Greenlee: There's a difference between falling in love and falling in lust.

Simone: Yeah, well, I'd settle for either.

Greenlee: Simone, you don't have to settle or hop in the sack on the second date.

Mia: Yeah. Whatever happened to holding hands and getting to know your future ex?

Simone: Oh, right. Men make that absolutely impossible.

Greenlee: Not always. Some men want women to be their friends as well as their lovers.

Mia: Well, it's the too good to be true ones that you really have to look out for.

Greenlee: Really, Mia, just because your heart has been singed --

Mia: Try blowtorched.

Greenlee: Ok. Well, maybe you've been burned because you move too fast.

Simone: Ooh.

Greenlee: Try looking into a man's soul before you slide between the sheets. It's worth the wait.

Mia: Greenlee, are you speaking from recent experience?

Greenlee: No. No, I'm just thinking out loud.

Simone: Oh, bull.

Mia: Come on, Greenlee.

Simone: Yeah.

Mia: Give us hope. Give us a name.

Simone: A phone number.

[Simone and Mia laugh]

Greenlee: You guys are so -- ok.

Mia: Oh!

Simone: Oh, good.

Greenlee: His name is Juan Pablo.

Simone: Juan Pablo?

Greenlee: Si.

Simone: The same Juan Pablo that you just tore apart for being a liar and a user?

Greenlee: Look, it's true that he sat on Carlos being his brother, but --

Simone: Mm-hmm.

Greenlee: But he had a good reason.

Simone: Well, you didn't think about that back then.

Greenlee: Can't I change my mind?

Mia: It's not about changing your mind, Greenlee. I mean, you really felt betrayed by Juan Pablo.

Simone: Yeah. And now you're saying that you think he's someone that you might fall for?

Greenlee: Even better -- he's someone I can finally trust.

Juan Pablo: Mary, this is unexpected.

Mary: Doesn't it beat a mint on your pillow?

Juan Pablo: Definitely, but how did you know this would please me?

Mary: Because I'm much better than a silly old mint.

Juan Pablo: Uh-huh.

[Music plays]

>> The role of Jamie Martin is now being played by Justin Bruening.

Jamie: So I wonder why they call this place the pit.

Woman: Well, it's pretty rank.

Jamie: I don't know. The peanuts on the floor give it that lived-in look.

Man: What's up, Daddy-o?

Jamie: Hey.

Man: How you doing -- all right?

Jamie: Yeah. Check out the illustrated man. Do you have any?

Woman: What?

Jamie: Tattoos.

Woman: Oh -- none that I could talk about.

Jamie: I'm James. Can I buy you a drink?

Woman: Hey, James, I'm Kerry, and I'll settle for a light beer. Be right back, James.

Jamie: Hey, could I get a light and a regular draft?

Bartender: Got it.

Jamie: Oh, hey, let's get a seat in the -- Dad. Uh -- what the hell --

Tad: Am I doing here? Gee, that's amazing. I was just going to ask you the same question. There's only one reason in the world you would come to a dump like this, and that's to get into trouble. Congratulations. You just bought yourself a cartload of it.

[Baby cries]

Bianca: I can't hold you. I can't even look at you.

Kendall: You can look at me, Bianca, can't you? I'm not my father. You can't blame me for his crimes.

[Baby cries]

Kendall: Shh. It's ok, sweetie. It's ok. This child is just as innocent as the day it was born. All it needs is its mother's love.

[Bianca gasps]

Kendall: Mother, please, just let me explain it to you.

Erica: Don't call me Mother. You are nothing to me. Do you understand? Nothing.

Kendall: No, please, you don't mean that. No, you don't mean that.

Erica: Don't touch me! Don't come near me! Don't come near me or my daughter Bianca ever again!

Kendall: Mother! Mother? Mother, please! Mother, come back! Please, Mother! Please, let me -- please let me explain it to you.

Tad: Come here.

[Music plays]

Tad: Put the beer down.

Jamie: Dad --

Tad: Shh.

Jamie: Dad, go. I don't need a chaperone.

Tad: Or a legal I.D. to buy a drink in this hole, apparently.

Jamie: The brew's for a girl I met.

Tad: She takes them two at a time?

Jamie: One's for me.

Tad: Really?

Jamie: Ever try picking up anyone decent with a diet soda?

Tad: Do you remember what happened the last time you got drunk?

Jamie: Yeah, at the -- the Chandler bash. I got wasted. Oh, but I haven't even taken a sip. Hook me up to a Breathalyzer test if you don't believe me.

Tad: I believe you.

Jamie: Then cut me a break. If Kerry comes back here and finds me getting a lecture on alcohol, she'll cut and run.

Tad: And that would probably be the worst thing to ever happen to you, right?

Jamie: Dad, I know all about your glory days.

Tad: Oh, God, here we go.

Jamie: Your senior year, the babe magnet.

Tad: Oh.

Jamie: Most likely to score off the playing field.

Tad: Who cares? I was an idiot. The world was still cooling. You think it's a good idea to follow in my footsteps?

Jamie: I bow to the master.

Tad: Stop it. It's not a joke. You know, I'm not laughing. I swear, son, sometimes I think you're karma for all the stupid things I ever did. Look, do me a favor, ok? Let's just leave now. I promise I won't do anything to embarrass you in front of your date.

Jamie: That is not fair!

Tad: As I told you a thousand times, life isn't fair.

Jamie: Oh, God. Here she comes.

Tad: Look, it's your choice, Chuck. Either you leave with me now or she finds out that you slept with a teddy bear till you were 14.

Jamie: Oh -- ok. But you don't play fair.

Tad: Like I said --

Jamie: Life isn't fair.

Tad: Excellent. I don't have to play fair. I'm your father. Remember?

Kerry: Who's your friend?

Tad: Hubba, hubba.

Kerry: Excuse me?

Jamie: He said Hubbard. Jesse Hubbard. He's my boss.

Kerry: Oh. This your watering hole?

Tad: No. Um -- no, I'm sorry. I -- Iím afraid I have to interrupt and -- and take James with me. We're in the middle of a very tense negotiation, and I need him back at the office to finesse a deal.

Kerry: Oh, really?

Tad: Oh, yeah, yeah. He's -- kid's got the Midas touch. You know, sometimes, he's the only one that the clients will deal with.

Kerry: Oh.

Jamie: I'm sorry I had to cut this short. I could give you a call if --

Kerry: Here's my number.

Jamie: Great.

Kerry: Mm-hmm.

Jamie: I mean, I'll give you a ring if I get a minute.

Kerry: Take care, James.

Tad: Good evening. Nice to meet you.

Kerry: Nice to meet you.

Jamie: Dad, thanks.

Tad: Oh, shut up.

Jamie: So, what are you going to tell Mom?

Tad: It depends. Give me the card. You are so good.

Aidan: You got your story, Edmund, so get out.

Edmund: I got a story. I'll see you at dinner sometime.

Kendall: Sure.

Aidan: Who does that guy think he is?

Kendall: Edmund had every right to say what he said to me.

Aidan: Based on what?

Kendall: Family ties, past history. Same as Erica.

Aidan: Well, Erica had no right to slap you today or put you down.

Kendall: Erica reacted exactly the way I expected her to, and I can stand it for now. She'll forgive me once she knows the truth.

Aidan: The truth? What exactly is the truth, Kendall? Tell me. Tell me it all.

Bianca: Who's there?

Erica: Oh.

Bianca: Oh, Mom!

Erica: Just me, honey, sweetheart.

Bianca: Finally. Have you been with your lawyers all this time?

Erica: Oh, there was so much unfinished business to take care of.

Bianca: Oh. It's -- it's Michael Cambias, right?

Erica: What?

Bianca: Michael Cambias. You're not going to -- you're not going to be able to get back Enchantment from him, right?

Erica: Oh, honey. Look, I don't want you to worry about Michael Cambias or anything that he did at all because I am not going to give up fighting.

Bianca: Yes, but it doesn't sound like you're going to be able to get your company back, and I know that it's like your baby.

Erica: Honey, you are my baby. Nothing else matters. Tell me, did you have a good nap?

Bianca: Um -- no, not really.

Erica: Oh, I'm sorry. Did you have bad dreams?

Bianca: Uh, I -- I think Iím just -- I've just been cooped up here way too long.

Erica: Bianca, sweetheart, look at me. Did something happen?

Bianca: Mom, um -- I'm tired.

Erica: I know. But, please -- please let me help you. Please. Is there something you need to tell me?

Greenlee: So my mother insists that Jackson knew about me before I was born.

Simone: And she wasn't struck by lightning?

Greenlee: I didn't believe her at first. I didn't want to. I've been lied to so many times and trusted all the wrong people.

Simone: Well, not all the wrong people.

Greenlee: Well, here's the deal -- either my mother has stooped to an all-time low --

Simone: Well, that gets my vote.

Greenlee: Or my real dad is just as much a liar as my bogus one.

Simone: And you can't even flip a coin.

Greenlee: Well, this is where Juan Pablo comes in. He's helping me expose the liar and the lie.

Mia: How?

Simone: Yeah?

Greenlee: By turning his considerable Latin charms on to my mother.

Simone: Your mother. Well, I can't believe that she'd ever be able to resist him.

Greenlee: Maybe. Or maybe my mother will choose me over a one-night stand.

Mia: Wow. You know, Juan Pablo is really showing up for you in a very big way.

Simone: Yeah -- working your mother without a chair or whip?

Greenlee: Hmm.

Simone: Greenlee, I think he really has a thing for you.

Greenlee: Excuse me.

Mia: Wait. Where are you going?

Greenlee: Upstairs. I've got to tell Juan Pablo something.

Simone: What, some sinful sweet nothing?

Greenlee: Wouldn't you like to know.

Simone: Actually, yes, I would. Yes, I would! Oh, man. I wish I had a man that would go that far for me.

Juan Pablo: Mary -- this is no good, Mary.

Mary: No, you let me be the judge of that.

Juan Pablo: No. You see that call that came earlier?

Mary: Yes, your business call. That's done now. We can play.

Juan Pablo: I'm afraid my stay here has been cut short. Soon, I must return to Argentina.

Mary: Well, how long are you going to be gone?

Juan Pablo: Uh -- I have no idea. Weeks, months perhaps?

Mary: Well, that's a shame, but at least we can enjoy the time we have together right now.

Juan Pablo: Oh, there's nothing I'd like more, but don't tempt me.

Mary: Why not?

Juan Pablo: Because you deserve more than one night in a hotel room.

Mary: Darling, Iíll take whatever you have to offer me.

Juan Pablo: Uh -- I want to take you away on my private jet --

Mary: Hmm.

Juan Pablo: Make love to you on a bed of rose petals -- um -- with the sound of the waves crashing on the shore.

Mary: Oh, that sounds so sweet, but, you know, I'll just take the air conditioner on high and a drink from the mini-bar. That's ok.

Juan Pablo: Ah, but I want to do right with you, Mary. Help me be strong, please.

[Knock on door]

Mary: That's probably the champagne that I ordered. Entrťe!

Greenlee: Mother, what the hell is going on?

Mary: Greenlee, I can assure you I've done nothing to be ashamed of.

Greenlee: You just dropped into a man's hotel room wearing next to nothing for what, turn-down service?

Mary: This has nothing to do with you.

Greenlee: Excuse me? You promised you wouldn't throw me over for the next available gigolo with a megawatt smile.

Mary: That's not what's going on here.

Greenlee: And you -- if you're going after my mother for her money, guess what -- she's stone cold broke.

Juan Pablo: I know that, but your mother -- she means more to me than money.

Mary: Darling, please try to understand, Juan --

Greenlee: Understand what? Two users in heat? Do the world a favor. The next time you get the urge to merge, put out the "Do Not Disturb" sign.

Mary: Greenlee? Greenlee!

[Door slams]

Mary: I have to go after her.

Juan Pablo: Yes, of course. Your daughter needs you.

Mary: Yes. Yes, she does. Greenlee. Please, try to understand.

Greenlee: Why should I care? All I want is a mother who cares. Do you know what it's like spending your entire life trying to get your mother to love you?

Kendall: I have been through hell and back trying to get Erica to accept me. I cannot lose her now. I wonít.

Aidan: Don't go and see Erica like this.

Kendall: Aidan, I have to. I have to see her now.

Aidan: What, and tell her the truth you've been hiding? You think that's going to make everything ok?

Kendall: Just leave it alone, Aidan.

Aidan: No, you're going to go see Erica, aren't you? Huh? You're going to tell her that you killed Michael Cambias?

Kendall: I told you I did not kill Michael Cambias.

Aidan: So why are you in a big rush?

Kendall: Aidan --

Aidan: Come on. Tell me your secret.

Kendall: Just back off, ok? This is between me and my mother.

Aidan: Come on, Kendall. I'm waiting.

Kendall: Aidan, please listen to me. Just take Edmundís advice and just stay away from me.

Aidan: Edmund's a friggin' jerk.

Kendall: Look -- look, Aidan, I care about you, ok? I don't want my mess of a life to wreck yours, so just do yourself a favor and stay away.

Aidan: Oh!

David: Whoa! Hey, take it easy!

Aidan: Well, what do you know -- another night crawler.

Bianca: Mom, it's late and we're both tired. We should talk in the morning. You know, Uncle Jack is supposed to come by.

Erica: He left a few messages for me on my voice mail.

Bianca: And you didn't call him back?

Erica: No, not -- not yet. Bianca, do Uncle Jackís messages have anything to do with why you seem so troubled?

Bianca: Mom, please.

Erica: Well, it seems like maybe you and Uncle Jack know something that I don't know and -- and maybe you just don't know how to tell me about it. Does it have anything to do with Michael Cambias? Please --

Bianca: Oh, Mom.

Erica: Baby, please, just talk to me, honey. Talk to me.

[Knock on door]

Bianca: We should see who that is.

Kendall: Erica, please -- please let me explain and make you understand.

Erica: I understand perfectly. You get out of here right now.

Bianca: Wait, whoa, whoa -- what's going on?

Erica: It's nothing, sweetheart. Kendall was just leaving.

Kendall: No, I'm not going anywhere until I tell you why I married Michael Cambias.

Bianca: Oh, my God!

Erica: Bianca --

Bianca: Kendall, tell me that you didn't marry Michael Cambias.

Kendall: Bianca, I didn't mean to blurt it out like that --

Erica: Oh, why don't you just tell her. Go ahead. You said you came here to explain. Explain to your sister how you helped the man who raped her jump bail.

Bianca: You did what?

Erica: Oh, yes. Kendall's been going all over town telling everyone that she married Michael Cambias in Las Vegas. He stayed there while she came here to do his dirty work.

Kendall: You do not know the whole story. Erica, please just listen to me.

Erica: I don't even know how you could show your face. The bride of Michael Cambias? You really should be ashamed of yourself.

Kendall: I know how bad this looks, but I did it to protect you.

Erica: Protect me? I haven't done anything. Where is this coming from? Did Michael Cambias send you here? Was this mockery of a wedding -- was this his idea?

Kendall: No, look. The way this works, I can get Enchantment back. I have Michaelís power of attorney. I can make it happen.

Erica: Oh, my God. What are you talking about? You think that you could just gloss over what you did by throwing money at me? You think I give a damn about money or my company after what's happened to my daughter? You really have no soul, do you, Mrs. Cambias? Or should you go by the name you were born with -- Kendall Fields, like your father.

Aidan: You've been sniffing around here a lot, haven't you? How come?

David: I don't answer to you.

Aidan: Oh, I think you should if what you're up to is going to hurt Anna.

David: Why don't you call off your inner bulldog, all right? I'm not going to do anything to hurt your auntie.

Aidan: Only if I could believe those words.

David: Believe it.

Aidan: I'm not leaving.

David: You missed your calling, Aidan. You could have been a wonderful rent-a-cop. Don't work too hard.

Aidan: What are you up to, Davey-boy? What are you trying to hide?

Tad: Lucy, we're home.

[Brooke laughs]

Brooke: Hey.

Tad: Hail to the mightly clan McTad.

Brooke: I didn't know you guys were meeting up.

Jamie: Oh, we sort of ran into each other.

Brooke: Oh, yeah? Where?

Jamie: Mom, are you doing something different with your hair?

Brooke: Maybe.

Jamie: Well, you look really good. I'm going to have to take you out and show you off. But first I got to run upstairs and fix that closet shelf that keeps falling down. Love you.

Tad: Remember to whitewash the fence, Huck.

Jamie: Ok.

Brooke: What did he do?

Tad: It's nothing to have kittens about.

Brooke: What did he do?

Tad: The good news is he wasn't with a hooker.

Brooke: Oh --

Tad: He wasn't drunk, and he wasn't in some kind of barroom brawl.

Brooke: Barroom?

Tad: Yeah.

Brooke: Our son was in a barroom?

Tad: Sort of.

Brooke: What was he doing there?

Tad: Cruising chicks.

Brooke: Excuse me?

Tad: You speak English? Let me lay it out for you. If I am any judge of the situation, and I think I am, one day real soon our son is going to walk out that door a virgin and, when he comes back, he's going to have a real big smile on his face.

Mary: Greenlee, you can't expect me to go back to being a virgin.

Greenlee: Were your fingers crossed when you promised to act like a real mom?

Mary: Of course they weren't. I meant every word of it.

Greenlee: Why can't you control yourself? We were just downstairs having dinner, giving this mother-daughter thing a shot.

Mary: Yes, and I loved every precious moment we had.

Greenlee: Yeah, but you wouldn't stay. And the minute that I paid the tab, you shot up here to sex it up with your latest boy-toy. Maternal instincts gone in 60 seconds.

Mary: Greenlee, I never said I would give up my entire life for you. I'm a woman in my prime. I have needs.

Greenlee: Can we not go there, please?

Mary: Sweetheart, be fair. I gave up a dinner date with Juan Pablo to spend time with you. And here I am, standing in the hallway in my negligee, chasing after you and not him. How much more do I have to do to prove myself to you? Now, Iím sorry that you found out about our little tryst in such an awkward way, but it's not as though we expected you to drop in. What are you doing here, anyway?

Greenlee: I -- I couldn't sleep. I've been really upset about Jackson lying to me, and I needed you, Mommy. The maids saw you, you know.

Mary: I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. Why don't we have breakfast tomorrow or -- or brunch? Actually, why don't we have lunch?

Greenlee: But I need you now, Mommy. Can we go to your room to talk? Or do your needs come first?

Mary: You're my daughter. Your needs come first. Tell me you believe me.

Brooke: What is this?

Tad: Fortification for what you're about to go through. Flashback to all the stupid stuff we did when we were in high school.

Brooke: Oh, that was different.

Tad: Yeah, right. Sure. Like you weren't some hot to trot little cutie on the back of a hog.

Brooke: Listen, call me a hypocrite, I just don't want my son having sex yet.

Tad: Well, I don't think there's that much you can do about it.

Brooke: I could lock him in his room until he's 30.

Tad: You've been talking to my father. Or -- smack -- I got a better idea. We can try to remember what it's like to be so young and so curious and so full of life that your skin hurts.

Brooke: Listen, I may be a romantic and idealist. I just -- I just want Jamie to be in love when he makes love for the first time.

Tad: Look at the bright side -- he might be. That age, I don't know how he's going to know the difference.

Brooke: Stop it.

Tad: Well, you know, to him, there's no tomorrow. There's only today.

Brooke: Well, you know there is a tomorrow. There's always repercussions. I mean, there's things like pregnancy and HIV --

Tad: I know, I know, I know. And you and I have been through it with him, you know, together and separately so many times, we've done everything but tattoo it across his forehead. He's a bright boy. He's not going to do anything stupid.

Brooke: So I guess we just have to hope for the best, yes?

Tad: Mm-hmm.

Brooke: And just that he treats his women in his life with respect.

Tad: Chin chin. And having got a good eyeful of the latest recruit, I can say with all pride that my son has inherited my eye for a well-turned ankle and an incredibly melon-like butt.

[Brooke laughs]

Brooke: So much for respect. You are so hopeless.

Tad: Which is why you love me. As long as we're feeling sorry for ourselves, you want to get naked?

Brooke: Oh, maybe later.

Tad: What are you working on?

Brooke: Oh. Well, Edmund and I are sharing a byline about Michael Cambias.

Tad: Michael Cambias?

Brooke: Yeah.

Tad: What's your angle?

Brooke: Well, I don't know yet. I mean, we're not including what he did to Bianca.

Tad: It's just as well. She's been through enough.

Brooke: No, we're spotlighting the, you know, hostile corporate takeovers and that shocking elopement with Kendall Hart.

Tad: It's a hell of a story.

Brooke: You know what? I don't think we know the half of it.

Erica: Leave now, Kendall. You've done enough for one day.

Bianca: No, wait! Kendall, I need to talk to you.

Erica: No, Bianca.

Bianca: I -- Iím sorry, Mom. I -- I need to speak with my sister alone.

Erica: Bianca, I can't let you put yourself through this.

Bianca: I have to. Let's go downstairs.

Erica: Bianca, please don't do this. Don't do this to yourself, honey.

David: Hi. Bianca.

David: What was that all about? Did Kendall reveal anything more about Cambias?

Erica: No. David, what brings you out this late? What are you doing here? Please, please don't tell me that something else has gone wrong.

Mia: Wow, we are still hitting big with our Sexy Man Contest.

Simone: Heavy traffic. And this is the last week for America to vote online for their favorite Mr. Hottie.

Mia: Thank God the Cambias takeover didn't hurt voter turnout.

Simone: Yeah. You know, I still don't understand why Kendall, you know, is, like, deserting to the enemy.

Mia: Sometimes the bad guys aren't always so black and white. Simone --

Simone: Oh, so you want me to make myself scarce? Are you sure?

Mia: Yeah.

Simone: Really?

Mia: Yeah.

Simone: Ok. All right, you take the computer.

Mia: Sure.

Simone: All right, call me later, fill me in.

Mia: All right. Ahem. May I?

Edmund: Please.

Mia: Edmund -- I'd like to be friends again. I just -- I want you to know that if the love of my life came back the way Maria did, I would've done the same thing. So --

Edmund: I missed you.

Mia: Yeah, I missed you. So, where's Maria?

Edmund: Home with the kids.

Mia: Oh. And you?

Edmund: I'm here. Exposť on Michael Cambias. This is his stomping ground, I hear. You know him. You know his -- his wife. What do you think of this wedding farce?

Mia: Oh, no. No, no, no, no. I -- Iím not going to say anything about Kendall just so that you can sell copy.

Edmund: Is that what Iím asking? I'm after him, actually, but now that you mention it, why is it that everybody's sticking up for Kendall? I mean, hasn't she double-crossed half the town?

Mia: Edmund, if you go to print with this story, you'll be trashing a whole lot more people than just Kendall.

Kendall: Bianca, I would never hurt you. I didn't do this to hurt you. Actually ---

Bianca: Tell me this, Kendall -- you really married him? You married Michael Cambias?

Kendall: It sounds so much worse when you actually say it. You just have to know I would never hurt you. Please know that!

Bianca: Kendall --

Kendall: Please.

Bianca: What are you doing here? Why -- why did you come here? I mean, did -- what, do you expect a wedding present? Tell me, what circle of hell are you registered in?

Kendall: I will get Michael back for what he did.

Bianca: You can't get back what he took from me.

Kendall: I know that. I'm sorry. That's not what I meant.

Bianca: So, you admit that you did this for the money. You did this for Enchantment and for Fusion.

Kendall: No, Bianca, it is so much more than that. I swear to you, I would never take Michaelís side against you. I would die before Iíd do that.

Bianca: No, you did. You did. You stood by him, and you promised that you would love and cherish him forever. You -- you validated him.

Kendall: No.

Bianca: Yes, you did. You kissed him. You let him touch you after what he did to me. Did you sleep with him?

Kendall: No, no. God, Bianca, no. I would never do that. I hate Michael. I hate him for what he did to you. I promised you that he would pay for what he did, and he will, and he did. I kept my promise, Bianca. Michael's days of getting away with anything are over.

[Knock on door]

Greenlee: It's ok. My mother's gone.

Juan Pablo: Where is Mary?

Greenlee: She's tucked in for the night. I gave her a double brandy, so you're safe for now. But if I were you, Iíd double-lock my door tonight.

Juan Pablo: What happened out there?

Greenlee: The usual. My mother swore up and down that I come first in her life.

Juan Pablo: She did run after you, Greenlee.

Greenlee: Well, she also crawled in your bed, which means her taste in guys is definitely improving.

Juan Pablo: Tell me why you came back up here.

Greenlee: It doesn't matter.

Juan Pablo: Whatever you have to say to me matters.

Greenlee: Juan Pablo, you told me that there are people I could trust. I just have to be willing to take that chance.

Juan Pablo: Yes.

Greenlee: And I just want you to know I'm taking that chance on you.

Mia: Edmund, Fusion has barely managed to survive Michaelís takeover. And in a few weeks, we're going to be announcing our contest winner. So if you start digging up dirt on Kendall and Michael now, the bad press could bury us.

Edmund: I'm sorry, Mia, really, but this is a legitimate story and Kendall helped Cambias jump bail. That makes her an accomplice. You know, you want to blame somebody for bad PR, blame Kendall.

Mia: Ok. All right, fine. But could you just sit on it? You know, just sit on it just for a few weeks, just till the contest is over.

Edmund: Oh, Mia. You want me to compromise the magazine's integrity as a favor to Fusion?

Mia: Well, it's not just the company I'm worried about. Believe me, Edmund, I'm not the only one who wants this story to go away.

Tad: You know, if you're not careful, people might start canceling their subscriptions.

Brooke: Well, I disagree. Listen, could you do me a favor? Could you do some background checking for me?

Tad: Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no. Not on your life. I'm staying as far away from this thing as I possibly can, and you should, too.

Brooke: Why?

Tad: Because my gut tells me that this thing is not going to have a happy ending, especially since it concerns so many people that we care about.

Brooke: Well, wouldn't that be more of a reason to run with this, so that the reporting would be balanced and fair?

Tad: No. Do yourself a favor. Leave it alone. Michael Cambias is gone. Let him stay that way for all our sakes.

David: Erica, look. I could be worried about nothing, but I searched my cabin from top to bottom once again looking for that datebook and I couldn't find it anywhere. So I thought it would be a good idea to go to Michaelís condo to look there.

Erica: Well, did you find it?

David: No. I didn't even get inside. Aidan was playing watchdog.

Erica: Did he see you?

David: Yeah. Oh, but don't worry. He's not out to cause us any trouble.

Erica: Oh, well, I hope not, David. And I pray that my datebook is not at that scene because if anyone found out that we were there --

Aidan: So this is what you came back for, Davey-boy.

David: Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have bothered you with this. I'm sure the worst is over.

Erica: Well, I thought it was, and then Kendall showed up with the damn ring on her finger.

David: Yeah, but that doesn't mean she knows anything. The fact that she hasn't spoken a word is a good sign, right?

Erica: Well, you never know with Kendall.

David: Trust me.

Erica: How could I not? You were there for me when I needed you most.

David: I'm going to go, all right? Are you going to be ok?

Erica: Oh, of course.

David: In case Kendall says anything to you --

Erica: Oh, don't worry about Kendall. I know how to handle Kendall.

David: All right.

Kendall: I swear to you, Bianca, Michael will never hurt you again.

Bianca: How can you promise me that? You canít. It's just another one of your lies, Kendall. You can't promise me that. I mean, you have to stand by Michael now. You're his wife.

Kendall: No, no, that's not how it is, Bianca. Listen to me. He is gone. Michael is gone. You will never have to see his face ever again. He will never be in your face the way that Richard Fields was in Ericaís, reminding her and torturing her.

Bianca: Are you serious? No reminders? That's funny coming from you after the hell that you've put Mom through all these years. I mean, is that what Iím going to have to look forward to? My child coming back in 25 years to torture me?

Kendall: Bianca, what are you talking about?

Bianca: You didn't make it all go away, Kendall. You canít. It's not over. It's never going to be over for me, just like it was never over for Mom, because Michael got me pregnant.

>> This week on "All My Children" --

David: Is anybody here?

Greenlee: Do it. Seduce my mother.

Kendall: I own everything in this office, including you.

Aidan: What are you hiding, hmm?

Erica: This can't be happening to you. We'll make it all go away.
