From TVWEEK: TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer,"
Sarah Michelle
Gellar, is set to star in a new pilot for HBO
from writer Charles Randolph, Daily Variety reports. The
half-hour series, "The Wonderful Maladys," will focus on a group
of three siblings who lost their parents when they were young.
The pilot is expected to shoot early next year, with Gellar,
Randolph and Brillstein Entertainment Partners serving as
executive producers, according to the trade paper.
Giles stars in new Arthur series! The BBC announced they have started filming the new series
Merlin, in a co-production with Shine Limited for broadcast this
fall. The series will focus on a young Merlin and Arthur and
their congoing clashes in Camelot. Merlin is being played by
Colin Morgan and Arthur is being played by Bradley James.
Richard Wilson will be Gauis and
Anthony Head (ex-Giles)
will be Uther. It is being produced by Julian Murphy, Johnny
Capps, Jake Michie, and Julian Jones, who have been involved in
the series Hex and Sugar Rush. From Lee at

Eliza Dushku (Faith) stars in the great FOX series,
developed by Buffy/Angel/Firefly creator Joss Whedon,
"Dollhouse". It has been renewed for Fall 2009!
Seth Green (Oz) plays Chris on "Family Guy"
(FOX); he does other
voices on that show and on his own show, "Robot Chicken"
(Cartoon Network), which
he also writes, directs, and produces.
Bailey Chase (Graham) is one of the
stars of "Saving Grace" on TNT.
James Marsters (Spike) has had many cool recurring
roles in the past few years in
"Smallville", "Without a Trace" and "Torchwood". He stars
in the new movie "Dragonball", based on the popular cartoon,
opening in October. He also plays Buzz Aldrin in the docudrama "Moonshot",
out in 2009.
Michelle Trachtenberg has a recurring
role on "Gossip Girl" on the CW. She has recently
appeared in the successful movie
17 Again, as Maggie. She is set to star in the fall 2009 NBC
drama
Mercy.
