  • Cheaper by the Dozen Article!!
Thanks to DTS for the transcript of the small article in Seventeen Magazine about Tom Welling (Clark Kent) and his new movie, Cheaper by the Dozen. Here it is:
    "Superboy
It's a bird, it's a plane, its... flying breakfast food? We found Smallville's Tom Welling up to his neck in eggs.
Kryptonite brings Clark Kent to his knees, but Tom Welling's toxic substance is stranger: scrambled eggs. "In one scene, there's havoc at the breakfast table and eggs go flying everywhere--I ended up completely covered," he says. "I haven't eaten them since." The food fight was part of his first movie, Cheaper by the Dozen (also starring Hilary Duff and due out in late December). Tom plays Charlie Baker, one of the 12 farm kids who move to Chicago when their dad (Steve Martin) becomes coach of a college football team. Charlie's torn between his small-town roots and his new fast paced life in the metropolis. Sounds familiar-- but Tom swears the role isn't a Clark rerun. "Charlie is slightly darker and more mature than that other guy," says Tom. Besides the egg fiasco, Charlie has to deal with big-city bullies who stuff cornstalks in his locker (don't ask!). Life on the set, however, is low-key -- Tom spends his off hours shooting hoops with Steve Martin. "I'm just having fun," he says. You don't need X-ray vision to see that. - Dina Sansing"

  • 20 pages on Smallville!!
Last month, we reported to you that CFQ will have a 20-page feature on Smallville for their August/September issue. You will be able to read comments made by the directors, writers, producers and many other crew members. Here's a few extracts about certain Season 2 episodes:
    - Redux: “It was also a bad script, and no one had the energy to make it better, so it was a dismal experience. I will say that Mat Beck and his guys really saved it with a lot of visuals effects; when I finally saw it on the air, I thought it wasn’t that bad.” – Greg Beeman
    - Prodigal: "Here is a great example of Lionel's parenting skills: He pits them against each other. What the episode does is it gives you an insight into how just %!#@ up the Luthors are and how far Lionel will go, then they turn on him, which is great.” - Al Gough
Visage "What was fun is that we really wanted, quite honestly, to kill off Whitney." – Al Gough
    - Precipice: “In the original script and the early cut of the show, the stabbing of Helen was really, really violent. It was the bloodiest scene we’d done and it had to be cut way back." – Miles Millar
