Top Gear seems to be a show about British guys driving various
vehicles really fast and talking a lot about them. I can't think of anything
more boring. Then again, I'm probably not their target audience. I'm guessing
this is a show for guys, especially NASCAR fans or people who like to watch
Spike TV or any kind of car chase or wrecks. So much for the stereotype that
British TV being so much classier and better than American TV!
Apparently there are a lot of people like that because this is a very popular
program in its 13th season! Actually, it is the second version of the show that
ran from 1977 to 2001. This version has a lot more humor. To me, it's not all
that funny. Maybe if you are into cars, it's hilarious.
The DVD set has a ton of great extras for any Top Gear fan. Buy it for your
favorite car fan or race fan and they will surely love it.
