Juan Pablo: So you feel now you can trust me?
Greenlee: It scares me to trust someone.
Juan Pablo: Mm-hmm. That's why it means a lot to me that you finally do.
Greenlee: Well, you're a good man. You stuck around to deal with my stupid problems simply because you like me?
Juan Pablo: That's right.
Greenlee: What's in it for you?
Juan Pablo: Does there have to be another reason?
Greenlee: It would be a lot easier for me if there were.
Juan Pablo: All right, then, there is another reason. I want you to be happy and then think I'm wonderful.
Greenlee: Hmm. You just might get your wish.
Juan Pablo: Let's put the final phase of our plans into effect.
Greenlee: The final phase?
Juan Pablo: Mm-hmm. I'll ask your mother to go away with me. If she refuses, you will know she loves you.
Greenlee: Wait, wait. My mother's first priority in her life has always been herself; and just because she stays here doesn't mean she has my best interests at heart. I hate tricking my own mother.
Juan Pablo: I'll do whatever you want, Greenlee.
Greenlee: You know, this makes me just as bad as she is. Or maybe Iím just as bad a liar as she is, or maybe I'm just like my father. Maybe -- maybe Jackís been lying to me this whole time. Maybe he didn't give a damn when he found out that Mary was pregnant with me. I mean --
Juan Pablo: You can't go on like this. You need answers, and I'll get them tonight, hmm? Just like we planned. Ok?
Greenlee: Ok. Do it. Seduce my mother.
[As Ryan listens outside the door, he crashes into a room service cart and runs away.]
[Greenlee rushes into the hall to see what caused the loud noise.]
Greenlee: Oh, my God. Can't be.
Jack: Dear God, Aidan, you have any idea what time it is?
Aidan: I've got something to show you.
Jack: Well, could it possibly wait until tomorrow? I mean, don't you think we've had a long day, both of us?
Aidan: I found this at Michaelís condo.
Jack: Anything incriminating in it?
Aidan: Yeah, but not for Michael. The daybook belongs to Erica. It's got her monogram. It's right here. Plus, it's full of names, numbers, and appointments.
Jack: Huh. So what are you saying, that Cambias stole her daybook?
Aidan: That's one theory, but I have another one.
Jack: Well, can I hear it maybe at a more civilized hour, like, say, tomorrow morning at my office?
Aidan: Sure, but if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to go over a few bullet points with you now.
Jack: Sure. Why not?
Aidan: Erica's daybook was found at Michaelís condo because Erica left it there when she tried to set Michael up.
Jack: Set Michael up for what?
Aidan: Did it not occur to you that finding all that heroin at Michaelís condo was too good to be true?
Jack: Well, it was a very lucky break, Iíll admit that.
Aidan: Sure; and if the drugs were planted?
Jack: Aidan, that's an awful big theory to come from such a small date book.
Aidan: Oh, come on. All I am saying is that Erica could have framed Michael Cambias. If I had a daughter whose rapist were to walk free, Iíd be tempted to do a hell of a lot worse.
Kendall: You're pregnant?
Kendall: Oh, God. Oh, God. Michael did this to you. Oh, God.
Erica: Oh, no, no, no! No, no, no!
Lena: Bianca? Oh.
Maggie: No, it's just me.
Lena: I was hoping to find Bianca here.
Maggie: Lena, I thought you promised me you were going to stay away from Bianca.
Lena: Everything's changed now, Maggie. Michael's gone for good. Bianca's safe.
Maggie: Oh, we don't know that for certain.
Lena: I know Michael, ok? He's a coward. You'll never see him in this town ever again.
Maggie: That's a really great thing to hope for, but you really shouldn't take it for granted. Bianca sure isnít.
Lena: How is she? Is she any better? I know what happened to her was horrific, but I was hoping that maybe with time she would find a way to --
Maggie: Lena, you have to understand that what has happened to Bianca is going to remain with her for a very long time.
Erica: No! No!
Kendall: Let me help you --
Erica: Get your hands off me! Bianca, this cannot happen. This cannot happen to you. No, not this. Not this. Not this.
Kendall: Mother, please -- mother, please, calm down.
Erica: You shut your filthy mouth! You married that animal!
Bianca: Stay away from her now. You can't help her now.
Kendall: No, Bianca, I need to help her.
Bianca: It's not about you, Kendall. Please, just get out of here. Mom, it's ok. Please --
Erica: Bianca -- Bianca, this didn't happen. This is not going to happen to you. You are not going to have a baby. My God, you were raped. You are not going to have his baby.
Jack: Well, I tell you what, Aidan, I do appreciate your theory, but I think I like mine better -- Michael Cambias, known corporate raider, possible drug dealer, steals Erica Kaneís date book for the purpose of industrial espionage.
Aidan: Why aren't you taking me seriously, Jack? I found this book at Michaelís condo. I am not making this stuff up.
Jack: No, I see you found the book. The rest of it, however, Iím not so sure isn't just a product of an overactive imagination on your part, Aidan.
Aidan: I think you should take a close look at this diary, because if you do, you'll find every date leading up to the 28th has been pulled -- pulled. That means that this is the last -- that was the last day that this date book was used.
Jack: Yes, I know what that means.
Aidan: That was the date of the hearing, the day that Michael Cambias walked free after what he did to Bianca, the same day that Kendall supposedly went off to Vegas with Michael.
Jack: Let me ask you something, Aidan. Who told you to search Cambias' place? I mean, was this Annaís idea, or did you come up with this all by yourself?
Aidan: Why does that matter?
Jack: Well, last I heard, you weren't a member of the Pine Valley Police Force, and I don't recall anybody hiring you for your special ops training to find Michael.
Aidan: So what? I want to find out what happened to that guy.
Jack: And just why is that, Aidan? Maybe to prove that Kendall was lying, that she didn't sell out her mother and her sister and run off to Vegas and marry a drug-dealing rapist? Is that it, maybe? Hmm?
Aidan: Kendall is lying. She's capable of a lot, but not that, Jack.
Jack: Yeah, well, obviously, she is capable of that, Aidan, because she did it, now, didn't she?
Reggie: What is going on out here?
Jack: Reggie, go back to bed; and you -- why don't you go home and sleep off these conspiracy theories of yours, huh? Just go home and get some rest.
Aidan: What's the matter with you right now? How come you're so uptight?
Jack: I'm tired, Aidan! I'm exhausted! And don't try to turn this around on me.
Aidan: Give it up, Jack. What are you hiding?
Juan Pablo: What's wrong?
Greenlee: I thought I saw someone I know walking down the hallway, but it couldn't be him.
Juan Pablo: Is this someone you don't want to see?
Greenlee: Oh, I don't care one way or the other. I'm so over him.
Juan Pablo: I see.
Greenlee: Yeah, I was very young and stupid and totally obsessed with him; and the whole time we were together, he was in love with someone else. I opened myself up to him, and he deceived me. I trusted him, but I won. He ended up in jail.
Juan Pablo: Well, he didn't end up in jail if you just saw him out there.
Greenlee: No, no, no, no, no. I mean, he was in jail when we ended it. I ended it. He tried to apologize and say that he wanted to be with me, but I -- I told him I didn't want to see him anymore.
Greenlee: I loved this whole thing, Ryan -- every minute of it -- and so did you.
Ryan: Not anymore. Greenlee, I am sorry this ever happened. I'm sorry I ever met you. I want you out of my life. I never want to see you again. Get out.
Greenlee: It doesn't work for me, Juan Pablo.
Juan Pablo: What doesn't?
Greenlee: Trust. Taking a chance on people. They'll lie to you every time. We have to finish with my mother.
Juan Pablo: Yes, I agree.
Greenlee: I mean, I know she's always lied to me, but if I decide to believe her --
Juan Pablo: And she betrays you --
Greenlee: I don't know how Iíll ever trust again.
Juan Pablo: And that would be a crime because there are people in the world who don't lie.
Greenlee: Help me, please.
Juan Pablo: I'll call her now and ask her to come back. Maybe she'll refuse, and that will be the end of it.
Juan Pablo: Hmm? Mary. Carina. Did I wake you? No? Ok. I'd like to speak with you in person. Mm-hmm. No, it can't wait. It's a plan for the two of us. Would you mind meeting me here in my room? Mm-hmm. As soon as you can. Ok. Thanks. She's on her way.
Greenlee: Then we're on.
Ryan: Excuse me, sir. Can I get you another beer?
Edmund: Ryan Lavery. What are you doing in town, man?
Edmund: Oh, my God, nice to see you.
Ryan: Good to see you, too. Really good. I'm sorry I didn't keep in touch and all --
Edmund: I missed your post cards.
Ryan: Yeah, yeah.
Edmund: Sit down.
Edmund: Sit down.
Edmund: What brings you to Pine Valley?
Ryan: Oh, well, I -- Iíve got some business that I have to -- well, actually, it's more like an assignment that I -- Edmund?
Ryan: You're like the only person that I can trust here, and I'm going to need some help with this.
Edmund: Sure. No problem, but first, before you get into it, I got to tell you something. I -- some good news. Maria is alive, and she came back.
Ryan: I know!
Edmund: What do you mean, you know?
Ryan: I saw her. It, like, freaked me out for a sec. At Chris' grave -- she was putting flowers there.
Edmund: She does that, yeah.
Ryan: I was like -- I was distracted. Otherwise, I would have gone into who I was and everything --
Edmund: Ryan, it's ok. Listen, I'm sorry about your dad. Really, I'm sorry. He was a really good man. Did you know he saved my daughter's life?
Ryan: I heard that.
Ryan: I just thought Iíd have more time with him. Actually, I thought I'd have more time with a lot of people, but anyway, you and Maria -- I am so happy for you.
Edmund: Thank you, thank you.
Ryan: I mean, it's incredible.
Edmund: Yeah. So, how's Kendall? Have you seen her?
Edmund: Thank you.
Ryan: Oddly enough, we were on the same plane back to Pine Valley.
Edmund: You're kidding? From Vegas?
Ryan: So you know?
Edmund: Well, I know that I'm doing a story about Michael Cambias for "Tempo," on his disappearance, yeah.
Ryan: So do you really think she married that guy?
Edmund: So she says. I don't know, Ryan. I mean, if she really just flat-out married him, she's bottomed out.
Ryan: I hear he doesn't have too many redeeming qualities.
Edmund: That jerk has caused more tragedy in this town than you can possibly imagine.
Kendall: A child of rape?
Bianca: Ok, listen, Mom. I just want you to sit down and listen to me. I love you. I am so sorry, but I am going to take care of you.
Erica: Oh, honey, no, no, no. I have to take care of you. I love you. I thank God every day for sending me a daughter like you, so sweet and so loving and so good. You're the only person in the world I love so completely. I couldn't live without you. You are all that matters to me -- only you; and I don't want you to worry about anything because this can't be happening to you. No, this can't; and we will fix it. We will make it all go away.
Bianca: Mom --
Erica: You trust me, honey. Trust me. This is a mistake. This is a huge, unfortunate mistake. The tests are wrong. Obviously, they're wrong. I mean, it was a mix-up, and you'll see. Somehow, you got the wrong results; but you'll take other tests, and then you'll see. Everything will be fine, honey. Everything will be fine. I won't let this happen. I won't allow this to happen to you.
Jack: Drop this, Aidan. Just drop it.
Aidan: And if I don't?
Jack: You know, Aidan, Anna is a very competent police chief, and it seems to me that you're just interfering in a police investigation.
Aidan: All right. Then Iím going to tell Anna about this date book, then.
Jack: What, are you threatening me? You go right ahead. That's just what Iíd like you to do.
Reggie: Hello. Montgomery residence.
Bianca: Reggie, it's Bianca. Can I speak to my Uncle Jack? Is he there?
Reggie: Um -- no problem. He's right here. Bianca.
Jack: Hey, honey. What's up?
Bianca: Uncle Jack, could you come over here as soon as possible?
Jack: Sure. Are you ok?
Bianca: She knows.
Jack: Ah, so I guess you can't talk. I'll -- I'll be right there.
Bianca: Ok, we'll be home. We're downstairs at the offices now, but Iím just about to take her upstairs.
Jack: All right, sweetheart. I'll be with you in just a few minutes.
Bianca: Mom, can we go home now? I really want to go home.
Erica: Of course, honey. Of course we can. Whatever you want.
Lena: If Bianca is in such bad shape, maybe I could help her. I don't understand it. I know I could make her feel better. You're just not letting me. None of you are.
Maggie: Look, if Bianca wanted to see you, I would make it happen, Lena.
Lena: You would?
Maggie: Bianca doesn't want you to be like this. She wants you to take her at her word and move on. The best thing that you could do for her right now is for you to be happy. You know, you have a great job --
Lena: You think I can go to work right now as though nothing had happened? Maggie, I don't care about my job.
Maggie: Hi. Are you -- yeah? Ok. No, no, no, I'm not busy at all.
Lena: Is that her?
Maggie: Ok, no, I'll see you soon.
Lena: Bianca -- Bianca!
Maggie: Lena, no.
Erica: Honey, there is no point in getting upset ahead of time; and I firmly believe that this whole thing -- this is an error. The first thing we have to do is we have to call David. We have to have David set up to do the testing all over again; and there's nothing that he would refuse you, sweetheart, as he has proven in the past.
Bianca: I know, Mom. You know that David -- he ran the tests the first time around.
Erica: I know, and he will do it again -- and again if necessary.
Erica: It's not true. It can't be. Oh, please tell me that it's not true.
Jack: I'm so, so sorry.
Erica: Dear Lord, please help us.
Jack: Come on, let's go.
Erica: All right.
[Knock on door]
Maggie: Bianca, it's me. It's me.
Bianca: Maggie, it is terrible. It's terrible.
Maggie: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry your mother knows. I --
Bianca: It's worse than I thought. Much worse.
Boyd: Ryan? Where'd that come from?
Kendall: Uh -- I -- I saw him.
Boyd: You saw Ryan? What, here?
Kendall: In Vegas.
Boyd: What? Where? Kendall, where in Vegas?
Kendall: In the hotel. Oh, God, no, in the lobby of the hotel. He didn't see me.
Boyd: Yeah, well, good.
Kendall: Did I do the right thing? I did, didn't I?
Boyd: Kendall, you did the only thing you could do.
Kendall: Yeah, but it's not over. I thought it was going to end, and it's never going to end.
Boyd: Look, it will if you let it. All right, now, I promised I would take care of everything, and I have.
Kendall: Thank you. Boyd, I don't know what I'd do --
Boyd: Never mind that now. All right, never mind. Everything is going to sort itself out now.
Kendall: No, not everything. I think I've lost my mother for good.
[Knock on door]
Greenlee: All right. Here we go.
Mary: Hello, again.
Juan Pablo: Thank you for coming so quickly.
Mary: Well, I'm intrigued. You said something about a plan for us?
Juan Pablo: I've been called back to Buenos Aires --
Juan Pablo: Indefinitely. I leave tomorrow.
Mary: Tomorrow? So the plan is goodbye?
Juan Pablo: That's up to you. I would like it very much if you came with me.
Mary: You mean as a traveling companion?
Juan Pablo: Run away with me, Mary. I want to share my world with you for as long as you want.
Mary: You do? I think I need a drink.
Juan Pablo: To celebrate your decision --
Mary: I haven't made a decision yet.
Juan Pablo: Well?
Mary: Well, you practically ejected me earlier from your bed.
Juan Pablo: Because you deserve so much, Mary. So much more. I know the type of woman you are -- at least I'm beginning to know you -- and I can't let you go.
Mary: But tomorrow?
Juan Pablo: Why wait? It's springtime in Argentina, and it's waiting for us. All you have to say is tell me yes.
Juan Pablo: Your answer, Mary?
Mary: Juan Pablo, this plan you have for us is beyond my wildest fantasies, but I can't leave my daughter.
Juan Pablo: She's a grown woman.
Mary: Yes, she is; but she needs me, and I like that. Greenlee's a remarkable young woman, and Iím just getting to know her.
Juan Pablo: Greenlee has her own life, a career. She can't devote the time and care to you that I can give you. Hmm? I want to show you my world.
Mary: Nobody's ever said anything like that to me, and it's very enticing; but what happens when you get tired of me?
Juan Pablo: Oh, impossible.
Mary: No, not so impossible.
Juan Pablo: Don't think about that now, hmm? No matter what happens, we stay friends.
Mary: We -- we will.
Juan Pablo: Mm-hmm; and we will have shared an adventure. I can see you in our family box during a polo match, cheering me on.
Mary: You would introduce me to your family?
Juan Pablo: Oh, they will adore you.
Mary: Well, I -- I just can't make a decision right now. Can I let you know in the morning?
Juan Pablo: Sleep on it, then; but I need to know first thing, ok?
Mary: First thing, yes. Hmm. Buena noche. Bye.
Juan Pablo: I made it very difficult for her.
Greenlee: So what? I'm her daughter. If she leaves the country without a second thought about me, she's worthless. I might as well go home.
Juan Pablo: Donít. You won't sleep.
Greenlee: What do you suggest, an all-night vigil?
Juan Pablo: Yes.
Juan Pablo: Mm-hmm. Like the last night we spent together.
Greenlee: At Atlantic City --
Juan Pablo: Mm-hmm.
Greenlee: When you ended up owing me a fortune.
Juan Pablo: I'm good for it.
Juan Pablo: Don't be sad.
Greenlee: I'm not. If my mother turns out to be a miserable liar, it means that maybe I'll finally have a father.
Edmund: So, you said you wanted my help.
Ryan: I'm in town to find Michael Cambias.
Edmund: You, too, huh? What do you have to do with Cambias?
Ryan: I have a debt to pay.
Edmund: To whom? Ryan, you said you trusted me.
Ryan: I do. I trust you. It's just you're writing an article for "Tempo" --
Edmund: Ok, fine, fine. You want it off the record? It's off the record.
Ryan: I'll be happy to tell you, happy to give you a story --
Ryan: In time.
Edmund: Right. Deal.
Edmund: Ok. So -- off the record, you're not planning on doing something illegal, are you?
Ryan: It's a little more complicated than that.
Edmund: I know you, Ryan. Ok. Does it involve -- this debt -- one of Michaelís victims?
Ryan: Not quite. You know what? I mean, I really don't want anybody knowing that Iím in town. That's why I didn't tell Maria who I was.
Edmund: Ok, fine. No problem. Ahem. Although staying at the Valley Inn is not exactly going undercover.
Ryan: I've been able to manage it somehow.
Edmund: You want to stay at Wildwind? You're welcome.
Ryan: I don't know.
Edmund: Too many memories there? Ok. You're not going to be able to dodge those for very long because Kendallís still around.
Ryan: Kendall's always around.
Kendall: A child of rape.
Boyd: Kendall, you keep saying that. What does it matter?
Kendall: Oh, God, it matters.
Boyd: No, it doesn't, all right? It has nothing to do with who you are now.
Kendall: I wasn't talking about myself.
Boyd: What are you talking about, then? Who?
Kendall: Bianca's pregnant. Boyd -- Boyd, Boyd, wait. Wait. Just come back here. Boyd, wait a minute.
Boyd: Son of a --
Kendall: Calm down. Calm down. Calm down and come back over here. So, what am I going to do now?
Boyd: Look, you say nothing.
Kendall: I did -- I did what I had to do, right? Isn't that right?
Boyd: Kendall, listen to me. You don't have anything to regret.
Kendall: Yeah, except that I lost my whole family.
Boyd: That's not true. All right, one day they're going to know what you did for them.
Kendall: I was so close. I was so close. I -- I was so close to knowing exactly what it was like to have a family who cares about me and that who will let me be a part of them.
Boyd: I know. I know. Come on, let me take you home.
Kendall: No, I can't leave now. If I leave now, it's over. That's it. I'll never have a chance --
Boyd: I'm not leaving you here like this.
Kendall: I want you to go, please. Boyd, just go. If you stick around, it'll only look weird.
Boyd: All right, fine; but just remember, Iíve got a couch in my office, all right? Try and get some sleep?
Kendall: Ok, I will.
Kendall: I was trying to save them. Don't they know that?
Jack: Sweetheart -- Bianca, your mom will be all right.
Bianca: She isn't all right. This is exactly what I thought.
Jack: Sweetheart, it only makes sense. She just heard the news, but she's going to be there for you. You can count on her.
Bianca: I'm not sure if I can. All I do is hurt her.
Jack: No, that is not true. I don't want you to say that anymore. Listen to me. Honey, just let me take care of your mom. It's time you started taking care of yourself, ok?
Bianca: You know, I'm starting to feel pregnant. I don't want to feel this way. I don't want any of this. What am I going to do about this baby?
Jack: You don't have to decide that right now. You have time.
Bianca: No, you know what? That's not true. The day that Michael raped me and I got pregnant was almost two months ago. I don't have time. I have, what, maybe two weeks, and then I need to make a decision.
Maggie: I made Erica some tea.
Jack: Thanks. Thanks, Maggie.
Maggie: Should I just bring it in to her?
Jack: No, no, I'll take it in to her. Bianca, you don't need to make a decision tonight, ok? What you do need to do is to have something to eat and get some sleep, will you? Please, promise me? Please?
Bianca: Yes. Will you please go in and be with Mom? She needs you now.
Jack: Ok, but you need someone, too, you know.
Maggie: I'll take care of her, don't worry.
Jack: Ok. Thanks.
[As the following song plays, Jack comforts Erica, Maggie comforts Bianca, Boyd comforts Kendall, and Juan Pablo comforts Greenlee.]

>> This week on "All My Children" --
Kendall: I have more money and power than you ever dreamed of.
Tad: Maybe when something works, you should just go for it.
David: We're both finally on the same side now.
Ryan: All right, Mike, let's see what you're up to.
Juan Pablo: You have come with your answer?
