An attractive blonde woman – looking anxious and all around her, crosses
the street on a bright sunny day in the city. She seems to be in a hurry to
get to her car and when she reaches it, drops the paper bag she is carrying.
It seems that the bag contains bottles as one breaks and cuts her hand.
Behind her, Leo materialises and we learn that her name is Daisy and that
she knows Leo. He allays her fears and tells her she has to be strong a
little longer. She tells him that she knows “he” will find her and that “he”
has powers. She seems to know Leo is her protector but is surprised when he
heals her hand. He tells her that he has powerful friends who can help Daisy
and we find out that her stalker is called Alec. Still weary that he may
find her, Daisy asks Leo what would happen if that was the case but Leo
tells her that he has made her invisible to her stalker.
At that moment, Alec appears seemingly unaware of Daisy’s presence as he
calls out “Where are you, Daisy?” Leo tells her to leave and she does whilst
Alec taunts Leo about his love for Piper. Leo then divulges that Alec is a
darklighter and that they aren’t capable of love. Alec maintains that he
does love Daisy and was able to go to her wherever she was until he wasn’t
able to sense her any longer. Leo tells Alec that he won’t be able to find
Daisy as long as he lives and Alec, telling Leo he has a solution for that,
walks away and in his hand materialises a bow and arrow which he promptly
shoots at Leo.
At the Manor, Prue and Phoebe are getting ready to go to a condo that one of
Prue’s colleagues has lent them. Whilst they discuss the fact that Piper is
giving up on men as she is afraid of falling in love again, they hear a
crash in the attic and Piper calls them in a panic. Once they get there,
they see that Leo has appeared - with the arrow in his shoulder.
Prue grabs all the first-aid equipment they have whilst she and Piper try to
digest the information about him being a whitelighter. Since the arrow is
tipped with poison, they cannot pull it out manually so Prue uses her power
to do it. He explains about Daisy and that Darklighters seduce innocent
women to reproduce evil, but Alec broke the rules and fell in love however,
once Daisy found out about his role as a Darklighter she left him. Prue and
Phoebe tell Leo they’ll find Alec but are warned by Leo not to let him touch
them since his power is in his hands.
At the police station, Daryl explains to Andy that Internal Affairs is on
their back and he still doesn’t know why. At that moment, Prue rings and
Andy pretends it’s someone else until Daryl calls him out since the guy that
Andy pretended it was became a father the day before.
At Quake, Andy and Prue discuss their situation. She asks if Internal
Affairs can force the truth out of Andy but he tells her that he wouldn’t.
She explains that she needs help with finding Daisy and he tells her that
he’ll be there whenever she needs him.
At the manor, Phoebe brings Leo food and he asks about Piper, who Phoebe
explains is having a hard time trying to process the news. Phoebe asks Leo
about the whitelighter’s ability to heal but Leo tells her that his power is
for others and that he can’t use it on himself which means he is dying since
a darklighter’s poison can’t be reversed anyway.
Downstairs, Piper is looking through the book to try and help Leo and Phoebe
tells her that perhaps she should accept the possibility that Leo isn’t
their innocent, but Piper disagrees.
Elsewhere, Alec has confronted Daisy, taunting her with memories of their
time together but she refuses to reciprocate. He tells her that he can find
her whenever he wants and has done now because he clipped Leo’s wings but
she still tells him that she won’t go with him willingly. At that moment,
the manager knocks on the door and then bursts in but Alec strangles him and
then throws him to the floor while Daisy escapes. Prue and Andy arrive and
Prue uses her power to throw Alec across the room but he escapes too.
Back at the manor, Piper thinks she’s found the solution to their problem
with Leo – switch powers so she can heal him. The sisters agree and Piper
casts the spell but they don’t feel anything. Testing whether it worked or
not, Piper tries to freeze Kit but to no avail. Prue then gestures to
Phoebe, touching her shoulder and she gets a premonition of Kit shattering a
vase. Phoebe sees Kit near the vase and lifts her hand up to gesture that
the cat should move away but it seems that she has Prue’s power because she
throws the vase instead!
Phoebe runs off to get the phone and Piper tries to heal Leo but it doesn’t
appear to be working. Prue tells her to relax and that she may have to find
Leo’s trigger rather than her own since the powers are his. Phoebe comes
back and explains that it was Andy calling and that Daisy has bought a bus
ticket which means she’s on the run again. Prue points out that it’ll be
difficult to find her if she does leave but Piper refuses to reverse the
spell until she heals Leo.
At the police station, Andy is being questioned by Internal Affairs
specifically about the fact that he showed up at the scene of the crime at
the hotel before the manager’s murder was reported. Andy maintains that he
got a tip-off but Inspector Rodriguez believes he is lying since they have
witnesses that saw Andy there with an attractive brunette. Andy refuses to
talk and gives up his badge and gun then leaves.
At the bus station, Daisy is on her way out of the city but everyone she
bumps into turns out to be Alec! Prue is trying to trigger her power in
Phoebe by causing her to anger but it doesn’t work until Prue remembers what
the people at school called her – freebie. It works because Phoebe throws
magazines off a rack. She in turn urges Prue to try and get a premonition
which she does – of Daisy in the bathroom. Sure enough, Daisy has been
confronted by Alec in the bathroom when Phoebe and Prue run in and see him
off. They take his bow and tell Daisy that Leo sent them.
At the Manor, Leo is getting worse and believes he will die but tells Piper
that with her is where he wanted to be, and then he tells her he loves her.
Downstairs, Prue receives flowers from Andy who tells her he needs to see
her right away. She leaves and Daisy and Phoebe go up to the attic where
they find Piper in tears and Leo dead. Daisy decides to leave since Leo has
now gone and taken his protection of her with him, but Piper tells her that
if she does leave, Leo’s death will be in vain.
In a park, Andy explains what happened to him, to Prue. He tells her to be
careful and she feels sad that he is going to lose everything he ever worked
for. She apologizes but he tells her not to be sorry since everything
happens for a reason.
In the attic, Phoebe tries to help Piper who is angry at Leo for not showing
her how his power worked so that she could save him. Later, she tells him
she loves him and begins to cry, her tears fall onto her hand and it lights
up – she found the trigger! Telling him she loves him, she heals him and he
wakes up. She asks why he couldn’t tell her that the trigger was love but he
tells her that she had to find it out herself and that it was better late
Leo tells everyone they need to find a power of three spell and Alec
materialises, grabbing Piper and threatening her, then Prue walks in and
Alec manages to throw Piper and grab Daisy then they orb away.
Leo urges Piper to use his sensing power to find Daisy which she does but
they can’t use a power of three spell since Leo is too weak. Phoebe tells
him that she has a plan and that Piper should stay with Leo whilst she and
Prue go to Daisy.
In a forest, Alec throws Daisy to the ground in a clearing and when Phoebe
and Prue show up, Phoebe uses Prue’s power to throw him away from Daisy.
Prue then appears to cast the power switching spell on Alec which would mean
he would get the power of premonition and Prue would get the power of
death’s touch. The spell works and Phoebe moves Alec towards Prue who kills
him, casting the spell to take Phoebe’s powers back.
At the Manor, Leo explains about how he became a whitelighter and gained
immortality. He tells her that is she wants him to become human again he
would do it for her but she tells him that it would mean he would no longer
be able to help people. They embrace and he leaves.
At a construction site, Internal Affairs watch from their car as Andy meets
Daryl who tells him that they asked him to wear a mike but he refused. Daryl
implores Andy to tell him what’s going on and Andy relents – admitting that
Prue is connected to all their unsolved cases. In the car, Rodriguez’
partner tells him he can’t hear anything but Rodriguez says that Andy is
covering up for Prue Halliwell! His partner asks how he knows that and turns
to look at him, whilst Rodriguez stares back with red eyes, and then he
screams and kills his partner.
At the Manor, Prue and Phoebe since they didn’t get to go to Cabo, drink
cocktails and agree that after having walked in each other’s shoes so to
speak, they appreciate the strength that they both have to be able to do
what they do.
1.22 – Déjà vu All Over Again
In his apartment, Rodriguez is looking at pictures of the sisters. The fire
erupts and a demon called Tempus arrives. He has been sent to Rodriguez as a
gift to help him get rid of the Charmed Ones.
Tempus is sceptical about Rodriguez’ ability to defeat the Charmed Ones. He
tells him to gather the girls by midnight but also that if he fails, he will
help Rodriguez to learn from his failures.
At the Manor, a weather forecast predicts good weather for that Wednesday
morning and Phoebe is on the phone to Piper who is at Quake early (8am). Kit
knocks over a seasoning shaker and Phoebe asks if she can take another dress
to Quake because she’s spilt food over the one she is wearing. Prue then
remarks at the front page but before she can explain further they hear a
crash outside and Prue asks where Phoebe parked her car last night to which
Phoebe responds “in the driveway…I think!” They rush to the window and are
relieved that the car in the crash is Mrs Henderson’s rather than Prue’s.
Going back to the paper, Andy is on the front page as a suspect in the
murder of the Internal Affairs man. Phoebe takes the newspaper from Prue and
has a premonition of herself and Piper over Andy’s dead body!
At the police station, Andy is being kept for questioning by Rodriguez who
tells him that he thinks he is innocent of his partner’s murder. He shows
him a picture of his partner and tells Andy that he believes that he was
murdered by something supernatural. Rodriguez then tells Andy he knows he is
covering for Prue Halliwell and that she is a witch, then he asks Andy to go
to Prue and get her to meet him.
Visiting Tempus, Rodriguez tells him of his plan – he believes that Andy
will tell Prue to meet Rodriguez but that she should have her sisters with
her for protection. Tempus is again sceptical but Rodriguez assures him of
At Quake, Phoebe takes another dress to Piper who is waiting for the segment
producer for the show she is going to be on. Phoebe tells her about her
premonition and as Piper is dealing with the information she is called by
someone who appears to recognise her from somewhere. The woman tells her she
is Joanne Hertz from her school and that she’s the segment producer! Piper
freezes her, feeling inadequate since she is a “cash strapped single
restaurant manager who still lives in the same house she grew up in with her
sisters”. Phoebe reassures her that she is successful and tells her to hurry
since they need to find the demon that will kill Andy.
In the park, Prue is warning Andy to keep his guard up and Andy wonders if
Rodriguez is a demon since he knew that Prue is a witch and wanted a meeting
with her. She tells Andy to tell Rodriguez she will meet with him at 6pm and
she asks Andy to promise that he will stay away which initially he is
reluctant to do but eventually agrees with.
At the Manor, Andy is outside in his car watching as Rodriguez walks up to
the house with Kit scowling at him all the way.
The sisters are inside going over their plan, Phoebe is to answer the door
and kick Rodriguez away, then Piper is to freeze him and Prue is going to
come down the stairs and send him flying.
The doorbell rings and Phoebe goes to answer the door, as Rodriguez turns
around his eyes catch Phoebe by surprise and he uses his powers on her
sending her flying. Piper and Prue keep up their end of the plan and
Rodriguez is vanquished – but at Phoebe’s expense.
At Rodriguez’ apartment, Tempus realises he has failed and resets the clock.
Rodriguez reappears and Tempus tells him that time has been reset to give
him another chance.
The day begins again for the sisters, the same weather forecast replays;
Phoebe is on the phone but feels like she is having a déjà vu. She tells
Prue that everything that is happening has happened before. Then Prue
remarks again about the paper’s front page, they hear the crash, then Prue
tells Phoebe about the front page and Andy being a suspect and once again –
she has the premonition about Andy’s death.
In the police station, the same scene with Rodriguez and Andy plays out,
with Rodriguez noticeably more anxious since he knows what has already
happened, asking Andy to get Prue to meet him.
Back at Quake, Phoebe is telling Piper about her déjà vu and again, Joanne
appears but this time, before she gets to say her name Phoebe blurts it out.
She tells Piper to freeze Joanne and then that Joanne is about to brag about
her marriage and that she’s the segment producer, making Piper feel
inadequate. Sure enough, when Piper unfreezes Joanne, she speaks everything
that Phoebe told Piper she would. Piper freezes her once again and Phoebe
explains that she thinks she feels that it’s happened before because her
power lets her see things that have and will happen at different times.
In the park, Prue is once again warning Andy about his death and to stay
away but this time, she feels a sense of Déjà vu. This time however, instead
of saying she cares for Andy she tells him she still loves him.
The meeting begins again with Andy sitting outside the house in his car
watching Rodriguez walk up the front steps with Kit scowling at him again.
In the house, the girls are looking for a spell to reverse timeloops when
the doorbell rings. Phoebe goes to answer the door but Rodriguez bursts in
throws Phoebe and uses his power on Piper. Then Prue comes down the stairs
and manages to vanquish him but this time at the expense of both of her
Once again, Tempus resets time and Rodriguez is brought back.
Once again, the day begins with Phoebe on the phone but this time she is
able to pre-empt what Piper is going to say and what Kit is about to do. She
tells Piper to get home asap and takes Prue to the window, walking her
through the “fender-bender” with Mrs Henderson’s car. She then explains
what’s going on to Prue and about her premonition which she realises she
hasn’t had yet that morning. Figuring out that it has something to do with
the paper, she tells Prue to look at the front page which Prue duly does -
only this time she doesn’t take the paper from Prue.
At Quake, instead of Phoebe explaining about Joanne, Piper tells her that
she can’t do the segment and that just because she doesn’t have a “flashy
job or flashy ring” doesn’t mean she’s any less of a person and when she
realises her dreams, she will get there with her own nose!
In the park, Prue is explaining to Andy about the time loop and again about
his death. She asks him to make the promise to stay away and that she loves
At the time of the meeting, Andy is again outside watching Rodriguez walk up
to the house but this time, when Kit scowls at him, Rodriguez flashes his
red eyes at the cat causing Andy to fear for Prue and grab his gun.
In the house, the girls are reading the book when Rodriguez bursts in and
uses his power. Piper grabs Prue and they get out of the way, then Phoebe
dodges the fireball but Andy burst in and Rodriguez hits him with it,
throwing him across the room and playing out Phoebe’s premonition. The girls
tie Rodriguez up and wait for Prue to regain consciousness. Phoebe believes
that they can save Andy by using Rodriguez’ death as the trigger for the
They try to wake Prue up but she has a dream in which she and Andy are in a
place surrounded by fog. Andy tells her he is staying but she isn’t because
he broke his promise and came to the Manor, meaning that Phoebe’s
premonition is one that Prue couldn’t stop. He tells her that she must go
back and stop the time loop from resetting otherwise his death will have
been in vain. They kiss and Prue regains consciousness and sees Andy’s body.
She asks for the Book Of Shadows and reads the spell to accelerate time and
break the loop meaning they won’t be able to save Andy.
Prue believes that Rodriguez doesn’t have the power to kill them otherwise
he wouldn’t have needed Tempus and unties Rodriguez to let him go. Before he
reaches the door, he turns and makes one last attempt to kill them but Prue
deflects his fireball and kills him.
Finally able to grieve for Andy, she kneels over his body and cries. At the
funeral, she places a rose on Andy’s coffin and says goodbye.
At the Manor, Piper tells Phoebe that because of Joanne, she’s decided to
quit her job and try to realise her dreams. Outside, Prue is sitting on the
steps and tells them that she feels good about what they’ve achieved as
witches because it balances out the bad things that they have to go through.
