>> Previously on "All My Children" --

Edmund: Mia made this day especially just for you.

Erica: Could you find it in your heart to help your sister?

Bianca: I want to know what it feels like to be with somebody and never want to leave.

Flanders: I sent a message to Montgomery. Now I'm looking for my ticket and my passport out of here.

Chris: You watch your back. Flanders knows you taped those conversations, and he's not a man to be fooled with.

Maria: Hello! Guess what -- no vending machine snacks for us tonight. No, Sir. We've got French bread, we have got some Caesar salad, we have got pasta puttanesca, extra spicy, and a robust barolo -- what you say -- and I borrowed a hot plate from the guy next door, which was very cool of him. I do hope you like the extra spicy because I kind of got us extra spicy. What are you doing? Aidan, what the hell's going on?

Aidan: I can explain.

Maria: Were you going to explain to me or were you just going to sneak out?

Mia: Well, we have some fruit salad and we have some chicken and we have --

Edmund: Mia made all this just for us. Isn't that great?

Maddie: I guess.

Mia: Well, I don't know about you, but I am starving. So I hope you don't mind if we, you know, eat dessert first. You like chocolate, don't you?

Maddie: It's all right.

Mia: It's all right.

Edmund: Let me try one, please. Thank you. Mmm. This tastes just like Peggy makes it.

Mia: Boy, I really hope that means they're good.

Edmund: No, it means they're incredible.

Mia: Well, you know, chocolate is my thing. You know, I knew it was going to be sunny today, so I also brought a little something that you might -- where are they? Uh, let me see here. They are here somewhere. Ah, yes -- shades! For you.

Edmund: Ah, thank you.

Mia: You're welcome. And for you. Great!

[Mia laughs]

Edmund: Well, you look like Hollywood.

Mia: And you look fabulous!

Edmund: Well, thank you, darling! What do you think?

Maddie: You look silly.

Mia: You look silly.

Edmund: Why would you say that?

Mia: You know -- ahem -- Maddie, I -- I made your daddy sees stars.

Maddie: How?

Mia: "How," you ask? Well, with -- ahem -- these. Yes. And of course, for dramatic effect, these. And last but not least, we have this. So what do you think, Mad dog?

Erica: Kendall. I'm surprised to see you.

Kendall: Well, I knew you'd be here with Jackson. How is he?

Erica: Oh, he's -- he's still a little weak, but he's certainly ready to get out of here.

Kendall: Oh, good, I'm glad.

Erica: Well, so, did you do it? Did you tell Bianca about how Lena is involved with Michael Cambias?

Kendall: Not yet. I've been thinking about it and --

Erica: Well, Kendall, you have to do it, I mean, because if I talk to Bianca about Lena, then she -- she will take it as a judgment, not a warning. But if it comes from you, then maybe it'll work.

Kendall: I'm sorry, Erica, but I can't do it.

Bianca: Good morning! Oh, I didn't hear the alarm.

Lena: Or the marching band or breakfast.

[Bianca laughs]

Bianca: Oh, breakfast. I really slept through that?

Lena: Mm-hmm.

Bianca: Did I snore?

Lena: The waiter fled in terror. Coffee?

Bianca: Please.

Lena: You like it black, right?

Bianca: Yes, very.

Lena: Oh. Hope you're hungry.

Bianca: Mmm, looks wonderful. Hey. Last night was spectacular. I had a great time.

Lena: So did I.

[Phone rings]

Bianca: Of course. Well, that will be my mother's search party flushing us out.

Lena: I'll take care of it.

[Ring]

Lena: Hello?

Michael: It's me. Game over, Darling.

Chris: Okay, Evan. Let's do it.

Mia: Okay, this is a jab. That's right. Good. And this is an uppercut. Ooh, yeah, okay. Oh, oh, and this -- is a haymaker. Ha! You know, the secret to boxing is in the legs.

Maddie: In the legs?

Mia: You got to bob, you got to weave. You got to shimmy, you got to shake. You got to float like a butterfly.

Edmund: [As Muhammad Ali] float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. [Normal voice] Hi, Jessica. What are you doing?

Jessica: Playing with my friends.

Edmund: Oh, yeah?

Jessica: What are you doing?

Maddie: Shadowboxing.

Jessica: Will you teach us?

Maddie: Can I, Daddy? Please?

Edmund: Absolutely, absolutely. Just stay where we can see you, okay?

Mia: Oh, remember -- punch your shadows, not your friends.

Maddie: Thanks a bunch.

Mia: You're welcome a bunch.

Edmund: I believe you scored another knockout punch.

Mia: Sometimes a little bribery goes a long way.

Edmund: Yeah, sometimes. But you know what, it was more than that. It was more than bribery. It was -- it was you. You went all out to make her feel special and she felt that, and it made a difference.

Mia: I hope so.

Edmund: Made a difference to me.

[Mia laughs]

Edmund: You know what I think? I think Jake Martin is the biggest jerk in the whole world.

Mia: And I think that Maureen Gorman is right up there with him.

Maria: I didn't mean to jump on you. It just looked like -- I mean, I don't -- what's going on, then?

Aidan: Well, soon after dinner, we have to -- we have to leave. I took the liberty; I packed a few of your clothes. I hope you don't mind.

Maria: Oh. Okay. Yeah, you packed everything right down to the toothbrush. Holy cow. We're not going on another island thing trip, are we, because I don't think I'm quite ready for one of those.

Aidan: No, nothing like that.

Maria: Okay, good. Well, where are we going?

Aidan: My God, you deserve better than a fleabag motel.

Maria: No, I think some of the fleas are kind of cute. I'm used to them.

Aidan: Well, you deserve better, baby.

Maria: I don't really need anything more than just you. And what's that? What is that?

Aidan: I got us an upgrade.

Maria: Aidan, what have you done?

Aidan: I got us a proper room at a proper hotel at the Valley Inn.

Maria: Aidan, we really can't afford that.

Aidan: Don't worry. As soon as I can afford it, I'm going to get us a real home, a real house. You're all right with that, aren't you?

Chris: Evan, you picked the time and the place. I'm here. Where the hell are you?

Erica: You're the only who can do this, Kendall.

Kendall: Well, what about Myrtle? I mean, Myrtle can sit Bianca down with a cup of coffee, spill about Lena, then tell her a carny story to make her feel better. And Bianca will believe her. I'll just muck it up.

Erica: I don't want Myrtle involved in this. And you still want to shred Michael Cambias, don't you?

Kendall: You know I do.

Erica: Well, then you have to do this. You really have to do this, Kendall. And sooner. Sooner than later, because the longer Bianca goes without knowing this, the more taken in by this woman she is.

Kendall: I still think it's too risky.

Erica: Too risky? For whom?

Kendall: For me.

Erica: Kendall, please.

Kendall: Listen, Erica. Listen to me, okay? If Bianca doesn't believe me, she's going to go straight to Lena. Then Lena's going to go straight to Michael. Do you know how hard I have worked to make him trust me? If he finds out that I tipped off Bianca about Lena, that's it. It's over.

Erica: Look, crushing Michael Cambias is very, very important, but it's nothing compared to protecting Bianca. It's much more important to protect Bianca than a petty revenge scheme.

Kendall: Our deal was that we would bring Michael down together. This could blow everything.

Erica: Not if you handle it correctly.

Kendall: Okay. Well, what if -- what if Bianca does believe me? What if she does? Then she'll hate me forever.

Erica: Kendall, she already hates you. I mean, surely, you must know that. But this -- this could be your chance to change things.

Kendall: How?

Erica: Because if Bianca realizes that you were trying to protect her, that could make her more open to you in the future. Now, wouldn't that be worth taking a risk for?

Lena: Now is not a good time.

Michael: Oh, you have company, do you? You usually kick your marks out of bed before dawn. It must be love.

Lena: This really isn't any of your business.

Michael: Get rid of her. Meet me at my condo.

Lena: I'm afraid that's not possible.

Michael: Make it possible. I have information you want to hear. Lena? Lena? You know, I'm not in the mood for your lovesick games.

Bianca: Hey, that wasn't really my mother, was it?

Lena: No.

Bianca: You seem kind of rattled.

Lena: Oh, it's nothing. It's just this old man who lives in the hotel, and he's lonely. He starts drinking and then he calls me.

Bianca: Well, that's terrible. You need to get the management to take care of it.

Lena: Oh, I already did. It's not a problem, really. It's nothing for you to worry about.

Bianca: Do you know how nice it is for me to have somebody to worry about?

Kendall: It's a hell of a risk.

Erica: Kendall, please. After Bianca realizes that you had the courage to tell her the truth, I am sure she's going to forgive you.

Kendall: Better me than you, right?

Erica: I beg your pardon?

Kendall: Oh, come on, Erica. You can't stand the thought of your precious daughter shutting you out because you exploded her romantic bubble.

Erica: Listen to me, Kendall. After this is all over, after your feelings, your thrill of revenge against Michael Cambias are gone, wouldn't it be nice to know that you and Bianca -- you had a new understanding?

Kendall: Do you think -- could you have a new understanding with me?

Erica: Kendall, if you help me with this, I am sure that I might have a new understanding with whatever it is you want from me.

Kendall: Okay, you know what? You know what I want, Erica. You know what I want from you. Isn't that what you're counting on?

[Heart monitor beeps]

Erica: Hi, there.

Jack: Hi, yourself. You got all your calls made?

Erica: I suppose so.

Jack: You suppose so? What is that supposed to mean? I mean, what -- what happened out there?

Erica: Oh. Well, I -- I did something I never thought I would do.

Jack: And that would be?

Erica: I asked Kendall to help me with Bianca.

Lena: Oh, here. Wait.

Bianca: Oh, thank you. Do you mind if I take a shower?

Lena: Do I mind? Why would I mind?

Bianca: Well, I don't know. Maybe you need some privacy or you have things to do. Or maybe, you know, last night was last night, and this morning is --

Lena: This morning is the most wonderful morning I've had in a very long time.

Bianca: Well, good. I just -- I don't want to intrude.

Lena: Bianca, you're welcome here always, all right?

Bianca: All right.

Lena: Okay, go take your shower. There's fresh towels in the cabinet.

Bianca: All right. I won't be long.

Lena: Take your time. Try the grapefruit scrub.

[Knock on door]

Lena: What now? Michael.

Michael: Cozy.

Lena: What are you doing here?

Michael: Well, when you hung up on me, I had to see for myself.

Lena: I want you to leave.

Michael: Was Bianca expecting you, or can you chat?

Lena: I have nothing to say to you.

Michael: Don't shut me out, Darling. Not unless you want your mother to die in jail.

[Maria cries]

Aidan: Maureen, what's wrong?

Maria: I don't know, it's just -- I don't know. I'm so used to taking care of myself. I pack my own stuff; I've always found my own way.

Aidan: Yeah, and you are very good at it, I promise you. I mean, you found your way to me, didn't you?

Maria: I did.

Aidan: It's about time you're going to let someone look after you.

Maria: I love you so much.

Aidan: And I love you.

Maria: I love you.

Aidan: You okay?

Maria: I am.

Aidan: Well, I'm going to go finish packing.

Maria: Okay. You are determined, aren't you?

Aidan: Yep. We're out of this place. We're never going to sleep in this bed again because moving out of here is just the beginning of everything.

Maria: Yeah, but you know I'm happy with you no matter where we are.

Aidan: Yeah. Well, I want to give you something better.

Maria: But you did. You did the day that you walked into my life. And before I met you, I had no idea what I wanted -- what I wanted or what I wanted to do.

Aidan: And now?

Maria: I want you.

Aidan: And I want to be the one that you can always count on, Maureen. Always.

Maria: You are. You know, I've never felt this safe with anyone before.

Aidan: Never?

Maria: Never. Uh, they said that, you know, I felt like this with Edmund, but I don't remember it. So it's only you. It's only you. This is the beginning of everything, isn't it?

Aidan: Uh-huh.

Maria: It is.

[Music plays]

Edmund: You never told me --

Mia: You didn't ask.

Maddie: Hey, Daddy!

Edmund: Hi, kids. How was shadowboxing?

Jessica: Maddie was great.

Maddie: Yes. I'm the champion of the world!

Mia: Woo-hoo, you're the champion!

Edmund: Congratulations, champ!

Mia: So I guess that means you've probably worked up an appetite now, right?

Maddie and Jessica: Yeah.

Edmund: Ah, okay. Well, you about ready for cupcakes?

Maddie and Jessica: Yeah.

Edmund: Yeah?

Maddie: Can I share them?

Mia: Of course you can share them.

Maddie: Thank you.

Mia: That was -- what just happened?

Edmund: I think you just made a friend. Maddie doesn't kiss just anyone, you know. That was big.

Mia: Yeah, that was huge. Wow. Maddie's just -- she's just full of surprises, huh?

Edmund: Yeah, she is.

Mia: Yeah.

Edmund: Kind of a lot like her old man.

Mia: And how's that?

Edmund: He doesn't kiss just anyone, either.

***********************************************

[Phone rings]

Evan’s voice: You know who you reached. Leave a number.

[Answering machine beeps]

Chris: All right, I'm tired of waiting, Evan. I'm leaving.

(Man on TV) the dry air is coming with the high pressure zone that will be

Lena: What have you done to my mother?

Michael: Oh, why such shock? You had a choice, remember? Bianca's love or your mother's life. You chose love.

Lena: Where is she?

Michael: Well, for now, I imagine she's puttering around in her garden in Oostende. But as soon as word gets out that your mother the fashionista was actually communista, with ties to the secret police, no less, your new government might have other plans for her.

Lena: Michael, you don't know anything.

Michael: You never used to doubt me, Lena. You know, since your mother was an operative with Poland’s secret police, the new regime considers that grounds for life imprisonment. Isn't that why the two of you faked her death?

Lena: You bastard.

Michael: I saw pictures of her grave. Very authentic, very beautiful. Not as pretty as her seaside villa, especially this time of year.

Lena: What do you want?

Michael: I want what we came here for -- Boyd Larraby's mojo in a jar. Now, if you get this done, we'll revolutionize the cosmetics industry and you will have more money than you could ever imagine.

Lena: Michael, it's not possible. There's no way that Boyd will give up his formula to Bianca.

Michael: Yeah, well, fortunately, it's not floating around in his head anymore. He's finally written it down, but they did file a patent, so I need you to get that piece of paper as quickly as possible. Do you understand?

Lena: I wouldn't even know where to start looking.

Michael: Why don't you start in her safe -- Erica's safe at Enchantment.

Lena: I don't --

Michael: Listen, I want you to open that safe and get that document. Then your mother will live a graceful life in her seaside villa. You can do whatever you want with that trinket in the shower. But if you refuse me, your mother will wither away in her cell, believing that you betrayed her. Okay? Do you understand?

Lena: Perfectly.

Michael: Good. Now get that safe open today.

Lena: Michael, I need more time.

Michael: Well, it didn't take you much time to bed Bianca. Safe should be a snap.

Bianca: Lena, the scrub was divine.

Lena: Oh. Glad you enjoyed it.

Lena: Come on, come on. Yes.

Bianca: Oh, Lena, I think that that must be -- oh, God, don't tell me. I know.

Erica: Lena is lying to Bianca.

Jack: Oh, no.

Erica: She's using her. So what do you suggest that I do? Nothing?

Jack: No, you've got to do something before she falls head over heels in love.

Erica: Exactly. I don't want to see Bianca taken advantage of at all anyway.

Jack: Neither do I. Erica, I just gave her this big speech on how love was worth risking it all. For Pete’s sake, what was I thinking?

Erica: No, no, listen to me. You just concentrate on getting your strength back, that's all. I'll take care of Michael Cambias.

Jack: What are you up to?

Erica: Nothing illegal, Counselor. Just going to do a little something that's going to let Michael Cambias know that he's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is.

Jack: Well, he doesn't stand a chance against you. And I pity anybody that tampers with your child's heart. Just be careful, please.

Erica: Don't worry about me.

Jack: I will worry about you. I'm going to worry until we find out what Chris is up to.

Erica: Chris? Well, I just spoke to him in the hall.

Jack: Chris came to see you? Here? What did he want?

Erica: He -- he wanted to say goodbye.

Chris: Where the hell have you been?

Evan: What's the difference? I'm here, ain't I? Let's do it.

Chris: Not so fast. Over here.

Evan: Oh, come on, Stamp. You're breaking my heart. I thought we were buddies. Finished? You satisfied?

Chris: Not until I see the back of your head walking away from me. Not before.

Evan: All right, well, give me my goodies and I'm out of here. You booked me first class, didn't you?

Chris: Yeah, I booked you first class.

Evan: All right, fork it over. What gives?

Chris: I want some answers first.

Evan: Tsk, tsk -- not part of the deal.

Chris: The deal? You keep changing the deal!

Evan: What is that supposed to mean?

Chris: We talked about handling Jackson. There was no mention --

Evan: What, did you get a change of conscience all of a sudden?

Chris: What, are you crazy? You popped the D.A. You think you can get away with that?

Evan: Yes, I do, as long as you give me what's mine. Now fork it over -- my passport, my tickets. Let's go.

Chris: I never told you to shoot anybody.

Evan: Listen, Stamp, don't play with me. I'm waiting. Oh -- oh, I see what's happening. You want me to say it -- can only mean one thing. You lying sack. I took him out for you, Agent Stamp, just like you told me. You think we got that on tape? I'm disappointed in you.

Chris: I never told you to kill anybody.

Evan: You wanted him dead, and you know it. Only you didn't have the biscuits to go through with it.

Chris: You had your own agenda.

Evan: That's right, and you changed your mind. Well, lucky for you, the guy lived. Okay? But if you don't square off with me right this very second, I'm going to get foggy, and then we're talking collateral damage. I'm going to ask you a question. I want you to think very hard before you answer it. How well do you think your former fiancée sleeps at night?

Chris: You are not going to hurt her.

Chris: The damages end here, you got that? Jackson made it, but you won't.

Maria: Oh, my gosh. Goodbye, no-tell motel, and hello to the good chocolates on the pillow and a future with the man that I love.

Aidan: And what if that future wasn't so far off?

Maria: What do you mean?

[Maddie squeals]

Edmund: Ha-ha! Whoa!

[Maddie and Jessica squeal]

Mia: Oh, God, I wish this day did not have to end.

Edmund: Feels more like a beginning to me.

Mia: Yeah, yeah, the beginning of Maddie's boxing career.

Edmund: No. More like the beginning of the best of the rest of my life.

Mia: Those are strong words, Mister.

Edmund: I mean them.

Mia: Must be all this living-in-the-moment stuff.

Edmund: Well, if this is living in the moment, then you give me the next moment right now.

Mia: But no expectations. Remember?

Edmund: Yeah. I'm done with those. I'm done with those. You know, before Maria came back, I was -- I was supposed to marry Brooke, you know, start a whole new life.

Mia: Yeah. Well, you loved her.

Edmund: And I still do, you know? It's just Brooke and I just -- we just tried so many times.

Mia: Yeah, I know, and the timing was off.

Edmund: Yeah, timing is important. It's fate, too. It's like Jake and you weren't meant to be like Brooke and I weren't meant to be, like Maureen and I weren't.

Mia: So do you think that you and I, we're --

Maddie: Bye, everyone!

Edmund: Well, hi, Sweetie. Hi, Sweetie. Where did all your friends go?

Maddie: They had to go home. Can we?

Edmund: Mmm, nice. No, you don’t. You don't have to go anywhere. What do you want to do?

Maddie: Play hide-and-go-seek.

Edmund: Oh, you do? Well, let me see if I can find a rock I can hide under.

Maddie: Oh, not you, Daddy. I want to play with Mia. I bet you're really good.

Lena: You know?

Bianca: Well, yeah. I mean, I've been through this before. I know the signs. You're uncomfortable and you're preoccupied. You're having cold feet, right?

Lena: Cold feet? Bianca, no, it's just that I have so much work on my mind. I'm behind on my projections for next quarter.

Bianca: Oh, of course. You -- you don't need to explain that to me. God, you must think that I am a pathetic, insecure wimp.

Lena: Oh, I think you're charming.

Bianca: Right. Real charming. It's just that whenever it's felt this good, whenever I've been in a relationship that felt like it was great, it was always doomed.

Lena: Bianca, you mustn't think of doom. You deserve happiness.

Bianca: It's just the thought of being this happy all the time -- it blows me away, and I want to hang on to it with both hands. That's so silly, right?

Lena: No, no, it's not silly. It's sweet. I'll do everything in my power to protect you.

Bianca: Protect me from what?

Lena: From me.

Bianca: Well, you just let me worry about that.

[Phone rings]

Lena: Oh.

Bianca: Oh, damn it.

Lena: It could be about your Uncle Jack.

Bianca: Oh, God. Of course, you're right.

[Ring]

Bianca: Hello?

Kendall: Bianca, it's Kendall.

Bianca: What do you want?

Kendall: I need to see you right now. Can you please come to the hospital?

Bianca: Is it about my Uncle Jack? Did something happen?

Kendall: No, no, he's fine. I just -- I really need to talk to you.

Bianca: You know, I don't know. I'm busy. I have classes. I have a meeting.

Kendall: No, do you think that I wouldn't be asking you this if it wasn't important?

Bianca: All right. Look, Kendall, this better not be --

Kendall: It's not, Bianca.

Lena: Was that Erica? Are you meeting her at the office later on?

Bianca: No, she's still camping out at the hospital. In fact, I think I'm going to head over there right now. Can I call you later?

Lena: I hope you will.

Bianca: Okay. Everything's okay. Right?

Lena: Yes, yes. It will be.

[Heart monitor beeps]

Erica: Jack, Chris is going after whoever it was who shot you.

Jack: That's a pretty clever way to take himself out of the suspect pool, now, isn't it?

Erica: No, no, Jack. You're wrong about Chris. You should have seen him.

Jack: I would've liked to have seen him. I've got a few questions I'd like to ask him.

Erica: Look, do you really think that Chris would've come here if he were guilty?

Jack: I don't know what Stamp's capable of anymore. Do you?

Chris: I told you -- I warned you, don't cross me!

Evan: You're not pinning this job on me.

Maddie: You have to count to 50! And slow, like one-Mississippi, two-Mississippi, three-Mississippi—

Evan: Ah! Come on! Come on! Come on! You're right. I did mess up with Montgomery. But this time I'm going to get it right.

Aidan: When I found you that day in the park --

Maria: Mm-hmm?

Aidan: I found a part of myself that I thought I'd lost forever, a part of me that loves without fear and always dreams of the future, a future I hope I'll always get to spend with you. Maureen, will you marry me?

Maria: Oh, my God.

Bianca: Okay. What's so urgent, Kendall?

Kendall: Bianca, there's no easy way to tell you this. Stop. Listen to me, okay? Lena is lying to you.

Bianca: Kendall, stop it. I'm not going to listen to this.

Kendall: Listen to me -- she is working with Michael Cambias.

Bianca: I don't believe you.

Kendall: Well, you have to, okay? She's sleeping with him. They're lovers.

[Music plays]

Edmund: Maddie!

Edmund: Maddie!

Edmund: Maddie!

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Maria: I -- I don't even know what to say.

Michael: I've got another job for you. And this time you'd better succeed.

Bianca: If you say one more word against Lena, you're going to be the one needing a hospital.

Jack: I want to marry you today.
