Perry Mason Movie Collection Volume 1

 Review by Suzanne Lanoue 12/25/14

I always loved the old "Perry Mason" show. Growing up, I watched it a lot in re-runs. It was great in the late 80's when they brought the show back as a series of movies! Perry and Della were still great. William Katt (who's most known for the show "The Great American Hero") is the real-life son of Barbara Hale (Della), and he joined the show as the son of detective Paul Drake. He gives the show a nice young "vibe".  David Ogden Stiers (most known for "M*A*S*H") is the prosecuting attorney.

This set has 6 great movies from the show.  Unfortunately, there are no other features or extras on the set. Still, the movies are great fun. I enjoy seeing all of the wonderful guest-stars from the past and present. Any fan of drama or mystery should enjoy this set. I can't wait for Volume 2!

An ideal collection for crime-drama fans, the Perry Mason Movie Collection—Volume 1, will be available exclusively on Amazon and includes some of the legendary attorney’s most dramatic cases.  Boasting six made-for-TV movies that originally aired between 1985-1987, this must-own three-DVD set includes “Perry Mason Returns,” in which Raymond Burr reprises his role and gives up a judgeship in order to defend his former secretary (Barbara Hale); “The Case of the Notorious Nun,” in which a nun is suspected of murdering a priest; “The Case of the Shooting Star,” in which an on-air joke goes horribly wrong; “The Case of the Lost Love,” in which Mason must defend the husband of an old flame; “The Case of the Sinister Spirit,” in which a horror writer mysteriously falls from a building; and “The Case of the Murdered Madam,” in which Mason defends an old friend of Della’s when the man’s wife is murdered.

We need more episode guide recap writers, article writers, MS FrontPage and Web Expression users, graphics designers, and more, so please email us if you can help out!  More volunteers always needed!  Thanks!
