Greenlee: I have to go.
Simone: Do I really look like a prostitute to you?
Michael: Why don't you find Bianca Montgomery and get to work?
Michael: How do you think your new lover will react when she finds out how many times you've shared my bed in the last month?
Greenlee: Ugh, this is so like Kendall -- running and then leaving me to clean up her dirty work. I should've wiped the floor with her when I had a chance.
[elevator door opens]
Carlos: Ahem. Buenas tardes.
Greenlee: Where have you been?
Carlos: Around. You know, I connected that new printer if you want to test it out.
Greenlee: Forget the printer. Did you get my voice mail?
Carlos: No, I actually haven稚. It's been a crazy day. Did you need me to fix something or --
Greenlee: I didn't call you to talk about work.
Laurie: History assignment?
Joni: Yep. What did you pick for the research paper?
Laurie: The convention of 1787 and the first congress.
Jamie: Hey, Joni. Laurie, you weren't at the student council meeting.
Laurie: What about it? I've got to go pick up an order.
Jamie: Ok. Joni? You going to freeze me out again? Ok. What'd I do this time?
Simone: Oh, God. Oh, Kenny. Where have you been? My head is going to be on the chopping block any moment.
Kenny: Simone, I'm not even sure I should be here.
Simone: Why? Liza put you on retainer.
Kenny: Yeah, to represent Fusion.
Simone: Well, I am Fusion, at least a part of it.
Kenny: Well, not for long if Liza finds out what I知 doing.
Simone: Well, this is going to be quick, isn't it?
Kenny: Uh -- trust me, Simone. I'm going to do everything I can to fix this. I'll get your record wiped clean.
Simone: Oh. Oh, Kenny, I don't know what I would do without you.
Bailiff: All rise for the honorable Judge Mark Reichel.
Kenny: Good afternoon, Your Honor.
[knock on door]
Michael: I thought I told you I needed some time to --
Erica: Lena, what's going on? I have been calling you and calling you. I have left several urgent messages with you, but you haven't gotten back to me. And because you didn't get back to me, I had to take it upon myself to track you down. I certainly had no idea that you would be here with Bianca and that you two were --
Bianca: Mom, this is exactly what it looks like. And your timing couldn't be worse.
Erica: Actually, I'm glad that I found you two together because we need to regroup. Enchantment is under siege.
Lena: Erica, what seems to be the trouble?
Erica: Trouble? "Trouble" doesn't begin to describe it.
Bianca: Mom, whatever it is, just spit it out.
Erica: Someone in our company has constructed a paper trail leading to me that links Enchantment to this bogus lawsuit against Fusion.
Lena: Well, how did all this come to light?
Erica: Liza Colby came to my penthouse and she accused me of masterminding Fusion's demise.
Lena: Well, what proof does she have?
Erica: An electronic transfer of funds from our corporate account to a bank in the Cayman Islands after which it was transferred into the greedy hands of Gertrude Stark, who is suing Fusion for pain and suffering inflicted on her by lip color.
Lena: Making it look like you bribed her to file suit?
Bianca: Well, did you do it?
Erica: Bianca! How could you even ask me such a thing?
Bianca: Oh, well, Mom, it's not like you've always operated within the law -- I mean, tampering with evidence, destroying a crime scene, perjuring yourself on the witness stand.
Erica: I am not on trial here. Someone has set me up.
Lena: Erica, this is terrible. How serious are these charges?
Erica: According to Jackson, serious enough to land me in jail for 20 years.
Bianca: Wait, wait a minute. Uncle Jack can't honestly think that you did this.
Erica: Oh, can't he? You should've heard him, honey, the way he accused me of embezzlement and fraud and a laundry list of charges when the only thing that I知 really guilty of is -- is trusting the wrong person. Lena, you are my C.F.O. You sign off on every single cent that comes in and goes out of Enchantment. How could this happen on your watch?
Lena: Erica, I don't know, but I assure you that I will find out exactly who's responsible.
Erica: All right, I'm counting on you. I'm counting on you to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
Lena: I won't let you down.
Bianca: Well, ok. So if that's it, then you can go, Mom.
Erica: Just a moment, Bianca. Should I be surprised to find you two here together?
Bianca: No, not if you've been paying attention. We had some issues that we needed to resolve.
Erica: And did you resolve those issues to your satisfaction?
Bianca: No, not yet. We're getting there.
Erica: I see. Well, I certainly want you both to know that each of you is an integral part of Enchantment. Please remember that. I must be able to reach you on a moment's notice.
Lena: Erica, I知 very sorry. I just needed a personal day to sort some things out.
Erica: All right, well, I can understand that. I could certainly use one of those myself. But I'm sorry to say that all leave from Enchantment has to be canceled now until this nightmare with Fusion is completely straightened out. Ok, I'll see you back at the office.
Bianca: Mom, wait. We'll do everything that needs to be done, but not right now.
Erica: Oh, yes, Bianca. Now.
Michael: Kendall, I知 not even going to dignify that with a response. I don't know --
Kendall: Don't give me that. I heard you on the phone just now with your little squeeze toy.
Michael: Well, whatever you thought you heard you obviously took out of context, Kendall. I --
Kendall: Don't try to spin this. How stupid do I look to you?
Michael: Well, not that it's any of your business, but I was on the phone with a business associate. I --
Kendall: Oh, really -- business? So you do business in bed?
Michael: We're rivals for a competing account. We were jockeying for position to get into bed with a -- for a takeover. What --
Kendall: Oh, do you honestly expect me to believe that?
Michael: Well, believe what you want or don't want to believe, Kendall. I --
Kendall: What, so that's it? I'm dismissed? I'm dismissed? No. You told me you loved me, Michael. You told me you loved me. What was that? Was that a setup? Were you using me? What? Why?
Michael: Kendall, Kendall, I loved you more than I have loved anybody else. Why do you think I gave up my old life and moved to Pine Valley?
Kendall: Because you loved me.
Michael: Yeah, so much so that I put everything else on the back burner -- my friends, my business, my father's approval. I mean, my old man is just waiting in a hospital bed for me to make him proud until he draws his last breath, but you know what, I chose you and that's what makes this so tragic.
Kendall: Spare me. You didn't choose me. You used me. You practically pushed me on top of Boyd to get the formula for that stupid cream, and then when I told you what I did -- that I did it for love, for your love -- you turned it on me. You make it out to be I'm the one who's cheating when really you are the one who wronged me.
Michael: I -- I am the one whose heart you broke, Kendall, but you are so convinced that the whole world will forever let you down just like your mother has.
Kendall: What does Erica have to do with anything?
Greenlee: Um -- we have a lot to talk about, Carlos. At least I do.
Carlos: I'm listening.
Greenlee: I left you a message yesterday. Kendall and I had a fight and now we've got this bogus lawsuit crashing down on us, and I felt like I had nowhere to go or no one to turn to, and then I remembered you.
Carlos: So you needed me?
Greenlee: Well, yeah. Is that so bad?
Carlos: No, it -- that's not so bad.
Greenlee: You're the first person who's touched me, really touched me, since Leo died.
Carlos: Yeah, but that doesn't seem to make you happy.
Greenlee: No, it does. You came along just in time to save me from myself and all the ideas I had about what makes Mr. Right right for me.
Carlos: So, before, I was someone you wouldn't even look at twice. And now you see me differently and perhaps like what you see and you can imagine me in your life?
Kenny: Your Honor, with all due respect, my client's arrest was an unfortunate misunderstanding.
Judge: Hmm. Well, I've never heard that before.
Kenny: You have my petition to have the charges dropped from Ms. Torres' record.
Judge: Well, I see that subsequent and prior to Ms. Torres' arrest, she was apprehended for two other violations, one having to do with defacing public property and the other trespass. You were caught with a minor breaking into a school?
Simone: Uh --
Kenny: Your Honor, those incidents have been resolved. Ms. Torres is not a prostitute.
Kenny: She is an upstanding member of this community.
Judge: Ms. Torres, what do you do for a living?
Simone: Your honor, I was a freelance journalist, but now I am an executive at an up-and-coming cosmetic company.
Judge: You seem very nervous.
Simone: Oh, well, yes. Your Honor, I've never been in trouble before -- I mean, outside of the two counts that you just mentioned, which actually were harmless -- actually, when you think back, kind of humorous.
Judge: Do you find this situation you're in now humorous -- soliciting a police officer for sex?
Simone: Uh, no. No, your honor, I would never do that. It's just that it seems as though I'm working out some kind of evil karma, but I give you my word that this will never happen again, nothing like this -- not that it happened the first time. The women that I work with would vouch for me 110% and would be happy to swear on anything you want that I am an upstanding and law-abiding citizen.
Judge: Are you expecting these women to appear here in court on your behalf?
Rosemary: Your Honor, honey, in the name of the law, I want you to let our girlfriend go.
Cherry: Yes, that's what you need to do.
Lola: I totally agree.
Cherry: Girl, we going to work this for you.
Jamie: I don't understand. Will you please fill me in?
Joni: We heard that you left here with Holly.
Jamie: Oh. Great. Does Laurie know?
Joni: What, so now that you're busted, you're going to admit that you left with a prostitute?
Reggie: My man James. Look, I heard a lot about you. Tell me the truth -- did you get it on with a prostitute?
Jamie: No, I -- I didn稚. Look, I don't know what Joni told you.
Laurie: Joni didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know.
Judge: Are you the business associates Ms. Torres referred to?
Rosemary: We're more like sorority sisters, Judge.
Cherry: Us and Simone De Boudoir, we may not walk the same walk --
Lola: Oh, but the girl's got style.
Rosemary: So you do right by our baby girl and cut her some slack.
Rosemary: No objection to us watching, is there, your honey?
Judge: Not if you behave.
Simone: Oh. Kenny, I need a backdoor exit and a getaway car.
Kenny: Just stay calm.
Simone: Calm? Calm with these three as my voucher on a solicitation charge? This is help that I do not need.
Kenny: Simone, all the help you need is right here. Trust me, ok?
Simone: I do. I do. Thank you.
Cherry: Mmm, mmm, mmm. Our girl's coming up strong and fine.
Lola: I know that's right.
Carlos: You know, Greenlee, sometimes wanting isn't enough when people are too far apart. Maybe we should stop trying.
Greenlee: No. Listen, Carlos, you may be the last person in the world I expected to find myself drawn to, but that doesn't mean that you're the wrong person. Does that make sense?
Carlos: Are you going to go to Simone's hearing?
Greenlee: Um -- that's the last thing I need.
Carlos: Yeah, but Simone is your friend.
Greenlee: She doesn't need friends. She needs a fast-talking lawyer and she's got Kenny.
Carlos: You know what, Greenlee? I think you should go. You know, Simone seemed pretty upset. She was afraid she'd be shamed if her father found out.
Greenlee: You know what, Carlos? Simone got herself into this mess and I am sick of cleaning up everyone's messes. It's not my job. What?
Carlos: How is it someone capable of such kindness can be so cold? How will you ever find happiness when you're always at war with yourself?
Greenlee: Carlos, wait.
Kendall: Erica has nothing to do with us, Michael.
Michael: Well, you're the one that has always made your mother an issue, Kendall.
Kendall: Oh, really? I wonder why. Maybe because you entertained her on your private jet or your hotel room. Was that you playing Erica the same way you were playing me?
Michael: Oh, you see? This is what becomes of your possessiveness, Kendall. You destroy everything that you claim to love.
Kendall: Don't even try to shrink me. This is about you. This is about your cheating and your lying and your ridiculous need to control everybody. You ruined us, not me.
Michael: Ok, you know what? Kendall, if you can't take responsibility for your own reckless behavior, go ahead and blame me if that makes you feel any better. Go ahead.
Kendall: You don't even care how I feel. You never have. What I want to know is, why? Why did you sucker me into this? What did you think you were going to get out of it, aside from getting lots of money? Did you get a kick out of watching me degrade myself for you?
Michael: Not at all, Kendall. You know, it just made me realize, well, how tragically wrong I was about you.
Kendall: Oh. You're ashamed of me. Well, you know what? I put myself to shame for buying that little sob story about your poor, dear, dying daddy who you had to prove yourself to before it was too late. God, Michael, I wanted to help you. I wanted to help you escape those feelings of not measuring up. And what do you do? You turn around and you -- you act like I知 something you stepped in. All those times I sat and I worried and I worried that I wasn't good enough for you. Well, you know what? You are the one who's not good enough. You are not good enough for me!
Michael: You know what, Kendall? How could I have known that day that I met you in Aspen that one day you would hurt me so deeply and more completely than I ever thought possible? You broke my heart, Kendall.
Kendall: That's impossible. You don't have a heart. You know what? Here! Buy yourself another girlfriend.
Michael: You know what? You go ahead and keep it. It doesn't mean anything to me now, and neither do you.
Kendall: You go to hell.
Michael: Lena, pick up the phone.
Lena: Um -- look, Erica, let me explain something to you.
Erica: Is this a habit, not answering your phone?
Lena: You're here. Anything else can wait. I realize it was wrong of me to cut myself off from work like that. I made a bad situation worse for you, and I apologize.
Erica: Well, thank you, but I don't really want your apologies. I --
Erica: I want action, I want results. I want this whole mess with Fusion completely cleared up before they slap handcuffs on me.
[phone stops ringing]
Lena: Look -- ok, there's nothing I can do right now. The banks are closed. But you have my word; I will get to the bottom of this.
Erica: When bad judgment blurs the line between the personal and the professional --
Lena: Erica, please don't doubt my priorities. You are one of them. And Bianca is the other and she's here because I want her here.
Bianca: You know, Lena, this really isn't her business.
Lena: No, Bianca, I made it your mother's business when I made her come looking for me. Erica, I know you love Bianca and you'd do anything to protect her, and so would I. I want you to know I would move heaven and earth to keep her from harm. I swear it.
Erica: Well, whatever you're dealing with, I need you. And, it would seem, so does my daughter. So you don't need to ask me again. I'm leaving.
Bianca: You know, I don't know whether to applaud or cry. I'm really sorry about that. She -- she means well. She just gets carried away sometimes. Lena? What is it? Are we over before we even get started?
Bianca: Lena, are you sorry that you stayed?
Lena: I'd be halfway across the Atlantic by now, staring out of the window and thinking of you. No, no, I'm -- I知 not sorry.
Bianca: Neither am I.
Lena: Forgive me for being so impossible.
Bianca: No. The way my life normally goes, this is paradise.
Lena: Bianca, you're an extraordinary woman.
Bianca: You know, I -- I don't know which part of that I like best, the extraordinary part or that you think of me as a woman.
Lena: I've never thought of you as anything else.
Bianca: I know. I think that's why I知 so drawn to you. Lena, I want to see where this takes us. Do you want the same thing?
Lena: Yes, I do. We'll get there when the time's right.
Bianca: Ok, well, just to be sure -- you're in Pine Valley to stay, right? I'm not going to need to go to the airport and tackle you again?
Lena: I am here to stay. You can't know what this means, but I've never stopped for anyone before.
Bianca: I'm so flattered that you chose me. And I'm not going to let you regret it.
Lena: I spend so much of my time doubting myself, but when I知 with you, I feel like I know who I am or -- or at least who I'd like to be.
Bianca: No, trust this, Lena. Trust me. All right. We'll talk more later.
Bianca: I know that we're going to find what we're looking for.
Kendall: Backstabbing, two-faced, double-crossing user!
Greenlee: Uh, there's only two people that could be. Erica or Michael.
Kendall: He was lying to me the entire time we were together. He was cheating on me the whole time we were together!
Greenlee: I'm sorry, Kendall. Who knew Cambias would turn out to be such a rat?
Kendall: You did.
Greenlee: Being right isn't all it's cracked up to be. So who was the other woman?
Kendall: He didn't -- he wouldn't admit it. He -- he wouldn't tell me who she was. He wouldn't even admit that he did it.
Greenlee: So how did you find out?
Kendall: I overheard him on the phone. Obviously, I couldn't hear her end, but it sounded like this chick finally got his number and was blowing him off.
Greenlee: And he denied everything?
Kendall: Oh, no, he did worse than that. He tried to turn it around and make it out to be my fault. He said that I was the one who trashed everything we had, that if anybody had been betrayed, it was him.
Greenlee: What a jerk.
Kendall: It was totally unreal. It was like I was standing there looking at somebody I didn't even know, like a total stranger. The things he said -- he said -- he said I was the one who should have begged for his forgiveness.
Greenlee: Don't tell me you did it, Kendall.
Kendall: No, of course not. I told him to go to hell. Oh, and that made me feel so much better!
Greenlee: No, no. Don't, don't, don't -- don't, Kendall. Men like -- men like Cambias are not worth one single tear.
Kendall: I really -- I really thought he was the one. I thought he was the one for me. I don't know how I could be so naive and so stupid.
Greenlee: You can't trust the Michaels of this world.
Judge: Ms. Torres, how did you come to be on such friendly terms with your cheering section over there?
Simone: Your Honor, we shared the same cell.
Cherry: Look here, Judge. Cute stuff Kenny here sprung us all out of jail and kept Simone in his custody.
Rosemary: And then we all went to the party that Simone was inviting Officer Lyman to --
Rosemary: Before he started reading her rights.
Cherry: Mm-hmm. The party was like us, a real high-toned affair.
Lola: With real party favors.
Rosemary: Not the ones we usually hand out.
Cherry: You got that right. Ooh, mama, get me a little slice of that!
Rosemary: I'll take that piece a la mode.
Judge: Ms. Torres, is the gentleman your boyfriend?
Rosemary: If he's not, I got first dibs.
Cherry: I want seconds.
Rosemary: And I hope he's no gentleman.
Judge: Mr. Adler, Ms. Torres, I believe I have seen and heard enough to render my decision.
Jamie: I admit I left here with Holly, ok?
Joni: The friendly neighborhood call girl.
Jamie: We left here and we went home. We talked.
Reggie: Yeah, right. You're kidding me, right?
Jamie: No, I'm not.
Reggie: Look, how long did you spend alone with each other?
Jamie: She -- she stayed all night.
Joni: How much did she charge for an all-night gabfest?
Jamie: Nothing. She was pretty nice about it. I didn't have to pay her anything.
Reggie: Yeah, I bet she was pretty nice about it.
Joni: Well, at least you and miss do-it-by-the-hour stick to the same lame story.
Jamie: You talked to Holly?
Joni: Oh, yeah. Yeah, she came in here and got in our faces about what a nice guy you are and how innocent it all was.
Jamie: That's the truth.
Reggie: Jamie, look, you and a prostitute spent the whole night together, and you didn't do anything? Right. Sure, right.
Laurie: Hey, guys, can I talk to Jamie alone, please?
Reggie: Sure, whatever you want.
Joni: Don't give in to him, ok?
Laurie: Yeah. Jamie, you didn't have to go public with this.
Jamie: Yeah, well, Joni didn't let it go, so -- and neither did you.
Laurie: This really has nothing to do with me.
Jamie: Look, you have to understand something. As sexy and as great as Holly really is, I want to do it with somebody I care about. Someone like --
Laurie: Don't go there. Ok?
Jamie: Why not?
Laurie: Because, Jamie, I don't like saying things that are going to hurt you. Bye.
Reggie: Ok, look, Jamie, you can tell me the truth, all right? How good she -- how good was she? How good was she?
Greenlee: You know --
Kendall: Thank you.
Greenlee: Except for Leo, men are basically the lowest life form.
Kendall: No, I don't want to believe that.
Greenlee: Neither do I. Maybe we just need to look for a new crop of guys.
Kendall: Yeah, but what about what happened with you and Carlos? I thought that -- I thought that things were heading in that direction.
Greenlee: Yeah, I don't know. Every time I open my mouth, it's like these big, giant toads come out. It's like we speak two different languages.
Kendall: Well, hello, you do.
Greenlee: You know what I mean. You know what I mean. We're so different, we have trouble connecting.
Kendall: So what? You're just going to give up because of different -- crossed wires?
Greenlee: I'm not sure what I want right now. I mean, I thought this company was going to jump-start my life, but so far it's just been a shaky proposition.
Kendall: So where does that leave you and Carlos?
Greenlee: Who knows? He could be the guy that got away or the next big thing.
Kendall: Wait a minute. Shove over, Carlos. Because I got the next big thing right here. Uh-huh. Mm-hmm.
Greenlee: Is this really 15,000 bucks?
Greenlee: Where'd you get it?
Michael: Well, well, well -- Lena.
Lena: What do you want?
Michael: Well, what I expect from you -- complete submission.
Lena: Those days are over.
Michael: Oh, you think so? You think that little rebellion you staged today changes anything?
Lena: Like they say here, this is a whole new ballgame.
Michael: Oh. American slang? Well, you've picked up a lot of bad habits. Just make sure the next one you pick up is Bianca Montgomery.
Lena: Look, I told you, I'm not going to use Bianca to get Boyd痴 formula.
Michael: I don't think you have a choice, Lena.
Lena: I no longer take orders from you, Michael.
Michael: You know, I think you've known me long enough, Lena, to know it's a mistake to try and cross me. I'll take you down hard and fast.
Erica: All right then, Val, you're through for the day. You can go on home. Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow.
Erica: Bianca. I -- I thought you and Lena had plans.
Bailiff: All rise.
Simone: Ok, so it's over! I -- I am free to go?
Rosemary: Praise the lord!
Rosemary: You are free to walk the streets again.
Cherry: And strut your stuff.
Simone: Oh, now, wait a minute. That's what got me in trouble in the first place. Oh, Carlos, thank you. You -- you came all the way down here just for me?
Carlos: It's not good to be alone at times like this.
Kenny: Well, there was never any real danger of that.
Simone: Oh, hey, you want to go grab a drink and celebrate my freedom?
Rosemary: Where are we going to go?
Simone: Oh, ladies, you are the best, but I think I can handle it from here.
Cherry: You better work it, girl.
Lola: Ooh, go on!
Simone: Oh, wait. Kenny, you're the best. I promise, I will make it up to you. Thank you. Ok, ok, let's go!
Rosemary: On closer inspection, Kenny, I have to say you are the man.
Cherry: Come over here and get give me some of that sugar pie.
Kenny: If you'll excuse me, ladies, I've got a place I got to be.
Lola: Oh, come on!
Rosemary: I'll give you a ride in my pink caddy!
Kendall: I hocked that heinous swamp girl necklace that Michael Cambias gave me. He wouldn't take it back, so I hocked it. Yeah, I'm surprised that that louse gave me real diamonds.
Greenlee: What are you going to do with all this cash?
Kendall: I'm going to invest it.
Greenlee: In what?
Kendall: Well, I got a hot tip that some sassy women are starting a new cosmetics company.
Greenlee: Are you giving this money to Fusion?
Kendall: To us, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Are you sure?
Kendall: Yes. Use it -- use it to finance our next ad campaign, or wherever it's needed most.
Greenlee: Thank you.
Kendall: Well, something good had to come out of this whole mess with Michael.
Greenlee: Some good did.
Kendall: All right, so put that puppy in the bank, and let's move on to our next big thing.
Erica: Bianca -- honey, you know that all I want is --
Bianca: Is for me to be happy.
Erica: You don't believe me?
Bianca: I do. I -- I just want you to acknowledge the fact that I知 a grown woman, and I can handle my own relationships without having my mommy have a meltdown and barge in every two minutes.
Erica: Ah. I see.
Bianca: I'm not saying that things aren't going to be complicated with Lena, but I really want to feel free to get to know her better without worrying that you're going to be hovering or judging me.
Erica: If that's the way you want it --
Bianca: That's the way it's got to be.
Erica: All right, then. Be happy, sweetheart. And be careful. I guess there's nothing else to say.
Bianca: How about "I love you"?
Michael: Ah, so you think you'll find some loophole you can use to try and hang me? Well, you should know me better by now.
Lena: And you should know that there is no way in hell I would leave myself vulnerable to you and your father.
Michael: You leave my father out of this.
Lena: Oh, ma pauvre, did I touch a wrong nerve? How displeased will papa be when he finds out his son has failed to live up to the mighty Cambias name.
Michael: Crossing me is a big mistake, Lena. Why take the chance on some pretty girl? Bianca is no reason to risk everything you've worked hard for.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Greenlee: Who do you think she is?
Kendall: Who do I think who is?
Greenlee: The woman Michael痴 sleeping with?
Boyd: Pretty late to be all alone in the boss' office, don't you think?
Anna: Clearly, I知 not the woman you were waiting for.Erica: Well, aren't you even going to say hello?
