This is a Canadian show that I'd never heard of. It reminds me
of "Home Improvement". If you loved that show, you will probably love this one.
It is all about a guy fixing things using duct tape and making lame jokes. It
doesn't have the cute sitcom family, though, that the other show does. It has
some odd characters, however, besides the main guy, Red Green.
I have to admit that while I didn't think I would love the show,
it did make me chuckle a few times. It wasn't all old, bad jokes. It's the kind
of gentle humor that you might have grown up with as a kid. All ages would
like this and be able to watch it with no problem. It has lots of
silliness and fun.
The only real extra is a look back at the show over the years.
That was fun to see. I might have to see if I can find the earlier years of the
show, just to see what it was like.
The Red Green Show: The Geezer Years (Seasons 2003-2005) (DVD Debut) -
For the first time on DVD, the hit PBS comedy's final three seasons.
Hilarious handyman Red and the gang are back for one last round of
manly misadventures. As Red Green says, "Things don't improve with
age. Look at your truck. Look at your roof. Look in the mirror."
"Lower your expectations, and lead a happier life." and "Remember, you
may have to grow old, but you don't have to mature."
