Greatest Superbowl Moments

 Review by Suzanne Lanoue 1/6/12

I'm not a football fan, so I had my husband watch this with me. He seemed to enjoy it. It's really long, though, since it covers so many games over the past 45 years.  I only like the NFL videos that feature goofs or things like that, so it was not my kind of thing. I think any football fan would love it, though. It would make a great birthday or Father's Day gift. It might be something you want to get to watch before the big Super Bowl game this year (or after).

My husband also pointed out that the quality of NFL films is always great. He often watches different types of games on ESPN Classic, and the basketball or baseball games from the 60's through even the 80's tend to be grainy and not great quality (probably from video). However, the NFL started filming theirs early on so it has survived much better.

The disk set also has three features. The first one is about the phrase "They can't take it away from us" when used for Super Bowl wins. The second one, "Ambush" is about Super Bowl 46 between the Colts and the Saints. The Third one is "Sam Wyche's Super Agony", about Super Bowl 23 between Cincinnati and San Francisco.

I wish they would come out with a similar DVD that had all the half-time acts. That I would like! Or even just the highlights would be great.
