's probably one thing that I should confess.
Aidan: This is about Ryan! I found him in Michaelís condo practically dead.
Derek: You're under arrest.
