>> Previously on "All My Children" --

Edmund: Always stay the same Brooke that I fell in love with, the one that's honest.

Zeke: Once again, you have made a choice that you regret.

Mia: You think I'm sleeping with Adam?

Jake: Well, I'm not saying that you went after him.

Liza: I need to prove that Adam is intentionally trying to make me think that I'm crazy.

Adam: What are you two watching?

Hayley: Brooke, will you pick up Maddieís dress on the way to your fitting? Brooke?

Brooke: Uh, I'm going to get a glass of water. Do you want anything?

Hayley: No, thanks, I'm fine. You're going to rock the house in your dress. Give me five.

Maddie: Yeah!

Hayley: Yes, and you are going to be the prettiest girl there, except for maybe the bride.

Maddie: My mommy was a bride.

Hayley: Yes, she was. She was a beautiful bride.

Maddie: Maybe Mommy will come to this wedding, too.

Brooke: Sorry. Sorry.

Edmund: Hey, Mateo.

Mateo: Hey, what's going on?

Edmund: Listen, I got some news. Brooke and I set a date for the wedding.

Mateo: Oh, yeah? When?

Edmund: August 23.

Mateo: That's cutting it awfully close to Mariaís memorial service. That's not going to give you much time for your honeymoon.

Edmund: Yeah, listen, about the service -- I was thinking maybe this year that we -- we shouldn't have it. Maybe we should just stop it for good.

Simone: Excuse me.

Nurse: Ms. Torres. I thought you were supposed to be under observation.

Simone: Yes, but I was wondering what records you have on me on being admitted to the ear. Could I have them?

Nurse: That information's already in the computer. I could make you a copy.

Simone: No. No, thanks. There's got to be a way.

Simone: I -- I can't let my dad find out.

Frank: You know, I used to like getting into trouble.

Mia: So, it's Williamís birthday again and I'm asking for the usual -- you would just let him be surrounded by people who love him and let him know it, and let him know that I'm always there. And please remind Liza that she's got her whole family behind her. I want her to start trusting me again because I would never do anything to hurt her, no matter what anyone thinks.

Jake: "Anyone"? Like me?

Mia: You listening in when I'm praying?

Jake: No, listen, I just want to talk to you.

Mia: Forget it.

Jake: No, I'm not going to forget it. I'm not going to forget it or us. That's the reason why I'm here. I came to tell you that Iím sorry. I need you to forgive me, Mia, please.

Adam: So what's on the tape?

Liza: You wouldn't be interested.

[Liza turns TV off]

Adam: Are you two hiding something from me?

Liza: No. I was showing -- I was showing Tad the audition tapes from wreck for the news anchor.

Tad: That's right, that's right, something about revamping the 10:00 segment?

Liza: Mm-hmm.

Adam: A few minutes ago, you were telling me that Liza could barely hold a rational conversation, and now you're screening audition tapes together.

Liza: No, I am as rational as -- no, no, you can't do that!

Simone: I was trying to get my bill.

Frank: Yeah. Usually, the way that works is the hospital sends it to your insurance company.

Simone: Yeah, I know that.

Frank: And usually patients don't go hacking around in the hospital computer.

Simone: I wasn't hacking, okay? I was trying to delete my file so no one would know Iím here.

Frank: Because?

Simone: Because my father is a doctor here. I told you, all right? He would not understand any of this.

Frank: Even if your father is on staff here, he doesn't have access to records of patients he doesn't treat. You're safe.

Simone: Yeah, thanks, but I'd prefer it if there weren't any records.

Frank: I think you got a big problem.

Simone: That's because you don't know who my father is. No. Are you going to help me log on to this system?

Frank: What, and get myself into trouble?

Simone: You said that you like trouble.

Frank: That depends on what I get out of it.

Mia: Look; this is a chapel, so I really can't say what I want to say.

Jake: You got to feel like I turned on you.

Mia: Why, because you said I was stabbing my sister in the back when she was trying to recover from major surgery?

Jake: No, I never should've said that.

Mia: Then why did you say it?

Jake: Because, Mia, every time that Adam Chandler's involved, I seem to lose all objectivity.

Mia: Well, guess what -- it's not my problem.

Jake: Hey, just -- hey, Mia, please, just hear me out. You don't know. You have no idea what it was like with Colby. When Adam decided he wanted a child, this man would go to any length to do whatever he had to get it, and Iím the guy who was caught in the middle. And all along I believed that Colby was my daughter and I'm the last guy in Pine Valley to find out that she wasn't. And that devastated me.

Mia: I guess Adam can be ruthless sometimes.

Jake: Adam goes for major arteries. And you haven't seen it, but just ask Liza about it.

Mia: Look, I understand how it might make you feel. If it were I, every time I saw Adam, I would think about losing Colby.

Jake: Well, let me tell you, giving up Colby was just --

Mia: Like losing a part of yourself.

Jake: It's got to be the same for you -- Iím sure it is -- every time you see trey.

Mia: That's different.

Jake: You had a baby with the guy. And I know that it's got to remind you of having to give up your child.

Mia: It does, but not for the reason you think.

Jake: He's the baby's father.

Mia: No, that's not -- God. You know what, maybe you were right not to trust me.

Jake: Mia, what are you talking about?

Mia: I've been lying to you, okay? I've been lying again and again.

Adam: What is so secret about that tape that I can't see it?

Tad: Adam, could I please speak to you outside?

Adam: No, I would like to know exactly --

Tad: I will tell you outside.

Adam: All right, now tell me what the hell is going on here.

Tad: You might want to keep your voice down.

Adam: No, when I want your advice, Iíll ask for it. What the hell is --?

Tad: Look, it's perfectly obvious that Limaís fragile right now, you know, and grilling her is obviously not the way to go.

Adam: That isn't an audition tape, is it?

Tad: I don't know.

Adam: She didn't tell you?

Tad: No, no, I was on my way out of the house. She said she wanted to show me something. I don't know what's on the tape. It could be bloopers and outtakes from the weather channel, for all I know.

Adam: Tad, what is she doing?

Tad: I'm not sure. But coming on like Genghis Khan isn't going to help, is it? Let me handle Liza.

Adam: No, no! I'll be damned if Iíll let you handle it.

Edmund: Mateo, Iím not talking about canceling the Crystal Ball. That's a celebration of Mariaís life. But having a service every year on the anniversary of her death --

Mateo: What about it?

Edmund: Well, look, for the first few years, I think it helped. We needed it to make it real that she was gone.

Mateo: But now we don't?

Edmund: It's like commemorating her death, and every year we have to go back and relive it.

Mateo: It happened. We can't erase that.

Edmund: We don't have to focus on it, all right? We can focus on the future. I know it's what Maria would've wanted. She doesn't want us to mourn her river.

Mateo: One question.

Edmund: Yeah, shoot.

Mateo: This new insight you got going on -- is that coming from you or from Brooke?

Edmund: Listen; Brooke has nothing to do with this, okay? This is I. I'm just trying to say --

Mateo: Yeah, that you want to stop having my sister's memorial. I heard you. But that's not your call to make.

Edmund: Look, I'm not trying to just --

Mateo: Maria still has three sisters, a brother, a mother, and two children.

Edmund: I know.

Mateo: We're not ready to forget, okay, not now, not ever!

Hayley: You okay?

Brooke: Yeah, I just -- I mean, can you believe I have the jitters at my age?

Hayley: Hey, you're entitled.

Brooke: Oh, thank you, sweetie. So, you know -- you know what the jigs are? Yeah?

Maddie: Mommy had them when she got married.

Brooke: How do you know that?

Maddie: Daddy said.

Hayley: Well, people get the jitters because they're happy sometimes. Your mommy was very happy when she had the jitters.

Maddie: She's happy now. She's an angel.

Hayley: That's right. She's watching over you and Sam.

Maddie: Will she be at the wedding?

Hayley: I -- I am sure she will.

Maddie: Then Iíll have two mommies.

Hayley: Yeah, won't that be great? You're so lucky. You know, and you have Brooke here to love and protect you and Sam and Jamie and Laura.

Maria: Brooke, please, takes Maddie; get her out of here now. Get her out of here now!

Brooke: You're a good girl. Okay. I'm going to take you out of this seat, this chair. We'll just get you out, okay?

Maria: Is she all right?

Brooke: Yes.

Maria: Brooke, is she okay?

Brooke: Yeah, she's fine.

Maria: Maddie?

Brooke: She's right here.

Maria: Maddie? Maddie?

Brooke: Hi, sweet pea.

Maria: Maddie?

Brooke: She's good.

Maria: Maddie?

Brooke: Here, baby. There.

Maria: Maddie? Maddie, sweet pea?

Brooke: She's -- she's fine. Everything's fine.

Maria: Maddie? Hi. Hi, Sweetie. Mommy loves you very much. Mommy loves you very much, Maddie.

Brooke: I'll make sure that she's okay and Iíll come back for you, I promise.

Maria: Just make sure that she's safe, Brooke, please. Keep her safe.

Hayley: And what the really cool thing are now you have two brothers to push around. Right, Brooke?

Brooke: Oh. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I just --

Hayley: Honey, why don't you run upstairs and see if Sam and Jamie need any help.

Maddie: Doing what?

Brooke: Whatever.

Hayley: Oh, whatever it is they're doing up there.

Maddie: Okay!

Hayley: Something really has you freaked out, and it's not the jitters.

Brooke: No, no, really, I just --

Hayley: Actually, I think it's someone, and I know who it is.

Adam: If anyone is going to handle my wife, it'll be me, thank you.

Tad: All right, all right, I'm just trying to warn you.

Adam: No, no, I'm warning you, stay out of this!

Adam: All right, Liza, what were we watching?

Liza: I don't know.

Adam: This is ridiculous. What is so secretive about this tape that I can't see it? What are you trying to protect me from?

Liza: You know what? You'll find out eventually. You always do. But when you watch this, you won't be able to deny the truth.

Jake: All right, Mia, are you saying that something did go on with you and Adam?

Mia: God, no. It has nothing to do with him.

Jake: Well, then what is it? I don't get it.

Mia: It's Trey, all right? He's not Williamís father.

Jake: Then why did you tell me --?

Mia: Say that he was? Because I didn't want to tell you the real story.

Jake: Oh, so you got me off your back, then?

Mia: Yes. But now I see that you're trying to trust me and I don't want to go on lying to you.

Jake: Yeah, that's something.

Mia: I'm sorry.

Jake: There's no reason to be sorry, all right? If you're not ready to open up, Mia, I understand.

Mia: No, no, you have every right to know.

Jake: No, I don't have any rights. See, that's where you're wrong. This is between you and your baby's father. He's the one with all the rights.

Mia: It's almost funny you say that.

Jake: What's funny about it?

Mia: My son's father never even knew he had a baby.

Simone: Are you going to help me or not? Come on, I need to clear my records out of this system, like, now.

Frank: Look at you.

Simone: What?

Frank: Is Daddy coming off duty or on?

Simone: Will you just give me your password?

Frank: You'd better watch out.

Nurse: Ms. Torres, I thought you didn't want a copy of your records.

Frank: Busted.

Simone: I donít. Well, I changed my mind.

Frank: Nurse, she's had a really hard night. If you don't mind, Iíll take care of this. Okay? Thanks.

Simone: Thank you.

Frank: What I said still stands. You have got bigger problems than whether or not your father knows you're in the hospital.

Simone: If you only knew.

Zeke: Simone, what were you thinking?

Edmund: Let's get something straight, Mateo -- I'm not trying to forget your sister, all right?

Mateo: Right. Right, right.

Edmund: Look; I don't need a memorial service or a foundation or anything to remember Maria.

Mateo: Fine.

Edmund: Every time I see my kids smile, every time Maddie smile, its Mariaís smile, okay? Every time Sam does something Iím proud of, Maria is proud. A day doesn't go by that I don't hate the fact that she's not there to share it with me.

Mateo: I don't need to be hearing this stuff.

Edmund: Yeah, you do because you think I'm betraying your sister.

Mateo: What do you care what I think?

Edmund: You're her brother, and I want the family to be okay with this.

Mateo: Well, maybe you're asking for too much.

Edmund: Mateo, if there was anything I could do to bring back Maria, I would. Anything. Hell, there was a time when I -- I thought I was so nuts that I thought I could.

Mateo: Bring her back?

Edmund: Yeah. I thought if I just waited long enough, prayed hard enough, wanted it enough, that she would -- she would come back.

Mateo: But now you've gotten over that.

Edmund: You think what Iím doing is easy? Easy is giving up and saying, "Oh, Iím just going to live the rest of my life for my kids' sake" or "My wife's memory" or whatever gets you through the night. That's easy.

Mateo: Okay.

Edmund: And your sister would be the first one to say this because she loved us the kids -- and --me and she wants us to be happy.

Mateo: And now you are.

Edmund: And Brooke is a big part of that. But she doesn't want me to forget Maria, okay? She's a grownup, Mateo. She wouldn't want a man that would forget the mother of his children. You were okay with this when I was engaged to Alex.

Mateo: That was difficult, but now you want to stop having the memorial.

Edmund: Brooke and I -- we need a clean slate, okay? We have a history that we're trying to put in order. And she's doing this for me and I want to do it for her. And I thought you'd understand.

Mateo: Edmund -- wait.

Hayley: You don't even have to say it. I mean -- look, I know what's got you going.

Brooke: You do?

Hayley: Yeah, it's -- it's Maddie constantly talking about Maria.

Brooke: She needs to talk about Maria. You know, I wouldn't try and stop her.

Hayley: Well, I'm not saying you would. It's just that, you know, you don't need a constant reminder of Edmund and Mariaís life together when you're trying to pick out your bridal bouquet.

Brooke: Edmund wants her to talk about Maria.

Hayley: I know that. Nobody's asking her to hold anything in.

Brooke: It doesn't mean anything, you know? It's just how she feels.

Hayley: I'm not saying she's having an agenda here. I'm just saying that I think it's making you a little crazy.

Brooke: It's not, really.

Hayley: Well, somebody is.

Brooke: It's just that Edmund and I set a date and there's a lot to do and I'm just feeling a little bit overwhelmed, you know?

Hayley: Well, please talk to me before whatever it is just drives you right over the edge. Please talk to me.

Brooke: It's Maria. She's back.

Hayley: What do you mean, "Mariaís back"?

Brooke: I didn't want to believe it at first, either, but it's true.

Hayley: Brooke --

Brooke: How can I go ahead with the wedding now?

Hayley: What, you're going to call off the wedding?

Brooke: How can I marry Edmund now that I know?

Hayley: Wait, just hold on. Calm down for a minute.

Brooke: And, Hayley, everybody else is going to know, too.

Hayley: Is this what you've been thinking about? No wonder you're on the edge.

Brooke: I love him.

Hayley: I know that.

Brooke: And I've lost him!

Hayley: Stop -- stop it right now. Come on and sit down with me. Sit down. Listen to me; the only way you have lost Edmund is if that's what you choose.

Brooke: You don't understand.

Hayley: Oh, but I do, okay? The only way Maria is back is by you bringing her back.

Brooke: Hayley, that is not it.

Hayley: Believe me, I know what Iím talking about. I put myself through all kinds of hell and misery when I married Mateo the second time.

Brooke: Hayley, this is real.

Hayley: I know what -- no kidding. We're talking fear and insecurity and, with me, a killer case of low self-esteem. And, Brooke, you have to understand that we all have inside of us that little voice that says, "You know what, I just deserve to be this happy."

Brooke: Are you saying that I made this up?

Hayley: You know, when I was getting ready to marry Mateo, I felt so bad about myself that I was looking for any excuse not to walk down the aisle.

Brooke: But I'm not. I want to walk down the aisle.

Hayley: Well, there is something going on, something in your mind that is saying, "You know what -- life seems so good right now, but something's going to come along and screw it up. So you know what, I'll -- I'll screw it up for myself." Something.

Brooke: I -- I couldn't make up something like this.

Hayley: Listen, you've done it. You managed with Maria, the way I brought in Arlene.

Brooke: What?

Hayley: Before my wedding to Mateo, I was convinced -- convinced -- that Arlene was going to come back and destroy my wedding.

Brooke: She did. I mean, she came back and she got drunk and --

Hayley: That's not my point. My point is I was going to call off my wedding. And I was so grateful that I didn't because I couldn't let Arlene screw up my life. Only I could screw up my future with Mateo, not Arlene.

Brooke: So you're saying that I -- Iíve just imagined this?

Hayley: I'm saying that the way Arlene was in my mind, Maria is all in your mind.

Brooke: Oh, God. I wish you were right.

Hayley: Something triggered this. Maybe you're just afraid that you won't be as right for Edmund as Maria was.

Brooke: Maybe you're right just -- just a le.

Hayley: The time has come for you to kiss that idea goodbye because Edmund ha been this happy in years.

Brooke: Really?

Hayley: Yes. Listen to me -- it's time for Edmund to let Maria go. It is time for you to let Maria go.

Brooke: Me?

Hayley: Yes. You and Edmund love each other. What you have together is right.

Brooke: I think that --

Hayley: Don't think. Know it. You are going to have a marriage, a wedding. And there is no ghost that could stop that from happening.

Mateo: I think when Enzo got sick and we realized Maria was the perfect match, it brought everything back.

Edmund: I'll bet you miss her.

Mateo: I guess I never really stopped hoping.

Edmund: That she'd come back?

Mateo: Even though I knew she wouldn't.

Edmund: I know the feeling.

Mateo: But it was harder for you. I lost a sister, yes, but you lost your best friend, the mother of your children.

Edmund: Ahem -- Mateo, we all lost way too much, okay?

Mateo: But I don't think I could've come back from something like that, even though Hayley would want me to and Iíd want her to. But I think what Iím trying to say here is that if you think this memorial is hard for you to handle, we won't have it.

Edmund: You sure about this?

Mateo: Maria would want you to go out there and have a life, and so do I.

Simone: Daddy, how did you find out?

Zeke: Gossip travels in a hospital.

Simone: I'm so sorry. I let you down and I embarrassed you.

Zeke: Simone, this is not the time nor the place.

Simone: But I can explain this -- not the way that it looks. What? What is this?

Zeke: He's an excellent therapist. I recommend him highly.

Simone: Oh, Dad, don't do this.

Zeke: I suggest you call him immediately.

Simone: Please, I don't need a shrink.

Zeke: Obviously, I failed with you.

Simone: No --

Zeke: Perhaps he can do a better job. I hope so, Simone, I really do.

Simone: No, Daddy, you didn't fail. I'm not a failure.

Zeke: I gather you're trying to help my daughter?

Frank: Yes, she's my patient.

Zeke: Since you're starting out, here's a word of advice -- never get emotionally involved. It's the way to destroy a promising career.

Frank: I see what you mean about your dad. Are you okay?

Simone: Didn't you hear the man? "Don't get emotionally involved." And no one knows how to do that well than my father.

Jake: All right, Mia, so did your baby's father leave before you could tell him? What happened?

Mia: I knew where he was. I could've told him.

Jake: Why didn't you?

Mia: Because I didn't want my baby growing up without both parents. I did that. It wasn't any fun.

Jake: Wait, so you just --

Mia: Jake, listen --

Jake: Took away the man's rights?

Mia: No.

Jake: What did you do?

Mia: This man lived a crazy life. He was never going to settle down and be a dad.

Jake: Oh, so -- okay, well, obviously, you didn't think the man could change, so you decided to take away all his rights as a father.

Mia: I took control. I had to.

Jake: And you gave away his baby.

Mia: I did what was right for everyone. Just got 20 degrees cooler in here, didn't it?

Jake: You just sounded like Adam Chandler.

Adam: What the -- what are you doing with this? That's the big mystery? Our wedding video?

Liza: I knew you wouldn't understand why I wanted to watch it.

Adam: And Tad would?

Liza: Tad was there. He knows as a woman that was the happiest day of my life. Remember?

Tad: Oh -- yeah, who could forget?

Liza: Yeah, I mean, as a woman, I mean, I was so happy, and I was asking him if I would ever be that happy again, if I was capable of being that happy again.

Tad: Oh.

Liza: And I realized that Iím not even close to being that person. I've lost it.

Adam: Liza, you are the same. You are.

Liza: No, Adam, I'm not. The person on that tape looked at you with love and trust. And I've become some maniac who slashes up your dress shirts and hears things that you don't even say and accuses you of sleeping with my sister!

Adam: Liza, you've been through a terrible trauma.

Liza: Stop it. Stop lying. You know that that's not the reason. Admit it.

Brooke: You were right about one thing. I think part of me is looking for the next catastrophe.

Hayley: Well, we have had our fair share around here.

Brooke: With Enzo getting sick and Dixie, sometimes it just -- it feels like everything can be ripped away.

Hayley: Sometimes, like with Enzo, everything works out, just like it will for you and Edmund.

Brooke: Maybe I've just gotten out of the habit of being happy.

Hayley: It'll come back to you. Just know that you deserve it. You deserve it.

Brooke: Thank you, really, for keeping me grounded.

Hayley: It's okay.

Brooke: Okay.

Hayley: I got to go. It's late.

Brooke: I know.

Hayley: You're going to have a beautiful wedding. You are going to be an absolutely gorgeous bride. And no ghosts allowed.

Brooke: Thank you.

Brooke: Maybe Hayley's right. I'm not sure that woman was Maria. I mean, it was 400 degrees that day. I hadn't slept, I hadn't eaten. I fainted, for God's sake.

Brooke: Yes, hi. This is Brooke English. Actually, I had contacted you before to start a search on a Maureen Gorman? I've decided I want to call off the search. What? What do you mean you found her?

Mia: There wasn't anything else I could do.

Jake: Mia, there's always something else you can do. You can level with the guy.

Mia: I told you what this guy was like!

Jake: You own, this baby may have changed him.

Mia: Oh, yeah, right.

Jake: I'm telling you, I'm telling, when Colby came into my life, the day she came into my life, I changed, and from that moment on I wanted to take care of her, I wanted to be there for her and protect her and build a future, make her happy. I wanted to do all of that.

Mia: Yeah, but that's because you're you, Jake. This guy --

Jake: Never had a chance. He never had a chance to see how he would've done and that baby didn't have a chance to see how his father would've been.

Mia: My son is fine.

Jake: You did the same thing Adam did. You did. He went into that lab and he changed those results and he took away my chance, my chance to be a father.

Mia: Well, this is not the same thing.

Jake: Yeah, it is. It's exactly the same thing, Mia. He took way rights and my chance to be a father.

Mia: That was horrible for you, I understand that, but what I did was totally different.

Jake: Maybe. Maybe not.

Liza: Adam, you know the reason why Iíve been acting the way that I have. Admit it.

Adam: Could we have a little privacy, please?

Tad: What about you? Need me to stay?

Liza: I'm fine, thanks.

Tad: I'll show myself out.

Liza: Don't forget your bag.

Tad: My what?

Liza: Bag? Your shopping bag.

Tad: Oh! Yeah, right. Sure. Sure. Um -- you take care.

Liza: Always.

Tad: Adam.

Adam: You're right, Liza. There is a reason you've been doing what you've been doing, and it's my fault.

Liza: What have you done?

Adam: I -- I put way too much pressure on you. I wanted you back and I -- I pushed you too hard before you were ready for that.

Liza: So that's what you mean when you say that it's your fault?

Adam: Yes. Colby and I missed you so much, and I'm afraid I slowed down your progress. Forgive me?

Liza: Oh, you don't even have to ask.

Adam: I want you to take just as much time as you need to get back to the person that you really are.

Liza: Thank you.

Adam: After all, even though Colbyís mother can't be there for her right now, her father always will be.

Mia: Good morning. Is Dr. Martin around?

Nurse: Dr. Martin just finished his shift and went home.

Mia: Oh. Okay. I must've just missed him.

Jake's voice: You decided for him, Mia, just like Adam decided for me when he made that switch in the lab.

Mia: Listen; would you do me a favor? Would you tell Jake -- would you tell Dr. Martin that Mia stopped by?

Nurse: Sure thing.

Mia: Thanks.

Frank: Hey, watch where you're -- Rocky. Long time no see.

Guard: Good morning, Mr. Chandler. I wanted you to know the security system is back on.

Adam: Oh, I didn't know it was off.

Guard: It was down for a while last night. I'm not sure how it happened. You and Mrs. Chandler are the only ones who could turn it off.

Adam: Yes. Maybe it was a power outage.

Guard: You know, in that case, the generator should've kicked in. I could check it.

Adam: Please, and get back to me.

Guard: Sure thing. Have a good day, Mr. Chandler.

Adam: Oh, Liza. Oh, that snake. That's good. That's good. That's why you were pumping me so hard for information last night. You're on to me. Well, I guess it was just a matter of time.

Liza: Hi. I'm so sorry I couldn't call you. Adam was stuck to me like glue.

Tad: Yeah, and I'm guessing you didn't get that big confession you were after, either, did you?

Liza: There is no way that he is going to take away my daughter.

Tad: I believe you.

Liza: And we have the tapes. I mean, that'll prove that at least he's trying to drive me out of my mind.

Tad: I wish.

Liza: What are you saying? That I -- that I did those things?

Tad: No, no. God, no. I'm just saying that I couldn't swear to it because there's nothing on the tapes.

Liza: What?

Tad: The surveillance tapes are blank. They've been erased.

Edmund: Brooke, open up.

Edmund: Anybody home? Brooke?

Edmund: Brooke?

Nurse: Let me double-check that.

Brooke: Excuse me. I understand that you have a Maureen Gorman working here?

Nurse: She's over there. What was that again? I'm sorry.

Woman: May I help you?

Brooke: No. I -- I was mistaken. I'm sorry. I'm -- Iím sorry.

Woman: Excuse me.

Brooke: Oh, my God. Hayley was right. This was all just -- it was all in my head. It was -- it's all in my head.

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "All My Children."

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Frank: What are you thinking?

Mia: Maybe we should just pretend that we never knew each other.

Liza: I have some exciting news. I'm taking Colby away.
