Nip/Tuck - The Complete Fourth Season

Nip/Tuck - The Complete Fourth Season

  Review by Laurie 1/5/08

This original FX series features the lives and careers of two of Miami’s plastic surgeons. Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon play “good cop, bad cop” surgeons Sean McNamera and Christian Troy. The show allows views to look inside the lives of the surgeons and their patients. Season four had a number of guest stars including Larry Hagman, Brooke Shields, Rosie O’Donnel, and Jacqueline Bisset.

Julian McMahon is an Australian born model turned actor. He’s been on a number of series including “Profiler” and “Charmed.” He was also on the daytime drama, “Another World.” California born Dylan Walsh has had roles in numerous films, including “Betsy’s Wedding” and “Nobody’s Fool.” The show also stars John Hensley, Roma Maffia (“Chicago Hope,” “Profiler”), Kelly Carlson, and Joely Richardson (“The Patriot”).

This complete fourth season of Nip Tuck consists of 5 discs. There are 15 complete episodes. The set includes scenes that have never been on the air. It also includes a “gag reel.” A word to the wise – this series is not rated but it is meant for a mature audience.

Although I’m not a fan of medial themed shows, I love Nip Tuck. It’s filled with drama and excitement. I find shows like Nip Tuck more enjoyable when they feature interesting guest stars. I especially enjoyed watching Rosie O’Donnel as Dawn Budge. Her love scene with Julian McMahon was interesting, to say the least. I highly recommend season four of Nip Tuck. It is a worthwhile investment for those who enjoyed the previous seasons of Nip Tuck. For those who are unfamiliar with the show, I would recommend starting from the beginning with season one.
