Isabella: Maria will come back to the people who truly matter to her.

Greenlee: Carlos, it's Greenlee. Please call me. I need to talk to you. I'm sorry.

Michael: Erica is so worried about Enchantment; she has no idea that my real target is Boyd Larraby's formula.

Chris: I see you now for who you really are, and I'm through.

Greenlee: Carlos, I've been trying to reach you.

Carlos: I know.

Greenlee: Did you get the message I left on your voicemail?

Carlos: Yeah. This is for you. It's the shirt you lent me. Since it was your husband's, I knew you'd want it back. It's clean. Is that all right? Good night.

Greenlee: Carlos, Carlos, I -- I said some things that were stupid and hurtful. Why I said them isn't important. The main thing is, is that Iím really ashamed, and I'm sorry. Will you forgive me?

Carlos: No. I'm not sure I can, Greenlee.

Aidan: Hey.

Maria: Aidan.

Aidan: I didn't want to ring the doorbell, in case Maddie was sleeping.

Edmund: Come on in.

Maria: Actually, she just fell asleep and I was just getting ready to call you.

Aidan: How is she? Is she all right?

Maria: Well, yeah. She -- her fever just broke, and she's pretty tuckered out.

Aidan: Ok, it's not -- nothing serious, is it?

Maria: Well, she spiked a pretty high fever, but she's -- I think she's good now. We got it all under control.

Edmund: Actually, you got it under control. She went into full doctor mode.

Maria: Oh, no, I think it was the ibuprofen, really, that worked.

Edmund: Actually, it was your T.L.C. You really came through for her.

Maria: Aidan, Iím not going to come home with you. I'm going to spend the night here tonight.

[music plays]

Boyd: I got her, I got her. Are you ok?

Myrtle: Hey, Simone, honey, why don't you take a load off?

Simone: Oh, my God.

Boyd: Sit here before you hurt yourself.

Simone: I'm fine. I'm good.

Boyd: You sure?

Simone: Oh, Myrtle. You're out late.

Myrtle: Well, I'm an old night owl. And this fellow here was desperate.

Simone: Oh, obviously.

Myrtle: Oh, you watch it. He couldn't get his car to start.

Boyd: I was going to cab it here, but Myrtle insisted on giving me a ride.

Simone: Oh, that's sweet.

Myrtle: Well, I like to kick my heels up once in a while. You know, you use it or you lose it.

Simone: That's right.

Boyd: Anyway, I insisted Myrtle come in and have a drink to say thank you.

Myrtle: Thank you. And I'm going to finish this drink and then see if I can find some action, or else I'll head off home.

Kendall: I can't believe this is happening.

Boyd: What? Whoa, Kendall, what's wrong?

Bianca: Well, answer me. When are you ever going to grow up?

Erica: Bianca, where -- where is this coming from?

Bianca: What, you don't know?

Erica: No. I -- I told Chris about your uncle Jack and me, and I should think that you would be --

Bianca: What? Jumping for joy?

Erica: No, of course not. But, I mean, I would expect you maybe to be a little sympathetic. I mean, do you have any idea what telling the truth has cost me?

Bianca: Do you have any idea what it's cost me?

Jack: Chris.

Chris: Jackson.

Jack: I figured you'd show up sooner or later.

Chris: Yeah, well, I picked sooner.

Jack: Well, you may as well come in. I imagine you want an explanation.

Chris: Yeah, could you explain to me how you slept with my fiancťe and at the same time you pretended to be my friend? Go ahead.

Jack: What happened between Erica and me, Chris, it was --

Chris: What? What, a mistake? Just one of those things?

Jack: My daughter was gravely ill. I needed someone. I needed a friend.

Chris: You're still throwing that "friend" crap in my face?

Jack: You know what? You came here for answers. These are the answers.

Chris: No, I came here to look you square in the eye to see how could I have been so off the mark about you. How many times did you play me? How many times did you steer me in the wrong direction?

Jack: You asked me if she was sleeping with Michael Cambias, and I told you, honestly, no.

Chris: In my gut, I knew she was cheating. And you would turn it back on me. You said to my face, "well, if you can't trust Erica, then you got to pull the plug. You go to call the whole thing off."

Jack: You know what, Chris? Don't do this to yourself.

Chris: No, no, you mean don't do it to you. Don't put you on the hot seat! Mr. Honest Jack may have to take a good, long, hard look at himself.

Jack: I never said I was proud of what we did. I am sorry for what it has done to you.

Chris: What you did was wrong. And if you were so sorry, then why'd you leave me flapping in the wind? Why didn't you just tell me the truth?

Jack: Because it wasn't my place to tell you! I wanted to tell you!

Chris: But you didn't! You forgot to disclose the fact that you were sleeping with the love of my life behind my back!

Erica: Bianca, what happened with Chris and me and uncle Jack -- I mean, how exactly does that involve you?

Bianca: You're my mother. I mean, what you do has consequences, mom -- not just for me, for everybody who loves you.

Erica: All right. Why are you so angry?

Bianca: Well, be-- because it's -- you don't trust yourself. You don't trust your feelings. It's like you throw your life out there, up for grabs, waiting for Mr. Right to catch it, you know, terrified that he actually will catch it and then you'll be trapped or that he'll leave you.

Erica: No, that's not true.

Bianca: Yes, actually, it is. And I want to know when you are going to stand still long enough for somebody to cherish you and love you and hold you the way that you deserve to be. I mean, I want to know when you're going to build a life with somebody that's going to last. I want to know. You know, I mean, why do you always ruin everything the minute it starts to get good?

Erica: Honey, look, I wasn't thinking about myself. Uncle Jack needed me.

Bianca: But, Mom, you were engaged to another man.

Erica: I know. Oh, and I wanted to make that work with him so much. I did, and I thought that I finally did have a chance to do what you've said -- to let someone love me and to build a life with him that wouldn't disappear when I closed my eyes. And -- and Chris made me know that he would keep me safe and warm and love me.

Bianca: Yes, and you shattered all of his promises.

Erica: I did. I know, and I didn't mean to. Jack, damn it! Jack got in the way! He forced me! I -- look, Chris sensed that something was going on, but -- but Jack, he just forced the issue. He forced me to break Chris' heart, and I didn't want to do that. Honey, I didnít. I love Chris.

Bianca: And he loved you with all of his heart and his soul.

Erica: I know. I know he did.

Bianca: And you couldn't handle it. And you slept with uncle Jack to kill what you had with Chris. You destroyed him, and uncle Jack is next.

Maria: Well, will you stick around with me for a little bit?

Aidan: You just try and get rid of me.

Maria: I don't want to try to get rid of you. Thank you so much for being --

[doorbell rings]

Maria: Oh, you know, it doesn't fail. Never.

Maria: Oh, hey, Mia.

Mia: Maureen -- I -- is Edmund here?

Maria: Yeah, come on in.

Mia: Oh, thank you. I was actually here earlier. Mrs. Santos sort of chased me away. And then I was just thinking that if I let every weird complication in Edmundís life stop us, Iíd probably never see him again.

Maria: Yeah, life tends to be a little complicated around here. But come on in.

Mia: Oh, thank you. Hi.

Maria: This is Aidan.

Mia: Oh, yeah, Aidan.

Aidan: Hello.

Mia: Nice to meet you.

Maria: He just brought over my overnight bag so I could spend the night with Maddie.

Edmund: Who is dreaming sweet dreams. Aidan, there's plenty of room here. You're welcome to stay. Hi.

Mia: Hi.

Edmund: I'm glad you came back.

Mia: Thank you.

Edmund: Yeah.

Mia: I was hoping that we could still spend a little time together.

Edmund: Well, that'd be great. But do you mind if we do it here, because just in case my little girl needs me.

Mia: No, no problem. I'll just -- Iíll hang out with you, then.

Edmund: Ok.

Mia: Like you said, you got a lot of room here.

Maria: Uh, you know, someone's got to go, and it ain't going to be me.

Greenlee: Carlos, Carlos, before you leave, you should know something. When I asked you to come over to fix the plumbing, there was nothing wrong with my faucet. I -- I wanted to see you because I wanted to get to know you.

Carlos: I know.

Greenlee: You do?

Carlos: Yeah.

Greenlee: Ok, ok. This morning, when my partners wanted to find out what happened last night, I blew them off. I said nothing could ever happen between us.

Carlos: Because I'm a handyman, right? Because you're scared.

Greenlee: Yeah.

Carlos: I know.

Greenlee: Your emails were so nice and personal.

Carlos: Well, get personal. Tell me why you're so scared.

Greenlee: I'm afraid of what might happen.

Carlos: If we get too close?

Greenlee: Yeah.

Carlos: You're afraid something's going to come rip us apart like -- like when your husband died?

Greenlee: It's hard. I'm alone.

Carlos: I'm sorry.

Greenlee: No, I mean, I've been working through that, you know, dealing with being alone. But I didn't get it until I saw my mother.

Carlos: What'd she make you see?

Greenlee: Me -- starting to care for someone and then losing him. It scares the life out of me.

Carlos: More than not living?

Greenlee: This is probably going to sound like some weak excuse to keep you around, but if you can just understand why I treated you the way I did and what Iím going through and how sorry I am --

Carlos: Ok, ok. It's all right. If it gives you peace, Greenlee, I accept your apology. But again, good night.

Greenlee: What? What? Saying Iím sorry isn't good enough?

Mia: You want me to leave?

Maria: Well, yeah. Yeah, and you, too.

Edmund: I'm being kicked out of my own house?

Maria: You are, because I think it's ridiculous that you guys don't go out on your date.

Edmund: Oh, but Maddie is --

Maria: Maddie's fine. Maddie is totally fine. And if anything comes up, we'll handle it.

Edmund: I suppose we could give it a shot. Are you sure?

Maria: Go, or Iím going to have your useless security throw you out.

Edmund: I have my cell phone in case anything happens.

Maria: It won't. Nothing will happen. Keep him out late.

Mia: I will try very hard.

Maria: Ok.

Edmund: Ok.

Maria: Have a great time.

Aidan: Good night, then.

Maria: Go, go, go.

Aidan: Good night.

Maria: Oh, my. That was weird, wasn't it?

Aidan: You giving your ex permission to go on a date?

Maria: Yeah.

Aidan: Mm-hmm.

Maria: Well, you know, I've got to -- Iíve really got to give Edmund credit because, I mean, he seems to have really moved on, like he's -- he's really accepting that Mariaís not coming back.

Aidan: Yeah.

Maria: And I have to say, it really -- it just makes things a little bit easier for everyone.

Aidan: Yeah, everyone except your mother.

Maria: Ah.

Carlos: You're not the only one that's afraid.

Greenlee: I know. I know you are, too. That's why you hid behind those emails. What I still don't get is why you sent them from your boss' computer.

Carlos: I don't own a computer.

Greenlee: Ever hear of the public library? Cyber cafťs?

Carlos: All right, Sydney and I are friends, co-workers. I just thought it'd be a lot easier.

Greenlee: To remain anonymous?

Carlos: The timing wasn't right. It's still too soon for you.

Greenlee: Excuse me?

Carlos: You're not ready.

Greenlee: I just shared a lot with you, tried to make you understand.

Carlos: Look, you told your friends you have no future with me. You don't know me. And I can't be some guy you keep on calling to fix a leaky faucet that works.

Greenlee: What more do you want from me? My God, we're like strangers, and you have me pitching fits and slamming doors. I made you mad enough to walk out on me. You know, maybe this is all there is.

Carlos: You know, if that's what you believe, we're already lost to each other.

Greenlee: Carlos, wait.

Carlos: For what?

Greenlee: Me. I mean, you're so far ahead. I'm just trying to catch up.

Carlos: Just meet me halfway. Be open to the idea that we can be more to each other. I mean, is that possible?

Greenlee: Yeah.

Carlos: What?

Greenlee: Yes, it is.

Carlos: Good. There's something I'd like to share with you.

Simone: Kendall, this is so you. You can't find Michael, so here you come to hijack Boyd.

Kendall: Ok, give it a rest, Simone. It's not like you're here on a hot date with Myrtle here as your chaperone.

Myrtle: Hey, wait a minute, wait a minute. I mean, how do you know Simone is not my chaperone? Listen, I'm going to meet some folk who believe that it's not over till it's over.

Boyd: You go, girl.

Simone: Oh, I love her.

Boyd: Yeah.

Kendall: Boyd, can I -- can I talk to you, please?

Simone: Please, Kendall. Can't you find another shoulder to saturate?

Boyd: Listen, Simone, tonight's still our night, ok? I promise. Just give me a few minutes with Kendall.

[Simone groans]

Boyd: Please?

Simone: Fine. Go ahead. Let me know when you're tired of running the instant longneck here crooks her finger.

Boyd: Ok, what happened? What did Cambias do now?

Kendall: He's gone. Boyd, he's gone. He checked out of his suite at the Valley Inn. No forwarding address, no goodbyes, no nothing. I have no idea where Michael is.

Michael: I'm right here.

Kendall: Michael.

Michael: And this is my new address.

Kendall: It's the condo across from mine.

Michael: Mm-hmm. I'm hoping we can be more than neighbors.

Erica: Honey, uncle Jack was not a victim in this. Believe me, we both -- we both just -- we lost our heads. We just -- we gave into a passion, and it led to a fling.

Bianca: You and uncle Jack don't fling, Mom. You know that it's always been much more than that.

Erica: The only thing I know is that that one act of friendship has cost me Chris. Everything that I dreamed of, everything that I wanted is gone! It's just -- it's gone!

Bianca: I know, and I'm sorry that your dreams with Chris were shattered, Mom. I'm sorry. But you can't camouflage this and pretend like it was just a fling or your good deed for the day. I mean, honestly, the bottom line here is you did what you wanted to do. It's ok. I mean, just like last time when you fell into bed with uncle Jack, you did what you wanted to do. Last time you lost me. This time, Chris. So how many people are you going to love and lose before you realize that you're never going to be able to stay away from uncle Jack?

Erica: Oh, honey, that's not true.

Bianca: Yes, it is. So why not just admit it, Mom? Admit what everybody else seems to know but you. Uncle Jack is the only man that's ever going to make you happy.

Jack: It was never my intention to come between you two.

Chris: But you did. When you kissed her, when you put your face in her hair, when you started to take the clothes off her body, that was you and nobody else.

Jack: You're going to believe whatever you want to believe anyway.

Chris: So, did you make her take the ring off before you did the dirty, or did she just toss it across the room and the two of you had a good yuk at my expense?

Jack: Chris, that's not the way it was.

Chris: You know, every time the two of you got together, it was the joke -- it was on me. Is that what I was to you? A walking, talking joke without a punch line?

Jack: This conversation is over.

Chris: No, this conversation is over when I say it. This was your M.O. from the beginning. You wanted us to break up, and you wanted Erica all for yourself.

Maria: Aidan, are you sure you're ok with this, with my old life overlapping over my new one?

Aidan: Yeah, I'm fine with it.

Maria: Really?

Aidan: Look; I understand the incredible bond that you have with Maddie.

Maria: Even if that takes me away from you sometimes?

Aidan: Absolutely. When it comes to your kids, you do what you have to do.

Maria: Ok. But I mean, really, it doesn't bother you that that might mean that Iím spending more time with Edmund?

Aidan: Those children are naturally going to keep you two connected. I'm fine with that.

Maria: Ok, well, as long as you know that that is truly our only connection, the only connection that Edmund and I have.

Aidan: Well, Edmund seems to have other things on his mind these days.

Maria: Well, that works out kind of nicely because I have other things on my mind these days.

Aidan: Oh, yeah?

Maria: I do. Nice things.

Edmund: Whoa. Do I know this person?

Mia: Maybe. You want to go a couple rounds with me?

Edmund: Is this to get back at me taking you horseback riding?

Mia: Look, you can still chicken out if you want to. It's fine.

Edmund: No, I'm just thinking about you -- knocking me out cold.

Mia: Edmund, if you're not into it because of Maddie --

Edmund: Hey, hey, hey --

Mia: You can go back home. It's fine.

Edmund: Hey, hey, do I look like the kind of a guy who would use a sick kid?

Mia: No. You look like the kind of guy who likes to be around when people need him, and I like that. But if you want to take a rain check, it's fine.

Edmund: No, I don't want to take a rain check. I've got -- I've got Maureen taking care of Maddie, and Iíve got my cell phone right here.

Mia: All right.

Edmund: All right? So, let me see what you got there, sister. Show me what you got. Come on, give it to me.

Mia: No, no, no.

Edmund: Oh, come on.

Mia: No.

Edmund: You know you want to. Come on.

Mia: Hey, I wouldn't -- I wouldn't mind going a couple of rounds with Mrs. Santos.

Edmund: Mrs. Santos -- oh, no, no, you can't pick on an overprotective mother.

Mia: That's true.

Edmund: Come on. Who else is on your hit list, huh? How about -- how about Jake?

Mia: Jake?

Edmund: Oh, yeah. Ooh, I felt that one. Come on. You want to get back at Jake? Pretend I'm Jake.

Mia: Oh -- Jake -- Edmund. Oh, my God. Edmund? Can you hear me? Edmund?

Mia: You were faking.

Edmund: Yeah. The fall, yeah. But not this.

[phone rings]

Edmund: Round one.

Jack: Erica's a part of me, and she always will be. But I've never tried to tie her down. I've always let her go her own way because that spirit, that -- that freedom, that's part of the beauty of Erica, now, isn't it, Chris? And she would come into my life for a while, heat up the nights, and then she'd be gone. She'd never stay long. But you know what? That was fine with me. I never expected more. But this time was different. I couldn't just let her go. You're right, I want her. I want her where she belongs -- in my heart, in my life, in my bed.

Reggie: Hey, back off!

[Jack coughs]

Chris: You want her? You take her! You deserve each other. You can both rot in hell.

Reggie: What's his problem? What'd you do to him to get him all wound up?

Jack: Forget about him. What happened to you? You been in a fight?

Reggie: Me? What about you, huh? Getting mixed up with some -- with some fed. What, he catch you cutting his lady or something?

Jack: What?

Reggie: You and Ms. Kane. What, she belongs to you now? Does she?

Jack: I don't know, Reggie. I really don't.

Erica: I begged him. I begged him to give me some time alone with Chris. But, no, Jack -- he was right there. He just -- he was persistent and he was hounding me --

Bianca: Yes, because he loves you.

Erica: Well, he didn't act like he loved me. Not one bit. After I broke up with Chris, I was devastated, and I was standing there and Jack didn't show one ounce of compassion. No, he wanted to lay it all at my feet. He didn't want to take any responsibility at all for his part in anything.

Bianca: You wanted him to take responsibility for everything. Look, just -- just talk to uncle Jack. Just forget about blame and excuses and all the bruises of the past, and just admit what you've known deep down in your heart this whole time -- that you love him.

Erica: How can I possibly love a man who dismisses my feelings? I was so devastated. And you know what? Jack was standing right there, ready to just rub salt into my wounds. So if I loved him, I don't now.

Bianca: Yes, you do. And, Mom, the day will come, like it always does, when you go to uncle Jack for help, only next time he won't come running.

Erica: Oh, honey, don't be silly. Uncle Jack will always be there. He will always be a true and loyal friend.

Bianca: No, no, not always. Trust me, Mom. You can't play him forever. Even uncle Jack has his limits.

Erica: How do you know?

Bianca: I know him. If you don't commit to him this time, uncle Jack is going to give up on you.

[Salsa music plays]

Greenlee: Is this the music you listen to when you're writing to me?

Carlos: The music does help me think of you, yes.

Greenlee: I can almost hear the words behind the music.

Carlos: Forget the words. Listen to the music. Let the rhythm of the music carry you.

Greenlee: Carlos, I --

Carlos: No, no, no, no, no. Go with the music. Don't think. There's no mother here to trouble your thoughts, no computers, no Fusion, no pain, no regret, no past, no fear. Just us and this moment.

Greenlee: I can't just turn my brain off like that. My life feels so out of control.

Carlos: Sometimes it's good to lose control.

Greenlee: Oh -- I'm not ready.

Carlos: You are what you are, Greenlee, and that is enough.

Greenlee: You know what? You know so much about me, and all I know about you is that you write poetry.

Carlos: You want to know more?

Greenlee: Yeah.

Carlos: Close your eyes, and I'll tell you something else no one else knows about me.

Simone: Let me see your teeth.

Boyd: What?

Simone: Oh, I just want to see how many teeth you have left since Kendall kicked them out again.

Boyd: Very funny, but for your information, I still have a full set of uppers and lowers.

Simone: Really?

Boyd: Do me a favor. Just lay off Kendall.

Simone: Hey, Iím on your side. You know, you cease to exist for her every time Cambias shows up. Doesn't that, you know, shrivel your pride?

Boyd: Look, whatever I feel for Kendall -- it's not important.

Simone: Whatever you say.

Boyd: Look, can we do something and just forget about her?

Simone: Oh, yes! Yeah, let's talk about those sounds that came out of your room last night. Was that a woman or some weird science project I want to participate in?

Kendall: Michael, when I heard that you left the hotel, I thought that you left me.

Michael: Oh, without saying goodbye? Why would I do that when Iím so wrapped up in you?

Kendall: Well, because my mother said that you were using me.

Michael: She what?

Kendall: Erica thinks that you're angling to add Enchantment to your corporate roster. She thinks that somehow you and I have joined forces to team up against her.

Michael: Did you know she came to my room in a big fit because her boyfriend thinks that she and I are having a tryst?

Kendall: Well, what did she think you could do about it?

Michael: Well, she stamped her size fives and ordered me out of town. Of course, I did her one better and decided to take up residence.

Kendall: Oh, my God, Ericaís going to be livid. She is going to be so livid. She has some gall. You know, she thinks that she can just run in here and run you out of my life? We're going to show her.

Michael: We will?

Kendall: Yes, we will. I am so sick and tired of her messing with me. You know what? If only Fusion could just find a way to unplug Enchantment and just get rid of her.

Michael: Well, ask yourself what Enchantment has that Fusion doesnít.

Kendall: They have -- they have Boyd Larraby.

Reggie: Jack, the guy was going to turn your lights out.

Jack: Yeah, great timing, Reggie. Appreciate it.

Reggie: He needs to cool down, too.

Jack: Well, I don't think he's going to be cooling down anytime soon. Try the bottom drawer. There you go.

Reggie: Chips. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Jack: Yeah.

Reggie: So, what, more trouble ahead?

Jack: Yeah, I'm afraid so, Reggie.

Reggie: Look; you didn't hire me as a bodyguard, all right? So next time the guy want to go crazy on you, watch your back. I might not be there.

Jack: I'll tell you something, Reggie. It's not my back Iím worried about.

Erica: Honey, why are you going?

Bianca: Because it's late and you're not listening to me.

Erica: Well, when you say such hurtful things, I --

Bianca: Mom, I -- I'm not trying to hurt you here. It's just that I just see you repeating the same pattern again and again and again, and -- I mean, I got to be honest with you. My biggest fear is ending up just like you. All alone.

Liza: Adam, no! -- Oh Ė

Maria: She is out like a light. She didn't even move a muscle when I went down there to check on her.

Aidan: Oh, good. That's a relief.

Maria: Yeah. Well, it kind of is because I was sort of hoping that she'd get up and come downstairs and hang out with you so you could get to be friends.

Aidan: Yeah, come sit down. Yeah, I know. We used to be friends, didn't we?

Maria: Yeah. Yeah, that was before I decided to go with you instead of her daddy.

Aidan: Don't worry. Before you know it, we'll all be friends again -- me, you, Sam, and Maddie. I used to be a kid myself.

Maria: Yes, I know that about you.

Edmund: Where's Maddie?

Maria: She's upstairs where you left her.

Edmund: You all right?

Maria: Yeah, why? What is this?

Edmund: Well, Maddie called me on my cell phone. She said to come right home.

Maria: Did she say why?

Edmund: No, but she -- hey.

Maddie: Because Aidan was kissing mommy, and I knew daddy wouldn't like that.

Mia: You know, I think I'm going to call it a night. Ahem.

Edmund: Sorry about this evening.

Mia: No, no, not at all. It wasn't all bad.

Edmund: No, it wasnít. I'll call you tomorrow?

Mia: Ok.

Aidan: I think I'm going to get some air.

Edmund: Ahem. Listen to me, young lady --

Maddie: I know, I know. Mommy is Maureen. But it felt so good just to have my mommy and my daddy here tonight -- like when you read me a story -- and I didn't want it to end.

Edmund: Sweetheart, sometimes -- sometimes things just have to come to an end.

Maria: Yeah, but know what? Also, sometimes that means that just around the corner, something -- something better is about to begin.

Greenlee: Carlos, you said you were going to tell me something about yourself -- something nobody else knows.

Carlos: For now, this is all you have to know.

[music plays]

[singing in Spanish]

Boyd: What I do in my bedroom is highly confidential.

Simone: Really?

Boyd: I mean, I could show you, but then I'd have to kill you.

Simone: Oh, I'm intrigued. Is that kinky or weird science?

Boyd: Well, since my science experiments belong to Enchantment, the rest is pretty much up for grabs.

Simone: Ah. You know what? I'm out of here.

Boyd: Simone, what's wrong?

Simone: Oh, come on. As soon as you can stop panting after someone who doesn't want you, then you can call me. Until then, I'm going to play it smart. See you.

Michael: So you're telling me that Boyd is more than just my rival for your affections?

Kendall: Yeah, he's an uber chemist. Developed this hot, new formula that's going to totally change the cosmetics industry.

Michael: Really?

Kendall: Yeah. He told me all about it when we worked together. I mean, he didn't tell me the formula itself. That's all in his head.

Michael: Wait a second now. If it's not written down on paper, how could it possibly belong to Enchantment?

Kendall: I guess it doesn't yet.

Michael: Well, given Boydís obvious affection for you, I think it would be easy to get him to come on over to Fusion.

Kendall: Yeah, well, I tried that once. And then once he tried to defect, but I talked him out of it.

Michael: Why would you do that?

Kendall: Well, because Boyd is basically a good guy. And he has -- he's got this contract, an exclusive contract with Enchantment.

Michael: And you don't play dirty, even though Erica wouldn't miss a chance. Well, I have to tell you, I admire that. But ethics are poor protection when an enemy is as formidable as Erica.

Kendall: I can handle the dragon lady.

Michael: Well, you know what? You shouldn't have to. I mean, I resent the way that Erica manipulates you, makes you suffer the way she did today, leading you to believe that Iíd only be using you to get to her.

Kendall: Yeah, well, she's so vain, she probably believes it.

Michael: Well, maybe. But think how much sweeter life would be if somebody came along and knocked her off her game, threw her off her throne. Then let her try to come between us.

[Doorbell rings]

Erica: Chris. Jack, I'm not speaking to you.

Jack: You don't have to speak to me, Erica.

Erica: What are you doing?

Jack: I'm spending the night.

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Henry: I just want the first time to be perfect.

Maggie: Do you mean your first time ever?

Kendall: I want to buy you a drink.

Boyd: Why?

Kendall: Because I want to say Iím sorry.

Erica: Just admit why you really want to spend the night.

Jack: What?

Erica: You want me.
