"Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (DVD)

  Review by Suzanne 11/13/04

I hadn't seen this movie before (maybe five minutes when flipping past cable).  I didn't realize how funny it was and how it really does represent high school life (especially back in the 70's and 80's).  I also didn't realize how many well known actors were in it besides Sean Penn.  Eric Stoltz, Nicholas Cage and many others played small roles in it.  It is a very fun movie and it also makes a few points about young people.

The DVD has a special about the making of the show (looking back on it, mostly) with most of the actors.  It has some trailers and a map to places in LA where they filmed it.  I would have liked to have seen more extras, to be honest.  But the movie is a classic and you should definitely buy it.
