Mad: Season 1 Pt. 2

Mad: Season 1 Pt. 2

 Review by Suzanne Lanoue 2/9/12

I had never heard of this show, but of course I grew up reading the magazine (like most people do!). It is pretty funny. I think kids and young people would enjoy it more than I did because there are a lot of references to things I never saw or watched, or pop stars I never heard of. It's not quite as bad that way as "Robot Chicken", though.

It is like any type of comedy skit show, like Saturday Night Live, except it's all cartoons. It has some of the same features as Mad Magazine always did, like Spy Vs. Spy. Any fan of "Mad", past or present, should enjoy it. I'm not saying it's the funniest thing on TV, but it's pretty funny.

The DVD has 13 episodes, which is a lot to watch. This will keep you entertained for quite a while. There are no extras or features.
