Dean Cain lands in 'Urban Decay'.
08 Aug 2006
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fangoria have reported that former TV Superman Dean Cain, rocker Meat Loaf
Aday and actress Brooke Burns (Single White Female 2) face off against a
“homeless cannibal zombie” in Urban Decay, a low-budget gorefest that just
wrapped lensing in LA.
Harry Basil (Soul's Midnight) helmed the film from a script by Don Adams and
Harry Picardi (Jigsaw, Vengeance of the Dead). Vincent Guastini (Hood of
Horror) handled the lead ghoul’s makeup. “Urban Decay is an un-politically
correct look at the homeless,” says producer Pat Siciliano (The Exotic House
of Wax). “Dean Cain is our zombie hunter in the movie, while Meat Loaf plays
a disc jockey.”

Did Teri Hatcher Get to E! On HDTV?
By Bob Parsons
HD Observer
Washington, D.C. (August 24, 2006) -- I read in Swanni's newsletter
yesterday that E! Entertainment will not show the Red Carpet Emmys show
(this Sunday) in HDTV. So INHD won't be able to show it in high-def.
(Editor's Note: INHD, a high-def network, has broadcast the Live From the
Red Carpet Emmys pre-awards show since 2003; the show was produced in
high-def by E!, which allowed INHD to air it in HD. However, INHD said this
week that it will not air the HDTV broadcast because E! has decided not to
produce it high-def. See Emmys for more.)
The Red Carpet show was great. On my HDTV, you could see the TV stars as
they really look. The picture was unbelievable. It was like seeing them in
my living room.
Teri Hatcher's forehead veins were visible in HD.
But I think that the stars got upset that you could see them as they look in
real life. Swanni reported last year about Teri Hatcher's bulging veins on
her forehead as she walked down the red carpet and Donald Trump's pasty
face. I think they put pressure on E! not to show the show in HDTV.
Maybe that's not the case, but maybe it is, too. Either way, I wish the E
channel would change their mind and show the Red Carpet show in HDTV!
(Editor's Note: Sarah Goldstein, a spokeswoman for E!, told
TVPredictions.com Thursday that the channel's HD awards coverage is decided
on a "case by case basis." However, she said she could not explain why E!
will not broadcast this year's Emmys pre-awards show in HD after having done
so for three straight years. Pressed for a specific reason, Goldstein
responded: "What is this? Woodward and Bernstein?" Goldstein said she would
call back after trying to get a better explanation. She had not returned the
call as of Friday morning.)

Teri Hatcher Protects Her Young
Posted Aug 10th 2006 5:05PM by TMZ Staff

Teri Hatcher was spotted last Thursday shopping at a cellular phone store in
Los Angeles with her 8 year-old daughter, Emerson. The duo were shopping for
a pink RAZR cell phone that Emerson wanted. Hatcher appeared hesitant to buy
Emerson that particular phone because she said she had heard bad things
about the phone's quality.
Sources tell TMZ that Hatcher was very protective of her daughter- not
letting her roam the store unless she was by her side. When asked for her
daughter's Social Security number to activate the cell phone account,
Hatcher was reluctant to give the sales clerk such information. Hatcher
immediately phoned a male confidant on her cell phone to get advice on the
matter. The confidant okayed giving Emerson's Social Security number to the
clerk, and also advised Teri not to buy the RAZR for Emerson due to his own
daughter's problems with her phone.
In the end, Hatcher opted to buy a Samsung phone for Emerson.

Teri Hatcher teaches Emerson business skills
Teri Hatcher is seen supporting her daughter's charitable business venture
in a People snapshot. The Desperate Housewives actress and her daughter,
8-year-old Emerson Rose were raising money by working a very tropical
looking lemonade stand. The money is going to a disability dog training
program called Canine Companions.
Emerson wears Crocs Caymans ($30).

Hatcher Speaks: Teri, Unpublicized
There's a reason so many celebrities choose to insulate themselves from the
media through the censorial safety of their problem-minimizing,
blame-deflecting publicists: They tend to muck matters up further when they
speak for themselves, although the results are never less than amusing. Take
for example this e-mail from boxer-brief exhibitionist Teri
