  • Smallville's New Night a Success!
    Smallville did very well with its target audience with the premiere of "Exile," according to a press release from the WB: "Smallville officially moved into its new night for The WB on Wednesday and against stiff opposition, was back at or near the top of its competition in key demos. The WB's super drama placed #1 in men 12-34 (3.8/13), teens (3.5/13), female teens (3.4/13) and male teens (3.6/12), #2 in adults 18-34 (3.8/12), persons 12-34 (3.7/12) and men 18-34 (3.9/13) and #3 in women 18-34 (3.7/11), women 12-34 (3.6/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/8 )."

  • Smallville in Hollywood
    Smallville was mentioned by Kristin Veitch yesterday on E! News Live. John Schneider (Jonathan Kent) talked about the first two episodes of the season, "Exile" and "Phoenix" and some views of the set during the filming of an episode were shown.
    Last night, Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) and Tom Welling (Clark Kent) appeared on Access Hollywood. They were interviewed and talked about the Season premiere.

  • Smallville/Angel Premiere Party Photos!
    As previously mentioned, a Smallville/Angel premiere party took place in L.A. last night. Among the stars in attendance, were Emmanuelle Vaugier (Dr. Helen Bryce) and John Schneider (Jonathan Kent). Also in attendance were the casts of "Angel," "Run of the House," and "Like Family."     It's official! Michael McKean has been cast in the role of Perry White, the future editor of the Daily Planet, and Clark Kent's future boss. At this point, however, Perry White is an alcoholic who's at a low point in his life. Michael McKean is Annette O'Toole's (Martha Kent)  husband.

  • Vote for the Teen Choice Award!
    Smallville was nominated for Best Drama TV Show and TV Action Adventure for the Philippine’s Teen Voice Awards. In addition, Tom Welling (Clark Kent) was nominated for Best Actor and Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang), for Best Actress. The awards night is scheduled to take place on November 29, 2003 at the Philsports Track & Field Oval.

    A third trailer for “Exile” appeared after the final episode of Season Two. The trailer featured both new and old scenes, as well as an eerie message: “Two lives forever linked by fate. Bound by a destiny neither can escape.

  • Smallville Spoiler in USA Today
    An interview with Al Gough, executive producer of “Smallville,” appears in the September 12th issue of USA Today. In it, Gough reveals that Jonathan Kent (John Schneider) will temporarily receive superpowers from Jor-El as a means of bringing Clark (Tom Welling) home. Watch out for an incredible father/son brawl! Click here.

  • Inventor of Smallville Talks about Birth of the Show
    Check out the Austin360 Website for a cool article on Tim McCanlies, inventor of the concept for the Smallville TV Series. The show was born when McCanlies originally pitched a show called Bruce Wayne to the WB. The 22 episode “Bruce Wayne” included a two-part episode in which a kid named Clark Kent shows up and won’t leave Bruce Wayne alone. WB objected to the series, since it alluded far too much to “Batman,” but signed off on the concept of a Smallville series. You’ll have to check out the article to get the full story on this controversial birth of Smallville!

  • Michael McKean to Appear in Season Three...
    The folks at SmallvilleFans.com have stated that Michael McKean has been cast as character Perry White, the well-known Editor-In-Chief of the Daily Planet from the Superman movies, in the Smallville series. McKean, who has starred in many television shows and movies including “Laverne & Shirley,” “Clerks,” and “A Mighty Wind,” will be appearing in the fifth episode of Season Three, titled “Perry.” Michael McKean is married to Annette O’Toole (Martha Kent).

  • Smallville Premieres Around the World!
    Around the world, new Smallville fans are born each day! Though fans in the United States and Canada are awaiting the premiere of Season Three, other countries are just being introduced to Season Two. In Spain, Season Two will premiere on Channel TVE1 at 10 pm on Tuesday, September 9th. It has already premiered on Pay-Per-View channel Canal this past week in Spain.
    A French version of Smallville will be showing in Quebec, starting on October 24th on the VRAK TV channel. Stay tuned for information on the time!

    Twist Magazine acknowledged Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) and Gabrielle Union for having good taste in their October/November issue with this description: "We know a good stuff outfit when we see one. Of Kristin’s dress, they say: "With her ballerina-inspired tank top and ball gown bottom, Kristin proves that her superpower is style!" Clearly Kristin’s style is simple, but elegant!     The Toronto Star has reported that Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan) will be making an appearance at singer/actress Hilary Duff’s 16th Birthday celebration in Toronto on Sunday, September 7th, 2003. Hilary’s Birthday will consist of two events held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Downtown Ontario promoting the charity “Kids With A Cause”: “High Tea With Hilary” and “Celebrity Charity Challenge.”

    Also look for Hilary to share the big screen with Tom Welling (Clark Kent) in the upcoming film, “Cheaper by the Dozen.”

  • Tom and Kristin in Gossip Award Poll
    Tom Welling (Clark Kent) and Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) are up or awards in the Australian magazine Girlfriend’s online “Gossip Award” poll. Log onto the site to vote for your favorite stars—Tom for “Hottest Boy on the Box” and Kristin for “Best Kick-Butt Babe.” You can also vote Smallville as the “Top Show on the Telly” category.
